I would welcome sweet potato recipes. Supposed to be healthier than regular potatoes. Used some to make oven fries about a month ago. Good but the skins don't stay crispy.
Another day out doing errands. Heating up ribs for tonight. Darth is home. Have piled sauerkraut on top. In the South, that is a bit of a tradition for New Year's day. Well, pork of some type, anyway. Supposed to bring good luck. Need to serve with Black Eyed peas.
Sure am still sorry about Phoebe's eggs. Maybe she new they were not viable?
Took me a while to Split, Split and find you. We were in Catonsville for lunch and a visit with daughter & family. Hardly any traffic going down but driving home it was a steady east bound row of cars. Wow - I took a nap when we got home and now I am starving. Going to get dinner - sorry I missed our royal couple. BBILW
Stopping in to say hello. Just got my transcription medical word definitions finished. Can now go turn that in tomorrow and do the final exam for that class ahead of time, leaving me the rest of Monday, and all of Tuesday to study for the Algebra final and the English final.
I'm so glad you guys got to see our eagles this morning, and that they were doing some serious nestorations! Hope when they install the new cam it doesn't discourage them! Hope they are able to move Boris elsewhere, too. Would be nice to actually see the nest instead of webs at night!
Charlee the bulldog was looking better this morning, with no hives, and healed "hot spots", but she was not feeling like her usual rambunctious self. She was pretty lethargic at first when we got to the house, but did eat. She got motivated somewhat before we left to go get some breakfast, and we came back to check on her at noon, and she was better. Now Katie has hives, though! We went to Petco and got a bag of Blue Mountain dog food, and a can of "Chicken Dinner" for them. The main ingredient in their old food is ground corn--I'm VERY suspicious of that as a possible allergen. Sis-in-law is taking them to the vet when she gets home tomorrow at about noon. I will feed them the new food for breakfast and see if they improve. Oh, my! What a stressful situation! Local vet seems clueless--even gave SIL a box of oral flea meds to give them. TG she didn't give it to either one of them! This is NO time for either one of them to have flea meds on board! The vet who specializes in bulldogs is all the way out in Riverside. Hope I don't have any more problems with them--not sure I could get Charlee into my car! She would have to go up a whole flight of brick stairs to get to it!
SIL has said before that I ought to become a pet sitter, but I surely don't think I would want to make a business of it. Far too much responsibility if there's a medical emergency, and too much stress to suit me! Had quite a scare with Charlee this morning!
I'm wondering if SIL's housecleaning service has used any new products, or if the "knuckleheads" have chewed on any new plants or bushes. They seem to make a habit of chewing up anything they can get their mouth around!
Andy, may I give some advice? It's not good to change dog food all at one time....it's supposed to be mixed with what they currently eat a bit at a time until it ends up being all new kind. Just a cautinary suggestion.
Good Sunday evening Eagle Pals...thanks for all the well wishes before my trip today... met up with brother and sister in law at Prime Time Outlets, left their car there... drive was enjoyable, visit was great, got to visit with some of the other Williamseseseses also, happy cheerful loving bunch of kids and their kids also. Anne is pretty alert, saying some funny rather uninhibited things! LOL she is getting good care, but they really need to have some paid folks coming to help with the transfers from bed to chair and those kinds of things... hoping that will happen pretty soon. Anne is cheerful and looks good....she may not fully recover but she is much much happier being at home, and is eating well also. ♥
sad call we took yesterday afternoon at work: lady lost the service dog she has for being hearing impaired, a long haired, tan and brown dachschund.... it had gotten tangled up in its leash, and owner disconnected the leash, dog, named "Ozzy" slipped away from her when the elevator door at the local Days Inn opened up.... four hours later when I left, Ozzy was still unaccounted for. Might have been dognapped, or just wandered off. :(
Ozzy was entered into NCIC (National crime information center) as a missing dog (like missing persons are entered) Ozzy had a microchip, so that is its identifier; owner and the female police officer who handled the investigation, very upset about the whole thing There was a group of visiting band competition members at the hotel checking out at about the same time....a couple of them were suspects, but no resolution after questioning them either :(
Lynn, I know--am feeding the pups their usual "bones" (like large Milkbones, but from Costco) instead of the dog food with mainly corn. Thought I'd mix some of the Blue food in with that and see how they like it.
Oh, Margy, I hope Ozzy is found!!! Many prayers going up about that! Glad to hear that Anne is doing well. Hope some professional help can be found for transfer to chair from bed, etc. Can be kind of tricky. Prayers for her continued improvement!
Welcome to the World Kayden...Lynn's Carolyn's great-nephew...
GREAT morning Eagle visit pics, Wanda, and Evening Eagle visit pics, Loretta AND Evening Eagle Visit Video Paula... that was really neat watching Belle circle around and come in from the left ☺
Paula, new snowman and goosie on a porch showing on still cam!
Margy, glad that you had a nice visit, and found the situation fairly stable. Prayers for the best. Heard that call about the service dog.....so sad. Feel very sorry for the lady. Couldn't the police have searched the band busses and luggage, etc.?? Something had to have transpired that made her suspect that those students could be involved. :(
Well heading for my set to get me legs up. Soup by Campbell's that doesn't have as much sodium in have been great!!!
This evening I did add a turkey burger chopped up in one of the soups.
Prayers for all the need them.
Prayer please dear God somehow, someway allow that service dog to be found for that lady...Margy-Lynn speak to the "finder of things". I thank you for the dogs return in advance LORD JESUS. amen
Andy, you have got things in line! I predict A for Algebra!! Paula, wonderful video. I hadn't noticed Belle circle the nest---Cool! Margy, so glad things are brighter for Anne.☺ Terrible news about Ozzy--hope he's found soon! Gotta get ready for Migrate. Thx for reminder, Lynn!!
It is amazing how much a baby changes in such a short amount of time. I'll bet Gianni looks like a little wind-up baby doll crawling around. She is such a cutie! I hadn't seen Jayden for 3 weeks and he has grown so much. Says da da da da da.......:)
Happy at home and eating well, MARGY, is good news! That is what makes me happy with GG..."Happy at home and eating well" So glad you had a nice visit. Leaves a smile on your heart!
St. Anthony it is, Dana... I had never known before of a service dog for hearing impaired, and was touched to hear that it was a dachschund ♥
Thanks again friends for all the support, prayers and encouragement regarding Anne....she's a trooper, and has always "offered it up" in times of trial.
Once again, enjoyed the youngster tales......Gianni, Jayden... saw a few cute youngsters myself today. Funny, my brother said if we had had a car seat, he wanted to take one of the great-nephews home ☺
Headed to bed early, I just feel like doing some reading, more like, looking at pictures !
Thanks so much for capturing the video, Paula. We ventured over to son's after eating for a visit. Boys are advising me of a new Harry Potter coming out. I always have gone with the boys (20 & 15) since the very 1st movie. Loretta, I loved the video about the baby hummer's upbringing. Soon Gianni will be keeping up with her brothers. Good news concerning Anne loving her surroundings of Home!
We had a fun time at the theatre. We saw Henry VIII. I had not read this play--at least not that I remember. (It's hard to remember back to which plays I read during college days.) Susan said she hasn't read it yet, either.
I have to say that it was just as well they didn't go through all of the wives of Henry VIII; just covered the first two. I figured it had to be complimentary to Elizabeth I, his daughter, and it was. Would not have been a good idea for Shakespeare to have displeased the reigning monarch who supported him.
We went to a nearby restaurant afterwards and saw at least one of the actors from the play. The GPS was very helpful. It helped us look for restaurants. It even tells us about traffic accidents/delays if we ask.
We did not actually leave the city until after dark, but we were in a very nice area. We were perfectly comfortable. And, yes, Judie, we saw lots of police officers. And some police/EMS activity of some kind.
Visited Will at his bachelor pad and picked up Hunter. Will and his roommate are well-equipped with large-screen televisions, computers, and video games. It is a true bachelor pad.
Will came here, then took Hunter over to his apartment.
He also solved the problem of what was wrong with my computer network. I had logged onto someone else's network. Mine was turned off. We turned it off one night when we had power surges and didn't turn it back on. I had wondered why I was able to log on when I thought I had unplugged the system, but just figured I had not really unplugged it and forgot about it.
I was getting 1.0 Mbps. Now I am getting 54. No wonder my computer was so slow.
Shirley, guess you've turned in----glad you had such a pleasant day. What restaurant did you go to?? Bet the boys had a fun afternoon/evening!!! And so glad your GPS served you well.
Hi, Everyone, Checking back in to let you know that when we went to put the bulldogs in for the night, Charlee was acting much more like herself, although she had developed a few new hives on the sides of her rear end. Now Katy is the one I'm concerned about! She is covered with hives, and has scratched a couple of them open on her neck on one side. She is still acting frisky as ever, and ate a snack of bones with no hesitation. SIL is coming home EARLY tomorrow morning, and will take both of them to the vet in Riverside, who specializes in bulldogs. He has been in practice for 45 years, and has people coming from AZ, NV, and San Francisco to have him take care of their bulldogs. I am sure that the moment he sets eyes on those two, he will know what the problem is. I did feed them a couple of their usual bones (like milkbones), and gave each one about a tablespoon of the Blue Mountain dog kibble, and they INHALED it like there was no tomorrow! Any other type of kibble they will totally ignore if it's given to them dry like that, no matter HOW hungry they are!
I did clean up their owies, and am pretty sure the vet will put them on some sort of short course of steroids. If SIL converts them to the new food, I am confident they will like it and do well on it. Hope we can figure out whether the food caused this, or something in the environment. The new food is not inexpensive, really, but if it's as good as the testimonials online say, it would save a boatload of vet bills! MTBR....
Shirley, Glad you enjoyed the play, and had such a good time at the restaurant afterward! Good that your computer is straightened out now, too!
Certainly hoping that the service dog is found. Lord, neither nothing nor anyone is ever lost to You. Please bring that precious dog back to his owner! Thank You that You always hear our prayers! AMEN.
...And THANK YOU, LORD, that Charlee is better! Please help Katy, too! Amen.
Wanda, my heart is smiling, too, for both GG and for Anne!
Not to be morbid, but was just thinking about how very sad and shocked we all were a year ago today when we learned about Deb. Hardly seems possible that it's been a year....... :(
Goodnight to you all. Prayers for all. Thanks for being such an important part of my life.
Judie, Glad you got to see our eagles tonight! Glad, too, that Darth is home safely.
I would also like any recipes with sweet potatoes. My blood sugar levels behave much better with them than with white potatoes.
My family always made pork and sauerkraut for New Year's, and same with Hubby's family. My family hails from Michigan, and he's from PA.
Loretta, Hope your Algebra prediction comes true! Thank you!
Jo and Margy, glad you both enjoyed your day!
Well, am going to head for TV land, and hope I get sleepy! HATE these goofy time changes! Am turning on the night light and the porch light, just in case I don't make it back here later. Have said prayers for everyone. The eye-scanner security and Dana's thumbprint-scanner security are enabled. Sleep well, everyone, and I'll talk to you tomorrow. (Probably not early in the a.m.--have to run over to check on the bulldogs and put them outside for a while to do their business.) God bless, and goodnight! Love all of you! :o]
Pulling a "Margy" here. Lynn, I know what you mean. It doesn't seem that long, yet it seems like forever! Still missing Deb terribly. :o[ Good night, Deb!
Went grocery shopping after church, today at Weis. They have turkeys on sale for 49¢ a lb. We need 12 for our church Thanksgiving dinner, but the store will only allow 1 turkey per person. Well, Father Gene went through the check out 4 times with a turkey in tow each time, then he ran into two of our church members and had them each to buy a turkey, then met them outside and paid them and put the turkeys in our car. I, too, bought a turkey:) The reason we are working so hard at getting these turkeys is because we are paying for them and funding from Countryside Costumes is a little tight, this year. Father Gene is going back tomorrow to get some more...I wouldn't be surprised if he got kicked out of the store:) I'd like to have about 4 to put in our freezer. We love turkey...Gene slices the breast and freezes it...later, I sautee a few slices and make all sorts of dishes with it. One of my favorites is Turkey Picata, mmmmm.
Time to say GOOD NIGHT my friends, PRAYERS FOR ALL OF YOU♥
Margy, it is a STUNNING day here in Berkeley County! Monday is my day off from most EVERYTHING...Sunday and Mondays are my days of rest, my "weekend". So, I think I will let Father Gene take me shopping and buy me something, anything:) Just feel like going for a ride on a beautiful day like this!
Good morning! Beautiful day here as well. Presently 57 and beautiful sunshine.
Going to be an interesting day. Have new neighbors that moved in last spring. They bought the house and then proceeded to remodel while "camping" there and then planned to sell. She, at the end of the remodeling, was diagnosed with cancer and has a short time to live. She is undergoing chemo. Well, we are having them over to eat tonight. But, let me say that they are not our type. Does that sound awful? By that, I just mean that their personalities are not appealing to either Jack or myself. However, we want to be hospitable. And, bless her heart, she is facing a rough time ahead. He is loud and a braggart. Do not like that. Going to cook the ol standby...Bacon Pasta, He does not eat fish nor chicken. She eats anything but probably not much of anything,
Wanda, had to laugh at the thought of you getting all those turkeys. I bet, if the store knew what you were buying them for that they would have let you buy all you wanted. Especially, if Father Gene had his black on. LOL Oh, no, he would then be an impostor!
Our high is to be the 60's or low 70's. I can live with that and we had rain last week, so all is well with the world. LOL Our leaves are falling but very slowly, so I do not even have to get out and blow leaves. A great time of year.
Hi Jim - enjoy the cooler temperatures...and maybe the rain will not last so long... Hi Lolly - Beautiful gift of an evening you are preparing for your neighbors, L♥lly...
Thanks Margy! Trying...but not looking forward to a hard evening. Will try to think positive!
Time to go do my do and get a start on the day. Nice to start my day with friends on the west coast as well as on the east coast. How about that?
Have a great day everyone!
And just have to say How about those FROGS! TCU moving up in the ranks of all the polls. My Frogs! We have tickets for Saturday, last home game of the year and last game in the old stadium. Nov. 5 begins a huge remodeling. Rif Ram Bah Zoo!
Good Morning - breezy out there. It's a special day in my life - It has been 52 years since hubby and I said "I do". I did forget to put it on our Nov calendars - it wasn't intentional. I think I had my thoughts on Deb. But Dana caught me... tee hee
New Thread - Not sure when it will come. Steve commented that he was headed for Bedford Springs - I don't know if he means 'golf in PA' or 'kayaking in MA' - Guess we will just need to hang tight! We've done it before and we can do it again.
I can hear it now Oh No! Here comes that guy again with another turkey I love it!
Hubby does the same thing when his Diet Coke goes on sale for 99cents with a limit per customer. Don't know how many times he goes through the line but he stocks up!
Morning all. It IS a lovely one, if you don't mind the wind----I do :( Can't do anything outside today. Wanda, shall we start calling Gene "Father Gobble" or "Capt. Tom Turkey"? LOL---I can just picture it now. I, too , bet that if he told the manager that he was buying for the soup kitchen, they would waive the one-per rule!
Lolly, hope your evening is a short one! She will probably be too weak to stay long. You have a very giving heart.
Morning Lynn! I too can't take the wind! Takes my breath away. Thanks from Ed and Me for your well wishes. Remembering last year that I must have had a mini stroke or seizure when we went out to dinner... We'll never know what it was for sure - I had the MRI and everything was still looking good in my head. I don't plan a repeat - Please dear Lord...
off today, regular day off, could get snagged for a shift if someone is not well BUT Tuesday and Wednesday are vacation days and will be free and clear for those ! have to drag the vacuum cleaner out one of these days, could be soon !
WIND just blew my now empty trash can across the driveway......now I have to walk out again and chain it to the tree. Will have to get out the ol' muffler to cover my face in this wind.
Hi All, just checking in~~~ HAPPY ANNIVERSARY, JO & ED
Nice and sunny here today, too. See Father Gene has been turkey hunting at the store! Lolly, kudos to you for helping the neighbors. I was planning to go get a haircut I really need, but have to drive pretty far & if I go in afternoon will be in rush hour & then darkness. I'm not going! Can always use hair clips to see where I'm going!! LOL
Monday, November 8 Lun Lun and her cub continue to do well. This morning Lun Lun left her cub very briefly. She walked over to the where her food and water are, but didn’t eat or drink and quickly returned to the cub. She has been drinking water that the keepers offer through the bars near her nest box and she has eaten some sugar cane offered there as well. Soon she will start leaving the cub briefly to eat and drink. Leaving the cub this morning might be a sign that she will leave it again later today. Rebecca Snyder, PhD Curator of Mammals
The house is all ready for company tonight. Now Jack and I are going to the grocery store. We had a new grocery store open the weekend we left on our trip. Have been there two times since we returned and it was so crowded! I want to shop there as it has a lot to offer and is closer, but I do not do crowds!! We will see how it is today.
Happy Anniversary Jo and Ed. 52!!! Fantastic! We are 7 years behind you. Aren't we blessed! Are you dining out tonight?
Someone mentioned seeing wildlife this weekend and thinking of Deb. And, I thought "what wild life?" Well, while outside I heard a Red Shouldered Hawk screech and then we had a Red Bellied woodpecker on one of the bird houses Jack built. Both times I thought of Deb. :)
Hi, Everyone, Happy Anniversary to Jo and Ed!!! Wow, 52 years--that's fantastic!
Missed the eagles earlier because I was at SIL's taking care of the bulldogs. Charlee is doing fairly well, but still has a few hives on the sides of her rear end, and her eyes are all goopy. As I was cleaning her eyes this morning, I remembered that I HAVE HAD THE EXACT SAME SYMPTOMS BEFORE!!! Many years ago, I had a TERRIBLE allergy attack, from an inhaled allergen (pollen),and looked exactly as Charlee does! They gave me a short course of steroids, and it cleared up. Poor Katy, who is still acting frisky, bless her heart, is covered all over with hives. I cleaned everyone's scratched-open "owies" with the liquid disinfectant the vet gave for that purpose, and put a tiny bit of antibiotic salve on the ones not already scabbed-over. Cleaned their face wrinkles, and fed them some "bonies" and a bit of the new kibble for breakfast. They absolutely LOVE that new kibble! Wish I dare feed them more of it! SIL wasn't home yet, but left her a note about what was done, and asked her to call or text me to let me know what the vet has to say. Let the dogs out to "go" but put them back inside the laundry room--only 60 degrees, and raining. Rained quite a bit last night here!
Since I got back home, have been studying Algebra problems, and decided to take a break and visit here on the blog as a reward. I finally got a really difficult problem to check out correctly! I got the correct answer! (Phew!!!)
Jo, hope you and Ed have a wonderful Anniversary dinner tonight--with NO TROUBLES ALLOWED! A scare like last year's is simply NOT allowed! Prayers to that effect, too!
Lolly, That is very kind of you to have that couple over for dinner. Hope it turns out to be a nice evening. Prayers for that lady, and for her husband!
Well, need to get back to studying now. Will check back in later! Have a great afternoon!
Andy you have had your hands full trying to care for Charlee and Katy. I hope they get to the Vet quickly and get some relief. Just hope the cause of it is is made known. You're a real trooper caring for those 2 canines.........
Happy Anniversary Jo and Ed! Jo, would love to see your wedding pics! Maybe you can scan them for us?
Andy, so sorry about the bulldogs. They are notorious for having health problems. If you go along with the idea that all dogs came from wolves, well, the English Bulldog is about as far away from the wolf as a dog could possibly get! Poor things, they can't even give birth naturally! In my years in the vet business, I saw many, and EVERY ONE OF THEM had some health issue :( And so many with allergies. It's good that you take such good care of them in their parents absence, and I hope the vet can fix the problem.
Well, Lolly is back in Texas and guess what? Texas Quake Very kind of you and Jack to have the neighbors for dinner tonight. Hope it isn't too awful!
Had a very nice little hike yesterday and came home for hot chocolate in our eagle mugs by the campfire out back. Very beautiful day in which we decided "no worries, no decisions today".
Just got back from babysitting and have to run to store....BBL
Sad that Aaron said Val, his gal, teaches at the Washington School WV. Both of the young girls in the RT 9 fatal accident were know to her. One was presently in her class and the other was in class last year. She was anxious & nervous about her day in school today. Hopefully there were support groups for the kids and even a day off .....
LOL The quake was apparently about 25 miles from us. Nope did not feel a thing. Too funny. However , Cleburne has been having a lot of quakes this past year. Folks have questioned if all the gas drilling has something to do with it. We have gas wells all around us, we are over the Burnet Shale.
Uh, Oh, possibility that Margy has joined holiday tinsel, vans, washing machines, etc floating through the air! Keep an eye to the sky, see Margy fly by! Love you Margy!
Just caught only one bird in nest, and then it was gone. Got one pic, but the Stuuuupid ad was at the bottom, so pic is looong & thin. Oh well--saw one anyway ☺
11/08/10: Our tree climber moved our camera higher up the tree, but he reports that the nest is getting very tall and so it still appears closer to our camera.
We expect our eagle pair to add new grass to the nest over the coming weeks in preparation for nesting season.
Wanda, the turkey buying story is funny! You'd think they'd just get over it and let Capt. Father Thanksgiving Gene buy them all at once. Guess it gives the store cashiers a good chuckle!
Hey Loretta...the eagle in your avatar...is that the same one in the pic I won?
Lynn, got the recipe, sounds yummy! Thanks for sending it.
Lolly, your Sweet Potato recipe sounds yummy too and when you have time, please do send it!
From Hawk Mountain: we continue to celebrate every Bald Eagle that passes Hawk Mountain: So far, counters have tallied 354 eagles this season. With 37 more days to go, what do you think will be our season total? As reminder, the previous Bald Eagle season record was 245!

Yup, 5pm is now the time to watch our nest!
Oh, love your avatar, Lowreeda!
That's the "Spooky" eagle that had blinked. He's for Halloween, but I'll leave him for awhile!
I thought I saw a nictating membrane!
Waiting for our pair :)
Duh----I got lost in the split! Thought no one had made it over.
clunk clunk....c'mon down!
Clunk on our cam!
CLUNK!
Both!
Belle took off around the right side of the tree, could see her, then Lib plopped down from up above, and Belle enetered from the left.
She digs, he digs, LOL
She's looking to leave...
Nope he went first
She has some little white feathers about 2/3 of the way back, on her right wing.
Now she's gone too
In & Out. Got some pics.
Dog is beggin to eat. "Don't you know it's 6 o'clock"
Went to B/R and missed them entirely. Drat!
Be still my heart. Thank you Paula for the alert. I was able to catch both before the double-poof.
Shirley, expensive but maybe a good idea for a fence if Kathryn and company will be with your for awhile. Would be good to let the furry critters and Hunter to use up some energy.
Shirley, you will have mail in a few minutes.
Headed for kitchen. BBL
They didn't stick around long tonight. Can't remember what the temp is suppose to be.
Love the Cockatoos cam!! thanks so much they are beautiful birds. Can't wait tell I hear back from Ed's friend that I sent it too.
Wait a minute Missy Lynn without the "e"...what was that about leaving us Momster friends of yours here in a blizzard lol
Judie sauerkraut and pork are New Years Day tradition here too.

Put pics in E_M album.
Gotta do din din! ☺
Hi, Gang,
Stopping in to say hello.
Boris should be bye-bye when they put up the new cam.

The vet who specializes in bulldogs is all the way out in Riverside. Hope I don't have any more problems with them--not sure I could get Charlee into my car!
She would have to go up a whole flight of brick stairs to get to it!
Snowman cam page has a new addition! Check it out!!
SIL has said before that I ought to become a pet sitter, but I surely don't think I would want to make a business of it. Far too much responsibility if there's a medical emergency, and too much stress to suit me! Had quite a scare with Charlee this morning!

LOL
she is getting good care, but they really need to have some paid folks coming to help with the transfers from bed to chair and those kinds of things...
hoping that will happen pretty soon.
Anne is cheerful and looks good....she may not fully recover but she is much much happier being at home, and is eating well also.

it had gotten tangled up in its leash, and owner disconnected the leash, dog, named "Ozzy" slipped away from her when the elevator door at the local Days Inn opened up....
four hours later when I left, Ozzy was still unaccounted for.
Might have been dognapped, or just wandered off.

Ozzy was entered into NCIC (National crime information center)

Ozzy had a microchip, so that is its identifier;
owner and the female police officer who handled the investigation, very upset about the whole thing
There was a group of visiting band competition members at the hotel checking out at about the same time....a couple of them were suspects, but no resolution after questioning them either :(
will go check evening visit video now
Lynn,
I know--am feeding the pups their usual "bones" (like large Milkbones, but from Costco) instead of the dog food with mainly corn. Thought I'd mix some of the Blue food in with that and see how they like it.
Deer at Pix.
Lynn, what's new at snowmancam?
Oh, Margy, I hope Ozzy is found!!! Many prayers going up about that!
Glad to hear that Anne is doing well. Hope some professional help can be found for transfer to chair from bed, etc. Can be kind of tricky. Prayers for her continued improvement!
Welcome to the World Kayden...Lynn's Carolyn's great-nephew...

Okay, Andy, good to hear.
Great video, Paula. Sure glad it wasn't any darker!
Andy good work again...you plan ahead very well. That is in your best interest and is helping you very much.
Margy so glad the ride down was enjoyable. Happy Anne is doing so well. Keeping up prayers for her.
Oh no that is TERRIBLE that the service dog got loose. Wonder if there are any camera's that can be checked out in Days Inn?????
Oh corn in dog food --- I don't even buy bird seed with corn in!!
I thank you for the dogs return in advance LORD JESUS. amen
St. Anthony???? I think....
Bear Report
Andy, you have got things in line!
I predict A for Algebra!!
Paula, wonderful video. I hadn't noticed Belle circle the nest---Cool!
Margy, so glad things are brighter for Anne.☺
Terrible news about Ozzy--hope he's found soon!
Gotta get ready for Migrate. Thx for reminder, Lynn!!
Margy, glad Anne is alert and joking...good news!
Sorry to hear about the lost service dog. Sure hope they find him quick.
OK Lynn, but I think it's just a pic. Video looks the same.
Decided to make an apple pie tonight....can't wait til it's done cooking!
Gianni is now crawling all over the place...amazing what can happen in a week!
That is what makes me happy with GG..."Happy at home and eating well"
So glad you had a nice visit. Leaves a smile on your heart!
Need to find our eagle video...
See you in the morning light
God Bless Us, Every One
xo ♥
Thanks so much for capturing the video, Paula. We ventured over to son's after eating for a visit. Boys are advising me of a new Harry Potter coming out. I always have gone with the boys (20 & 15) since the very 1st movie.
Loretta, I loved the video about the baby hummer's upbringing.
Soon Gianni will be keeping up with her brothers.
Good news concerning Anne loving her surroundings of Home!
Enjoy, Margy!
Speaking of growing up, Cohen will be 5 on Sunday!!
Doggies are dragging tonight, LOL
Gonna go finish up some laundry and watch some TV....will BBL
JO, I saw the ad for the new Harry Potter movie...
Hi all! Have had a lazy day. Did some cleaning but at a slow pace.
Paula, Gianni has grown way too fast. Wasn't it just yesterday when she was born? lol
Margy, so glad you had a good day. Know Anne really enjoyed your visit.
Watching TV and going to drag out the knitting. Had to hide it away while Laurel was here.
Around here we are all very excited about the new HP movie coming out.
I usually get tickets ahead then they stand in line while I sit in the lobby.
It's fun!
I may watch the Hallmark movie - sorta of make believe...

Hi,
We had a fun time at the theatre.
Going upstairs. I'll see you tomorrow. Rest well, everyone.
Shirley, guess you've turned in----glad you had such a pleasant day. What restaurant did you go to??
Bet the boys had a fun afternoon/evening!!! And so glad your GPS served you well.
How's the pie, Paula?? Looked lovely in the pic on FB!
Hi, Everyone,
Checking back in to let you know that when we went to put the bulldogs in for the night, Charlee was acting much more like herself, although she had developed a few new hives on the sides of her rear end.
MTBR....
Shirley,
Glad you enjoyed the play, and had such a good time at the restaurant afterward!
Everyone's day has come to an end..
Pray that the good Lord gives us another day to do his will....
Good Night Everyone
Prayers for Everyone
Hugs for Everyone ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
Wow, I want my extra hour of sleep, LOL.
Hitting the hay...
Hugs to all ♥
Nighty-night all~~~
Pleasant Feather Dreams ;>)
Judie,
Glad you got to see our eagles tonight!
Loretta,
Hope your Algebra prediction comes true!
Lynn,
I know what you mean.
Time to say GOOD NIGHT my friends, PRAYERS FOR ALL OF YOU♥
WE HAVE A PAIR OF BEAUTIES IN OUR NEST!
Lib is sitting in the cup and Belle is near the trunk...both just looking around, not doing any nestorations.
It is 32° here, going up to a sunny 59°.
Both are gone now...probably will be back with some building materials. We'll see.
Wanda
After all that turkey trotting on Sunday, you truly deserved to see the Eagles this morning ☺
Best wishes for a good Monday everyone...xoxoox
LOL, Margy..."turkey trot"...good one":)
Eagles fooled me, they haven't been back, yet. I'm going for some coffee. BBL
Good morning,
I'm at school contemplating the test I must write before the students show up.
BBL.
Have a good day!
I just got that extra hour of sleep again ☺
NOW I have coffee
Good luck on your contemplations, Shirley!
It's a stunning morning here in West Virginia, perfectly blue skies and not a cloud in sight
I now HAVE that new day to do the Lord's will as Jo's goodnight post stated...
so I am off to start doing that now.
God Bless Our Day, everyone...
xoxox
Margy, it is a STUNNING day here in Berkeley County! Monday is my day off from most EVERYTHING...Sunday and Mondays are my days of rest, my "weekend". So, I think I will let Father Gene take me shopping and buy me something, anything:) Just feel like going for a ride on a beautiful day like this!
Love your sentiment Wanda...
and how lovely you and Father Gene can spend it together ♥ ♥
will look forward to hearing about what "anything" turns out to be ☺
doing snail mails and paying bills..
fun and not-fun balance each other out ☺
keep checking for a new Monday thread....wait for it, wait for it......
xo
She eats anything but probably not much of anything,
nnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn
Good Day, Good Week.
nnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn
C(°?°)3 Jim
Wanda, had to laugh at the thought of you getting all those turkeys. I bet, if the store knew what you were buying them for that they would have let you buy all you wanted. Especially, if Father Gene had his black on. LOL Oh, no, he would then be an impostor!
Hello Jim! Glad you weather has cooled off.
So am I, Lolly. I like it warm and sunny, but not much hotter than the upper 70's.
Well, it's actually raining some now, and the high will be in the mid 60's today. Not too bad.
C(°?°)3 Jim
Our high is to be the 60's or low 70's. I can live with that and we had rain last week, so all is well with the world. LOL Our leaves are falling but very slowly, so I do not even have to get out and blow leaves. A great time of year.
Hi Jim - enjoy the cooler temperatures...and maybe the rain will not last so long...
Hi Lolly -
Beautiful gift of an evening you are preparing for your neighbors, L♥lly...
Pair of eagles doing nest work at WE this A.M.
C(°?°)3 Jim
Good Morning - breezy out there. It's a special day in my life - It has been 52 years since hubby and I said "I do". I did forget to put it on our Nov calendars - it wasn't intentional.
I think I had my thoughts on Deb. But Dana caught me... tee hee
New Thread - Not sure when it will come. Steve commented that he was headed for Bedford Springs - I don't know if he means 'golf in PA' or 'kayaking in MA' - Guess we will just need to hang tight! We've done it before and we can do it again.
Lolly sorry you're going to have an awkward evening but I know you and Jack can handle it. Get your photo albums out!
I can hear it now Oh No! Here comes that guy again with another
turkey I love it!
Hubby does the same thing when his
Diet Coke goes on sale for 99cents with a limit per customer.
HAPPY ANNIVERSARY, JO AND ED!!!!
Happy Anniversary to Jo and Ed ♥ ☺ ♥ ☺
What a glorious day for a glorious couple to celebrate a glorious 52 years together !
xoxoxo
Morning Lynn! I too can't take the wind! Takes my breath away.
Thanks from Ed and Me for your well wishes. Remembering last year that I must have had a mini stroke or seizure
when we went out to dinner... We'll never know what it was for sure - I had the MRI and everything was still looking good in my head. I don't plan a repeat - Please dear Lord...
I like the breeze for this reason, Lynn:
My wind chimes are clinking !
The ones you gave me !!
nap time, shame when paying bills and getting cards ready and checking the blog and nest makes one need a Panda Nap !
xo ttfn (( hugs ♥ ))
Hi Margy - do you have a day off or do you go in later? I was very happy to hear about you and your sibling's visit with Anne. Family Counts!
Thanks Jo...
off today, regular day off, could get snagged for a shift if someone is not well
BUT
Tuesday and Wednesday are vacation days and will be free and clear for those !
have to drag the vacuum cleaner out one of these days, could be soon !
(( hugs for you and Ed ♥ ♥ ))
Atlanta panda cam is now on Lun Lun

Owl and Loons recovering
WIND just blew my now empty trash can across the driveway......now I have to walk out again and chain it to the tree. Will have to get out the ol' muffler to cover my face in this wind.
Hi All, just checking in~~~
HAPPY ANNIVERSARY, JO & ED
Nice and sunny here today, too. See Father Gene has been turkey hunting at the store!
Lolly, kudos to you for helping the neighbors.
I was planning to go get a haircut I really need, but have to drive pretty far & if I go in afternoon will be in rush hour & then darkness. I'm not going! Can always use hair clips to see where I'm going!! LOL
At least wind is blowing in right direction to HELP blow the leaves where I want them to go!
Monday, November 8
Lun Lun and her cub continue to do well.

I suppose they will wait a while until they snatch the cub for an exam - weigh in and all......
Headed for my street clothes & folding laundry.
BBL
Jack is ready to go to the store. I am off!
Hi, Everyone,
Happy Anniversary to Jo and Ed!!!
(Phew!!!)
Headed out to Berkeley Springs...taking a kite, might be a good day to try that
also have a turtleneck on! AND, taking a neck scarf...
Clear skies tonight = Baby Moon in the South West ....saw an exquisite sliver of it last night!!
ISS comes back around in a few days in the evenings ☺
xoxo Love to all ♥ ♥
Jo, hope you and Ed have a wonderful Anniversary dinner tonight--with NO TROUBLES ALLOWED! A scare like last year's is simply NOT allowed! Prayers to that effect, too!
Hi, Margy,
Wow, have fun at Berkeley Springs! Flying kites is fun!
Lolly,
That is very kind of you to have that couple over for dinner. Hope it turns out to be a nice evening. Prayers for that lady, and for her husband!
Well, need to get back to studying now. Will check back in later! Have a great afternoon!
MARGY............please don't let the kite fly you!!!! I don't want to look up and see you flying across the treetops!!! Be careful!
Andy, hope your SIL can get some real answers from the vet and get those poor dogs relief and immunity to whatever the cause.
Andy you have had your hands full trying to care for Charlee and Katy.
I hope they get to the Vet quickly and get some relief. Just hope the cause
of it is is made known.
You're a real trooper caring for those 2 canines.........
Sounds like if you keep your
Eyes to the skies
and see if Margy flies :)
BBL
Afternoon all!
Texas Quake
Very kind of you and Jack to have the neighbors for dinner tonight. Hope it isn't too awful!
Had a very nice little hike yesterday and came home for hot chocolate in our eagle mugs by the campfire out back. Very beautiful day in which we decided "no worries, no decisions today".
Just got back from babysitting and have to run to store....BBL
I'm glad that Lolly and Jack didn't get shaken up too much. They 'rock' enough just as they are! :0
BBL Going to get ready for an early dinner - probably the OutBack....
Then I may go up to Paula's for any left over apple pie. I'll take her some ice cream...... lol
Hey, Jo----if Mr. Ed takes you out for dinner tonight---or vice versa!---PLEASE behave yourselves and don't give us any more scares!
Amen, to tha, Lynn!
EAgles in the nest!
Still there!
ROFL laughing: Everywhere that Lolly goes, a Quake is sure to follow!!!!
I just now saw your comment Sharon!
I missed them... again :(
I promise to behave ...
BBL
Yes, Jo, grief counselors at Washington High, as well as at the Intermediate school here in Berkeley Co. where the elderly man was asst. principal.
Sharon did post on FB a pic of our visitors a few minutes ago........
Both eagles in the nest!
The only good thing about the time change....I can peek in our eagles from work when I think they're gonna be in the nest....
Belle just vamoosed!
There went Lib...
Just caught only one bird in nest, and then it was gone. Got one pic, but the Stuuuupid ad was at the bottom, so pic is looong & thin. Oh well--saw one anyway ☺
Good for you Paula---you might see them before you leave work.
Well, I missed them! Dern! Sounds a bit blustery at the nest. Hear a motorcycle or something.
LOL Jo! I'm all shook up! Hmm Hmm, Oh yeah!
Used to be hurricanes, not it is earthquakes!
It is VERY windy here, Lolly.....has been all day.
BWE Cam is up and running
11/08/10:
Our tree climber moved our camera higher up the tree, but he reports that the nest is getting very tall and so it still appears closer to our camera.
We expect our eagle pair to add new grass to the nest over the coming weeks in preparation for nesting season.
Dang, missed the eagles again.
Got to go finish cooking dinner....
Lynne, the quake is in the news! Some people felt it and 911 was busy with calls.
Will type up and send email the sweet potato recipe, but I guarantee....it is NOT low fat and NOT low sugar. Will guarantee that it is delicious.
I'll get to typing the recipe later on tonight or tomorrow. Expecting Jim and JoAnn over in 45 minutes. Need to go toss a salad. :)
From Hawk Mountain: we continue to celebrate every Bald Eagle that passes Hawk Mountain: So far, counters have tallied 354 eagles this season. With 37 more days to go, what do you think will be our season total? As reminder, the previous Bald Eagle season record was 245!
thanks Lolly!
