What an awesome view...like none we have had on live feed before.... I love Tom Selleck's voice but that was a looooooong 27 seconds waiting for RVing to end and Eagle Watching to Begin !!
NOTICE: The live camera above the nest is non-functional at this time. In the meantime, the camera view you're seeing is from a distant point, directed at the tree. The nest is located about half-way down the tree mostly obstructed by leaves. Thank you for your patience
Just got home from running errands and read Lolly's post that we have a live cam!!
Woohoo - how cool!!! Thanks Steve and the crew at NCTC!!! With the juvies flying now, the other cam would be showing us an MT nest much of the time anyway.
Oh, Happy Day !!! What a thrill to tune in and see one of our precious feathered friends atop a tree !!!
Thank you many times over, Steve and crew !
MARGY, hope your tests show you good n' ready for the CT surgery ! My prayers are with you, dear ♥ !
LOLLY, glad Jack's procedure is over and that the results are good ! I had my last one of those durned things a couple of years ago as I was told they don't do them after age 80---another dubious asset to this aging process ! ☺
SHAR, so distressed to hear about your fall. Hope your recovery is both rapid and complete !
SHIRLEY, hated to hear about Kathryn's car incident, but like others am so impressed that the perp left a note ! There really are some good folks in this ol' world !!!
I am so excited that you all are enjoying the new cam! Thanks Shirley for putting a pic on f b. I will see it when I get home. Going to put my nose in a book for a while!
LOLLY, I got plumb cornfused, didn't I ? Sometimes my ability to see into the future gets ahead of me---for I foresee good results for Jack ! ☺

Overheard at the NCTC nest:
Pssst! Pssst" Hedgie, listen. I'm not sure I like this growing up part. Wing flapping is hard work and I feel anxious when I look down. Don't think I like heights. Then there's this feeding ourselves job. Why can't we just go back home to our nest and let Mom and Dad take care of us like before?
Listen, Shamie. Quit complaining. Once we get some more flight hours and are six months old, we can really go out on the town. I heard there's a really cool place in Hancock called the Potomac River Edge Grill. Good food and cute eaglet chicks and eaglet studmuffins. Come on, let's go practice flying.
Doncha' just love it ? Thank you JUDIE, keep their little sibling chats coming our way !
That delete a few back was me--don't know why my posts are getting fouled up so often. There are either two of them or one disappears ????
Sure bet I will get absolutely nothing else done this afternoon! This view is just incredible, even though it's from a distance! A view we have never seen before! Thanks again Steve and crew!!
Oh, my gosh, I have so much to do, but can't tear myself away from the screen ! Tomorrow evening I'm flying to NJ for grandson Cooper's H.S. graduation. Will be there a week and not sure how much puter time I'll get, but I'll try !
Seth just called to tell me he and Julie found a starving white cat in the woods near the river where they were exercising Malcolm. They captured her and delivered her to a Cat Rescue House in our area. Hope she makes it !
Kathryn called and asked if I could pick up a prescription for her. Going to have to tear myself away for a bit.
She has spoken with the woman who damaged her car. She yelled at Kathryn because Kathryn does not want to have her car fixed at the place this woman chooses. Yikes! I think that is Kathryn's choice.
When I go to full screen, I can see glimpses of a white head still in the nest. Am waiting to see the parent fly-out and then I really do need to get up from this chair and do something!
PattiO, where are you?? We are reporting on our eagles!
Didn't see a parent fly out but am only seeing 2 dark "blobs" moving in the nest - no glimpses of a white head - so we may just have the 2 juvies in the nest. Parent could have flown out from the side that's away from the camera and, with all the leaves, I missed it. But the kids are definitely still in the nest.
I was able to get a message to Paula and Megan.... I think Paula is on the road still... that's about all I can do at the moment....also have to tear myself away...hope to see more Soaring and Fun later on...
Harrumph Shirley!! That woman left the scene of an accident, I think she is skating on thin ice to be particular about anything.....
One juvie flew out of the nest and has now landed back up on the branch above it.
Just saw a white head fly into the nest, and then right back out. So one juvie is in the nest and one is above. OK, I am walking away from the computer now. But I'll be back!! Woohoo!!
Have no idea what WWF is. I am glad I saw the photo on Shirleys FB wall. Such great news for all of us.
Poor little cat. Those things sadden me to no end because of all the ones who are not found in time. Humans can be despicable and wonderful. ok nuff of that. So great to see Hedgie and Shamrock.
Wowser! I have been watching and the fly ins give you chills. This is the cam we have always wanted as an extra to the nest cam. This is wonderful. Thanks NCTC staff and Live Eagle Cam for helping us get rid of our Withdrawals.
We are home and I am watching the cam. So very exciting to have this view, wish we had the other too. But, this is so fantastic.
THANKS TO STEVE AND CREW AT NCTC!
All went well for Jack. He is sitting here eating an apple and cheese at the moment. Doctor removed one polyp and we will know next week about the biopsy, but he figured it was precancerous, so Jack will probably have to go back in 5 years instead of 10.
Got the news from SHIRLEY on FB about the cam. THANK YOU SHIRLEY. Had to get to a computer to check the cam and sure enough it is there. THANK YOU STEVE and the wonderful crew at NCTC
Oh I did not ride my back to the dentist and this is why I am on here now as I drove and therefore gained some time before volunteering. RAIN RAIN RAIN so I decided to stay dry...
Hopping about and wingercizing...I like seeing this view of it. I used to worry about them falling out of the nest...this view it is very sure footed even hopping on a branch...
Went to the bank today, they gave me 2 biscuits for Nick. :)
Got my vanity top exchanged...I like Lowe's but this was a PIA. The Dept Mgr gave me 10% off.
Shirley, glad the gal left a note for Kathryn....I haven't read your further updates, but I wouldn't have expected her to sit and wait for someone to come to the vehicle, being it was at a mall.
Hurray for Blackwater - I must read to find out if they ever found the other 2 eggs. They are assuming that there was only 1 egg to hatch and really don't know where the other 2 are.
10:43 is when she posted it on her blog but that is the only pic also
AT 2:21 today she said she has pic of both of them
SHIRLEY Please we need to see you pic that you took of both at 221 must share with the world LOL ODD my cam stopped and had to start over again and my lap top is doing updates now
Judy, you can see the photo that Shirley took of both juvies on her FB, posted about 3 hours ago. Glad that you were able to "find" the nest. Earlier today, the sky was brighter so there was more contrast. Still, I could only find the nest when there were eagles in it b/c I could see them moving.
Glo, WWF stands for Words With Friends. Also stands for World Wrestling Federation but I don't think that's what Shirley (?) meant when she said she posted about the cam on WWF! =)
Paula, welcome home. Glad you were able to switch out the vanity top.
thanks for the info SANDI Paula go to her FB to see it I have the nest on the lap to also minimized screen but I have full screen on desktop arg typo Google sp check is all red LOL
ok who want to go trim a tree LOL just kidding I still an so stinking happy about the cam I see the little bird Hey I am sure they will return to sleep at sunset I hope anyway

Judy, saw the fly in and then out again from one parent. Looks like one juvie in the nest and the other on the branch above. I sure do love seeing them flying - whole new perspective!
I think it was See eagle inside nest I think LOL still make me chuckle I don't like typing on it so slow and if you go fast is typo because my fingers are two big for such a small lap top I think I will see if Angie wants the one I have and get a new one
PAULA On facebook I made a comment thanking him for the new view to Steve and asked if we could keep it HMM maybe we all should ask LOL so far he hasn't responded
PAULA how big is your lap top and is it easy to type like a desktop The laptop I have is a PIA big time keys are so close together Its a small one They didn't have the one I wanted when I went on vaca I just bought it anyway
Last time we were at the nest several years ago, Jack and I sat out there about this time of night on the campus waiting for the eagles to fly in, Just as we were about to give up, here they came, circled the tree and flew off. I feel like I am sitting there now.
still can't see movement I wonder if flew out the other side of nest or is that maybe what I saw in corner of eye earlier but no movement any one else see anything in nest or could be behind truck
Hooray! Just saw a bird in a tree!Wonder if it is Hedgie or Shammie??One must have gotten kicked out of the nest for trying to steal fish dinner. There's plenty of room for TWO!!
Had to get on line to check in with Frontier, print ticket, etc., so of course I had to come here, too !
So beautiful to see the lovely silhouette of one of our eagles against the evening sky !
Enjoyed reading all the excited comments of the afternoon and evening ! Hope some others will get the word, perhaps through FB that we're back in business at Sycamore Palace. Hip, hip hooray !
OK my imagination is going wild I see a face I see two eyes and a sort of mouth and can make out a face can you see it the nest area and below I took a snip

oh boy, forgetting about housecleaning now for a bit..
Wheeeee Haaaaah!
Posted a pic in the Momster's Album.
Hoping Lolly can see the spectacular view.
What an awesome view...like none we have had on live feed before....
I love Tom Selleck's voice
but that was a looooooong 27 seconds waiting for RVing to end and Eagle Watching to Begin !!
I had to switch to "a separate window" to get to it, but that's ok!
Keep wondering where everyone else is...eagle and human.
I always hoped to get this kind of view . . . the other half of the story.
Oh wow and double wow! Thank you Steve and all those who worked so diligently to bring us a cam. Your efforts are most sincerely appreciated.
See a juvie sitting high in the tree. Looking quite regal. Likely contemplating a visit to the river.
What a wonderful and exciting and happy season this has been.♥
on the live feed site:

and that juvie is in a much higher
branch than the one I saw one on
Saturday afternoon.....
moving up in the world :)
Oh, by the way, they are looking for Jimmy Hoffa again today.
But right now, this is the big news.
STRONGHUNTER - I did see the swoop of a bird beyond the tree. Unsure if it was a juvie or adult. Happened quickly.
Giggly feeling here!!
Oh, Happy Day !!! What a thrill to tune in and see one of our precious feathered friends atop a tree !!!
Thank you many times over, Steve and crew !

BRB, have to go back for more catching up.....
Well, this juvie chose this branch so we can all see him/her. It's the branch Belle and Lib are sitting on in our favorite picture, I do believe.
I am so excited that you all are enjoying the new cam! Thanks Shirley for putting a pic on f b. I will see it when I get home. Going to put my nose in a book for a while!
Well, maybe not that branch, now that I check.
Kay, jack is having fun right now. Will know results soon. We have the same doctor for this. We had two different preps!
Thanks, Kay.
You are welcome, Lolly. I was thrilled when you posted that the cam is up. Did not expect this to happen.
Some people choose to stay awake for this procedure, Lolly. I was ever so happy to sleep through it.
LOLLY, I got plumb cornfused, didn't I ? Sometimes my ability to see into the future gets ahead of me---for I foresee good results for Jack ! ☺

I get to do the colonoscopy more often because of the colitis. Thankful for the medical progress, but do not enjoy the procedure.
Flying!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And incoming!!!!
Two!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Oh my - to see the other juvie come flying in and then land next to his/her sibling!! What a magnificent sight!!
Come back...Ah, there you are again, you beautiful bird...Oh, ho and now you have company ! Hope JUDIE is listening in !
Sure bet I will get absolutely nothing else done this afternoon! This view is just incredible, even though it's from a distance! A view we have never seen before! Thanks again Steve and crew!!

Oh my, Kay. Glad they were able to rescue her.
I'm about wetting my pants here
LOL :)
Well, it is high time for me to get dressed for the day.
Yay on that precious rescue
by Julie and Seth, Kay....
I see my little patio-borne cats from last summer here once in awhile...a couple of black ones, AND their Momma
LOL, MARGY, I'm telepathing some Depends your way !
I'm happy about the rescue, too, SHIRLEY. We all love cats, but many family members are allergic to them so we admire the darlings from afar.
Did you see white tail feathers on that last landing or two ? I think we're watching Belle n' Shep !
Well, Shammy and Hedgie just went a-flying again. Lovely flyers, they are.
Didya see that smooth landing back on the branch?? I'm with ya and the just about wetting my pants thing, Margy! This is wonderful!!
Parent just landed in the nest and the juvie dropped down. Must be food time!
Now to the nest and back out.
The other juvie just flew into the nest from the far side of the tree. So both are in there as well as one parent, I think.
Good thing I don't work on the NCTC campus! If I could watch this live every day, I would be a most unproductive employee!!
I think you're right, SANDI, it's mealtime. Gives me the break I need for some ironing and packing prelim.
Love and Prayers for all in need !
♥♥♥♥♥♥♥

She has spoken with the woman who damaged her car. She yelled at Kathryn because Kathryn does not want to have her car fixed at the place this woman chooses. Yikes! I think that is Kathryn's choice.
Deliver a prescription, actually . . .

Probably eating now.
Can't wait til JO checks in
!! Happy Happy Joy Joy
and for everyone else to check in also !!
She told Kathryn that she wishes she had not left a note. Kathryn was already trying to find a video of the incident.
Left messages on WWF for Lori and Lynne, just in case they go there first.
Need to head out for a bit. BBL.
Wouldn't it be fantastic to be able to click between this cam and the one above the nest?
Right now, this one is fabulous, though.
One juvie flew out of the nest and has now landed back up on the branch above it.

We are home and I am watching the cam. So very exciting to have this view, wish we had the other too. But, this is so fantastic.

Got the news from SHIRLEY on FB about the cam. THANK YOU SHIRLEY.
Had to get to a computer to check the cam and sure enough it is there.
THANK YOU STEVE and the wonderful crew at NCTC
Juvie on branch poop shoot and another large bird flying around. second juvie not sure!!!
Going to take my laptop to the kitchen. Time to make a lemon pie for Jack for Father's Day Monday!
juvie turned around and is looking away from the camera. It was looking to the left before...

Really didn't think we would get another cam, since the eaglets had fledged.
Got Margy's text on the road....

I have no sound at all PAULA
I see the nest is at the very bottom of the view....Can't tell if anyone is home or not. Tree looks nice and full of leaves.
I put a thank you on facebook to Steve for the temp cam and I also asked if we could keep it that someone had mentioned that on the blog today
Probably a smaller bird, JudyE. I saw it twice.
Thanks for the confirmation on no sound.

BWO Osprey nest has a hatch!!
JudyE, who took the pic you posted on FB? I need to give them credit as I am reposting it.
Hurray for Blackwater - I must read to find out if they ever found the other 2 eggs. They are assuming that there was only 1 egg to hatch and really don't know where the other 2 are.
Paula - Shirley got the pic from the new cam and it has the 2 juvies up in the attic.
Also check out on FB the Live Eagle Cam page
Judy, I see that was Shirley's pic. The juvie was sitting on the Belle and Lib branch.
SHIRLEY took the pic and I posted it I think she has others will check the album
ONLY the one pic is in the album but I swear I read that she took another one
10:43 is when she posted it on her blog but that is the only pic also
AT 2:21 today she said she has pic of both of them
SHIRLEY Please we need to see you pic that you took of both at 221
must share with the world LOL ODD my cam stopped and had to start over again

I found the nest I looked at one of the pic I took when I was there to find where it was still no activity that i see I want to see them babies again
there is a little bird that keeps going in the tree
Judy, you can see the photo that Shirley took of both juvies on her FB, posted about 3 hours ago. Glad that you were able to "find" the nest. Earlier today, the sky was brighter so there was more contrast. Still, I could only find the nest when there were eagles in it b/c I could see them moving.
Glo, WWF stands for Words With Friends. Also stands for World Wrestling Federation but I don't think that's what Shirley (?) meant when she said she posted about the cam on WWF! =)
Paula, welcome home. Glad you were able to switch out the vanity top.
odd I had to plug lap top in The screen goes darker when not plugged in
Judy - The pic on Shirley's FB page is of the 2 juvies
I think the only time you are going to see any of the eagles is when they fly in and land on the "attic" branch.
Too many leaves to actually see in or on the nest.
thanks for the info SANDI Paula go to her FB to see it I have the nest on the lap to also minimized screen but I have full screen on desktop arg typo Google sp check is all red LOL
ok who want to go trim a tree LOL just kidding I still an so stinking happy about the cam I see the little bird Hey I am sure they will return to sleep at sunset I hope anyway

I SEE MOVEMENT IN THE SMALL OEPENING
Yes, there is an eagle eating in the nest...hard to see unless full screen
WOW SPELLING ON LAP TOP SUCKS
Juvie is eating right behind the stump.
I am laughing at what I tried to type lol
Looks better when you change it to 150% in IE vs full screen
I want to get a conncetion to my tv darn that would be cool
I thought maybe it had something to do with our eagle, JUDYE, LOL ;)
wow thanks Paula for the 150 tip I can see the nest better now and can do on desktop and blog at same time
I think it was See eagle inside nest I think LOL still make me chuckle I don't like typing on it so slow and if you go fast is typo because my fingers are two big for such a small lap top I think I will see if Angie wants the one I have and get a new one

I have google and did the 150 Paula
EVERYONE make sure you do your zoom to 150 like she said you can see the nest better with the eagle moving
love that profile on the LB
Would love to keep this cam as well.
Yes, it's pretty good viewing that way. It takes up 3/4 of my laptop screen, but I can still blog :)
Can I say it's nice to be home? Nick is happy to be home, too. He's one tired doggie!
Looks like there is no longer stealing from each other, but respect for the rightful claimant of Belle and Shep's fish delivery.
PAULA On facebook I made a comment thanking him for the new view to Steve and asked if we could keep it HMM maybe we all should ask LOL
so far he hasn't responded
I think you are right Paula with the food issue They really never did that much mantelling of the food like the past juvies I don't think anyway
JUVIE is still eating in nest
and the one is still posed up top on the LB
Sat and watched while eating dinner. Did not see a thing. Then came to the blog and you were seeing action. Mine had frozen up! Joke on me!
PAULA how big is your lap top and is it easy to type like a desktop The laptop I have is a PIA big time keys are so close together Its a small one They didn't have the one I wanted when I went on vaca I just bought it anyway
LOLLY so sorry for the freeze up Do you see the on in the nest you can see movement of eating
something flew out of the tree toward the cam low but didn't see think was small did you all see it
Judy, my laptop is about 15.5 " diagonal. It's an HP...I like the keyboard...it is full size, plus it has the keypad as well.
Last time we were at the nest several years ago, Jack and I sat out there about this time of night on the campus waiting for the eagles to fly in, Just as we were about to give up, here they came, circled the tree and flew off. I feel like I am sitting there now.
I think it's best to go to the store and try them out...it's all about the feel.
Going out back to enjoy the yard :)
The cam doesn't have a nite lite, according to OD. Wonder if it's one they resurrected.
Paula, it is so far from the nest. A night light would not do much good.
Thanks for the info on Laptop PAULA
