Thanks for forwarding that to me, Mits. I've seen the story on the Washington news before, such a wonderful story of remembrance. It is a beautiful yet sad sight to see all those wreaths.
Work was slooow today, all field trips cancelled cause of the weather, only 6 customers all day! Spent the day cleaning and straightening the shop. I saw the Arlington story on NBC 4 news before, can't remember if it was local or national. Never a very long segment, news never seems to dwell on the story, not because I believe they are liberal, but cause news seems to focus on more sensational stories to get ratings.
FYI TO EVERYONE Before you use your George Foreman grill, make sure you take the recipe book out before you pre-heat it. So don't feel bad GLO, yours was unintentional, I could have died stupid.
actually Vicky the excitement was last night just before I wanted to go to bed. :-(
Geesh Mits I do have a George Foreman grill but haven't got a clue where the directions are anyway...sounds like yors aren't to usable either. is that something you just did today?
Yep, I put the thin book inside so I would know where it was, it only pre-heats for 5 minutes and when I opened it up the book was there and very hot. Good thing I was ready to cook and did not walk away and leave it...DUH!
Mits - Didn't make anything for dinner.Called my daughter-in-law and grandsons & they picked me up and we ate at Bob Evans.......... It was good too. Hubby and son were busy doing something - so we took advantage of it........
Mema Jo, I think its tail was too short to be a jackal, in looking at a pic of one, but that is just going on memory. Thought I had Fraps up but didn't so I didn't get the picture.
I did have the opportunity tonight to show off my new Glorious calendar to quite a few people. I am so thrilled my name is included in it!! What an honor! Most of the ones I showed it to have heard a whole lot about our eaglets and our journey, so now they got to actually see what they look like! YEAH! I love the page with the pics we saved from the view we had of the babies. Now, that is not to say that Todd's photos are any less than as he gave us a view of them we never would have seen otherwise. The whole thing is just perfect!
Floralgirl, can you FedEx cookies? I don't care if they are scrambled. :):):) I really wish I could be there for the open house this weekend. We have our last band competition in Ripley, WV this Saturday. Hope it goes as well as this past Saturday! The director reminded them to stay humble and not let the win last weekend go to their heads. Hopefully they will heed his advise.
Well, I'm taking it as a request, cause I never have been any good at taking orders! LOL! I'm off to bed, another long work day tomorrow. Talk to you all later.
Okay, I am going to place this tired body in the prone position on my bed and watch "A Lot Like Love" for a little while. Will check back in before I go to sleep, maybe!
Yep pretty much time for me to call it a day too. Got to bed much later than planned last night so think I will let my dogs out, get a snack and find something kind of relaxing to do for a little while. Will BLOG at you tomorrow.
DC Pandas: Looks like Mei is sleeping BUT Tai is chomping on the bamboo. At least 1 minute ago he was on Cam 1 & eating. Don't see him there now. Fast little bugger......
By the way, I asked Greg what he thought the sexes of the eyasses are...hasn't answered yet.
I couldn't tell much at the time, but the last day or so, now that they look more like falcons, it's beginning to look like the one, which keeps to itself somewhat and looks just like Frieda, is larger and probably a female. And the two, which hang together (excellent close ups yesterday), are probably male.
steve would you please delete those two comments from "Anonymous" with the truly inappropriate jokes -- that kind of thing doesn't need to be on this blog, especially since the DOI doesn't want this blog to exist in the first place!
This time of year is just gorgeous, weather-wise, in Phoenix! Lovely breezes and not so hot outside... I like to take Pepper to a local park on days like these, we walk around and watch the chickens and peafowl, the guinea hens, rabbits, ducks, etc. sometimes bringing food for them. I like to collect feathers, pinecones, twigs (for my art stuff) and whatever else I happen to come across. They grow cotton and corn in one of the fields at the park, too.
Yes, it's pretty nice now in So Cal too. It's cooled enough you have to run the heat a little at night. Been overcast the last couple of days, and so cloudy in the morning you would swear it was going to rain heavily...but it hasn't.
Good morning, Suzanne. See everyone told you how to get to NCTC through Boonsboro, that will work, or I can tell you how to come through Sharpsburg if you want. Let me know.
Good Morning Suz & Megan, Just came on afew to check mail and cams as i was in bed yesterday all day. Some how i picked up a bad sore throat and fever, so going saturday is very iffy right now. As i would not want to make anyone sick also. Mits i sent you a link to a vid of Fatty, he is a bigunnn. Feeling really yucky, throats burning, have agreat day might be back later, Nilla
Suzanne, when you are at the stoplight in Boonsboro in front of Asaro's pizza, you turn right at the light, that is Rt 34 which will take you through Sharpsburg and into Shepherdstown.

Glo Just took some time to open the email you sent about the

Thanks for sending it.
Yes, Glo thanks so much, beautiful tribute to "our" veterans.
If you get anymore of that type of info, please share it with us, GLO, most of the people on here will really enjoy it. Thanks again for sharing!
5:30 out at KENT, still light , but, alas no eagles.
1 chick on the ledge.
Thanks for forwarding that to me, Mits. I've seen the story on the Washington news before, such a wonderful story of remembrance. It is a beautiful yet sad sight to see all those wreaths.
They still have the lights on at the zoo and Mei has her arm flung over her head.
You mean you actually saw the story on the liberal media...:):):)
The chicks shut me down..down under.:) Now that's rude.:)
Got them back, one on the ledge.
How was work today, Floralgirl?
Sun setting in KENT, will be dark before long...no eagles.

I'm missing one of my favorite shows...HOUSE..will not be back on til the 31st...so I can post til Boston Legal comes on.
Mits, you and I must have the same taste in TV programs!
Howdy Mits,
House not on till the 31st. That sucks! Oh well, guess it frees up my Tuesday eve!
I am great, Mits, and you?
So our Glo Bug has some excitement today?
FYI TO EVERYONE Before you use your George Foreman grill, make sure you take the recipe book out before you pre-heat it. So don't feel bad GLO, yours was unintentional, I could have died stupid.
I love House..he tells it like it is..would like to have him as my doc.
BBIALW -gotta eat!
actually Vicky the excitement was last night just before I wanted to go to bed.
:-(
Geesh Mits I do have a George Foreman grill but haven't got a clue where the directions are anyway...sounds like yors aren't to usable either. is that something you just did today?
BTW, JO, what did you fix tonight to eat?
Yep, I put the thin book inside so I would know where it was, it only pre-heats for 5 minutes and when I opened it up the book was there and very hot. Good thing I was ready to cook and did not walk away and leave it...DUH!
I'm so glad we're all still "learning" around here!
Yes, VICKY I'd like to learn how not to be sooo stupid:):):)
Mits, I had a feeling you were talking about cooking your book! I am back. Very good evening. So, what's happening with you folks this evening?
Time to turn off the KENT CAM its dark...boy, I just love watching those eagles.
Yes, Sharon and it was delic!!!, better than the steak.
Pretty quiet tonight , SHARON!
I'm back, what did I miss?
Did you marinate it before cooking?
I think Mits should have given it (the booklet) last rights!
No, just threw it on the grill, after the cookbook.
Anyone watching ButterBall Buta??
Think a dingo was just drinking at the Afripond.
LOL!!!! Vicky.
Sort of gives a new meaning to testing out the recipes Mits! Pre Heat first!
Don't you just love the way we won't "let go" of someone's mistakes around here???
Don't go there Vicky. I'll send my pet bamboons after you.:):):)
Going to watch Boston Legal...hope that is on. BBIALW.
Oh Mits, I love your sense of humor! You're a good sport also! You've taken a lot off of us just on the Bamboons!
SHARON WILL CONFIRM THAT IT WAS NOT A DINGO! Dingos are from Australia..& on Suzanne's pics of the zoo - there is a dingo!
It was a real live jackal....
Mits - Didn't make anything for dinner.Called my daughter-in-law and grandsons & they picked me up and we ate at Bob Evans.......... It was good too. Hubby and son were busy doing something - so we took advantage of it........
A Jackal,,even better than a dingo!
Is anybody watching Lun Lun and Buta Buta? Lun keeps pacing back and forth and standing over Buta, acting like she is nervous about something.
Floral,
You bringing any cookies on Saturday? Hmmm???
Hint, Hint-hmm.. you need me to drop off a snack for you on Sat., Paula?
Mema Jo, I think its tail was too short to be a jackal, in looking at a pic of one, but that is just going on memory. Thought I had Fraps up but didn't so I didn't get the picture.
I think Lun just stepped on Buta's little tail!
Just see a Buta Ball!
wax
Congrats Paula. You beat me to the wax!
Sharon You have mail
Floral,
Was that a big enough hint :)
Oh yeah, I got it.
YUppers, 1/2 can, Thanks!
Didn't sound like a hint at all, just an order!
I did have the opportunity tonight to show off my new Glorious calendar to quite a few people. I am so thrilled my name is included in it!! What an honor! Now, that is not to say that Todd's photos are any less than as he gave us a view of them we never would have seen otherwise. The whole thing is just perfect!
Nope, was not an order, was a question!
Floralgirl, can you FedEx cookies? I don't care if they are scrambled. :):):) I really wish I could be there for the open house this weekend. We have our last band competition in Ripley, WV this Saturday. Hope it goes as well as this past Saturday! Sharon Whatever it turns out to be, it had one heck of of howl..I know we'll agree on that one!
Well, I'm taking it as a request, cause I never have been any good at taking orders! LOL! I'm off to bed, another long work day tomorrow. Talk to you all later.
I would love to give Buta a butt-pat when she stretches those legs out behind her. Seems Lun has calmed down and is eating.
NOthing happening on any of the Africa cams...too early over there, I think.
Oh yeah, Mema Jo, it had a spine tingling howl for sure! It very well could have been a jackal, so we will say it was a jackal!!
Now look, they are just plain ole chocolate chip cookies, not sure you want me shipping them all over the country.
I thought that was cute, too, Sharon, with her little legs stretched out.
Darn, missed the "jingo"!!!!!
:):):) And what makes you so sure! :):):)
Floral,
Who knows? You could be the next Uncle Ralph or Otis Spunkmeyer!
ButaBall seems to be content now when LunLun leaves. Those tiny little feet- would love to touch her!
Or Mrs Fields might be more appropriate!
Hey Mits. That is exactly what it was, a "jingo".
Okay, I am going to place this tired body in the prone position on my bed and watch "A Lot Like Love" for a little while. Will check back in before I go to sleep, maybe!
Mits
What 'Jingo' did you miss???
FLoralGirl - you also might be
"Almost Home" with your cookies.
Never mind, Mits. I get it!
Jingo Jango
Dingo Dango
Jackal Crackal smackal
It is almost time to retire for the evening..........
The jackal/dingo, Jo. The "jingo"!!
Dingy dingo
Yep pretty much time for me to call it a day too. Got to bed much later than planned last night so think I will let my dogs out, get a snack and find something kind of relaxing to do for a little while. Will BLOG at you tomorrow.

Jim
no problem jim... i have a few things to do myself before I watch SVU :-)
oh wow! I won the wax! #400!!
IMHO, the blog from this a.m. was more inappropriate and should be removed as well. God Bless the USA!!
Well, I got back ... for a while. Then I had to look for the offending comments.
They were somewhat off the track of an eagle cam blog. I'm glad you straightened them out.
Anything else raising your adrenaline level?
Jim
Guess everyone is
"blowing Zzzs"...
Enjoy your Wednesday, hope it's great for you.
Jim
