OH and ya know if you use wax paper on the bottom of an old iron it works really well too, so If your iron is just too old...well you do have some wax there to fix that right up!!!

Just caught Tai changing his position on the ledge. He was up on all fours very quickly (held my breath hoping he remember where he was) He did 2 stretches, turned and flopped right back down on the ledge.

There is an update for today on LunLun site. It's about her eating bamboo in the nest bed. Couple of weeks, maybe, that little LunLun will be scooting around in the nest bed...Wish the camera would zoom in.. Wish she would hold her head up a little like she had been doing.

NO The garage sale was not all that profitable for me. Not too much to sell except for "MY" I mean "Sharon's" iron. LOL Bad weather, and 80% of the stuff was really my neighbors. I added some and helped her out.. She has had my garage half full of her stuff over a year and a half now as she became Ill last fall and we couldn't do it then as planned/ I kind of encouraged her to help me do this one...she is Much Much betternow and I did most of the physical part of it. I Don't have my garage quite back yet as we are doing it one more day next weekend. My car is parked in my driveway ll week. We just didn't get enough people and lots had to do with weather. We agreed together to do 1 more day next weekend which ever day looks the nicest weather wise...and haul lots of it off to Goodwill after that. Sharon You will be happy to know she knows about the ironing board plan too LOL did you hear your ears ringing?

Just read the update on Lun and Buta for today. To be honest with you, and I may be a little prodigious, but, I felt the situation at The National Zoo was handled much better, and as much as I love Lun, I don't like her bringing the bamboo into the den. The zoo in Atlanta does not give the poor thing much room to go off and eat and drink if she wants to...JMHO!!!
Lun Lun flopping all over the place with her little one in her arms. Guess she is just rying to get comfortable. Those little falcons are all over the place now. Glad we can see them some.
I love it that we can see Buta Buta more often now.

Oh, don't worry,I'll be baking tomorrow! Didn't get to it today. Took daughter to a meeting about a student ambassador program she recieved an invitation to. Great program where students travel all overthe world. She has been invited to travel to Australia with a group of 40kids. The only catch, and it's a BIG catch. We would have to come up with $6,000 for her to go!! OUCH!

Oh, yea, Vicky and it is probably going to be beyond our reach. They tell you to solicit sposorships from local businesses and find ways to funraise to get the money, but that's a lot of money! And you need a grand within 60 days of being accepted into the program!
Better start now to sells those cookies! That would be an awesome experience for her. Sometimes aren't there businesses that would help with the funding... She could go see the ledge in Brisbane!!

FLORALGIRL There has got to be a way. Check with ALL your contacts like banks, restaurants and anything in the area. Especially in the Frederick area. Our son went to the Dominican Republic for 6 weeks during the summer between his junior and senior year of high school. The program was called SOMOS AMIGOES. He helped build a school house in a remote mountain village 50 miles from the Hatitian border. Made a big impression on him. Good Luck!!

floralgirl I wish you well in making a decision aobu tht best way to handle this opportunity for your daughter. There are things to be experienced and learned whether or not she gets to go right now in her life. one lesson is a little less exciting than the other at her age, but still beneficial...and yep there are lots of places to look before you say it can't really work righ tnow. you have a little time to think it through. Clear thoughts is my wish for you and your gal.

I have been trying to keep an "eagle eye" out for developments in Florida. Was really excited to read that!

Yes, DANA I have the next 5 weekends off(but who's counting?)I worked every weekend from April thru August. Starting Nov. 11- I will work every day as many hours as I can take- to begin getting Christmas products ready for Mkt. Which starts the weekend after Thanksgiving.

Hope all of you got the Hgstwn newspaper article I sent - Usually go online for the local news & there it was. I was reading the paper today & where you see all the names of the college group making the dean's list & other accomplishments, I was amazed that most of the publications were of the American youths completing or starting their Armed Forces training. I commend all these young people-but it is a sad state of affairs for our country. IMOHO.
I must find something to do outside today-too pretty to waste it! BBL

I agree with NORMABYRD many organizations are out there to help. When my son went to the DR, now this was many years ago, American Airlines picked up the tab for the flight tickets. NORMABYRD I gave my ticket to my brother-in-law, who lives in Baltimore, he is going with my hubby. Just not ready to leave beach yet. Sun has come out and it is beautiful, going to pack up and go to the beach for awhile. Can't watch game on TV, don't like the commentators.

I don't mind working on Sundays. I love my job so that helps a lot. They are also wonderful about letting me off for ballgames and band competitions so I can't complain at all.
Doreen, I am a medical transcriptionist and I work from home. It is a wonderful job that I am really grateful for!
Doreen, it is 4:18 p.m. and I have to work until 7 today. This is a new Sunday shift for me, just started it today. It really is going better than I anticipated. The dreading is always worse than the doing.

Hi all, back from the beach. Just beautiful today, warm sun, not much breeze, saw my first flock of geese heading south, wonderful to see them fly over ocean...no dolphins..may have left for the season.
NORMABYRDGreat news about the blessed event. I would LOVE to have a house filled with grandkids, but only have 1 son, but they do want more.

Oh boy, 2 dogs getting trimmed and cleaned, sounds like a job to me! My mother's dog use to go and hide big time when it saw my mom preparing the bathtub for the dog's bath! She'd get so mad at that dog when she couldn't get her out from behind the chair or couch!

I make white bean chili w/ chicken. Tried it at Ruby Tuesday's one time, and liked it so much, I found a recipe for it. Has a cream and chicken broth base.
Brisbane chicks look like they are snoozin...at least the ledge there is not flat like it was in Harrisburg..they would have to hop up on it to start worrying me.
