I am sorry that I don't seem to be able to stay current. Guess I'm in the good days/less good days stage of progress. Return to surgeon on Thursday a.m. and therapist this a.m. says I am making steady progress and doing well.
Still need to finish up preparing two exams today. Cannot wait longer. Will try to come back late afternoon or early evening.
Judie - sounds like you have quite a full plate! Please take care! Happy to hear the physical therapist is pleased with your progress! Get those exams finished so you can rest! Love ya! ♥
I'm here....no time to catch up. 1/2 hr. meeting turned into 2 hrs. Grabbed carry out lunch and have wolfed it down, and now going out to try to finish leaves. Looks like I'll be working against the wind....and time crucnch due to rain tomorrow and Weds. Talk to you all MUCH later.
Good to hear from Judie but sounds like preparing that class is taking a toll on that foot. With the boot having to be on making it heavier. Prayers continue for you and Frank.
Prayers for Jo's appointment with dr. about the CT Scan.
Prayers for Kathryn's Tom that the doctor can explain the seizure. I don't know if "stress" can bring one on or not. Sorry about the wreck. So glad he wasn't terribly hurt.
Lynne be carefully wear ORANGE put something ORANGE on the doggies too. Need to see if the person you rent off of will put up no hunting or trespassing signs.
Okay, I think I have provided the wannabe adults and the adult wannabe kids all they need o finish the semester. Grading will be less difficult as I can remain in bed to do that stuff.
Lynn, I think you meant you will return MULCH later. Enjoy the outdoor weather.
Shirley, don't know what happened but do hope that Tom is okay.
Jo, don't know what the CT was for (or don't remember) so hope all is well with you.
Lynn, are your legs hurting? I have some good stuff -- kills pain instantly. lol
Hi Jim!
Tried to check the live cam. No go. Any word on when?
Ooops! Here comes Darth. Guess I need to wheel myself back to bed.
Judie so good to see you and please don't apologize. We are happy to hear from you whenever you can check in, and totally understand that you are still in the early stages of recovery and healing.
Shirley, oh my gosh...poor Tom. I'm so sorry. I sure hope he's going to be OK. Prayers for him, and you and Hunter and Kathryn as well.
Hoping and praying Jo is feeling better and CT results are good!
Lynn, don't over do the leaf blowing...good grief you sure have been a busy gal the last few days! Hope the legs were not sore this morning.
Did anyone buy or going to buy Squinkies for kids for Christmas.
You can (don't know where) get them out of like a bubble gum machine for a quarter. Kids can trade them. If you go online you can buy a whole pack at Toys R Us. Then there is the Play House and other playsets you can buy. This was an idea by a man. He wanted to know what Mom's thought so he sent 3 different packs to Mom's that blog (I guess the companies site). Good all YES. He will probably become a multi millionaire from these little things that fit on your finger. He already has ideas for newer squinkies and other sets. Like I said kids can get them out of a bubble gum machine for a quarter.
One fortunate thing--Hunter was not in the vehicle when Tom had his accident. He had to call Kathryn and tell her to pick up Hunter at the sitter's. They had been sharing that job according to which one got off work sooner. I may need to pitch in now.
I'M DONE! Can't do anything more....just need Bill to do the banks along the road----and that will have to wait until after the rain. THEN.....Frank is going to take my mower for the winter and tear it down and find out why it's leaking oil! I think it's a hose...but getting to it is a real job.
Judie, you take it slow and easy as you can, gal. Thought my legs would be sore from climbing extension ladder about 6 or 7 times yesterday cleaning a picture window. But took Robaxin last night--no cramps, and not sore!
Shirley, praying not only for Tom's healing, but for their marriage, as well. Surely hoping they can find their ways back to each other.
Jo....aren't you back from the Dr. yet??????
Lolly, as usual, I can't get that Ozark cam to "play". One thing that makes me SO mad is that the stupid ads play.....but then not so many of the cams.
Finally reading paper...article about a church in Bluefield (Sissy): Copper thieves caued extensive damage as they stole pipes asnd fittings from Sacred Heart Catholic Church; pipes had been torn from walls and ceilings tiles had been ripped away to reach more copper lines. GEESH! Hope the Lord smites them good
And in other news: remember the firehouse that burned down a few months ago in Sissonville that I mentioned? A litlle 5 yr. old donated his life savings to help rebuild: $45.85 in change!! Sweet!
Hi all! Home from a day of shopping. My main goal was to find tops for Laurel and that is easy!!! She always likes what I pick out. Then I was looking for a certain gift for Jacob and all stores are sold out. Came home and was able to find it on ebay. Yipee! Bought Zach's main Christmas gift. So, I am started! Have some questions to ask Laurel before I shop some more.
Lynn, so sorry you could not get the Ozark cam. Eagle was still there until I left. However, the cam went black while watching. They have a blog and it had happened to all.
Hey Judieeeeeeeeeeee! Glad to see you were on here and sounding like the Judie we know and love!
Did I miss it..I don't think so. Jo hasn't been in to say about the results of CT Scan and how the doctor thinks she is doing. I am beginning to worry.
Good Evening! All is well.. When I got back from late afternoon appointment I had my nap time and then dinner. I go back in 3 months... beginning of March.
The CT was of my lungs. Dr said it looks good, meaning it wasn't any worse. No new spots and that is good news! You all prayed me Well. Love ya!
Going to watch some news. You all stay warm and dry.
You are ahead of us, Lynn. No Christmas cards here. LOL
Okay, I need serious prayer right now. Faye is NOT doing well. Laurel stopped by after school and Faye was not coherent. She was not in pain, but she was happy and talking nonsense. Laurel called me crying, She got home, told Joey, and he called the doctor. They are going to go ahead and do surgery to remove her gallbladder. But, it is not looking good. I am going up there tomorrow to be there when the boys get out of school.
Thanks for the good wishes and prayers for Tom and Kathryn.
Handed out my first research paper assignment today. Two more classes to go. They have to do the paper to pass the class. It is a big deal. I have a couple of guys in my Bl. 4 class who found out the hard way that they had to do a paper.
Thank you God for the Blessing of Jo's CT Scan and that you are caring for her health.Amen
Lord I pray for Lolly, Laurel and Joey about Faye's condition of not being coherent and prayers for the surgery to remove the gallbladder. Lord please guide the doctors in how to treat Faye's health condition. Amen
They were in English 11 last year. They are in English 11 this year, Lolly. (I did not teach them last year, but it is a departmental requirement. We are all expected to enforce it.)
Even if you have a 100% average, you cannot pass without the paper. Sad thing is that one of the 2 boys is seriously failing already and the other one is borderline. This paper is approximately 3 typed pages. It is not a huge amount of writing. The honors class will have to write 3-5 pages. A bit more, but not much.
GOOD EVENING... I've spent a good deal of this day with GG. We went to her audiologist and it seems that her hearing is far worse than expected. It's been 4 years since her last hearing test and doc says her hearing is very bad...no kidding! I have had to write down on a tablet what I want to say to her, for about 6 months now. After almost 2 hours, doc re-programed her hearing aids. She can hear much better now, but says the sound of her own voice is annoying!
Judie, we love it when you can check in with us, but that doesn't mean you have to stay current on the goings on here. WE understand school work comes first. Check in when you can!
Dana, haven't heard about the squinkies. I have heard about the furry pets that race on a track...I think, LOL
JO, glad to hear the excellent news on your CT scan.
Lolly, so sorry to hear about Faye. I saw my Mom like that, it's pretty scary. Hoping everything goes well with the surgery.
Do Stink Bugs freeze to death? Or do you think they can survive freezing temperatures? I brought something out of storage bins and had to knock quite a number off the box it was in... Woof !!
I suspect stinkbugs can thaw and live. Crickets can. Morning Cloak butterfries can. I still have them every day, although not as many as in warmer weather. Makes me nervous about spring warm ups and all the dang ones hiding in the walls somewhere.....YEEEEECK. Our Opossum at Irvine thinks they are very yummy to eat.
G'Night Shirley... was comforting to read that Tom's employers will work with him on his situation.. wish the insurance company would work with him on the doctor situation though :(
Prayers continue for the family unit xox (( hugs ♥ ))
Heading for hot shower, hot chocolate and bed. Long day tomorrow...Irvine and then babysitting. Weather to be really yucky tomorrow night...wind, heavy rain, thunderstorms....hope I'm home before the worst of it!
IMPORT MORE POSSUMS!!!! I found one upside down in sunroom this morning...but legs were moving! I'm wondering what I'll find when I start pulling out Christmas stuff from the crawlspace!
Lolly, more prayers for Faye and family. Was the "new" mental condition maybe from pain med? Sure hope the choly does the trick, but not sure how that will affect the pancreatitis.
Yep, Judie's mulch joke was a good one! I was mulching the leaves in pplaces, but not in the mulched areas!
Wanda, we certainly knew how bad GG's hearing was....sure glad that some adjustment made a difference. She'll get used to hearing her own voice!! At least she wears them. My Grams was too vain to do so. It was a real problem. I just hate to think what the young people of today will be like come middle age. Grams and Mom were never exposed to loud anything, and both with profiund loss......can you imagine what the boom box kids will be like??
forgot to mention finally called Frontier...they adjusted figures and reduced this month's bill by half...their figure came out within pennies of what I had figured it needed to be ☺ they have been pleasant to deal with since the switchover for me
ROFL!!!!!! Right on...SB it was----NEED a possum if they eat SB's!!!!
Realized that my legs are sore tonight, Judie! Don't understand why everything takes 24 hrs. to hit me!! Wasn't sure I was going to make it out of the tub again!
I have a possum on my deck tonight. Hubby cut up an apple for him . Hope he doesn't call this home. I don't think the cats are fond of him. Who knows, it could be Polly Possum and soon to be little ones.
Lolly - prayers for Faye's recovery. Thanks goodness you are there for them.
Lynn, it works that way for me too...always feel the sore muscles two days after the fact. I guess it takes my brain, with all those dead cells, that long to realize I am in pain:)
Evening Everyone. Sure is getting warmer than this AM, but rain should start TU about noon. Boo Had appt. this am--the check will soon be in the mail!!!!Unfortunately, this is the end of the 3 year study, so it's the one and pbly paycheck. I like it! Then we went to new Bee Jays to get my card.Didn't really get anything---seem to have mostly MASS quantities that turn your home into a warehouse. I don't like that (someone else does!)Then had a giant Panda nap, fixed din din, watched one of the final Roloff shows. Unfortunately, since the bird feeder is back up, Mr. Cooper hawk was back yesterday. He hopped in the ivy along fence & went behind garage, sso I stalked along the other side & he went in tree right above my head. Couldn't get a pic, but all I could see was rump & tail! Fubby wanted to chase him away, but sorry, everyone has to eat~~& mostly sparrows there.
Glad to "hear" from Judie and hope recovery is quick!
Lynn, sorry to hear of your leg pain. Getting older is NOT golden.
Jo, glad your CT report was a good one. Take care of that cold/cough.
Believe it or not! We're finding dead SBs. Three in 2 days. Don't know what's doing it but we didn't spray anything because of the cats. If I find out, I'll let you know.
Prayers for Tom, Faye, and anyone else in need or want. Someday I'll bring a pen & tablet with me... I'm so forgetful.
Lynne, hope you'll be getting paid again at Irvine. Sounds like a perfect job for you---wish they could pay you more often. Was Andy's visiting bird a hawk? I just remember Wanda's pics from beach--think a caracara??? Hooray--Judie is kicking! Congrats Jo on passing your CT! Knew you would! Prayers for Faye & Tom.
Looked at your pet possum, Lynne! The girls and I hand-raised 3 little ones one year.....so much fun! I even took them to work with me everyday in order to feed on schedule! Will have to try to find a pic. AND we had to keep it all a secret from the Mr. because he had thrown them into the burn bin; Carolyn rescued them and hid them. At home, the girls hid them in their bathroom shower. They loved to nestle into the girls necks amongst their long hair! BUT....once they started eating canned cat food (vet recommendation), the odor was AWFUL!
Hadn't heard the flooding prediction, Lynne. Hope it doesn't happen. Also hoping that forecast for snow on Monday is wrong. Retiree Christmas reunion luncheon is Tues. We have folks coming from some distances!
Almost time for the news and then I am heading for bed. Really tired! See all y'all in the morning. Think I may go shopping at Petco tomorrow (or whatever our "new" store is called) and then maybe catch an afternoon movie---really want to see Unstoppable in the theatre rather than on TV. Christie and Shannon say it is fantastic! Denzel Washington stars! Prayers for all in need. G'night.
Lynn, Bee Jays (I might not be spelling right) is like Sam's or Costco. The Roloof's are the family w/dwarf parents & 1 dwarf child--think it's called Little People, Big World. On TLC. Tried to put on an interim avatar & Blogger wouldn't take it!! Still have turkey anyway--ran out of leftovers, so I found turkey breast filets at Giant, baked them & made more gravy. YUM Gotta pack lunch. Hope we have an almost spring day TU. Too bad about rain~~I wanna see a bird!!!!!
I'm bbaacck but everyone has gone to bed. I'm a nightowl and up until late/or early in the morning.
Lynne, saw your 'possum. Ewwww... When we first moved into this house there was a wooden attachment in the back of the house that wasn't really enclosed tight. The oil tank was there and an old oven/chimney and a closet I used for a pantry but the door had a large space at the bottom. One night there under the oil tank was a 'possum. Shut the connecting door so fast it shook the house.
We've since updated the attachment and it's now sealed from animals but I also now know more about opossums and am not so afraid. Unfortunately, I've also learned that the oven and chimney we removed was very old and we should have restored it instead of removing it. Hind sight is 20/20.
Sorry, my delete. Having trouble with the blog tonight.
Loretta, thanks for your info on posting pics and I do hope to eventually post some. At the moment I'm without a printer and a connection for my camera. I've ordered a cd for my printer to update it to use with Windows 7 and will have to do that first. As for the camera, I think it will be the same problem. mtbr.
Jo, Lynn or someone, please mail me a Christmas card list? If you need my address, send an email. Being without a printer I'm not able to print one from email. Sure would appreciate it. Thanx
A quick hello before heading off to another day at, as Judie says, "the big schoolhouse."
It is cold and rainy here this morning.
Good to see that Judie has been on a couple of times.
A possum in the house? Oh, no!
They eat stinkbugs? Oh, yes!
Snow on Monday? Interesting. I haven't checked the local forecast.
I do need time for my students to work on their research papers. I'm setting the due date at Jan. 4. I think I'll tell them they get extra credit if they turn them in on Dec. 22, though. Sometimes I get lots of takers for that. Five points extra.
GOOD MORNING... It is a cold, rainy morning here in Nestville (what nest?!), 45° and going up to 57° and rainy all day. NOT a good day for Soup Kitchen:(
SHIRLEY, you are right, boys belch because they can:) Just wait until he learns to belch and toot at the same time...simply because 'he can'!:)
Whoo, I'll say rain and plenty of it to come in the next 24 or so
Finland Water, I think it is frozen fog on the nest there, that's what it looked like what was happening when I was up sleepwalking
Wanda...sure hope many will realize that an umbrella and/or raincoat will bring them to the Soup Kitchen no problem, with warmth for the soul and food for the tummy
I guess I was the one that got the confusion ball rolling thinking that Hedgie had a possum IN her house... "just a stinkbug" - maybe, rather a possum !
Hmmm...looks like a Magpie we know has an extra day off!! Cool!
Sounds like a perfect soup kitchen evening, Wanda----if folks don't mind walking in the rain! Of course, I'm sure that not all of the customers/clients are homeless, and many may even have cars! You might be surprised and have a BIG turnout.
Good morning! Have been in the Ozarks this morning...but no eagles.
Ahhh, 10 year old boys! They can be obnoxious, but I tell you what is worse. 41 year old uncles, (Michael) who likes belching contests with 10 year old Joseph. Michael delights in belching with Joseph. Thinks it is funny. Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaa! I want a granddaughter. Anyone have any extras?
Good morning, Lynn. Have been reading in the paper the big news of TCU going to the Big East and what it is going to mean for all its sports. Very interesting.
Have been building my favorites list on this laptop, but think I am going to move back to my old one. Do not have either of the Finland cams on this computer. If anyone has a sec, I would appreciate a link.
Think I am going to get busy around here. Was gone all day yesterday and leaving for Denton early this afternoon. Need to get the house ready for Christmas decorations.
Lolly I like the 3 eaglets also but yes they are too expensive.
Wanda if you got the newspaper today in Journal Junction. They talked about hip replacement cost in different countries. Boy that is so so terrible of a price for you to have to pay for a knee replacement. I keep you in prayer. I know how a knee can just give you pain after the injections don't work anymore. Prayers for Wanda's knee.
You might get quite a few in for the meal today Wanda and Gene. With the weather like it is they would want something hot to eat I would think.
My doctors appointment to check out the right knee surgery is tomorrow. He should give me driving privileges. Don't think I will be driving too far. Probably Martinsburg at some point and that is it. Still pretty sore (surprisingly).
I still haven't made up my mind on a camera. Yes I like Wanda and Gene's but do I want to spend that much. A lot to think about.
A puppy will soon be running around a house of one of our Momsters. Wonder who that Momster could be???
Up for a few minutes to check for student emails. Doncha know, there is one who wants to take the exam early as he has already made arrangements to leave D.C. on Dec. 12 (4 days prior to the exam). Request denied. Date for the final exam is set by the University and has been available to my students since end of August.
Lolly, I do hope Faye will improve. Perhaps medications are causing the behavior.
Shirley, so glad Tom was not seriously injured and hope he has a quick and complete recovery. So very sorry you have these extra concerns.
Jo, very happy about the CT results. Congratulations.
Good grief, way too many holiday leftovers. Lynn and Lolly seem to have resorted to creative cooking with possum and stink bug pot pies. Lynn has gone one step further with her creative stink bugs who disguise themselves as a possum.
Glad GG had her hearing aids adjusted and, yes, this cold chilly weather should bring a crowd to the soup kitchen.
Good Tues Morning! Kristen is visiting and just maybe we'll get the tree up (artificial with multi-colored lights) Then when I get my large pine wreath from Megan this Sunday - It gets hung on my living room wall so it will smell Christmasy. I do want decorations up for when the gathering on the 11th to welcome the Thompson Family home.
Okay, a student just asked me how to spell "cattiwampus." Had to look it up myself. Spell check doesn't like it. I can't wait to see how the kid uses the word.
Hello to you Judie...yes, listen to your foot/ankle. If it says 'stop', STOP!
Jo, hello to you and Kristen...how's the new grandbaby? We would love some pictures:) What a great time you will have when Germany Family arrives. Wonder if Izzy will remember you?
Oh Jo Megans wreaths are so beautiful. Glad Kristen is there to help you get your place Christmas ready for the German gang coming in. The 11th isn't that far off.
Yes I agree Wanda we need some pictures of Kristen's baby.
Just like the arrival of a puppy dog isn't that many more days. Might not see Lynn leave the house for days lol
Hi Judie great to see you. Yes Yes listen to the foot.
Sharon that is because you have probably/maybe been on fb a lot and the blog is jealous lol
Marcus did have his check up and has grown 2 1/2" and is 12 lbs. I'll try to get photo.
Izzie won't remember except for her Mom talking about me and letting her talk to me on the phone. But it sure won't take much time before we are the bestest of buddies!
Yippee------now we KNOW that Judie is feeling like herself (almost!).....she is interpreting things in her wonderfully creative way again. Hooray!!! Judie, that student got the answer from you he deserves!!!
Laurel called, and my trip to Denton is cancelled. Joey had an important meeting this morning and then straight to the hospital. He said she has done nothing but sleep. This, too, I think is a bad sign. Anyway, he is going home to change clothes and will stay with the boys until Laurel gets home and then go back to the hosp. Will, his brother, is flying in tonight, so they will not need me the rest of this week.
Joey called his brother and his aunts last night. Hopefully, one of Faye's sisters will get here soon.
Anyway, I have been on a roll. Cleaning, straightening, decorating, etc. Will just continue doing this.
Jack made a run out to Goodwill to leave stuff and the animal shelter to give them towels. They love to get old towels for the animals.
Lolly sorry to hear about Faye. I'm sure Joey and Laurel are very worried. That is the best thing Joey can do is call everyone so if they want they can make it in. PRAYERS ARE CONTINUING FOR YOU, LAUEL, JOEY, FAYE AND WHOLE FAMILY.
Carolyn still doesn't have phone/net---but they are working on it. Big switching box along secondary road (like 4 miles from her road) had been literally shot up....some wires okay, others blotto.
Forgot to mention that I got the 2011 WV DNR calendar that Margy told us about. Yep---bald eagle on cover and on Dec. page.......but disappointedly, all the pics are paintings, not photographs. Some better than others...but none exceptional. Oh, well, it is what it is!

Hi Jim! Good to see you
Thanks for the new thread for a new week, Steve.
There's some mating season activity going on at BWE, probably at Sheptown too, I would guess.
When I opened it both eagles were at the BWE site, but I don't see them now...could be off-camera though.
I'll go get the other bloggers.

Jo, I am back at school now. I had Wednesday-Friday off.
Christmas break is 12/23-1/3.
Good afternoon Eaglets and Dadsters.
Good to hear from Judie but sounds like preparing that class is taking a toll on that foot. With the boot having to be on making it heavier. Prayers continue for you and Frank.
Prayers for Jo's appointment with dr. about the CT Scan.
Thanks for dropping in Judie.
Enjoy being outdoors, Lynn.
No Margy I won't be up to see the ISS at that hour.
Hedgie hope your appointment today brought out some good. Are you legs sore today?
Margy it is neat to find family
"treasures".
Later
Just back from Irvine....

Tom said he came to and saw people looking into the van windows at him.
BBL.
Packing up to go home.

Hey Judieeeeeeeeeeee! Glad to see you were on here and sounding like the Judie we know and love!
Jo, how are you this evening?>
Oh Hedgie-Lynn isn't that just sweet.
Did I miss it..I don't think so.
Jo hasn't been in to say about the results of CT Scan and how the doctor thinks she is doing. I am beginning to worry.
Oh, my!! Are you ready for this? TCU announced today that year after next they are joining the Big East Conference. Ready for some good ol' rivalry?
Heard it would be 12 teams, but they are still going to call it 10! Welcome, Frogs!
ANDY! please refresh my memory on the bird you found that isn't usually found where you are. (or if anyone else remembers before Andy gets here)
Good Evening!
My delete - comment published twice.
What a relief, Jo!!!! WooHoo!!!
Just opened mail.....got my first Christmas card. Yikes!!! 26 days to go....
Sorry to read your bad news, Lolly. Prayers for Faye.
And, what was that "hard way", Shirley?
Thank you God for the Blessing of Jo's CT Scan and that you are caring for her health.Amen
Lord I pray for Lolly, Laurel and Joey about Faye's condition of not being coherent and prayers for the surgery to remove the gallbladder. Lord please guide the doctors in how to treat Faye's health condition. Amen
Evening, all!
Our cam is still down, sure hope Next Monday is a good install date!
It is nothing compared to a college research paper, but it is designed to teach them how to do one.
One more week, and, if everything goes right, we will have our new cam. I just can't understand why they didn't let the old cam continue running!
Jo, so glad to finally hear from you and so glad CT scan results were good!
I'm glad they were able to adjust GG's hearing aides Wanda.
Lolly, wow, what bad news about Faye. More prayers for her and all of the family.
Shirley, hoping all is well with Tom.
Shirley, sounds like those boys may not graduate!
Lynne
Zone-Tailed Hawk
Good Evening Eagle Pals xo
Good news about you Jo,
but
Darn! Not good report regarding Faye
Prayers for both reports
thank you prayers, and please prayers
caught Judie's pun..
"Catch you Mulch Later" - directed to Lynn...humor is always a good sign of recovery !
Wanda
I hope GG gets to like the sound of her voice...tell her how much WE enjoy the sound of her voice, maybe that will help ☺
Do Stink Bugs freeze to death?
Or do you think they can survive freezing temperatures?
I brought something out of storage bins and had to knock quite a number off the box it was in...
Woof !!
thanks Margy!
I am too tired to think much tonight. Prayers and good wishes for those with problems.
Sleep well, my friends. I will see you tomorrow.
Thanks again for all of your kind words and thoughts.
thanks to you too Lynne.....
I haven't really had a big problem here, fortunately...BUT if I bring this thing in the house tonight I will!
Wow, the clouds here in the afternoon were fabulous...looked like bunches and bunches of white feathers, hope some of you saw that
G'Night Shirley...
was comforting to read that Tom's employers will work with him on his situation..
wish the insurance company would work with him on the doctor situation though :(
Prayers continue for the family unit xox (( hugs ♥ ))
Heading for hot shower, hot chocolate and bed. Long day tomorrow...Irvine and then babysitting. Weather to be really yucky tomorrow night...wind, heavy rain, thunderstorms....hope I'm home before the worst of it!
Good night and prayers for you all!
read those two things Lynn, about the church in Bluefield and the young man making his donation to the Sissonville FD...
the bad, and the good....
I'm telling you, crime is increasing in our county, always does this time of year
G'night to you too Lynne
I have a switch-up schedule working two midnights starting tomorrow night...
oh boy
disappearing for awhile here
be back before bedtime, unless it hits me before I know it !
xox
I'm going to go take my bath. BBL.
forgot to mention
finally called Frontier...they adjusted figures and reduced this month's bill by half...their figure came out within pennies of what I had figured it needed to be
☺
they have been pleasant to deal with since the switchover for me
did ya' know:
possums are one of the cleanest animals..
kind of like cats
still I wouldn't like to find one in my living space ! Holey Moley, Lynn !
I feel bad I have absolutely no wildlife report to make
but I do hear the train going through the crossing here
ok bye
Did a quick, very quick spin through tonight's comments. Cannot imagine having a possum in any room in my house -- welcome outside, of course.
Foot hurting tonight so off to seek the sandman and his bag of pain pills.
Turning my light off but will leave the night light on for others coming in. Darth also says goodnight.
Good Night Judie and Darth...sleep well and pain free♥
LOL I think Lynn found a stink bug in her sunroom not a opossum, but at first I thought she had found an opossum. Yikes!
Good night, Judie! Take those pills. No need to be in pain!
ROFL!!!!!! Right on...SB it was----NEED a possum if they eat SB's!!!!
Realized that my legs are sore tonight, Judie! Don't understand why everything takes 24 hrs. to hit me!! Wasn't sure I was going to make it out of the tub again!
Wonder why that possum was upside down in Lynn's sunroom? Must have been 'playing possum';)
LOl Reread, Lynn's comment. We won't let her live this one down!
I am hungry! We have not eaten yet. I have a new recipe in the oven for Turkey Pot Pie. Leftovers will be gone gone!
Sure hope that our normal TV shows resume next week!
Good night Judie - sleep well and comfortably.
But, it's legs were still wiggling! roflmbo
Whoops! I also thought the possum was in the house... okay makes sense that it was a SB..
Lynn, it works that way for me too...always feel the sore muscles two days after the fact. I guess it takes my brain, with all those dead cells, that long to realize I am in pain:)
Okay, Lolly, right back at you---take the recipe out of the oven and put the pot pie IN!
ROFLMBO!
Now you all are 'even steven'
I'm not saying a word!
Wanda - what was the last sightings on
the trail cam when you checked it?
LOL, Jo!!!!!!
Am I to understand that Lolly is making a Possum pie with Stinkbug crust...a recipe given to her by Lynn?
Just put our 'possum's pic on my blog. She so cute!
Nite all!
oh my, flash flood watch in effect from tomorrow night til Wed.
Evening Everyone. Sure is getting warmer than this AM, but rain should start TU about noon. Boo
Had appt. this am--the check will soon be in the mail!!!!Unfortunately, this is the end of the 3 year study, so it's the one and pbly paycheck.
Good evening to those still awake.
God bless us and thank you for our blessings.
Just when you think you've heard everything:
Child Driver
Lynn - just plain stoopid!
Loretta, hope the paycheck made it worth your while!! Too bad you couldn't get a pic of the Cooper.
Never heard of Bee Jay's. And what is Roloff??
Diann, glad you popped in! Come back and stay longer!!
I am back! Pot pie was very good. Will cook it again some time.
Read back, Lolly! :)
I did! LOL
Hadn't heard the flooding prediction, Lynne. Hope it doesn't happen. Also hoping that forecast for snow on Monday is wrong. Retiree Christmas reunion luncheon is Tues. We have folks coming from some distances!
I have found just a couple of dead stink bugs over the last week. Lynne, if I find any live ones, I'll ship them your way for the possum!
G'night.
Good Night Lynn! Sweet Doggie Dreams!
It seems like it has been a long day for me. Going to go up the hallway.
Good Night Everyone
Prayers for all those in need
Hugs for all of you ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
Lynn, Bee Jays (I might not be spelling right) is like Sam's or Costco.
I think it's just BJ's, Loretta.
Gonna hit it for tonight!
Hugs to all ♥
I'm bbaacck but everyone has gone to bed.
Time to call it a day~~~
Pleasant Feather Dreams & Prayers for good health ;>)
Sorry, my delete. Having trouble with the blog tonight.
Loretta, thanks for your info on posting pics and I do hope to eventually post some. At the moment I'm without a printer and a connection for my camera. I've ordered a cd for my printer to update it to use with Windows 7 and will have to do that first. As for the camera, I think it will be the same problem. mtbr.
Jo, Lynn or someone, please mail me a Christmas card list? If you need my address, send an email. Being without a printer I'm not able to print one from email. Sure would appreciate it. Thanx
My turn...
GOOD NIGHT MY FRIENDS
SLEEP WELL
PRAYERS FOR ALL
Well, I fell asleep. Shopping is tiring! Now having a cup of hot chocolate. Yum!
Goodnight friends. I think of you every time I look at the eagle light I bought to bring to open house. It now sits nearby.
God bless.

God Bless Us, Every One
xoxxo ♥
My turn now. Night all! Sweet dreams!
Looking forward to looking at the Lake of the Ozarks cam in the morning. The eagles were there working away this morning,
woke up for a little bit
checking out the Finland Water nest...frosty!
now back to the warm covers for me
Good morning!
See you later.
Why do 10-year-old boys like to belch? Because they can.
Good Morning Eagle Pals
Whoo, I'll say rain and plenty of it to come in the next 24 or so
Finland Water, I think it is frozen fog on the nest there, that's what it looked like what was happening when I was up sleepwalking
Wanda...sure hope many will realize that an umbrella and/or raincoat will bring them to the Soup Kitchen no problem, with warmth for the soul and food for the tummy
Best Wishes for a great day today, friends
xx oo
I guess I was the one that got the confusion ball rolling thinking that Hedgie had a possum IN her house...
"just a stinkbug" -
maybe, rather a possum !
checked out a Bird Book from the library last night
checked the index at the end,
Bald Eagle references had been underlined! Wonder who had that book before me?
Life Nature Library book, with Roger Tory Peterson, copyright 1963
I have since ordered it off ebay, great book
all this rain reminds me it's time for a shower and shampoo
ttfn xoxox
Good rainy morning!
Not so sure I really want to be out and about in rain....think I will wait to make my trip to town!
Good Morning such a rainy morning.
Makes one way to stay in doors.
Had a beautiful Christmas Country singing last night on tv. Was really good.
Prayers for those that need them. Thinking of Judie, Chrissy, Diann, Tom & Kathryn.
Check these out!
Eagle Ornaments
I love them, but $29 is a bit steep for an ornament.

It was beautiful, Dana...enjoyed it very much:)

Ferry area Boat dock
Ohhhhhhh, thank you, Wanda! Good morning and (((hugs)))!
And, thank you, Lynn!
Yep, Lolly, too expensive!
Good Morning Lynn, Lolly and Dana♥♥♥
But, aren't they pretty! I really like the babies in the nest. I do believe it is our three from my first year on the cam. :)
Okay, said I was going to leave and get busy but here I am. This time I am really going....! :) Have a great day!
Lynn, I have been thinking about you and little Miss Wrinkles! Only a few days now!
Wanda, hope the Kitchen has lots of customers today for a warm meal on a cold, rainy day!
Oh yes Andy we need to see a picture of Emma.
I see at BWE some nice green pine pieces have been brought in.
They have, which you all probably already commented. 11/28 hp picture on BWE.
Good morning, everyone.
Time at the computer is up -- foot is protesting.
Have a nice day -- BBL
Good Tues Morning! Kristen is visiting and just maybe we'll get the tree up
(artificial with multi-colored lights)
Then when I get my large pine wreath from Megan this Sunday - It gets hung on my living room wall so it will smell
Christmasy. I do want decorations up
for when the gathering on the 11th to welcome the Thompson Family home.
Well, I have been trying to get into the blog for days and not been able to. Let's see if I can now.
Whoohoo! Finally. Good morning everybody!
Good Morning Sharon, My Friend!
So good to see you
Okay, a student just asked me how to spell "cattiwampus." Had to look it up myself. Spell check doesn't like it. I can't wait to see how the kid uses the word.
When I would try to post, it would either say the blog doesn't allow anonymous comments or invalid password.
Good morning Mema Jo! ♥
Hi Judie,
Good to see you are up and about and as feisty as ever.
Hello to you Judie...yes, listen to your foot/ankle. If it says 'stop', STOP!
Jo, hello to you and Kristen...how's the new grandbaby? We would love some pictures:)
What a great time you will have when Germany Family arrives. Wonder if Izzy will remember you?
Can't say I ever made arrangements to leave town before a scheduled exam. Goodness. A cattiwampus (skewed) way of looking at things, I would say.
Need coffee--and to make copies for Block 4. BBL.
I am drying my hair right now and my hair dryer fell to the floor, because it was sitting CATTIWAMPUS on the stool:)
Oh Jo Megans wreaths are so beautiful.
Glad Kristen is there to help you get
your place Christmas ready for the
German gang coming in. The 11th isn't
that far off.
Yes I agree Wanda we need some pictures of Kristen's baby.
Just like the arrival of a puppy dog
isn't that many more days. Might not
see Lynn leave the house for days lol
Hi Judie great to see you. Yes Yes
listen to the foot.
Sharon that is because you have
probably/maybe been on fb a lot
and the blog is jealous lol
And, that is the truth. It stopped working, but I shook it and it started again...thank goodness!
Might be doing an exam on Atlanta Panda cub. Due to different cam picture being shown.
I have Sidney nest 2 up nice view very windy.
Does Kristen have any other grandchildren besides Melissa's five, Jo? I don't know if she has other children.
vvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvv
Good Morning, aLL....

Good Morning, Jim...
Dreary, rainy day here in Nestville. 48° and no sun expected all day:(
No Wanda Just Melissa's fabulous 5
Heather just married this past May - she and Jeff have not yet started a family. Kristen just has the 2
daughters.
Marcus did have his check up and has grown 2 1/2" and is 12 lbs.
I'll try to get photo.
Izzie won't remember except for her Mom talking about me and letting her
talk to me on the phone. But it sure won't take much time before we are the
bestest of buddies!
December Birthdays
8th Shirley Phillips aka Stronghunter
9th Cindi Morris
Yippee------now we KNOW that Judie is feeling like herself (almost!).....she is interpreting things in her wonderfully creative way again. Hooray!!!
Judie, that student got the answer from you he deserves!!!
Carpet cleaners come tomorrow so gotta move all the small stuff out of the living room.
Jo, do you still use the webcam to "visit" with the Germany gang? If so, Izzy will surely know you!!
Wanda, you're lucky the dryer restarted!!!!
Shirley, that is cute about cattiwampus!
Heavy fog settling in here.
I lied.....IT'S FIXED!!!!!! Just in time for her to leave for work. Ha!
Lolly, when was the surgery supposed to happen?
Forgot to mention that I got the 2011 WV DNR calendar that Margy told us about. Yep---bald eagle on cover and on Dec. page.......but disappointedly, all the pics are paintings, not photographs. Some better than others...but none exceptional. Oh, well, it is what it is!
Hahahaha. I just woke up from my Panda nap, and I see there is a
