I'm still in MD...so pretty today. I have a lot of gardening to catch up on and it's perfect weather! So glad to be home!!!! Will be leaving again for PA probably on Wednesday, or early Thursday.
I also thought that I saw a spot on Hedgie one time - I would guess that Hedgie is a female and Shamrock is a male. Especially if their size stays for Hedgie to be larger not because of the first hatched but gender.
That does make sense, Jo... about their sizes and such
I am hearing Robin still, Cardinal, Crow, and that "Virginia Virginia Virginia" chirping is a wren, though I can't say which wren. Also hear the Downy Woodpecker sometime making its "cheep" sound
Well, here I am stopping by on my lunch break and wouldn't you know I had e-mail notifications set to the old thread so I posted on the old thread too. LOL
Anyway, what I said was I read Lynne 2 and some of your comments, and hat yes, I will let you know when I will be going to see the nest! Would be great to be able to see and meet some of you if you are around :)
Talk to you soon. I have to get back to work now, just wanted to respond and wish you all a marvelous Monday!
Hey what is with collecting feathers? What happened to the sticky wax? :) It looks like everyone is pretty busy; only 28 comments on here today. I couldn't believe how big the two bobble heads are getting when I came in to school this am. They must be eating good. 44 days of school with children here for me this year!!!!! good afternoon all. it is sunny and 78 degrees with heavy pollen here!!!!!!!!
great news: well, i consider it great news. after weeks of monitoring, testing, tutoring, and observing, they have finally concluded that olivia indeed has an issue somewhere....adn are going to test for learning disabilities!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i hope, i pray we get some answers! all i want is to be able to help her to be successful in school and in life....
i have been so deeply frustrated with this...this has been going on since 4th grade......she is finishing 6th now.....
the testing will be before the en dof school on may 24.
other than that, same stuff diff day here. so much to do, and i am just not in the mode right now. need to start the grill and get dinner going, however.
Thanks for the video JudyE. I haven't been to Minnesota for beach day YET but I have stood beside Angel to get a photo back about 3 years or so ago when she came to Bald Eagle Days near me. I must add Beach Day in Wabasha to my Bucket list. Its about 5 hours or so away I think.
My eye appointment was just to get checked for the Age-related macular degeneration. All is good but I will go back in 3 months to be sure it stays that way.
Headed outside to look at the ISS in just a few! Got most of my school work finished for this evening.
Janet, you must feel so relieved to know that the school is getting a handle on what's going on with Olivia. Once the right accommodations are put in place to allow her to be successful in the classroom, she will feel so much better about herself. Don't forget to be the squeaky wheel if you must - YOU are Livvy's best advocate!
No luck tonight with the ISS. About an hour earlier than last night so it wasn't nearly as dark out, and there are some clouds, though stars were visible. Maybe tomorrow night when it passes by later again.
How long does it take the ISS to orbit the earth....
According to http://www.heavens-above.com/orbit.aspx?… it orbits the Earth 15.7166 times per day, which works out at an orbital period of 91.6 minutes. At an average height of 354 km, one orbit is 42,298 km and therefore the speed is 27,700 km/hr or 17,212 mph.

Jo, glad your eye exam went well. Hope your eyes are feeling more normal now. Hate those eyedrops!
Shirley, glad you've checked in! Good to hear that the dreaded procedure went well, and that your colitis has flown the coop!
Margy, good to see you here too. Hope you get your results back really soon! I HATE when they make you wait for weeks and weeks!
I'm happy to report that I got all my work done today, and sent back to the doctor's office. Now I can plan the rest of my week. I never know when they are sending work to me, or how much. I often get a boatload right before a holiday weekend, or when someone happens to be visiting from out of town. Have asked for a heads up from them, but they seem to forget. Oh, well. At least I'm getting work!!! Gotta stop complaining.
Golly, the winds are fierce here today! Supposed to last through the night, I think. Hope they stop by morning, 'cause the gardeners are supposed to do the yard tomorrow!
Janet, it's good that the school is going to test Olivia. Now maybe she will get just the right kind of help that she needs.

Woweeeee! We be home!! We be unloaded and unpacked!!! It really is a shame we have not been to Georgia more often, Why it is only a days drive away! 13 hours! The reason we have not gone in 7 years is because we were always trying to find a time for Laurel and the boys to go with us. We have seen Jane and Herbert but not the 4 girls and their families and we love them so much! We had a blast!!! And lots of hugging and loving!! We used to see them every year when Jack's dad lived in Judy's area. We all vacationed together at the beach.
Gotta tell you our hawk story. Yesterday some of us were sitting on Jane's screened in porch on the back of her house. It is on the second story level. The immediate back yard has only a couple of ornanental trees. The back of their lot is woods. Jane has lots of birds as she has lots of feeders. Well, we heard the doves startle and fly off and then I saw a large bird swoop by. It took a second for it to register as it happened so quickly. A little while later it happened again and the hawk landed in a tree in the neighbors back yard. I think it happened two more times after that. We got the binoculars and then he did not come...of course. But, from what we saw we think it was a Sharp Shinned Hawk. They go after smaller birds and Jane's backyard is a perfect hunting area.
Oh, Lolly, a hawk buzzed through my front yard the other day...my sons saw it...said what was that? I explained it was a hawk looking for lunch :) They thought it was pretty cool. Gotta go look up what kind it was...
OK DANA posted on FB. All the problems are of a solvable nature. Aric's apt flooded, Monte had problems with car keys and bloomer is in hospital yeast and stomack expanding...might have to spend the night.
Good late night you all... It truly was a beautiful day here in Nestville...very warm and to be in the 80s tomorrow. Just a taste of more to come later.
Time to get a garden in before the rains come and make it impossible to even walk in the garden, much less plow and plant!
Did some outside work at GGs today...she sat out on her porch as we did our work, which is a major accomplishment, seeing as how she hasn't been out since last Fall! She sat for nearly an hour then got sleepy. Took her inside and she ate a big chef Wanda salad, she then ate a small dish of Kale. Hope that gives her some vim and vigor
good night my friends...sending love and prayers~♥~
Going to be a beautiful say here with temps around 82...will feel like summer.
HODA, are you still bundled up?
SHIRLEY, glad your procedure went well and hope you learn the results very soon after talking with the doctor.
MARGY, I'm envious of your trip to the Swinging Bridge! I bet springtime is beautiful there.
I plan on doing a little gardening this morning while it is still cool, then studying and playing with Dalai today! We'll take a walk then play some fetch.
Good morning everyone. Back from coffee and dog treats. Rainy days ahead for the week. Its good the country needs the framlands to get this rain. I have some Kohls cash to spend. I think I will go look for a new spring top :-) HAGD everyone.
Good morning! Good to sleep in my own bed last night! I have been really achy lately and think it was the bed in Georgia. We shall see, do not want my back hurting.
Neighbor just came over. Lady across the street died yesterday morning. Bless her heart, she is in a much better place. She was given a few months to live three years ago. The last few years have been really rough. It is a blessing that she is no longer in pain.
See our eagles plotzed in the nest. They have really grown since I saw them last Friday.
Margy, it does seem as if we are like "ships passing in the night," doesn't it? Always so glad to read your posts, though. You sure saw some cool things on your Swinging Bridge adventure! Thanks for the advice about my cranky neck. I am going with the P.T., as you did, and am hoping it will work in the long run. I hate to think of having surgery. I always take the more conservative route FIRST. It's possible that in the distant future surgery might need to be an option, but being the optimistic type, and knowing the power that prayer has on our bodies, I'll wait, thank you. I'll pray for you, and you pray for me, and we'll both be OK, I am confident. Love you dearly!♥♥♥
Happy to report that the fierce winds have died down completely in our area; they had been up to 80 mph in some places closer to the mountains than we are. No raging gales for our gardeners today, I guess.
Prayers for Dana's Boomer--hope he feels better today! He's very much like Emma--I swear that pup would eat anything she can get into her mouth! I've always had to be so crazy vigilant with her that Ken swears I'm a little nuts! It does mean that it's easy to give her the allergy caps she's taking, though. Put them in a "pill pocket," and she thinks they're one of her best-ever dog treats!
Lori, have an enjoyable day, and please give Dalai an extra dog treat for me and Emma!
Glo, hope you find a nice new Spring top on your shopping expedition. Sounds like Dex is feeling better--give him a treat for me, too, bless his heart!
Well, going to get a late breakfast and spend some time with Emma. Will check back in a little later. HAGD, everyone! I LOVE us! P.S.--Lolly, your hawk story sounds very much like what happens around our roost, but we have Cooper's Hawks instead! Keeps our smaller birds on their toes, for sure! Thank God the hawks don't catch anything really often. They have to go farther afield for a meal, usually.
Time for me to start my day. Need to eat a bite and then do my walking. Did not eat much while gone, I was very good but was not active, just sat and talked, now up 2 pounds! Good grief!
Have a great day! 72 here and expecting the front and storms!

I have rturned from the eye dr and can't see too well with these dilated eyeballs.

Janet, glad they are testing Olivia.
Finished dinner - cup of coffee is brewing.
Janet - I am so relieved for you with your results concerning Olivia. I'll Pray the testing will show something very simple that can be corrected ♥
Just loving today's sunshine and warmth. Another great one for tomorrow but maybe some rain late evening.

Don't forget the ISS tonight here is a link of when it can be seen
ISS tracking dates and times
click on the day and it gives you a map of the path of it pretty cool
Headed outside to look at the ISS in just a few! Got most of my school work finished for this evening.
Janet, you must feel so relieved to know that the school is getting a handle on what's going on with Olivia. to cloudy here to see anything tonight any luck with you SANDI
didn't see it. Hmmm. Some clouds. Must not have been very high up.
No luck tonight with the ISS. About an hour earlier than last night so it wasn't nearly as dark out, and there are some clouds, though stars were visible. Maybe tomorrow night when it passes by later again.
LYNNE2 check the map it shows the path and the angle etc
yours would have been a sun reflection from it it says on the link
Might be too cloudy here for the ISS tonight, will have to wait and see.
Coming from the West here at 9:27pm
www.spaceweather.com
Click on flybys at the top of the page and put in your zipcode...gives time and direction for your area.
Spaceweather has a much later time for the ISS
JudyE, your link has two dates for today, the second one says the same time as mine.
Will try again at 9:27 when the sky is darker. Maybe we'll have better luck. But how can it pass over the same area twice in the same night?
that's weird. My Satellite Tracker has only the earlier time.
That site has 2 different times for every day!
ah, there are TWO times in my tracker as well! Very strange.....
That is why there are 2 times....ya learn something new everyday! I didn't know it would be visible twice in an evening.
I thought I had heard it was like 17 times a day that it orbits the earth, just never thought it would be visible 2x in one evening.
Thanks for that interesting bit of trivia Paula!! Well, I'm happy to go outside and look again in a half hour!!
Gonna hop in the tub so will say goodnight to everyone.
Shirley, if you check in tonight, just know that I've been thinking about you today. Hope everything went OK and the results were all positive!
See ya in the early AM!
Checking in, Sandi.

Very happy with the results SHIRLEY.
JANET keep us posted with OLIVIA.
MARGY What are the two tough subjects that JUDIE is teaching? I missed that one.
PAULA yes indeed MICHAEL and JOHN are awesome rockin's people!
LORI I am glad you have a few days at home...transitions take energy...
Rainy cold and snowy on the mountains here!!! I am back to bundled up and then some!
LOLLY and JACK should be getting home soon. I hope LOLLY checks in.
Glad you had a terrific trip LOLLY.
Was that perfect timing, Hoda?!!!!
I will go out to see the ISS but doubt it will be visible here as it is overcast and rather the mountains might get in the way od the SW skies.
Welcome home Lolly!
Hoda, sorry you are bundled today! We were in the 80's today....winter into summer here.
SED, love and hugs for all ♥
Coming on rather late this evening - another Hallmark had my attention and then I watched a basketball playoff.
Wishing all a peaceful night's rest
SED with AOYP ♥
Goodnight
Oh, Lolly, a hawk buzzed through my front yard the other day...my sons saw it...said what was that? I explained it was a hawk looking for lunch :) They thought it was pretty cool. Gotta go look up what kind it was...
Sharp Shinned Hawks dine on smaller birds. Thought that interesting.
Welcome home LOLLY
Thanks PAULA...enjoy 80 weather. I just hope we did not just finish our summer with the few warm days we had.
DANA had to take someone to the vet. she said bad luck on FB and now I am very worried. I hope the Labs are alright.
OK DANA posted on FB. All the problems are of a solvable nature. Aric's apt flooded, Monte had problems with car keys and bloomer is in hospital yeast and stomack expanding...might have to spend the night.
I am headed to bed. Hard to believe I have been up so late so many nights in a row!
Night all! Will be happy to peek in on our eagles in the morn.
It is good to be back! ((hugs))
SED!!!
Good night.
PRAYERS♥
Sounds like you had a good day WANDA. YUM for G G's food.
Good Tuesday morning my eagle friends!
Judy, the Edible Arrangement you sent to NCTC is beautiful - what a nice thing for you to do!

Paula, glad the roof got finished in one weekend!

Good morning eagle fans!
Hope everyone has a blessed day!
Chicks plotzed at the 3 spot.
Ha Ha one is sitting up falling asleep.
Good morning everyone. Back from coffee and dog treats. Rainy days ahead for the week. Its good the country needs the framlands to get this rain. I have some Kohls cash to spend. I think I will go look for a new spring top :-) HAGD everyone.
Good morning my eagle budlets. I have been watching these Miracle Gro babies. I cannot believe how big they are already.
Good morning - beautiful out there today
I was here earlier but then went to view the nest and check out FB
I need to get to the bank and post office. Not sure when that will be.
Hoping everyone has a great day
BBL
I see the peaglets are trying to get into Mom's Wingshad...and also wondering, is that new food at the 6-spot?
haven't beeen able to watch too much
Hello Eagle Pals !
They are following Belle's shadow. Hot and need the shade.
now that it is out of the shadows I guess it is a fish ??
Good Morning!
Margy, it does seem as if we are like "ships passing in the night,"
doesn't it?
Good morning, Andy!
Time for me to start my day. Need to eat a bite and then do my walking. Did not eat much while gone, I was very good but was not active, just sat and talked, now up 2 pounds! Good grief!
Have a great day! 72 here and expecting the front and storms!
WE HAVE A BRAND NEW THREAD....and a very nice note from STEVE.
