It really seems to late this year for them. They also have to go through bonding and courting. Have not seen a lot of that. But who knows, they have worked on the nest together.
PAULA great video I wasn't for sure if anyone was recording so I took out my camera and video it from my monitor, geeky huh I love all you updates at the end of evening and in bold makes it easier to find Thanks to all you and everyone does on this blog I have also posted your on the face book page I hope you don't mind Night one and all God Bless this nest and all who watch it
In all seriousness though, I don't understand if Eagles mate for life why with Lib still in the picture would she even be paying attention to the intruder. Like what would cause her to do that? Just pondering...
I think we are all trying to figure that one out, DanaMo. It seems that they do not necessarily mate for life. We're learning a few things with the eagle cams.
New things have been learned through the bear cams, too. Just ask Jack Hanna. He got caught in a mistake on bear hibernation thanks to the Lily cam.
This was embedded in the text of the Bear report.....if you missed it, you MISSED it....so cool! Bet we all remember Highlights mags, don't we???!!! Good site to keep for reference!! Think we've heard most of these!
Gadzooks!! Saw some TV, had din din, been fixing pics from last couple weeks & haven't even downloaded the other camera. Working on ospreys, haven't touched eagles yet! Arrgghh!
Another osprey tidbit from naturalist Greg who does all the banding~~~"they love black plastic garbage bags!!" And wouldn't you know, our cam birds have one partially in nest well! I'll put that pic on for now ☺ Gotta see news & for all those hitting the hay, Pleasant Feather Dreams ;>)

«Oldest ‹Older 1001 – 1028 of 1028Robyn, that blog link says Loch Garten. I see that Chrissy has been on there. But here is the one she gave me:
Wildlife Village
I think Rudy hasn't figured it out yet. He has some things to learn. Maybe needs a sex-ed class?
I just texted the other teacher and she said "LOL!!! I can't believe how dumb we are! That's cute"

Maybe he's too young for sex ed!
Maybe Rudy is trying to do the hokey-pokey instead of hanky-panky. Tee-hee.
Hedgie yes it says Loch Garten up top but the blog is Loch of the Lowes, it is all or majority of discussion on Isla and her nest
Well, I think he is a teeny-bopper.

It could take months before Belle would HP with the Intruder. Right now, they just seem to be playing house.
Ok back to international trade and open economy macroeconomics...
Ugh!
LOL! Yeah...teeny bopper sex...hmmm. I think Belle would be a little disappointed!
Interesting to watch.
I have no experience watching an eagle courtship. I've only been on this blog for a couple of years.
We're all learning so many new things from this opportunity to watch the nests this way.
LOL, Shirley.....and JUDIE covers the University part!!!
Belle is no teeny-bopper. Don't know what she sees in this kid.
But I am trying to understand it from an eagle's perspective.

guess we'll really never know...
I think Rudy would fit into Judie's "wanna-be adult" category.
For those who would like to see I just added pictures of quilts I made to my blog.
