Well, this juvie chose this branch so we can all see him/her. It's the branch Belle and Lib are sitting on in our favorite picture, I do believe.

Listen, Shamie. Quit complaining. Once we get some more flight hours and are six months old, we can really go out on the town. I heard there's a really cool place in Hancock called the Potomac River Edge Grill. Good food and cute eaglet chicks and eaglet studmuffins. Come on, let's go practice flying.

Oh, my gosh, I have so much to do, but can't tear myself away from the screen ! Tomorrow evening I'm flying to NJ for grandson Cooper's H.S. graduation. Will be there a week and not sure how much puter time I'll get, but I'll try !
Seth just called to tell me he and Julie found a starving white cat in the woods near the river where they were exercising Malcolm. They captured her and delivered her to a Cat Rescue House in our area. Hope she makes it !

Parent just landed in the nest and the juvie dropped down. Must be food time!

The other juvie just flew into the nest from the far side of the tree. So both are in there as well as one parent, I think.
Good thing I don't work on the NCTC campus! If I could watch this live every day, I would be a most unproductive employee!!
I think you're right, SANDI, it's mealtime. Gives me the break I need for some ironing and packing prelim.

Kathryn called and asked if I could pick up a prescription for her. Going to have to tear myself away for a bit.
She has spoken with the woman who damaged her car. She yelled at Kathryn because Kathryn does not want to have her car fixed at the place this woman chooses. Yikes! I think that is Kathryn's choice.

When I go to full screen, I can see glimpses of a white head still in the nest. Am waiting to see the parent fly-out and then I really do need to get up from this chair and do something!
PattiO, where are you?? We are reporting on our eagles!
Didn't see a parent fly out but am only seeing 2 dark "blobs" moving in the nest - no glimpses of a white head - so we may just have the 2 juvies in the nest. Parent could have flown out from the side that's away from the camera and, with all the leaves, I missed it. But the kids are definitely still in the nest.
But wouldn't it be a great job to get to watch these eagles for a living?

One juvie flew out of the nest and has now landed back up on the branch above it.
Just saw a white head fly into the nest, and then right back out. So one juvie is in the nest and one is above. OK, I am walking away from the computer now. But I'll be back!! Woohoo!!
Have no idea what WWF is. I am glad I saw the photo on Shirleys FB wall. Such great news for all of us.
Poor little cat. Those things sadden me to no end because of all the ones who are not found in time. Humans can be despicable and wonderful. ok nuff of that. So great to see Hedgie and Shamrock.
Wowser! I have been watching and the fly ins give you chills. This is the cam we have always wanted as an extra to the nest cam. This is wonderful. Thanks NCTC staff and Live Eagle Cam for helping us get rid of our Withdrawals.

We are home and I am watching the cam. So very exciting to have this view, wish we had the other too. But, this is so fantastic.

All went well for Jack. He is sitting here eating an apple and cheese at the moment. Doctor removed one polyp and we will know next week about the biopsy, but he figured it was precancerous, so Jack will probably have to go back in 5 years instead of 10.
Have not seen an eagle flying yet, but did see a flock of birds fly by. Cool!

Hurray for Blackwater - I must read to find out if they ever found the other 2 eggs. They are assuming that there was only 1 egg to hatch and really don't know where the other 2 are.

Judy, you can see the photo that Shirley took of both juvies on her FB, posted about 3 hours ago. Glad that you were able to "find" the nest. Earlier today, the sky was brighter so there was more contrast. Still, I could only find the nest when there were eagles in it b/c I could see them moving.
Glo, WWF stands for Words With Friends. Also stands for World Wrestling Federation but I don't think that's what Shirley (?) meant when she said she posted about the cam on WWF! =)

I think the only time you are going to see any of the eagles is when they fly in and land on the "attic" branch.

PAULA how big is your lap top and is it easy to type like a desktop The laptop I have is a PIA big time keys are so close together Its a small one They didn't have the one I wanted when I went on vaca I just bought it anyway

Judy, my laptop is about 15.5 " diagonal. It's an HP...I like the keyboard...it is full size, plus it has the keypad as well.
Last time we were at the nest several years ago, Jack and I sat out there about this time of night on the campus waiting for the eagles to fly in, Just as we were about to give up, here they came, circled the tree and flew off. I feel like I am sitting there now.
I think it's best to go to the store and try them out...it's all about the feel.

The cam doesn't have a nite lite, according to OD. Wonder if it's one they resurrected.
