This is a picture of my Papa. He is my birth father. He died in 1967when I was an AFS student living with my American family. I took a photo of a photo I have of him. He was a kind and loving Papa.

Is this the post you wanted me to bring forward WV_GAL DANA?

wvgal_dana said...

Thank you Hoda for brinning that post over. I enjoyed seeing your birth father; Your Papa. I am sorry he passed in 1967. We do miss them very much when they have passed on. I enjoyed seeing his picture thank you HUGS ( :

Thanks for the new thread Steve, and Happy Father's Day!

Thanks to HODA for the call over.

KAY & LYNN, could you guys just keep working on that bomb scare / Reagan Nat'l story and send it to me early in the morning? LOL.
There was a woman who made a bomb threat last week on the Red Line of Metro's subway. She had nothing either. What are these people thinking. There is zero tolerance for that, especially here!

Yea DANA WV - another hummer has cruised into your life. Hope it stays around.

SHARON - asking God to give you peaceful and drama/trauma free home this week. You've had enough. Poor Mattie.

hedgie said...

Oh, Hoda, you Dad was a very handsome fellow. Reminds me of David Brinkley!!!

JudyEddy said...

Check this out someone posted on facebook and I am reposting it there also but for those of you that don't have face book I'm posting this is really nice
THE PUSH

Hoda said...

hedgie, thanks my Mama thougth he was handsome and she eloped with him. He had proposed to her family and because Papa's family is not as well off as Mama's family he was turned down. They wanted her to marry her cousin, it is allowed in Egypt. She did not want to marry her cousin and she eloped with my father and that caused a real scandal in Egypt. Mama's Papa, my grand father was Minister of Agriculture in the King's Cabinet at the time and what a scandal it was...it was Egypt in the early forties, totally not done. Her father did not talk to her for ten years and my Mama's mama did not attend my Papa's funeral when he died. She knew how to hold a grudge this grand mother of mine...

We picked up the two feral kittens this morning at 11. They are ADORABLE! Two little boys. Sine it's Father's Day we thought we would name them after our Dads: Bobby and Alvin.
Kate's dad Robert has passed. And, my dad is Allen, though he's gone by Al his whole life. Alvin fits better for the kitten who is a Holy terror waiting to gain a few ounces. :)

It was either Bobby and Alvin, or because of the US OPEN being here this weekend, I thought Rory and Phil or McElroy and Mickelson, but call 'em Elroy and Mickey! Too fun.

KAY I know you had a great time at Julie's house for dinner - because you always do. Bet they are glad to be home! Was Malcolm glad to see you tonight? ((Big HUG)) ♥

I hope everyone had a wonderful Father's Day with their Dads, or thinking about them, with their sons who are Dads now...with your husband. It's a celebration all the way around.

♥ Love you all and offer prayers for those missing their Father tonight. Prayers for Sharon's friend Dana and THANKS for bringing our DANA MO home safely. Prayers for Paula to have a safe trip home from the beach.

Judie said...

Ha, I found you all! What a good detective I am.

Thank you, Steve. Sure hope you've had an enjoyable father's day.

Nice picture of your father, Hoda. Congratulations on your niece's engagement. Interesting both sons-in-law have the same first name. Also, well wishes for your brother-in-law's recovery.

Lynn, I do hope the NASA folks have some early retirement program. They should have something, I think.

Hey, Sharon. How's Mattie?

Going to kick back for a few. BBL

Hoda said...

Lori Congratulations Bobby and Alvin...I hope they settle in well and that there is no scratching...

wvgal_dana said...

Geesh Hoda that is quite a story. Your Mother didn't want to marry who her Mother wanted her to marry the cousin because the man your Mama wanted was not well off. So your Mother and your Papa eloped. Your Grandfather didn't talk to her for 10 years WOW that is a long time. So the marriage became a scandal in Egypt. So when you Papa passed your Grandmother would not go to his funeral. Still I guess she felt they shamed the family. My how different cultures have interesting and different ways of life.

Well I'm glad they eloped. They look like they truly loved each other ( :

wvgal_dana said...

Lori I see you picked up your two kittens. ( : Oh your going to enjoy them I just know it!!!

wvgal_dana said...

Judie you are a good detective. I think it has something to do with the type of classes you teach. lol

Kay said...

JUDY, the Lazy Song is apt for the way I felt today ! You go, Bruno, I like being able to understand the words and the catchy tune, beat and harmony are really good !

LYNN, NASA situation not only wrongx3, but sadx3. How is the jobs report ever going to improve with this kind of massive layoff. Years from now, when I'm long gone our country will wake up & spend trillions playing catch up in Space Technology. That technology has been of unestimable benefit to us all, medically, product wise....

The Perp in Dayton, a woman ? I must stop making assumptions, but hate to think women are striving for equality even in the performance of dastardly deeds ! This detective type girl will forward anything learned about this sick soul to you, LYNN !

Kay said...

HODA, how pleasant it is, in the midst of so much bad news, to hear about the joy of engagements, babies and beautiful love stories. You really should write a book---fictional or non-fiction, the life of you and your famly would be a fascinating read. Who do you want to play you in the movie that will follow ?

magpie said...

Hello Eagle Pals

Hoda, wonderful picture of your Father

Kay, I called you Key on one of my last posts on the old thread.
New Name, Key
Kind of has a nice ring to it
wait, I must think of a pun to go with this

hedgie said...

JudyE---many of us have been loving that video for a long time!! Good you shared it for other "newbies!"

Hoda, how very sad that your grandmother held that much ill-will for so long. Wow, your grandad was an important fellow! Were your grandparents in your life as you grew up? I'm sure it was a very difficult time for your mama, but LOVE triumphed for your parents, I'm sure!

Lori---love the names for the kitties! Hope they behave themselves!!! How is Kate doing? Is she back to work? Do your schedules jive so that the kitties won't be alone for long periods?? How are the dogs reacting to them??

magpie said...

Thanks for the New Thread Steve
Happy Father's Day

I hope you were treated like Royalty today ☺

magpie said...

I would like to place an order to see the Eagles tonight, please

I tip well !

Kay said...

SHARON, I know we all feel your pain. We think of Liberty every day, too. I do so hope he's out there somewhere finding a nice new life if it's impossible to come back to Belle. I don't think an eagle has ever been so loved by so many before.

magpie said...

on the Still Cam
After the first five seconds of the 30-second refresh
you can hit your refresh button, and sometimes, usually, you will get a more current image without having to wait 30-seconds

While we are waiting for the Live Feed to return to action

magpie said...

Best wishes with Bobby and Allen as they settle into your new roost, Lori...
or at least for awhile...
bedtime for your soon??

magpie said...

that would be, THEIR new roost, sorry, that's what I meant to type, Lori

hedgie said...

Right you are, Kay, about the NASA situation. And quite frankly, for the gov't. to depend on other countries to get our people and supplies to ISS is downright stupid and insane. The astronauts should refuse to travel in a foreign built---probably substandard---transport.
Judie, they were interviewing some employees who are trying to sell their homes.....I imagine that if they are under retirement age, they can't draw pension monies until they reach it.

magpie said...

Oh Marylanders!
Your State Flower is blooming here in West Virginia:
Black-Eyed Susans ! ☺

and I saw a pile of orange butterfly weeds plants along 522 North between Berkeley Springs WV and Hancock MD - Stunning !

hedgie said...

MARGY-----you just DID do a pun.....Key.....has a nice ring to it....!!!

Kay said...

MARGY, I took note of "Key" ! Perhaps it will help you with a pun to know that my Stan was a locksmith in his second career after retiring from copper mining. I often "made keys" for his large apartment or commerical jobs. I can do a better job of it than the average hardward or variety store clerk can ! Stan held the key to my heart and it won't be given out to anyone else, ever !

magpie said...

It's a travesty, Lynn, what your posted about NASA
UNAmerican, in my opinion...

Hoda said...

magpie said...

Hoda said...

Facing 10 position and turned around to face six position

hedgie said...

OUCH!!! Liesl was chewing on her ragged doggy toy on top of my foot----and missed it! She didn't break the skin, but it didn't feel too good!!!

magpie said...

Eagle !!
Remember that 5-second refresh trick !!

NatureNut said...

Happy Father's Day, Steve!!!

We finished dinner I vooked for Fubby. Steak, mashed garlic potatoes and asparagus. He loves the a's, so I went to grocery for fresh ones to boil. NONE! Had to get canned, but they were OK.
Also got a few more flowers. Have been waiting for that fleabane to croak. I wanted to use that pot for a perrenial. It's still alive, so transplanted it to smaller pot!Noticed that the little stinker hummer went to fleabane first, then every flower on the lantana. I didn't have camera, but was no sun shining on his red throat anyway. He's a tease.
BTW, both tomato plants have 3 babies each!!!!

Hoda said...

Now under the leaf section head not visible only tail and turns around and head pops up

Hoda said...

In centre of nest digging in old cup area

Hoda said...

I guess that means the camera is workingLOL!!!

magpie said...

Repeating:
after the first 5 seconds of the new refresh on the 30-seconds
you can hit your refresh button and get a more current image instead of waiting the full 30-secs

Jo discovered that, it works most of the time !!

magpie said...

Hi Loretta -
See the Eagle

Hoda said...

Truder looks up facing one position and back to digging in the old cup area

magpie said...

no mistaking that SPOT

magpie said...

JudyEddy said...

Jusst got out of the JOHN and see an eagle I guess the cam is working cool beans light on

JudyEddy said...

Nice to know that they still are there

Hoda said...

Moves back towards the leaf facing camera, and now is hidden behind the leaf except for his head and part of his tail. Camera changed to night vision and harder to see him contrast white on white

Hoda said...

I think he is gone as I do not see him at all

Kay said...

LORI, you are going to have a blast with Bobby and Alvin--cute and meaningful names !

Yes, the dinner at Julie's was dee-lish. Seth met me in the front yard and Julie said when Malcolm picked up on my voice he began to whimper. Then he gave me the appropriate twirling and wiggling welcome. A lot of joy comes bundled up in that one little mutt ! Fun to get in on the details of their trip while they are still excited about it. No negatives, all positives and Seth loves Philly and D.C.. He amazed his parents by running up the "Rocky steps" at the art museum. I can hardly believe it ! My miracle boy continues to amaze !

magpie said...

Congrats on the Tomato Babies...

I counted mine
have five on one plant
three on the other

Lolly said...

Hi all! Happy Father's Day to Steve!!

Hoda, glad you talked with your family and how wonderful to have your niece engaged. Loved your family story.

Lori, know you are enjoying your kittens. A riot, I am sure. When we took Annie to the vet, a lady came in after us with kittens she was fostering. I would get so attached and want to keep them. However, no kittens for us as long as Annie is still with us. Also, I want to go back to Siamese. I miss having a Siamese, my favorite. I have never posted the picture of all our Siamese kittens. Have to do that some day.

Hoda said...

MARGY thanks for the refresh tip I much appreciate it. It was good to see him and know that the camera is working.

magpie said...

Sorry about the chewing mishap with Liesl, Lynn !

JudyEddy said...

MAGPIE thanks for placing the order for the eagle tonight It worked LOL

magpie said...

Yep Judy
My TIP is in the Mail !
Wish it would work for plural, Eagles...not just singular, Eagle though

DanaMo said...

aw, thanks for the prayers, Lori. That was very sweet of you!

JudyEddy said...

AHH The KEY KAY story so sweet

magpie said...

Yeah,Hoda
Jo discovered a real prize on that one!

Once in awhle, there is no change, but usually, yes....sometimes waiting that 5 seconds seems like forever but it does seem to work better like that...waiting the 5 secs

magpie said...

there was a looong time when I could not get the live feed to go here for me back in the winter months so I relied very heavily on my old pal, the Still Cam ☺

NatureNut said...

Phooey, I missed the eagle on my still cam. It's about 3 minutes slower than 'puter time.

Sharon, hope everything will be good for you and Mattie.
We didn't get 1 drop of rain today.

magpie said...

Awesome Cardinal Avatar, by the way, and nice sentiment you put with it...your father's favorite bird ♥

Kay said...

MARGY, thanks for the still cam refresh tip ! I'm not promising to be up early as I'm kind of wondering if I'm finally on track toward keeping the retirement hours I really want, which are 7 a.m. to 11p.m.. However, if I am up I will most certainly be at SSCC with my beloved Early Birds. ♥♥♥♥ Plus 7 could still get me in on some of the nest action and interaction with LORI and others.

Lolly said...

Had to go to Pets Smart today to get cat food. That place was a circus, and so many dogs! Wow!

Also, bought more groceries for the trip. Slowly but surely.....

It continues to be so hot here. It is accentuated with strong wind. Nothing quite like HOT air hitting you in the face.
It is just so drying, a struggle to keep plants alive. They want to shrivel up!!

magpie said...

I did take some pictures, Loretta, off the Still Cam, will go post them now...xoxo

NatureNut said...

Hoda, thx for pic of your Father. Very interesting family story!

Hello,

Watching a Star Wars movie with Kathryn and Hunter. We were about to watch a romantic comedy, but decided it is not appropriate for Hunter, though he said it is about a hot girl, as he has already seen the previews.

Kathryn is having problems with TMJ, and decided to go to a clinic this evening. She came home with Vicodin, 800 mg Motrin, and Xanax.

She is going upstairs now while she is able to.

magpie said...

Hi DanaMo

Glad we had a nest visit tonight.

Kay keep us informed on what you detective skills find out.

That is just NOT American for our astronaut's!!!!

Margy sure has tomato plants blooming and putting out pool size balls.

Lolly I know it is dry here too. Your plants and ours need rain!!!

Kay said...

LORETTA, can you drink full octane coffee at this time of night, or is it decaf ? Sweet story about the hummer and the fleabane and lantana. Congrats to the tomato family, too ! ☺

wvgal_dana said...

Shirley tell Kathryn I am sorry for the pain TMJ causes. I think with that medication she might go to sleep.

SHIRLEY, they really loaded Kathryn up ! Pay attention if you hear her stumbling around during the night ! Hope the meds help. Too funny about Hunter and the "hot girl" comment. Sounds like you have a red blooded American boy growing up there !

NatureNut said...

Dad and Binky, older cat, were playing fetch w/new mousie. Then she thru it down the basement steps and went down to fetch it herself!

NatureNut said...

Kay, yes I can drink coffee any time---I feel 1/2 asleep most of the day anyway! LOL Or maybe that's senile citizenship!

Shirley, prayers for Kathryn's comfort
pretty funny, the Hot Girl comment from Hunter, 'fraid I have heard the same kind of thing from James

How about Hot Grandmothers ??
LOL ☺

Hoda said...

hedgie/Lynn, I have a strange relationship with my maternal grandparents...as a young person I was always afraid of making mistakes because they would pick on them when we were visiting after the ten year isolation. Once grandfather invited Mama to return and she brought her children to their hous I always felt uncomfortable because Papa could not come. The political situation had changed in Egypt and the King was overthrown and the Revlolutionary Council put us all under House Arrest and they actually raided our home when I was little at two in the morning and my Piggy Bank was confiscated as national treasure. We were released from the house arrest before my grand father as he was tried for corruption in his role as Minister of Agriculture. NONE OF THE CHARGES STUCK and he was found innocent. It took a long time and when we visited them I had such empathy and such sorrow for what was happening...so my relationship with them is very complex indeed.I never did get my piggy bank back and I still feel nervous about how fast political situations can change and how that alters life.

Kay said...

Golly, I haven't been able to drink coffee past 10 in the morning for years. Back before my Diabetes II days I couldn't even eat the coffee ice cream I loved past about 7 p.m.. Guess I'm easily wired!

Hoda said...

Yes STRONGHUNTER, Truder sightings were through the Still Cam. The live feed is still down.

Kay said...

HODA, like I said, you really must write a book and I'm sure there is a movie in your story as well. So, I ask again, who do you want to play you--the adult you---that is, in the movie ?

NatureNut said...

Shirley, hope Kathryn feels better.

Margy, my calendars say 21st is the 1st day of solstice!!??If they want you to stay outside, better have sunscreen!!! I go to Park that day. Will probably be mostly inside, but I do go out a lot & leave door open to hear phone. They have stupid untouchable AC set on 72° & my arms freeze half the day. I'm tired of wearing jacket, but it's in the car in case!
BTW, Sat. I noticed Baltimore Orioles some more out that door. Instead of being in the tree tops, they were flying from lower trees to some across the road. Maybe a nest? What is neat is that one of our visiting lady pals w/BIG camera came by & said she's only seen one once, as I had before this May. On cue, one flew into a puddle in the grass so we could get pictures!

Hoda said...

Margy, Tuesday here speaks for 81 degrees F and the low is 54F. I will believe it when I see it, it does speak for sun and no rain...is it possible???
Thank you for the Solstice information.Mema Jo contributes many gems and the refresh on five seconds is but one of her very many.

Lolly said...

Yes, Hoda has had a very interesting life. LOL Kay, I will go to the movie!!!

Lolly said...

I am thinking about reading this evening. However, I am alredy feeling sleepy.

stronghunter said...

Margy, I did not ask Hunter for a definition of a "hot girl." Sometimes they are confused about these things, so maybe I should have asked him.

He gave a brief summary of the hot girl movie and agreed with his mom that it is not an appropriate movie for him. He is much more interested in Star Wars and he wanted to be sure that is what we were going to watch.

Hoda said...

STRONGHUNTER I hope Kathryn feels better soon.Prayers come her way...

stronghunter said...

Wow, you had some experiences in your childhood, Hoda. Pretty sad when the government seizes a child's bank for the national treasury.

stronghunter said...

Thanks, Hoda.

Funny thing, the doctor asked her how she knew about TMJ, and she explained that her mother has had it.

It comes and goes. I have not been bothered with it for awhile.

Hoda said...

O KAY how so very sweet of you...a book and a movie out of my life story??? I can hardly imagine it. As to who would play me I laugh so hard I have no clue...You are very sweet...

Kay said...

LOL, SHIRLEY ! Sometimes it's best to just let things like "the hot girl" comment go by. Reminds me of the old joke where a kid asks his dad where he came from. Dad figures, okay, this is it and gives his kid the long version of the birds n' the bees. When he finished his kid said, "Oh, just wondered because Billy says he came from Chicago."

stronghunter said...

I think I mentioned before that one of my college friends suggested a trip to Egypt this summer, just as things were getting stirred up there. I think she had not watched the news that day.

We will not be going to Egypt this summer.

I would like to travel at some point in my life, but I need to figure out how retirement is going to be first. Also, I will be busy with Hunter.

magpie said...

Hoda said...

Stronghunter, Egypt is to hold their elections in September. I think things will continue to be unstable before and after...good decision to not go there right now I would say...

Of course, it is more than an anniversary, because the separation period will be coming to an end and the divorce will be final. She still has to get things out of the house. The terms of the divorce also have to be set up. Things have not been put into writing yet. Child support is not set, for example.

about SHREDDING!
Sometimes Office Max (or a similar type store) will take shredding, and sometimes the banks do....
maybe for a small fee, either place

It would be most exciting to assist you, Lynn, in helping Hoda write a book.

stronghunter said...

Hi Paula! Welcome home.

Hoda said...

STRONGHUNTER prayers come your way,Kathryn's way and also Hunter's way. Yes difficult times and yet she is not alone and being your daughter she is too a STRONGHUNTER. When all this is settled I hope she finds the strength to pick up her life and find her inner peace.

hedgie said...

Hot girl comment reminds me of gd Jenn at 7 telling her daddy she wanted to wear the same shirt a second day in a row to school...he said no and asked why. She told him that a boy in her class told her it made it her look sexy! He did NOT ask her what that meant! LOL.

Judie said...

Shirley, hope Kathryn will be feeling better soon. Meds will help her sleep and that can be a blessing.

A friend of mine was talking with her nine-year-old grandson about marriage -- he brought up the subject. She asked him what he would be important in a wife and he replied "She has to be hot."

Lori, love the kitten names. Have fun with them.

Lolly, sorry about the drought. Rain dance being done for your part of the world.

Hoda, fascinating life history. I hope you have these memories recorded somewhere for others to learn both family and cultural history.

It seems that once again the sandperson has arrived and so it is time for me to head for the pillows.

The night light is on for Kathryn (in case she wakes in the night), for Jo headed back the hallway, to Lynn headed to the tub, to Shirley headed either up the stairs or to the recliner, and to those who may stumble in from the West Coast. Restful sleep for all.

hedgie said...

T-h-e-r-e'-s PAULA!!! Glad you are home safe and sound.

Where's Jo????

Hoda said...

Welcome home Paula, DID you finish painting your closet??? Glad the road was good for you...

stronghunter said...

I do have to head upstairs now. I am getting very sleepy. Kathryn picked up some Benadryl in case she would have trouble sleeping tonight, but, obviously she will not need it. I don't really think I will need it either, but maybe I will take it upstairs.

NatureNut said...

Time to watch the news~~~been editing some "critter" pics. Will add tomorrow.

Pleasant Feather Dreams & good health to all ;>)

stronghunter said...

Nightlight--Kathryn keeps the television on all night to serve as a nightlight. The flickering would drive my crazy. We tried sharing a room for awhile and I could not endure that.

She spares me when we share a hotel room, like when were at Shepherdstown.

I like it completely dark in my bedroom.

stronghunter said...

She turns off the sound.

hedgie said...

Hoda....84° tomorrow? WhooHoo! Know you will love that---IF it happens!

Looks like rain is getting close to us.....it's already reached Winchester. :( Flash flood watch issued, too. Good grief! We don't NEED any more rain.

hedgie said...

Margy---know you do a lot of mailing...any idea what an 8.5x11 manila envelope with two pages of newspaper in it would cost to mail? Think 2 stamps would do it? I am sending Norma the pages from today's Journal about WV.

Just wanted to pop in and let you know we had a great weekend! But there was quite a bit of rain. We got a lot done, and still had a bit of fun!

We just got back about an hour ago, unpacked, etc. and now it's time for bed. I'll try to do some catching up in the morning, but I hope everyone is well!

Lynne2 said...

oh, and NO bears.

hedgie said...

Hot, humid week ahead here.

News almost over, and then to tub I go. Good night, sweet friends. Prayers for all.

paula eagleholic said...

Glad you are home safe and sound as well, Lynne. We had rain all this morning until about 2 this afternoon...good for down there, it's been pretty dry.

I was shopping at Lowe's while it was raining ☺

hedgie said...

Oh, good, Lynne---you all are home, too!! Sorry no bears. :(

Hoda said...

Welcome home Lynne 2. I am glad you enjoyed your weekend.

Hedgie, 84 is on Tuesday, first day of summer or so they say...

Welcome Home Paula ☺
Welcome Home Lynne ☺

Lynn, give me a minute, I will give you that postage info

magpie said...

Lynn:
To be on the safe side, Lynn
$1.08
That is for two ounces on a 8 1/2 x 11
I put two pages in, single
and it is just at one ounce, so if you add a note, it might go over

but if you mean two single sheets...or even less, I think you can get by with $0.88
that is the minimum amount you can put on a large envelope, each extra ounce adds 20-cents

hope this makes sense, I mean cents

magpie said...

you might bet by with media mail rates, but, sometimes that means
NO ADVERTISING AT ALL

magpie said...

I think I would like to know what color that closet is, Paula!
wow, that is a dayful of rain

paula eagleholic said...

Hoda, glad you are finally getting some nice hot weather!!

magpie said...

Hedgie
I just put in the pages I think you are sending and it is teetering at one ounce...
that is REALLY SWEET that you are doing that...
If your envelope has one of those metal clasp thingys you could remove that and save a scootch on the weight...
of course I always have to factor in stickers and tape ☺!
I have stamps in all denominations these days...
do a lot of extra ounce mailing

I have a little weight-watchers scale I use for calculations

Hi, Everyone,
HAPPY FATHER'S DAY!

Wow, I finally got caught up on the blog! That took a while.

We had fun today. Took Hubby out to breakfast this morning. We got a call from our daughter, and had a nice talk. Heard from our oldest granddaughter, too.

Sis-in-law and Bro-in-law got home from Tokyo OK. They flew from there to Seattle, then into Los Angeles. Believe it or not, she has to go to work tomorrow! She was hesitant to take another day off, since she was gone for so long. The bulldogs were so excited to see them! She is coming over tomorrow after work, and has SO much to tell about their trip!

Before I forget, Judie, sorry to hear that you broke a tooth! Hope you are able to get a dentist appt.

Prayers for Mattie, too! Hope the finger is better soon!

Margy, thanks for the info about shredding. I'll check into that.

Lynn, sorry Liesl got you while chewing her toy. We're having all kinds of fun with Emma's latest chew toy. It's made by Nylabone, and is somewhat large, and very hard. When she drops it on your foot it really hurts! She likes the toy so much, though, that we can't bring ourselves to take it away from her!

Ms Bookworm said...

Hoda, you have certainly lived an interesting and sometimes difficult life. I think you should write a book, too! Love to hear your stories!
SO glad you joined our blog!
I like the picture of your Papa, too. I agree with Lynn--he does remind me of David Brinkley.

Well, guess I'd better try to get some sleep. Weekends go by so quickly! Prayers for everyone, especially those in need of healing.
Prayers for all creatures, too.

Making sure the porch light is on. Enabling both security systems. Sleep tight, and I will talk to you tomorrow. God bless, and goodnight!
Love all of you! :o]

Happy Aniversary Lolly and Jack tomorrow...how many years is it?

Prayers to all who have headed off to sleep...God Bless.

See you all tomorrow as I too will sign off and maybe do some reading before I call it a night.
See you tomorrow God Willing.

Read for quite a while and then fell asleep. Heading to the shower now.

Glad that our wondering Momsters are home. Happy to hear you had a good time, Lynne.

How much more painting to do, Paula. First you were fixing up your mother's house and now the beach house. You will not know what to do with yourself when you are finished.☺

Think tomorrow I will start hauling clothes to the trailer. Sort of hard to think of jeans, sweatshirts, and jackets! Getting anxious!

Night all! Sweet dreams!

paula eagleholic said...

Gotta hit the hay here....

Painting at beach house...just have the final coat in one bedroom...then one vanity, and the walls around another vanity (it is going to be removed and replaced with a different vanity)

Next weekend is kitchen cabinets and countertop and hot water heater

I'll take some pics next weekend.

Didn't do any beach today, it was a shopping and painting day.

Have to go through my pics and see what I got this weekend...didn't take too many.

Oh, my brother thought he heard the osprey chick peeping!

Gnite to everyone turning in!

((Hugs to all♥))

I hope all our Dadster Fathers had a great day. Father, Capt. Gene had a good day.
We took GG out to lunch after church and it was a treat to have Dustin with us. It's been so long since he has come to visit.

Sprinkling rain here, think I will hop into bed and lie there and listen to it:)
GOOD NIGHT AND GOD BLESS

Good Morning Early Birds! I was a late bird this morning waking up at 2:45. Whoa. So, I'm running seriously behind and haven't even caught up on the blog yet. Darn!

I don't think I'll be much help to you this morning, but will certainly try.

Welcome back KAY and DANA MO!

Lori O. said...

Live cam is still down. Head over the STILL CAM.

Kay said...

Morning gLORI, I'm here and have the still cam up and at em', too.

I'm guessing it was tough leaving Bobby and Alvin this morning. Will you keep them inside for their anti-feral training ?

Lori O. said...

Oh Kay, you're back with us! I've missed you.

Yes, Bobby & Alvin are in a huge crate and having a ball. They've never had toys before and food in front of them to eat whenever. They're very comfy.

Give me a few min. to get caught up and I'll be back in about 10.

♥♥♥

Kay said...

Happy Anniversary to our TCU Horned Frog and her Ramblin' Wreck from Georgia Tech !!!! Hey, Lolly, tell us how you and Jack met. I love a good love story ! ♥♥♥♥♥♥

Kay said...

LORI, I thought about doing a roll over for more zzz's, but knew I'd kick myself all over the back lot if I missed another day with you at SSCC ! {{{{{{{LORI}}}}}}}} How do you like my lovely tulips, do they look familiar ?☺

Kay said...

I know you're a photograper extrordinaire, so am looking forward to pics of those adorable kittens !

Kay said...

I guess I won't be able to tell if MARGY's tip for refreshing the still am is working until an eagle lands. The pic just grew brighter, but color is subdued.

Lori O. said...

Big Hug for you KAY! I'm so glad you're back...and DANA MO checked in yesterday too.

How did Malcolm react when he saw you at Julie's yesterday? Glad to see his Grandma?

Lori O. said...

KAY you avatar flowers look so pretty next to your name. I didn't do them justice! :)

It's raining here now but I can't tell if it's raining at the nest.

Kay said...

LORI, Malcolm gave me the same twirling, wiggling welcome that delighted his custodial family Saturday ! He was rewarded with lots of petting and hugging. Julie says he did some wandering around the house and had some puzzled looks as if he was trying to figure out what had transpired. I think he's a dog who longs to be in 2 places at once ! He's a joy !

DanaMo said...

GOOD MORNING! Where are our eagle friends this morning?

Kay said...

LORI, I had a sense of deja vu when writing that last post. Check out my post of 9 p.m. last night--just scroll up to that time.

Kay said...

Hi DANA ! They are, so far, being illusive. They graced the group with at least 3 visits yesterday. Here's hoping they join us soon !

Lori O. said...

KAY read 9pm post - sorry I woke up at 2:30 (instead of 1:20) this morning and haven't had time to catch up, but I was dying to know!

Hey, where's JUDYE?

Kay said...

The still cam has gone to a black screen on me twice in the last few minutes. Came back with "refresh".

Hoda said...

Good morning!!! I can not believe I am up. It is 2:30AM PDT in the monring. Just woke up and wondered if the eagles were on. NOT. I won't stay up I do not think...Have a good cup of coffee everyone I hope they get here soon...

Kay said...

LORI, no prob on the earlier post, I just wanted you to see it for further observation on the visit with Julie and the boys.

Last night JUDYE said she wasn't setting the alarm for an extra early wake up since we have no live cam. She also mentioned feeling queasy after having eaten Boston Market turkey, so hope she's okay this morning.

Kay said...

HODA, do go back for some more beauty sleep ! Not saying you need that, since you're beautiful already, but, the still cam doesn't quite have the same punch. We'll report on any Nestcapades as they happen.♥♥

DanaMo said...

Well I hope we get the live cam back up soon and that we get some visits. I miss seeing the eagles.

Just saw on the news that DC schools are having their last day today. WOW glad we didn't get out this late.

Kay said...

DANA, my grandson, Cooper, 16 lives Highland Park, NJ. His last day will be after finals sometime this week. That community has a large Jewish population and the kids are off on all their holidays, making it necessary to have a shortened summer. Wonder what the reason is in D. C. ?

DanaMo said...

I think DC goes back kinda late, maybe after labor day. Next year we will not go back until Aug. 29th which means we will go into the second week of June. It will help me this year since I will be taking Aric to University of Dayton. I will miss teacher work days, but not any student days.

Lori O. said...

How cool that HODA checked in - tho it really is the middle of the night for her. KAY, I wish you and HODA lived closer. :(

Kay said...

DANA, all my kids and grands will be in Columbus Aug.19-22 for a little reunion. Other than that my Aug. calendar is wide open. Here's hoping you and I can meet out on I70 for meal and visit as you travel through one way or the other.

Kay said...

Hey, Soul Sister, I wish we all lived closer together, too ! Just not meant to be, but so thankful for this nest and the eagles that brought us together !
