The power spike yesterday apparently zapped the communication link between the camera and the link to the Internet. NCTC folks are working to diagnose and fix ASAP, while ensuring there is no impact on the birds.
Thanks Glo for your comment on the old thread...you and Paula both suggested AVG, that's what I'll try with the laptop
T-Bird : Go Ahead and Enjoy that Big Head....I speak the truth xo
and Wanda: also appreciate all the jar and bottle opening suggestions...I kind of thought you would loan Gene out once in awhile, I would batch all my jobs together ☺
Just been reading back, and Margy, Prayers and best wishes to you for your poor hands, Shirley's A1 mammo results and Linda's Dennis. I'm so glad they have a new DR. and hope this will aqll be over ASAP!
I go to 2 dentists for alternate cleanings. Yesterday I went to the gum Dr.He said that I was already sitting down, and could I take some tough news? They found out a couple weeks ago that my regular dentist passed away!I couldn't believe it. He was late 50's - 60!His father died young from heart trouble and he had an attack 3-4 years ago, but was taking meds & we thought everything was OK.We've gome to him for at least 30 years aftert our other dentist retired. Didn't sleep to well--he was so nice, like a real friend, not just Dr. Gotta get down the road~~~our newest lady at Chelsea, Alinda, is having BR CA surgery Monday. I'm sure she would cherish some prayers.
Good morning...trying to read back while drinking some coffee and watching Dr Phil... Cam is down due to outage, Momma Jo, where are you? What had I missed , something about in laws family or something? Margy, when you need me, holler, I will come stay if I have too and do cleaning, cooking etc.... oh a driving!!! Also, when it comes to showering, many people just soap up their hands and not use a cloth or scrunchie ..... so if its hard to hold onto the rag, that is always a back up!! I went to weigh in yesterday and guess what?? I lost 5.5 lbs in a week and half, and I am at a total loss of 20.5 lbs in 10 1/2 weeks. Whooohooo!!!!
STEVE, Thanks so much for the updated information.
To everyone, Good morning. I am peeking in from work and was hoping for a cam fix. Will be patient. Appreciate ALL of NCTC efforts to allow us to view.
Good day all. Work and then dentist today. Also, grand kids coming from out of town this weekend (ages 3 and 6 will keep me super busy!) so I will be scarce.
Wheeeee Carolyn, Great Accomplishment ! And I get so "see" this with my very own eyes...You get smaller and you are getting more bootiful at the same time ! Thanks for the offers....! I'll let you know
THanks Margy!! Yes I getting smaller, I keep thinking about when I lose this weight, about all my hanging skin... Charlie keeps telling me not to worry, it will be ok... What does he think I want to go under the knife and have it surgically removed?? Would Insurance even cover it if I were brave enough for that pain??Ugh, I don't want all that skin, thats for sure, I will never wear short sleeve shirts, shorts, bathing suits...etc...
Carolyn...exercise would help tighten up your skin...and losing the weight at the pace you are going, it doesn't sound like it should be much of an issue...it's the dramatic weight drops that cause all that droopy skin.
Oh no!! That is terrible news Margy, thanks for filling me in... SO sad indeed. I am sorry for the families loss. I feel it is December all over again. That is when we see a increase of death.... and this past two weeks I have had more friends lose family members....I guess a sign of getting older..... Its just something you do not really put into perspective when your young. You did see Mary's obit right?? I was right, Mary and Bobby and Tommy brothers and sister
Paula, I am going to start introducing this out of shape body to exercise soon as this weather breaks. I want to start walking and jogging.... then I hope I can start going to the gym... get me on a regimen of toning and tightening as I lose.
Good morning! Can not help but be a little fearful concerning our cam. Do hope it is something that can be found and repaired!!
CAROLYN!!! You go girl! So very proud of you!! When I shed 40 lbs 5 years ago, I lost an average of 10 pounds a month. Gained a wee bit of that back this past winter but now down 14 lbs. Keeping it off is the hard part, especially when you like to cook and enjoy wine. Getting back to walking now is really helping me.
I am about to start making dinner for tonight...Its called Chicken Rollatini with Spinach alla Parmigiana. 5pts + for each. then I will lay down about 5pm or 6pm, I hate Fridays on this shift. I hate to lay down in middle of the day when the kids gets home and they wanna do something fun and I want to join them!! At least next month I will already be gone for work when they get home. I won't know the fun I am missing! LOL
Concerning fb....I think my brother in law in Georgia was hacked. I got a friend request from him and confirmed it. I was brain dead...we were already "friends" This morning he wanted to "chat". I did for a few comments when I realized...this is NOT Herbert. So, if you get a friend request from me....do NOT comfirm it. We are already friends!!
Carolyn, Jack and I "walk" with a DVD right here in the house. We do a 2 mile walk every day. It works!!! The weather here is just to walk in the summer, so we started doing this.
Lolly, that is a good idea...I will have to look into a dvd... Good job on losing the 14!! I dont really drink so that makes it easy for me! Its the sweets that my husband cant live without that gets me!! I always want what he is having!!
Good Morning Eagle Buds ! Morning for a few more moments anyway !
My, oh my, seems like we're hitting a negative streak here...LINDA's Dennis requiring more surgery, SHAR's medicos unable to do the right test, MARGY seeking relief for extreme hand pain, LORETTA and JO grieving for loss of dear ones and all in addition to our already long prayer list !
On the positive side it's good to know JANET's interview went well, JEWELS continues to lose weight in an impressive way, WANDA has good hints for jar openings and insurance needs, PAULA has help with roof leak at her Paradise, LYDIA gets to enjoy grandchildren today and STEVE has the crew working on our cam problems !!!!
We're still shivering here and expecting 3-6" of snow Sunday ! Ugh. Julie, Seth and I are going to Red Lobster tonight. Hugh is in WI tending to his aged mother who has dementia. He's deathly allergic to fish, so we wait for these opportunities to enjoy one of our favorites.
Carolyn this is the DVD we use. Kay and Lori also have this DVD. We do the 2 mile walk, although there is a 1 and a 3 mile walk on the same DVD. We do the stretches afterwards. There is also firming excercise, though have never done them. Highly recommend this DVD. I bought it at Target but here is the online link.
I was walking and watching the Sooner nest. Saw one adult fly up and then the changing of the guard. Good look at three bobble heads. Cool!
About the road trip...we could use my submarine to go to Judy in Florida after our party here. Jack wanted to know how many were coming. I told him I was getting rid of him so we could party. He seems to think we need him here for the party. roflmbo
74° out now gonna pick up Jordyn and head to the park for a bit and then go to Claire's at the mall she wants some Bows and I told her we would go and get some Saw two of the three eaglet in the tower yesterday and both parents too they flew off both of them didn't see them fly back Both the eaglets were wingersizing in the nest you could see them and it still amazes me how many people don't know they were there I was looking in my camera lens and taking pic of them and one of the couple that were feeding all the birds Stated did we get you some good photo opportunities of the birds and I said I wasn't paying attention to them I was looking at the baby eagles and they were surprised when I said that then I showed the pic I had on my camera of the past couple of times being there
I just got off the phone with the IRS recording that they are working on mine With all the IRS fraudulent refunds I just wanted to make sure they got it so I feed better now just have to wait I mailed it at the end of last months so its been 3 wks now
friend of mine's boyfriend was defrauded...of tax refund... it took a loooooong time for all that to get fixed they were poor as church mice so it was rough !
Yes we need JACK for when we all arrive to Hackwood LOLLY!!! Who is going to barb_b_que for us? Tell him I can only have a vegetarian burger so he had better start practicing!!! LOL!!! Then what about if one of us gets attacked by an Armadillo or those ground hogs that you have there that dig up the lawn!!! You do not like them and I can not remember the right word for them...any way I would think JACK is needed to deal with them. Then we need a wine taster so we would know that we are drinking the right wine...it takes a certain amount of je ne sais quoi to appreciate the right wine for the occassion. So you had better keep him around...LOL!!!
Congratulations CAROLYN on the awesome weight loss. I agree with PAULA and LOLLY about the exercise and how that helps take off the slack. I know that from experience.
PAULA I am so proud of you for putting out the applications already. YOU ARE THE BEST PAULA. I hope something comes up soon and that you like it. SHIRLEY mentioned maybe even from your circle of network...? Sending prayers your way.
Very good ski for me today and we went further than the bridge. I think we made 2.5 KM in less than half an hour and I am please with that...
We think we saw a coyote on the track...it came out of the woods and looked at the track and then ran off in the opposite direction. My friend Dale did not think it was a dog as there were no owners around and I do not think it was a wolf as it was not big enough. Exciting to see wildlife in nature. Saw many tracks for deer and elk.
YAY - my work week is over!!! Need to get myself and the dogs packed up so we can get on the road to Baltimore!
Lolly, this may sound like a stupid question, but are you "walking" on a treadmill when you watch your DVD? Are you just walking, or doing things while you walk? I just can't imagine needing a DVD to show me how to walk - surely I'm missing something?!
Carolyn, congrats on the 20 lbs!!
I guess we'll be without our eagles for the entire weekend!? Yikes, I'm glad I'll be out of town with lots to do - otherwise, I'd really go through eaglet withdrawal!!
I will check in when I can this weekend - will have my Kindle with me at Mom's but not my laptop.
LOL Okay, will keep Jack around to fight off the armadillos and moles. He is also good at opening wine bottles, as well as selecting the good wines. Not sure about the vegetarian burgers, though. That might be pushing his limit.
Sandi, it is walking in place, doing side steps, lifting the knees higher. There is a beat to keep you going at a fast pace. I do not like treadmills...got rid of ours. Also, you use a stretchy band for the arms, shoulders and waist. It is all so easy, not expensive and easy on the knees.
It is equivalent to walking 2 miles in 30 minutes. You get tired listening to her talk, but the beat keeps you going. I watch the eagles while walking, Jack looks outside and watches the bird feeders. Hey, it works!
Did a quick skim over the comments. Must go call in a dinner order. Will not cook tonight.
Went to the bank and reported my concerns to the branch manager. He was very interested and made a good suggestion. He said that you should not keep confidential information on a word document in your computer. Put it on a flash drive and remove it from the computer.
He also sold me ID theft protection for $5.00/month.
I was reading back and couldn't find my afternoon comment - duhhhhhhhhhhhh
Thanks for the call over, Loretta. Sad news about your Dentist.
Here is my explanation of being AWOL Good afternoon - Don't send out the Silver Alert - I am ok. When I arrived home last evening around 9PM - (1 1/2 HRS DRIVE UP AND 1 1/2 HRS DRIVE BACK) I was beat! Got ready for bed sat down in the recliner and don't remember a thing! So tired.
Sad we zare not to be able to see our royal family with the cam being down. Steve is on leave and Rob out of office until 3/22. Just praying it is fixable and not something with the camera itself up in the nest. We cannot disturb the family at the nest at this stage of the game.
Shirley -= good advise about using Flash drive - especially if you keep a record of your passwords....
Anxious to hear from Sharon later.
Linda - gd,Christine, had similar concerns as did Dennis - botched surgery but no ownership as to who or how. Finally she has a new dr (surgeon) for her surgery on April 1. First he will explore stomach area for a "nick" somewhere that was caused during the first surgery to remove gallbladder. Then second step is to get that gallbladder out of there. Prayers please for Christine - Michael's daughter. The girls, Samantha and Izzy want their Grandpa Michael to come down at babysit them while Mom is in the hospital - and he will go down to Ft Bragg with them.
Prayers for Christine for sure. Really very special that the girls want Grandpa there to girlsit!!
Have put a cat box in the garage along with water and made a bed. When Annie does her awful crying during the night, to the garage she goes!!! Last night it started at 2. One can not sleep with the awful cries.
Aw, Loretta, so sorry about your dentist/friend. Prayers for his family...
Lydia, sounds like a fun filled action packed weekend for you with the grandkids!
Carolyn, doing great on the diet! I have only lost 6lbs in almost 3 weeks. Not a bad rate of loss, but not like that first week. I agree with Paula in that exercise will help, and slow weight loss...with the skin issue. DON'T wait til the weather breaks to start exercising! Don't try to find time for the gym in your already busy schedule! get some DVDs, use at home when you can! Exercise bands are an excellent, easy thing to use too!
oh Kay, so sorry you have that much more snow in the forecast...GRRRR!
I see Hoda has renamed Lolly's place...HACKWOOD. LOLOLOLOL!
Jo, that's great that Michael will to to Bragg when Christine has her surgery!
Good evening to all. Just checking in. So glad that we know what's going on with the camera...just now waiting along with everyone else.
Been chilly today, cloudy too. It was very warm in my room at work (72) and so I dashed outside to cool off a couple of times between sessions. Thankfully I was fully booked today! :)
Sounds like everyone is doing okay.....its the weekend folks!!!
OMG!!! I had to go back to see where I made the mistake on HAWKWOOD and sure enough I made it!!! I was going to argue with HRH LYNNE and thought better of it so I would not be banished!!!
LOLLY Tell JACK I will bring Mouton Cadet wines as I am partial to Chateau Mouton Rothschild. A deep red merlot is good. I like dry wines...They go well with a grilled head of cabage!!! LOL!!!
Very good tea and desert with my author friend. Lots going on in her life and so we shared stories.
SHAR I wish you well with the injection and the TENS. I do not have experience with either one, but some of the comments under your FB page made me nervous so I decided to not say anything.
wow, hundreds of reports coming in about a large meteor being seen on the east coast from Canada to Fla just before 8pm tonight with unconfirmed reports of impact near MD/DE line....anyone see? PAULA??
Thank you JUDYE. Sorry to not have the cam over the weekend. Grateful that they will resume work on the 25th. I might have to find other interesting things to do on the weekend.
So disappointing about the cam. I love our eagles, but it surely seems like it's just one thing after another where our cam is concerned whereas it doesn't seem to happen on other cams....sigh.
sure wish I lived up there I would drive to the nest
We saw one adult and two juvie wingersizing in to bottome of the tower still no branching at all on in the bottom of the nest and only two SUE said she saw all three on Wed when she was there
I will go to the park after work tomorrow to see if they are doing anything interesting in the nest The grand prix race is in St Pete tonight and its raining so makes a interesting race practice tonight will be on tv also Sun so you might want to take a peak I will be at work
Sorry to see that we'll be cam-less for a little longer, but hope they can get it fixed next week. Do appreciate all that NCTC is doing to try to get it going again.
Loretta, so sorry about your dentist/friend! (HUGS)! Prayers for Alinda!
Carolyn, congrats on the weight loss! Good job!
Shirley, grinning from ear to ear about George's improvement!
Jo, prayers for Christine,for sure!
Shar, glad to hear that something is being done to help with the pain!
I think I'm going to hit the hay early tonight too. Ken and Emma are already snoring. It's contagious! I'm starting to yawn. Have said prayers for everyone. The porch light is on, and both security systems are enabled. Sleep well, everyone, with SED! God bless and goodnight. Love all of you! ♥♥Lynn♥♥ ♥♥Carolyn & Christy♥♥ I LOVE us!
I've been wondering.... if by any chance either one of the Eagles at NCTC might have snagged a cable or something to cut the power. Since it happened in the early morning when one of them might have been moving in or out of the branch perches... Just a stray thought. Or maybe just ALL the power at NCTC went kaput at that hour.
JUDYE I do not think it is a snagged cable. I think it was like a power surge if I understood correctly.
This is what STEVE posted on this thread:
"The power spike yesterday apparently zapped the communication link between the camera and the link to the Internet. NCTC folks are working to diagnose and fix ASAP, while ensuring there is no impact on the birds."
Hi!! Coming in to say good night. Love my ipad. Tonight I downloaded crossword puzzles. Have been working on my lame brain! hee hee....gonna rev it up!
Hoda, Jack smiled and said to tell you that will be fine. We, too, prefer dry red wine, cabs being our favorite. Want that grilled cabbage on a bun?
Okay, now how can a meteor be seen in Canada and FL and impact somewhere in between?????
Hi Andy!!!
Hope this works for you, Sharon.
See you all tomorrow. Wonder if they will still be working on the cam or take the weekend off. Can't stand that we are missing out on our grandeagles!!
I love us! SED!!
Hoda, Jack has another message..."A case of Screaming Eagle Cab would do nicely."
Good to see Paula is tucked in at Paula's Paradise, Jack and Lolly and Hoda are making festive menu plans,
the morning birds are waking up here in my neighborhood, Jewels' work shift is nearly over, It's a day off for our School Teachers and kids...and well, lots of things to be happy and grateful about ☺
Best Wishes for a very Good Day.... Love Yourselves Today !
Good morning Margy and all my eagle friends. Chilly morning here in Baltimore! I read on FB last night that a lot of folks in SussexCo. DE saw a meteorite at about 8pm last night - too bad we weren't home to see that!
Shirley glad to hear that George is feeling better.
Sharon I'm happy to read there is a plan in place for you. I remember the TENS was a huge relief for Kay before her surgery.
Got to Mom's last night and tried to call for piazza - no dial tone! My sister was able to call in but no one can call out. Spent an hour on the phone with Verizon - on hold and then trying to troubleshoot - with no success. Technician will be here tomorrow morning. With. Mom living alone and having a medic alert pendant, she needs her phone line working!
Make it a great day all! Sounds like snow may be in the forecast AGAIN for tomorrow night!
Good Morning SANDI and MARGY, and the rest of the Early Birds still to come.
No snow last night - nothing to shovel this morning, but that won't be the case tomorrow night, expecting up to 6" here, and a few more on Monday.
SHAR, glad you have a plan for your pain. Hope the shot and TENS unit serves you well and FAST!
LOLLY, sorry, but had to laugh at HODA'S Hackwood. Tell Jack thanks for the Screaming Eagle Wine suggestion. Guess it's good stuff, eh?
PAULA and SANDI, have a great weekend! You deserve a break today...so get up and get away .... think that was an old McDonalds commercial! Sorry can't make music notes or hearts on my computer anymore - don't know why.
Bumming about the cam, but thank you for the other links. Need to see some eagles!
heading to the soccer and baseball fields this morning to assist chelsea in shuffling kids to and between fields as chris, (SON IN LAW) has national guard duty. its chilly out. have my thermos heating us and will dress warmly. rain expected, best take an umbrella.
so i have to share with you....my husband is a genius.
it has been over 2 weeks since we have had a full night sleep. ms scout has been getting us up at night, barking/yipping. :( ridiculous, like almost constant from 2 or 3 a.m. on. hmmmm we were both feeling frustrated as we know she can "hold" it ....
what to do what to do.
let her sleep with us and EVERYONE Had a blessed night's sleep! she snuggled up to the back of my legs and we all slept ..... and i am ever so thankful this morning!!!!
she is certainly a unique dog....she is so attached. :)
all right, need to get busy and get ready for the ball fields.
tom will be with olivia at synchro skating....
check in later. light, love, hugs, and smiles to all!
Good morning all. Back from coffee and dog treats. On my way soon to a presentation ceremony for the Director at our Woman's Shelter. She is receiving the Humanitarian 2013 award from Church Woman United. I am so very very proud of her. She is like a daughter to me. Dex will be alone for a couple of hours. Makes me a little nervous but the gal who normally stays with him is also involved at the shelter and needs to be at the ceremony too. I am going after they eat to shorten how long I will be gone. Going to make parking a little trickier but less time away from Dex. CYA all later. HAGD
I see George is improved but Lowreeda is sad and Margy is in discomfort; Lolly and Jack are hosting a "garden" party this Spring; Paula and Sandi are enjoying the weekend; Shar is looking for pain relief (hope it works quickly); Glo is attending a ceremony for a very good cause; and Michael will be with his Ft. Bragg family soon.
Sunshine here but cold. Staying in to catch up on some laundry and school reading.
Good morning - Seems odd not to be able to comment about the cam and our royal family. Everyone sounds busy today and you best git-r-done before the bad weather hits again.
Good morning! We had a thunder storm complete with hail move through while we were still in bed. Pea size hail and an inch of rain. It has passed and we had bright sunshine a few minutes ago. Guess we lucked out as some had larger hail and some large amounts of hail. Boy, will the world turn green now!!!
Good morning everyone! I see the camera is still down. Hopefully Monday will be a better day. Guess I'll go out for a drive and check the eagle nests here by me!
Thank you Magpie for the Kestrel link! For some reason my computer won't allow the Active X download I need to view the cam live. I've been trying everything! :(
Hunter is pretty smart, maybe he will realize that you ARE a queen.... sorry to hear of vehicle problems... for Kathryn...always a bummber, that kind of stuff...
gracious...I had a feeling I was going to make a very long white post and I did...
and deleted it...
Maria, the kestrel is a still image which refreshes I hope you can see it sometime on some computer....the female is spending more daytime time on the nest today so maybe eggs soon...
Just talked with Michael, but could not reach Laurel who is off buying grosssssseries. Trying to get us all together for a meal next Sunday. Michael also said they might come over tomorrow. It has been way too long since I have had my Zacharooski fix!!

O Boy, Esacaping into freedom in 15 minutes of less !!
See You All Later...
xoxox ☺ ♥
Yay on the Osprey and Eagle and the other birds and wildlife, Paula !!
SHAR, I hope you'll be as happy with your Tens Unit as I was/am. Rarely have to use it anymore, but like knowing it's available.
Oops, just got a call from Seth and he's ready for a ride to my place. Julie's working this afternoon and Hugh is out of town, so a little change in routine.
Have a great Saturday night y'all and I'll be remembering you with love and prayers !
The dogs and I have just returned from an hour and a half long walk through Manchester. What a gorgeous day! And we found a pond for Steve to fish in! He is actually fishing today. I WAS doing some cleaning but the sun was so bright and pretty....
good late afternoon....was hoping the camera would be up...... hmmmmm
been busy. it was cold on the socer field this morning. glad the game was only an hour. then a 20 min drive to the baseball field...stayed there til noon...and then lunch with the kiddos.
we are preparing to spring clean olivia's room. went and bought a closet organizer....now you know what i will be doing the REST of my weekend!
it is still cool, 50, and cloudy. expecting rain tonight and thru monday i believe.
weather sure isn't great for spring break this year!
oh well such is life and at least its not severe weather!
We had our severe weather and guess it is headed your way now.
Do not know if Michael and family are coming tomorrow or not. Have decided to make Lasagna. If they come fine, if not, Jack will have lots of meals. Oh, I will eat some but I am mainly eating lots of veggies.
Judy, made that salad that was on fb the other day. It is good, though I think more olives are a great necessity!
Cleaned house today so I am ready for them to come. Laurel wants to come next Sunday right after church. Now need to get Michael to agree with that. These two kids of mine are so hard to get to cooperate! How do you do it Jo with so many? lol
Went to the park and saw both adults and saw one juve wingersizing but no air lift yet
Angie took Jordyn to the beauty shop and she did so good matter of fact was almost falling asleep Angie has a video on FB of it her nodding off and yawning while her hair was being done but she didn't complain or anything she is such a good kid
we were warm today over on the other coast was 90° today we were in the lo 80 now its 72° we may have stroms with the warm front and the cold front headin down we will be cooler hi in lo 60 in a day or so this yo yo weather is for the birds
We are thrilled and blessed to announce the hatching of two eaglets at The Bear Trace at Harrison Bay. The first eaglet arrived on Wed. March 20, 2013 around 7:30 AM and the second arrived Thurs. March 21, 2013 around 7:30 PM. Both eaglets appear to be strong, healthy, and thriving. This is great news, especially considering the failure of the two eggs last year.
This is a video of the first eaglet hatching. What a wonderful site.
Feeding time this afternoon.
I can not thank the United States Golf Association and the Friends of Harrison Bay State Park for their funding and support. Without these great sponsors this project would not be possible.
It was great to see the little ones come into the world but as a result of all the attention the website crashed and our web host has been working diligently to get it back up and going. We are so sorry for any inconvenience this has caused any of our visitors. In the meantime you can view the video feed at http://www.ustream.tv/channel/harrison-bay-eagle-cam
I had a slight heart attack but it is but a small matter of a bottle of wine costing 1999!!! that JACK thinks would do nicely...a case would be better I presume since they are 15% off!!! No problem! Let me see how many Canadian Government cheques will go towards this venture... WAIT WAIT WAIT...I am feeling head and heart discomfort...they don't call it heart and stroke foundation for nothing!!! I had better go rest!!! LOL!!! Expensive tastes your JACK has LOLLY!!!
Big smile you two! Love and hugs to JACK and LOLLY!!! you two bring us a lot of class I would say.
Now JACK was not trying to call me big mouth when he asked if I wanted a bun with my Barb_B_Qued Cabage was he??? I have been laughing at the image of me eating it!!!
HRH LYNNE's reign is being challenged by HUNTER who declared his GRANDMA our SHIRLEY Queen!!?? My oh my what is this realm coming to?
I must have to consult the archives...I hope neither one has to go to THE TOWER!!! But young LORD HUNTER has brought up a delicate situation!!!
As you can tell from my posts it will be a very good thing to get the camera back up and running so I would not keep going on like I am right now!!!...
SCREAMING EAGLE sounds good right about now...we have to set up a fund and it must have international reach so I too could participate!
Good evening. Trying to stay warm up here and not being very good at it
JudyE, send some heat up north please.
Missed any weather report today and know from today's newspaper that bad weather is in the offing. Will we skip spring and go right to summer? If only the wind would settle down..... This old house is drafty.
PA NANA going to the south of the house is a good idea!!! LOL!!! I hope it warms up over there! Are you and LORI in the same part of the state or have you been asked this question before and already answered it? I hope it warms up there.
Are you all doing anything for Earth Hour? Lights off from 8:30 to 9:30? I will participate when it is my time zone.
ah, I am but an HRH in WAITING....but, WHEN I am Queen....LOL!
I was going to do earth hour Hoda, have done it it the past. But Steve isn't home yet and sure as heck he'll show up right at 8:30 with a mess of fish to clean...NOT!!! HA HA! Shhh, I shouldn't say that. hehehehehe! Too early to get THAT lucky I think! But hell come home with all of his gear, full of mud and wanting dinner and a shower.
THANKS TO THOSE OF YOU WHO VOTED FOR MY KARLA'S PHOTO in the OBX contest. Don't know when it ends but do hope she wins. She is like her sister, Denise, and LOVES taking pictures...mainly nature and JAYDEN:)
well, Steve called, they caught lots of fish, mainly bass, but it's catch and release only for bass right now as it is breeding season for them. So, no fish tonight. He said it took him a long time to hobble out of the woods, leading me to believe he did NOT go the close spot so I'll have to have him beheaded, when I am Queen.
So, I am now blogging by candlelight since he won't be home til almost 10. EARTH HOUR!
We observed earth hour early...we were out by the fire till almost 8...the house was dark until then...just finishing up dinner...got the path fixed at the end as it was washed out...fig trees trimmed...more brush raked and burned...yard raked...its been a good day
Oh, that HONEY! LOL Yep, gonna keep that honey close!! Right now he has deserted me. He is watching hockey and he like to watch it on the TV in the study as he sits closer to it. He is so funny. I know when the STARS score as he lets out a yell.
Good Morning All! Hope everyone had SED and is feeling fine this Sunday morning.
BEV, so sorry about Tom's brother. Prayers for your family. Big (((HUGS))).
LYNNE2, you are sounding more like HRH everyday. I love having you as queen. Glad you didn't have to clean fish last night!
SANDI, are you playing tennis today?
HODA, how did your earth hour go at your place?
Can't wait until we get our cam back!!! I miss the eagles.
The big storm rolls in tonight...up to 7" expected here.
Oh, HODA, I'm near Punxsutawney, PA, where the groundhog is, in NW PA.
DIANN, where are you in PA?
Prayers for all in need, JO, SHARON, ANDY, DANAMO's Dad, SANDI's Mom, GLO's MIL, THELMA's BIL, Michael, Baby Isaac, Jim's sister Ann-Marie and the Riffe Family.
Went to Madeline's ice show - she was a skating statue in act 1 and a kite foyer in act 2. Then we went to dinner and Brian and Lynnis joined us and then everyone came back to Mom's for a couple of hours. Nice day!!
Waiting now for the Verizon guy to show up to fix Mom's phone service and then we'll head home.
Good morning all. Prayers for the Riffe family. My heart is heavy for them. Prayers for a phone fix and Sandi's Mom you bet living alone she needs that phone for many reasons including the lifeline!!! Ice show sounds wonderful. Had a good morning yesterday. Feeling lost without the cam so don't say much. Have a Blessed Palm Sunday.
Spent most of the evening outside by the roaring fire...my son loves playing with it as much as I do
Which type of hawk has a reddish underside and a white band on the tail up near the body? Saw one hunting in the marsh yesterday...think it found some lunch :)
Oh also heard a loon last night! Thought they were gone already.
Good morning to all. Cool and wet here. Perfect day for staying inside and cleaning/organizing. Coffee first and maybe some breakfast in a bit. It is still a little early.
Another full night sleep. I think we have the magic answer. :) Ms Scout was lonely. She sleeps by my legs and so, I have a snuggler in bed with me. I can live with that.
Not a lot going on. Hope everyone has a lovely day. Maybe the camera will be fixed soon.....
(((Hugs)))) light, love, smiles and comfort to one and all. Have a super day!
Condolences to Tom and Bev and all the family Riffe.
Grey and overcast here.
Paula, don't recognize your hawk but you prompt me to ask if anyone would recognize a bird that looks similar to a mourning dove in color with a short stubby tail and a long narrow dark beak similar to a humming bird. Tried to Google but not successful. Saw it a couple of days ago.
Off to begin my day. Wishing a good day for everyone.
Was awakened some time ago by a cat stomping on me to remind me that he is ready for his breakfast. George is better.
Have been busy this morning reminiscing about the summer of 1962 when I was at the Blue Ridge YMCA Assembly in Black Mountain, NC. Going through their Facebook page and connecting with some others who were there.
GOOD MORNING... Just got a weather-bug ALERT. Advisory from 6pm tonight til 6am tomorrow. 2-4 inches of snow. Glad, now, that we don't have a working cam! Although, we know they can handle it!
CONDOLENCES TO TOM AND BEV & all their families, on yet another family member passing~
Grandson, Brandon, says it sounds like a Red Tailed or Red Shouldered...but I think you, Paula, know what they look like. Without a pict. can't tell for sure. Interesting Paradise!
MAGPIE: I finally got the Kestrel webcam to work on Google Chrome. Thanks for letting me know about this! Hopefully the Kestrel will lay some eggs soon!
Paula, the only hawk I can think of that would have reddish underside and white upper tail band would be a Harris's Hawk, but they are not found in this part of the country. Was that the ONLY tail band? Was the breast streaked or solid in color? Google Hawk in flight ID and see if you can find it in images.
Judie, can't think what yours might be but I'll check in my Crossley ID book and see what I can find.
Glad George is feeling better Shirley!
And glad you've found the soloution for Scout Janet!
Good Morning Eagle Pals... Interesing Birding Banter...I see Red-Tails soaring overhead and if I am driving I think I am seeing an Eagle, but know that I am NOT.
There are Broad-Taileds and Red-Shouldereds out at Swinging Bridge....
Eyes to the Skies, Paula...You will see it again, I bet ! Oh, and dreamy, you heard a Loon xo
Maria: I got Live Kestrel...a click of a button and a trust in the website... Thank YOU for alerting me to that live feature ! Nest is empty right now, though...
New pic link on BWO shows TWO Great Horned Owls in the platform last night :(
"We had two Great horned owls on the nest last night. We're hoping a resident pair of ospreys begins to defend the nest so the owls don't think it's available. GHOs often take over the nests of other birds rather than build their own."
Have continued to try to identify the unusual bird. No luck. Strangest is the long beak that is similar to a hummingbird but larger as proportional to the bird. Well, another mystery waiting for solution.
Margy, have fun with James the Wise. Safe travels.
Good afternoon! I trust all are having a pleasant Palm Sunday. Music at church this morning was awesome. The choir did the first half of a cantata and will finish next Sunday. Wish I could sing! Should rephrase that...I can sing, just can not carry a tune!!! :)
Michael and family are not coming as Michael forgot Ashley was running a half marathon today, Brrrr! Chilly day to be doing that. Sunny but was 39 this morning and quite breezy. Up to 49 but feels much colder.
We are going to Dallas tomorrow afternoon and evening,
Hi Gang, Sorry to see camera is still down. My dentist I saw TH asked me for the website to our nest cam so they can show the grandchildren. DUH!!I had told him about the 2nd chick hatching who looked like it was wearing an eggshell hat!So, I'm trying to fix up a couple pics I can mail them. (don't have their email)
Thoughts and prayers to Tom and Bev. How sad. (I still don't think my reg. dentist is gone~~keep picturing him at his office)
Paula, gotta look up that hawk~~was the white tail stripe on the underside? Judie, I'm entranced by your long beaked bird. Have you checked out the sandpiper family? Most have long beaks.
Wish you could see our front yard. As I came home from church and pulled into the drive, I admired the view. House is set back from the road and around the house the redbuds are in full bloom, some trees have the bright green of spring, and the Japanese Maple is bright red. It is all so pretty! Will tty to get a panaramic pic for you to see.
Hi there, Loretta! Did you see where we have to get the submarine out from storage? Need it for a road trip from our abode to Judy's in Florida. Also, have been enjoying the Sutton cam. The nest is back on the platform they built in the water. The one we went to see and first used the sub. :)
Okay, things to do while the nest cam is down--identifying hawks, long-beaked bird (sandpiper?), find some honey, and some good wine--ah the days of wine and honey . . .
I have learned that if you go into Wegmans and hang around the locked refrigerators where the really expensive wine is stored, it will not be long before someone comes to ask if you need help. I wonder how many cameras are trained on that spot?
Kathryn is thinking about looking at new cars today. She thinks the transmission on hers is shot. Not really wanting to make such a big purchase right now, but she might not have a choice. A transmission problem is a serious thing.
She has my car right now. Tomorrow I will take her to meet someone for a ride to work. She is thinking of getting a rental for a few days, but renting a car for very long will just add to the cost of the whole thing. She can get a special rate on a rental through her work, but she can also get a special rate on a new car.
The hawk had a white band at the top of the tail...on the outside. Can't remember if was white on the inside. Breast color was red but not sure whether streaked or not...was actively hunting and a little far...even with binocs...and yes I'll look for him again! Hoping the snow doesn't make much of an appearance.

Wish you all well
Wheeeee Carolyn, Great Accomplishment ! And I get so "see" this with my very own eyes...You get smaller and you are getting more bootiful at the same time !
Thanks for the offers....!
I'll let you know
Hi Lydia ! Your Friday is upon you ☺
Loretta
I am so sorry for the sudden loss\
of your dentist and friend....
and thoughts of you and your friend at Chelsea....
(( Hugs ))
Caro-
Jo
s sister-in-law's 93 year old father passed a away a few days ago,
services were Thursday in Cumberland MD
THanks Margy!! Yes I getting smaller, I keep thinking about when I lose this weight, about all my hanging skin... Charlie keeps telling me not to worry, it will be ok... What does he think I want to go under the knife and have it surgically removed?? Would Insurance even cover it if I were brave enough for that pain??Ugh, I don't want all that skin, thats for sure, I will never wear short sleeve shirts, shorts, bathing suits...etc...
Thanks Steve and co.
Missing our pair :(
Hoping we don't get nasty weather Sunday/Monday.
Thanks Steve for the update. Now it doesn't sound like such a quick fix...parts may be needed.
I am missing our cam, too!
Weather is just too hot. (meant to say) Geeeeesh!!!
Lolly, that is a good idea...I will have to look into a dvd...
Good job on losing the 14!! I dont really drink so that makes it easy for me! Its the sweets that my husband cant live without that gets me!! I always want what he is having!!
Good morning get up and find a new thread and no cam but so happy Steve is keeping us informed
Thnaks for the new thread STEVE and the INFO
Love and prayers abound for all !
♥♥♥♥♥♥♥
Kay, I couldn't have said it any better than that!! Thanks!!
Walking DVD
I was walking and watching the Sooner nest. Saw one adult fly up and then the changing of the guard. Good look at three bobble heads. Cool!
About the road trip...we could use my submarine to go to Judy in Florida after our party here. Jack wanted to know how many were coming. I told him I was getting rid of him so we could party. He seems to think we need him here for the party. roflmbo
74° out now gonna pick up Jordyn and head to the park for a bit and then go to Claire's at the mall she wants some Bows and I told her we would go and get some Saw two of the three eaglet in the tower yesterday and both parents too they flew off both of them didn't see them fly back Both the eaglets were wingersizing in the nest you could see them and it still amazes me how many people don't know they were there I was looking in my camera lens and taking pic of them and one of the couple that were feeding all the birds Stated did we get you some good photo opportunities of the birds and I said I wasn't paying attention to them I was looking at the baby eagles and they were surprised when I said that then I showed the pic I had on my camera of the past couple of times being there
I just got off the phone with the IRS recording that they are working on mine With all the IRS fraudulent refunds I just wanted to make sure they got it so I feed better now just have to wait I mailed it at the end of last months so its been 3 wks now
friend of mine's boyfriend
was defrauded...of tax refund...
it took a loooooong time for all that to get fixed
they were poor as church mice
so it was rough !
hope everyone has had a nice
day and will have a nice
evening.....
" See You Evening "
xoxo
oh what in the world would that mean!
See You Later on in the Evening
Later!!!
Off to tea and desert...
I will pass the bakery and might buy some hot cross buns!
They make good ones there...
I might not need them though!!!
LOL!!!
BBL
What what what!!!
???
NO VEGETARIAN BURGERS???
REALLY!!!
What is a woman to do???!!!
LOL!!!
Thank you, STEVE for the new thread and working on the cam! We appreciate you.
Thanks Loretta for the call over and congrats on the feather! Sorry to hear about your dentist.
LOLLY and JUDYE, so funny hearing you talk about heat and warmth where you are and it's STILL snowing here!
KAY, I think we're going to get lots of snow - like you - on Sunday night and Monday.
JEWEL, congrats on the 20 lbs weight loss! That's awesome. You go gurl!!!
I ordered two more books on the test I am studying for. I just wanted the practice tests! They came today. Feel like I'm in school again!
Hoda, messages here from Jack...
"We only drink fine wine, what are you bringing?" and "He can grill a head of cabbage with the best of them."
Well today has not been so warm. High in the 50's today, presently 52 and cloudy. Chance of rain, but so far nothing. (Of course!)
I have completely vegged out today. Did make a salad that sounded yummy.
Here is my explanation of being AWOL
Good afternoon - Don't send out the Silver Alert - I am ok.
Evening all.
THanks for the update Steve!
Check in with ya later!
72 is TOO HOT! for indoors, anyway...
I am checking in from the WV Turnpike. Just left having dinner with Andrew and Kelsey. You know I am happy about that.
I will see an interventional radiologist for a steroid injection in my back and they are also ordering a TENS unit for my back.
Prayers for Christine and Dennis LINDA.
wow, hundreds of reports coming in about a large meteor being seen on the east coast from Canada to Fla just before 8pm tonight with unconfirmed reports of impact near MD/DE line....anyone see? PAULA??
HOME from the evening with family had a nice time
Just in case no one brought the mssge from the cam site this is it
:-(
""
We have been unable to restore power to the camera at the nest.
We will resume work on Mon, Mar 25.
Thank you for your patience.""
Have not heard about the large meteor LYNNE!!!
On googling it there are many reports.Nothing confirmed yet as to impact.
We saw one adult and two juvie wingersizing in to bottome of the tower still no branching at all on in the bottom of the nest and only two SUE said she saw all three on Wed when she was there
I will go to the park after work tomorrow to see if they are doing anything interesting in the nest
The grand prix race is in St Pete tonight and its raining so makes a interesting race practice tonight will be on tv also Sun so you might want to take a peak I will be at work
Hi, Everyone,
Sorry to see that we'll be cam-less for a little longer, but hope they can get it fixed next week.
♥♥Lynn♥♥
♥♥Carolyn & Christy♥♥
I LOVE us!
I sure hope it didn't hit my Fenwick Lighthouse which is right on the MD/DEL line!
FB - Helen Kalis has a picture you may wish to check out
Sandi is in Baltimore - and Paula is too far away from the DE line. I guess we will wait for the news.....
Well the weekend is here - this week has gone by very fast.
Almost too fast. Going to close for the day - TTUT ♥
Oh...two eagles canoodling at Lake Washington....
Big Woswer
moving sticks around,
I've been waiting on those Eagles !!!
Hello Eagle Pals
One just flew out, shucks, I was hoping to see a little HP
Here is the Link:
Lake Washington Eagle Nest
whoops I was not fast enough catching JO on the LW news...it is a site we have watched ofen...
only one when I went to look
I've been wondering....
if by any chance either one of the Eagles at NCTC might have snagged a cable or something to cut the power. Since it happened in the early morning when one of them
might have been moving in or out of the branch perches...
Just a stray thought. Or maybe just ALL the power at NCTC went kaput at that hour.
and now none at all at LW.
I think they are in the early stages of nesting
Good to see that post from Sharon....
hope relief comes in waves very soon
I didn't see the meteor, would
surely have liked to and I was out and about at that hour
will watch the news then head to bed...
Good Night, Precious Pals...
Prayers for Wellness....
God Bless This [not visible now] Nest,
and God Bless Us, Every One xo ♥
Sandperson is on the way.
Restful sleep for all.
Goodnight JUDIE and MEMA JO
Love you both dear ladies.
thanks Hoda...It was I, not JudyE...
I should have remembered that fact that was posted....whoops !
My bad MARGEY and JUDYE sorry for mixing you up.
Evening all
Safely here at paradise...house is cold but warming up
Read back to see Jo popped in...good to see you Jo
Shar...hope the injections and tens unit helps
Did not see the meteor...I was about on the bay bridge at that time...glad I didn't see it!
Screaming Eagle Cab
Why, it is only $1,999 a bottle and you get a great discount for a case of 12. It would be so appropriate for a momster gathering.
Again....SED!!!
Good Morning Eagle Pals...
Good to see Paula is tucked in
at Paula's Paradise,
Jack and Lolly and Hoda are making
festive menu plans,
the morning birds are waking up here in my neighborhood,
Jewels' work shift is nearly over,
It's a day off for our School Teachers and kids...and well, lots of things to be happy and grateful about ☺
Best Wishes for a very Good Day....
Love Yourselves Today !
xoxo ♥
I love you ALL, and I LOVE US!
GOOD MORNING eagle buds
Good Morning JUDYE!
good morning to all. saturday!!
heading to the soccer and baseball fields this morning to assist chelsea in shuffling kids to and between fields as chris, (SON IN LAW) has national guard duty. its chilly out. have my thermos heating us and will dress warmly. rain expected, best take an umbrella.
so i have to share with you....my husband is a genius.
it has been over 2 weeks since we have had a full night sleep. ms scout has been getting us up at night, barking/yipping.
My goodness, what a busy schedule, Janet !
Hello More Eagle Pals
I SEE you T-Bird...☺
her I am, at work... trying to make dough
xo ♥
Good morning all. Back from coffee and dog treats. On my way soon to a presentation ceremony for the Director at our Woman's Shelter. She is receiving the Humanitarian 2013 award from Church Woman United. I am so very very proud of her. She is like a daughter to me. Dex will be alone for a couple of hours. Makes me a little nervous but the gal who normally stays with him is also involved at the shelter and needs to be at the ceremony too. I am going after they eat to shorten how long I will be gone. Going to make parking a little trickier but less time away from Dex. CYA all later. HAGD
Morning all..chilly and windy but sunny and clear outside ...but toasty inside
Not much in the way of bird sightings this morning
More sand on the beach this week
Will finish trimming my fig trees and do some more clearing today
Good morning.
I have missed much but tried to read back some.
Wishing everyone the best day possible.
Good morning - Seems odd not to be able to comment about the cam and our royal family.
Everyone sounds busy today and you best git-r-done before the bad weather hits again.
No plans for today - Palm Sunday is tomorrow.
No plans here today, either. All soccer games are cancelled I am sure.
Wanda, you need to go to the nest and report back to us. We are all going into withdrawal.
hi again
hi more morning folks
kestrel is in the nest box
Good morning everyone! I see the camera is still down. Hopefully Monday will be a better day. Guess I'll go out for a drive and check the eagle nests here by me!
maria
\the kestrel is in her nest right now
I just went outside....
it is the near-perfect early

What to do? What to do? The rain soaked our newspaper. lol
scream :(
one of the downsides of Rain
Lolly
Such creatures of habit we are. Guess I could read on line, but love my newspaper and cup o' coffee.
Thank you Magpie for the Kestrel link! For some reason my computer won't allow the Active X download I need to view the cam live. I've been trying everything! :(
Hi,
Been busy looking up transmission repair shop phone numbers and rental car phone numbers for Kathryn. She is having issues with her truck.
Thanks for your kind words about George. I am thankful that I do not have to give him any more of those pills. He has been eating.
HRH Lynne? I want you to know that Hunter informed me that I think I am the queen.
While Kathryn and I were chatting on the phone, she saw an osprey fly by with a fish. She was near the river.
Well...
Shirley....
It has been way too long since I have had my Zacharooski fix!!
hope you can get that visit in
next week, Lolly ☺
bet it does feel like FOREVER
between visits....
Mr osprey is here!
Got to see ms eagle and some oyster catchers too
Surely is a PARADISE there, Paula!

Good late afternoon Eagle Buds !
Pleased with updates provided here !
♥♥♥♥♥♥♥
The dogs and I have just returned from an hour and a half long walk through Manchester. What a gorgeous day! And we found a pond for Steve to fish in! He is actually fishing today. I WAS doing some cleaning but the sun was so bright and pretty....
Taking a quick break to say Hi! Busy with grand kids here over the weekend. I SURE miss seeing Belle, Shep, Hedgie and Shamie!
I hope the cam can be fixed without disturbing the nest so we can see them soon.
Take care everyone.Wishing all a good rest of their weekends
^( '-' )^
good late afternoon....was hoping the camera would be up...... hmmmmm

Have a good time organizing Janet!
Thanks Lynne2. I've been doing a fair amount of that this year and loving it! :)
How do you do it Jo with so many? lol
Voted Wanda!

Hope everyone is enjoying this awesome site"""
Glad read that mostly we are all alright.
Good quiet day here and it is beautiful with blue skies and sunshine.
Good to hear of the hatching JUDYE.
Jack says " I think I have expensive taste and I would like to find out some day!"
Oh, yes, he has expensive taste...he has ME!! LOL
Going to the south of the house to warm up.
Later......
Hey Wanda, sure wishing for Karla's picture to win - a winner in my heart anyway.
Ah, I see we have competition for the HRH position. Hmmmm. Anyone ever heard of a shared queenship? Once again, our blog has a first.
Busy day today and am feeling tired. Discussed this with sandperson who has agreed to depart early to make visits to each of you.
The night light is on. Restful sleep for all.
well, Steve called, they caught lots of fish, mainly bass, but it's catch and release only for bass right now as it is breeding season for them. So, no fish tonight. He said it took him a long time to hobble out of the woods, leading me to believe he did NOT go the close spot so I'll have to have him beheaded, when I am Queen.
So, I am now blogging by candlelight since he won't be home til almost 10. EARTH HOUR!
We observed earth hour early...we were out by the fire till almost 8...the house was dark until then...just finishing up dinner...got the path fixed at the end as it was washed out...fig trees trimmed...more brush raked and burned...yard raked...its been a good day
wow, that was a very productive day Paula!
Sissy just posted on FB that Tom's brother passed away this evening :(
Oh so sorry for Tom :(
sure smells good in here with the candles burning....
think I'll hit the shower now.
How many times do you think I will open the cam page to see if by some miracle that it's back online? LOL!
Good day PAULA glad it was so productive.
RIP for TOM'S Brother!
POOH BEAR is not happy! There is no more honey in the flat! OK I am Pooh Bear!
I have honey!!!
Yes, prayers and love going to Tom and Beverly. That is really rough, so soon after his mother's passing.
I won't touch that one LOLLY!!! You keep your honey close to you girl!
LOL!!!
I have been standing by - no cam yet! Perhaps on Monday! I sure miss seeing them.
I had been watching Tom Selleck movies of Jesse Stone most of the afternoon. Missing our Lady Lynn.
Going to go and tuck my head now - ttut
Tomorrow is Palm Sunday ♥
I hadn't been on FB - So sorry to hear about Tom's brother passing. My prayers for the Riffe family.
My heart really breaks for them.
Oh, that HONEY! LOL Yep, gonna keep that honey close!! Right now he has deserted me. He is watching hockey and he like to watch it on the TV in the study as he sits closer to it. He is so funny. I know when the STARS score as he lets out a yell.
Good to see you Jo!
Goodnight and sleep well.
alrighty then. I am playing brain games on AARP site and I am CLEARly and epic AIRHEAD.
OK I am shutting down now as it is 35 minutes from Earth hour.
The fridge will stay plugged in and also the heat in one room.
Everything else is off.
Good night.
See you tomorrow.
PRAYERS♥
Stopping by to wish all a good night. Prayers for all needs, wants and special prayers for the Riffes.

GOOD MORNING EAGLE BUDS
BEV so sorry about Toms brother
Good Sunday morning Lori and all my eagle friends. No tennis for me since we're in Balto. visiting my Mom.
Good morning Judy!
Sure hope we have eagles to watch tomorrow!
Sorry, SANDI, forgot you were in Baltimore with your family. Glad the ice show was a success! Good luck with the phone company. :)
Morning all
Spent most of the evening outside by the roaring fire...my son loves playing with it as much as I do
Which type of hawk has a reddish underside and a white band on the tail up near the body?
Good morning.
Good morning,
Was awakened some time ago by a cat stomping on me to remind me that he is ready for his breakfast. George is better.
Have been busy this morning reminiscing about the summer of 1962 when I was at the Blue Ridge YMCA Assembly in Black Mountain, NC. Going through their Facebook page and connecting with some others who were there.
Missing our birds. I hope the cam is fixed soon.
Need to find my mouse. Having trouble negotiating without it.
So sorry about Tom's brother.
Have a Blessed Palm Sunday ♥
Judie you can try the whatbird site...think it les you put in tose factors
My hawk might have been a juvie red tail or rough legged hawk
Grandson, Brandon, says it sounds like a Red Tailed or Red Shouldered...but I think you, Paula, know what they look like. Without a pict. can't tell for sure. Interesting Paradise!
....or a Broad Tailed Hawk~
Good morning my friends.
MAGPIE: I finally got the Kestrel webcam to work on Google Chrome. Thanks for letting me know about this! Hopefully the Kestrel will lay some eggs soon!
Thanks Wanda
Good Palm Sunday Morning!
Oh, and dreamy, you heard a Loon
xo
My sister in Roanoke is getting snow NOW...
Paula, not sure what your return travel plans are...but....well, you might run into some "Stuff"
So very sorry to hear of Sissy's Tom's brother's death....
Two ospreys at BWO and three eagles at BWE..two babies and one adult...
whoops FOUR eagles at Blackwater and one new fish !
But in an instant that fished got moved....just as I am typing
Mother mantled and father left, and babies are Jonesin' for some wushi
Maria:
I got Live Kestrel...a click of a button and a trust in the website...
Thank YOU for alerting me
to that live feature !
Nest is empty right now, though...
New pic link on
BWO shows TWO Great Horned Owls in the platform last night :(
"We had two Great horned owls on the nest last night. We're hoping a resident pair of ospreys begins to defend the nest so the owls don't think it's available. GHOs often take over the nests of other birds rather than build their own."
Final Approach to Easter....
Many liturgical events this week....
Happy Palm Sunday....
Time for me to get Gittin'
Going to see my teenage pal...
James the Wise Kidster.
Guess I might be return traveling in some wet stuff tonight...
Best Wishes for a Good Sunday,
Every One...
(( Eagle Hugs )) xo ♥
Lynne2:
I'll be Bunny in Bibs
next Sunday ☺
xo 'bye
Have continued to try to identify the unusual bird. No luck. Strangest is the long beak that is similar to a hummingbird but larger as proportional to the bird. Well, another mystery waiting for solution.
Margy, have fun with James the Wise. Safe travels.
Verizon JUST showed up for the "between 8am and noon" appointment!!!! At 2pm!!!!!!
#@?%$"#?
Hope to be on the road back to Bethany in a few.
Hi! Everyone. Sympathies for the Riffe family. So sorry for Tom's loss and that of the family.
Big Red has three eggs! She is the Red Tail Hawk at Cornell. I think she is the most beautiful hawk.
BigRed
Also, Osprey at Dunedin.
Hope we get the camera back.
It is cold and rainy here but no chance of snow. Thank goodness.
Just saw that it is 8 degrees in Fort Collins, Colorado, where my brother Jim lives. Brrr.
Yes, Lolly, that sub is the way to travel the portion of I-10 that is in the Gulf of Mexico.
