Good Good Morning - Thankful for all your comments - I think you covered all the topics that needed to be discussed. I am watching our nest & NBG nest. Blackwater is having their Eagle Festival today. Sometimes the get rained out but not today - Perfect weather for them.
Good morning! Hi Lynne! Good to see you on here today!
Enjoyed the talk on bluebirds. Jack built me a bluebird house a week ago and put it up out front. We get bluebirds here but not a lot, so whether or not we get any is a big question. We have lots of bird houses Jack has built to specifications but do not get birds nesting in them. Oh well!
Presently 62 and going up. Heading to a nursery for my first run of the year. Uh oh! ☺
Lynne, not feeling too bad this am but the fever starts in the afternoon until evening. I hate those chills.
Glad you're better. You sure had a round of it.
You too Glo and Lynn and Margy. Did I forget someone? If so, I'm going to use Glo's comment, "He knows."
Prayers for Japan and all the disaster relief workers. My niece spent a year studying in Japan in 2009-10 and she loved the country and made lots of friends.
I'm sure if I asked I could bring the cam up on the computer from time to time to check. Shouldn't be a problem....but it's on another desk, not mine. So I couldn't actually WATCH for any length of time.
I think, and JMHO, that there is NOT a chick yet, or at least all the way hatched out because no food has been brought in to the nest yet. But maybe a partially hatched chick? I know it can take a long time in some cases for the hatch to be complete so maybe she ate just a piece of shell?
Good late morning, everyone. Slept late, coffee, and newspaper. I love Spring break!
Margy, have a good day at work and sure hope your other niece has good news from Japan.
Lori, sounds as if Kate is making good progress. May she continue to improve.
Hornsby had both adults there this a.m. Looked like female was testing the egg cup.
NBG looks very pretty this morning. Hope they have a hatch during the warmer weather.
Our nest -- saw two eggs all alone then adult returned. I'm thinking mid-week for our nest.
Shirley, can never understand why students take such a risk -- lower GPA, on the transcript forever, kicked out of school, not the least is loss of respect from others. So really stupid.
Diann, wishing you some relief today. Feel better, please.
Lolly, happy flower shopping.
Okay, off to check the cams again then try to get some work done. BBL
On the subject of BLUEBIRDS: They like their houses placed in an open area, away from woods, shrubs, etc. Not close to a building or house. That is what they prefer, but, there is always the exception to the rule.
Just read some bad news on comcast face page that a nuclear plant hit be the earthquake could, or is, leaking radiation. They are worried about a core meltdown. Sure hope they can cool that core!
I remember TMI. Really scary!!! We were almost evacuated.
Judie and Shirley, so sorry about the plagiarism you have to deal with......do you find that it is worse now than it was years ago?
Question for your bird boxers---I have an ornamental house on a post----rather small entranceway on it. But I saw two chickadees showing much interest in it...they acted like they wanted to go in, but there's an old wasp nest in there. Do you think they were looking for a place to build----or looking for larva (way too early for that!)?????
NBG - don't think we'll know of a hatch until we see an egg shell. They have zoomed every which way and still can't get a good look down into that egg well.
OK, I have ZERO motivation to do anything productive today, and so much to do!
Lynn, bet the chickadees were looking for a nest spot! They are cavity nesters, and I just looked up the nesting season which begins in April. I had a pair this morning showing some interest in the BB house out front, but the BB didn't allow them to hang around long!
Back from buying plants, now to get busy but had to check on NBG first.
Bought a couple of red geraniums, some Italian parsley and some fennel. The fennel is for our butterflies and caterpillars.☺ Also, bought grass plugs so need to get with it! Now 72!
Lilacs should be pruned right after the blossoms die off, or even right before when they start looking ugly. Don't prune now or it won't bloom this spring!
Thanks, Lynne. I had to cut off broken limbs after the blizzard last year (which I think Megan said to do), so never did anything else to it the rest of the year. It didn't bloom... :(

Back on the nest and gave a waggle of the wings.
and back on the eggs
this looks like the same adult to me....
♫Wiggle down, waggle down...wiggle wiggle wiggle♫
: D
Now don't anyone have a cardiac arrest - good morning!
I'm usually a night owl, but something woke me up this morning -it's a male in the house - and I couldn't get back to sleep.
Been checking all the cams, even the Finland ones, and watching the videos of the bears. Those cubs are so cute!
Will be keeping our cam up for the egg break. Is it this weekend or next? This early hour my brain doesn't work well.
LOL Yep its workin. I do Love Lucy. too funny.
This weekend or Monday Diann! Hope you are feeling better this morning.
The OC chat is saying this is day 35 and likely to see hatching on day 37 or 38.
: )
Sunday, Monday, or Tuesday.
It'll be Monday while I'm at work and can't watch :(

By the end of next week both of our eggs should have hatched.
I am remembering last year when Palmer hatched!
I never ever thought I would see an eagle jump for joy, but that is exactly what Belle did!
I will never forget that.
BBL
Definitely have sound this weekend, I hear the wind!!
Lynne, not feeling too bad this am but the fever starts in the afternoon until evening. I hate those chills.

Guess I'll go find something to eat.....
... later
Maybe because of the RS Hawks Lolly?
Jo, sure wish I was at the Eagle Fest today!
That's funny Lynne2. I am very glad I can pull up the still cam at work.
BBLTTFS
NBG eagle looking down. LOL Looks like she is thinking "What the heck is going on down there?"
Ooooo. NBG is getting up. Now it's my turn to see her reach down in and pick up a white thing and eat it!!!!
WOW.
egg roll at NBG. Saw one egg for sure but looked like 2 were rolled.
I saw an egg under BNG but didn't see a chick.
I'll put you all on hold so I can get my breakfast - BEagle this morning I'll have an inorganic nanna also.
I didn't see her eat a white thing??!!
I'm sure if I asked I could bring the cam up on the computer from time to time to check. Shouldn't be a problem....but it's on another desk, not mine. So I couldn't actually WATCH for any length of time.
She's got at least one chick under there for sure.
BEagle I'm not sure if that was a piece of shell or a feather
Well, Lynne, we have lots of nests around...on window sill, in flower pots, in the roses and in the trees....just not in the bird houses.
Yes, at first I thought it was a feather but she swallowed it.
They have already seen this happen according to the chat on the NBG but this was before my very eyes.
Could it be a quick succession of two hatches?
Or maybe still leftover egg shell from the first.
You really see the lack of color on our cam as you switch from NBG to our cam. Wonder why? The quality of the cam?
Oh. Hi Paula. I just wouldn't think the eagles would swallow their feathers.
That's what it looked like was a feather.
Lolly, that's too funny! Silly birds!
Do you think there is a chick at NBG? There has not been a fish delivery yet.
Lolly, I think the color issue has to due with the computer that captures the video and sends it to Outdoor.
I think our cam will green up a little more. Don't you?
I think, and JMHO, that there is NOT a chick yet, or at least all the way hatched out because no food has been brought in to the nest yet. But maybe a partially hatched chick? I know it can take a long time in some cases for the hatch to be complete so maybe she ate just a piece of shell?
The bird houses are there for them though. I think the birds appreciate the thought.
Oh there I go. Humanizing the birds!
Oh well.
BEagle, I wasn't sure if she swallowed it or tossed it.
It will green up...
You are probably right. Well, I am sure you are right Lynne2.
Food is a sure sign of a new eagle.
I do have new glasses. :D
Maybe she moved food from her crop down and it looked like she swallowed it.
BBL&INK
OK time to leave and do something productive.....
another egg roll at NBG.
Okay, what did we see? An eaglet or an egg?
dad back at nest to take over....
They certainly zoomed in close. LOL
no eaglet seen. They got a good close up and all I could see was maybe one egg and some white feathers in the cup.
dad up again, another closeup, nothing revealed
Up again and rolled one egg, the one you can see.
Good late morning, everyone. Slept late, coffee, and newspaper. I love Spring break!

I like the ads about the little remote vacuum. Didn't we dream of that when the Jetsons came on several years ago?
Lib and a wiggle down.
Two eagles at White Rock.
Two eagles on the Hornby.
I really need to leave this wonderful company and eat a bite of breakfast.
I am crazy! Celebrated loosing weight by eating out and putting it back on. Oh well! Back to the diet!
BBL
Even though I have been watching for years, I still can learn from NBG moderators! Love their discussion board.
NBG might have a hatch starting today. It will take awhile for the chick to fully come out. If it is happening.
I have to start getting ready. Heading to Hagerstown to meet up with Aunt Janie. That is my daughters Aunt....we are sill very close.
On my daughters biological Dad's side.
Something is really distracting the NBG eagle on the nest.......
GOOD MORNING EVERYONE...
On the subject of BLUEBIRDS: They like their houses placed in an open area, away from woods, shrubs, etc. Not close to a building or house. That is what they prefer, but, there is always the exception to the rule.

sssssssssssssssssssss
I haven't seen them yet, but apparently both of Phoebe's eggs hatched this morning.
C(°ٿ°)D Jim
Egg Roll!
I think Lib is listening to something!
Egg roll our nest...no peeking, lol
Wiggle Waggle
He was a diggin :)
I see lots of 'green' on our still cam
I think I better just wait for NBG to
announce their first eaglett... I can't really afford to sit all day today.
Just got knocked off NBG and can't get back on.
Just read some bad news on comcast face page that a nuclear plant hit be the earthquake could, or is, leaking radiation. They are worried about a core meltdown.
Sure hope they can cool that core!
I remember TMI. Really scary!!!
We were almost evacuated.
Diann, I know what you mean about TMI
Japan has a number of nuclear plants.
Wind is really loud on the speaker at our nest.
Going to take a break since it is almost the noon hour and I need my
street clothes on.........
BBILW
Took a nap.....feel a bit better now. See that nothing has happened---except that the smudge is worse again----wonder what it could be??
Glo, glad you are chilling and feeling a bit better.
NBG is making me woozy!! Wind is hard here, too, but I don't think our tree sways as badly as the pine does!
Lynn, I have seen the blur in the very bottom left corner of our cam...might be a touch of condensation?
They just zoomed NBG. Swaying not as noticeable.
Judie and Shirley, so sorry about the plagiarism you have to deal with......do you find that it is worse now than it was years ago?

NBG just did an egg roll and set back down deep in the bowl again. I don't believe an egg has hatched yet.

If you can get the old wasp nest out of the house, that would help, however, if they want it badly enough, they'll clean it out themselves.
to those with Butterfly Bushes....
this weekend through the upcoming week is the best time to cut them back. You can prune them all the way back to 6". Trust me, it will grow back!
I'm finding it difficult to leave but the day is getting away from me.
God bless.
Falcon Nest PA - still just 1 beautiful egg
Just checked on Phoebe. Haven't caught her off the nest yet.
I haven't seen an adult on the BWE nest today. Just the three pretty chickies.
Is that the falcon egg up at the front of the nest box? Kind of red?
BBS.
Yes BEagle - the falcon egg is a very pretty pinkish color
TY Jo.
It makes me nervous to watch Phoebe.
Wonder why!
Eagles 4 kids: No eagles around but
nest is in perfect shape - even can see the egg cup.
Need to take a break..
Back from buying plants, now to get busy but had to check on NBG first.
Bought a couple of red geraniums, some Italian parsley and some fennel. The fennel is for our butterflies and caterpillars.☺ Also, bought grass plugs so need to get with it! Now 72!

Okay, Lynne. TY---I'll clean out the wasp nest.
What about Lilac bush??? Should it be trimmed back, too?
Lilacs should be pruned right after the blossoms die off, or even right before when they start looking ugly. Don't prune now or it won't bloom this spring!
Both in nest at NBG with a live flopping fish.........
I see the fish! Not flapping anymore.
Big wushi in NBG!!!
WOO HOO dinner for the new baby at NBG I think!
NGB looks to be questioning what is going on. She's up.
Cannot see anything yet
Dagnabbit.
Nut puckey
Excuse me, I lost it.
The NGB eagle got up just enough to check underneath a little, then plopped back down!
I didn't see anything but an egg!
Oh and then she just yawned.
WAIT she is checking again!!!!!
OH OH OH OH
OH pooter.
BBL
I see little feetsies at the BWE
Finally got back on NBG...wushi is a good sign!
Thanks, Lynne. I had to cut off broken limbs after the blizzard last year (which I think Megan said to do), so never did anything else to it the rest of the year. It didn't bloom... :(
Guessing that's Lib.
Wiggle Wiggle.
Up for an egg roll...some stretches, fluff rearranging, and finally wiggle wiggle...oops, move just a tad, wiggle wiggle.
Think I was wrong now.
Anyway, adult back on eggs and comfy.
Already a fly on the fish at NBG...Momma snapped at it :)
I think that's Lib, too.
Good sunny afternoon, BEagle, Paula, Lynn . . .
I'll have to pop up the NBG cam is they had a chick! How exciting.
How many HOURS until we have one with Belle and Lib?
It's getting so close.
That must be one HUGE fish in the NBG nest. Nearly as big as the adult eagle. :)
Phoebe hummer has a hatch!!!
She is off the nest at the moment!
Ahhh! Wushi! That is a good sign. Now if only we could see an eaglet!!!
Awwwwww. I see Phoebe's two little chicks.
Phoebe just fed the little ones!
Hi there Lori.
Thanks for the morning posts.
NBG eagle was up. Did anyone see a chick?
New thread -- y'all come on over!
