Regarding the FIX, the guys are working on getting the fuel cell installed that will eliminate this problem with the battery that we have been dealing with forever. Keith tells me they are trying to get it done today.
I had FOX on the brain yesterday because the Piedmont Hunt rallied in front of my house Saturday morning. Nobody likes to see any foxes killed, and they rarely are, but the spectacle is really neat.

Hi Steve..thanks for the new thread and the information on the fule cell fix. Argh I wouldn't enjoy that much.. so glad you live there and not me. I understand the balance of nature etc, and want them all to not just survive but thrive...hopefully we humans are doing better at solving not increasing problems for our wildlife, but I am not totally sure that we are.

Glad to hear Brisbane cam is back up.
Floors being installed friday morning so really stressing out now as I need to get most of the belongings put into a place that will leave the floors cleared. Tori's room has all my bedroom furniture and hers so that leaves the kitchen and ugh both bathrooms to put things. I can't wait till this is over!!!!
Decided next semester to do just 6 credits as I really really need a break 1 week every 6 mths is a killer on the social life. Now I can have fun in Massanutten with Tori, my best friend and her daughter.

I'm trying to design a new template for the cam blogs. And I might try my hand at an eagle comic strip for our young cam watchers this season. And I'm supposed to be updating our online store so it can take credit cards. And they want me to possibly work on an Eagle Cam DVD that we can sell.
And I'm getting laid off on Nov. 24 from my long-time paid job, so I'm also starting to job search.

glad Dollycam is back -- I was starting to suffer from withdrawal symptoms!! she sure is getting big! it's amazing how fast she's growing!!
i've started packing things up that we rarely use, we'll be storing them in the garage until we actually move. Mom has been collecting paper boxes from work for us to use, which makes it easy to pack things but not to make it too heavy -- and the boxes have holes for you to hold on to, so easier to carry. we decided we're going to hire Starving Students or something like that to move us, it'll get done faster, and we won't have to beg our friends to help us.

The move was a local one -- less than 50 yards. :-)
They were renovating our apartment complex, so I just moved to a new unit.
We knew the layoff was coming; they're outsourcing 300 jobs. We actually have to train the people who are taking our jobs. :-$
Fortunately our union contract requires 60 days notice of layoff and guarantees severance pay. Sometimes unions are handy. Sometimes not.
And yes, I'm heading down to Florida this weekend as an early birthday trip. My b-day is October 23, so I'm spending a three-day weekend with the folks.
Well, HAPPY BIRTHDAY AND HAVE A GOOD TRIP, LISA.......you deserve a break for all the hard work you do!!!

Good morning, world. Been a long weekend, had a headache start Sunday that wouldn't quit. In fact, it didn't stop until coming down here this morning. Ugh!
Chilly out, 50 in PA, 57 here in VA. Other than that, nice night out. Saw my possom again this morning. This time he walked away when the light went on, turned it on later than usual, and saw him strolling away in the grass. Also found out where they live yesterday, so gotta get some moth balls this afternoon. My neighbor told me to put them where we think they are, and they'll go away. Let's hope he's right. Place happens to be under my house, so kinda don't want them quite so close.
Will have to go back and try to catchup. Had my computer upgraded yesterday, and of course can't find a thing. Only cam open is SD, and Bai and Squiggles are sleeping. See our cam is down, so guess I didn't miss any visits yesterday. Bummer.

Good morning, Robyn. Didn't know that about moth balls and the trees! Good to keep in mind. I put up a nesting box this year, and had babies, but was gonna get a baffle, but never did. As it turns out, didn't need it, but am putting up another box next year. Guess I'll get some moth balls and just kinda keep them around just in case.
Fairfax? That's down this way, drive carefully. Not too much traffic yet, but it's only a matter of time.
BY the time we leave there will be traffic, we alternate between Children's Hosp and the Annex in Fairfax, I prefer Fairfax because we get out faster but parking it still impossible, the earlier you get there the better, anytime after 930 an you drive for 25 min in circles awaiting a spot.
I don't envy you the drive, Robyn! Parking in VA is just plain lousy, anyplace you have to go. Hope everything works out alright for Tori! Glad she's doing so much better.

2nd eagle has arrived at BW, with fish. First eagle just squawking at him. Ok, now they're both just sitting there, and can't tell if the one on the left has a fish or not.
Now the eagles are yelling at each other.

Now another eagle is there, but not sure if it's a different eagle, or one of the two that was just there.
They're both back, so I'm guessing these are the 2 that just left.

Nothing changes at the ATLANTA ZOO in the morning!!!----LITTLE PRINCESS is asleep on upper logs & LUN LUN is roaming!!---When the workers go in each a.m. at 7:00--LUN LUN is always up waiting by the door & MEI is moving around playing--but yesterday a.m.---when they went in the LITTLE PRINCESS was nursing!!!----SO SWEET!!

My regular job is changing. I'll be looking for something computer-related in the DC/MD/VA area.
My folks live north of Orlando in the retirement community called "The Villages." Very big place. I think they say it's the biggest retirement community in the country now.

Morning, Jill. Yup, ok, just didn't think of Catoctic being on a hill, but I guess it is. No, Dana, haven't stopped by this year. Think about it every once in a while, but haven't stopped yet. They gave one of the white tiger cubs to Arizona, but I think they still have 2 of them. Bet they've grown. They also had Lemur babies last year, which are also probably full grown now. Maybe I'll stop one of these days on the way home. Just seems I'm so tired when I get off, that stopping for anything other than gas and groceries is out of the question. Getting old, I guess..

Saturday is approaching fast... Many of the Momsters are meeting for a good time and memories to last...... To laugh and hug spreading the love... Hoping for an eagle's in the nest.... We will eating at Rumsey... where the food is the best.. With bellies full, we will set and talk... about the years we shared and the families we love... Lots of pictures will be taken... and put online.... so those who cant make it... Will relize what agood time we had.... and come the next time!!!! So plan on a Christmas Party.... make sure not to forget... when the date is set... mark it down dont forget!!!!!

I tell ya what i am ready to pull the plug on it all because i get on here at work and dont watch much tv at home... i have acell phone and dont need a home phone... just more money they suck out of ya each month as far as i concerned...
Well I just got informed my eagle man is not only coming to Open House (which I knew). He informed me HE is coming to Rumsey Tavern also......Ok Jo you got your wish. lol
Everyone has been talking about the RUMSEY TAVERN--food, etc.---I just pulled the MENU down---Now---I am STARVING TO DEATH!!!----ho!---It will be a FUN DAY!!---Seeing you folks though---IS BETTER THAN FOOD!!!!---By the way---I noticed their chicken is "DEEP FRIED"---Weren't you all talking about deep fried food the other day!!---

yes let me add my wish for a Happy Birthday to Lisa You are one awesome Webmistress...is that the right word? Sorry to here about the coming lay off but anxious to read on the other side of this coin that you have found something new that you dearly love to do and that it has all worked out for the best.
You are obviously very talented and there is some agency out there who will be very lucky to get you. As for where you currently work, it is their loss , but in its own way at least for a little while it is our gain. Drive safely and enjoy your time home with family.
