New Nest – November 24, 2024

724 am - NN - Scout arrives with a branch.

726 am - NN - Scout exits from the back porch (back porch is the 6 o'clock position).

727 am - NN - Scout returns with some bedding, he spreads the bedding about, digs a bit. Nest center is looking very cozy!

728 am - NN - Scout exits from the front porch.

Old Nest

727 am - ON - Bella arrives and lands on the LOP (lookout post).

728 am - ON - Bella drops down into the old nest.

728 am - ON - Scout arrives lands on the LOP. Scout drops down into the nest and together they work on the nest. Some rearranging of sticks.

729 am – ON - Bella moves to the LOP and Scout moves to the SP (short post).

732 am - ON - Scout flies over to Bella and attempts to mate, Bella is knocked off the lookout post. They both take flight and fly out of view.

New Nest

732 am - NN - Bella arrives at the new nest, she starts to eat the leftover prey from yesterday.

734 am - NN - Scout joins Bella on the nest. He watches her eat the prey and then starts to work on the rearranging the bedding. Bella defurs the prey.

737 am - NN - Mating on the back porch. Bella moves to the front porch, Scout remains perched on the rails at the back porch.

738 am - NN - They move to nest center, a bit of beaking occurs then some rearranging of the bedding.

739 am - NN - Bella grabs hold of the old prey leftover and starts to eat it. Not much meat left looks like mostly squirrel pelt now.

742 am - NN - More restorations at nest center, Bella is watchful.

744 am - NN - Scout exits the nest using the 7 o'clock exit, he clips some branches on the way out

746 am - Bella returns lands on the LOP. She is watchful for a bit then she starts to preen her coat feathers.

759 am - Bella exits from the LOP

759 am - Bella exits New Nest

805 am Scout arrives with some bedding.

806 am – Bella arrives with a branch, restorations follow.

807 am - Scout moves a branch then him and Bella exchange some beaking.

Bella moves a large bundle of bedding. Scout moves a small stick. Scout seems to be quite fussy about stick placement haha. Reminds me of Smitty. Eventually though Bella will move those same sticks.

808 am Both are watchful, Scout standing on the rails at 6 o'clock showing us his handsomeness.

809 am - Bella digs at nest center. Scout steps back into the nest and he takes over the digging.

810 am - Geese are heard.

811 am – Together they move a branch to the front porch crib rails.

812 am – Bella moves to the back porch, and we get a close-up view of her beauty.  She exits from there.

814 am – Scout moves to the front porch, he sneezes.

815 am – Scout exits from the crib rails at the front porch.
