Judy enjoy your feather - Anxious to see the photo snip you got!

Hoda - I am so surprised of your being speechless - You must be doing some outside things today as it is so beautiful!

all the standard blood work has been drawn. currently I'm someone's back up. if for whatever reason they can't do the surgery, the lungs will go to me. if they can do the surgery, I'll be top of the list for the next set.
I think our Prayer Power is working well for Tori!

I need to read last thread and see what went on earlier this morning. xoxoxoxo

Well, shortly after my last post the sky really opened up. We got about two inches of rain in 25 minutes. Grand total 3 inches, with more to come on already saturated land. Row, row, row your boat! Posted pics on fb. Water was over the road in front of our house and over the end of our driveway. We will be begging for rain in August!

That time of night! Night all!

good evening all. its been a boogity boogity boogity busy day!

LOLLY: maybe need to send you some galoshes and an umbrella...and a boat....

JUDYE: feather looks good on ya!

STEVE: thanks for the thread!

I feel like a whirl wind this evening! nice to be winding down.

remember about a month ago we planted some bamboo? well, it all looked as if it had died. all of the tops died back and I trimmed them. I kept hoping the roots were still alive and guess what! we have bamboo popping back up!!!! we didn't kill it!!!!

AND our mimosa tree (we have two, so the three year old one we nurtured from a wee seedling) is blooming for the first time!!! very excited!

all this, sacred datura flowers and lightening bugs too! almost too much excitement for one week!

tomorrow my Michael turns 26. he's having a few friends over for a grill and swim get together. :)

hope everyone is doing well. hugs and smiles for all! SED!

Goodorming my eagle friends. June the 1st! Thanks Steve for a new thread and thanks Judy for the call over.

Both eaglets chillin' in the center of the nest, side by side. I hear a red-winged blackbird in the distance there. I just read the NOTICE below the cam about updates to improve performance. How long has that been there?

Lolly, saw your rain photos on FB - wow!

Jo, I hope today is a good day for you. Prayers continue for strength and for healing. Yesterday was your CT, wasn't it? Or is it today? When will you find out the results?

Good news for Tori - sending prayers and positive energy her way for new lungs.

About 6pm last night, Lynnis pulled into our driveway with Freyja! She arrived in the States for 2 weeks last Saturday. She said she had texted us that she was coming but neither of us got her texts - I guess her Mexican phone isn't working as well here. So we had dinner and spent the evening together - what a whirlwind that Freyja is!! They will be here til Friday. I have today and Friday off so their timing is good.

Janey is eating and acting OK but she still has diarrhea. I'm anxious to hear the results of the fecal test.

Have a greyt day all.

Yay!

Good morning! More rain during the night. Now over 3 inches on already saturated ground. Rain predicted every day until Monday! We prayed for rain......some time back. God has answered prayers. We should be thankful and we are, but we have had more than enough. Wish we could store it up!

Saw the picture of Freja eating her strawberries and wondered. Soak up the time with her! So happy for you, Sandi.

Getting ready to walk. Have a meeting at church. I do not like committees!

Tomorrow we get up early to be at Jacob's school for 5th grade graduation. Representing the parents who can not be there. Groan......have to leave by 7:30 to get through Fort Worth traffic and be there by 9:00. But, then we will have the day in front of us. Last week of school and Sunday Laurel and Jacob leave for a week in Colorado. Jacob for hiking, biking, and kayaking. Laurel for a week of cabin cook which she LOVES!

Have a great day!

First time to see an eaglet on the stump!❤️

Hey, Momsters! I know, you don't hear from me much anymore, but I still follow! I am still your Bird Girl!

So, some time ago, our great-big-hearted Sharon opened her heart and home to a kitten with a ruined eye. The eye needs to be removed now, and will cost $400. This is on top of her spay procedure.

I promised her back then that I would help her, and I do try hard to keep my word. I had some money left over from my savings for my trip to Europe, so I am contributing $200.00 (yes, Sharon, $200.00! And don't you sass me! LOL) to the Grayce Enucleation Fund; will you folks help, too? I am not saying contributions need to be large - even $5.00 helps - this is just what *I* can afford at this moment.

In the past, I have simply called the vet's office and made a payment on Sharon's account. We Momsters help each other out!

(I posted this on the Momsters FB page too)

Good evening all.

What great news about Tori. Prayers for the family who lost a loved one so that Tori can get new lungs.

Jo, how are you doing today - you haven't checked in!

Spent the first part of today playing with Freyja. Then Lynnis took her to Ocean City to meet up with friends and they haven't returned.

The vet called to say that Janey has hookworms - again. We battled for about 2 months to get rid of them when we first adopted her and now they're back. No idea where or how she picked them up this time. But at least we know the source of the problem and she's on meds to get rid of them. She has lost 5 pounds since starting with the diarrhea 8 days ago so I'm glad we know what needs to be done to turn things around.

I will see everyone in the early AM - tomorrow is my Friday! :)

grannyblt said...

I checked Carolyn's FB page for more info on Tori, and evidently the lungs available won't work for Tori, so no transplant. I hope I don't have it wrong this time.

Hoda said...

Yes you have it right.
They scrubbed and prepared for surgery and Robyn posted it was a no go.
The lungs had too much edema to be transplanted in a young healthy and vibrant person like Tori.
Robyn was going to go home till Saturday unless other developments happen.
Tori is looking forward for a visit from her father. All good...
Prayers continue...

Mema Jo said...

Good evening - good to hear from all of you

Keep the prayers for Tori - tomorrow is another day!
She deserves the best set of lungs possible!

Seeing both eaglets in the nest and it is June 1 - Not much longer.

I'd stay longer but I do have a good TV movie this evening!

Take care - xoxoxoxoxo

stronghunter said...

You take care, too, Jo. And xoxoxoxo back at you.

Unfortunate news about Tori . . . at least for now. Maybe tomorrow will be better.

Glad you found out the reason for Janey's problems, Sandi.

Hoda said...

Keeping Tori and her potential donor in prayers of love and Light.
One for giving the gift of life.
One for being so deserving of living her's and celebrating her potential.
Thinking of Robyn. I have no idea how she does it, but she does. So I keep her too in prayer.

Good night

Hi, Everyone!

Dropping by to let you know that Ken & I got home OK from Texas late Tuesday evening. Our flight was supposed to leave DFW at 4:01 pm, and they boarded the plane at about 3:45 pm. We sat on the plane for about an hour, because they had to disconnect the ramp (which wasn't grounded) to protect everyone from being struck by lightning! It was raining like Noah's flood! Could barely see out the plane windows it was coming down so hard. Not everyone was able to get on the plane (it was a full flight) because of the lightning danger. Finally, when the lightning let up, they had everyone get off the plane, because the weather was so bad that no flights could take off or land. We sat in the terminal for a long time, and meanwhile a flight to Chicago and one to Denver got cancelled. Finally, they announced that we could re-board our plane! We waited about 15 or 20 minutes for 2 other planes to take off, and finally we were able to take off! We left a bit late (3 hrs. 10 min.), but better late than never! We had some turbulence after takeoff, so they flew to a higher altitude to get above the storm, and it got much better. The rest of the flight was nice and smooth. They really put the pedal to the metal, and were able to make up about an hour of the previous delay. We arrived in Los Angeles 2 hours later than scheduled. We did make our connection with the shuttle van picking us up and getting us home, so everything worked out OK!

LOLLY, I'd hoped that we could get together for lunch or something during our trip, but oh golly, almost every minute was scheduled to the max! Our great-granddaughter, Sierra, who's 10, graduated from elementary school, and our youngest granddaughter, Courtney, had her 18th birthday and graduated from high school, all in the same week! Between pre-grad activities at both schools, a Birthday party for Courtney, and a Grad party for Court and one for one of her best friends, we were booked! In order to not have to pay a fortune for luggage, we decided to leave our laptop at home. Then, once we got to Texas, I realized that I had left your phone number and address at home in the bag with the laptop! I wish I could have at least called you, and I apologize for not contacting you. We enjoyed our visit with the kids SO much that I'm sure we will visit them again as soon as we can save up the airfare, and I WILL plan on getting together with you for lunch or something then. I hope you're not too flooded where you are! The kids said that they got several inches of rain in 2 hours at their place, and although the water was up over the curb, their house was safe. The big open field on the other side of their back fence looks like Lake Superior once again, though. They have a flash flood watch in effect until Friday at 1:00 pm, with a 60% chance of thundershowers until then. Would like to ask for Momster & Dadster prayers for them, and also for one of the stewardesses on our return flight. She got a call from her son, and her house was flooded--and she has wood floors--with no flood insurance. Yikes!

Well, I need to go get some chores done, and get myself looking presentable so Ken and I can go walking. I'll be back asap to catch you up about our visit.
Prayers for Jo, Tori, Lolly's poor finger, and everyone else! I ♥ us!

Lolly said...

Good afternoon! Ok....plan on building an ark! Or guess I could use our sub! Remember, Loweeeeeda posted a pic of it! Lol

Andy.......yes sorry we could not get together but completely understand. Family always comes first!! Always! That rain Tuesday happened between 4 and 4:30 for us. We got over two inches in 20 to 25 minutes. Up over 4 inches since then.

We just returned from Denton for Jacob's 5th grade graduation and awards ceremony. I am all for awards but not so much in favor of a big graduation from elementary school to middle school. However, this school played Pomp and Circumstance as they walked in. Parents cheered and yelled. They brought balloons, flowers, and I saw a candy bar arrangement. Never was in favor of a graduation from kindergarten either!! I think graduation comes at the end of 12th grade and college!

Jacob received a reading excellence award as well as awards in all the other subjects. We checked him out, took him to Braums for lunch and then took him home. Summer has begun, though it is cool and rai IMG!

Thin I am going to take a nap. I am yawning!

Hi all - it's the end of my next to the last work week!

Andy, I'm glad you and Ken had a nice visit with family. Sounds like you had quite a flight! I'm sure Emma was delighted to see her people!

Lolly, I'm with ya on the whole "graduation" thing from kindergarten, 5th grade, and 8th grade!

Waiting for Miss Freyja to wake from her nap to head out for dinner at a local Italian place.

Will check in tomorrow morning.

hi all.

sad news. blue angel went down here in TN. 1 confirmed casualty. assuming it was the pilot. no definite info...yet so sad.

blessed be.

Hoda said...

I can not find any news from Robyn or Tori.
Anyone else has any updates?
Prayers continue.

I am with you Lolly and Sandi about graduation. A celebration as they transition from one school to another is appropriate, a graduation is over doing it.
The Louvre in Paris France is closed due to flooding. Artifacts have to be moved to higher floors. They have not seen anything like it since the early 1900's!
We are getting rain too. More thunder and lightning but also some rain.
Went to Home Schoolers theatrical presentations today. The kids were awesome. So very cool.
A new stint of house sitting starts tomorrow.
Nelson has. Syrian Refugee family and they have settled in nicely. I will be more involved in translating as the summer progresses.
So many blessings we all have.

Wow, thanks everyone for posting updates on Tori.
How is Robyn holding up? She is pretty amazing!

Sandi, what's up that Janey is so susceptible to hook worms?
Glad you have a diagnosis.

Lolly, unbelievable all the rain you have had.
Cannot even imagine all that rain in 25 minutes.
I think it's ark time if we get that much in a weekend!

We're supposed to get big t-storms here
on Sunday, so I hope the eaglets wait until it's over.

Agree with you all ... graduation is a 12th grade & college occasion.

Did not see Kay on this thread or Jerry on this morning.
Hope everything is okay for them. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥

I assume you all have seen the news about the pilot who died in the crash (blue angels) down the road in Smyrna. As a former military family....it hits hard and hits home.....holding them all close and in light and love.

Same for Robyn and Tori: not sure how you manage in such a situation.....but I suppose you do what you have to do when you have no choices...

continued light and love for each of you....

its Friday....RED FRIDAY....even more significant today....first week of summer break is done now. its been so busy...2 birthdays....work....yardwork, etc....just go go go.

hope everyone is safe nd well, LOLLY: hope you are doing okay with all that rain!
take care and will check in later!

Goodorming my eagle friends. The dogs let me sleep til 6:30 this morning - maybe they understand it's time for retirement mode.

Both eaglets are up and picking at leftovers in the nest. It looks like a gray morning in Shepherdstwon - same here. Thunderstorms are in the forecast for the next 2 days here.

Lynnis and Freyja will be leaving today - Lynnis has a friend coming to her parents' house to visit from North Carolina, then Lynnis's brother's wedding is next Tuesday. It has been so great to see them, especially Freyjita!

I can tell that Janey is starting to feel better - she has had more energy on walks and even did some zoomies in the yard last night.

Jo, prayers continue for you. I'm watching my Mr. & Mrs. Cardinal eating cracked corn on the back deck right now.
