Hi, Everyone, Thought I'd better check in here before there's a silver alert!
Was VERY sleepy yesterday, so took a series of panda naps. As a result, didn't sleep much last night, so have been napping again today. Schedule's all messed up.
Emma is keeping me busy today--she's taken the last of her pain meds, and as a result is hyper as all get-out! Difficult to keep her from jumping and trying to take off running full speed! Don't want her pulling loose any internal stitches! One more week to go....
Gosh, sorry to hear of the eagle that was shot and killed. If they catch whoever did it, I think they should just take them out and shoot them!
Gosh, need to go get some lunch. Hope I can catch up when I get back!
Chrissy sent this email: NOPE!! this is not Y7 The Laird,, the intruder in in the front of the photo Isla is the bird at the back,,,, Isla flew in, landed and this FEMALE came in a split second later,, she didn't so much land as fall with a wallop,, she stayed on her belly with wings low and in the submission pose,, Isla didn't attempt to fight or rebuff this very young female,, they looked at one another and in seconds Isla flew off again leaving this young bird on the nest to recover,,, she was in a rather poor state,, I think she had just made her migration and landed on Isla's nest,, not being able to fly another inch,,
This young bird got her breath back then preened for awhile and came round bit by bit,,,
I checked her all over time and again,,, and your not going to beleive this again folks,,,, remember me telling you that several years ago that Angus had landed badly on the nest with a delivery and fell onto one of his daughters,, we all thought he had broken her right leg ,, but all he did was bend her middle talon on her foot,, leaving it to remain in a "S" shape,,, WELL last year if you remember the same thing happened Isla recieved an intruder the female then went into submission Isla accepted her and I saw that her talon was an "S" shape,, so it had to be Isla's daughter from 4 or five years back,,, WELL the same again today,,, this female had he "S" shaped talon on her right foot,, so again I think it was her daughter and thats why there was no fighting,,,
Amazing or what folks,,,, but what I don't understand is why Isla flew off the nest leaving her on her own,,, UIsla should of at least stayed to point out THAT the nest was hers and hers alone and that this bird must leave in time,,,, after the bird recovered she then flew off and Isla returned to re- state her home nest,,, most odd indeed,,, perhaps Isla being a soft and gentle bird allowed her past daughter the leaway to get herself together to carry on to her destination,, I don't know,, I think you can firmly say folks what ever we all know about these rare birds,,, we have only scratched the tip of the iceberg,,
I can tell you all no more,,, your guess is as good as mine as to what goes on in their heads,,, all I will say is that these birds hold the wisdom of the ages in the heads and have forgotten more than we will ever know,,,
BTW The Laird really isn 't due until the end of the week,, but then again,, what do I know ???
Andy, the fosters don't appear to be keeping Mai settled at all---of course, her two weeks would be up today....but she really only had 4 days of relative calm. Guess she has had no ill effects, tho'.
Sorry yu had trouble finding it. I just copied and pasted what I typed into my browser and it brought me right there. I should have omitted the "www" because when it went to the address it showed up as:
http://bdtonline.com/local
I don't know why things work and why they don't sometimes. I think it also depends on whether your browser is set to correct addresses.
Leona thanks for sharing your camping pictures. That was fun ( :
I am watching Two Harbors want to get a look at the little bobblehead. 2nd egg laid Feb 21 want to keep an eye out for that hatching. Plus it is a beautiful site.
Hedgie-Lynn Why did you say that about Mai. What have you heard?
PA Lynn, I think different browsers have strange parameters when pasting some url's. Never had so much trouble as I've had with IE 8. Like only letting me open some cams one time and nevermore!
DanaWV, the videos of Mai running and playing were done the day after she left here....that was only 5 days after surgery....
Any significant weight loss can solve the problem with most cases of Type II diabetes, Dana. If people can't do it any other way that bypass, then it is a viable option.
hedgie: You could be righ there. I don't have problems too much with IE 8. My husband downloaded IE 9 and after a week he uninstalled it and went back to 8. He said there are too many problems with it. Still needs some debugging, I guess.
I always wait until he's comfortable with those things and then let him upgrade my computer!
The reason why I wrote that is because of Sharon saying about the problems you have after Gastric Bypass Surgery. I also know two ladies sisters; one had the Gastric Bypass the other did that belt or whatever it is called. The one with the Gastric Bypass Surgery is having all kinds of problems. The other is not and doing just fine.
PA-Lynn eastern bluebirds are one of my favorite backyard birds. The day I first saw my soon to be new home there were 3 bluebirds flying around. In the 13 yrs I owned my home sadly I only say them maybe 5 times over those seasons.
Good Grief!! 800 Posts! I'll never read them all & get anythibng else done. But did see some comments from last night. We had mentioned the teddy bear in the Delta Nest. I have pics in the dead 'puter I can't access yet, but I did put a cartoon they made on Blog 6-15-08!!
For the first time, I was struck by a Bird Turd before leaving Park!!!! Was that an omen for those of us still rooting for TEAM LIBERTY???? Or will I have beautiful hair????
Will have to mention some neat osprey facts (& eagle) I heard today from a meeting held at Visitor's Center. The CBNERR gang was there. One of our naturalists did a short aslide program about the ospreys & at end he showed eagle pics we took 10-27-09, I think. (some on Blog) Might be the best we'll ever get!
This is actually my second start today. I was up for quite a while earlier, got a crick in my back, decided to lay dawn and stretch it out ............. zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.
It's fairly cloudy, but nice and warm today in So Cal. Things should be looking up now.
I see Belle is having her dinner on the nest. Any other sightings today??
My hubby just read you're not supposed to have your blue bird nest boxes too close together. We have quite a few in the yard. They were here when we bought the house. Maybe we'll take down a couple and see if that helps.
Lynn, just leave your goodies on porch. Thank You so much!! I told GG today that you will be leaving something on the porch. Your clothes will be welcome...selection is getting slim. I announced, in church Sunday, that the Closet was a success and that we needed more clothing. Had a lot of members come to me and tell me that they were going through their closets and the need for clothing for our 'guests' was an incentive to get rid of unwanted items. I am pleased to prove our Pastor wrong, in that it would be too much work and wouldn't pan out. NOT TOO MUCH WORK. After I finish my cooking, I go to the Closet and hang up any clothing not on hangers. Anything that has been hanging for a month will be taken to the Goodwill or Rescue Mission by one of our Volunteers with a truck. Just need to be consistent with a plan. It is so good to see our people walking out of the dining room with a smile on their face, a full tummy and a bag of clothes in their hand:)
I saw the bird the last few minutes in the nest, is it possible, just possible that it was Lib? Bird didn't seem as big as Belle. It wasn't Turd Bird that's for sure.
That was cool I got three different video from my camera of it on my monitor off course tv on in background and windy on monitor I'm going to post on face book on both the Nctc NCTC cams sites if anyone want to see Getting ready to post as soon as I get done here
Isn't it great those Ospreys at BWO are filling up the nest this year?? I believe they have loaded one whole quarter of the box since I looked in this morning.
Also pleased to hear the longtime lady of the lock has returned this year again... Lisa's link to the story led me nowhere this time though. Maybe I still have the link to the nest on this contraption ...
Jim, only other action was an early morning visit by both of them! Hope your back feels better!
Only time bluebirds show up here is when it snows. :(
Loretta....so a poop shoot conditioning treatment instead of a facila, huh? ROFL! Have had that happen on the ferry with the seagulls too many times!!! Thankfully, not on the last trip back in Oct.!
Guess I was quiet enough that Belle thought I was napping again. Finally someone came while I was watching. Now its time to start dinner. Everyone have a great evening. See ya tomorrow.
Meal worms are not supposed to be healthy food for critters.....they are bloodless.....used them occassionally for my toads when I couldn't get nightcrawlers or crickets, but only as a tide-over. Not enough protein for health/growth.
Not sure, Liz... I guess it's possible, and I hope it was.
I didn't think it was big enough for Belle at first, and it had smaller feather ends with golden edges, but then I saw largish feet, so I went ahead with the assumption it was Belle.
Neat ! I got back here at 5:31 and in time to see Belle devour her dinner. A lot of snap, crackle and pop to that fish.
Costume Lady, no scuffle in the next today. They were very compatible and quiet early this morning, though B and T moved some sticks around a bit. They skipped a midday visit. No sightings until Belle returned for this feeding. Nice to see her alone and enjoying herself !
First one is uploading now was little 5min 19sec- 2nd is 2min 49sec -3rd is 2min 2sec Looks like she was there 21 min I didn't start recording right away Not for sure how long it will take to do all three the 1st is almost half way done
Bluebirds are not real common here but are seen. Jack built me a Bluebird box this year. So far nothing. However, we do have Chickadees nesting in one of our birdhouse.
Robyn Over a period of three years we had a Red Shouldered Hawk nesting in our trees. Over that period we saw 10 fledge. Thus the name of our home, Hawkwood.
Quite chilly and damp here. Rain never really occured. Chance of rain has dropped. Grrrr! But, it feels like winter has returned and we have a nice fire going. 90 predicted for later on this week. Crazy Texas weather!!!!!
Surprise, surprise. One of our osprey nests on the cam in Visitor's Center has female brooding EGGS already!!! She didn't have any Saturday! Our naturalist mentioned; -Average lifespan 8-10 years, oldest 30 & 32!!(America) -Have the longest intestinal tract and can digest scales, fish heads, etc. & pellets are usually loose, small things. -Since he's been banding and keeping records since mid-1980's, the return dates are getting earlier--global warming?? -Map with GPS migration travels, showed one osprey a few years ago left Long Island and then veered easterly, flying over a LOOOONG stretch of ocean. It almost went thru most of Brazil, stopping close to Argentina---4000 mile trip!! Most from east coast go thru Florida, stop around Cuba, & then to Brazil.
I hope to get pics on here one day, if I can ever figure out some of these crummy Win 7 programs! Today we also had a large heron convention in Jug Bay (wide, shallow part of Pax River). There were about 8 herons & 1 great egret who was still there when I left!!!!
Sorry, I slept through your comments, Dana & Naturenut, but I see you found it.
Now, for the funny news: That's a great site, but it's not the one Lisa was talking about ... with the oldest (and bestest) Osprey female known. I'm going to try to find that one.
The videos are on Nctc eagle cam and NCTC eagle cam face book page and also mine I updated my profile and added my face book link in case any one is interested I can't play anymore My neck is killing me I guess no visit after Belle left Good night to all and God Bless this Nest and all of those whom watch it
I have been in/out the blog today I hope I haven't missed any questions directed to me - I was just spot reading. Hedgie - It is Hedgesville bunch, all 5 are well and coming to visit. Therefore we are celebrating Easter 1 month early. Kristen and Jennifer will also be here. There are colorful Easter eggs in my yard & I hope they get collected before it snows on them tomorrow. Charlie and family came of for dinner. I did have cam up & we all saw Belle eating in the nest. I wonder where Truder was.

Loretta, I was wondering when you were going to give us the scoop on what you learned....you left us hanging the first post!!! Thanks....very interesting. WHERE are those older osprey?? They beat Isla.....are they still producing eggs???
No great cams yet for Loch of Lowe's---they are still working on them....still same links as last year. New blog is NOT associated with SWT...totally independent and you have to apply to be approved before you can post on it. L of L cams
Good evening, everyone. As JudyE has signed off, I thought I'd ask if anyone knows what she means when she said she posted her videos on NCTC eagle cam? Thanks in advance.
Looking forward to some snow tomorrow. Spring is weird this year.
Argh...my last comment went out as genworks40 requesting info on JudeE's videos. I don't know why. I'm supposed to be logged in as turtledove. So my replies will be as turtledove.
Heard movement on cam I still have open while watching tv I am taking about their face book page Pammysue and Nilla are also on my face book page there are two face book pages http://www.facebook.com/home.php?ref=hp#!/group.php?gid=337672735210
JudyE, I feel stupid. I can't find the video you posted of this evening's visit by Belle on the Facebook NCTC page. Is there a link you can post? I'm having trouble figuring out all of these sites, very confusing to a newbie!
Thanks, Lolly. Somehow this link is taking me to my Facebook page. I did find the NCTC Eagle Cam Facebook page, which only has older videos, none from today. Maybe I was mistaken thinking Judy posted videos from today.
*Turtle dove I'm on face book I also put that info on my profile I updated today somewhat I just went on the NCTC eagle cam page on face book and it is there it is also on the Nctc eagle cam page the one that Pam also runs I hope you can see it Ignore the noise I had the TV on in the background on the first and on the second I turned it down but the wind can also be heard on the video also I did talk out loud and yes I talk to my self also Lol Turning camera off back to the boob tube I love my NCIS
OK I have been watching since 7:30 or so getting more irritated by the minute with the sound-no-sound at the nest WOOF !! Haven't seen a bird ! It's dark for me now here, so might as well shut down the live feed.
Thought I heard a clunk around 7:40 or so Glad to see that Belle had the whole place and fish to herself.
Haven't read back much, and won't be able to for awhile
had to stay over til 6:30 - not so bad, coulda been worse
Good Evening Eagle Pals Hope to see how everyone is, a little later on xoxox
that's good DanaWV have not really been able to check too many cams lately will be watching the Scottish nests when I can and am checking the American Kestrel cam - in Nebraska - was one of Deb's favorites ♥ but I do not see any egg action there yet and have not seen the Kestrel yet either they are an hour behind us in time
back in a bit, there is bath with my name on it coming up
Do not understand facebook. When I click on that link I posted it takes me to the NCTC eagle cam page. And, that is where I copied the address. Oh well.
Going to read and then watch DWTS. Thought I might watch that new program that follows DWTS.
6:30 Inturder arrives goes to top inside near 11:30 position 6:32 Belle arrives goes up ahead of him on nest Intruder fussing with nest cup both start moving sticks Both had a hold of one stick together, think Belle got that one Intruder went back and sat in nest cup Belle moved down to the 5:30 spot 6:37 Belle moving fluff 6:37 Belle left Intruder stayed in nest cup looking around and left a few mins later no chirps, no sounds, peaceful but I did not see physical contact except with the one stick movement - not bird to bird
Kindly provided by Margy ☺
Belle arrives with Fish -
at 5:27 she arrived alone with a fish...she looked around for about 5 minutes before she dug in....ate in peace and finished in peace...It was a nice sized fish with lots of sketti ☺....had a scratch, and departed at 5.47 to the right
Okay...you guys are going to laugh, but...the other teacher from St. Mary's and I want to know what HP means? When it was used in a sentence we thought we knew what it meant, but it's been our running joke for a few days now since we visited the nest and saw the post about HP. Do we have it figured out right, and what does the abbreviation actually stand for.
Well that's what we thought, we couldn't figure out how that translated to HP. But after I posted it I was standing loading the dishwasher and was trying to think of things that HP could stand for...the first was Hokey Pokey (hey I teach kindergarten) then I realized Hanky Panky but we figured it was eagle mating. Just had to ask to be sure. So will Belle and Rudy do the Hanky Panky? They seem to like each other a little these days. At least they tolerate each other.

PA-Lynn just got back, not feeling to well this day, took a pain pill for my arthritis and it knocked me out.
I love Louisiana, been going there since a kid with my family, my brother was even born there, in New Orleans.
I need to head out and get Tori to her doctor then off to the hospital for her 3 week infusion. I will try and keep up to date while at City...
So I see Isla (did I spell that right) is the news today!! I don't dare get hooked on that cam. I'll never get anything done.
I am trying so hard to behave my self and work. That is the only problem with working at home.....Self Control!! ☺☺☺
Okay, Robyn, hope you both feel better. We'll talk about Louisiana another time. I have two brothers that were born there, too!
Maybe this wasn't the best time to take a work break!!
I'm also having trouble on the NCTC site. It is really slow. Anyone notice that, too?
someone is in Isla nest now.
bird in Isla nest moved from edge of nest to center of nest and did a 360, then a 180, then sat down, then another 180. Fidgity.
Thanks, KayIM! We waited so long to get a team back.....if spring training games are any indication, it might be a good year! I think opening day is Thurs!!
Oh, drat....washing machine is unbalanced........back down I go.

Gosh, sorry to hear of the eagle that was shot and killed. If they catch whoever did it, I think they should just take them out and shoot them!
Gosh, need to go get some lunch. Hope I can catch up when I get back!
Hi Ms. Bookworm!
I'm new and haven't had the pleasure of chatting with you.
The eagle was shot back in November, but the offer for a reward was announced today, I believe.
Hope you sleep schedule gets back on track!

Hi Lynn!
Wonder why it took so long for them to offer the reward? I can't get the article to come up, T-bird.
Hi PA Lynn and Andy!

Lynn:
go to www.bdtonline.com/local
It will be the 4th story down. Says Wildlife authorities hunting for culprit who shot bald eagle; offering reward
I can't do the links yet, and don't have the time or patience right now to learn!!
I am jumping between windows. Right now I am working on my blog today. Adding my camping pictures from Stroud Lake. Hope to get it done today.
Thanks for the directions Hedgie. I get lost backing out of my own driveway but I think I'm here now. Hope everyone is having a good afternoon.
I know your all animal lovers. . .
Here is a link to an amazing video of a DOG
I'm totally exhausted after just watching it.
Couldn't get the bt-link to bring up the article, no matter what, PA Lynn. Thanks. I just did a search and found it in one of the Charleston papers.

Hmmmm My hubby just brought me in chocolate chip cookie dough!! The real thing! He's making cookies!
I like the dough better than the cookies.
I know, I'm weird!
Hedgie, that is the Bluefield paper.
I just woke from a long panda nap. I must have needed it.
See I have a few comments to catch up on.

It worked... I did it... way cool...
Andy=Ms.Bookworm or Andrea good to see you stopping in. Give Emma a nice hand rub for me.
Isn't that something that for 2 years straight that Osprey chick of Isla's has landed to tell MOM, "I made the journey" ( :
Great job, Leona!! It's fun just to be outdoors and to be together, isn't it? Get away from all the "have to's" at home!
@ PA-Lynn yes it is lots of fun
Leona thanks for sharing your camping pictures. That was fun ( :

If I can loose weight, anyone can do it. Portion control and veggies, with LOTS of water. glug glug!
Hedgie mom just called and told me about the incident at Islas nest amazing how she allowed her offspring to rest.
PA-Lynn this is so awesome the population increase of our birds all over, there is so much biologists will be learning as well as us the vouyers.
I am still at hospital with Tori took the pharmacy long enough to get her IV to us almost an hour now we air here another hour...
Pardon me type-o's on a lil keypad on phone
Thanks hedgie

I never knew there were so many bird cams out there. It's amazing!

Oh just got a look at the bobblehead at Two Harbors. So that will be their only chick. It is really chirping and raising up out of the nest.
@Robyn,
We get them interested and building in the boxes every year for the past few years, but no babies yet. Don't know who scares them out!
My bluebirds are not back yet.

My sister-in-law gets blue bird babies every year and they play in her water fountain in the summer. So cute! She feeds them those meal worms.
Wanda, no worry Belle doesn't share :)
Can't believe Bs got the nest to herself. Haven't seen that lately.

Looks like Belle is eating ALONE!!!!
Early this morning Jim....Belle and Truder paid a visit
My hubby just read you're not supposed to have your blue bird nest boxes too close together. We have quite a few in the yard. They were here when we bought the house. Maybe we'll take down a couple and see if that helps.
Had to refresh, she's been in the nest eating so long!!
Gotta run... Dinner, then a meeting! Talk to you later!
Did she bring that din din in w/her???
Awesome, I heard Jo yell so I ran in to see Belle eating. Great sight!
Howdy all:)
It is so good to love watching Belle and not have a resentment at the jerk, just for the moment.
Wolfing it down, but ever watchful
WVDana. Enjoy that spaghetti tonite.
Ha. Down the hatch.
Bs gone
Didn't take her long to down that fish:)
Belle flew out
As shirley says.....poof!
It appears the two egg cups have become one. Interesting.
Thanks, Paula. Now, I just saw her finish off the meal, give herself a good scratch in the head-neck area and float on out of the nest to the right.
C(°Ù¿°)D Jim
Darn computer... shut down on me and I missed seeing Belle. :(
Nest looks messy...maybe the way the light is shining on it? Was there a scuffle earlier? Been at GG's this afternoon.
C(°Ù¿°)D Jim
Jim, only other action was an early morning visit by both of them! Hope your back feels better!
Only time bluebirds show up here is when it snows. :(
Loretta....so a poop shoot conditioning treatment instead of a facila, huh? ROFL! Have had that happen on the ferry with the seagulls too many times!!! Thankfully, not on the last trip back in Oct.!
Man I just realized I haven't check on the Norfolk eaglets today.
Guess I was quiet enough that Belle thought I was napping again. Finally someone came while I was watching. Now its time to start dinner. Everyone have a great evening. See ya tomorrow.
I missed the visit too. So glad Truder was not there. Hope someone got pics!
Thanks, Jim, just checked that out, BWO ospreys have been busy.
My bluebirds are here year round.
Back outside, have a good evening everybody
Meal worms are not supposed to be healthy food for critters.....they are bloodless.....used them occassionally for my toads when I couldn't get nightcrawlers or crickets, but only as a tide-over. Not enough protein for health/growth.
Not sure, Liz... I guess it's possible, and I hope it was.
I didn't think it was big enough for Belle at first, and it had smaller feather ends with golden edges, but then I saw largish feet, so I went ahead with the assumption it was Belle.
C(°Ù¿°)D Jim
Bronx Zoo Cobra still missing.
Should be pieces of leftovers in the nest. We'll see if intruder comes in to eat them.
Gee, sounds like Margy on the scanner......sure hope she DIDN'T get held over....but I'm suspicious. :(
Hedgie-Lynn you know if the need someone. Margy will say YES.
Cherry Blossoms at peek at Tidal Basin will last till Friday.
Feeding at BWE. Everybody lined up in the chow line.
That third one is growing well, but he's still waaaayy behind the other two in development and size.
C(°Ù¿°)D Jim
BBL need to shut down for a bit.
Quite chilly and damp here. Rain never really occured. Chance of rain has dropped. Grrrr! But, it feels like winter has returned and we have a nice fire going. 90 predicted for later on this week. Crazy Texas weather!!!!!
See you later Leona ( :
PA Lynn, you did videos the well!!!!
Lolly, sorry the rain isn't cooperating...:(
Eagle at West End sitting on 3 eggs 1st egg due to hatch around March 31st. Terrible Terrible STORM there!!!!!
CORRECTION: Well maybe not may be doing maintance on cam. When I do see West End Eagle does NOT look like any STORM.
My Lock Garten link was out of date, but a quick "Google" got me links to the new improved cam and to their blog. Try it.
C(°Ù¿°)D Jim
Jim why don't you put the link on the blog??????
Hi,
Can't read everything on here. Did a quick scan back on this page and see that Belle ate a fish in the nest today. Good.
Jim wake up!! but the new link for Loch Garten on here. What
is the http???? Pleaase and thank you with sugar on top lol
not but PUT
Surprise, surprise.One of our osprey nests on the cam in Visitor's Center has female brooding EGGS already!!! She didn't have any Saturday! Our naturalist mentioned;
-Average lifespan 8-10 years, oldest 30 & 32!!(America)
-Have the longest intestinal tract and can digest scales, fish heads, etc.
Coffee & din din~~BBL
A chick is being fed at Fort St. Vrain. awwwwwwww got two more to hatch there. This one hatched I think March 28th.
Right click on picture for me zoom then click full screen chick was being fed
For above you have to click on blue bar for Fort St.Vrain Eagle Cam 1st

Loch Garten Osprey Cam
Hello everyone.... getting caught up is a big thing. Yes Margy was working over... hopefully not too long, but I suspect till 8pm?
Loretta Thanks I have that one. Jim is sounding like he has found a better one. So I am asking him what the http of it is. Thank you anyhow lady.
So glad you got to see more wildlife at the park. ( :
Sorry, I slept through your comments, Dana & Naturenut, but I see you found it.
Now, for the funny news: That's a great site, but it's not the one Lisa was talking about ... with the oldest (and bestest) Osprey female known. I'm going to try to find that one.
C(°Ù¿°)D Jim

No great cams yet for Loch of Lowe's---they are still working on them....still same links as last year. New blog is NOT associated with SWT...totally independent and you have to apply to be approved before you can post on it.

I heard it, Paula.
Good evening, everyone. As JudyE has signed off, I thought I'd ask if anyone knows what she means when she said she posted her videos on NCTC eagle cam? Thanks in advance.
Looking forward to some snow tomorrow. Spring is weird this year.

Loch of Lowes is 5 hours ahead of us. So it is 12:47am over there. So cam would not be up until 9am
Cam 1 is up Dana just dark...
JudyE, I feel stupid. I can't find the video you posted of this evening's visit by Belle on the Facebook NCTC page. Is there a link you can post? I'm having trouble figuring out all of these sites, very confusing to a newbie!
Thanks.
Night light came on a minute ago.
Dana. It is early in the A.M. at L. of the Lowes, but as I was checking it out, I could see the nest on cam. It looks "very" foggy there tonight.
C(°Ù¿°)D Jim
Thanks, Lolly. Somehow this link is taking me to my Facebook page. I did find the NCTC Eagle Cam Facebook page, which only has older videos, none from today. Maybe I was mistaken thinking Judy posted videos from today.
Just updated my "About Me" You might find a few interesting tidbits about me.
Hello all.
Well, cannot read back through almost 1000 posts so hope everyone is doing well.
Have set the night light to turn on at 11pm for others coming in later tonight. Pleasant dreams.
Hi Judie,
Nice to see you. I can't read all of the posts, either.
Hope and Lilly are play fighting again. Heads are facing the camera.
C(°Ù¿°)D Jim
It looks like the WE cam has been maintained and it is "up" again.

I have been watching since 7:30 or so
getting more irritated by the minute with the sound-no-sound at the nest
WOOF !!
Haven't seen a bird ! It's dark for me now here, so might as well shut down the live feed.
Thought I heard a clunk around 7:40 or so
Glad to see that Belle had the whole place and fish to herself.
Haven't read back much, and won't be able to for awhile

Do not understand facebook. When I click on that link I posted it takes me to the NCTC eagle cam page. And, that is where I copied the address. Oh well.
Going to read and then watch DWTS. Thought I might watch that new program that follows DWTS.
I'll be peaking in occasionally.☺
Hello out there. Internet has been down all day. :(
Gonna go TRY and catch up.
BBL
Nest Update Mar 29
6:30 Inturder arrives
goes to top inside near 11:30 position
6:32 Belle arrives goes up ahead of him on nest
Intruder fussing with nest cup
both start moving sticks
Both had a hold of one stick together, think Belle got that one
Intruder went back and sat in nest cup
Belle moved down to the 5:30 spot
6:37 Belle moving fluff
6:37 Belle left
Intruder stayed in nest cup looking around
and left a few mins later
no chirps, no sounds,
peaceful but I did not see physical contact except with the one stick movement - not bird to bird

Thanks Paula
Have any ground observers seen Lib at all in the last couple days?
Okay...you guys are going to laugh, but...the other teacher from St. Mary's and I want to know what HP means? When it was used in a sentence we thought we knew what it meant, but it's been our running joke for a few days now since we visited the nest and saw the post about HP. Do we have it figured out right, and what does the abbreviation actually stand for.
HP= Hanky Panky (eagle sex) LOL
Now tell us what you were thinking!
Okay, from another teacher--HP is hanky-panky. Mating.
Yeah, what did you think??
Yeah, Lolly is a teacher, too.
Oh, Shirley, you said it so nicely! LOL Should I have said from another kinder teacher? ☺
As I posted earlier, Cam 1 at Loch of Lowes is for between the hours of 9am - 5pm; for viewing between the hours of 5pm and 9am, please view Loch of the Lowes camera 2.
That is their time, of course.
We got grades K-12 covered here. At least the beginning and the end of it, anyway.
