I not sure anyone likes a picture of themselves. OMG I had to get a new drivers licence picture in January. First they give you a piece of paper to carry until your licence comes in. The paper had my picture in black and white. It was HORRIBLE! It is a wee bit better in color.
We just have to find something to entertain ourselves during this devastating experience. And, besides that we need to let those gathered for dinner tonight that we can have fun too. LOL
For a cheat sheet--I got a small notebook and put an alphabetletter on each page and made an alphabetized list by screen name. I added a few details like when the person came on the blog, etc. It helped a lot.
I should have done a cheat sheet long ago. You should have seen me studying pictures of previous gatherings of momsters before going to OH the first time.
Lots of good ideas here. I've started a list...a little late, but better late than never. Sharon it has been very, very quiet - thankfully so and therefore we are just kibbitzing...
Been nibbling and watching TV. Eyelids are getting droopy, like I had some Spirits! Just looked at nest & guess that is eggshell? not too far from Belle? Haven't mentioned it, but know many have, that Paddy O'Joy is the strongest, most active chick I've ever seen!
just back from supper. With kitchen renovation, no p0lace to cook. I will try and post some picutres in my profile of my tan Gizmo and new doggies Lynne2 2
I am still hoping the rain will make our intruder move on. We had an intruder at Sidney(but a younger juvenile) and Pa chased him off, but there were no eggs then.
I have a question....do we have any evidence that related eagles..ie mother daughter, mother son, siblings, recognize or "know" each other after they have been away from the nest for 3-4 or more years?
Jewell, no evidence that I know of that would indicate that offspring are recognized years later. Once in awhile though it seems like an eagle is not as aggressive in chasing an intruder away as normal and it has made people wonder...but it's only a theory.
BTW, I called Park today & talked to anoter part time lady to see if she heard from anyone that 1 or 2 birds have been seen at our nest.Shev said no one's seen 2 that she is aware of & that if questions are asked, the answer is, "why don't you ask Loretta????!!" AAARRRGGGHHH, I was only there on TU!!!!I'm gettin' p.o.ed. I suppose it will also be a hands off policy & no fish even if they are needed.I will certainly volunteer to put food out if Dad is missing.I do fill the other bird feeders when I'm there!!!!
bev., you have to make a blog for yourself first. It's pretty easy to do. You just follow the instructions and pic your options and you are on your way!
Your one dog that is standing on you looks almost like my Puddles! She is black with white....did you get on my blog to see the pics?
Oh Loretta, that's crazy! But interesting that you can fill bird feeders for OTHER birds to eat. HMMMMM!
Why don't you go on my blog and copy your picture from the front desk the day Steve and i were there to use for your avatar...that's a really good picture of you!
Boo Hoo Sharon.Don't have any in this new computer~~old one konked w/everything in it. I suppose one of me w/osprey might be on backup disc somewhere. I used it on Blog long time ago---so it might be in supposed Google album( Picasa) they say we have!??
Diann, that's cool - I hear there are eagles that can be seen from "Shank's Mare" on the York Co. side, but best seen in a canoe or kayak. At my size, I don't do kayak's and probably not canoes anymore either.
I am not gonna make it to hear from the party goers. I am going to go upstairs for real this time. The day was long. I have to get my oil changed tomorrow. It is way overdue. On Sunday, Rebecca comes for a new grammar session.
Hey, I know what Loweeda can do with a computer. It certainly should not even take her 20 minutes to get a picture on. Did she really say months??? LOL
Oh, and Loweeda, I meant to make a comment and forgot. Yes, the Mountain Laurel is now blooming in central Texas. I have just a small one, but is not blooming well this year.
Thanks, Lolly and Lynne2. You all should feel honored I actually posted a pic. ;-) I NEVER pose for pictures. Life has taken it's toll, so I do the picture taking now...hee hee.
I'm off to bed. Beyond exhausted. Hoping tomorrow brings even better news!
Oh, yes, the redbuds are beautiful right now. I presently have another batch of daffodils blooming as well as my tuips. The pear tree is green! Spring is here!
Hey all, dinner was great nice seeing some of the momsters again those that made it tonight, it's been to long.
It was also nice seeing the tree, I never realized I live THAT close to it. Sadly I didn't see Lib or intruder as he was already making her chase him but I did see Belle's head thru binocs.
I see it rained, I hope she was able to keep O'Joy covered...
Dana, as already mentioned, you are our SuperLady today. You can't know how relieved we were to hear you had sighted Lib. Now if you can just tell us you managed to sneak in a fish to the nest, we promise not to tell anyone!!! Love ya, girl!!
I am home after a wonderful evening with good friends. Missed all of you who weren't with us. Having lots of trouble with IE.....can't get things open on tabs, so gonna have to do a lot of backtracking. Have cam open on FF, and Belle looks settled at the moment.
I am just greatful Megan was there to answer the phone. She was the one who put it all that I was seeing on the blog. So she gets a BIG HUG and thank you from me.
I can and will say when I seen that intruder follow Belle to the nest. Then even giving Belle time to get into the nest. Then the intruder landed in top of tree. I cried.
I kept thinking our Liberty was injured and couldn't get back to Belle.
When I seen him trying to make his way to the nest to Belle. I cried again. That female intruder is BIG but not fully 5 years old. She seen Liberty trying to get to Belle and the nest. She flew out of top of tree and went after him. It didn't look like she wanted to fight him. They were pretty close to each other. Liberty did the (I think Lori put up an avatar Strong Eagle).Well Liberty put the strong fly power on an led her away from the nest and Belle. She was following him. They were gone a long time. I was going to stay but decided to go ahead and go to dinner. Wasn't anything I could do and now I knew it was a female and now I knew Liberty was alive and helping Belle.
Wow, I missed a lot. I think I read back over everything . . .
I noticed a quirky little fact--there were 911 posts from Thursday night's thread. It certainly was a 911 situation. Dana, we are all so grateful to you. :)
Lynne2, I love the name Trudy the Intruder. Very clever.
Lynne, that is the pic you sent! I just cropped it some. The Blog album link (Picasa) of mine is in My Faves in the dead computer. I know there's a way to get there somehow. It makers an album of all the avatars you use!
Do you know that Belle has not tucked her head one time all evening since it rained? She has been sitting much like she is now with her beak straight down. I've never seen her in one position like that for so long. I finally figured out she has her wings spread a little that's why her tail feathers look a little out of place.
Sharon, would you please tell Norma how much we miss her. Golly, I even adopted her and then she abandoned us! Anyway, tell her and (((hugs))) coming her way!
Dana, I can't thank you enough for taking the time to go and check on our eagles. I am so glad that you confirmed that Liberty is okay.
I knew it was an intruder, because Belle was quite defensive and even lunged at the other bird at one point, and I knew it is a subadult because it still has brown feathers in with the white, but glad it's been confirmed also.
I really, really hope that a fish somehow ends up in that nest soon. The chick's yolk sac is pretty much absorbed now, and since eagles don't regurgitate food, Belle can't have been giving the chick more than perhaps water.
It rained hard for just a few minutes just after Belle had chased off the Intruder once again. Trudy was in the nest for almost a minute - scary. Belle let her know she was not welcome without compromising POJ!!! Haven't heard anymore from T since then.
I love it! Helloooooooooo! Glad to see the old faces and the new ones are fantastic.
SUNNY I can't believe you are thinking what I am thinking. Juvie back at the home nest --- Maybe.. But Sunny I said it was Pecking Pearl.
I am home and just too tire to change my picture at this moment. I think it is so good to see faces on here. I only got as far as Sunny's comment I need to continue reading.
Yes, Dana did come to the Rumsey Eleven of us were there... As we ate, Train was on the Big Screen Guess who we thought of! I want to read more.
Genie-------Chrissy was telling me about one of Isla's offspring that returned to nest near maturity, and that there appeared to be recognition because there was no fighting. She says that if Isla does not return this year, it is very likely that the daughter will become matriarch of that nest. Of course, the Laird is NOT her daddy. So if it's true for osprey, them maybe it's the same for eagles.
I was not watching or on the blog for Spunky. What eaglets were born 2007? My first year was Pecking Pearl, Middie, or whatever we called the middle child, and Tiny in 2008.
Thanks, Hedgie for info. And thanks to Chrissie, too. I haven't tried to research the question yet, but will tomorrow. If I find anything will pass it on with source of info.
If Wanda doesn't come on the reason will be her internet is down.
I did ride down Shepherd Grade Road Saw nothing along the sides of the road but it was before I had heard the news about Lib being safe-- Pulled along side the fence before the curve & viewed the nest & then Robyn came by and stopped on the other side of the road - so we compared notes.
Hey, Lynn! None of us really wanted to post our mugs. LOL We had to really pester Loweeda! LOL But, if we did you....you gotta too!☺ It is really sorta fun to see everyone's pictures.
I need to go to bed. I am about to crash on my butt when I stand up from here.
God you know we wsnt Libert and Belle to be left alone and stay safe from the female intruder. Please send her away to another area for her to build or use an old nest. That no eagle is using. Peace and rest Lord to Libety and Belle and Paddy O'Joy.
Prayers for those that need them.
Thank you Lord for a good time with friends at dinner.
God put a protective shield around the nest of Liberty and Belle and their chicks. Amen

«Oldest ‹Older 201 – 400 of 603 Newer› Newest»Yea, for Luna! And, how well can she see, do you think?
Kathryn turned on Conan the Barbarian. Oh my gosh!
Wheeeeeeeeeee! I did not see that coming!
Watching a lot different TV than you are used to, right Shirley?
I had to watch AI Wed and Thurs. Laurel had not watched it this year and now I have her hooked.
Ok, put a pic up...even though I HATE pictures of myself. ;-)
She can see some, I think, but she is getting around pretty well. I think her counter-surfing days may be over.
Yea, Diane. That is a great picture! This is fun getting all the pictures up!
I like AI. Kathryn likes Survivor. I have not watched AI much this time, but we have plenty of televisions, so I could if I wanted to.
We are gathering in spirit and in picture, I suppose.
I not sure anyone likes a picture of themselves. OMG I had to get a new drivers licence picture in January. First they give you a piece of paper to carry until your licence comes in. The paper had my picture in black and white. It was HORRIBLE! It is a wee bit better in color.
I like your picture, Lolly. It does look like you.
Good news Shirley!
Great picture Diane!
Iris, just get a piece of paper and start making notes...that's what I did!
New driver's licenses in Virginia are black and white. They have decided that it's better than color.
We just have to find something to entertain ourselves during this devastating experience. And, besides that we need to let those gathered for dinner tonight that we can have fun too. LOL
Black and white shows too much!
West End is rolly her eggs and acting a little prissy.
Black and white DL pictures? Interesting.
Oh, just saw your comment, Shirley. Thank you! It was taken about a year ago. Had to cut Jack off. LOL Not the best picture, but not the worst!
For a cheat sheet--I got a small notebook and put an alphabetletter on each page and made an alphabetized list by screen name. I added a few details like when the person came on the blog, etc. It helped a lot.
Of course, I also added the person's real name whenever possible. That was the most useful way of keeping everyone straight.
Okay, I am back home and have to work about 15 more minutes. Things look pretty quiet. I just may have to have a word with Spunky or Ms. InBetween.
Oh Lord, what kind of details do you have documented on me? :)
I should have done a cheat sheet long ago. You should have seen me studying pictures of previous gatherings of momsters before going to OH the first time.
roflmbo Sharon! Had not thought about what kind of notes she was taking. That is a riot!
Lynne to the rescue! I'm usiner her picture of me at the nest visit.
((hugs))
Thanks for the worm moon study Lynne2, interesting.
Sharon, probably just where you are from, when you first joined the blog, and your real name.
My biggest problem was telling Sharon and Bev apart! Sisters look alike!
TH eagle is sitting.
Lordy, Kathryn is now watching Raising Arizona. So much screaming.
I have problems with that, too, Lolly.
Diann, that is NOT the picture I sent you!! LOL!
It is quiet here. Just the hum of the ceiling fan. Enjoy the quiet after Laurel and the boys left.
Not to mention Sharon and Bev's blog names....I'm always getting them wrong!
The White Rock eagle is sitting.
The Decorah eagle is sitting.
Are you sure this isn't the sitting eagle moon?
Awww. Joking. :)
Lots of good ideas here. I've started a list...a little late, but better late than never. Sharon it has been very, very quiet - thankfully so and therefore we are just kibbitzing...
Now that I know them better, I can I can tell them apart but at first I was sooooo confused. But, then, I do get confused so easily!☺
This is my 6th and absolute most painful season.
Some cannot keep their children names straight when upset.
I am keeping an eye on the nest as well and it keep dying on me. It will only last about 19 minutes then I have to refresh.
kabbitzing! Love it!
This is my 4th season. Can you believe it?
Watching the NBG cam two years ago was really horrible, but nothing compared to this!
Okay, here it is Lynne2. Had to come back to change it.
Now... off to take meds and watch some tv.
Will check in tomorrow. Goodnight
Yea, Diann!!!! Great picture!
Sitter change on the Sidney nest.
Last year was challenging, but this year is worse for sure.
Sorry, Lynne, I was outside. The pictures I put on my facebook page are the peeper , I think.
just back from supper. With kitchen renovation, no p0lace to cook.

Belle is most definitely not relaxed as she was last night. Just saw her moving her head around.
Egg roll!
Good pic, Diann.
Belle is up and checking Padojoy.
Genie, I have never heard of such, but I am not the one to ask.☺
Hornby nest is mt.
Good question, Genie. I do not know.
Where are the party goers? I really thought we would hear from them by now.
Jewell, no evidence that I know of that would indicate that offspring are recognized years later. Once in awhile though it seems like an eagle is not as aggressive in chasing an intruder away as normal and it has made people wonder...but it's only a theory.
PANana - love you picture - remind me where in PA? I'm from York County
I do not know how to post pictures for you Lynne2
Your biologists probably keep track of all the hatches over the years.
Does anyone have sound?
I am not hearing anything.
Iris, I just have a low hissing sound. I think we might have sound.
The nest has certainly gotten darker.
I still have sound
Iris, I don't hear anything now...usually have sound
And the moon went behind the clouds.
Couldn't stay away besides it's nothing on tv by basketball and I'm not a fan.
Iris, I'm in Lancaster County. Howdy neighbor. You're across the Susquehanna River from me.
I can't tell if I have sound or not. I did earlier because I could hear the wind, and the eagle of course. Right now I hear nothing.
Yeah, those little guys look like Peepers Megan!
OH Diann, I see you've got the picture! Very good!
I love seeing the real pictures on here and shame on those of you who don't have one of you! :-)
BTW, I called Park today & talked to anoter part time lady to see if she heard from anyone that 1 or 2 birds have been seen at our nest.Shev said no one's seen 2 that she is aware of & that if questions are asked, the answer is, "why don't you ask Loretta????!!" Okay kids, I am going to bed now. Hope all the partiers make it home safe. Talk to you'ns in the morning.
Oh Loretta, that's crazy! But interesting that you can fill bird feeders for OTHER birds to eat. HMMMMM!
Why don't you go on my blog and copy your picture from the front desk the day Steve and i were there to use for your avatar...that's a really good picture of you!
Loooooooooooweeeeeeeeda! Where is your picture, girl? Get with it!!!
yes where exactly ARE those party animals???? I hope they are not doing anything that will require us to put up bail money.....
Just in case I will start wrapping some pennies for bail... nite all
Boo Hoo Sharon.Don't have any in this new computer~~old one konked w/everything in it. I suppose one of me w/osprey might be on backup disc somewhere. I used it on Blog long time ago---so it might be in supposed Google album( Picasa) they say we have!??
I am hoping they found a way to sneak a few fish in....and I am willing to put up bail money if that is the case
Nothing from the party-goers? They must be having a good time.
Poor Belle can't seem to relax. I hope she gets some undisturbed sleep and rest.
HELLO... LIB!! Your mate needs food and babysitter. Come back!
Diann, that's cool - I hear there are eagles that can be seen from "Shank's Mare" on the York Co. side, but best seen in a canoe or kayak. At my size, I don't do
kayak's and probably not canoes anymore either.
Took me awhile to get one, too, Loretta. I had to wait for Kathryn to come home and take one.
Okay, okay!! I am heading into the other room to wrap pennies!
Nite Sharon!(((Hugs)))
My eyelids are dropping.
Good night. Prayers for you.
♥
It would be tough for them to do Genie! But you just never know with DANA!!! LOL!!!
LORETTA YOU HAVE MAIL!!! With picture!
Oh, Lynne--I think I have a couple pics on Blog. Will check--may take a month!!! LOL
I wish someone could/did call Rumsey about my Judie and Darth clandestine leadership event!!! Tee Hee Perhaps the Party has moved up the road!!!!
That is a good picture, Loweeda! Use it!
Sorry, you do not have a month. I give you 20 minutes, tops, to get that picture and put it on. LOL
I am not gonna make it to hear from the party goers. I am going to go upstairs for real this time. The day was long. I have to get my oil changed tomorrow. It is way overdue. On Sunday, Rebecca comes for a new grammar session.
I know, they probably came home, saw all this crazy kabitzing (sp?) and decided not to get on!
Do you suppose Darth would go along with it?
you tell her Lolly! AND I just sent her another one from the Oct Dinner!
Nite Shirley, glad you did return and with that pretty picture, too!(((hugs)))
Good night!
Nite Shirley!
Hey, I know what Loweeda can do with a computer. It certainly should not even take her 20 minutes to get a picture on. Did she really say months??? LOL
yeah, who exactly does she think she is trying to kid? LOL!
Oh, and Loweeda, I meant to make a comment and forgot. Yes, the Mountain Laurel is now blooming in central Texas. I have just a small one, but is not blooming well this year.
I'll hang on a few minutes longer, but then I'm off to bed too. It has felt really good to blog again.
It's hard to tell, but is that Belle's tail feathers or what? It looks like it's on her left side...
I guess I am first to get on here and say I am back from the dinner.
Just let me say this; "It was so so GREAT seeing Liberty".!!! ( :
You've got Redbuds blooming down there too don't you Lolly?
I do believe I got WAX!!! Yikes!
Looks like it Iris, but it looks contorted some how...
DANA our hero of the day!!! Thank you so much for checking out the situation in person!
Oh, yes, the redbuds are beautiful right now. I presently have another batch of daffodils blooming as well as my tuips. The pear tree is green! Spring is here!
Good nite Diane! We ARE honored! To have you with us!
Night Diane!
ICCKK!!
YAYYYY, Dana!! Glad you're on so I can thank you so much for scouting our birds!!! Bless you, bless you!
I haven't put St. Francis back outside yet and I'm going to rub his head!!and wear his medal & St. Anthony's too!
oh you just STOP it Loretta....I think that's a good picture, and the other one I sent too.
Yea, Loweeda! We knew you could do it!
Hi Robyn! You are the first to check in. Glad you all had a great time.
Great to hear about Lib!!! Let's hope the young intruder finally gets the picture and gets outta dodge so daddy can load that nest with fish.
Glad you had fun Robyn! Now that you know how close you are, how close minute wise ARE you?
Be back during breaks~~(my Soap repeat is on!!)
Okay, missed that Dana had already checked in.
You are our hero for the day Dana. Thanks!
Hi Sturnmeyer! We would all be happy to second that emotion!!!
Well DANA, you are the HERO of the day!!! We all breathed a sight of relief when we got the message that you had actually SEEN our LIB.
Way to go DANA!!!! Love and HUGS - big hugs
Amen, to that, Lynne.
I don't know guys but I think Dana just may be our hero of the year. Thank you so much.
Darn it...signed in with the work gmail account...let's try this again.
Dana, as already mentioned, you are our SuperLady today. You can't know how relieved we were to hear you had sighted Lib. Now if you can just tell us you managed to sneak in a fish to the nest, we promise not to tell anyone!!!
Love ya, girl!!
Lolly, you didn't get WAX!
Lynne due to the speed limit it can take 15 min, some spots are slow due to the curves...
I am home after a wonderful evening with good friends. Missed all of you who weren't with us. Having lots of trouble with IE.....can't get things open on tabs, so gonna have to do a lot of backtracking. Have cam open on FF, and Belle looks settled at the moment.
wow, that IS close! Maybe you'll get a chance to check on them from time to time!
What time did dinner break up?
Hi Lynn!
I thought I commented at 300. But, what do I know! LOL
I am so ready for the party goers to report in.
I cried.

I was going to stay but decided to go ahead and go to dinner. Wasn't anything I could do and now I knew it was a female and now I knew Liberty was alive and helping Belle.
I would have cried too Dana. I did when I heard you had seen Lib! It just makes everything seem more hopeful!
Oh, Hi Lynn! We are anxious to get a good report on tonights party!
Also, you are now required to change your avatar!
you did Lolly....but I think WAX is at the split?
I think it's called something else at the half split...think I remember Sharon mentioning it recently.
I didn't realize I was starting something with a real picture but I am loving seeing all these beautiful faces.
Dinner broke up close to 10! I thought I would be home by 9, funny how time just slips away lol
Thanks for the report, Dana. It gave us all a little hope, and just so thankful that Lib is okay.
I was going to ask what WAX was. Still don't think I understand.
Lynne, that is the pic you sent!
I just cropped it some. The Blog album link (Picasa) of mine is in My Faves in the dead computer. I know there's a way to get there somehow. It makers an album of all the avatars you use!
Wax is at every 100 posts. Oh dear, I just thought of Normabyrd. I am going to call her tomorrow.
@wvgal_dana great work!! THank you...How far were you away from them?
Loretta, I sent a second one in a separate email.
Do you know that Belle has not tucked her head one time all evening since it rained? She has been sitting much like she is now with her beak straight down. I've never seen her in one position like that for so long. I finally figured out she has her wings spread a little that's why her tail feathers look a little out of place.
Pam I will fill you in tomorrow on the wax. Too hard to do from my iPhone.
OK who is going to tell Pam what WAX is?
Good grief, I really thought it was only at the splits! Duh! Like, omygawd is it my first day here?
SO much catching up to do!!! Think I better read backward instead of forward......but need to spend some time with Mai, too.
Good night folks. Tomorrow is Sissy's 52nd birthday. She is pretty old. :-)
the real picture thing was a great idea Sharon!
please tell Norma hello for me!
Sharon, would you please tell Norma how much we miss her. Golly, I even adopted her and then she abandoned us! Anyway, tell her and (((hugs))) coming her way!
WHen we came out of the Clarion, we did see that it had rained some.....didn't look like much....???? Was it a shower or a storm?
LORI----thank you SO very much for the pleasant dessert surprise! But we missed you!
Lynne2- ROFLMBO.
Ohhh, Shame on you, Sharon! Just like a sister! LOL
Just read this thread.
The chick's yolk sac is pretty much absorbed now, and since eagles don't regurgitate food, Belle can't have been giving the chick more than perhaps water.
aw, Lori didn't come? Hope everything is OK, she hasn't been on here either.
LOL, Sharon......if you think Sissy is old at 52, what do you think about me???!!!!!
oh Sharon you wicked little sister!
It rained hard for just a few minutes just after Belle had chased off the Intruder once again. Trudy was in the nest for almost a minute - scary. Belle let her know she was not welcome without compromising POJ!!! Haven't heard anymore from T since then.
We are ancient, Lynn! I am sure that is what she thinks of us! Grrrr! LOL
Guess I'm not old, just Ancient at 75, right?
You all are not old. My sister, however, is really old.
Sharon, you are a hoot!!!
I love it! Helloooooooooo!
Glad to see the old faces and the new
ones are fantastic.
SUNNY I can't believe you are thinking what I am thinking. Juvie back at the home nest --- Maybe..
But Sunny I said it was Pecking Pearl.
I am home and just too tire to change my picture at this moment. I think it is so good to see faces on here.
I only got as far as Sunny's comment
I need to continue reading.
Yes, Dana did come to the Rumsey
Eleven of us were there...
As we ate, Train was on the Big Screen
Guess who we thought of!
I want to read more.
And YOUR sister will even be OLDER
tomorrow........ Well shoot in
22 minutes..........
Wootwoot on Train. It would be more like Spunky or Ms. InBetween, don't ya think?
Thanks in advance for the wax info, Sharon. And tell your Sissy Happy Birthday! Are you gonna give her 52 whacks?
I doubt it is a returning chick from previous years. It IS a subadult, 5 years old maybe 6.
Poor Belle...wet, cold, stressed, a hungry chick under her...
Spunky and siblings should be all white heads and tails by now don't you think?
Glad you like the pictures, Jo. We decided to have some fun tonight. We want everyone to post their picture as their avatar.
So glad you all had such a great evening. Anxious to hear all about it and see pictures.
The 2006 eaglets are 5 now.
Is there a video of this Trudy character's intrusion this evening?
How dare she! Belle needs to open up a can of whoop-a$$ and send her on her way.
Pecking Pearl would only be 3 years old. Spunky would be 4, so you think this one is older than that, Delphia?
Pam, I don't know if anyone got a video. I have no idea how do capture a video....can anyone instruct me?
Genie-------Chrissy was telling me about one of Isla's offspring that returned to nest near maturity, and that there appeared to be recognition because there was no fighting. She says that if Isla does not return this year, it is very likely that the daughter will become matriarch of that nest. Of course, the Laird is NOT her daddy.
So if it's true for osprey, them maybe it's the same for eagles.
Actually Spunky would be 5 years old this month - Born in March of 2006.
Wasn't there something similar in PH out in California? The parents were not as aggressive as expected?
But that one was a younger juvenile I believe. Glo might remember the details better than I
Paula would have to be the one to tell you, Lynne. I have never even attempted getting a video.
Love seeing all of your faces again....but you KNOW how much I hate having my pic taken.....I will look for a decent one....there are NO good ones!!!
I was not watching or on the blog for Spunky. What eaglets were born 2007? My first year was Pecking Pearl, Middie, or whatever we called the middle child, and Tiny in 2008.
Finally---major computer problems today--finally able to be back on here for a few minutes! Do I understand that Dana went to NCTC?
Don't forget, tomorrow night is the Super Worm Moon!
Super Moon
Thanks, Hedgie for info. And thanks to Chrissie, too. I haven't tried to research the question yet, but will tomorrow. If I find anything will pass it on with source of info.
If Wanda doesn't come on the reason will be her internet is down.
I did ride down Shepherd Grade Road
Saw nothing along the sides of the road but it was before I had heard the news about Lib being safe-- Pulled along side the fence before the curve & viewed the nest & then Robyn came by and stopped on the other side of the road - so we compared notes.
Hey, Lynn! None of us really wanted to post our mugs. LOL We had to really pester Loweeda! LOL
But, if we did you....you gotta too!☺ It is really sorta fun to see everyone's pictures.
Hi Jenny! We've been very chatty tonight and no, she didn't go to NCTC but was able to get to a place nearby where she could see the nest!
♪♪♫♪♪ Happy Birthday Beverly
Happy Birthday to You! Enjoy this upcoming year, gal! Love Ya ♥
Lynne, I think you have to have a certain type of software to capture video. I remember Paula telling me about it last year.
I just remember that someone had video of Trudy's other nest landing, and thought maybe we had one of the latest.
well how 'bout them apples! It's after midnight!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY SISSY!!! Hope you have a good one!
Okay, I am heading to the shower. Will be back to say good night. I am pooped. We had two very active days with Laurel and the boys.
Lolly - Did Lily get a new collar the other day?
oh yeah, now that you mention that Pam, I think you are right about the software.
Jenny, in case you didn't notice we have decided to put our real pics on the blog! Join in if you like!
Lori thank you for dessert ( :
I need to go to bed. I am about to crash on my butt when I stand up from here.
God you know we wsnt Libert and Belle to be left alone and stay safe from the female intruder. Please send her away to another area for her to build or use an old nest. That no eagle is using.
Peace and rest Lord to Libety and Belle and Paddy O'Joy.
Prayers for those that need them.
Thank you Lord for a good time with friends at dinner.
God put a protective shield around the nest of Liberty and Belle and their chicks. Amen
night everyone be safe and take care
I'm heading for shower and bed....
Hope everyone has a good night, prayers for you all!
