Lolly, which of the Leslie Sansone workout DVDs do you have? I could SWEAR I have one, but I can't find it. Maybe it was one of those things I was going to get but didn't. Anyway, I'm tripping down to the Library today and they have a bunch of her stuff.
he's lived hear for all but the first 6 months of his life, so he knows the place really well. I have always accepted the fact that he might get hit by a car. But when I say he'll tear the house up if he can't get out....he WILL! But only at night. More often than not these days, he usually only wanders out with Steve, the dogs and me for our night time walk. He goes right along with us! And I am guessing that he rarely ventures far anymore because of the serious decline in "presents" in the last couple of months!
LYNNE, don't know if LOLLY is still on, but I'll answer for her. The dvd is "Walk Away the Pounds". I'm finding it just as useful on hot, humid days and I did on rainy days. It will come in handy during ice and snow season, too. Thanks again for introducing me to Ms. Sansone, LOLLY !
SHIRLEY, your school year is right in sync with that of Columbus City system this year. Seth had two finals yesterday, two today and aced out of the rest so has no school tomorrow. Julie should be picking him right about now and his Sophomore year is history ! So, is this week THE final week for you ? Hope so !!!!!
LYNNE, the dvd LOLLY and I have is called "the ultimate collection". 4workouts on it, 1 mile, 2 mile, 3 mile and 4. We are both on the 2 mile, but the 1 mile is a great start and you can stay there as long as you want. You'll know when the bod is ready for more. They use some "balls" in part of the walk, but I improvised with 2 lb. weights--could also use small soup cans--- no need to buy equipment. Plus you can just to the walk without any props if you wish.
Great avatar, Kay. He was a lovely bird. I'm sure you miss him. :(
For those not on Momster mail, Chrissy sent this:
"Sorry I've not been in touch,, but as you can imagine it's been all things nest this past week,,,,
Today was our last day for hopes of a hatching of the 3rd egg,, nothing has happened,,, so I think that's hopes have now gone,,,
Isla and the Laird did all that they could, as best as they could,, but the weather has been against them,, it isn't a case of Isla being infertile,, no!! it's purely down to the terrible weather that they have had to contend with,, from biting gales and icy temps, to rain that we haven't seen the likes of for 40 years,, so everything was stacked against our wonderful pair this season,,,,
I know, well we all know that these Raptors can only keep these eggs warm if the weather allows,, such a fine dividing line,,
So this year we won't have chicks and our birds will migrate early we hope,,,, we still have two healthy and strong Ospreys and with Gods Good Grace they will return next season,,,,
But,, firstly SWT must allow the pair to continue to sit on the eggs until they get bored and abandon them,, then they must come and remove the eggs for DNA and to see why and where the weather affected the eggs,,, but we all know that SWT will probably miss this golden opportunity,, they need to get data from Isla,, they don't have any at all,, only photographic and video clips,, no DNA at all,, so the eggs will give them all they need,,,
If they pass on this,, it's a one time gift for them,,, then I'm truely finished with them for good,,, as far as I'm concerned they are hanging by a thread as it is with the general public,, but then they will cry,, "It cost to much",,, never mind the Scientific data they will collect and have for the future of the Osprey World,,,"
Pretty much what we all had feared. Maybe next year.....I would not be surprised to see Isla return yet again!
Thrills, chills and cherry pills---remember that old saying? Now there is a pool next door...one of those blue things with the funny shape that always reminds me of the bottom of a nuclear plant cooling tower! And like the kennel cage, swing set and trampoline, it is UNLEVEL! And this jerk was a contractor. Doesn't he know how to level ground or items he puts on it?? Sorry---had to rant.
Severe thunderstorm watch just issued for all surrounding areas in the tri-state region.
Shirley....good to hear the kids got their yearbooks. It has always floored me that here they don't come in until the next fall. SO unfair to seniors who won't be able to get autographs. Stupid system here....but that's nothing new for this place.
My kid's school does that too, yearbook arrives during the summer. Never heard of such nonsense. How on earth do you get people to sign it? Bad enough that it costs over $60.
We made a quick trip to the grossery store. When I checked the loons there were both the parents on the nest. Then one left and there were the little loonies, they had been under the adult. Now they are both under the other as the first adult went for a swim.
Kay, thanks for answering "Lynnies" question about the DVDs. Nope that is not going to work. You are not a Lynnie. You are a Lynne!
Sorry to barge in while so many seem to be talking the walk.
Faculty meeting today was pretty good. Then did some grossery shopping for salad stuff and sandwiches -- no real cooking until we get the new AC/furnace next week. Hot as h___ at 92º Would be so happy to have some cooling rain.
Glad Wanda is doing better and hope she found GG improved.
Forgot, is Jo's dr appt routine? Hope so.
Checked the loon nest. One loon babe moving around. My first seeing a loon babe so it was nice.
Going to put my swollen ankle up before heading to the kitchen.
Yes, Judie, I think Jo's apptmt. WAS routine. Glad yu had some time away from the hothouse!! Rain did nothing to cool it down here...boohoo. Just made it more muggy than ever.
YEAH YEAH we got rain its has been raining on and off for a couple of hours when I went back to lunch you could see it coming Not so hot now BBL I got to get busy
There is still no sign of Bother Cat, my Freakshow in a Fur Jumpsuit. we have been out looking and listening for any meowing. We have nothing. Checked with our neighbors, too. Another road check. I can only hope that maybe he didn't decide to come home early and is now in hiding waiting for a time when the neighbors dogs aren't out? I dunno...
Had house ready for house guest, but because flight was cancelled, Rodney will not get here til about 9 tonight. I must say it has been nice doing more last minute things at leisure. Having early "orders" and a glass of wine. ☺
no storms for us! not terribly unhappy about that although I'll have to water. After all the rain, mowing and raking....nice for the grass to have slower growth for a while!
Darn it the moment I stepped out it started raining hard I can wait in no hurry Too many people drive like idiots best to sit and wait You thought you could get rid of me for awhile and I'm back hahaha looks like is only gonna last a little bit I hope
am habby like the rest of you see two rather frisky little loonies on the nest, second parent came to the edge, there was some soft "purring" and then the parent left from the edge bet those little tykes cause some tickling to the roosting parent
Lynne, hoping to hear Brother Cat has returned soon
try that water trick again little Loony and I'll nab you with my beak... do you tnink that goes through the parent's mind? I know they will be water-bound soon...
LYNN, for sure Seth will get the ice cream for dessert Sat. evening. However, if he happens to be here alone of with Julie tomorrow or Friday, he'll no doubt give it a try. I know you and Liesl are probably heading for school about now, but later, tell me---how many kids do those next door neighbors have ? Do they have other kids over so that all that outdoor equipment gets lots of use ? If so, do you get a lot of noise wafting in from that direction ?
Lynne, I found out last night that Joey, SIL, is on a starvation diet. Really truly, 500 calories!! He is under doctors care, is using a nasal appetite suppressant and measuring everything he eats. He is living off his fat!! I am so pleased he is doing this. He is a big guy, 6'6" but he does not need to weigh what he does. He is 41 and has blood pressure, cholesterol, and back problems, plus his snoring is awful!
Dad Loon just checked in,lolled at the side of the nest and brought his beak up, like he was delivering something... does he bring food? Then he dove underwater and now swam further out
Love Jo's Sunflower Avatar! know she is enjoying some Alexis time this evening, hope doctor app't went well also And Kay, lovely picture of your dear Rico and your YELLOW flowers ♥
Joey is walking in their neighborhood. It will be nice to have a more slender Elvis this year! LOL He just has had no portion control. Because he is big he thinks he can eat unlimited quantities. Wrong!!! After this diet he needs to learn control!!
Lori: I have viewed your pictures.. and here is my comment:
Anonymous said...Ooooh, and Aaaaaah... lovely, each and every one....! And your captions are wonderful also, not only a lovely set of pictures but an education as well xoxo ☺
June 1, 2011 5:55 PM
I see Glo and Jo made it through the secret door and got their comments to post I tried about ten times.....
Ok Lolly....it's a pain in the hiney I'm sure for him to have to change his eating habits, but I hope he finds it to be a challenge he can conquer! 500 calories, sounds waaaay too low for his size...
going to take a little break, have lots of stuff to catch up on here, one cool project, check out what is in my freezer and organize it !
lynne 2 I am sorry about the cat, I hope yiou find it soon.
I am glad to hear about the Loon Family.
Had a wonderful day and with the pews the Grans to Grans organisation raised ten thousand dollars for the Stepehn Lewis Foundation to combat AIDS in Africa.
Very good yoga practice I was wondering how it will be after my back felt a bit sore from the Dragon Boat paddling last evening...It was good.
The Basil I planted is not happy with the cold weather we are having and I think I might lose it...50 degrees here today...this is June for God's sake...I keep opening the window just because it is so important to have fresh air and in the winter time it is such a rare thing for me to do...Enough of my complaining already...
Liesl, Girl don't eat dead stink bugs get the live ones so your Mom doesn't have to...Happy training session you two...
here comes Dad and his precious cargo There goes Dad and his precious cargo Not to worry Hoda, we all angst over the loss of plants... hope the Basil makes it through, you might need to sing to it ♪ ♫
The NCTC is still working to resolve the camera's cabling issue at the tree. We don't have an ETA yet on when it'll be resolved. So, hang in there. Thanks for your patience."
The above was posted on the OC site today by the Outdoor Channel folks...their logo used on post.
I watered my porch plants and tomatoes in the middle of the night with gallon-water jugs, AFTER the space shuttle landing.. Oh rain, when ? I have the day off Thursday to volunteer at James's school Field Day in the morning... wouldn't want it then...maybe just before and after
Can not tell the loons apart, Judy. Close peeking, I guess, is all you can do. LOL
Yes, Margy, I had more chance today to peek at the loons. I like that!
Do all men drive messy cars and trucks? Just told Jack we needed to clean his truck. Geeesh! We just went out and washed it and I cleaned the interior. Guess what we found under all the dust?! Hail dings!! Oh, well, it is his truck and it will remain with hail dings!!
If it is the dad he's a good dad taking him all day while mom tends to the newer one Hail dings that's bad and insurance would cover but then your rates will go up I would assume
Hail dings are a comprehensive claim according to my resident expert. Not as likely as collision claim to cause rates to go up. If not too bad, paintless dent removal is a possibility.
but the way, Shirley, I had an idea about your missing outfit, did you hitchhike something on to if you were short on hangers? I have a lot of hidden clothes in my closets, too, try to put short sleeve or sleeveless shirts on top of long sleeved things
Hello Shirley and JudyE: Your week-end is upon you Judy !
Ok my puter experts out there got a silly question What makes my computer processor (tower) (whatchamacallit) sounds like it is reviving its engine??? really scary at times!! Just thought was odd to do!
Cool to know on the insurance thing I have a carport on the backside of my house I park under but at work at least I know if it happens in future.
This blog is full of knowledge from all areas of life Cool Beans I say!!
Ok back to trial I just wanted to ask since the puter did is engine reviving thing before I forgot to ask later Fresh in mind You know how it is !!!!
Lolly been meaning to tell you: I saw where you and some pals were making B---f Tongue quips on Facebook.. I have been buying second hand cookbooks for some ideas for our Wednesday Pot Luck Lunches at work, got one on hors d'oeuvres that has a dish using Pickled Tongue! LOL
oh gee, my ice cream got kinda soft while I was working on organizing the other things in the freezer...wonder if I should...have a little dessert before dinner?
Good Evening Everyone - The Loon family is thriving! I did read the most recent Blog comments from Larry - don't forget to do the same.Lots of information.
My dr appointment went very well I go back in Oct for breathing test and CT before my sit down with the dr. My prognosis is that I won't get any better but I must not get any worse. My Sed rate was a 4 and that is very normal!
We have been with Alexis this evening and she was a little Magpie! Just couldn't stop talking and words just poured from her mouth! Her favorite expression is,"Well, actually.." It was really fun listening to her.
OMG JO, James says "actually" a lot and it is indeed cute. I can't keep up remembering all the neat things he says, keep meaning to write them down !! Good For You !! Fun Kid Stuff ♥
Who ever lives up there need to do a road trip for the gang to to say hey to our eagles and take a picture if they are there Scott said he was thinking about going up there I hope he does soon SCOTT hint hint LOL JOGreat DR report
Back to the trial My mind can't listen and type to well
JudyE---thanks for finding and posting the slideshow of the WE----someone asked about the terrain Sunday.....I said that I was sure it was very rugged. This shows that it is indeed!
was that tremelos and yodels? Wow, Larry really knows his loons.. very interesting read, his blog, Thank You Jo for steering us in that direction ! Whew! His expression: Does Anyone Know how to Restart a Heart Imagine, how he felt, typing those early difficult words..
Kay....neighbors have one little girl about 2 yrs. old. GO FIGURE. There are also 2 older children who visit, but not ad frequently as they used to---don't know whether they are his froma former relationship, or if they might be niece and nephew. THere is also one of those curbside basketball nets resting on the edge of the road, on a curve (kept hoping snow plow would take it out!! Aren't I awful?) The whole side of yard closest to me is piled high with his ladders, carts, construction debris. Older kids bikes are hanging upside down under deck (which is what makes me think they may be his kids). Deck is FULL of table, many chairs, huge grill, and baby riding toys---there are also some of them all over yard. Plus a sandbox. Under deck is piled all kinds of junk. If home, they always have garage open---it is full of mower, motorcycle, 4-wheeler, dune-buggy and junk. Sorry----TMI, but need to rant some more!
That's a lot of WOOF Lynn, and burn season now as of today allows burning 24/7... but no toxic stuff is allowed! Guess people figure, who's going to know? Wish more violators would be caught in the act, and fined big!
Hoda, you went back to the dragon rowing last evening??? So are you going to do 3xweek??? Cool! Good for you! You all do wear life jackets, right???!!!
Lynne, keeping up prayer for Brother Cat.
Lolly, if dr. approves 500 calories, then I guess it's okay, but I find that very scary. Just keep reminding him about how much damage the excess weight did to Elvis!
Margy, I'm on my way to take care of your freezer. I'll just stick my head in and make sure everything is organized. Just go ahead and enjoy some ice cream.
Jo, glad you had some good Alexis time and really happy the check up was positive.
Hoda, happy your bit of discomfort has not put you off dragon boat participation. How about bringing the basil inside for a few days if you have a somewhat warm, sunny place.
Lolly, enjoy your company tonight. Glad you were able to make leisurely preparations. Never happens to me. Do hope Joey has a dr who is monitoring 500 cal/day.
Lynn, do puppy classes offer an elective "what not to do when you find a live stink bug?"
Did watch the loon cam for a little. Saw an adult on the nest, looked like two babes, also. The other adult was just floating around which only made me wish I could climb through the screen and dive in.
Animal prayer that Brother cat is located and safe.
Well, since I cannot join the loon family in a swim, I think I'll try a shower with cool water. Need to get cooled off and to get my ankle elevated. Too much walking today.
The night light is set for automatic at 11:00pm. Restful sleep for all.
Judie... I just can't believe the timing of your A/C dying... I am so sorry.... wet cool washclothes? put them in the freezer or refrigerator for some instant cool?
Two Adults one Baby in the water, looking for second baby oh that sound...tremeloes and yodels
Oh, look the Loon family is swimming together. How cute! The water is so smooth right now. As long as they get the babies in the nest before dark it is okay!!!!!
Mema Jo I am glad you had a good health report. Also on FB I saw the loon videos that you posted and I wanted to say thank you very much. It is what was being discussed on this blog last night...I appreciate it.
No Storms here, in fact it wasn't too bad out...worked in the yard, putting in a few flowers and mulching...gotta go out and water them in a few, in for a cooling off break!
Hedgie/Lynn, Dragon Boat is a good experience for me. I had always avoided team sports and am stunned that I am doing this for three times a week..Tuesday and Thursday evening and Saturday morning. There are some people from my yoga class and some from the Grans to Grans group and they are a great bunch of women who are cancer survivors...
Judie, the idea of sun has been unknown in these parts for going on two weeks now. I think if it was not so cold I would be checking for mold on me just abpout now ;^) LOL I think I will bring the plants in overnight though that might help as the temperatures drop to upper thirties low forties...We already had Victoria Day and it is not supposed to do so, but it is doing it so I just have to accept it. When I go out on the water with the Dragon Boats Team I am usually wearing three layers of clothing!!!With all the paddling I do not overheat!!!
JudyE----that is the fan running in your CPU!! If it's making TOO much noise, it could be dying. Or always a slim possibility that the hard drive is going bad. You might want to have it checked to be safe!
odd how it is all calmed down now, good, while the "family" is out for their swim lovely clouds reflection on the water am so happy for Larry there, "Larry the Loon Guy "
hedgie/Lynn and Judy E, my computer store tells me that when the fan in the Tower is making too much noise I must make sure it is not blocked so the hard drive would not over heat and they also speak of cleaning it on a regular basis as it is surprising how fast dust accumulates.
Nugz is doing good, Margy, thanks for asking! But he is getting older...just sat and watched a bunny in the yard...or maybe he knows he just can't catch it!
Magpie/Margy do not tell anyone one but I overslept this morning and only had an hour to get ready and actually go to yoga on time. Shut eye sounds just about right...It is only 6:32 PM PDT and I expect that I will call it a day by ten PM...It has been a full day for me and yet I am VERY PLEASED I stayed up to see the Endeavor and its crew return to earht safe and sound...
Can not believe how smooth the lake water is right now and it is so quiet. Usually the nest is really a rockin!
Yes, Hoda, basil likes warm weather. Our basil is doing great considering it does not get a lot of sun. I just have too much shade, but WILL NOT cut down a tree!!
Paula so glad to hear news of Nugz and that you too seem to be taking life in stride and sharing each others' company...well done you for the garden work...
Maybe Nugz had the philosophy James has sometimes when we see something and I want to photograph it, Paula He says, just enjoy watching it Grammy ! ☺ Glad to hear Nugz is doing good...xox ♥
The beautiful loon family may have said their good-by as they swam off into the sunset. Be sure to catch Larry's next blog comments... I am not expecting them to return - I could be wrong.
Hoda, I won't breathe a word of it! You should have seen me scrambling to get NASA TV on this morning when first alarm failed because I forgot to turn it to "on" and the second one jolted me out of bed in the nick of time to see the landing ! You have surely had a full day....that's very inspiring
Hope the Loon Family comes cruising by soon, I wanna see em' ! The water is finally so glassy and smooth, beautiful !
JUDIE, why don't you and Darth go outside and play in the sprinkers like we did when we were kids ? Have water balloon fights, anything to cool off ?! Oh, no, I forgot, you got your hair done yesterday---well put a shower cap on and go for it !
JO, so happy to hear about the visit with the doctor and to know you don't have to go back until October !
LOLLY, is Joey's diet in preparation for bypass surgery ? Glad there is a doctor in on it, but it sounds kind of drastic !
LYNN, Seth called about an hour ago, asking if he and Malcolm can come over tomorrow. Well, I had to think long and hard about that, but after a split second I said, Yes ! So, I'm guessing the ice cream will be critiqued tomorrow--will let you know.
Good Evening in Eagleland. Got home late, worked some on 'puter & just finished dinner! Whew Been glimpsing at the new Dance show---Hmm. A lot seems to be acrobatics, not dancing.
Was watching foxies from afar on way home from work. One little one ran down the field edge, so stopped car to walk closer, looked back and an adult was behind car! Wondered if it might bite the tires!LOL Then saw two juvies, I think, across the next field. As I left, hail stones started--mothball size, then heavy rain. More stones close to my house!Cooled it down a little. BBL---need coffee
Margy, just a burger from the King tonight! One of tonight's lessons was "Drop It"---don't know how long it will take Liesl to learn that one!!
Lolly, guess your company will be arriving shortly. Try to enjoy your entertaining! You've worked hard getting ready---try to relax now!
Judie, praying that the weather cools off for you. Isn't it amazing how spoiled we have gotten?? Never knew what A/C was when we were growing up----and our parents and grandparents managed fine....we never had it in schools, either....and now they close schools when it breaks!
I think you could be right, Jo.... been sitting here thinking the same thing....seems prophetic, the still cool water....the family glides off into the sunset... will surely keep an eye on Larry's posts.... in the morning ! I'm headed to bed, have enjoyed keeping time with you, friends.... and watching the Loon Family
Prayers for wellness God Bless THIS and ALL Nests and God Bless Us, Every One xoxo ♥
Lolly I went and brought all the herb container garden in I hope that helps. I might turn the heat back on again this evening... SOOOOO GLad you do not cut down trees...Good on you!!!
Wish I could hear tremeloes and such.... :( Such a disappointment.
I have a huge bite on my cheek....itched like crazy until I got the Calagel on it. I have not been bitten by skeeters in probably 20 yrs.....and now I've had 4 in two days. Must be because of all that rain we had last week.
Speaking of FB----Scott had a contest going: guess how many total pics/clicks he's done since opening his photog business 2 yrs. ago and win a print of one of his photos. LEONA won! She came closest-----it was something wild like 57,000!!!
LYNN, what a horrible neighbor situation that is for you. Seems like there should be some guidelines with a HOA that would cover a lot of that. People can have toys and play equipment, but construction materials, debris and burning noxious stuff in a residential area ? He must not care that much for wife and child if he lets them breathe in that gunk ! Bad news !
I run my wonderful swiffer back there all the time but there is a spaghetti network of wire back there. I should move them that may be blocking somewhat. Thanks for all the info, I knew I could depend on the eagle blog buds to come to the rescue.
PAULA maybe he realizes he just can't catch them He has wised up in his old age as we all have.
Usually the loons are around for a few days. Maybe they are gone...off into the sunset!
Rodney called. He is here. He has had a long day, bless his heart. Sure wish Chee could have come with him. Expect him here at the house in another 30 minutes or so. He and Jack are going to have fun. They plan to work in the workshop tomorrow.
Just heard the loons, also saw a boat go by s_l_O_w! Wonder if the boat has them riled!

Sounds like an interesting day at school, Shirley:)
Hi, Wanda. Thanks for the new thread, Steve.
Hope you are feeling better today, Wanda.
PSF Wanda! Thanks for the callover and thanks Steve for the new thread!
Lynne, has Brother been neutered?
He will come home, he knows he has it made at his home!
Lolly, which of the Leslie Sansone workout DVDs do you have? I could SWEAR I have one, but I can't find it. Maybe it was one of those things I was going to get but didn't. Anyway, I'm tripping down to the Library today and they have a bunch of her stuff.
Anyone read any good books lately?
Shirley, feeling much better...anti-inflamatory pills are doing the trick!
yes Wanda, he is neutered! And he is no spring chicken either...he's 11 now.
HOW IS YOUR KNEE????
Boy, I could use a facial...will see what I can do;)
Going in to GG's. BBL
Students are taking exams and SOL tests. My seniors have their exam tomorrow. Those who have an A or B and good attendance are exempt.
he's lived hear for all but the first 6 months of his life, so he knows the place really well. I have always accepted the fact that he might get hit by a car. Julie should be picking him right about now and his Sophomore year is history ! So, is this week THE final week for you ? Hope so !!!!!
thanks Kay....holy moly there are several "walk away the pounds" series, 30 minute, express, walk and job, walk and abs, walk strong.....UGH!
Thanks for the fresh thread Steve!
Will we be getting rid of the BLUE
Cam soon?
Have been watching since last late night the loon cam. All is well now but surely was a lot of drama
last evening.
Getting ready now for DR appointment BBL
LYNNE, the dvd LOLLY and I have is called "the ultimate collection". 4workouts on it, 1 mile, 2 mile, 3 mile and 4. We are both on the 2 mile, but the 1 mile is a great start and you can stay there as long as you want. You'll know when the bod is ready for more. They use some "balls" in part of the walk, but I improvised with 2 lb. weights--could also use small soup cans--- no need to buy equipment. Sure hope Brother Cat comes strolling in soon !
ok thanks Kay, that was the one I wanted but it's not at my local branch. Will have to do a request for it.
JO, thinking of you as you head for the doctor's office.
WANDA, hope you find GG feeling well and pain free today. So, hey, have you made an appt. with the knee doc yet ?
Just heard the mailman. BBL !
UGH, NONE available! All checked out! So I'll get the 1 and 2 mile ones to start while I wait till one of the ultimate become available!
I work out on my Freestyle Glider but that will get boring after a while!
Looking for the loony, Mom is keeping this one under wraps!
Hope brother cat shows up soon!
I got lost. Bringing over from old thread:

My kid's school does that too, yearbook arrives during the summer. Never heard of such nonsense. How on earth do you get people to sign it? Bad enough that it costs over $60.
Shutting down. Big storm almost here---unless it misses us! Later, gators!
That's the whole purpose of a yearbook, is to get the signatures!
Momma has the newest baby loony all covered up...pretty choppy and windy there....haven't seen Dad and #1 all day.
Storm was fierce but brief! Sun back out.
Paula, not only that, but if kids have gone off to college or military, someone else has to go pick up the yearbook for them!! Assinine!
Kay.....when will Seth get to try the ice cream??
We made a quick trip to the grossery store. When I checked the loons there were both the parents on the nest. Then one left and there were the little loonies, they had been under the adult. Now they are both under the other as the first adult went for a swim.
Kay, thanks for answering "Lynnies" question about the DVDs. Nope that is not going to work. You are not a Lynnie. You are a Lynne!
Lynnie here...LOL!
Got the mile walk DVD and one called a closer 2 mile walk that has some inspirational stuff in it.
100 here right now! I know that's right because when I was out and about, the clock/temp sign at the church up the road said 99
small storms popping up along a line, but not an actual line of storms. Looks like we are going to get missed for some rain.
93 here, can not believe you are hotter than us! It is so dry too! Grass is starting to dry up!
Grrrrr!
figures right after I left for lunch new thread BBL
Lolly, thanks for that loony info!!
Good afternoon. It is 86° in Nature's Air Conditioned City.
Hi everyone.
Thank you, Steve.
BBL
Oh no....Liesl just ate a dead stinkbug!!!!
Yes, Judie, I think Jo's apptmt. WAS routine.
Glad yu had some time away from the hothouse!! Rain did nothing to cool it down here...boohoo. Just made it more muggy than ever.
Time to trade Liesl in! LOL!
Yeah, get a dog that eats live stink bugs...
Don't let her lick you STINKBUG BREATH LOL
That's what I'm afraid of!! Don't want her classmates to turn on her for having SB breath!!!
Or for her to kiss me!!
YEAH YEAH we got rain its has been raining on and off for a couple of hours when I went back to lunch you could see it coming Not so hot now BBL I got to get busy
Get the doggie toothpaste out BRUSH BURSH that stink away
Gotta finish getting ready to head out. Stay safe if storms are around you!!
See you this evening.
Eeewwww...LOL Lynn....have fun at class!
2 eaglets at BWE, male and a female
Ah, female has a fishie.
one Loony visible with parent
Loonie is just precious.
I am sure this has been discussed and I have missed it. Any word on our cam?
He is a video of the eagle being realesed was on face book
SET FREE FREEDOM
WEST END CLIMB WOW
A LONG WAY UP
Sharon, no word on the cam. We are thinking they may not do anything until Fall.
Two little loonies on either side of Mom. STAY out of the water little loonies!!!
I dunno...
Headin out for a couple of hours BBL
Had house ready for house guest, but because flight was cancelled, Rodney will not get here til about 9 tonight. I must say it has been nice doing more last minute things at leisure. Having early "orders" and a glass of wine. ☺
no storms for us! not terribly unhappy about that although I'll have to water. After all the rain, mowing and raking....nice for the grass to have slower growth for a while!
Two juvies and an adult nearby
at BWE
going to check on Loonies!
Hello Eagle Pals !
Hey Lynne, how about putting some snowcones on your avatar ?? LOL
Darn it the moment I stepped out it started raining hard I can wait in no hurry Too many people drive like idiots best to sit and wait You thought you could get rid of me for awhile and I'm back hahaha looks like is only gonna last a little bit I hope
You guys got to go check out the pictures on face book of the eagle that were released Sooo beautiful
EAGLE PICTURES
am habby like the rest of you
see two rather frisky little loonies on the nest,
second parent came to the edge,
there was some soft "purring" and then the parent left from the edge
bet those little tykes cause some tickling to the roosting parent
Lynne, hoping to hear Brother Cat has returned soon
try that water trick again little Loony and I'll nab you with my beak...
do you tnink that goes through the parent's mind?
I know they will be water-bound soon...
great pic link on BWO of the three little osprey babies ☺
I see 2 loony babes!
Heading home, gotta hit Wally world...
Later!
don't know about the rest of you my Loon Cam volume goes UP and DOWN quite regularly...maybe it is the wind
both babies, one parent on the nest
Then he dove underwater and now swam further out
So good to see the whole loonie family in tact. Hope there will be peace and quiet and no high drama there tonight !
That's heavy duty, Lolly..hope Joey can get his weight and medical problems all under control...
would he do the walking tapes?
Righto, Kay...that was very scary last night, in the cold, wet darkness...
Hello!
Love Jo's Sunflower Avatar!
know she is enjoying some Alexis time this evening, hope doctor app't went well also
And
Kay, lovely picture of your dear Rico and your YELLOW flowers ♥
Joey is walking in their neighborhood. It will be nice to have a more slender Elvis this year! LOL He just has had no portion control. Because he is big he thinks he can eat unlimited quantities. Wrong!!! After this diet he needs to learn control!!
Wish that one Little Loony would come away from the edge. He is is going to be in the water before we know it!
Lori:
I have viewed your pictures..
and here is my comment:
Anonymous said...Ooooh, and Aaaaaah...
lovely, each and every one....!
And your captions are wonderful also, not only a lovely set of pictures but an education as well
xoxo ☺
June 1, 2011 5:55 PM
I see Glo and Jo made it through the secret door and got their comments to post
I tried about ten times.....
Your flower avatar is nice also !
Best wishes for a good evening, everyone !
xoxo ♥
Hedgie:
Thanks for posting Chrissy's information about Loch of the Lowe's
ttfn
One Lil Loony in the water swimming with Dad.
The other Lil Loony is trying to squeeze out from under Mom. LOL
Entire loony family in the water. Yikes!
One parent back on the nest. Both babes still in the water with other parent.
saw that Lolly
is that one baby close to the edge of nest in water now
How neat - love the little loony sounds !
AND the Big Loony Sounds !
Extra time with the loons for you until Rodney arrives, worked out well, eh??
lynne 2 I am sorry about the cat, I hope yiou find it soon.
Liesl, Girl don't eat dead stink bugs get the live ones so your Mom doesn't have to...Happy training session you two...
sailboat going past....mother seems agitated!
Sail boat is annoying the loons:(
oh this is the place to let it out Hoda...
Bravo, what a blessed mission you have with the Grans to Grans...
and neat about the pews also !
Hello !
here comes Dad and his precious cargo
There goes Dad and his precious cargo
Not to worry Hoda, we all angst over the loss of plants...
hope the Basil makes it through, you might need to sing to it ♪ ♫
HI WANDA !
I'm playing in the freezer and drinking hot coffee! ☺
and sneaking over to watch the Loons ☺
Not even a drop of rain at GG's. She wants rain for her beans and squash and to cool it off. No rain here, either. Had to water our Tub Garden:)
"Hi all,
The NCTC is still working to resolve the camera's cabling issue at the tree. We don't have an ETA yet on when it'll be resolved. So, hang in there. Thanks for your patience."
The above was posted on the OC site today by the Outdoor Channel folks...their logo used on post.
THANK YOU HODA good news that they are working on it Still hope we can see Belle one day soon
I watered my porch plants and tomatoes in the middle of the night with gallon-water jugs, AFTER the space shuttle landing..
Oh rain, when ? I have the day off Thursday to volunteer at James's school Field Day in the morning...
wouldn't want it then...maybe just before and after
is that daddy in the water
PS how can you tell without peeking
Can not tell the loons apart, Judy. Close peeking, I guess, is all you can do. LOL
Yes, Margy, I had more chance today to peek at the loons. I like that!
Do all men drive messy cars and trucks? Just told Jack we needed to clean his truck. Geeesh! We just went out and washed it and I cleaned the interior. Guess what we found under all the dust?! Hail dings!! Oh, well, it is his truck and it will remain with hail dings!!
Lolly won't the insurance cover Hail Dings to a truck?
I do hope the Lil Loonies are in the nest. I see one adult in the water, but no little ones.
Yes, insurance would cover it, but there are not very many and there is the deductible.
If it is the dad he's a good dad taking him all day while mom tends to the newer one
Hail dings that's bad and insurance would cover but then your rates will go up I would assume
I'm glued to the boob tube watching the trail I dvr'd today BBL
Actually, Jack says the insurance would cover most of it, but he is not interested in pursuing it. LOL
Hail dings are a comprehensive claim according to my resident expert. Not as likely as collision claim to cause rates to go up. If not too bad, paintless dent removal is a possibility.
We just got a bit of hail here.
My resident expert filed a claim but did not get the car fixed. She used the money to pay off the car loan.
Perfectly legal.
paintless dent removal, sounds like a miracle..
does it work on people, Shirley?
That was for hail damage some time ago. Damage is on top of her car. She can't see it, so she does not worry about it.
She says that is under research, Margy.
but the way, Shirley, I had an idea about your missing outfit,
did you hitchhike something on to if you were short on hangers?
I have a lot of hidden clothes in my closets, too, try to put short sleeve or sleeveless shirts on top of long sleeved things
Hello Shirley and JudyE:
Your week-end is upon you Judy !
hail dings
sounds like a game ☺
It involves electrical charges and suction cups. Probably would be painful for people.
Lolly
been meaning to tell you:
I saw where you and some pals were making B---f Tongue quips on Facebook..
I have been buying second hand cookbooks for some ideas for our Wednesday Pot Luck Lunches at work, got one on hors d'oeuvres that has a dish using Pickled Tongue! LOL
see one baby on Dad...is there two on Dad??
yes indeedy does sound painful, think I'll stick wtih my dents, Shirley, dents and dings!
oh gee, my ice cream got kinda soft while I was working on organizing the other things in the freezer...wonder if I should...have a little dessert before dinner?
actually I have to organize my greeting cards next...have some birthday cards and things to get ready for mailing..
Have you all seen the new Go Green Stamps? and the new "Love" Stamps? Nice, both !!
will be ogling Loon Cam and putzing around for a bit
ttfn xoxo
7 Days Shirley !!!
Good Evening Everyone - The Loon family is thriving! I did read the
most recent Blog comments from
Larry - don't forget to do the same.Lots of information.
My dr appointment went very well
I go back in Oct for breathing test and CT before my sit down with the dr. My prognosis is that
I won't get any better but I must not get any worse. My Sed rate was a 4 and that is very normal!
We have been with Alexis this evening and she was a little Magpie! Just couldn't stop talking and words just poured from her mouth! Her favorite
expression is,"Well, actually.."
It was really fun listening to her.
OMG JO,
James says "actually" a lot and it is indeed cute. I can't keep up remembering all the neat things he says, keep meaning to write them down !!
Good For You !! Fun Kid Stuff ♥
love those little loonie squeals and peeps
and good, your doctor's report, Jo....
xox... thank you for letting us know...
sure wonder what our Belle is all about these days.....hope she is soaring in glory and eating lots of fish !
a little Magpie, eh?
That is a high compliment to this Bigger Magpie xoxo ☺
okay, disappearing at this time for a bit
Who ever lives up there need to do a road trip for the gang to to say hey to our eagles and take a picture if they are there Scott said he was thinking about going up there I hope he does soon SCOTT hint hint LOL
JOGreat DR report
Back to the trial My mind can't listen and type to well
BBILW going to watch a taped TV show that I had missed........
Back and settled in.
Whew!
His expression: Does Anyone Know how to Restart a Heart
Imagine, how he felt, typing those early difficult words..
The eagle release pics are great, too, JudyE. TY!
OK Lynn
lay it on us:
what you did you buy to eat on the way home?
And did anyone want to take your little Liesl away tonight?
Hello !
Oh, yeah.....constant noise.
Plus he's always burning something in a barrel.......and fumes are noxious.
HOA Pres is going to call the county property code enforcement officer to see if there is anything she can do.
That's a lot of WOOF Lynn, and burn season now as of today allows burning 24/7... but no toxic stuff is allowed!
Guess people figure, who's going to know? Wish more violators would be caught in the act, and fined big!
Good Idea, Lynn...hope something comes of it
Hoda, you went back to the dragon rowing last evening??? So are you going to do 3xweek??? Cool! Good for you! You all do wear life jackets, right???!!!
Lynne, keeping up prayer for Brother Cat.
Lolly, if dr. approves 500 calories, then I guess it's okay, but I find that very scary. Just keep reminding him about how much damage the excess weight did to Elvis!
Wow, $10,000---that is stupendous, Hoda!!!
I'm melting! I'm melting!
Two Adults one Baby in the water, looking for second baby
oh that sound...tremeloes and yodels
Both loonies in the water...so cute!
Oh, look the Loon family is swimming together. How cute! The water is so smooth right now. As long as they get the babies in the nest before dark it is okay!!!!!
Those babies can really swim...only a day old!
I have "Hello Dolly" bars in the oven. Going to make another kind of bars tomorrow. Thought bars would be good for an informal backyard dinner.
When the first one went for a long swim at night, he was only hours old!!!
What was that? A bird flying around the nest?
Secret donor helps 770-pound patient get a home Lakeland news
Lolly, are the invitations in the mail;)
I saw that bird buzzing the nest...maybe a gull??
and I did not see the second baby, glad you two did Lolly and Wanda...
Sure they are, Wanda! Oh, how I wish it was the MOmsters coming!
Glad someone else saw the bird, Margie. Yes, saw two little loonies in the water!
Mema Jo I am glad you had a good health report. Also on FB I saw the loon videos that you posted and I wanted to say thank you very much. It is what was being discussed on this blog last night...I appreciate it.
Evening, all!
No Storms here, in fact it wasn't too bad out...worked in the yard, putting in a few flowers and mulching...gotta go out and water them in a few, in for a cooling off break!
Oh, the water is pretty at the loon cam...hoping to see the loons swimming.
The Bay was very calm, almost glassy when we crossed it coming home last weekend...don't see that too often.
Sun is setting. Time for little loonies to go to bed.
You might want to have it checked to be safe!
odd how it is all calmed down now, good, while the "family" is out for their swim
lovely clouds reflection on the water
am so happy for Larry there, "Larry the Loon Guy "
Hoda
I am getting Shuttle Eyes....
the old lids did not get enough closed time today
I remember as a kid being the first one to dive into a perfectly still swimming pool, and trying to outswim the "wake" to the other side
hedgie/Lynn and Judy E, my computer store tells me that when the fan in the Tower is making too much noise I must make sure it is not blocked so the hard drive would not over heat and they also speak of cleaning it on a regular basis as it is surprising how fast dust accumulates.
sounds good Paula...getting the yard all put together
How is Nugz ?
Nugz is doing good, Margy, thanks for asking! But he is getting older...just sat and watched a bunny in the yard...or maybe he knows he just can't catch it!
He stayed out with me all evening...
Shuttle eyes....good one, Margy!
Maybe Nugz had the philosophy James has sometimes when we see something and I want to photograph it, Paula
He says, just enjoy watching it Grammy ! ☺
Glad to hear Nugz is doing good...xox ♥
The beautiful loon family may have said their good-by as they swam off into the sunset. Be sure to catch Larry's next blog comments... I am not expecting them to return - I could be wrong.
This is just tooooo funny
What is the commercial about Can you guess before the end
Hoda,
I won't breathe a word of it!
Whew
Been glimpsing at the new Dance show---Hmm.
Prayers for wellness
God Bless THIS and ALL Nests
and
God Bless Us, Every One
xoxo ♥
Paula, that would be two not too in my last post.
Lolly I went and brought all the herb container garden in I hope that helps. I might turn the heat back on again this evening...
SOOOOO GLad you do not cut down trees...Good on you!!!
Wish I could hear tremeloes and such.... :(
Such a disappointment.
I have a huge bite on my cheek....itched like crazy until I got the Calagel on it. I have not been bitten by skeeters in probably 20 yrs.....and now I've had 4 in two days. Must be because of all that rain we had last week.
Prayers that Brother Cat returns home to Lynne and Steve tonight
(( hugs ♥ )) Lynne and Steve
Goodnight Margy and God Bless sleep tight and sweet dreams.
Lynn - my naturalist friend in NY could not get the Loon cam to open either...
he has a MAC..thinks he needs to do an upgrade of some sort...
Whoops! I see the loons1 Here they come!
Cool, Kay!! Or as JudyE says---cool beans! Another blast from the past, that one!! Love it!
You WILL taste-test it, too, right???
Goodnight, all turning in. Sleep cooly and peacefully.
Loretta, doubt that the fox will bite the tires! How is your knee??
Is there a baby on the back?
Loons looming !!!!!
One loon is still way out on the lake. Hopefully it has the babies!
Loony Lolly is looking at the looming loons!
Loon swimming around the nest, waiting for the other one
I see parent and baby further out
Dr. Sharpe is banding the Sauces chick tomorrow sometime between 1 and 3 pm PST.....which would be between 10-noon here.
Ah there's a baby w/ the first parent...chick still in the water parent on the nest
Aw is that the baby loon calling
LYNN it because your are so sweet is why they bite you
See one baby out in the water! Ah, baby in the water next to the nest. Come on up baby!
Sooo pretty!
