@paula eagleholic Thank you so much. I've done all of the design myself. I only put a few photos on the site itself because I use my galleries. If you want to look. http://http://turnmeyer.smugmug.com/Photography
Well I am feeling better and rested yes Thanks. I will come and go. Its hard to tell with me. One comment and I will go. I just need to sometimes. Another piece of info and i iwll brb :-).
Scott, Glo takes magnificent photos....she wins prizes. We also have Bob Quinn, who does the same!!! So many talented people. Our own late Deb, whose shot of Lib and Belle grace the front of the access screen to the blog, was fantastic, too. Loretta is another pro.....and Lori has super equipment that makes her shots awesome, too!!!!!
Golly, it was actually 2009 that I did the plaques for Open House!!! "I came for the eagles, but I stayed for the friendships I have made"-------that sums it up in a nutshell!!! To all newbies: you will never find a better bunch of people than right here. ALL great friends...and we are here for each other through thick and thin---whether it be eagles, or just LIFE as it happens to any and all!
Lynn, heart is with you even though we returned to VA this morning.
Lolly, read back too fast earlier. Thank you for the compliment but it was the costume, I think.
I see Belle in the nest but can't see what she is doing except putting her head down. Wish it might be food.
Sheetz -- well, it is the finest example of an upscale 7-11 I've ever seen! Stupid people told me they don't sell sheets. Will go to O'Hurley's next time.
I 'must' take a break - for reasons of mental and physical and emotional. I need rejuvenated & perhaps the sunshine and cool breeze will do just that...
Gotta break and call my youngest....haven't heard from her (or BACK from her) since Weds. evening....would have been nice to have her support through all of this turmoil....KIDS!!
Scott, just thought maybe through the business community your paths could have crossed. Know they've done a lot of school photography in Winchester, too.
No luck.....not home.....she might be working. Carolyn had her first 12-hr. shift today....on until 8PM.....and they HAVE been busy. Lots of fires...guess because of the wind. Lots of dummies doing "controlled" burns that got out of control. ARGH!
Just got link to Scott's pics and gallery!!! Wonderful work! You need to meet Bob Quinn, another real pro. I am not a pro, just love to try my best to get mostly nature pics to share. I don't understand all those fancy settings & nature doesn't give me time for much adjusting! I've never seen the nest from off campus, but I'm sure you can get good pics w/your equipment.
:-) MeMa JoI 'must' take a break - for reasons of mental and physical and emotional. I need rejuvenated & perhaps the sunshine and cool breeze will do just that..
Gosh do I ever understand that statement. Probably kept me well sort of sane yesterday. Its beautiful here today. Yard has lots of birds and even a chipmunk has re appears. Dex and i have laready strolled and been in the yard. Tonight might see the Marina at twilight.
For those of you with cameras its Super Moon tonight. You just might want to take a peak and maybe even some photos :-).
I took osm eo fthe moon last night as it was clear and well tonight might be cloudy but so far so good. Living in the City its harder for me to get that "desitred moon and landscape shot", but one of my/our favorite places to be is the Marina. Might give it a try.
Hedgie Speaking of kids neither of mine know about nest happenings this week either: son would care but he stresses if Mom is stressed so I spared him. Daughter would listen but inside she doesn't quite understand my passion for eagle cams. Oh well SIGH.
Scott Hedgie is very kind and even though i do understand many of the camera settings I am not a pro , but I do have several mentors who are and they have taught and continue to teach me a lot. I do live where eagles migrate along the Mississippi in the winter so I do have great access to eagles and Pr photographers at the same time. Sometimes I do actually outscore them at my local camera club competitions. Thats fun and i htink they kind of thake osme pride in knowing they invited me and mentor me so they must be doign something right too. Love photography indeed. My photos are on Glo' Glimpses, one of my Blogs.
I think you are all kind giving her any kind of name. I know she is a bald eagle doing her bald eagle thing BUT not here at this nest with this pair!!!!! She needs that message.
oh Scott, I am quite the photographer myself....I see no one remembered me. HUMPH. Yea, I take great out of focus, uncentered pictures......... on my BOTTOM OF THE LINE cheap digital camera! LOL!
Is this one of the cutest babies we've had, or what? Propped up on it's wings, trying to look over the edge of the cup...turning his head from side to side, looking for Momma:)
LOL Lynne You know we all love anything anyone wants to share with us. Cameras speak a persons heart in many many ways more than just a sharp photo with a super duper cam and lens etc.
Maybe Lib is acting like a is the word decoy to draw her away from the nest and give belle a chance to care for both her own and PJ's needs. WE can hope. sind intruder won't let him bring the food maybe lurring her away will give Belle more of a chance.
LOL Scott!!! Actually, some of my pics turn out pretty good. I have some good ones on my blog along with some not so good ones! Someday, I'd love to have a better camera! Nothing fancy like you have, but something with a better zoom, and better really close close ups.
Had to do some email, so of couse checked here! See Belle is gone again, but read Robyn is watching & thinks Belle is up in tree!!! Sure hope so.(Get minnow from pond, plzzzzz!) I forgot to say I put POJ pic on my blog from when Belle took off 2 hours ago. What a strong little sweetie. And we are not supposed to get emotional about nature, are we?? LOL
Guess she is back in nest wish I had my xoom now so small I need to keep scrolling and missed her fly to nest. I can stay a bit longer ooo a cute jogger :)
roflmbo...Lynne!!! I laughed so hard I got tears! Maybe my emotions are just so on edge!
Scott....welcome! You really need to go to Glo's Glimpses blog. She has some fantastic photos. We love Bob Quinn's photos as well. My most favorite though is the one of Deb's taken from near the base of the tree. The one on the homepage of the blog.
Welcome to all newbies. Jennifer, I felt the same way at first. I lurked and did not want to intrude. Everyone seemed to know each other so well. I finally got nerve up to speak. LOL That was three years ago! I am in Texas but I have been to the nest two times now and met most of these "momsters". Some, I have not met but I feel like I have!
I've been here off and on today, I don't think when I read back that Trudy Hussy has been seen in the nest today, right? And has there been any other sign of her? I saw one screaming episode by Belle much earlier today.
I sure don't know, but if Trudy has been in area for a few, shouldn't she have of course eaten there? And if so, would it still be a problem to bring food to nest???I wouldn't think she would steal it if she's not hungry.Don't know. Perhaps the problem is having her chase Lib or Belle if they go to grocery. Just some thought & ???s I really need to do stuff~~~ ☺
TJ said that the baby could live 2 days without food, maybe 3. We are at 2.5 days now. He seems pretty strong though! ANd I think I read back that someone has proven there has been growth? Sure looks like it. So I am back to my I think there is carrion somewhere and she is bringing tiny pieces back. Eagle will eat carrion....the dead deer in the way outback field here drew the eagle this past winter.
the more experienced egg watchers think the unhatched egg is no longer viable, bev. I tend to think so as well. Too many long periods of time over the last few day without incubation. Also, there is a good possibility, although we'll never know for sure, that Paddy was the SECOND egg, not the first.
Iris, Loretta had the info about ordering the book!!! I'll email it to you! BTW----with Easter being so late this year, you are really getting extra FL time!!!
IMHO (in my humble opinion), eggs are laid days apart, thus hatch days apart. So this egg still has a chance to hatch. But I too am concerned at the long periods of no incubation. Also, in 3 days, I have seen Belle rotate the egg only once.
Well, I learned from many nests ,never say never. We have had some strange things at falocn sites.
Eggs unattended for 11 days and then hatched. As long as egg does not get too cold. Belle might have deliberately delayed the hatch due to circumstances. If this chick was number 1 then a hatch today or tomorrow is not out of question. Our biolgists say, never try to guess what they are doing, as they will prove you wrong every time.
bev, the trashcan is so you can delete your comment if you need or want to!!!
Lynne, I'm doing as well as can be expected......sad, but also relieved. I know I did the right thing...but it's lonely....and if I stop and think about it, I cry. And know I will for a few days. I did get some good kisses, finally...and that's really all I wanted from her all this time---to at least think that she liked me. They promised that she will NOT be euthanized. They've placed others similar to Mai successfully with very active (athletic) people!!
Glo....LOL.....Christie thinks O spend too much time on the puter and worrying about our birds anyway! Carolyn on the other hand is now very interested, since Margy got hold of her and started showing her cams at work!!!!
When we are looking up , where our falcons nest on buildings, some people have asked us if someone is getting ready to jump LOL I would love to humor that question, but I let it go.
One of our watchers, when someone asked me, that yelled JUMP!!!
I loved teaching Lynne2, and I do miss the kids but not the politics. I sub taught for a lot of years and went back full time when my girls were out of school. I was the chauffeur to the swimming pool(competive swimming)
We will see if I get the latte Hedgie LOL He is a sweet man.
Hi everyone! Now that I have lurked here for over 2 years, I have to tell you that you are the best group I have ever found. I have learned so much about eagles from all of you and seen so much love and prayers! This is the first time I have posted but I do not plan on it being my last.
Welcome Carolyn Glad you came out of lurking. Yes it is by far a great place to be. Only being at the nest is better but then its like 1000 miles for me, so have only gotten there once so far.
I love NOrfolk eagles Scott. I donate every year for Buddy. I have their calendars and coasters and they send pictures of Buddy. I watched them for 3 years.
I have been trying to get Duanes book. do you live close to there.
this year I have not had time to watch them. Life gets in the way sometimes.
I must say that after hearing some of the adventures of our other teachers on here...oh yeah, Lolly's daughter Laurel is a teacher too....WHEW...what a job! I have a whole new respect for teachers now!
@bev Yep, I just found them this year right after I found Belle and Lib...I was on a friend's boat in the Bay when I took that photo, but not too far from Norfolk. I'm planning on a trip back down there in a month or two...
Man, it sounds like the crows are on their way back to Canada also. Listen to them in the background Thanks Robyn for taking the time out of your day. got a Tuna sandwich you could accidentally drop. LOl
Well Scott If and when I get out that way again I want to also make my way to Norfolk.
Right now I am pretty tied at home unless I go someplace I can take my dog. He is quite old and very blind and as strange as it will sound does not let me out of his site without major stress on his part. so I stay close.
Lynn, I get about an extra week in FL this year... Easter is really late, but our weather here has been great for the arthritis! Makes me feel so fortunate to be able to do this.
Belle certainly looks much more relaxed doesn't she?
Hello, lovely eagle lovers. I, too, have been a lurker and am only posting now because I want to thank you for keeping me informed about Belle & Liberty. I don't have anything to add to this blog and I am at work a lot, so I don't feel like I'd be much of a contributor, but THANK YOU ALL for the love you share for these beautiful birds. I am praying that Ms Hussy has hit the road and will NOT return.
I am in Poca, WV, near Charleston. I have wanted to come to nest when you have had meetings the last few years but in October, I am always in VA doing a community service project. One of these days I will be there.
Scott, I looked at your pictures and they are absolutely wonderful.
I watch the Cathedral of Learning falcons bev. I check in on the Gulf birds, but only infrequently. The Cathedral of Learning is such a cool looking building.
...and I refreshed the screen and got my sound back, even though it's very whiney sounding (which I'll take over those horribly sad cries from Belle yesterday).
For what it's worth, I agree that Belle seems less agitated today. Maybe a good sign.
oh and Kathi, even if you are watching the nest and just pop on the blog here from time to time to report what you observed, that's a huge help! Even to just say "eagle sleeping".
Can someone explain to me why Belle won't quickly grab a fish for her & PJ? I know she is worried about Trudy but I would think she could be quick about it....what am I missing?
@Eagle-Eyed's Sissy I agree, you could see droplets of water to begin with be then it really looked like she was feeding something. POJ would even take a couple gulps when she did like it was trying to get it down.
Yes, I too, saw Belle for several minutes now appear to shake drops of moisture into Chicks beak. This following about an hour where Belle was on the nest cup.
Some birds do produce something called "crop milk" to then feed to the babies. But eagles are, supposedly, not a bird that can do this. And the food in the crop doesn't come back to the mouth to be swallowed into the stomach, as the crop empties directly into the stomach.
This is a most interesting phenom going on here....

@hedgie Great, thanks!!
Robyn, you got Jonathan's address??? I found our last contact letter. If you want me to send, should it go to your yahoo email address??
Went outside & now see Belle is back. Did she bring anything for POJ?
No I'm not at the nest area off the road today.
Looking through the binoculars about did my eyes in yesterday. Trying to watch from home here.

Scott, are you familiar at all with O'Roke Color Labs here in Martinsburg? Friend of mine is former owner.
Scott - gotta have the Rainbow
Parachute up and over the nest...lol
Belle gone again ???
Missed her departure
@Mema Jo - trust me, I can't tell you how many times I've thought of that in the past few days. :)
@hedgie - No, I'm not. I am about an hour or so from there.
PJ is looking around again.
PJ peeking out of the cup towards the cam...now up looking around.
Joy getting a good look around.

Just got link to Scott's pics and gallery!!! Wonderful work! You need to meet Bob Quinn, another real pro.

Hi I am at the tree I see an eagle on the top is Belle in next? If not she is the one in tree
@glo....that's great...I love the ones on that page.
That must be Belle on lookout....thanks Robyn!
Hi Robyn, Belle is NOT in the nest at the moment
Something landed in tree
No Robyn - Only egg and Joy in the nest
wonder where the Trucy bit...uh, bird, is
And just saw the tree shake after I posted
Anything flying near by, Robyn
Lynne, ROFLMAO
How about Trudy Hussy,lol
Robyn does it look like the eagle in tree is tearing at anything like food?
OK then that is belle up top. No sign of lib and intruder
LOL!
Trudy Hussy....LOVE it!
Is this one of the cutest babies we've had, or what? Propped up on it's wings, trying to look over the edge of the cup...turning his head from side to side, looking for Momma:)
Thank you Robyn! I posted that on the OD as well.
LOL Lynne You know we all love anything anyone wants to share with us. Cameras speak a persons heart in many many ways more than just a sharp photo with a super duper cam and lens etc.
LOL I feel like a stalker sitting here in truck binocs on the side of road
It does look like a crack in the egg, but surely not...just flugg. If that egg hatches, we can call chicklet "Houdini":)
@Lynne2 LOL...like they say, 1 photo out of focus is a mistake, 20 photos out of focus is a style. :)
See any adults, Robyn? None in the nest right now.
Maybe Lib is acting like a is the word decoy to draw her away from the nest and give belle a chance to care for both her own and PJ's needs. WE can hope. sind intruder won't let him bring the food maybe lurring her away will give Belle more of a chance.
Wanda, Paddy O sure looks like he is gazing up adoringly at his momma!
Carryon Robyn. stalk away. Hope you can stay for a while and let us know how things continue to go etc.
She is just looking around Wanda but still up top
LOL Scott!!! Actually, some of my pics turn out pretty good. I have some good ones on my blog along with some not so good ones! Someday, I'd love to have a better camera! Nothing fancy like you have, but something with a better zoom, and better really close close ups.
and thanks Glo!
Wanda, Robyn said Belle is above the nest.
Thanks Robyn, so glad yo are there. Hope Glo is right and Lib has lured Trudy Hussy away. Wish I was there with you!
Had to do some email, so of couse checked here! See Belle is gone again, but read Robyn is watching & thinks Belle is up in tree!!! Sure hope so.(Get minnow from pond, plzzzzz!)
I forgot to say I put POJ pic on my blog from when Belle took off 2 hours ago. What a strong little sweetie. And we are not supposed to get emotional about nature, are we?? LOL
Guess she is back in nest wish I had my xoom now so small I need to keep scrolling and missed her fly to nest. I can stay a bit longer ooo a cute jogger :)
How can we help it Loretta! It's just in our hearts!
I think PJ is looking up for mom and possible food.
I think Trudy Hussy is getting the hint.
Well keep on stalking gal ( :
Thanks Robyn.
this is a good sign as intruder was on top yesterday.
Now for LIberty.
Robyn, when I am at my falocn sites , I get all sorts of weird looks.
Peter and I just pull up anywhere and hop out and look with our binocs .LOL
Off for a bit
No Robyn, she hasn't returned into the nest yet.
Bless you, Robyn!!!
And Lynne, I think you take great pics, especially if you could get me & camera didn't break!!!
I've been watching for 30 minutes, chick has been alone, but perky. I like the name inTrudie Hussy for the intruder.
ROFLMAO!!!! Cute jogger!! LOL!
If I need bail money I'll call Jo lol. No sign of any eagles. At the moment
Hi Liz! Yes, Paddy O'Joy sure is a strong one!
Hey saw belle fly from below tree. Perhaps she grabbed a bite
roflmbo...Lynne!!!

Belle just cam down to the nest.
thanks Loretta, and you would NEVER break a camera!
She did not have any food.
Belle just came back and immediately settled her brood patch over nest cup. no food.
oh I sure hope so Robyn!
I've been here off and on today, I don't think when I read back that Trudy Hussy has been seen in the nest today, right? And has there been any other sign of her? I saw one screaming episode by Belle much earlier today.
Okay, I have caught up on the blog. Now to head back outside.
Belle has settled down on the egg cup.
Robyn, thanks for the reports.
I sure don't know, but if Trudy has been in area for a few, shouldn't she have of course eaten there? And if so, would it still be a problem to bring food to nest???I wouldn't think she would steal it if she's not hungry.Don't know. Just some thought & ???s
I really need to do stuff~~~ ☺
Glad I made you laugh Lolly!
WOW, I hear a Cardinal singing away now at the nest!
Thanks Robyn for the reports. I was hoping she was going to bring in some food.
I guess what I am getting at is, has it been calmer today than it has in the last 2???
Belle is back a'sittin'
Hear dogs barking at Robyn lol
TJ said that the baby could live 2 days without food, maybe 3. We are at 2.5 days now. He seems pretty strong though! ANd I think I read back that someone has proven there has been growth? Fell asleep at the computer... shame on me!
Thanks Lynn, I'll look all that up when I can... I appreciate it. If I hear from Chrissy or find the Blog book, I'll post it here too.
I hope they see LIb soon.
Belle moving straw all around. Maybe more rain coming later
Belle seems relaxed , on guard , but not agitated like yesterday.
Got to go and get lights for under the counter. I am ready to move to Belles nest. Kitchen renovation s, no fun. (Of course, I would bring fish)LOL
I hear a crow now
Do I hear crows?
hear a crow.and Belle is now looking up and around
She is looking at 3
Yes bev., I'm glad you said that because I was just thinking that she seems calmer at the moment, but not nearly as worked up as yesterday! GOOD!!
Hey, what are your dogs names?
My cam is running now for 49 minutes!
My doggies names are Harley and Sebastion. they are my heart .
Hubby still waiting for me to go to store LOl
I am waiting for Lib.
A crow settled up top but soon flew away nothing much happening at the moment
LOL bev., we have a lot of significant others who sometimes have to wait for us while we wait on our birds!!
You are a trooper Robyn. I do the same thing at falcon time.
My phone bills are so high, as I make lots of calls out of province and country.
Belle appears to be making nest bowl bigger. Can this mean another hatch is eminent????
and now she shuggles down.
Belle just aerated nest and then settled down her brood patch.
I could see egg and wakeful chick.
LOL, Robyn...call me---I'm a wee bit closer!
the more experienced egg watchers think the unhatched egg is no longer viable, bev. I tend to think so as well. Too many long periods of time over the last few day without incubation. Also, there is a good possibility, although we'll never know for sure, that Paddy was the SECOND egg, not the first.
Why do I have that garbage can thing under my posts???
My hubby had to become interested in falcons and Eagles or he would never see me once our season starts.
ONe forum calls him Mr. Bev.
Oh my someone pulled over and asked if I was OK. I'm not seeing anything but some strong winds blow by every now and than
(((((HUGS)))) LYNN!!!! How are you?
Iris, Loretta had the info about ordering the book!!! I'll email it to you!
BTW----with Easter being so late this year, you are really getting extra FL time!!!
it's so you can delete your post if you need to .
Bev, that would be for "trashing" ie deleting your comment! You can only delete your own comment.
thanks Robyn. Belle and Joy are snuggled, Belle looks pretty calm right now!
IMHO (in my humble opinion), eggs are laid days apart, thus hatch days apart. So this egg still has a chance to hatch. But I too am concerned at the long periods of no incubation. Also, in 3 days, I have seen Belle rotate the egg only once.

bev, the trashcan is so you can delete your comment if you need or want to!!!
Lynne, I'm doing as well as can be expected......sad, but also relieved. I know I did the right thing...but it's lonely....and if I stop and think about it, I cry. And know I will for a few days. I have heard the geese twice now in 5 minutes.
Thanks Paula.I saw it at mine and not at others and I thought , do I have potty mouth LOL
Well I guess we will have another wait and see like last year.
My boys are lying right beside me.
when the eagles call at Sidney, they start to bark LOl
Help me out Paula, as my simple one celled brain seems to be unable to retain the information...what day is this for the second egg?
LOL, Puddles does the same thing!! She doesn't do it as often now, think she's getting used to the sounds!
Today is day 39 for the second egg
ok, thanks Paula.
Yes if there is a dead deer laying somewhere or squirrel or rabbit or groundhog; ie almost anything. They will get pieces of it and bring to nest.
Robyn people would stop and ask me that also lol
I was looking back on when first egg was laid and if this is chick from that egg, it hatched on day 39.
so all is possible
Wind is picking up
Hubby just left for store LOL
I asked him to bring me a latte. Think I was pushing it ????LOL
Glo....LOL.....Christie thinks O spend too much time on the puter and worrying about our birds anyway! Carolyn on the other hand is now very interested, since Margy got hold of her and started showing her cams at work!!!!
Nothing happening saw about a dozen vultures fly over then flew back where they came from another 15 min and I need to head home to feed my chickie
When we are looking up , where our falcons nest on buildings, some people have asked us if someone is getting ready to jump LOL I would love to humor that question, but I let it go.
One of our watchers, when someone asked me, that yelled JUMP!!!
wow bev., you are a retired teacher! Shirley (Stronghunter) and Judie, and newbie Jennifer are teachers, and Lolly is a retired kindergarten teacher!
bev.....you MIGHT have pushed it with the latte!!!! ROFL.
Loving how relaxed it is at the nest today...
New profile pic, forgot I had this one, taken last summer near Norfolk.
I watch a falcon cam in Pittsburgh (I'm from that area) but I have been neglecting it over the last few days with all going on at this nest.
@Carolyn....hello to a fellow newbie...
Hi Carolyn and welcome!! What part of the world are you in?
Man, it sounds like the crows are on their way back to Canada also. Listen to them in the background
Thanks Robyn for taking the time out of your day.
got a Tuna sandwich you could accidentally drop. LOl
Well Scott If and when I get out that way again I want to also make my way to Norfolk.
Right now I am pretty tied at home unless I go someplace I can take my dog. He is quite old and very blind and as strange as it will sound does not let me out of his site without major stress on his part. so I stay close.
wow, I've got one hour and a half on the cam!
I follow Gulf Towers at Pittsburg. I did late night duty on cam last year when they lost their first female. Talk about miracles there.
When Hubby retires again(he went back to work) I have a bucket list to visit most of the sites, I watch on the cams.
Has anybody else lost the audio?
HI Kathi! Welcome, and don't even think for a second you have nothing to contribute...that's just crazy talk! Please drop in again!
I was hearing wind, and I don't any more. Hmmmm.
My audio is going on and off- that happens with this cam sometimes.
@Carolyn - thank you so much.
@glo - I completely understand that.
Has anyone here taken the Potomac Eagle Scenic Railroad
(http://www.potomaceagle.info/)? If so, thoughts? Thanks in advance.
I watch the Cathedral of Learning falcons bev. I check in on the Gulf birds, but only infrequently. The Cathedral of Learning is such a cool looking building.
Thanks, Lynne2! :)
...and I refreshed the screen and got my sound back, even though it's very whiney sounding (which I'll take over those horribly sad cries from Belle yesterday).
For what it's worth, I agree that Belle seems less agitated today. Maybe a good sign.
Some guys like to be PUSHED...like to feel like they are doing something 'special'. Just don't over-do it!LOL
I think I remember a post from and OC person regarding the sound. Something about it going out every so often and to just wait, it would be back.
Belle seems to be watching something.
yes, I beleive it's a good sign! Now if only by tomorrow things would be back to normal with Lib back with some food!
hedgie, I got my latte LOL
awww, so glad you got it bev.!
Off to make hubby something to eat, bbl.
Anyone else have a sore throat and cough?
Belle calling. I hope it's for Lib!!
Belle calling out!
Something just landed in the tree
Something landed in tree again
Scott, we did the Potomac eagle train a couple of years ago....pretty cool.
I bet Robyn is already gone....
I do have sound Kathi!
Belle up off Joy, towards the back of the nest. Joy is peeping. Belle leaning in towards chickie.
Well that looks like water from Belle's mouth...I saw a drop fly.
Is that a pip in the egg?
Touching beaks. Belle shaking head~~maybe she has some moisture for Paddy.
wow- no doubt Belle is giving the chick water- I saw some fly off when she shook her head.
I think I better make an extra special meal when this kitchen is all done.
Belle is looking up and now her soft sound.
I hope LIb is near.
She is calling again. and looking toward 9
Oh no , she lowered he head a bit. and is now looking out to 5
She is up now and youngster is peeping and she is beaking.
I am really trying to see if anything is going in the wee beak.
I wish I could see what she was seeing.
Belle does not appear stressed, just watchful
So did I, Paula. She must have Gerd...no regurgitaing eagles:) LOL
ANd yeah, look at the egg, hole or dirt?
oh and Kathi, even if you are watching the nest and just pop on the blog here from time to time to report what you observed, that's a huge help! Even to just say "eagle sleeping".
I swear it looks like she is feeding POJ something!
Scott, you can prebuy tickets for the train. Good idea to do so, they sell out quickly.
Can someone explain to me why Belle won't quickly grab a fish for her & PJ? I know she is worried about Trudy but I would think she could be quick about it....what am I missing?
The chick is jumping towards Belle's beak!
this is just amazing!
With the cam on full screen, you could see the water coming from Belle's beak.
Hi,
Even using my magnifying glass to see if anything is being fed to Joy. I do not see anything.
I thought I saw something land in tree also but could have been a crow or something, as Belle is not upset.
I see the egg, too.
Kathi, maybe Belle will not leave the chick to hunt.
Belle is sometimes shaking her head then taking her beak to the chicks beak. So Belle is feeding her something????
@Eagle-Eyed's Sissy I agree, you could see droplets of water to begin with be then it really looked like she was feeding something. POJ would even take a couple gulps when she did like it was trying to get it down.
Well I think Belle has surpassed all information known about eagles. Cause Belle is regurgitaing some kind of food and feeding PJ !!!
So here is some more "new information" that the biologist are going to have to change lol
Yes, I too, saw Belle for several minutes now appear to shake drops of moisture into Chicks beak. This following about an hour where Belle was on the nest cup.
Yes, I agree. On full screen, it looks like something is being fed to the chick.
And Candy is an aide in kindergarten!!!
I'm home, I didn't see Lib or dirty bird, perhaps she finally gave up and Lib is making sure she is gone for good before he returns home?
And now after several minutes of giving moisture to chick, Belle has settled her brood patch over nest cup again.
