Just finishing up my second cup of coffee, so I think my brain is functioning reasonably well at this point. Plenty of things on my to do list today, so I will check in when I can.
Checked out the OC comments. Nice post, Sharon. Quite a variety of people post on there. Some are quite reasonable. Others not so much.
Good morning to all ♥ It is a little damp out there - shower early early morning.
Jenny is visiting this morning - that is why I'm late getting here.
Prayers for all of our needs - I need to rid myself of a nasty head cold. Nine times out of ten I will be in the Dr's tomorrow. MRI today at 3pm. Nap time so just maybe the noise won't keep me from it.
Wet nest - parent doing as best as can be expected with 2 active bobble-heads.
Shirley, I only had 1 1/2 cups so I may not be making much sense!
So JUDIE and KAY are able to read the facebook comments under the cam also being that they don't have facebook Can you all make comments on it ?? just wondering
Yes, JudyE, you can post a comment right there on the cam page. There really isn't a FB page associated with the comments under the cam. But I don't think you can comment unless you have a FB account.
Teri and Deb have their own FB page that they named Eagle cam...a little confusing since it is NOT affiliated with the Outdoor Channel
Good morning! Getting ready to "walk" and then outdoors I go! Walking time is cam watching time. Just peeked in and saw eaglets covered by parent. Parent was looking around and calling out.
Got my X-ray report on shoulder. Everything is great, so now on to MRI, I guess. Will wait to hear from doctor. Not in a big hurry!
JudyE - confusion with FB Eagle Cam is that is only covers the NCTC nest activities - Debi Chiappini covers am hours and then Terri Bayles covers pm hours. You just have to respect that our Shep is their Ben.
On FB there is a page Live Eagle Cam with the outdoor channel BUT comments are few and far between.
I'd say that our FB Eaglet Momsters and Eagle Cam are the 2 most used for NCTC nest.
I did not know that Debi did the am and Teri did the pm neat to know
odd that there are lots on comments on the live cam feed I just never think to go there until someone mentions it I do see Steve is on there every once in a while
I read the loon blog - the loon couple has returned and after some adjustments Larry said: I am hoping that we will be able to "go live" with the LoonCam in the next couple days.
both are gone been putting pic on fb and forgot to say that the kids are alone with a large stick that was brought in not placed properly yet come back and put your sticks away please and thanks you
I think they are expecting them to do the arranging of the stick after nap time lol was funny to watch like one looked at the other are you gonna move that lol I should be doing somehting but I am sitting on the porch swing just swinging away
One of my pleasures is to have the loon cam back for an all-to-brief time. Thanks, Jo. Thanks to Larry for providing the lovely platform/cam. Thinking Thoreau would be pleased, Shirley.
Gloomy kind of day but brightened up the inside by arranging some new silk flowers of the Spring variety. Vases of Daffodils and Lilies. May go back and get some Forsythia as an added decorative touch. lol
Thinking of Jo napping during her MRI. Do not like being in the tube but am grateful for the technology. I always ask for ear plugs and that the technician speak every few minutes. Imagine being forgotten and everyone goes home for the night. lol
MRI does not bother me! Lie back, close my eyes, pillow beneath my knees and enjoy the down time.
Eagles provided lots of entertainment while walking. Think Judy described it all. Lots of coming and going, feeding eaglets, putting sticks on them (discipline?) bringing in of flugg and logs, one of which is right at the egg cup. What is with their parenting skills? Back to class parents! Eagle School for you!!! Just down the street!
I had a good talk with Justin last night. I have decided that I really need to let him find his own way and live his life. I will be here for him whenever he needs me and maybe he is more capable of living a good life than I give him credit for. He said he was getting ready to put her little boy to bed. She was working. So for now, I am going to let him be a grown up.
I'm not sure that a windy day is the best time to build the crib rails up. They certainly have enough flugg in that nest to shield the babies from everything. That branch just will not cooperate and go where they are trying to put it. #thestruggleisreal

The Loons are back!
Larry's Loon Blog has started !

both adults in nest
I recall the first time I watched the loons I was unaware of the loud calls that they do I jumped big time first time I heard them
one eagle poofed and other one went to launch pad one chick big is awake
adult is eating Big is on e the cove well sort of the other is waking up also both looking on looks like a wall of flugg in front of them
lol lol both just stood up on their butts and at the same time both fell over lol that was so cute
big is being feed and other watching
Thanks Jo, forgot about the Live Eagle Cam page on FB...and you're right, not much there...I did look at it recently, but then forgot about it!
still feeding big middle is just watching not reaching in yet
Good morning my eagle budlets.
As far as posting on the OC forum, I am pretty sure anyone can and if you have a Facebook page, you can post it to that too.
now feeding the other at this angle they look almost same size big is still getting in his bites
poop shoot
there is a stick on our chicks
adult moved stick
other adult flies in and moves stick almost back on chicks but on other side of them silly adult
Loons--I first heard them in Minnesota.
Henry David Thoreau mentions their call in his writing, so I used that as a reason to let my students hear it. :)
kids are out and parents are working on opposite ends of nest 11 / 5
poof out the back door it seems
both back in with big stick
another large stick delivered
I read the loon blog - the loon couple has returned and after some adjustments Larry said:

Judy - Why do you think Shep and Belle moved the little stick and then put the limb in it's place? lol
I think they are expecting them to do the arranging of the stick after nap time lol was funny to watch like one looked at the other are you gonna move that lol I should be doing somehting but I am sitting on the porch swing just swinging away
Big clunk on cam
eagle chirping calling so sweet
no more calls
all is quite

Back to my chores and watching the eaglets.
I'll be back later today
Take care and keep an eye on our nest

Now to start my day outside. Later Gators!
Maybe that stick is to keep them in place! LOL
Hadn't thought of asking the technician to speak every few minutes while I'm in the MRI thing. Good idea, Judie.
I did ask for some music last time. Christmas music, it was.
Don't think I could go to sleep in there. Not too bad, but I am happy when it is over.
kids are stirring or one is I should say can't tell adult in
flugg dumped on eaglets and attic is rocking
both in and dkids working out of flugg
stick got moved
poof one adult the other was moving big hunk of flugg at the cup area and now just standing there
Adult at the 11 spot...working on nestovers.
The little eating machines finally taking notice of parent...they are probably hungry again!
Nope, maybe not :)
NICE fish brought in
one adult remains at 11 the other poofed I think that was Belle that brought in the fish anyone else chime in I thought I saw the V on her neck
adult dragging fresh fish kids seem to be stirring
adult just standing at 11 talons on fish and kids are not interested
We have the open MRI here which makes it a totally different experience.
I had a good talk with Justin last night. I have decided that I really need to let him find his own way and live his life. Kids look interested in that fishy now....Adult starting to work on it
Hmmm started from the other end...adult just gulped down the tail
#1 going first...#2 moving in now for some
Both getting plenty to eat...#2 probably more than #1
And back down into the cup...feeding over...parent took off the back of the nest
I'm not sure that a windy day is the best time to build the crib rails up. They certainly have enough flugg in that nest to shield the babies from everything. That branch just will not cooperate and go where they are trying to put it. #thestruggleisreal
Both parents in nest...Shep at the bottom, Belle at the top
So she just moved to the launch pad...Shep digging in the bowl
She is eating the fish at the launch pad. Kids snoozing in the cup
Shep at the top of the nest
Off goes Shep. Belle Eating. Kids snoozing. Life is good :)
Shep back with more flugg. The kids will be totally covered in no time :)
Belle out...
Looks like more rain marching our way for this evening
Lots of in and outs...Belle back, Shep out
I believe there is a new thread...
