I have taken and marked photo again. Will post on FB and copy link here. See pretty much what I saw before in about same location. Nice sized crack or flugg :-)
LOL Hey Glo, I sent the quiz to everyone! I failed miserably. Yikes!
Okay, I have added a pic to my family pic blog. It is not a great picture in that Laurel took it with her phone to be able to send to me. But is is so cute. Lucas is a Bichon Frise.
OK Officially I didn't make it & I can understand what Kelly is saying...................... "I'm sorry Jo, but as I explained to Susan, we are a federal, secured and guarded facility, and visitors require an escort while on the property. Also, to make this request more complicated, we are not open this coming weekend.
Once again, I'm sorry that we are not able to honor Susan's request. I will be happy to have Steve contact you upon his return from vacation."
Well you certainly tried hard MeMa Jo and yes a part of me understands too. Maybe we need an official Momster Escort. hmmm . I bet being closed this weekend kind of sealed the deal too.
HEADS UP. I predict action at our nest sometime between 5:30 and 6:30 your time as I will be gone then. OK kidding BUT then again it surely could happen.. I will certainly know by the blogger count when I get back Sorry still adjusting to new time LOL. No wonder Lolly sent me that dementia quiz.
Nascar - I'm not a race person but wanted you to know that Ft Bragg Bunch got to see and have pictures taken with Kyle Petty and Ryan Newman. They were excited about it.
Thanks for trying, Jo! It really stinks, doesn't it? We've gotten in before on weekends........does this mean that we won't be able to do our spring visit on a Sat.???
Jo, you were really sweet to try again for Susan. I know that she would really appreciate that. It is a shame after making plans to drive there. The guards were very nice to let me in on Thursday and Sunday evening, but that was around the open house weekend. The guard was not so nice the day of open house. LOL I made a face at him when we drove by him in the police car. But, shucks, he did not see me! Wanted to tell him yah, yah...look at me, going to the nest!☺
Lynn - Nest Visit is always cleared through NCTC and names given to them for the Security Guards. If there are no classes on campus - we have to choose another Sat.
Wonderful news from Deep Creek Lake, MD. A mama bear found living under a house with her two cubs was successfully relocated to a remote location, along with the little ones!!!
Thanks for a wonderful day of fun and hope -- maybe tomorrow.
I wore my Eaglet Momsters chunky red, white & blue necklace yesterday, changed my avatar to an eaglet and egg for today, now what can I do tomorrow so that these eagles will get the hint that we are waiting? lol
I'll be on the nest night shift again tonight! Maybe the zoom will help with more light.
Good Night, prayers for all needs and health. Until tomorrow....
Hedgie-Lynn thanks for the neat story about the Momma bear and her cubs. That is so great they relocated and they can still be together. ( :
Well remember Mema Jo this Eaglet Momster group did start out looking at the eagle nest on "the turn in the road". So we or Susan can go there use binoculars. Can see nest good there.
I tend to think that the "crack" is some grass...it seems awful light in color...when they start to pip and hatch out, it looks almost black.
Susan, sorry you aren't able to get in...sounds like NCTC has tightened their security. The homeowner's are very nice on that corner....the yellow labs bark, but they don't bite. Bring your binoculars and you will be able to see the nest.
Very puny wushi brought in to nest....sure won't fill up our Belle. Lib took back off, so guess she told him "More, more"!!!! Still not sure about the egg---pip or not?!
Ch. 9's Topper Shutt, meterologist, does a Your Best Shot segment....viewers submit photos. Today's pick was of an eagle in flight, taken by a guy near Baltimore. Will see if I can find a link!
I just plugged in exterior speakers & big deal---don't hear any sound from our nest :>(. Turned on Bear Cam and commercial was good, but just a hum there. too.
I saw your pic Margy - Lib had come in with the very little fish and flew as quick as he dropped it to go for another one I hope. Belle had jumped up to eat it or rather woof it down as Lib flew out
Belle was looking around like Lib might be coming back, but she got up and did a wing stretch, then digging in the bowl and arranging fluff. Can't see a thing...more digging...more fluffinating...OH I see an egg, now both...and a roll..nope think that's fluff on the egg on the left....now finally a wiggle wiggle...she's facing 9ish
My eyes from a full day's worth of viewing are getting tired. I may need a break - Don't have any eye drops.
Thinking back Lynn, the students are allowed to stay on campus over weekends when they have a 2 or 3 or more week's course. I remember when one of our Nest Visits was on a Sat we inquired if the cafe was open - but they were doing box lunches for the people there. That is when the Capt Gene's Lunch Wagon was founded!
We need to send up some positive vibes for an injured eagle found Sunday PM a couple miles from the Park.People who live there saw it on/near edge of Croom Road and intersection of Croom Airport Rd. which goes to the Park. They contacted Park & staff member called DNR & our Director. He in turn called Greg K., our naturalist who was in the area. He met w/people and went thru wooded area off road & couldn't find it.Bird must have come close to road later and the couple caught it & brought to Park covered w/blanket. It was closing time & no one to call to handle situation. People said they had enclosed fenced area like chicken coup, so they kept it overnight. Monday AM our Park Rangers took it to a new rehab fairly close. They say one wing is in bad shape.I'm hoping to get more info soon. The big question will be is this bird from our visible nest? I was able to visit nest a couple times today, just to observe if a 2nd bird appeared. Wasn't there long enough to know, but Mom chirped from the nest both times I saw her.She doesn't do that usually & nothing flying near nest. Some think judging by BW nest that we do have chick(s). At least we see her head now. If they're old enough to be left alone, I suppose one adult could raise them!? Time will tell us these answers. BBL--maybe eat some soup
Hi there are no little ones yet. I believe it is around day 38 or so. We still have a little time don't we?I am hoping that one or both of the eggs will hatch. These two always go through such bad snow storms etc. I am keeping my fingers crossed we have chicks and minute now!

I claim wax!
Belle wiggling back down.
BBL. Must get some things done.
Lib brought as fish for Belle. Then he flew out.
Looks like Lib brought snake for dinner
A little fish, she's eating it now, eggs showing.
WOW Eating time
Get a good look at our eggs
Teeny tiny fish delivery. What do we see on the closest egg?
Boy, she wolfed that down.
still looks like a line of pips... and a little longer, maybe?
Have to go back to Glo's pic.
I had just come back on
I saw the eating
Then I saw the dragging of the food
so that she could get back on the eggs...
What was the food ???
I have taken and marked photo again. Will post on FB and copy link here. See pretty much what I saw before in about same location. Nice sized crack or flugg :-)
lolly, it looked like grass or small twig across the egg
That's a GOOD SIGN isn't it that LIB is delivernig fish to the nest?
make that delivering
TGhanks Megan - a little fish..
Let's hope Lib brings a lot more
fishes so we know what is going on.
Egg check
I hope your right Glo, im getting to anxious...
I think it was longer this time.
Of course it's nearly bed time for me and I thought Lib brouhgt in a snake! :)
looks good under 200 x's zoom! your getting good at this!
LOL Hey Glo, I sent the quiz to everyone! I failed miserably. Yikes!

zoomed in some
I just can not tell if is a crack or flugg!☺

Really cute pic, Lolly.
Oh! Are we going to see anything
Well you certainly tried hard MeMa Jo and yes a part of me understands too. Maybe we need an official Momster Escort. hmmm . I bet being closed this weekend kind of sealed the deal too.
Well Jo, you tried, and she did seem a little nicer this time, deferring to all your Clout!!! :)
Whats back there thats so important that they need to be guarded anyway? Those government places always scare me.
HEADS UP. I predict action at our nest sometime between 5:30 and 6:30 your time as I will be gone then. OK kidding BUT then again it surely could happen.. I will certainly know by the blogger count when I get back

Raining here now for sure.
Hey Everyone - Let's Fudge it and
say We Have An Egg with Pipping Marks........ On day 38 what else could it be!
She sure is fidgety right now. What is she doing?
Thanks for trying, Jo! It really stinks, doesn't it? We've gotten in before on weekends........does this mean that we won't be able to do our spring visit on a Sat.???
She was rocking back & forth on the eggs - side to side really, but hard! Maybe she's trying to help it along. :)
I'll go with that, Jo!
Jo, you were really sweet to try again for Susan. I know that she would really appreciate that. It is a shame after making plans to drive there. Cool for the Bragg Bunch, Jo! That's another good part of living in NC!!!!
The hatch will definitely be this evening. We leave in about 30 min for Dallas.
Awww she's napping. We have a tired eagle. Another sign she has been busy up and down for quite a while is my guess.
Large raindrops here in the valley
Lynn - Nest Visit is always cleared through NCTC and names given to them for the Security Guards.

we have to choose another Sat.
Dinner time here in this home..
BBL (Will try to watch )

Hope she is as good as her Momma
Good late afternoon.
Trying to catch up but need to stop to bake cornbread for a community meeting tonight. Not going but Darth has to and will take the contribution.
Just checked the nest and is quiet but looks a little breezy with fluttering head feathers.
I do hope those who want to visit NCTC will be able to go. Still, getting together will be fun AND there should be babes to celebrate.
Andy, good you have an appt. for Emma.
Lynn, glad Mai is continuing to recover.
Jo, happy the Ft. Bragg Brigade got the the race AND had their pictures taken AND had a good time.
Oh, I think we may just stop at the Sheetz -- I need to be able to say I've actually been there -- sort of like the Parthenon.
BBL
I'm finally home...need to get these shoes off. Already put something in the oven for din din.
Glo and all unless that is grass on that egg. Sure looks like a pip to me. Thanks Glo for close ups.
Horrah for the DNR in
Deep Creek MD. I wonder if it were a summer home and no one knew they were there... Cool Story
Good night all...
Thanks for a wonderful day of fun and hope -- maybe tomorrow.

Susan bring your binoculars
Get Nilla. She will give the guards the encouragement needed to let you all in! :-)
Another little fish for Belle
A still kicking minnow was just brought in.
Lib brought anothe small fish...and he took off.
Look at eggs closests to Belle, I do see a dark spot right in the middle of the egg, the edge facing us
Very puny wushi brought in to nest....sure won't fill up our Belle. Lib took back off, so guess she told him "More, more"!!!!
Still not sure about the egg---pip or not?!
Woofed that one down also lol
I do believe she ate the whole thing :)
Iish is gone! And hiding the eggs as she tends to them or cup.
This time I think I can see the crack toward the middle (bottom) of the R/H egg. Kinda makes the whole egg look elongated.
Not sure, but I thought I saw that egg shell move as well.
C(°Ù¿°)D Jim
Hmmm, maybe the whitey whiteness of the whites in our nest makes the holes/cracks look lighter too? It's a possibility.
I couldn't tell if there is a pip.
That was a small fish brought in.
Lynne2 see what happens if you start smoking again. You might hold up a Food Lion grocery store. So no smoking.....keep up the good work ( :
I hope and pray the Fl manager at Food Lion is going to be ok.
C5 just flew overhead headed towards Wanda's and the nest
That was some Switch !!
Nite Lori!
Sharon - you're so right
Couldn't see the eggs well
Eating now.......
I don't talk when I eat....
I don't even know if it was a switch, sorry....I just saw two birds and then one bird
still cam, you know..
Trying to read some of comments~~saw Glo's egg pic. ???
Very hard to say. Fish delivery might mean something.
sure was hoping, still am hoping, for a new thread sometime or another
Jo, did not know that there were classes going on the spring weekends we went!
Nice to see the cam is zoomed in some. We were supposed to go out for my lobster dinner tonight, but don't want to leave.
Ch. 9's Topper Shutt, meterologist, does a Your Best Shot segment....viewers submit photos. Today's pick was of an eagle in flight, taken by a guy near Baltimore. Will see if I can find a link!
I'm getting to see two little soft bobbleheads at NBG. lol
Here it is:
Eagle pic
I put the incoming or maybe it was outgoing Bird pic from 15 mins ago, on the E-M album
back later on -
go away rain !
Nice picture he got Lynn-Hedgie thanks for putting it on here.
I was so excited to see NBG 2 chicks. I forgot to take a picture.
You would think I am a newbie lol
Shar, I don't know what you mean about Nilla......must be from the old days before my time!!!
Jim, I swear I thought I saw movement, too, but did not trust my eyes!!! Figured it was just my imagination!
Nope, Margy, no switch that time. Just food in...
ok thanks Lynn..food in that's always a good sign
no moonlight tonight probably, so the longer day, is a good thing...
but in the morning we will want an earlier morning ! ☺
Mai is STILL sleeping!! Surprised that she isn't hungry yet!
Just as well that she is asleep I guess, because she's supposed to be kept calm. RIGHT! They don't know Mai!!
Yes Lynn very very good Mai is sleeping. Shoo don't anyone wake Mai up.
Big fish at the head of the eagle at NBG plus she is tenting her chicks. Must be raining there.
Up Close on NBG on chicks
lol one of the little chicks has something black on top of it head lol
Whoa!
Get a load of that zoom!
AND
Glo saw a crack!!!! Woohoo!
I just plugged in exterior speakers & big deal---don't hear any sound from our nest :>(. Turned on Bear Cam and commercial was good, but just a hum there. too.
Belle just did a shake.....hiding the eggs from us. :(
I saw your pic Margy - Lib had come in with the very little fish and flew as quick as he dropped it to go for another one I hope.
Belle had jumped up to eat it or rather woof it down as Lib flew out
Really great pic....
Now a view....moving flugg....grasses moved over egg...no definitive gander...and wiggle, wiggle.
Heading home, cya later
I keep checking for a new thread
I have no idea when it will come
I am just praying that the Zoom
stays up until the Hatching is done.
Judie...saw your comment about stopping at Sheetz....highly recomment that you top off your tank in VA. Gas prices TOO high here at 3.59/gal.
Get that word "Fluffinating"
I forget who is keeping our book
of Nest Words
Was over at NBG & got pic of 2 fuzzy heads, then switched back to our cam & saw what Paula described--fluff moving around eggs.
We really did need that moonlight
tonight of all nights!
BTW, a little while ago, I thought I heard geese! Could that be NCTC?
I didn't watch after 11ish last night, but seemed bright at the nest!
Lynn There are classes at NCTC
year round. That's its purpose -
Training Center..................
Is Lib up there?
I think she heard the geese too, Loreta
could be geese allrighty, headed to their evening roosting grounds probably...or else maybe you heard them at YOUR roost Loretta...
Thanks JO - it was a lucky shot...so much white !!
does anyone here peeperating at the nest? ☺ (as in Spring Peepers)
YAAAAY, I heard a chirp!!!!And I have other cams on pause!!!!
I zoomed up to 200% on that last little show of egg, can only imagine and not know for sure, that it looked a little,
crackerating
Something is going on down under
one of the classes they do...is the fire jumpers...from all over the country
they were there for an EMT class I did many years ago...at NCTC
speaking of geese, I think what I saw fly over this morning here, was NOT Tundra Swans...these were darker in color, so now I have to figure it out
Hey there everyone - How close is
your nose to your screen? lol
yes I zoomed in on a glimpse of that egg too and also thought I am seeing larger crack. I sure wish it wouldn't be getting dark there :-(
Well, there's nose prints on my screen!!!
I know, Jo....but didn't know that there were weekend classes very often. Most gov't. operations don't do weekends!!!!
Oh, yeah, Lowreeda.....geese are there! I seem to have lost sound again....
Heading to sofa for Jeopardy. Wonder how much darker it will be in half-an-hour? Almost dark here now.....

Today is Soup Kitchen - right?

Time will tell us these answers.
BBL--maybe eat some soup
I think I see that pip now....on the egg that was just on the left
I had a phone call - now I must read quickly...
Belle is investigaing something down in the cup
Can't get the live cam at all now.
