BTW, someone on the OC forum posted yesterday morning that Shep brought in the fish and then Belle took it when she landed. I didn't see his arrival with my own eyes and DANAWV, you think Belle brought the fish in. So, I would still like to SEE Shep show up with a fish to know that he's over that next hurdle!
OK I got a few min of petting time for Benny and then she came along to play and they are playing again HE will come up to me and rub on my leggs and when he does that he wants petted and we move to couch he doesn't seem to want to sit on lap on chair but beside me on couch So I am back for a bit
Benny just put her in her place I guess he just wants to chill in the middle of kitchen on the rug and she wanted to play well a big couple of HISSes and now they both are laying still
Judye, my new kitty isn't much of a lap sitter. He was when I first got him. I guess I shooed him off my lap too many times while I was eating. He does like to snuggle in bed though. And especially at 430 am he sits on my face or neck.
Good Sun. AM, Eagle Dudettes and Dudes! I see Belle is sitting pretty, with LOTS of fresh flugg!! Snowing here; started again around 5. Not any appreciable accumulation since it re-started, and doubt that there will be. It's very wet, Temp is 32°. Agree that the blue tint earlier was due to weather and the nightlight that ISN'T!!
Have one lone male cardinal on the corn with the squirrels. Rare that he would be solo. Surely cards aren't nesting yet!
Too lazy to check back but I think Belle arrived around 6:45am and hasn't left. Almost 2 hours, yet she's been standing, not settling in the egg cup. Morning Thelma!
LYNNE on your face LOL Last nite he came to bed with me and I was lying on my side so he went to the bottom of me bed legg area now they are playing again

LYNN, you and JudyE are right... the first one I took is the best one for a Christmas card. At least it's on my blog and saved...maybe I'll remember it's there when it comes time to use it! lol
And there's CarolAnne! Are you fixing a big country breakfast? I am really hungry for an over-easy egg.....but don't want the grease. Gonna try frying in water--guess it will be a shallowly shirred egg! Did you get my recipes??
Okay, locals....here's a good one for you. DC Fox weathergal listing snow amounts: Stephenson WV---NOT, it's VA Keezer, WV--try Keyser as in Kaiser. Berryville, WV---try VA
Hey, Lynn...mistakes like that (the weather girl) drive me crazy, just as mistakes in the journal. Those people are being paid big $$ for their shabby work!
Don't know if I should try to go to church this morning or not. Guess I let Capt. Gene decide:) Then, if I fall, it will be his fault..no,no, no...just kidding!
I put picture in Feb. album there are some that have the blue tint. JudyE I did put a picture in. Not showing HP but said that JudyE (I think I said) Caught HP and put the time. Didn't put one in about 2nd HP darn. Well I haven't had that much sleep and my fingers are doing things I don't want them to do. So that is it.
Thelma so you did see yesterday that Belle brought in the fish?????? Thanks so much for saying so b/c we did to know if Shep is bringing any food to the nest.Thank You Again.
DanaMo - not sure where I got friends chart. Believe is was from one of my UK friends. Can you just copy & paste to get your copy?
Lynn - will wait for Bubby to arise & fix breakfast. Believe it will be egss & sausage (@home it would just be oatmeal). got the recipes & amendment - thanks!
Sandi - there is much to love about WI - I bet you'd love it if you gave it a try. What I love about being at the cottage is the CLEAN, FRESH air.
CostumeLady- God is everywhere - and he knows why you are praising him from home - Be Careful.
CAROLANNE...you sure have that right, about God...but I REALLY miss my church family. I have been a member of this church since I was 16 yrs. old. So, these folks are really like family:) Just as you all are♥
Wanda, thank you--I agree about the big bucks. The journalist in me just gets SO irate. Planter is very pretty----so glad it is brightening your desk! I think you would be fine to goto church. Bet you have cabin fever! We know that Gene won't let anything happen to you!!
CarolAnne, how long will you stay at the cabin? Home in time for SuperBowl? Cannot believe the ALL DAY TV junk. Just how much do they think they can say beforehand???
Will be at cottage thru tomorrow, arrived on Friday. Will not be home for Super Bowl - may try to catch it on internet or radio.
We do have Super Bowl snacks though. Could go find a tavern somewhere & watch. 4 taverns, a tiny store, & a church make up the nearest community. (3 taverns & store are for sale).
Morning Wanda, Shirley, and anyone else I may be missing! CarolAnne, no matter how beautiful Wisconsin may be, I could never love it! Seriously, I cannot tolerate cold - I'd live in Florida if the choice was entirely mine! I've got my stuffed pepper soup in the crockpot (I'll let you all know how it is this evening) and I'm off to get ready for tennis! BBL!
Bubby moving slow - so have another minute or two here.
Speaking of recipes - just a REMINDER: If you have any recipes to share, favorite food comments (B. cookies, o. cr. pies, etc,) favorite restaurant menu item, favorite food memories (grandma use to make, aunties specialty) please email them to me (email on blog)- hope to have them all by March 1, so I can have a collection for all by the non-Open House weekend. Have some great ones already, some humerous ones, and a few great stories to go with them.
Wanda, if you aren't having any spasms, then don't get the script filled!!! Sometimes the exertion of PT can cause muscle cramping, but if it isn't, GOOD ON YOU!!
Hi, Shirley!! What are you up to this weekend? Been missing you!
Good Sunday Morning! Our nest looks as though our Royal Couple is flugging the snow to make it melt..... for a good reason I presume. Tomorrow is Sandra Osborne's birthday and they may be planning a surprise for her like one other year.
Hope all is well and interested to see is my comment finds you....♥
Gee, Hoda---did you know that there was a 5.7 quake off of BC coast yesterday??? There was no danger of tsunami. SO good to know AFTER the fact, huh??!!
Weather in So Cal: beautiful, clear, but desertish and dry. Winds are supposed to come up later.
Eyes: better each day; I'm able to read some of the small print now if I hold it at a distance. I've been using a 6X magnifier with a 10X loupe for most reading, and it was getting veeeerrrrry difficult with that.
was cruising through some of the past "February Nest" pictures that I have saved over the last few years very interesting, including the different views we have had on the cam over the years
I fed the squirrels. One little guy stayed and listened to me talk to him and showed some interest in the peanuts I threw towards him. I waited until he left to approach the fence where I put the food.
One squirrel is not munching away, and George is watching through the window with great interest.
For Wanda: not sure if you are out in this weather or not ... I read your posts, and I know where your heart is on Sunday mornings....
I'm actually GLAD you made it out of the hospital before my card got there.....and grateful that Jo posted the hospital address for us...and I'm sure Dana and everyone else feels the very same way as well.
I'm just going to put that card in another envelope or see if the post office will allow ME to forward it to you
I don't dare encourage squirrels here... don't want another between-the- ceiling-and-floor-space apartment dweller like I struggled with for 18 months...
Cleaned last night, watched a movie, and slept in! Working on laundry and other chores...heading to friends house for the big game...shrimp, dogfood dip, salad...
Nick is full of it this morning...he knows I'm staying home. I am tossing a toy and he is running around in circles, then lays down and chews it, then finally I call him to bring it back and I throw it again for him.
Two of my ggd received First Communion at the Episcopalian church this morning. I am waiting for a call to meet up with them for lunch or late breakfast.
Light flurries still going on here in my valley. Roads are clear... It was a nice portion of the storm... Thank you Lord ♥

And there's CarolAnne! Are you fixing a big country breakfast?
I am really hungry for an over-easy egg.....but don't want the grease. Gonna try frying in water--guess it will be a shallowly shirred egg!
Did you get my recipes??
LORI, I like the first one as well - like the blue tint and the fact that they're facing each other, looking affectionate!
Gorgeous pictures of the trees and beautiful blue sky, CAROLANNE!
Wish ours was a blue today. I love when you can capture the sun streaming through like that.
Okay, locals....here's a good one for you. DC Fox weathergal listing snow amounts:
Stephenson WV---NOT, it's VA
Keezer, WV--try Keyser as in Kaiser.

Ticks me off!
And she's been there a long time!

CarolAnne, how long will you stay at the cabin? Home in time for SuperBowl? Cannot believe the ALL DAY TV junk. Just how much do they think they can say beforehand???
Good thing about this blog, you can visit with each other from your sick bed or in a snow storm...no problem:)
LYNN, question: Doc gave me a script for cyclobenzapr (for spasms)...what spasms, I have no spasms. Any idea what he means?
Do understand about church family & "shut-in angst". Maybe the good Capt. Gene can take you for a Sunday ride.
Morning Stronghunter,
I'm about to slide out of here as Bubby has crawled out of bed, so I leave you my spot.
Take care all - will lurk as time allows.
Good morning, Shirley. I haven't heard any HUNTERISMS. Has he been behaving himself or is he running out of ideas to trick Grandma?
Morning Wanda, Shirley, and anyone else I may be missing! CarolAnne, no matter how beautiful Wisconsin may be, I could never love it! I see snowflakes coming down on the nest.

Must go feed my squirrel friends. They are looking for their breakfast.

Kathryn and I ran a lot of errands on Friday, so we're not doing much else this weekend.
Pretty quiet around here.
Wonder how many avalanches will be caused by that earthquake?
Good Morning Eagle Pals ♥
the fluff on the nest, to me, looks like a little airplane with a Heart ♥ for a head
Hi Margy,
I see the airplane/heart, too.
And there's Jo and Margy!! Hope you slept in!!
Shirley, presuming that Hunter is with his dad this weekend? Good that you and Kat can chill!
Cam keeps stopping on me.....play says not available, so have to refresh. PIA!
Hunter has been busy with the Tony Hawk skateboarding computer game.
Hunter is here with us.

That's wonderful, Jim
We are so happy when you arrive and share your good news

I loved CarolAnne's post, caught just about all of our interests and events. Thanks CarolAnne ☺

If the squirrels don't eat the peanuts I threw in the grass, the dogs will eat them. I have seen them do that before.
and of course the E-M albums have lots and lots of nest pictures to gaze upon
re-read my emails, and saved, the one from my friend,
Rocking Circle R, Jenny, that arrived on Feb 10, 2006, informing me of the Nest Cam at NCTC
just slow snow flakes, Jim...
nothing too much more expected
I don't dare encourage squirrels here...
don't want another between-the- ceiling-and-floor-space apartment dweller like I struggled with for 18 months...
but I love to watch them....
at other places
time for me to move along...
Best Wishes for a Good Day, Eagle Pals
