Thank you Steve for the fresh Friday thread. Enjoy your weekend.
Only creature I know more soaked than Belle is Isla. Isla is having a truly bad hair day. Last I looked, Hedgie and Shamrock were getting a shower but Belle was there with her wings stretched.
Quiet day today for me. Plan to forage for food but not much else.
Sandi, safe travels and may all of you enjoy time with your mother. Have a lovely 80th birthday celebration.
Shirley, I agree. So nice to sleep in on a rainy day. Glad Hunter got to the bus on time.
Good morning everyone. Dex and I are back from coffee and dog treats. Still cold and damp here. Grass is longer and greener than I have seen it since last June. Farmers should atleast be able to start with nice moisture in the ground in many places here in midwest. HAGD everyone. Out with the ants!!!!! Goodness thats crummy. Hoping to read some resolution to that.
Good norning! Just brought up the cam. At first all I could see was one eaglet. Then I saw the head moving of the second one. He nust have flugg on top of him. Too funny!
Need to go back and read the blog. Have enjoyed the morning, no appointments, no place to get to, just drink coffee and enjoy the morning.
Good Morning to all! Have been reading all comments of the morning - great coverage on the nest activities. On the Outdoor forum, Deb who is on vacation had always kept us up to date with her videos. I will miss that this week. Deb is from the Hancock forum.
Sandi - have a great B-day dinner for mom's 80th. You let her order anything her heart (stomach) desires. The company at the dinner sounds great!
Lori - I've been thinking good thoughts and praying for this upcoming test. I am so very proud of your decision! Judi - enjoy your quiet day - I love to sleep in on a rainy day but always need to get up and going to take the meds! Shirley - good to set rules down as to where Hunter is going and also to set time limits - Buy Hunter a watch! In today's world kids are limited as to what they do because of our wacky society.
Need to get on the phone with CVS - when they call the dr office for permission to refill they never get me the 90 day supply that the dr gives me on a written script. I dislike calling every 30 days for refills....
I am with you on that, Jo. I want a 3 month supply. Refilling every 30 days is a pain. Do you like CVS? Our insurance used them last year and we found then a pain in the neck. We told then not to do automatic refill as sometimes we were traveling, but they would do it anyway. Got so tired of their automated phone calls that prescriptions were ready. Changed insurance this year (another pain) but doing it by mail again and locally using Target. It has been much better.
*** Yes, Lolly there are times I have had problems with CVS - Once the # of tablets was incorrect. That really concerned me. Our home is very near to our CVS - I have so many prescriptions as does ED that we know the pharmacists pretty well and can approach them with these problems. This morning got the auto call 'ready for pick up' - but there should have been 2 different ones and only 1 was ready. Another trip! :(
SHIRLEY, on AI, no contestant this year from Burleson. Kelly Clarkson sang and she is from Burleson. That is what got me hooked on AI in the first place. Her mother was a teacher here in the Burleson ISD, though I did not know her. Kelly was always in the high school musicals.
I think everyone should know that one of the eaglets is buried in flugg. If you got on you would be worried. lol He is sleeping now, but a few minutes ago his head was moving and that is all you can see.
Nest Update 04/10/13: We updated our Eagle Cam Web Log with a new video of our eaglets practicing their flapping on the cam nest. Also note that we plan to start our Eaglet-Naming Contest around the end of the week.
That would be to LORI... splint on my right hand messes with typing
Very large fresh fish was just delivered I missed the actual delivery might have been Belle, but either way she has moved it to top o' the nest and is protecting it now
Lori - prayers still being said for Annie and for Kate. Thank goodness your dad's blood clot has been found - They should be able to get it dissolved - Big time prayers for him...... You take care, Lori.
2:45pm New fish just brought in by adult up at noon. Both eaglets still hanging out at the side at 4:00 - I think they smell fish cause there goes one up to adult.. lol
Yep Hedgie made it up to the fish! Can Shamrock be far behind?
Margy - that's the first I think that you mentioned the splint on your right hand. Was any surgery performed or is the splint there to give you some comfort so you don't use the wrist motion?
Oh how I do wish those toddlers would stay away from the nest edge. Parent is there but it sure makes me nervous.
Lori, will keep Annie and your Dad and you and Kate in my thoughts and prayers.
Margie, I think the idea is to stop using those thumps so much. So sorry for the pain and discomfort.
Quiet day turned adventurous. Two left-turn lanes -woman was supposed to turn left, I was supposed to turn left, she drove straight ahead. Nearly found my headlights in her front passenger seat. Glad I still have peripheral vision.
Food foraging was successful. Grilled salmon steak tonight with fresh asparagus.
So, need to pretend I'm Jo and put my feets up for a few.
Well, I have gone all through the tax stuff. Not happy about what I owe. Would like to whittle it down a bit, so I am letting it sit for a little while.
Lori, prayers for your Dad, also for Annie and Kate.
Didn't make it back here last night. Went to bed really early to get caught up on sleep.
Spent some time calling exterminators yesterday, and found a good one. It's Truly Nolen Exterminators, and they should be here momentarily. The guy said we have the worst indoor ant invasion he has EVER seen! They are some kind of fairly small red ants, and also some BIG carpenter ants. He says the two kinds get along, and often travel together....
...The pest guys have gotten here, and are going to start treating the house and yard. (Whatever they use is supposed to be OK for Emma.) We have ants ALL OVER the back yard, also in the front yard, in the attic, and in all the walls of the house. They are probably under the slab too. I think they are trying to take over all of California!
Oh, Andy...hope this does the trick to take care of all your little varmits!!
Prayers for Annie, Kate, and your dad, Lori. Friends mother had hip surgery in December and then she had a blood clot in her leg. Meds seem to be taking care of it.
I do not understand, Jo. I understand budget cuts, but do not understand why it would cost to let a group of momsters in to look at the nest.
Jack and I just made a nursery run, I am getting the fever!!!! :) So out I go to move some plants from the green house and have some ivy to plant! More fun! 77 here now.
Shep's been babysitting for quite some time... nice Dad, giving Mom the Friday Afternoon off
Holey Moley! Andrea....I think, there should be a Reality Show made of your terrible insect experiences there... Best Wishes for Truly Nolen to get the job done!
Lolly it always sounds great, your yard work at the Hawkwood Gardens Ranch! ☺
My co-workers are totally in love with the Royal Family, they do a lot of laughing through the day at the Peaglets' antics...and they are nuts about the Poop Shoots !!
Time for me to make a run to visit Lorraine..PT Staff brought her home Wednesday...home not ready for her, though Lorraine would like it to be... some engineering modifications need to be made, handrails, bars, and things like that... it's going to be awhile longer... not sure who is supposed to do the modifications...
Hopefully Medicare will honor certain "orders" for her safety...time will tell...
There may be a training exercise at NCTC - some viewers heard gun shots. Or maybe the deer getting a size down. Couldn't find anything on the NCTC web site.
Margy you mentioned 'banging nails'
So not sure - guess it could have been a nail gun! I hope.
I'm back again. The exterminators have left, and they have surely killed all the ants. They sprayed in the attic and the recessed lighting shelf, they sprayed & spread granules in both the back and front yards, they removed several switch plates and plug covers and squirted powder in the walls. Yikes, I hope we are going to be OK! I almost feel as if I need a hazmat suit! I am a bit worried about Emma. The guy said it might be wise to keep her off the back lawn for 4-5 days. The other guy said he did the same treatment on the front lawn and parkway, too! Now, where IS she supposed to go potty?! LYNNE2, any input? What experience have you had with the stuff exterminators use? I had to clean up ALL the bird seed and empty the feeders, per their advice. Oh--I forgot to mention that they sprayed the bottom of the outside house walls, too. Geesh! Ken, bless his heart, is vacuuming really well for me, and I am cleaning all the doorknobs the guys touched with their rubber gloves on. I will just be EXTREMELY happy after a week or so, if all of us are still OK! Sorry if I sound rather paranoid, but the release form they have you sign is kinda scary! Well, I'm SURE the ants must all be dead as doornails!
oh no Andy! Sounds like you are going to have to take Emma all the way out of the yard to potty elsewhere. I have no experience with this sort of thing but if they tell you to keep her off, then do so. The only other alternative is to bath her legs and feet thoroughly every time she goes out. What a nuisance!
I'm beginning to think we are going to end up seeing you all on an upcoming episode of Animal Plantets INFESTED!
Talked with Laurel. We have decided not to go to Denton this weekend. NASCAR has races at TX Motor Speedway and we do not want to work around the traffic. So, we are going to Denton Tuesday, taking a meal, picking up Jacob and going to his game Tuesday night. Yea!!!
We got our first electric bill today. OMG, it's SO HIGH. Need to do some investigation. One problem that we should have fixed right away and didn't was the temp of the hot water.
I have also emailed the landlord...
we have the coin washer and dryer in the room just outside our kitchen. The landlord pays water and sewage and therefore doesn't have washers in each apt. for "free". I assumed that as each tenant has to pay to use them, that the laundry room was on a separate electric meter and that the monies collected was to pay for the water and electric. There is also my landlord's garage/storage building out behind us. He is rarely ever there, but I was thinking the meter was out there for the garage and the laundry room.
However...when Steve called about the bill, they told him there are only TWO meters for this address. This can only mean that one of the tenants is paying for the electric to run the laundry. NOT FAIR!!! That's like paying twice!
JUDIE WAIT WAIT WAIT JUST ONE MINUTE did you just say you were in a car accident? Lanes indicated a left turn the one on the left side decided to go straight and you turned left and she got your headlights!!! WOW !!! How fast was she going? How strong was the impact? Is your neck alright? What about your pereferal vision???
I take it you had already gotten the groceries at this point or did you go on to groceries after the accident. I wished I had your phone number I would phone! ARE YOU ALRIGHT?
LORI sorry to hear about ANNIE and I wish her a Good Journey into The LIGHT. BLessed be may she be relieved of her physical limitations and suffering.
LORI so sorry to hear about your DAD'S blood clot. I hope they caught it in time and that no clots block anything else...NO FLIBIDIS PLEASE GOD FOR MR OLIVERI!.
In case anyone wants to ask what are my plans for the weekend:
SNOW
UGH UGH UGH!!!
Translate the above as being not fit for print what I am really thinking!!! LOL!!!
The shoots in the flower box now have two seed like things growing in each bulb. They have what looks like scales and they are green. I hope they do not freeze before they bloom so I can show you all the flowers...
Thanks LYNNE ALMOST is good!!! I have to go and reread...sometimes I miss things when I am anxious while reading. That would mean JUDIE is alright! THANK HEAVENS.
LYNNE I can see where you would get ALMOST from JUDIE'S post and I see why I thought there was an actual accident...The long and short of it is I AM GLAD JUDIE IS SAFE. Thank you LYNNE.
Oh I forgot to tell you British COlumbia is holding an election on the 14th of May. The Writ will Drop on Tuesday. Campaign offices opened last week. We get five weeks of campaigning is what the law allows. I volunteered to work as a receptionsit for the New Democratic Party offices for a few hours every weekend and I start tomorrow.
On Elections Day I also volunteered to be a Returning Officer to help people vote and check them out against the registeration lists. We have to show ID to vote...There are driver's licences and BC ID cards and also Prescription bottles are accepted as ID!
Lynne, totally not fair on the electric bill. That is just not right!!
OMG....dinner was so good tonight. I ate every bit of my steak, ate half of a baked potato and sprayed it with the liquid butter. No calories!! And had a great salad to go with it....but the wine and the steak....oh my!!!
So we went to lower the temp on the hot water heater and as I suspected the temp was set at at least 140, hard to read. We reset to just above 120, but just below 125. That should help.
Now, before doing so, I had to shut down the breaker. Hmmm...as I was reading the breaker box notations, I did in fact see that the washer and dryer are on OUR circuit.
I had already emailed the landlord because the bill was so high, asking about the washer and dryer, and I'll be interested to see what they have to say....
Speedreading sucks! I missed the part about Judie's almost wreck....got sidetracked with the asparagus and salmon menu... Oh Judie. Scary! I am so sorry for the scare, but so Grateful for the Miss! You were right on the ball, apparently, that's called Defensive Driving...a most important skill to have at ANY age!
Lynne2: not happy right along with you about the sky-high electric bill...yah, know about those high hot water heater temps...think mine is set too high also... Good Luck with resolution that problem!
Like the National Grilled Cheese Day idea...I haven't eaten yet and that might be on the menu, if I can hurry up and do that!
I welcome the cooler temperatures here...with no A/C in the car, well, what can I say? Can't get that situation checked out until next week sometime. Oh well, it's small potatoes in the larger scheme of things
Thank you Lynne2! Received.... also....oh, the Infant Moon was out tonight in the midst of the clouds....very welcome sight it was! Dinner time here, hate to eat this late, but, well, that's the way it goes.... xoxo ttfn xoxox ♥
Hoda, I am just fine. The light has one left turn only lane and the lane next to it is left turn/straight ahead lane. I was in the left turn/straight ahead and the woman was in the left turn only lane but went straight so when I turned left my car was headed into her passenger side. Just a close call.
Andy, glad the exterminators were there and truly hope the problem has been resolved.
Lynne2, hoping you can get a lower utility bill.
Margy, thanks for the Kestrel update. Had not checked since early afternoon and mom kestrel was not sharing.
Sounds like an excellent dinner Lolly. So glad you were able to splurge.
Enjoy the beach, Paula. Should be nice weather.
Shirley, Darth shares your sentiments. Just moments ago he expressed his "thoughts and feelings" about preparing taxes.
Good evening eagle buds got home a bit ago from Birthday dinner and small party for Jordyn family thing tomorrow is Princes party at 1230 going to that one to to help Angie I put in for the day off so I could
I will have to do taxes in the next coming couple of weeks. H&R Block here I come!!!I need to learn how to prepare for the next two pension cheques in December. What do I have to do...they should know.
Stopping in to say good night. My days have been so busy this week that I'm always too tired and sleepy to comment.
Didn't have Family Friday, Denise is photographing her cousins wedding and Brandon is a groomsman (rehearsal tonight) and Karla suggested we gather on Sunday, so, Sunday it is! Haven't seen Jayden for 2 weeks now and miss his sweet little voice and face! I chat with Denise and Karla every day on Facebook Chat and it doesn't seem like I haven't seen them for 2 weeks....I LOVE facebook:)
LORI, so sorry that you Dad has had more problems. Hope they get rid of that clot pronto! Prayers for his healing and for you, too, Lori~ Praying for Annie to pass quickly and peacefully.
Up early this morning as Kathryn and Hunter are preparing to head out to a fishing event in Luray for the weekend. They will be visiting Hunter's other grandparents--his dad's parents. Very nice that they remain on good terms with Kathryn.
Lynne, hope you get that electric bill straightened out. I would be most upset to have to pay for the washer and dryer use twice, and for everyone, it seems.
Good Morning Eagle Pals... I SEE you, Shirley... how neat, the Fishing Expedition in Luray for Hunter and Kathryn and the paternal grandparents.... Great Weather I think for this...as long as yesterday's rain did not muddy the waters too bad. Hope YOU have some nice things in store for yourself this week-end.
Good to hear from First Mate Wanda too! Sunday sounds like FUN... after a long busy welcome, sure that will be MOST welcome and heartwarming...
Yes, ME Too, want to see pictures of the Light House in Paradise...sounds like it could be a song ♪ ♫ kidn of like Cheeseburger in Paradise by Jimmy Buffett
The Morning Birdies are doing their wake up songs at NCTC, and the babies are grooming themselves a wee bit and waiting on another full day of Eagle Fun, don't see either of the parents...yet
Shirley, just mailed our tax checks yesterday. #$!?*&%
Judie, glad you were able to think fast in the car!! Scary!
Lori, prayers for your dad and for Annie and Kate and her family.
Lynne, no way I would pay to do my laundry PLUS pay the electric bill for the washer and dryer use for myself AND the upstairs apartment's usage!!! Imagine how much laundry the folks upstairs do with kids!!
Headed to Lowes today to buy daylilies and maybe coneflowers to plant the little tiny garden area next to mom's patio. Technically not her property but I'll ask for forgiveness rather than permission to plant.
Lori, sorry to sound so uninformed but I am. 1. How does someone get a blood clot that big - from groin to ankle??? 2. How does a person know s/he has a blood clot like that?? 3. How is it treated?? 4. What caused it and what prevents it from happening again??
SANDI, they ultrasounded it at the hospital and are treating it with Heparin and Coumadin. He can't walk except to go to the bathroom. He had a large red swelling on his lower leg that was painful and suspected it could be a blot clot. It could have been forming since he was in the hospital for his surgery.
Good morning all. Healing prayers for all in need, Peace and love to all who wait. Happy Birthday weekend wishes and dead ants. Dex and I are going for a nice ride up to find some waterfowl. Cool but atleast some sunshine. HAGD all.
GM eagle friends. Andy, surely after all the exterminators did to your house you won;t ever have a bug problem again....I hope
Lori, my DH had a blood clot nearly that large, so it can happen. My son has trouble with clots in his leg also. Both of them had had major surgery....
I'm off to a la-dee-da ladies style show and luncheon, hope I stay warm in my spring clothes and shoes lol.
Yes, Hunter's grandparents love to have company, and they have lots of extra bedroom space. Kathryn invited one of her friends and her daughter to join them. Of course, Vonnie and Denzel know there are four people coming and are fine with it.
The other child is very much a girly-girl. She has a pink fishing rod for the occasion. Kathryn has warned them about the mud at this location. Hope the girly-girl won't mind the mud. Probably not!
So much mud one year that Kathryn lost her boot in it. Had to go to Walmart and purchase new shoes and pants that day. Now she takes extra clothes.
Does Hunter approve of this girl? Not really, but her mom and Kathryn enjoy each other.
Trying to picture what could happen as a result of the lighthouse in Paula's yard. I believe that a lighthouse is supposed to warn ships away, not attract them, so we probably do not have to worry about a watercraft ending up in the yard.
But my knowledge of ships and seafaring is limited.
Headed down for food. I had purchased a particularly good box of cereal, but, alas, Hunter liked it, and it disappeared quickly. So I just might fix bacon and eggs.
Good late morning - Our nest looks as though it has gotten a new flooring.
I hope Hunter catches the big one.
Happy birthday wishes to your Mom, Sandi and to your granddaughter, Judy Princess Jordyn
Good to hear from you Wanda and hope your Sun get together is wonderful.
Shirley you will need to hide your special box of cereal next time.
Lori - prayers for you and your mom to get yourselves through this latest set back with Dad's blood clot. I have faith they will dissolve it with meds.
Dana - hope you need all that duck food come Monday. You are going to be busy with a lot of excited kids and newly hatched quackers!
Judie - drive safely so Hoda won't worry for you.
Margy - take care of those hands!
Grannyblt have fun but do stay warm.
Lynne - I sure hope May 1 comes soon and your landlord upholds his intentions of you getting some new upstairs neighbors. The washer/dryer for both units should be separate and on the landlord's billing OR you need a drop in your rent rate.
Paula your Paradise this morning sounds marvelous with all your sightings. Since Larry is a boat person - does he need that beer to get onto that plane? lol Just kidding. I loved your pic of the lighthouse.
So sorry, I missed Jordyn's birthday. Happy Birthday Princess Jordyn. Have a special special day.
Darth and I are headed to a first in a few minutes. I have two lady rowers in my class and their big Invitational is today against Navy. Never been to a rowing event. It's on the Potomac.
Good Afternoon Eagle Buds. First Sat. I got to stay home for awhile!!!! Taking a break from plant work outside.Coworker got me a lily. It's starting to bloom, so thought I'd put it in a pot to enjoy on deck for now.Lily of the valley and a columbine are starting to open and some azaleas have buds! The more I start fixing, the more little projects I see that could be done. Hope Sandi has a wonderful weekend! Margy, hope your hands feel better and you can get a good fix! I have tendonitis, but doesn't bother me all the time. See that 'puter solitaire right hand is a little slower on the mouse moves!!!It's called senile citizenship! ☺ Have a good evening~~~BBL~~~~~~
Dex and I had a great time out with our friend. This is the closest I have ever been to a nesting eagle. We stayed in the car and photographed out the window. She has chosen a nest way out int he country but pretty close to a country road. I hope she stays secluded from the public for many years. Thanks has to go to Stan Bousson for telling me about this nest at Camera Club last Thurs night. I know he took National Geographic out there Fri morn. So maybe more photos will show up especially when the young hatch and well their cameras are huge and he will have us about sitting in the nest with the eaglets :-) Today's nesting eagle
Good Evening Eagle buds just got home from the day with family they are still partying with a few kids and this is Sat night movie night they sit out side and Rick has a big screen in the back yard the kids love it too What a nice day it was with the princesses OH MY I took almost 300 pictures each of the kiddos had their nails done and hair and glitter make up and glitter body They are the sparklest kids in the world probably could see them shine clear up there I used my sparkle setting on the camera turned out good also Having a hard time typing Dont' know what but my right wrist hurts like HE-- Put a brace on it I couldn't even turn the key in the ignition Trying my hardest to figure what I did and can't figure it out maybe about a hour ago it started hurting Takin some Ibuprofen hope it will make it go away Slo day on the blog I thought being gone all day I would come home to a blown up blog but I was wrong Got a couple of pic of the osprey in the nest where Angie lives stopped and she complained to me about taking her picture Same nest that I got a video of last year when she was nesting she doesn't like visitor at all was on my way to see the eagle on the way home that are in Angie hood but got sort of lost and just came home I tired going the back way and got turned around so figure just come on home
LORI hope you dad is doing better and will be keeping Kate and her family in my thoughts during his sad time hope her transition is a peaceful one
Ok wrist can't take any more will read and try to come back once the pill kick in
Good evening! Spent all afternoon in the yard, gorgeous day!!! Sat on the back patio for a glass of wine, then we ate dinner on the patio. Took a lot of hanging baskets and potted plants out of the greenhouse, so.....I DECLARE IT SPRING!!!!!! FOR SURE!!!!
Right now I am fed up with all the oak "blossoms" and pollen but we are not near over with it all yet.
Put up a new bird feeder that a niece gave to us while in Georgia.
Angie went all out on this party making wands out of rice crispy treats and a pretzel stick dipped in chocolate and tea cups out of marshmallows, with a half gummy lifesaver as the handle and a cookie as the saucer and melted chocolate on top with sprinkles I put a pic on facebook too just now
Jo, I was planning to bring that box of cereal up to my room along with the milk I had bought for myself. But I did not get it up here fast enough. I had bought something I thought Hunter would like, but he has always had a preference for the same cereal I like.
When he was little, he and I would enjoy our cereal together.
Went out looking for the aurora. The sky is crystal clear and the stars are beautiful. I did see Orion, but no aurora.
I got to see it every night all summer in 1963 when I worked at Silver Bay on the shore of Lake George in New York State, so I have gotten to enjoy it many times.
Silver Bay is the only place I actually slept under the stars. We camped on an island in the middle of the lake, and I got wet when the tour boat went by, so I had to crawl into my sleeping bag and remove my pants so my friends could hang them by the fire to dry.
We always have lots of oak pollen here, too. Especially in our former house, which was surrounded by oak trees. Cars, porches, walks--everything turned green in the spring when the oaks were blooming.
SHIRLEY You know Judie is gonna have a field day with your good view of the Aurora after you took off your pants LOL that is where my mind went also LOL
Party sounds great, JudyE... sorry about your hand...very mysterious....maybe tennis elbow? But that hurts all the way to the elbow...
Shirley: Great report on your times at Silver Lake....
I saw the Moon, Jupiter, Orion...and some pinkishness in the sky ...not sure if that was the Auroras or not....too many town lights to really get a good view
It's a year today since my brother in law died.... visited his grave with a friend, found that someone, a former student I believe, had left a letter in an envelope, along with one golfing glove, and three golf balls....It was very touching....I opened and read the letter aloud, and need to tell his children about it, will scan it Tuesday at work and send it to them....
I wonder how many are watching the race My wrist is some better since I took meds and have the brace on it. Sore to touch push I should say I have had issues in the past that is why I have braces I always blamed puter but I haven't been on it today was at the party I was trying to figure out maybe when I was on the floor and I used my hand on the floor to get up may have bent it back that is the only thing I can think of

Off to find a little more coffee. BBL
Good Morning "Over Here."
Oh, a wonderful day to [have stayed home I wish] to
stay home!
Thanks for the New Thread, Steve.
Thanks for the Call over alert, Judie
And Happy Traveling to any and all, especially Sandi and family later on ....
for her Mother's 80th - wow,
eight decades on the planet !

must get back to making dough

Good Morning everyone!
Thanks, STEVE, for the fresh thread...and JUDIE for the call over.

Good Morning More Eagle Pals

Mid-morning snack time for the eaglets. They are eating bigger chunks now.
Pouring again here. Yikes !
Good Morning Eagle budlets
once again I find a new thread as I look in on the little ones
THANKS FOR THE NEW THREAD STEVE
AND POOF EAGLE
lOOKS LIKE ONE OF THE EAGLETS IS COMPLETELY COVERED IN FLUGG
BBILW
I see that you see that too, Judy. It is just so funny to see just his little head moving around.
Just got email for Friends of NCTC
Friends,
The April 22nd Film Screening for "Ends of the Earth" has been cancelled due to budget constraints
Any chance for our group to have a nest visit is out of the question as far as I can tell!

Jo, has anyone asked Steve if you could have a nest visit. Surely he woukd allow the momsters to have a visit in May or June.
I think everyone should know that one of the eaglets is buried in flugg. If you got on you would be worried. lol He is sleeping now, but a few minutes ago his head was moving and that is all you can see.
Time for me to eat some late breakfast and then walk. Offically down 15 pounds now and I even ate some of my sopapilla cheesecake. :)
Have a great day!
**Yes, Lolly. Paula asked but the answer was 'No" due to budget cuts.

Blackwater - Lisa's update
Nest Update 04/10/13:
We updated our Eagle Cam Web Log with a new video of our eaglets practicing their flapping on the cam nest. Also note that we plan to start our Eaglet-Naming Contest around the end of the week.
Good afternoon everyone...checking in asking for prayers.
Kate's sister Annie is very near the end and my Dad went into the hospital today for what the doc says is a huge blood clot in his leg.
Leaving now for the hospital. Thanks! Momster prayers are the best. I LOVE US!
Loir
So sorry for the sadness
and your father's illness...
Prayers for Comfort and Healing
That would be to LORI...
splint on my right hand messes with typing
Very large fresh fish was just
delivered
I missed the actual delivery
might have been Belle, but
either way
she has moved it to top o' the nest
and is protecting it now
And now the babies will start ooching towards the chow
Lori - prayers still being said for Annie and for Kate.
Thank goodness your dad's blood clot has been found - They should be able to get it dissolved - Big time prayers for him...... You take care, Lori.
2:45pm New fish just brought in by adult up at noon. Both eaglets still hanging out at the side at 4:00 -
I think they smell fish cause there goes one up to adult.. lol
Yep Hedgie made it up to the fish!
Can Shamrock be far behind?
Margy - that's the first I think that you mentioned the splint on your right hand. Was any surgery performed or is the splint there to give you some comfort so you don't use the wrist motion?
Standing on my head - Poop Shoot lol
Hi JO
It is a soft splint on right, more like a little wrap....
I was doing some stapling a bunch of typing so went for a little relief
☺ HI !!
won't know for sure
about all the possible options
until May 1...then will have
to decide WHAT and WHEN
Here's praying you make the right decision and get rid of all the pain and discomfort. Don't want you going on disability at your young age!
BBL
Thanks Jo...
BBL here too...time to start watching the last hour
of workday disappear....
xoxox Later, Pals.....
both babies getting nicely
fed
Prayers for your dad, and for Annie and Kate and family, Lori.
BBL
OH...I see Shep...I think he WAS the food gatherer and feeder
also heard, what..banging nails???
asparagus! two times I read of that in two days here !!
I give that Two Thumps Up !!
☺
Okay,
bye.....
Hi Lynne2 also: sure hope today
was better....yes ???
Well, I do know who Kelly Clarkson is, Lolly. Just did not know she was from Burleson. Impressive.
waiting on another beauteous egg
at the Kestrel cam Judie
Glad you are watching also ☺
Well, I have gone all through the tax stuff. Not happy about what I owe. Would like to whittle it down a bit, so I am letting it sit for a little while.
Hi all! Need to get packed to hit the road but wanted to check the box to get email comments.
Lori, prayers for Annie and Kate and also for your dad!
Later!!
It's better Margy. For the most part...especially after I went to pick up the MAIL at lunchtime!
Hi, Gang,
Lori, prayers for your Dad, also for Annie and Kate.
(Whatever they use is supposed to be OK for Emma.)
We have ants ALL OVER the back yard, also in the front yard, in the attic, and in all the walls of the house. They are probably under the slab too. I think they are trying to take over all of California!
Well, gotta run--BBL.
Shep's been babysitting for quite
some time...
nice Dad, giving Mom the Friday Afternoon off
Holey Moley! Andrea....I think,
there should be a Reality Show
made of your terrible insect experiences there...
Best Wishes for Truly Nolen to
get the job done!
I think Shep is unearthing some
chow...
those baby eagle talons seem
larger than their parents' talons are right about now !
oboy Shep is feeding the chicks!
Summer has backed up a bit
and we have Spring again for a few days ☺
Lolly
it always sounds great, your
yard work at the Hawkwood Gardens Ranch! ☺
My co-workers are totally in love
with the Royal Family, they do a
lot of laughing through the day
at the Peaglets' antics...and they are nuts about the Poop Shoots !!
Hedgie is quite mannerly when
it is Shamrock's turn to eat....
My weekend is here! My weekend is here!!
See You there earlier, Lynne2!
and a Smile to go with it ☺
Hope you get some nice week-end time at the Rustic Cabinet and
the wild places around you also
and NOW Hedgie is ready to eat!
Shep just puts it out there and first come, first serve !
Hog Diggity Dog, Lynne2!!
I hope it feels like it lasts forever !!!
Time for me to make a run to
visit Lorraine..PT Staff brought her home Wednesday...home not ready for her, though Lorraine would like it to be...
some engineering modifications
need to be made, handrails,
bars, and things like that...
it's going to be awhile longer...
not sure who is supposed to
do the modifications...
Hopefully Medicare will honor
certain "orders" for her safety...time will tell...
So, I turn the Royal Family to all the rest of you Momsters and Dadsters
Seems like WV Jerry and family will have nice weather
Bon Voyage for Larry and his pals when it's time for them to wend
their way to the Florida Keys...
Oh Joy...!
ttfn xoxox ♥
Oh Wheeeeee !
There are TWO big eggs at the Kestrel cam now...
I thought Mom was fussing and laying another !
And she has been eating, Often !!
Heading to the beach, catch ya'll later!
Andy - sounds like you home is on a very large Ant Hill! Happy they can treat it with something not harmful to Emma.
Have a great weekend Paula! I sure am getting the fever to go over the bay bridge!
There may be a training exercise at NCTC - some viewers heard gun shots.
Or maybe the deer getting a size down. Couldn't find anything on the NCTC web site.
Margy you mentioned 'banging nails'
So not sure - guess it could have been
a nail gun! I hope.
BBL
Hi, Gang,
I'm back again. Geesh! Ken, bless his heart,
is vacuuming really well for me, and I am cleaning all the doorknobs the guys touched with their rubber gloves on.
In case you haven't heard...it's National Grilled Cheese Day!
Guess what we're having for supper?!
Chowing down going on in the nest.
Worked in the yard, such a beautiful day. Maybe should hae said I did ranch work. lol
Then we sat in the gazebo and enjoyed the evening. Breaking the diet tonight and having a grilled steak and wine tonight,
Shep just arrived with flugg. So that is Belle feeding the peaglets.
Belle is eating, Shep is nestorating, and the two fat babies are too full to move....
Talked with Laurel. We have decided not to go to Denton this weekend. NASCAR has races at TX Motor Speedway and we do not want to work around the traffic. So, we are going to Denton Tuesday, taking a meal, picking up Jacob and going to his game Tuesday night. Yea!!!
Poop shoot, Shamrock, I think. Shep has poofed.
LOL Just watched a poop shoot and it actually looked like he was positioning himself to hit the tree. He did!!!
I love when the babies sit on their duffs with feet sticking out in front!
Howdy, Lynne! What are your plans for the weekend. I am going to be digging in the dirt!!
Poof Belle.
Yep that was impressive wasn't it Lolly! Would be hilarious to have recorded!
Be back...
Yes, would have been great to have recored the poop shoot and add an amusing commentary. :)
Think I heard Belle sneeze!!
OK, I'm back.
Not sure what weekend plans are at the moment. Outside time doing SOMETHING, at least at some point.
I hope they caught it in time and that no clots block anything else...NO FLIBIDIS PLEASE GOD FOR MR OLIVERI!.
no Hoda, I think Judie was ALMOST in an accident.
UGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!
Not good on high electric bill LYNNE. I hope you can get a break somehow from the landlord...maybe lower the rent? Hard to tell what would be fair.
DING DONG THE WITCH IS DEAD!!!
Topping the charts in the UK!!!
OMG The BBC is playing it!!!
I hope NOT on Wednesday! That is the day of the Thatcher funeral!
ONLY in the UK!!!
It will make for interesting times.
The Elections are for The PROVINCIAL GOVERNEMENT.
Hoda, you are something else with all your volunteering, I am proud to know you!! Yes, it should be very interesting.
Sorry I am so tempted!!!
For All Those Who Suffered
Yes I am BAD!!!
Yes, you are BAD, Hoda. I did enjoy that though!!!
R O F L M B O...Hoda, you is BAD!
Crap...
That is totally totally unfair, Lynne. Time to register a complaint!! Would be interesting to compair the your bill with the one upstairs.
I do believe that is supposed to be "compare". lol
I had already emailed the landlord because the bill was so high, asking about the washer and dryer, and I'll be interested to see what they have to say....
Just want SIMPLICITY. Good grief....
Speedreading sucks!
I missed the part about Judie's almost wreck....got sidetracked with the asparagus and salmon
menu...
Oh Judie. Scary! I am so sorry for the scare, but so Grateful for the Miss! You were right on the ball, apparently, that's called Defensive Driving...a most
important skill to have at ANY age!
Lynne2: not happy right along with you about the sky-high electric bill...yah, know about those high hot water heater temps...think mine is set too high also...
Good Luck with resolution that problem!
Andrea: sounds very thorough....best wishes for totally successful outcomes !!!
Like the National Grilled Cheese Day idea...I haven't eaten yet and that might be on the menu, if I can hurry up and do that!
I welcome the cooler temperatures here...with no A/C in the car, well, what can I say?
Can't get that situation checked out until next week sometime.
Oh well, it's small potatoes in the
larger scheme of things
aurora alert for tomorrow!!! see FB page for map! and Margy, check your email!
Thank you Lynne2!
Received....
also....oh, the Infant Moon was out tonight in the midst of the clouds....very welcome sight it was!
Dinner time here, hate to eat this late, but, well, that's the way it goes....
xoxo ttfn xoxox ♥
last night I had a chocolate Klondike bar for dinner, tonight it is Grilled Cheese and
Butternut Squash Soup ☺
Evening all
Aeeived here in good time...went thru some rain near home...and some right here by the shore...still some lightening around.
My lighthouse looks great at night..really puts out some light...got to see the baby moon just before it set
Good Travel Time, Paula....
any one besides you and Nick on this trip?
Who has Pepper while Larry travels?
Time to get some sleep.
The sandperson is almost finished packing his dream bag and will be on the way soon.
Restful sleep for all.
Night-night, Judie...
I can visualize all that traffic stuff, things can get very
confusing.. "Good On You " (Hoda talk) on being on your toes!
xo
Margy, just Nick and I...bro called about 230pm and said he wasn't coming...probably binging...better there than here.
Larry's sister will take care of Pepper
Oh my, glad you are okay, Judie.
Glad the ants are dead, Andy.
Enjoy your lighthouse, Paula.
Finished taxes. Let it sit for awhile today. Have to think things over before I send it on its way. Will probably do that tomorrow.
Will see you tomorrow. SED.
I would try to read back over all the recent comments but my eyes are so very tired and my head is nodding.
Hope all is well
I love us
Good Night to all............ ♥
Thoughts and opinions about taxes. Love that, Judie.
Judie, glad you avoided a mishap
Andy, those ants better be dead! Can't believe all your bug luck.
Oh klondikes for dinner are good!
"Copy that" Paula on your answers...Happy Birding....!
Jo, sorry, I magpie-ed up the comments there for a bit

Thank you JUDIE very glad you are well.
I will have to do taxes in the next coming couple of weeks. H&R Block here I come!!!I need to learn how to prepare for the next two pension cheques in December. What do I have to do...they should know.
Heading to bed. I really pooped out tonight. Jack is tired too, surprisingly.
Night all! SED!!
I think a night time picture of the lighthouse in Paradice is in order!!! Right, Momsters?
I second that request LOLLY. NIGHT TIME PICTURE OF THE LIGHT HOUSE PAULA
Goodnight.
PRAYERS for ANNIE and LORI'S DAD.
PRAYERS♥
Stopping in to say good night.
My days have been so busy this week that I'm always too tired and sleepy to comment.
Didn't have Family Friday, Denise is photographing her cousins wedding and Brandon is a groomsman (rehearsal tonight) and Karla suggested we gather on Sunday, so, Sunday it is! Haven't seen Jayden for 2 weeks now and miss his sweet little voice and face! I chat with Denise and Karla every day on Facebook Chat and it doesn't seem like I haven't seen them for 2 weeks....I LOVE facebook:)
Good night, sending love and prayers to all~♥~
LORI, so sorry that you Dad has had more problems. Hope they get rid of that clot pronto! Prayers for his healing and for you, too, Lori~
Praying for Annie to pass quickly and peacefully.
Good morning,
Thinking of Annie, Lori's dad, Andy, Margy--hope you have less pain, and others in need of a few good thoughts this morning.
Would love to see a night time picture of Paula's lighthouse. Did not realize it was a working lighthouse. How neat.
Have fun with the taxes, Hoda. Mine are sitting in the computer waiting to be sent off. Will likely do that today, as the deadline is nigh.
I SEE you, Shirley...
how neat, the Fishing Expedition in Luray for Hunter and Kathryn and
the paternal grandparents....
Great Weather I think for this...as long as yesterday's rain
did not muddy the waters too bad.
Hope YOU have some nice things in store for yourself this week-end.

Good to hear from First Mate Wanda too! Sunday sounds like FUN...

Good Morning Sandi!
Best Wishes for a Wonderful Birthday Week-end for your Mother, and all the family ♥
Margy, LOVE LOVE Klondike bars!
Make it a great day!
Good morning everyone. Thanks for the prayers and good thoughts.
I haven't heard yet about Annie this morning, but Dad is resting in his hospital bed with a blood clot from his groin to his ankle!
PAULA, have a fabulous time at the beach, you lucky girl!
SANDI, enjoy your gardening today, and the special time with your family.
JUDYE, so glad you are safe and there was no wreck!
LYNNE2, investigate that bill! Sounds ridiculous.
SHIRlEY, enjoy your quiet time this weekend.
MARGY, hope your pain leaves and you get to feeling better.
LOLLY, enjoy your weekend at home. I wouldn't bother with that traffic, either!
Wishing everyone a GREAT day with love, light and smiles.
I LOVE US!
Good morning my eagle peeps.
Good Morning, THELMA!
Good morning.
Babes were basking in the sunshine and "home alone." Parent must be nearby but out of sight.
Isla is out fishing. Dad, Ezra, is egg-sitting the four RTHs to be at Cornel. Phoebe has two more hummers on the way.
Lori, wishing a peaceful transition for Annie and a very quick, effective treatment for your Dad. Prayers.
Lynne2, the electric arrangements sound unfair. If you haven't already, check your lease for any "hidden" agreement.
Margy, have a quiet day at the dough factory, please. Saw both Kestrel eggs this morning.
Shirley, please enjoy the solitude and the lovely sunshine. Glad Hunter and Kathryn can enjoy some grandparents time.
Sandi, enjoy the special day.
Wanda, Family Sunday is every bit as special as Family Friday especially with Jayden around.
Okay, off to get some coffee. BB
Oh, almost forgot.
About Paula's working light house -- cannot wait to find out if a tug boat or a cruise ship ends up in her yard.
Good morning all. Healing prayers for all in need, Peace and love to all who wait. Happy Birthday weekend wishes and dead ants. Dex and I are going for a nice ride up to find some waterfowl. Cool but atleast some sunshine. HAGD all.
Oh Yeah Lynne you already paid your part of the electric bill when you paid to do laundry. !!!
I see our two little ones alone in that big nest.
Would think the landlord would want to keep you and Steve happy, Lynne, considering his other tenants.
Hope everyone has a great day.
Morning all
Grand morning here
Got to see an eagle fishing right out front! Mr osprey was quick to chase him away...right over the house
Saw mr osprey with a fish on my walk...pic onj FB
I think I might need to get myself some food.
I put a pic of the lighthouse light on fb last night....
Prayers for Lori's dad and annie
Oh and it is solar...does not blin.k. :)]
Went to FB to admire Paula's lighthouse. Really nice!
Just talked to Larry...he's at the airport...drinking a beer...he's on vacation LOL
Hear that wind blowing at the nest this morning.
Good late morning - Our nest looks as though it has gotten a new flooring.
I hope Hunter catches the big one.
Happy birthday wishes to your Mom, Sandi and to your granddaughter, Judy
Princess Jordyn
I hope Dex and his momma have an enjoyable ride this morning. Dex was so looking forward to it.
Paula your Paradise this morning sounds marvelous with all your sightings.
Since Larry is a boat person - does he need that beer to get onto that plane?
lol Just kidding.

Oh I found an eagles nest a couple miles up the road on a side road...at lleast one juvie in the nest

Angie went all out on this party making wands out of rice crispy treats and a pretzel stick dipped in chocolate
and tea cups out of marshmallows, with a half gummy lifesaver as the handle and a cookie as the saucer and melted chocolate on top with sprinkles I put a pic on facebook too just now
LOLLY we still are having issue with oak pollen too here I get it in my truck daily when I set in the parking lot at lunch
We got a lovely view of the aurora that night.
Hello Eagle Pals...
Glo: Great report from you too, and with Dex, and Great Eagle News and picture...
Loretta...wheeeee, a Saturday, rare and precious treat for you
"when Hunter was Little...."
was a nice little vignette, Shirley, about you and he enjoying your cereals together
♥
We are actually approaching
a
SPLIT
not too far from now
6 or 7 posts
And an Eagles' Nest for Paula too,
great!
Well, Silver BAY not Lake,
Shirley, sorry....
my eyeballs are tired tonight...
It's a year today since
my brother in law died....
visited his grave with a friend,
found that someone, a former student I believe,
had left a letter in an envelope,
along with
one golfing glove, and
three golf balls....It was very touching....I opened and read the
letter aloud, and
need to tell his children about it,
will scan it Tuesday at work and
send it to them....
Thinking of Lori, her Dad and Mom,
Kate, her mother, and Annie
(( Hugs, Lori...)) and hope that
all the right things are coming
along with these special people
in your life
God Bless the Health Care
