LYNN, I'll bet you're up and at em' by now. Here's hoping the doc fixes your knee up with a pain relieving injection. Don't want you all gimpy at the OBX next week !

WANDA, my heart took a leap when I saw your post about giving that doe a good little bump. I see deer almost daily in this neighbor hood and have had a couple of close calls with them !

HODA, the story about the woman collapsing in the hospital and how she was treated is absolutely horrendous. What in the world was that staff thinking ?

SHIRLEY, you are leading an interesting 1st year of retirement life. Never a dull moment ! Glad you have a cardiologist who you can trust and also glad he isn't leaving anything to chance.

DanaMo said...

Wow I think that's the first time I took the ride on the split!! Wheee

Kay said...

ANDY, good on you for the pay raise. It's clear that doctor is very happy with your work ! No surprise to your fellow Momsters, of course !

WVDANA, hope you're getting some good zzzzz's after sharing precious memories of Ed with us.

Kay said...

JO, great news regarding the retina report ! You set a great example for your family and friends with your "routine" check ups.

LORETTA, sure hope Sherry's wedding photos are retrievable. What a daunting task it is to recover from a devastating fire.

Kay said...

7:00 a.m., so time for my newspapers. HAGD everyone ! Will try to check in after the boys go home this afternoon/evening.

hedgie said...

Good too early AM!!

Wow---Hoda, that is a horrible story. Shame on them. I know that here if someone has an emergency in the hospital parking lot and isn't ambulatory, an ambulance must be called....but don't think it applies to within the building. Doesn't sound like she got to see her husband before he passed. :(

Tugs for many dogs! Lori, you're a sweetie!
Thelma DID post a pic on FB of Buddy in her bed a few days ago!!!

Kay, enjoy your Seth/Malcolm day! Is Seth putting in any work hours now that school is back in session?

hedgie said...

I'm so glad that Margy is going to accept Lori's puter into her roost!! I think you are going to be surprised, Margy, at how much better things will run----and the dinosaur won't mind!!! It wants to retire :)

hedgie said...

Shirley, glad you found the card table. Have a mental pic of bridge ladies with their wine! :)

Unconfirmed reports that Gaddafi/Khadafi has been captured....?????? MTBR.

hedgie said...

Yep, Kay----early bird again this morning. UGH! MAke-up done-check; hair dried-check; Liesl is waking up, so time to let her out and feed her. Curling iron should be hot now, too!

hedgie said...

Oh, yeah, Andy---great that Dr. is giving you that raise!!!! Congrats for your excellence!!

DanaMo said...

Going to be lonely driving from Goretti to St. Mary without Annemarie, but I will be able to listen to Lori ♫ ♫ ♥

DanaMo said...

Oh glad you said curling iron Lynn, I need to go unplug mine!

Good morning!

Lori O. said...

DanaWV, now I have a moment to "talk" to you. I loved your post about you and Ed. Your relationship must have been so special that you have a love that still burns for him as strong as it does. I can't wait to meet you in person and give you a big hug on Monday!

stronghunter said...

Good morning,

Cartoons going full blast this morning.

I need more coffeeeeee!!

Got my big mug this morning.

Lori O. said...

Pumpkin Spice coffee is in the kitchen, Shirley. I think there's a few pastries left. :)

stronghunter said...

They are from my former life in the doctor/lawyer neighborhood, but we have been friends for many, many years.

They really dug into the snacks and wine. Kathryn said they were asking if we had another bottle of the white wine, so she found more in the refrigerator. I enjoy seeing people have fun. (They had a designated driver--they all came together.)

Lori O. said...

Dang, I just realized I was stuck over on the last page thinking no one was here. LOL!

hedgie said...

Excellent words of wisdom from Jack Hanna....so much emotion for/from all involved.....such a tragic event. Gov. issued immediate law to ban exotic animals in OH. A little bit late, dontcha' think?

Kay said...

I just had to come back after seeing the hopeful news of Khadafi's capture----I see LYNN is way out ahead of me with:

"Unconfirmed reports that Gaddafi/Khadafi has been captured....?????? MTBR."

Seems a little more certain now as "they" say they have him and he's badly wounded, but breathing. Here's hoping the report is correct !

LYNN, Seth has worked a couple of Saturday's this Fall, but nothing regular. He's a busy guy this year--on the school newspaper staff and has joined both the International Club and the Environmental Club. He also has Phys. Ed at Ohio State every Friday evening---exercise and swimming. His Junior year is shaping up to be a very good one !

Lynne2 said...

OK running to work, thought I'd have more time to blob, no such luck.

Say a prayer for us....just after I signed off last night, I realized there was a message on the phone. It was from the car dealer guy, and he asked that we call him ASAP. Will call him from work. UGH! Cannot imagine what he wants...we have the title, we have the tags. He didn't say...oh I was just calling to see how everything was going with car. UGH UGH UGH.

Have a good day everyone!

Linda said...

Good Morning!

I see everyone has been up and at 'em early this morning.

Hope everyone is having a good start to their day.

Now where is that coffee.......

Kay said...

Yep, the OH guv is right on top of things. Hope voters will remember he let the former governors emergency act on the keeping of exotic animals expire early this year. Ohio has many such "animal preserves" within it's borders and there have been injuries and problems at many of them. The State only regulates those who open their gates to the public for profit and this was not one of those. Shame, shame, shame. Poor animals !!!!

hedgie said...

SUN is shining!!

Now report is that Gaddafi MAY have been wounded or killed.....but no reliable confirmation.

Kay said...

LYNNE, sorry you don't have time to "blob", but will look forward to hearing from you later. We'll all be dying to know what that dealer has to say now !

Hello, LINDA ! Hope you and Dennis had a restful night. Headache all gone ?

DanaMo said...

Got to hear you Lori, but my ride is too short! ☺

Linda said...

Hello to you, Kay!!

Yep, the headache is gone ......for about a week now!! Yipee!

Dennis is doing good, so far. He's being careful and taking it easy, which is hard for him. He vividly remembers the pain and horror he went through last week, which is keeping him from pushing it! He says he never wants to go through that again!

stronghunter said...

News report on Gadhafi on ABC now. They are saying he is dead, but no independent confirmation.

Linda said...

KAY - LOL on your 26k miles. Dennis will be right behind you! His truck is a year old and only a little over 3k miles! Of course we do have my car to run around in and it gets better gas mileage, but we are both homebodies!

DanaMo said...

Fire drill! Geez...what a way to start the day.

stronghunter said...

Can't say how many times a fire drill got things all disrupted just when I had gotten them settled. Yes, they're necessary, but . . .

stronghunter said...

Shower time here. BBL.

hedgie said...

Now they are saying he is dead!! Hope it's true. It's sure been long overdue.

hedgie said...

Hi, Lynne.....sure hope the car dealer doesn't have any bad news to convey......Good luck!

Kay, Seth does sound like he is keeping busy! Does he have college preferences yet? Local so that he lives at home??

Shirley, you didn't go back to bed after getting Hunter off this AM?

Oh, yuck---fire drills! Yeah---big disruption.

Okay, time to log off. See you all this afternoon. Have a good one!

hedgie said...

P.S. NABC had a dusting of snow yesterday AM!
Bears

Kay said...

LINDA, happy to hear the headache is gone and that the memory of pain is keeping Dennis under control !

LYNN, I'm with you--hoping the demon possessed fiend is gone.

Time to give Malcolm some TLC. BBL

Morning Lori, Kay, DanaMo, Margy (working),Hedgie-Lunn/e, Lynne2, Shirley, and Linda.

Does anyone know anything about Diann. As to why she has not been on the blog? Maybe there was a comment where she say why but
I either can't remember or missed it. I am starting to WORRY!!!!?????????

Kay it sounds like you are ready for Malcolm and Seth. For some happy times today. Oh my Kay it does sound like Seth is getting involved in school Clubs, swimming, school newspaper staff.
I was on the school newspaper love to hear when other young boys or girl get involved with that.

Neat DanaMo in charge of the schools fb page you must be very happy about that. I know we
are!!!!!!!

Lori so is your real name Glori?
Hoping the kittens are doing better.
I know Liesl is going to be so happy with her tug Lori. Oh you should see her. Such a happy dogie. ( : Lori that is so nice of you to give Margy your computer. She will be on a race track lol

Hedgie-Lynn/e I am reading your comment about if someone isn't ambulatory or has an emergency in the hospital parking lot.
An ambulance must be called. I didn't know that. Wouldn't it take longer for an ambulance to come than for emergency people to help
that person?? I know you have gone for your shot. Hope you see this and can give an answer when
you get back. Prayers the shot works well for you!!!!

wvgal_dana said...

Yes I am so happy that Andy got a raise from the doctors work. She certainly deserves (lol I had typed desires it) it.
I'm sure Andy does that too lol

Shirley retirement is agreeing with you. It is nice that you are there for Kathryn and Hunter. What timing God has even for things like that. I bet you enjoy watching
them and was involved in the laughter. YES you need a back GATE.

Hedgie-Lynn/e at least there is a law NOW in place.

Lynne2 hoping it isn't bad news about the car. Praying for GOOD news for you and Steve.

Linda so good to hear the headache is gone and that Dennis is doing well and NOT overdoing.

The last report they have gave it has not been confirmed is that Gadhafi is dead. I am hoping that soon they can confirm.

Thanks Hedgie-Lynn/e for that wonderful "bear report".

wvgal_dana said...

Oh Delphia (Bird Girl) I hope the rescue can capture the hawk.

Bird Girl said...

It's really sad, because there is no way it was accidental. The bird has been seen feeding on a gopher but seemed to be in pain doing so. He won't last much longer...hopefully he will weaken enough to not be able to fly away, and the rescue can catch him and fix him up.

As for the [CENSORED] idiot who shot him...well, it's unlikely he will be caught. I doubt he even feels bad that he didn't kill the bird. I hope he gets a nice visit from Karma.

wvgal_dana said...

Delphia I enlarged the picture of the hawk. You can "clearly" see the nail through there. He they you said has been eating. Which makes it harder to trap him. They don't want to use nets because the nail could get stuck in the net and cause more injury to the hawk. So he has to be hungry to get caught in the traps the rescuers have set up. Please God usher the hawk into one of the traps.

Bird Girl said...

That's correct, there is a great deal of risk with various methods of capture for this hawk. With plenty of food around him, he is less likely to end up being hungry enough to go after the food in the traps. However, my guess is he WILL deteriorate and eventually be weak enough to be caught safely.

At least....that's what I'm hoping will happen.

wvgal_dana said...

NOT A LINK Ok I had emailed Diann and got an answer back. Here is what she wrote me:

Hi Dana.

Thanks for checking on me. Haven't been on the computer for several days except to read email occasionally.

Have been dealing with some side effects of the new medicine and the back pain is back. Trying to get the right dosage but it's really helping.

I'll try to check in on the blog soon as I can.

Hugs to you too.
Diann - PA Nana

So we need to be sending up some prayers for Diann.

wvgal_dana said...

Shirley I spoke wsith Irene-fuzzleeye on Sunday the 16th. She does have a fb page but she said she just never goes there. She just hasn't been on the blog. Said to tell everyone "HELLO". She said her mode of contact is usually email.

Good Morning, Everyone!

Have a few minutes to gab after catching up here.

Hoda, absolutely can't believe what the hospital staff put that poor woman through! SHAME on them!
Feel SO sorry for her.

Linda, glad the headache is gone. What a blessed relief!

Lynn, thank you for the bear report.

Delphia, prayers that they can capture & rehab the R.T. Hawk--poor bird.

WV Dana, thanks for checking on Diann. Prayers that the side effects of the new meds go away, and she gets some real pain relief! Glad you were able to contact Irene, too. Hope all's well with her.

Boy, that pumpkin-flavored coffee sounds yummy! Think I'll mosey to the kitchen and look for some. Need the high-octane stuff this morning. Will be back after feeding and brushing Emma. Hope everyone is having a good day! :o]

Good morning! Wow, we slept late this morning. Jack is now out working on the back fence. We think the swampy conditions we had almost two years ago rotted the posts. Sure wasn't the drought this past year!

Still feeling about the same...not terrifically sick but not well either. Dern!

Certainly hope Lynn gets a shot in her knee and that it helps. Want her to enjoy her b_____ trip!

Lori, that is fantastic that you are giving our Margy you old laptop. Yea!!!!!!! Yes, it is time for the dinosaur to retire!

Lolly said...

Wonder what's up with the car dealership????? That is wild!

Have a great day!

Hoda said...

Good morning/ Good afternoon.

I am glad things are well at LINDA and DENNIS' Roost. Prayers continue for Dennis.

I do not know if the wwoman who had the mistreatment in the Niagra Regional Husband got to see her husband before he died. My impression was she did not but they did not specifically say that in the report. I do not know what the staff was thinking but with an investigation by the MINISTRY of HEALTH I am sure someone is gong to be held accountable...people here are upset about it...

Overcast day here and yet the colours continue to be stunning. I like opening the blinds to be greeted by the colours.

Mema Jo I sent you an email. I have to leave to go in to Mothers.

hedgie said...

Hello---I'm home. Knee injected, store run complete, mail stopped.....and now to read papers and catch up.
I see that it has been confirmed that Gaddafiis dead. Good riddance!

Ortho thinks that I have a tear in the meniscus...wants an MRI and then probably arthroscopic repair...told him it can wait until I know more about the other situation.

Had a message from Drs. office that they have my referral set up...can't call them back until after their lunch break.

hedgie said...

BTW, Kay----tell Seth that your momster friend was the Editor of my HS paper, college paper, and General Motors plant paper!! Maybe journalism will be in his sights!! It was all I ever wanted....but Dad getting sick blew the college fund, so I was stuck at a local jr. college---and more or less shoved into nursing because "you can always fall back on it." BLAH! BLEAH!!

Hoda said...

LYNN I am glad you are back from Ortho and injection is done. Hope it eases things off.

hedgie said...

Yes, Dana, of course it takes longer, but the hospital can't ASSUME that the injured/sick person wants to come to their facility, and can't "recruit" people to enter, and can't be responsible for emergent/triage care outside their building.

hedgie said...

Good Lord, Delphia.....what kind of A-hole goes around shooting wildlife with a nail gun???? He would have to been awfully close----as IN CAPTIVITY maybe???? Poor thing....I sure hope the rehab folks can get him and help him. :(

Bird Girl said...

Hedgie, the person could have been several yards away actually. My guess is he saw the bird in his yard or work area, possibly on the ground feeding, and decided to shoot it. There are many people who feel hawks and other raptors are nuisance animals.

I got a call a couple of weeks back from an elderly gentleman, he said he and his wife feed the pigeons in their backyard, but a "big black" hawk has perched in their palm tree and it's scaring the birds. He wanted to know how to get rid of the hawk. I told him that (a) it's against the law to harrass the bird in anyway, (b) you're attracting his food source in one easy, convenient place (his reply: "They eat pigeons?!??") and (c) the only way to get rid of the hawk was to stop feeding the birds.

If you attract the prey, you attract the predator.

hedgie said...

Gave that older feloow a good lesson, Delphia!
I did not know that a nail gun could be aimed with that kind of accuracy. Should be considered a lethal weapon!

hedgie said...

Sure hope Diann gets her meds adjusted for the maximum effect witrh the fewest side effects.

Andy, I reiterate Jo's comment---we are ALL SO proud of you!!!!

Hi, Linda! And Lolly, too! THe L's have ALL checked in today, I do believe!

Mema Jo said...

I replied to your email, Dana.

Bird Girl said...

Actually, hedgie, I think a nail gun IS considered a deadly weapon, if used that way. For instance, if used in the commission of a crime.

They're scary powerful!

hedgie said...

I wonder if any person has ever had his name spelled as many different ways as Gaddafi/Khadafi, Qaddafi has????!!!!! I remember reading once that the media had all decided on one spelling....but have sure seen all the others used recently.

Well I'm off. Have a good day/night everyone!

Mema Jo said...

Way to go Wanda! I hope you are swamped with costume requests ♥
You know, it is that time of the year!

Mema Jo said...

I forgot to mention to you all that my dr did call me yesterday with Lumbar X-Ray results. I have known him for years so when he called I jokingly asked "Tell me - am I falling apart?" He sort of laughed and said, "No, in fact you are tightening up". He said that all the vertebrae were in place and
arthritis was there but that it is the 'in-between' where the problem lies. I will be going back to see him and probably he'll want some physical therapy .
He says keep up the Advil and that my kidneys are ok. So I carry a cane!! It helps steady myself and is a 'just in case'. In the morning when I awaken and put my feet on the floor - I just pray they & the legs will work! ♥

Hi--

After I got Hunter off to school, I rushed around and went to bowling practice. One of the women on my team has been helping me. Last week, she even used one of her free bowling coupons for me to practice. So, today I used a free bowling coupon for both of us.

I was tired after rushing around and staying up late yesterday, so I took a nap as soon as I got home.

I was so rushed that I did not get back on here before I took off.

From WCV: :(
This morning, Center wildlife rehabilitators found Bear Cub #11-2531 dead in the bear enclosure. This is the smaller, quieter of the two cubs admitted after the sow was killed in Suffolk on Monday.

At this point, the veterinary team does not know why cub #11-2531 died. The Southeastern Cooperative Wildlife Disease Study at the University of Georgia will perform a necropsy on the cub. It will likely take several weeks to receive results.

And it HAS to be done no later than Monday. SO, I am assuming that the car did NOT pass inspection, work was to be done and it was to have been re-inspected to see if it would then pass. This was clearly not done or we'd not need to take it back. I am now unsure how we were able to get tags and title without a legal inspection. And the car is likely NOT insured if there was no inspection. This is all just speculation as I will need to make some calls tomorrow to find out for sure.

Lynne2 said...

It occurred to me when the dealer called that we have NOT gotten any insurance cards for the car. I had called Statefarm the day we bought it, and as it was a Saturday, I spoke not with our agent, but with the 24/7 customer service person. I gave her all of the info. She said that the agent would take car of the transfer of insurance and I should have paperwork in 14 business days. That time has passed. SO I called them again this morning, customer service that is, and they DO have the info, and told me that they would contact the agent and have them call me ASAP regarding the issue. Unknown why he didn't contact us. I also asked for a transfer to a different agent as this guy is a doody head. So with TWO messages to the agent regarding the car, I did get a call from the office today. And the lady did NOT leave a message about the car at all!!! Instead, she was asking about WHY WE WANTED TO CHANGE AGENTS!!!! OMG!! I think this will tell you all WHY we want to change! LOL! SO, I'll call Statefarm AGAIN, customer service, in the morning and see what the heck this inspection things means for us.

The End....

hedgie said...

Yes, Paula, it is from the staining. They wanted me to move the truck out of the garage in case it leaked.......I parked it where he told me---about 20 ft. away---and overspray still got it. Grrrrrr.

paula eagleholic said...

Lynne, the inspection may have run out...or they didn't fix what needed to be fixed. I would think if anything needs to be fixed, they will do so.

Lynne2 said...

I'm sure they will Paula. But a car cannot be titled in MD without passing the State Inspection, so I wonder HOW we have a title!! And once again, it's right down to the wire, and I will have to NOT go to work on Monday to take care of their mistake!!

hedgie said...

Oh, Lynne, so very frustrating and what a bunch of bs run-around. :( You really need to report this dealer to the BBB after you are finished with him.

All of the pretty flower talk is cheering.....I DO have my yellow mum that Charlie brought me. Nothing else. Meant to tell all of you fantastic gardeners: there was a pic in our local paper last week of a mum that is over 4 ft. wide. Guy had to tie it up to a porch post! It was gorgeous. I'll see if I can find the pic.

Lolly, glad you are feeling better. Yep---I take an allergy pill before I go out and mess with leaves and stuff because of the mold spores!

Lynne2 said...

Yep, sure will Lynn, and I still have the number for the lady at Dealer Complaints.

Lynne2 said...

THEN, I have to miss ANOTHER day of work on Nov. 1 for JURY DUTY.....honestly, can't I just make a living????

Watching the w series again tonight. No score so far! I might not make it through the game tonight as I am already feeling sleepy!

Lynne, can not believe the bad luck you have had with cars.

Good Evening ! Had a great time with Malcolm in spite of rain all day long. He was in a rainy day mood, so lots of couch n' snuggle time and not too strenuous for me. Seth was in a good mood after school and proud to show me the first issue of the school newspaper. He has the lead article on the front page--about the blood drive of last week--and an interview with the Spanish teacher who handles the International Club on the second page. Good job !

LYNN, I will tell Seth about your journalistic experience ! Want to encourage this passion in him ! How long does it take post injection for the knee pain to stop and for the swelling to go down ? Hope not long !

LYNNE, I'm not sure I understand everything about that car, except that it sounds like trouble with a capital T ! None of it is your fault and yet you have to lose time at work to deal with it. Bummer with a capital B !!!!

PAULA, glad that flooring is in and wishing you safe travel, good work time and some relaxation for the weekend !

DANAMO, hope your friend and her Scout will be okay. Also hope you're taking precautions when walking or running past that problem house in your neighborhood.

JO, all things considered it sounds like that is a good orthopedic report you got today. Physical therapy beats surgery, that's for sure.

Time for me to call it a day. Praying for all in need and saying thanks for blessings of the day---including the fact that there is one less demonic dictator on this earth tonight !

We're watching World Series, too. Thought the anthem by Trace Atkins was exceptional! Just saw awhile ago a great out made by TX.Guy slid on ground to catch ball & then flipped it up to baseman who got there first!

Been thinking about Lynn's chimney since seeing people checking Monument. Wonder if it was the earthquake??I should have sent Stanley! LOL

Lynne 2, you and Steve must never go to that car dealer again!!!I'm sure you won't as he'll probably be out of business!

Back to game & other stuff I need to do ☺
If I end up konking out, Pleasant Feather Dreams to all hitting the hay and prayers for all & prayers+++++ for Lynn ;>)

Hoda said...

I will need an epsom salt bath tonight!!! It was a good exercise class and I think it will prove to be helpful... Cath the instructor does not know how to rest however, she says ten second rest and then proceeds to give instructions to the next activity. I am sure the ten seconds are longer then an "in breath"...LOL

Have we heard from LYNNE 2 about why the dealership phoned her, earlier I thought maybe he was just following up as part of a customer satisfaction, now I wonder...I have not read back yet so maybe she checked in...

stronghunter said...

Lynne, have you noticed a guy with a black cloud over his head when you approach that car dealership? If you see that guy, run away very quickly. He is Joe Bfstplk, the world's biggest jinx. Surely he is hiding at that dealership whenever you and Steve arrive.

hedgie said...

Kay, usually 24 hrs. for the pain to subside and the cortisone to kick in. Pretty sore tonight, for sure. Not too much swelling anymore---it went down substantially over the weekend.
Glad you've had a great day with your boys!

hedgie said...

Loretta, chimney sweep claims that it is obviously caused by fire....which is good since insurance wouldn't cover anything if it had been the quake.

Hoda said...

Yes LYNNE 2 did write about her car and the insurance...Good Luck and I am sorry you have to miss work on Monday LYNNE.

LYNN your chimney was checked and I hope the repairs are not too costly, nor too difficult to do...soon you will need to use it.

SHIRLEY has some beautiful pictures of a very happy and proud HUNTER when he went to explore for rocks...they are on FB.Thanks for sharing SHIRLEY.

hedgie said...

Shirley.....do you know this guy with the cloud over his head??? LOL!

Hoda, tell that gal to slow it down!!! 10 sec. isn't long enough!

I better say Good Evening before it's over!!

Boy, I sure had a busy day today......mostly at my desk. Still good to get things done.

Lynn - Hope you feel relief soon with that knee.

Lynne - So sorry to hear about continuing drama with your car! When will it end??

DanaMo - Sad about your friend. Nothing is safe anymore these days.

Kay - Glad you had a nice day with Malcolm & Seth and that Seth is doing so well!

I have read bits and pieces and am still trying to catch up here and there.

Hope everyone is doing well this evening.

Hoda - Hope that epsom salt bath works! Nothing like sore muscles!

Sad that we probably won't see anything much of Lily and Faith until spring. :( Our dear Hope should be there, too....:( :(

Lynne2, good Lord, the car saga continues! Praying really hard for a good resolution!

Bet it IS due to allergies.

Must say I'm glad that the "Mad Dog of the Middle East" is no longer with us.

Well, have some stuff I need to get done, so I'm calling it a day a bit earlier than usual. Prayers have been said for everyone, and for all our pets and favorite critters. Really do miss our live cam lately. Can't wait until it's working again!

I've read most of today's comments and now I'm getting near a face plant:)

LORI, I wish I could bring GG to the nest visit, but that would be far too much walking for her. Maybe I can bring her another time when we have the Eagle Express...she would be more comfortable in there.

LORETTA, how wonderful of you to be helping Sherry get some of the pieces of her life back. To get copies of her wedding photos would be fantastic!

Andrea, all the Momsters are proud of your accomplishments with your schooling and now with a new job... WAY TO GO GIRL!

JO, when I first get up in the morning, I do the same as you...pray that I will still be able to walk. Hurts pretty badly until I walk around a bit, then it eases up. I guess that comes with the territory when you have arthritis:(
I'm sad to hear that Diann is having difficulty with her new meds. I was thinking that she was feeling so well that she was busy with fun things, and that is why we hadn't heard from her. Pray her Doc will adjust meds to her satisfaction!

OK, off to bed with me...a little earlier than last night...getting better all the time:)

Good Red FRIDAY Morning!!!

I'm all caught up on my reading, but no time to post, now. But, I am working on a new Prayer List since we have so much going on in that department now and I don't want to miss anyone. I will put the new list up later today. Hope it helps everyone like it does me. :)

Still can't believe we had such a great time with KAY joining us yesterday morning then about 6:25 I was stuck on the previous page while everyone had -SPLIT-. I thought Kay had fallen asleep, and Shirley was busy with Hunter, DanaMo was getting ready for school. Here you all were having more fun on the new page. DUH! Perhaps an extra cup of coffee rocket fuel will help. BBL

PA Nana said...

Good Friday morning Lori et al.

I'm checking in briefly to say hello to my good friends.

I so wish I could join you all on Monday. What time are you meeting? May be...

Teresa and family will be joining us this Saturday for a family get together at a niece's so we'll have "guests" until Sunday.

I'm still worrying over what to take as my covered dish. It's been so long since I was at a covered dish thingy, I've forgotten. Besides I can't cook/bake much anymore.

Don't like this type of get togethers but it should prove interesting since we haven't seen them since the last funeral. Funerals have been our family reunions.

Haven't been to sleep yet so I may be a little loopy. I'm trying not to take my sleep medicine. Might be a little like trying to quit smoking. It's almost too late to try and sleep now. Jim's off tomorrow and he's a very early riser.

Maybe I'll try a cup of coffee...

Lori O. said...

Good Morning Diann!

We've been worried about you. Hope you're starting to feel the effects of the pain med as it's supposed to work, and that you're getting major relief!

We're meeting at NCTC Monday at 10AM. I probably won't be there until closer to 10:30 or 11 as I'm driving there from work when I get off the air. It should be a wonderful meeting for everyone!

Lori O. said...

Diann, if there's a way for you to go on Monday, I hope you'll do it! It would be so fun to see you.

PA Nana said...

Lori, I want to be there so so bad.
But I'll have to wait til I see how I feel and if Jim will bring me.

An update on my back... the pain is back more than before the injection.

The new meds are working on the nerve pain in the leg though. This new med was making me swell like I had elephantitis. And I have the feeling of vertigo. Weird. Spoke to the doc and he decreased my dose and we'll give this more time. Hoping my body adjusts soon.

Sure is good to be back on the blog. But I have to make it brief since we have so much to do before the reunion.

PA Nana said...

I'll have to look for the direction Lynn and Wanda gave me for the nest visit June 2010.

Do you know if there will be a lot of walking? I can't manage that without my rolater that I can sit when I feel the need.

It's too early to ask Lynn or Wanda, but do you know? Maybe Lynn or Wanda can email me with directions again.

Lori O. said...

Diann, I will email you the directions JO sent me yesterday.

DanaMo said...

OMGosh I am so excited for our visit next week. Just got the email and sent everyone my cell like Wanda did.

Good morning Lori.

My friend really went through an ordeal. The ...wait Boomer won't let me typ.e. Here is her post "shots into all the wounds, shots in my arms, shots in my butt, and back in 3 days then 7 then 21 days for more...and i feel like i didn't protect my buddy...:-("

It makes me want to cry.

DanaMo said...

OH Diann I'm sorry you are in so much pain, that must be awful! I will keep you in my prayers. A special intention for you this morning when we are praying at school (the best part of Catholic School, being able to pray with everyone).

DanaMo said...

I don't have to worry about what to wear today, it's a tag day. Jeans and pink (for Breast cancer awareness). Or we can wear Red, which is what I will be wearing. All money the children paid to come out of uniform goes to breast cancer awareness, not sure of the organization that is getting the money.

DanaMo said...

okay..."knock, knock" guess Lori is busy on the radio and no one else is up. I will head over to Facebook ☺

Lori O. said...

Good Morning DanaMO!!!!

Lori O. said...

How is Scout doing? Poor Lauren - getting all those shots...and more to come. Did they get the dog that did it?

I just sent out my cell phone # too to update the list of those going to the nest. Wooohhoooo!

DanaMo said...

Yipee! For the nest trip.

I don't know about the dog that attacked them. I have asked over on FB but did not get an answer concerning the events of the attack itself. I will update when I know. I can tell though that she is really depressed over the incident. She has had such a difficult life already. A young woman my age and divorced, 2 children, breast cancer survivor and is a psychologist who deals with physically and sexually abused children on a daily basis. So much for a young person to deal with and this just seems to be beating her down.

PA Nana said...

Good morning DanaMo. thanks for the prayers. I know what it's like being able to pray together. I used to work at several parish offices and attended morning Mass and rosary every day. I miss that comraderie.

Thanks Lori. Will check the map and compare. we'd be coming down Rt81.

Now since I haven't slept yet I'm going to try to catch a few zzz's before Jimbo gets up.

Have a blessed day everyone. God bless!

DanaMo said...

Also please pray for my dad. He fell last week (over the dog gate, which wasn't even hooked in place, he could have just moved it!) and is still in a lot of pain. The x-ray didn't show any fracture, but a friend who is a radiologist said that hips are very tricky to read. Hopefully my mom will be able to push the doctor to order an MRI today. The radiologist said that the MRI would show not only a fracture but also a muscle or tendon tare.

DanaMo said...

that should be "tear". Had trouble finding the correct spelling because when I put in tear it only said crying. But when I put in torn it give tear as the present text. Hummm....
