getting ready to do breakfast with my honey, bob evans...yum. heading out to camping world and then investigating a place called dave and busters for olivia's 12th birthday soon.....
Good morning! Going to hit the kitchen soon. Going to prepare some meatballs for dinner. We will leave here around 2 in order to pick up Jacob at school. He will be happy to be picked up early!! He hates the after school program and he has 3 years to go. Hang in there Jacob!!! ? Have a beautiful Iris open at the pond this morning. Have Iris scattered over the yard blooming but this one is purple and white...really pretty. My Iris do not do too well what with all the shade we have.
Where is our Hoda ? Maybe it is too early for her.
Just signing in for the day - Thanks Steve for the fresh new thread. Lori - congrats on the feather! Whoops I see you are sharing the feather today♥ Ten more days and all of your stress will be gone about the test. I so wish you well!
Hubby took Michael to Baltimore for check up - praying that all is well... Don't want any surprises.
Meatballs are in the freezer. The sauce is cooking and will shortly blend it and put it in the refrig to take. I cook the meatballs in the sauce. Yummy! Guess we will walk after that. Did not walk yesterday. Shame on us!
Whoops! There goes the timer. Time to take care of the sauce.
Did you know that wren babies do not make noise. Do not know if I shared this fact two years ago, but once again I have noticed. You would never know they are there even when mon or dad fly in with a wiggly worm. (Sort of like a flopping fish!} Parent are also so very careful when they fly into the nest. The look all around from a tree close by, then fly to the screen and again look all around and then feed those babies so fast. Wow!
Also, Laurel and Joey have identified the herons nesting in the neighbors yard. So close it is practically their yard. It is Yellow Crowned Night Herons. Looking forward to seeing then today.
Michael is finished his appointment - the dr is satisfied with his 'head' lol Well I mean he didn't need to make a future appointment - only if Mike feels the need for one. I guess that is his go ahead and try to make it to Haiti in June. I feel very good about his dr appointment.
Just got off the phone with the IRS once again same stupid recording Your refund is still being processed BLAH blah blah no date provided yet I just keep thinking am I one that is involved in a fraud one Fl has been big with fraud people filling before you do its been since the end of FEB I want to scream OK I feel better that I did LOL
Good afternoon eagle friends. Yesterday I had a great day birding only to get the news about Boston. So sad.
We saw over 40 different species of birds in Crawford County, our favorite place to bird. We were just pulling out onto the highway when we noticed a big bird near where we had just seen an osprey and lo and behold it was a mature eagle with a large rodent (I think bunny)in it's talons, soon to be met by an immature eagle, then another mature eagle. In the pursuit, eagle #1 dropped the prey and the others flew away. Eagle #1 went to the ground as if to guard the prey. It gave us several minutes to drive a little closer and take a few pictures before it too flew away sans bunny. I will try to post, even though we have seen eagle pictures here. We saw a personal record of 9 eagles for the day.
Lori - The news from Kate about Annie saddens me but at the same instant it gives me a sigh of relief that all pain and suffering is gone. Annie is at peace now ♥ God is good all the time.
My gosh Lynne, that was an awesome day of birding!
Lolly, I don't remember you mentioning the silent baby wrens last season...I had no idea! Boy the sure make up for being vocal when they mature! Glad Jack got a good report yesterday!
Great news about Michael, Jo! Hmm...maybe he should join us on the blog!
Uh, Judie...that WAS supposed to be a funny, your post earlier. The one about how you hoped no one asked about terrorists....
Lynne2, no, the comment was serious. I got lucky and no one asked about the Boston bombings. I know some, but not much, about terrorists groups. Usually have a terrorism expert address that topic in class.
Lori gets the feather. She needs it more than I today.
Jo, superkalifragilisticexpealidocious report on Michael. So happy for him and for everyone, not the least of which are the Haitians who will benefit from his visit.

They are now in that “awkward” stage with their large feet and wings growing and they are just learning how to maneuver around, not yet so gracefully. I received an email from the landLADY around noonish today and it just said that the landLORD will "stop by and discuss our inquiry." No time, no day, nothing else. He hasn't been her so far....
Judie I did check the lease again per your advice, just to make sure I hadn't forgotten some clause but there isn't anything there.
Home from work and a quick run down to see the eagles at the shopping center in St Pete and I saw two juvies on top of the tower No adults I put pic on FB also

Momma Jo, that is great news regarding Michael and not needing an appt. and that he gets to go to Haiti in June. What a miracle that is!!! Lori, I am sorry about Annie. My thoughts are with Katie and the family and friends. Nice words from Steve regarding Hedgie and Shamrock.
Having a bit of a difficult day today. Morning was terrible , many thoughts of mom and the day coming up. Remembering everyhting about that day. Then get to work and get called in the office to come down on us about my comment regarding my paycheck being low I made on FB. I did not think what I said was wrong in anyway. But got counseled on it regardless. I seriously need some time off and I plan on scheduling that tonight!!!! Every day in and out of here, never being sick and rarely using vacation has got the best of me!! Sorry for my griping, had to vent a bit.
Here is a 22 second long video of the two juvies at the shopping plaza cell phone tower They sure were verbal the entire time I was there sure wish I had a SD card in my camera only could get a couple of pic and this short video on the internal memory of camera

Good evening to all. Vacation ended this morning at 4::00AM. Had a good time. Got to play golf with my brother in Delaware and friends here in West Virginia. Finally got the tree leftovers from Derecho storm out of back yard. I see many things going on here and I hope everyone has been able to handle life and it's issues. We all should be thankful for a place like this to share with others that care and aren't afraid to express it. Sandi - Sorry if you didn't see my answer and sorry for answering late in the first place. We were in Seaford. I feel I brought my family some bad luck. My brother's car windshiels was broken by some one in his trailer park and my Dad's older cocker spaniel was attacked by a pit bull. He suffered a pretty deep bite on shoulder and many teeth marks on the lower part of his neck. Luckily my Dad finally kicked pit bull of Gibson before more damage was done. Owner comes over and asks my Dad if anything was wrong with his dog. What a question. I see Hedgie and Shamrock are growing nicely. Not sure but I think is around the time you let me join the Momsters and I'm grateful you all did. Hopefully one day things can settle down for me and I will be more active in participating. Take care all.
oh Jerry, things NEVER seem to slow down for anyone! Glad you had a nice vacation, and so sad about your dad's dog...hope the pit bull's owner made good on the vet bills.
I have many opinions on the pit bull issues....I'll refrain for now.
No appearance or other contact from the landlord as of yet....
OMG...it's bulk trash pickup in Manchester tomorrow and everyone had their stuff out. People in trucks and with trailers are driving around checking out and taking from peoples piles!!
this was on facebook and I wanted to share it It has a pencil drawing picture of a fence and nail and a man with hammer There once was a little boy who had a bad temper. His father gave him a bag of nails and told him that every time he lost his temper, he must hammer a nail into the fence. The first day the boy had driven 37 nails into the fence. Over the next few weeks as he learned to control his anger, the number of nails hammered daily, gradually dwindled down. He discovered it was easier to hold his temper than to drive those nails into the fence.
Finally the day came when the boy didn’t lose his temper at all. He told his father about it and the father suggested that the boy now pull out one nail for each day that he was able to hold his temper. The days passed and the young boy was finally able to tell his father that all the nails were gone.
The father took his son by the hand and led him to the fence. He said “you have done well, my son, but look at the holes in the fence. The fence will never be the same. When you say things in anger, they leave a scar just like this one.” You can put a knife in a man and draw it out. It won’t matter how many times you say I’m sorry, the wound is still there. Make sure you control your temper the next time you are tempted to say something you will regret later.
When WV Jerry posts, it is truly a Breath of Fresh Dadster Air.... Thanks Jerry, surely you are not responsible for the "bad luck" but things just happen in their own time like that.... Hope that your Dad's dog will be OK! Sounds like you have a nice time on your vacation
Thanks about my friend...her husband, is a long time forever friend of my brother in law who died a year ago... she had severe intestinal problems, could neither recover nor survive surgery.... her pain and illness...now is over
ok guys home many gallons of paint would it take to paint my house? inside living area almost 1400 Sq Ft ?? I can't remember from the last time I bought and painted it Sure does need a paint job may do when I am on vacation since there is not going to be a NON OPEN HOUSE :-(
No Lynne2...If I snore I don't know about it....and I don't grind my teeth either, and no one else here does it either ☺ ooops I live alone, not much of an answer
Just finished watching the tail end of Easy Yoga for Arthritis on Public TV channel, now of course I want to go do Yoga ! Hoda...I think of YOU on this...
I grind my teeth, dentist told me that years ago. Said I should get a guard for sleeping. Been waking up with all of my teeth hurting, which is, years ago, what sent me running to the dentist in a panic. Thinking it's time to finally get one. Just hoping for some recommendations....
Hoda might have some ideas, Lynne2...sounds like something you really need relief from... maybe something lacking in your diet, like a certain nutrient for example ??
Lynne, I think I grind my teeth too, but I don't wear a night guard.
Just got in from mowing the front yard, and trying to straighten up one of my leland cyprus. John and I cranked it back up with some of the strap thingys...not sure what they're called. Tree is straight, now have to secure it and refill in a lot and shore it up....and keep the straps on for awhile. It was all the way on the ground...but it was still alive.
Leland Cyprus...friends of mine planted about a dozen of them last week...looking for some privacy from the neighbors... hope yours recovers well, Paula...
Bed-time/Quiet time here for me..... lots of things of the mind and heart tonight
LYNNE I have a night guard for my lower teeth and have had one for a decade or more now. I change them every three years. They help my from grinding and have eased on a feeling of tightness in my head. I recommend them.
Lynne, I figure the straps will need to stay on for awhile...maybe a year. I have them attached to the 4 x 4 fence posts that are cemented in the ground. The tree needs some time to unbend as well.
I was cutting up a cedar tree that was downed at the beach (boy does that smell good!). It was totally on the ground and still growing! But it really had to go. Think I'll cut up some cedar rings for the closets...
a year for sure, Paula. Should be fine after that. WOW, I LOVE the smell of cedar...good idea to put some in the closets! Or drawers. Or in the car. Or on my desk...LOL!
Yes Jo major changes on FB today. It changed completely on iPhone and kicks me off several times!!!
Lynne I got my night guard from the dentist. They make a mild of your teeth and then send it to the lab. It has to fit perfectly otherwise it causes jaw problems. In Canada it costs $250 Canadian . Insurance covers the whole cost.
Well I'm calling it a day SED ♥AOYP See ya in the am ☼ at Sycamore Sunrise Cyber Cafe Bless this Nest and all ♀ ♥ ♂ whom watch it at Sycamore Palace Healing thoughts for those in need
"Be kinder than necessary, for everyone is fighting some kind of battle."
Well I put in for three days off April 27,28,29th. Hopefully that will be approved, and if so that gives me 5 days off in a row. Cross my fingers, stick a needle in my eye... LOL, wow I forgot about that saying!!
Storming here...thunder, rain...I see no lightning. Soup Kitchen was over-flowing, this evening. We had 73 guests, plus 7 helpers from another church. They did a fantastic job! MENU: BAKED BBQ CHICKEN BEAN SOUP CAJUN CORN DINNER ROLLS LEMON AND RASPBERRY TARTS DRINKS
Good Morning Eagle Pals.... We DID get a pretty good downpour overnight, think the Royal Nest and the Family are a wee bit soggy... Belle, I think it was Belle, just shook off and moved, can't tell if she is still on the nest or not
Good morning everyone. Rainy stormy kind of days ahead here in the mid section of the country. Rivers are high and rising. Eagles and all nesting birds will be very wet for a few days. Dex is good though and we are in except for those necessary quick trips out today. Prayers for all.
LORI...just read about Annie. Prayers for Kate and family. Annie is no longer in pain nor confused. God bless her soul.
JO....fantastic report about Michael. The doctors did an awesome job with him.
LYNNE....it has been two years since the wrens used the nest. I might not have mentioned their silence then. We just left the nest alone last year and so thrilled it is being used again.
Yellow Crowned Night Heron at Laurel's is a beautiful bird. OMG..it is very distinctive! Tried to get a picture but only had my phone. Will take my camera Saturday. Wish I had a really good camera.
Soccer game was very exciting. Joseph plays in the 12 and under league. The team they played has been undefeated and not tied in 3 years, an under 10 team that is a select team. They let them play up as they are so good and beat Joseph's team last time 5 to 1. Well, last night Joseph's team played great. They really outplayed them and in the last minutes tied them 2 - 2. Horrible thing happened in the game. Player on the other team tripped and fell...no one was near him. He broke his arm...a compound fracture! His scream was awful. 911 was called. So very very sad for a little boy.
Good morning - must have stormed here overnight but my ears didn't hear a thing but the deck is wet.
Judy - I just watched BABY BOOGIE! It's a wonder that little one didn't wiggle out of her diaper! Too cute. Tired me out just watching! lol
Paula - the fish are really biting for Larry and his friends. Will he bring some of it home for the grill?
I could tell Wanda was here last night and did her Face Plant! lol I read from the bottom up Great attendance for the SK - no mention about the clothes closet being emptied by 70+ people. Hope she kept the hangers for future use - or I can donate some to Wanda.
One large fish in the nest - untouched - and 2 sleeping eaglets at the 3 & 4 position.
Going over to try and tackle FB format Everyone's page is ok but my profile page is all crappy. At the right hand upper corner of the Home position is a check for either Most Recent or Top Stories. Checking most recent helped me see more comments...... MTBR
Tomorrow I will be sad - one of my trees in the back yard needs to be downed and tomorrow is the day. The birds and squirrels are going to hate me for having to do this as they won't understand a 'rotten' tree that still gets leaves.
I'll just need to get more feeders out to take their minds off of it! ♥
Lori, so sorry to hear of Annie's passing. Prayers, hugs, and condolences to Kate and the whole family.
Margy, very sorry to hear of the loss of your friend, too. ((HUGS)) and prayers!
Lynne2, prayers for your situation with the landlord. Please keep us posted!
Carolyn, (((HUGE HUGS!!))) from me, too! Sure hope your day improves rapidly!
WV Jerry, glad you had a nice vacation. So very sorry about your Dad's dog's traumatic experience! Hope he will be OK, and the pit bull's owner will pay for the vet bills. Prayers for Gibson!
Jo, fantastic report about Michael! God is good, for sure!
Lolly, I may have forgotten to mention--I'm happy about Jack's doctor report, and will continue prayers. Will wait with you for the next test!
Well, gotta go right now. Emma is begging for some attention from me. Will BBL. Have a terrific day, everyone.

Lynne1, wow what an exciting bird watching day!! 9 eagles in 1 day - that IS a successful outing!!

Prayers for Annie's family.RIP
Lynne keep us posted as to landlord's visit.
Jo very pleased for Michael's report
Love and Light to all
oh Jerry, things NEVER seem to slow down for anyone! Glad you had a nice vacation, and so sad about your dad's dog...hope the pit bull's owner made good on the vet bills.
I have many opinions on the pit bull issues....I'll refrain for now.
Prayers for Annie's family.RIP

this was on facebook and I wanted to share it It has a pencil drawing picture of a fence and nail and a man with hammer
There once was a little boy who had a bad temper.
It was in the 90's today Even Paul said Where did spring go Hello Summer
When WV Jerry posts, it is truly a Breath of Fresh Dadster Air....
Thanks Jerry, surely you are not responsible for the "bad luck" but things just happen in their own time like that....
Hope that your Dad's dog will be OK!
Sounds like you have a nice time on your vacation
JudyE..nice little story...thanks for sharing...
so true...what a message
Thanks about my friend...her husband, is a long time forever friend of my brother in law who died a year ago...

anyone here using and OTC night guard for teeth grinding/snoring?
LYNNE2 NOPE not me nor anyone I know anyway either
ok guys home many gallons of paint would it take to paint my house?
inside living area almost 1400 Sq Ft ?? I can't remember from the last time I bought and painted it Sure does need a paint job may do when I am on vacation since there is not going to be a NON OPEN HOUSE :-(
go to Lowe's ☺ and ask them to figure it up for you JudyE ☺
No Lynne2...If I snore I don't know about it....and I don't grind my teeth either, and no one else here does it either ☺
ooops I live alone, not much of an answer
Just finished watching the tail end of Easy Yoga for Arthritis on
Public TV channel, now of course I want to go do Yoga !
Hoda...I think of YOU on this...
Gotta love Google
"1 gallon of paint to cover about 350 square feet."
8 gals is what was suggested unless I want a second coat
I guess it's never too late, that's one of the messages...
I could really use some tune-ups!
I grind my teeth, dentist told me that years ago. Said I should get a guard for sleeping. Been waking up with all of my teeth hurting, which is, years ago, what sent me running to the dentist in a panic. Thinking it's time to finally get one. Just hoping for some recommendations....
Hoda might have some ideas, Lynne2...sounds like something you really need relief from...
maybe something lacking in your
diet, like a certain nutrient for example ??
maybe...hey H O D A!
I have teeth, molars, that are held together by fillings only and I'm afraid of breaking another tooth.
Leland Cyprus...friends of mine planted about a dozen of them last week...looking for some privacy
from the neighbors...
hope yours recovers well, Paula...
Bed-time/Quiet time here for me.....
lots of things of the mind
and heart tonight

your tree should be OK Paula,it may take some time though for it to root back in and take hold but the straps will do wonders.
LYNNE I have a night guard for my lower teeth and have had one for a decade or more now. I change them every three years. They help my from grinding and have eased on a feeling of tightness in my head. I recommend them.
Hoda, did you get yours from the dentist, or over the counter?
I didn't know you could get those over the counter.
line of rain/storms heading east, just entering Cumberland. Not sure if it will hold coming over the mountains...
Lori, so sorry about Annie. Prayers for Kate and her family.
Margy, so sorry on the loss of your friend.
Paula, Lynne, Hoda, Judy
Are you all having any problems over on FB..... I sure am....
No, mine seems OK, JO.
no issues here either watching the news and saw a email
have you all seen Delphia video of the elk browsing in her yard Awesome
Margy, heartfelt sympathy on the death of your friend Dottie. She is at peace.
I rebooted and no change - so I just said goodnight.
Trying to post from iPhone but having issues
no Jo, haven't encountered any problems on FB...
a year for sure, Paula.
Mold I hate auto correct!!!
OMG Hoda....it's about 400 to 700 here! And my really "good" dental insurance at the time wouldn't even pay half!
Yes Paula, there are several different kinds. Been researching. Seems the best are ones you boil and actually mold to your teeth.
I'll save you some, Lynne. :)
thanks Paula! I love the smell...I love taking blankies out of my cedar chest and wrapping up in them, they smell so good!
Lynne, How is Steve doing?
He's doing OK. Next, and hopefully LAST follow up appt in 3 weeks. He's doing too much, of course. I'm tired of arguing about it!
Well I'm calling it a day

Good morning eagle buds.
Listening to Wash-FM and thinking about Lori and Kate and Annie, condolences to the family and friends.
Hope everyone has a wonderful day.
Good Morning Early Eagle Buds!
SANDI, MARGY, JUDYE, JANET and all the rest to come.
SANDI, hope you have a better day with the Principal today. Sorry about that.
PAULA, good job on the cypress tree! That's a lot of work.
Thanks for all the nice messages about Annie. I will pass them along to Kate.
Hope everyone has a wonderful day!
Good morning,
Sorry I did not stop by to say good night, but was pretty tired and just went to sleep. Beautiful morning here with birds chirping outdoors.
Carolyn and Sandi,
Wishing both of you better days at work.
our birds looks so soaked and fogging under the nest
Adult just arrived at the back of the nest.
Grabbed the nestover at 12 and is picking at it at 10...back to chicks
Chicks are chirping for a bit. I see it's Shep.
Hedgie is over getting some bites.
Oh, you can see their tails better!
I see Shep is playing with the sticks at 5 now.
Kids are plotzed in the cup area...looks like H is half way on S
Good morning my eagle momsters and dadsters.
Shep took off from the 5. Kids are still in the bowl.
Hedgie up for a PS...doing a lot better on her feet.
parent back on the nest at the 12 spot...
I see it's Lazy Eagle O'Clock in S'town!
Good morning everyone. Rainy stormy kind of days ahead here in the mid section of the country. Rivers are high and rising. Eagles and all nesting birds will be very wet for a few days. Dex is good though and we are in except for those necessary quick trips out today. Prayers for all.
Good morning! Just now read back on the blog.
So very very sad for a little boy.
oh compound fracture, Lolly...that sounds painful...
means bones visible through the skin? lower or upper arm...
oh so sorry to hear of the pain
Lazy O'Clock, that's comical
Lynne2
Waht a beautiful shiny fish in the nest...
Wow, didn't see how or when it got there...
Hello More Eagle Pals
xo
Well, Joseph's team made a great showing with the Tie, Lolly ☺
Bravo !
I could tell Wanda was here last night and did her Face Plant! lol
I read from the bottom up Great attendance for the SK - no mention about the clothes closet being emptied by 70+ people. Hope she kept the hangers for future use - or I can donate some to Wanda.
One large fish in the nest - untouched - and 2 sleeping eaglets at the 3 & 4 position.
Going over to try and tackle FB format
Everyone's page is ok but my profile page is all crappy. At the right hand upper corner of the Home position is a check for either Most Recent or Top Stories. Checking most recent helped me see more comments...... MTBR
Margy - Dad brought new fish into the nest - Belle flew out so it's dad's turn.
Hi JO...thanks for the Fish Report...
WHAT is that giant sized thing under the talons now ???
Wow
Gone for a while....sister, Sharon, called and we TALKED!! Yes, near his wrist...bone through the skin. I am sure he had surgery last night. Poor boy!
Need to get busy with my day.
Have a good one!
Oh, saw the fish brought in but can not tell what is there now. Does not look appitizing! :)
DC eagle nest cam
This info may already been given
I am just now looking at the cam
Well - kudos to me! I fixed my FB page
I had done a Ctrl - to shrink something and when I did a Ctrl + my page came back to almost normal........
Enough so that I am no longer frustrated
Maybe I will have a good day after all
Tomorrow I will be sad - one of my trees in the back yard needs to be downed and tomorrow is the day.
The birds and squirrels are going to hate me for having to do this as they won't understand a 'rotten' tree that still gets leaves.
I'll just need to get more feeders out to take their minds off of it! ♥
BBL
Jo, will the takers down of the tree look for any nests before they begin? They can be relocated if they find one!
