THANK YOU VERY MUCH STEVE. I hope you and your family are doing well. Also hope that not too much damage to your property HAPPY FLAG DAY STEVE AND EVERYONE.
Good afternoon! Temps are extremely high but the humidity is low, so this morning was very pleasant. I spent several hours, like four, working in the yard. Really enjoyed it and now I will stay in for the rest of the day.
Steve, like the others said, no need for an apology. We were concerned about you! Thanks for the new thread.
I am now proceeding back to the old thread to read posts.
LUNAR ECLIPSE: On Wednesday night, June 15th, there's going to be a total lunar eclipse visible from every continent except North America. The Moon will spend 100 minutes fully engulfed in Earth's shadow, making this the longest lunar eclipse in nearly 11 years. The appearance of the eclipse might be affected by exhaust from Chile's erupting Puyehue-Cordón Caulle volcano, which is also causing spectacular sunsets around the southern hemisphere.
I've been having high hopes also that Mei has a baby panda. All our new friends on here will get to see the birth. That would be so exciting to share with the group.
Hedgie-Lynn thanks for posting the half and half. That is truly if you were actually there. It would be a turn your head for "did I really see that lool?".
Lynn is it storming up your way yet?
Lori thanks for posting about Ricky the Raccoon. He sure looks comfy in the nest lol
They really did a great job on setting up the Patuxent River Osprey cam. The color is beautiful, you can see the nest very well and I love seeing the water (river) behind the nest.
There are just very light rains on the radar here, no big storms. Probably won't amount to much rain.
Skies have become mostly cloudy for much of the region as a weak upper level disturbance embedded in the jet stream crosses the region. Isolated showers are still expected later this afternoon due to this disturbance. However, with a dry airmass in place any showers will be light and brief. Temperatures tonight will fall back into the mid 50s with light winds. The region will have more pleasant weather tomorrow with sunny skies, highs in the upper 70s, and low humidity. Headed back outside, it really is a beautiful day out there!
Lynn, we are on a water coop. We have great water. We have the entire acre covered by a sprinkler system, but it is very expensive to water the whole acre. Our house is set way back on the acre and we water all around the house. That is where we have all our flower beds, herb garden, etc. Down front we do have lawn and the pecan trees but we just do not water it as often therefore it is dying. Looks awful! Sob!
It's a little gloomy in So Cal so far today, and I've got a 'cough, cough, hack, hack, sneeze, sneeze. Just opened a fresh box of Kleenex, which makes me feel somewhat more secure...
I would not travel if we did not have a sprinkler system. When we leave next week we will move all hanging baskets and flower pots so that the sprinkler system will get them. Also, we pay a yard man to come twice to water the pots and to mow once.
We just checked the Rocky Mt. Natl Park 10 day forecast....looking good! Highs in the 50's and 60's, lows in the 30's and 40's. Great camping weather!!!! Can hardly wait.
I know I will loose some lawn while we are gone...that is just the way it will be. I am trying oh, so hard to not let it bother me! We have very sandy soil and it dries out fast!
There's a NEW Dirty Dozen list out from the Environmental Working Group and it says that apples are the most chemically contaminated produce now. Celery shocked me! They say if you're going to buy anything organic, it should be these, or some of you can grow these.
The pecan trees are doing okay. Jack does not think it will be a great crop. Case barers, a tiny worm that that attacks pecans is getting it's share. Jack sprayed, but a week too late!
We are heading to Colorado a week from this coming Friday, June 24th. We will arrive at the campsite on Saturday. We will be there for a week. I will not have a computer as we will not have electricity...we are camping!!
Is there going to be a rain auction Saturday? Judie will have more fun with that.
LOLLY - Colorado is great for cooler weather in the summer. Went to a ranch there, Black Mtn Ranch years ago and I think that was a 9,000 ft. That kind of altitude can be a real headache! haha. Great wildflowers there, so I might bring Margy along on our virtual vacation.
STEVE I hope all is ok I saw the pictures you had on facebook of the tree Hey we can use a thread as long as it doesn't explode on us so not to worry about us just take care of your family and your property we will survive I'm sure
Good late afternoon one and all LM while I read read read 45 on this one and a few on other BBL
Hi, Everyone, Just dropping in quickly to let you know all is well at this roost. Have been extremely busy today. Took care of the bulldogs, and Emma, got the yard ready for the gardeners, watered patio plants, paid bills online, and caught up on the blog. Now I need to get busy once more on the transcription. Golly, it never slows down!
SO sorry I missed the party for Shirley last night! I was so tired I fell asleep after dinner in front of the TV with Emma! Sounds like you all had a great time. CONGRATULATIONS, SHIRLEY!
Oh, boy. I need to go buy more printer ink again. The color ink is low, which is puzzling. I always print "grayscale." Didn't realize you need color ink to print black! I think I need to look at Kodak printers. They say they don't cost fortune for ink. Anybody here have one? Would love to know what you think of it.
Jim, sorry you've got a cough, cough, hack, hack, sneeze, sneeze! Try to take it easy today, and stay close to the kleenex box! Prayers for your speedy recovery!
Well, back to work for me. Too much to do, so little time! Will try to check in later, after dinner. HAGD, everyone! :o]
ON TRAIL CAMS our store has two that I could see as I was rushing to get out of there LOL one is $50.00 it is a 3mp and the other is 149.00 it has 5mp With only two more mp is it worth the extra money I wonder just thought I would pass along I get 10% discount also but my wildlife is only raccoons, possums and cats, dogs and rats LOL
ANDY My daughter and I both have the Kodak printer she loves hers Mine is still in the box I haven't installed it yet It was a Christmas present and I still have ink in the printer I have so when it runs out I will install But Angie said it is so much cheaper
Wanda is bring lobster Well I will bring a boat load of crabs and I will also have shrimp for shrimp cocktail He we might has well have the most expensive champagne
Thought you might get a good laugh out of this. Laurel took the boys shoe and hiking boot shopping. Joseph has moved into men's sizes. He is 10 years old and now wears a size 8. His daddy wears size 15, guess he is headed that way.
Welcome back Steve and thanks for keeping us up to date. Hope no one was injured, but, unfortunately, the clean up is taking longer than the storm lasted.
Hi everyone. Fly those flags! Need to catch up. bbl
HEDGIE Ok so we all are going to get on a plane to see the eclipse or what Being we can't see it here we all might as well fly somewhere to see it Let me know so I can get ready
LORI Ricky the Raccoon I want one to he is so cute and looked like he was right at home
Pecan tree I had one on the side of my house right next to the driveway My driveway was always a mess from crushed nuts The squirrels never left me anything I had it cut down because it was rubbing the roof of my house and was tired of trimming all the time and the mess on the drive way
LOLLY sounds like you are going to have a blast camping and if LORI get to go so do I. I want cooler weather I love it you are going to rough it like it should be in camping Right! Can't wait to see the pictures take lots ok so we can live vicariously through them and you
Hello Eagle Pals The Loon Cam, is turned off now...nice reports from Larry the Loon Guy...He is going skydiving today! Picture link on his blog as to what the baby loonies would like now...they are nearly half the size of the adult
Lolly Am sorry to read of the heat-sun-scorching of parts of your lawn... but happy to read of the upcoming camping trip, and the Banana Bread which is probably close to being done....do you put pecans in it as the Nut ? Still catching up Discovered I have a slight case of vertigo...when I look straight down! Must have been from the swimming Sunday, know how to fix it, just have to get down on the floor and roll around a little.
Sun out now. A/C just cam on first time all day! Guess kitchen heat made it do it! Fixing shrimp scampi and pasta.
Frank and Irene's trip was pretty much a bust in the real estate department. Found one very good candidate but they couldn't get in to see it....and were given what sounds like some misinformation. I've been online looking AGAIN!
The videos usually come from facebook all my news channels are on facebook and two ususally have this stuff on their newcast and also then they put on face book I love it I use to record odd stuff on my dvd but since it went kaput I no longer we get some strange stuff on the news Fox13 also has a link on their home page on the news tab called OFFBEAT news here is the link to it
I also get emails jokes i.e. that I just copy paste I have one girl that email me at least 10 email a day We meet by accident through email a couple years ago she has the same name Sharon which was the sister of my sister boyfriend Long story short we became email buddies
Evening Everbody!!!TY, Lynn for piosting the Pax Osprey Cam. It will get a PGParks link address soon.I think about 4 years ago it was online for a short time and then there were glitches. We had a special 'puter techie come down this AM & someone unknown thech in the past had changed the password on the computer in the closet that runs everything! No one knew what it was, but Will was able to do some kind of disc thing and bypass it! If it malfunctions, plz don't call me!! Call Park or Ustream! ☺ Glad we could get them on before fledging. One chick was flapping this AM.Hope on a hot day you will be able to see Mom dive right into the River in front of nest. Greg will probably put on the other nest at some point if the eggs have hatched. Peeked thru trees this PM on eagle nest w/binoculars & could not see anyone standing. Don't know yet if they are branching or were laying low. YIPPEE Eagles next!!!!But don't hold your breath! Din Din---BBL
We have Magpie rolling around on the floor today, Shirley eating lumps in the refrigerator and saving some for tomorrow Jim hacking his head off, Lolly vaking REAL bread, There is no veg or fruit safe to eat
but the good news is We are all gonna fly to see the eclipse in one of you all private planes and right now I'm think of NU because of the branch that keep waving at me
I was in the middle of typing this when one of them flew sort at the nest thank goodness I had another browser open to post it I guess no one saw it but me OK I am caught up on the blog Celebration beginning shortly
MAGPIE that is a 1959 Ford can't think of the model name right now and I also notice that is the fourth picture that my DAD has a cigarette in his hand Maybe Fairlane that rings a bell CRS symptom reoccur often Dad had it repainted to beige and white which I didn't like at all, that is the car that we drove to Ca in We had a air conditioner that we had to put ice in it plugged into the cig lighter I remember like it was yesterday Connie and I were asleep in the back sleep and my butt started getting hot My Dad when he flicked his butt out the window flew in the back seat and burnt a hole about 2 inches before I felt it Judy Hot Butt my DAD would say
Hedgie I agree with you grasshopper are Yucky I spray alcohol on the it kill them with out harming the plants
WOW, didn't realize Steve's storm was a tornado! Glad everyone is safe there!
Speaking of which, I'm reading a book called And Hell Followed With It about the Topeka F5 killer of '66...really good book. As a result, I spent last night dreaming about making tornado preparations.....
work was somewhat better today. And there is no doubt in my mind I have been hired to whip things into shape. The Dr asked me to come and work for him a few years ago for that reason. I turned him down at the time. One of the receptionist who has been there for something like 20 years is/was very, very resistant to change, and was not interested in learning the computer. She is retiring now.
I've been kinda following the drought in the south....what a shame. Cannot imagine the farmers having to deal with it. We watched a show on the Weather Channel the other night that had a segment on the Great Dust Bowl. God forbid a drought like that would ever happen again.
Even the Monarch migration out of Mexico has been affected....fewer blooming plants to feed on, less milkweed for egg laying.
I pray it ends soon, in a gentle manner, not a deluge!
Did you all notice that the leaf has taken over the tree trunk Darn I won't be able to see my ants and it is covering the edge of the nest NU come to our rescue
There was a question about Steve...no he hasn't found a full time job, but my former landlord has him doing some work on a property that is being renovated up the street in prep for rental. The night I mentioned he was on his way home was the night it stormed...he was out fishing that night with Dave.
oh guess what! My friend Tracey, the vet tech who recently took a job at the Baltimore County Animal Control, has been chosen to go to Joplin, MO next week for a few days to help in the continuing pet rescue efforts!!
well, whatever Brother Cat brought home in the way of an upper respiratory thing, now the other 2 cats have it and are sneezing up a storm. Good Grief. He's doing really well, although his appetite is a bit off. He is only interested in dry food if it's mixed with canned now. No problemo!
And he can wrap me all he wants! So glad just to have him back! He hasn't even asked to go outside at all, but I think I may try to find my old cat's harness and maybe see if he'll wear it. I can put a long thin leash on it so he can go out sometimes with us. On the other hand, I sort of hate to open that can of worms. He may just decide to want to go out all the time again.
well, we were going to go camping this weekend. We haven't been since this weekend last year. The mountain laurel should be blooming up there by now, or close to it. HOWEVER...my father in law is being a rotten stubborn man, insisting that he can climb a ladder and paint the VERY high ceiling in the front part of their house. Really? He can barely walk at this point. My mother in law is having a fit because the guy who was going to do it in the first place will not return her phone calls. SO, looks like we'll be going there instead.
I saw the U tun flight of the eagle an hour or so ago Judy E...I hoped they would come before I have to go to the Dragon Boat Practice. It does not look like it. I will wait 15 more minutes and then head out...
So sorry about your plans this weekend but so nice of you to go and help We get stubborn in our old age My parents were like that had to do it them selves
OK I am headed out now. Keep an eye out for me and I will read your notes the minute I come back...I hope there is a visit by the two of them and that there is a lot to tell...
OK anyone on facebook needs to go LIKE Glo new page she has 28 fans now so she is official but we can one up it ya think I also posted on our Face book fan page
Oh Poof!!! I just missed the show! Was emailing folks w/osprey cam address---our retired secretary in TX, Chrissy across the Pond, & daughter & SIL in Hawaii to see if it will carry across all the ponds!!! Little while ago dinner was being served.
I fell asleep last night, also & don't think I got on here.Don't know why going to dentist is so tiring. He just cleaned them!Must be stress---he said I should go to surg. & have root removed from broken cap & stump. I will call someday! LOL Meant to give another CONGRATS TO SHIRLEY, aS I believe she went to school to party yesterday!
I got a picture of him peaking at her tail also on video in process of downloading puter is being a pain my little blue circle I have had the blog up on one browser and it has frozen up notresponding no duh! for 20 min so hope this one is better don't want to loose what I am downloading now
ROFLMBO, JudyE----you said: my butt started getting hot My Dad when he flicked his butt out the window flew in the back seat and burnt a hole----I was picturing your dad flying into the back seat!!!
Loved the ducks in the mighty CO river!
Loretta, what a nasty thing for that old techie to do to you all....you mean we could have been watching much sooner?? Shame on him!
Well Loretta, the Eagles will be back...your mission emailing out that information, very important ! Hope the the tooth thing works out ok and that you are least pain-free
ISS - just viewed a good flyover, (at 9:10) brighter than I expected
Lightning Bugs are out also! Saw my first ones in Berkeley Springs the other night That's a nice Ford probably Fairlane, Judy Hott Butt I hope Loretta's Frank sees that ! He is an old car afficianado, he's not old but he likes old cars !
Lynne, didn't know that Brother Cat was ill....so sorry....hope they ALL get well soon! Glad today was a better one for you at work. Too bad your FIL is spoiling your plans...:(
last night the missing ISS I checked the time before and AFTER I came in , said 10:06pm I stayed out til 10:12 pm NOW the site says the flyover time for last night, 10:15 pm Have never seen a change-up like that AFTER the fact
Speaking of busy people, I bet Wanda and Gene were hustling to go from Soup Kitchen to Bible School Hope all went well, and that it was tasty first, and fun second
Dinosaur is freezing up back in a little while
Baltimore Oriole Nest pics on Feathers link - hard shot to get If you look, check out the blue ribbon weaved/woven into the nest It was much bigger than I imagined it would be
LYNN, Liesl wore you slam out, huh? I can relate to that. Malcolm is a handful. Perhaps seeking more attention because he misses his family or possibly just because he can get it here. The dog park is a God send. At least I can count on some down time after bringing a delighfully tired dog home. I'm achy and tired myself and ready to crash right along with him.
Had umpteen dozen, well, about 50, e-mails to digest and respond to. Many of them from Momsters. I'm not complaining, just saying I'm not keeping up very well.
I've read past posts and enjoyed. I won't write my usual lenghty post---everything that needs to be said about videos, eagle visits, etc., etc., has been said. I'm looking forward to getting back to my routine next week ! Meantime have still said nightly prayers which include all Momsters, Dadsters, their pets and loved ones.
Nuts, missed the ISS, too. BTW, I did see blue strips in osprey nest today. Don't know if they were part of plastic bag, or some heavier vinyl. Quite colorful. I showed Frank the Fairlane---he said that's what it was! He had a Crown Victoria when we married!!Then it got sold to help buy the house!!!! boo Sold my Sunbeam, too to a college student. So I ended up in a new house w/no car!(but many airplanes ☺)Lots of car sharing went on for several years! Gotta get a drink & I don't think we got a drop of rain--was very dark when I got home!
Lynn2- see you made it back also hope all the cat sniffles and fevers wil disappear quickly hope your forget-me-nots are doing well, mine are...but no flowers yet found a nice wild patch at Swinging Bridge last week
kookie! are you unchecking the box that says Keep Me Signed In ?? That was Judye's fix for posting comments, at least it helped some of us some of the time
MAGPIE I don't have a dinosaur but mine froze up that stupid blue circle ended up having to take it down Internet explorer not responding always a pain still trying to do videos because of it they probably won't be in order I did three to get it all
Didn't believe the time wow
Well I'm calling it a day also
See ya in the am
God Bless this Nest and all whom watch it Healing thoughts for those in need
"Be kinder than necessary, for everyone is fighting some kind of battle"
No, Margy, not for awhile. Two of my fav summer shows make their season premieres tonight!! One at 10 and one at 11! So I'm ready to head for the sofa---alone this time!!
What u turns are Judy and Hoda referring to??? TURNS and BURNS all in one evening??? TOO MUCH!!
JudyE----we have no lemon or lime or grapefruit trees. We have no palm trees; we have no sand; we have no year-round outdoor flowers; On and on----you might want to stay where you are!!!
Good evening - guess from comments I have missed some of you. Cool out there this evening and an unusual large amount of fireflys zooming around our back yard! Usually it is much warmer when they come out. We have not had any rain - Had an estimate tonight for the 2 front trees to be taken down. One is a red maple and the other is also a regular maple. They are just leafless - breaks my heart as they have been here forever.
Well, looks like I just missed Lynne. Great to read all your comments, Lynne. We have been missing you. Glad things were a little better at work. Get that place whipped into shape!
I went out after dinner. Temp is down to 90 now so it was tolerable. Going to mow early in the morning, however there are places that have not grown. Grass dries up...it does not need mowing.
Poor Joseph! He was climbing on their backyard wooden swing set, he was up in the play fort and about to go down the spiral slide when he was swarmed with yellow jackets. He got four stings. One on each of his ears, one in his hair and one on the back of his neck. He got Benadryl, advil, and ice fast. Laurel said he came to the back door just screaming and crying. Oh, poor baby!
Hi Jo! Know your pain of loosing the trees. And, it is so ironic that you hate that you are loosing the trees AND you have to pay to have them removed!
LOL Jo! We did not have pecan last year either, but we were traveling. Guess he will just have to watch football without pecans! He is going to wire the trees this year and try to protect what is there from the squirrels. However, the squirrel population seems to be high this year. That is not good!
Yes, we still have pecans frozen from two years ago.
And, someone asked...yes, I put pecans in the banana nut bread.
Video is on Nest Blog They are out of sequence OOPS I say the order is 2nd, 1st, 3rd also posted on face book I was trying to be a smart butt and opened a couple of browser and downloaded all at the same time that how they got out of sequence didn't want to be up to late doing it

Ditto that Jo on the Dirty Dozen list...Thanks Lori! darn, hate to read that kind of stuff, but it might help the Farmers' Markets Vendors if enough people know about it, and care about it !!!
Oh, am sad with you regarding the leafless trees....they are like old friends by now....wonder what happened to them?
and Poor Joseph! That is pure misery, the kind of thing that will keep playing over in his mind... (( hugs♥ )) for Joseph, Lolly...
dinosaur all peppy now but I am not... just rolled around on the floor THINK I fixed the vertigo/ dizziness problem, might have to have another treatment!
When the moon is out of the clouds we should have a lot of light at the nest...but not sure what the weather forecast is for that
Lolly we did get a very decent price for taking them down, Thank the good Lord. Our nextdoor neighbor has a line of the most beautiful blue spruce and other pines. He has to remove them due to their roots doing damage - He is going to have to pay a pretty price and I am so going to miss them. They are on his property but they give us so much privacy
ok Going over to FB to see what my family is doing.
Samantha is finished her 3rd grade She had a good year! Tomorrow she is having out surgery for tonsils - I called her this evening and she said "I am not going to say one word for 2 weeks! I am going to eat ice cream and ice" I told her maybe she could squeak a little bit.
MEMA Jo, I am back and it is only 7:30 PM PDT, which makes it 10:30 PM EDT.
I would like to announce that I saw an EAGLE FISHING. Sooooo awesome, we had just turned the boat to head back in and I saw it do a twist and a dive and it hit the water and came up with a fish and I totally missed several counts for the rhythm of the paddle so I pulled it out and in wonder tried to calm myself down so I would not have a free ride... IT WAS MAGNIFICENT.
Thank you for the reports on Belle and Truder's visit and the subsequent fly by...
Goodnight and sweet dreams to all who have already signed off God Bless and Sweet Dreams.
When we were on our cruise to Alaska we saw many eagles. However, one morning I stepped out of our cabin and an eagle swooped down and caught a fish right in front of me. Awesome experience!
You better watch out, they will throw you off the rowing team if you try to take too many free rides. LOL
I am heading to the shower. Sat on the grass this evening. Think I will feel much better after showering.
Just went out and turned a sprinkler off. Had to look around first, afraid of running into an armadillo. LOL Certainly is a pretty moon! And, it is shining over all of us.♥♥♥
just walked the dogs....WOW what a MOON! And yes Lolly, it sure is shining on all of us! We have some clouds here and it's making for beautiful skies tonight!
HODA!!! OMG!! You're like the rest of us...Nature distracts us (and Isabella Rosilin who has a series of the same name). At least you weren't DRIVING!

Good afternoon eagle budlets. Steve, glad you are okay.
THANK YOU VERY MUCH STEVE.
I hope you and your family are doing well.
Also hope that not too much damage to your property
HAPPY FLAG DAY STEVE AND EVERYONE.
As Megan pointed out - No apologies needed! We were very
concerned about you and the family.
And also the Silver Maple!
Thanks for the fresh thread!
Sorry Steve about the Silver Maple tree. We know you have been busy with clean up. Just so glad you and family are ok.
Thanks for the new thread.
Thank you for the call over to here.
Again HAPPY FLAG DAY---today I got my first Hummingbird !!!! ( :
Repeating: Pax River osprey cam is ONLINE! We donated to this effort.
PAX
Loretta's at work and told Frank and he sent email! Know she is proud and habby!
Megan...did you know that Knode's Southern States is having a big auction?
I sent the link down to Lisa about the PAX cam being up/running.
Thank you Hedgie-Lynn for posting the blue link "PAX". I got it just fine. Have it in my favorities. Watching it now. ty ( :
It looks like they have something blue in their nest too lol
Osprey's and the color "blue" lol
Good afternoon! Temps are extremely high but the humidity is low, so this morning was very pleasant. I spent several hours, like four, working in the yard. Really enjoyed it and now I will stay in for the rest of the day.
Steve, like the others said, no need for an apology. We were concerned about you! Thanks for the new thread.
I am now proceeding back to the old thread to read posts.
Well, I am impressed! A car load of lobsters from Wanda for the party. YUM! YUM! YUM! Thank you, Wanda!
No rest for the weary! Now to get ready to walk.
Lisa, BWO, replied to my message
Neat, that's where I went osprey banding a few years ago. :-)
I could be mistaken but I do believe that Paula & Suzanne were
also there...
LUNAR ECLIPSE: On Wednesday night, June 15th, there's going to be a total lunar
eclipse visible from every continent except North America. The Moon will spend
100 minutes fully engulfed in Earth's shadow, making this the longest lunar
eclipse in nearly 11 years. The appearance of the eclipse might be affected by
exhaust from Chile's erupting Puyehue-Cordón Caulle volcano, which is also
causing spectacular sunsets around the southern hemisphere.
I also sent the link to Lisa, Jo, and got the same response.
Mai Xiang is s-l-e-e-p-i-n-g......again and still!!!! MTBD, of course, but hopes are high!!
I've been having high hopes also that Mei has a baby panda. All our new friends on here will get to see the birth. That would be so exciting to share with the group.
LORETTA - The PAX cam is very cool! Nice picture, too. Great job! I'm very proud of you and habby for you!
LYNN - thanks for posting the PAX cam link. Love it.
WV DANA - Congrats on first hummer of the season. I haven't seen any yet. Or maybe I have and forgot. CRS!
Check this out!
Half and Half
Beautiful!!!
THELMA -
Hang tough. You did the right thing. And you're strong for knowing what you can take and what you don't need right now! Way to go, girl! ♥
Extra belly rubs for Buddy.
I'll do it Lori-thanks.
Here is the link I was trying to post this morning with no luck.
Very cute:
I Want an MT Nest Visitor Like Ricky
Lynn, I did know that about Knode's cause I saw a sign on the building. Do you know any details, the sign had no details except the date.
AH, never mind, Lynn, I found a newspaper article about it.
They really did a great job on setting up the Patuxent River Osprey cam. The color is beautiful, you can see the nest very well and I love seeing the water (river) behind the nest.
Looking like we are going to get a storm here.
Birds are flying into feed so they won't get wet.
Getting darker here.
Wondering if Lynn got a storm?
Rain is getting close here....Megan, do you need it? Maybe we could share with Lolly!
Lolly, do you have public water or well? Would autommatic sprinklers be impractical?
Lynn, we are on a water coop. We have great water. We have the entire acre covered by a sprinkler system, but it is very expensive to water the whole acre. Our house is set way back on the acre and we water all around the house. That is where we have all our flower beds, herb garden, etc. Down front we do have lawn and the pecan trees but we just do not water it as often therefore it is dying. Looks awful! Sob!
Megan---yep, saw it in the Herald. That GMC truck with that low mileage might be worth checking out! Probably lots of stuff there that you could use!
Sorry, Lolly...:( the pecan trees are okay, tho', right?
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
I hope you are enjoying
your day, everyone
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
It's a little gloomy in So Cal so far today, and I've got a 'cough, cough, hack, hack, sneeze, sneeze. Just opened a fresh box of Kleenex, which makes me feel somewhat more secure...
C(°ٿ°)D Jim
1. Apples
2. Celery
3. Strawberries
4. Peaches
5. Spinach
6. Imported nectarines
7. Imported grapes
8. Sweet bell peppers
9. Potatoes
10. Domestic blueberries
11. Lettuce
12. Kale/collard greens
The pecan trees are doing okay. Jack does not think it will be a great crop. Case barers, a tiny worm that that attacks pecans is getting it's share. Jack sprayed, but a week too late!
LOLLY - highs in the 50's & 60's that's HODA weather. I want to go! ☺
Think I am going into the kitchen and vake! Have some bananas that will make great banana nut bread.
BBL
Well, come on Lori....bring your tent!!!
LOL! Lolly, when are you leaving?
Yes, we need rain here badly. Might go to the auction Sat morning to check it out, I'm sure it will be packed.
Hi, Everyone,
Just dropping in quickly to let you know all is well at this roost.
LM engaging /cruise control in automatic
ANDY My daughter and I both have the Kodak printer she loves hers Mine is still in the box I haven't installed it yet It was a Christmas present and I still have ink in the printer I have so when it runs out I will install But Angie said it is so much cheaper
I LIKE BIRDS
Check this out tooooo coool
Wanda is bring lobster Well I will bring a boat load of crabs and I will also have shrimp for shrimp cocktail He we might has well have the most expensive champagne
guess we can just party all week. We have enough food for a week long party! Wahooo!
Just put two loaves of banana nut bread in the oven. House is smelling good!
Thought you might get a good laugh out of this. Laurel took the boys shoe and hiking boot shopping. Joseph has moved into men's sizes. He is 10 years old and now wears a size 8. His daddy wears size 15, guess he is headed that way.
For real on the bread or virtual LOL
Welcome back Steve and thanks for keeping us up to date. Hope no one was injured, but, unfortunately, the clean up is taking longer than the storm lasted.
Hi everyone. Fly those flags! Need to catch up.
bbl
This is tooo cute was on BayNews9 facebook

Frank and Irene's trip was pretty much a bust in the real estate department. Found one very good candidate but they couldn't get in to see it....and were given what sounds like some misinformation. I've been online looking AGAIN!
The videos usually come from facebook all my news channels are on facebook and two ususally have this stuff on their newcast and also then they put on face book I love it I use to record odd stuff on my dvd but since it went kaput I no longer we get some strange stuff on the news Fox13 also has a link on their home page on the news tab called OFFBEAT news here is the link to it

Glad we could get them on before fledging.

We have Magpie rolling around on the floor today,

Good Flag Day Evening everyone!
WOW, didn't realize Steve's storm was a tornado! Glad everyone is safe there!
Speaking of which, I'm reading a book called And Hell Followed With It about the Topeka F5 killer of '66...really good book. As a result, I spent last night dreaming about making tornado preparations.....
This was just on the news
GEESE catching a WAVE
they expect this to go VIRAL The guy was just lucky being there
Wow, lucky Larry! Thanks for that tidbit, Margy!
Kitchen cleaned up...almost time for Jeopardy. Downloading Jackie Evancho's new album from iTunes!
work was somewhat better today.
Did you all notice that the leaf has taken over the tree trunk Darn I won't be able to see my ants and it is covering the edge of the nest
NU come to our rescue
Got my "do" did today! Really needed it.
There was a question about Steve...no he hasn't found a full time job, but my former landlord has him doing some work on a property that is being renovated up the street in prep for rental. The night I mentioned he was on his way home was the night it stormed...he was out fishing that night with Dave.
FIVE bluebird eggs in the field house!
LYNN I love the turtle video on FB wow can she dig a hole or what to cool
oh guess what! My friend Tracey, the vet tech who recently took a job at the Baltimore County Animal Control, has been chosen to go to Joplin, MO next week for a few days to help in the continuing pet rescue efforts!!
I KNOW!!! I love turtles! That's a Terrapin, the state turtle of MD!
I see turtle every day at work in the pond in the parking lot I have a few pic on the blog Nature one I think
well, whatever Brother Cat brought home in the way of an upper respiratory thing, now the other 2 cats have it and are sneezing up a storm. Good Grief. He's doing really well, although his appetite is a bit off. He is only interested in dry food if it's mixed with canned now. No problemo!
Nope only one picture with a egret with the turtle I have lots of pic just not on the blog
Smart Cat has you wrapped around it little paw LOL
Beautiful pics on your nature blog JudyE...so cool all of the critters in that pond!
I have 23 turtle pictures but they are not in the blog
Hopefully you can find some time to post them JudyE!
I have the cutest one with two ducks and the turtle
when the pond water fountain isn't working they all pile on top of it
well, we were going to go camping this weekend.
Hi Hoda! Hope you have fun!
Well, I need to get some things done around here.
Lynne2 looks like you got the JOB!!
What great video's loved the turtle.
Maybe that drought is why we are NOT seeing too many hummingbirds.
Going to go to recliner and tv.
bbl
LYNN2 I downloaded my turtle pictures on the blog I love the one with the ducks
So sorry about your plans this weekend but so nice of you to go and help We get stubborn in our old age My parents were like that had to do it them selves
Thanks Lynne2...
OK I am headed out now. Keep an eye out for me and I will read your notes the minute I come back...I hope there is a visit by the two of them and that there is a lot to tell...
Cheers...Off I go
HODA wasn't that the weirdest U turn ever Like changed my mind
oh look, I'm still here! Gotta check out turtle pics
Dana, so glad you finally got a hummer! We had very few up til this weekend and suddenly there are quite a few all of the time!
I wish we got hummer here just to hot I guess
No lightening bug no hummers, no lilac bushes, no lily of the valley Darn it any way
funny when the water comes on I will try to get a video of that
I know some are soft shell Good for eating I have been told and not for sure of the others There are 100 big to little
time to move NORTH JudyE!
OK, really have to go now....if I don't get back tonight, I'll see you in the morning!

JudyE that is a LOT of turtles!!!!
did you see the fly over by a eagle
truder
moving to under the leaf NU where are you
Truder in the nest
Belle has blessed us with her presence
Belle in from the left
I can't believe they are both here in the light
Picking at flugg boht in middle
still in middle picking at cup area
belle adjusting wings and picking at twiggs in middle
he looks good today except of the spot
Looks like a couple
beaking beaking
both moved to bottom of nest but not under the leaf
they look good
oh he beaked at her first
not nice playing
no don't go there belle we cant see you
Belle's gonna poof
Looks like she wants to poof
Gotta beack at Truder first :)
beaking again she doesn't seem happy with him
she turns around he peeks at tail
He is trying to bite her feathers, she is looking out, there she goes.
poof and light
POOF truder
That was a nice Eagle visit by both.
Belle seems generally annoyed with Truder much of the time, and generally disinterested
Also [finally] saw when one of them flew in from "top right" side of the cam view to the tree, wonder which one it was
kestrel chicks seem ready and raring to leave the nest box
wonder if Judie has been watching
all kinds of wingersizing going on.
kind of a bother, have to keep hitting refresh button
MOON is UP and Nice !
LOL
Meant to give another CONGRATS TO SHIRLEY, aS I believe she went to school to party yesterday!
Shame on him!
pic in Momster and Dadsters album
Liesl is finally asleep! She was really wound up today....wore me slam out!
They keep beaking or bickering at each other
Well Loretta, the Eagles will be back...your mission emailing out that information, very important !
Hope the the tooth thing works out ok and that you are least pain-free
ISS - just viewed a good flyover, (at 9:10) brighter than I expected
Lightning Bugs are out also!
Saw my first ones in Berkeley Springs the other night
That's a nice Ford probably Fairlane, Judy Hott Butt
I hope Loretta's Frank sees that !
He is an old car afficianado, he's not old but he likes old cars !
Sooo..you might be going to sleep soon too are you saying Lynn?
Sounds like you are really enjoying this "new" addition to your family....
Lynne, didn't know that Brother Cat was ill....so sorry....hope they ALL get well soon!
Glad today was a better one for you at work.
Too bad your FIL is spoiling your plans...:(
last night
the missing ISS
I checked the time before and AFTER I came in , said 10:06pm
I stayed out til 10:12 pm
NOW the site says the flyover time for last night, 10:15 pm
Have never seen a change-up like that AFTER the fact
Hedgie-Lynn On WHAG tv tonight at 11pm they are going to show. What a Washington County man got for abusing a dog.
Speaking of busy people,
I bet Wanda and Gene were hustling to go from Soup Kitchen to Bible School
Hope all went well, and that it was tasty first, and fun second
Dinosaur is freezing up
back in a little while
Baltimore Oriole Nest pics on Feathers link - hard shot to get
If you look, check out the blue ribbon weaved/woven into the nest
It was much bigger than I imagined it would be
LYNN, Liesl wore you slam out, huh?
♥L♥I♥B♥E♥R♥T♥Y !!!!!!!
LOL!!! Just saw Ed....he is still having trouble because he didn't use STABIL!! On Nat Geo commercial just now!
Lynn, Brother is just fine...the other 2 are now sneezing, and we just took temps, both have slight fevers. UGH.
Hi Paula
How's Nugz tonight?
And you too also
Hi DanaWV, Lynn, JudyE...and any invisible Momsters and Dadsters out there...
bummer, Jim is having to hug the kleenex box today:(
bbsoon
and Loretta and Kay!
sorry dinosaur acting up
Good to see you Kay
we miss you, but understand...
xoxo
Margy, I commented on your recent blog posts....but I can't comment on Loretta or Paula's :(
Lynn2-

Nighters friends going to recliner.
Prayers for all that need them.
Thank you all for your great comments today and the links that took us to surprises.
kookie!
are you unchecking the box that says Keep Me Signed In ??
That was Judye's fix for posting comments, at least it helped some of us some of the time
MAGPIE I don't have a dinosaur but mine froze up that stupid blue circle ended up having to take it down Internet explorer not responding always a pain still trying to do videos because of it they probably won't be in order I did three to get it all
Didn't believe the time wow

OK, now I can post and I didn't do anything different!
Boy, I am having so much trouble on Facebook. what a pain.
OK, off to the shower and my tornado book!
Good night and prayers for all!
Nice Avatars, Dana WV and Lynne
and Judy's continuing father's day pictures
Good Night, to All Three of You !
put a few pictrues on the E-M album
They are just leafless - breaks my heart as they have been
here forever.
Lolly want on earth will occupy Jack's time if the pecans don't fall? I am sure you still have a
good many frozen.
Lynn, I am recording but not viewing the MPT program on
Hagerstown.
Where is Judi this evening?
Lori - thanks for publishing the
Dirty Dozen list!

In fact, I have the most delicious recipe for banana nut bread. It has cream cheese in it and has a wonderful streusel topping.
Lolly
Wow, pecans in the banana nut bread, that is BOSS!
dinosaur all peppy now
but I am not...
just rolled around on the floor
THINK I fixed the vertigo/
dizziness problem, might have to have another treatment!
When the moon is out of the clouds we should have a lot of light at the nest...but not sure what the weather forecast is for that
Lolly we did get a very decent price for taking them down, Thank
the good Lord. Our nextdoor neighbor has a line of the most
beautiful blue spruce and other
pines. He has to remove them due to
their roots doing damage - He is going to have to pay a pretty price and I am so going to miss
them. They are on his property but they give us so much privacy
I wonder what time Hoda finishes
up her paddling? That has to be
pretty cold out on the water in the
late evening.
Good Night again JudyE
Thanks for all your efforts to bring the Eagles right into our living quarters when we cannot always see the actual visits
ok Going over to FB to see what
my family is doing.
Samantha is finished her 3rd grade She had a good year!
Tomorrow she is having out surgery
for tonsils - I called her this
evening and she said "I am not going to say one word for 2 weeks! I am going to eat ice cream and ice" I told her maybe she could squeak a little bit.
okay Jo, see you..
Big Day Wednesday for Samantha, adorable comment, hope all goes well !
Hedgie
Enjoy those shows!
Hope Liesl sleeps through them and lets you kick back and enjoy
Going to find the pillows here soon,
SPLIT time will be roaring upon us soon
Sure hope everyone is doing okay... have some MIAs here today..
Prayers for all our Cares...
especially for Wellness amongst all our people and pets ♥
Hope Sleep, is Sweet & Restorative

Nite Margy! God bless!♥
Belated thank you to Steve. So sorry for all your nature-driven inconveniences. We were concerned.
Jo, maybe enjoy a bite of ice cream with Samantha -- do you both a world of good!
Been a busy day with planting and weeding and now very, very tired and coping with PAD pain plus the ankle swelling/pain, etc.
Will try to catch up tomorrow but have some medical stuff in the morning.
Night light is on and set for 11pm. I hope everyone had a good day and wishing restful sleep for all.
Back tomorrow sometime.
Stopping by to say good night. Hunter and I will go to Culpeper tomorrow.
How fantastic, Hoda!!
When we were on our cruise to Alaska we saw many eagles. However, one morning I stepped out of our cabin and an eagle swooped down and caught a fish right in front of me. Awesome experience!
You better watch out, they will throw you off the rowing team if you try to take too many free rides. LOL
Fantastic that you saw an eagle, Hoda.
Almost time for news, so gonna shut down here!
Pleasant Feather Dreams to all ;>)
I am heading to the shower. Sat on the grass this evening. Think I will feel much better after showering.
Just went out and turned a sprinkler off. Had to look around first, afraid of running into an armadillo. LOL Certainly is a pretty moon! And, it is shining over all of us.♥♥♥
Night all! Sweet dreams!
Lolly, it is such a breath taking sight to see an eagle fishing. I am glad you saw it on the cruise to Alaska...Goodnight all who are heading in.
Margie it is confusing when times are corrected after the factand frustrating to boot...sorry this was your experience last night.
just walked the dogs....WOW what a MOON!
Heading to bed....
Jo, so very sorry about your trees. Any idea why they died?? Hope the estimate wasn't a shocker.
Margy, I suggest 3 drops of alcohol in each ear, too. It evaporates any moisture left over from your swim.
LORETTA....LOTS OF PLANES???? Does Frank fly?
Jo, I was wondering about Judie, too......
Glad that Lynne and Kay checked in.
Lolly, stay cool while you mow!!\
Got some sadness tonight----two more retirees passed away....they seem to run in threes, and that makes three since my birthday.
