Good to "see" you Janet. Welcome home Sandi...was checking out your pictures on FB while you were gone. Freyja certainly has grown! The dogs are going to be SO eggcited to see you again!!!
There are some pics of the nest in Pittsburgh...not so great but you can see it! Doesn't it make you wonder if Belle and Lib have a back-up nest nearby??
Well this winter can not end soon enough! One of the Dragon Boat team members has battled with cancer for years. This year has been tough for her. They moved her to palliative care today and they do not expect her to see the weekend! ENOUGH already PLEASE! Yes good to see Belle calm and focused. It would've nice to have a third egg. I think Judy reported mating activity up in the tree. So maybe the 24th you think?
HODA: so sorry about your friend. And yes, I know everyone is doing the best that they can. We all do. I was just stating my feelings. Not trying to guilt anyone or be a downer. I state my feelings and then allow them to move on. I do not try to hold on to them, although sometimes I am more successful than others. I too am human and only doing my best.
HI EVERYONE GRRRRRREAT to SEE YOU!
Our winter has been minimal, although a cooler snap is expected over the weekend. SIL has the flu. Didn’t know it Sun when we went to his bday dinner and we were directly exposed. I got to my dr office yesterday to get Tamiflu for all of us. So far, so good. Tom didn’t have his flu shot, but Livvy and I did.
Going to pick up Mia from school today as per the usual, take her to her soccer game tonight and keep her overnight and take her to school in the a.m. then go to work. Hopefully Chris will start to perk up tomorrow. As of yesterday 8 people were out of his office diagnosed with influenza A.
I canceled my clients yesterday and today until I know for sure. I felt achy and tired yesterday, but did a lot of yardwork the day prior and I think it was just due to that.
Feeling okay today.
JUDY: sorry you had to hit up the Publix. I am steering farther and farther away from our wally world. Just too many vagrants hanging out. I am hitting Aldi’s, Publix, and target more and more.
My carry permit did come in, but leaves me wanting to avoid those areas more and more.
I know we were talking naming the eggberts and I wish to chime in if I may. Once they are hatched and in this world, naming one JO would be nice….but….as we often know nature is not easy and I am concerned that if something were to happen to that chick that so many would be crushed even more. It is still very fresh and I think we are all missing JO terribly still. I know I am. JMHO I will go with whatever the group decides.
Okay, need to get my spare room ready for my granddarling to spend the night. I hope everyone is well. I will check in later. LOVE and HUGS to all!
Grrr While I was out taking Angie to work. A idiot light came on on dashboard the drawing of a engine So will have to get that checked out! I got the manual out nothing informative there just to get checked out So I guess a trip tomorrow to Ford
Good morning all. It is lovely here this morning. Grateful. The nest looks good and I am thinking maybe if we have a third egg, it will be on the 24th or there abouts. Not sure we will have three though. Doing a wonderful Buddhist Practice and there is a sense of focus and tranquility amongst all the upheavel that seems to be my life right now... Yet I reach for "all good" and it is "all good", just prefer less upheavel. I love hearing about the Grands and I miss Shirley for that. I also much appreciate being friends with Lolly as I ever so very enjoy her three...awesome kids, God Bless them all... All of the Grands are awesome.I will not call them all by name, thank you all for sharing their stories.
JANET I love Aldi's for fruits.wmt seem to go bad sooner I think from being delivered on a not refreg truck!jmho Wmt is so much cheaper on everything look at the 2.60 difference in the one item alone! I love Publix bakery bread I am hooked on seeded rye and they always have their Salads buy one get one. Have you tried their Pear Gorgonzola salad and the Strawberry one¿. Love them! So I go for specific items at each store! But mostly wmt and I get 10% off with discount card
Both cams are out for me. Eve the still. Anyone else 110 still is stuck I see they are having internet issue. Steve posted that the other day but it seemed not to have affected me or others. Maybe sporadic
Yes Camera is out heretoo. Steve is very frustrated with their internet provider. Service has not been up to standards, I read.
My KRD friend does not think she will see next week. She only wants her family around her and this I well understand. I feel very sad about the whole thing.
Odd HODA I just posted two pic one from each cam on the EM page It was doin that the other day. To where Steve apologized for it being out for them but I could get it. Intermittent
Evening all! Just getting a moment to check in. Sleepy eagle in the nest, all is quiet and well!
What is Publix? Never seen one in these parts.
I miss Hunter stories too Shirley!
Praying, Hoda, for relief of all of the upheaval soon for you.
Janet, I was thinnking the same thing about the baby potential JO. Risky for sure. Hope you are NOT GETTING SICK!!
Judy, if that engine light is not blinking, it's an emissions issue with nothing to do with the actual running of the car. Not to say that it won't be expensive to fix, but mine has been on literally for YEARS. Need a new catalytic converter but cannot afford the 800 some dollars when other more important things need to be addressed first. So I go for my emissions test, fail, and do this every month for $13. Pathetic, Huh? But I can AFFORD that!
We got some pretty bad news on Monday night. Seems we have to move from here. MTBR, just don't feel like getting in to it right this second. We have til May 1.
Anyway, I'm going to hit the hay here shortly. Good night, prayers for you all.
Oh Lynne! Thank you for your empathy for my upheaval and I have empathy for yours too. I do not feel settled in this new place either! Something does not feel right! So I continue to learn and see where it is all going... I want to settle the surgery issue first. I see the Internist Monday. Then the surgeon. Not sure when.
Good Thursday morning to the two early birds, JUDYE and SHAR and to all those eagle momsters and dadsters out there. Good to see HODA, LYNN and JANET on yesterday. My cam wouldn't stay on yesterday and I had to go give blood to the blood drive, so never got on yesterday.
JUDY E Just took my car in to have recalls taken care of and then had to get 4 new tires yesterday. About &700. for 4 tires? Wow. I have a 2010 Rav 4 that I just love and only have about 25,000 miles on it. It is my retirement car and I just love it. Hope you made out ok with your car.
HODA I hope you get good helpful news from your Internest on Monday. I am sending prayers your way.
SHAR If we get a third egg, won't it be another day or so. Just saying. Maybe JUDY can let us know how many days in between.
Sun is finally coming out here. Supposed to be in the 70"s here at the OBX of NC today. Bring it on. No more snow or bad weather for our nest, I am hoping.
Speaking of the nest, there is just one eagle sitting in the egg cup; wind starting to pick up again a little. All is peace and quiet. AND so far my cam has stayed on.
You all have a wonderful day. I am doing my washing today.
Good morning! Well, want to get on and see good news, however........
Hoda, so very sorry for your friend. Prayers for her and those who love her. Sorry, you are not feeling right about your new home. It seemed so perfect. Also, what surgery? Have I missed something?
No words, Lynne!!! Prayers for you and Steve. Hopefully his new job is going well and you can find something close that accommodates pets!
Eye appointment this afternoon. Regular check up, no new glasses, I am sure!
Going up to 87 today! Bummer! Really fear the rest of this spring and summer will be unmentionable!!
Going to another BB game Friday. Even though Joseph is not playing, it is fun to cheer the team on!
Well they blew smoke in my truck to look for diagnose but only found a loose gas cap! No charge for that sweet. Just Incase the light comes back on then they will have to drop gas pan to see why it shows that area. So now waiting for shuttle at 3. But my pump in he washer fluid bit the big one. So that is being fixed. I need my wiper wash fixed in dusty FL I teased Mike about blowing smoke. Lol
good evening to all. getting ready to start fixing dinner in a few, but popping in to say hey.
clearly, I too have missed a bunch. HODA: hoping your situation gets settled and you can find your center and bring yourself back to calm. I continue to hold you close.
LYNNE2: no, ,thankfully I seem to have avoided the flu. going to finish my Tamiflu though. I don't play. I hope you are doing okay.
JUDY: so glad the truck "fix" was so easy!
here? let's see, Niki popped up this morning with PINK EYE. seriously? lol. she has a dr. apt tomorrow anyway. she came in, opened the office and left @ 8 when the next front desk person came in. we sanitized. a lot.
beautiful day. currently 75 and going up to 80 tomorrow. THEN the bottom drops out and we plummet to 29 Sat night. 50's by day...which is NORMAL, but after this warm weather, it is indeed a shock.
I hope we don't get a 3rd egg, personally. Life doesn't bode well for that wee one that hatches so much later than the first two. I know nature is and nature does....but when you see it, sometimes it is disheartening.
I will cruise by later and see how everyone is. The dogs now feel that it is time for their dinner; then the humans will feel the same. :)
Thank you everyone. Please not to be concerned. Doing my best and am rather calm and indeed in my centre. Challenged yes. Keeping with my practices indeed I am. We have had three eggs. They have done well. They slow down the first two hatchings by cooling them down. They know what they are doing Janet. The year Lib disappeared we lost a chick, but mostly have been very blessed with our survival rates. Don't you agree Lynne? Beautiful sunny day here with blue skies. Terrific.
Yes Hoda, I agree. Our wonderful birds, both Belle and Lib and Belle and Shep have done an outstanding job raising all of the babies! Of course, I'd rather it just be two since that's an easier brood to care for but if 3 we get then I'm sure they will be fine!
Evening all! Just checking in after work before taking steve to work. Then I'm coming home and going to BED!! Hope it won't be TOO busy tomorrow so I can watch the nest and maybe chat a bit!
LYNNE2: I am fine. just percolating along. so far so good. I think by now I would have had some signs of illness. thankfully we all seem to have avoided it. I hope it continues.
I agree, HODA and LYNNE2, Belle and Shep are wonderful and yes, I know that they 'know" what they are doing. it is instinctive. I just know that the 3rd chick seems to make things more difficult....a definite challenge. and we have lost a couple that I can remember. it just is. and I remember how heartbroken everyone is....
but we all know life goes on.
calling it a night. I am indeed looking forward to the eagle season. this is a wonderful time. the circle of life. it continues....
I finally seem to have gotten back on my account. Some time ago, Hunter used my computer for some school work, and I could not get it to let me sign off his account and back onto mine.
Hunter story. He is sleeping on the sofa tonight. His bed is piled with stuff. I cannot imagine the sofa is actually more comfortable than his bed. Anyway, he is comforting Luna. She came upstairs crying. I gave her some fresh water, but then she started crying again and went downstairs. Hunter said she had a bad dream and patted her. She is snuggled next to him all wrapped in a blanket. I am hoping that she is okay. (For anyone who does not know, Luna is our basset hound.)
Hunter recently announced that he has volunteered as a firefighter.
Getting sleepy. Need to catch up. See you all later.
PUBLIX is a grossery store it was founded in Lakeland,FL and has moved to some other states
SHIRLEY KUDOS to HUNTER on the volunteer firework. And welcome back
Just got home from Angie Loaded my truck tomorrow is daddy daughter dance I am picking Angie up at work going to decorate the auditorium theme is under the sea! Will be taking pic also besides enjoying the kiddos. They are having a DJ and a photo booth. Angie ordered neat back drops for pic you know the kind that has a hole in it for your face. The place is Plato high school it's a huge compared to the schools cafeteria at her school we have used before I think about 155 will be in attendance Will be dinner also
Good Friday morning to all. Eagle is on egg cup and all seems peaceful. SHIRLEY Good to see you finally got back on. Way to go to Hunter for becoming a firefighter. My husband has been a firefighter since he could join; paid and volunteer. Does anyone know if we have a third egg yet?
Howdeeeee! Has been busy. First a do appointment to get the do done, then to church to prepare communion. Think I will go out now and work for a while.
90 yesterday, was 49 when I woke this morning, and presently 63. Crazy weather!
Glad you are back on , Shirley! Now to get our Magpie to check in! Also, need to hear from Loweeeeeeeda!
evening all! I can't tell you how happy I am to see people coming back and conversations going on!
Busy at work today so didn't get a chance to check in.
I did call our former landlord from when we lived in Manchester (remember our horrid upstairs neighbor? That place) and she just left me a message that they do have an apt available!! Will call her in a bit when Steve wakes up.
SO we have to move because the flake that owns the place says she cannot afford to live in her house here any more. Maybe she shouldn't have bought 25 more chickens or 2 baby emus? Or put up a new fence. She claims she is moving elsewhere, renting out her house, still coming back to run the garden center every day (although she has yet to start planting anything which is crazy...she should have started weeks ago) and she is selling her dump truck, Porche, another truck and the camper. I think maybe she should have just gotten a job. Whatever. The only bummer about it is that propane season is almost over and we had looked forward to saving money all summer for security depo, etc. to move in the fall. Now we don't have that kind of time. This should be interesting!
I've also been having a BIG HUGE AWFUL problem with my right hip. Extreme pain. It has been bothersome for months but in the past 2 months or so it has gotten unbearable. Of course I cannot take NSAID drugs which I'd rather take...because of the blood thinner, because of the AFib. SO I have Lortabs. I try to limit them to one a day or even one every other day. My rads and MRI show only some arthritis and some little bone spurs so the Dr is perplexed by the amount of pain I am having. So he sent me for a fluoroscopic guided steroid injection which I had a week ago Monday.
After 2 days I was literally dancing in the streets! I haven't felt that great in a really long time and I was seriously high on life over how well it worked....
and then 3 days ago the pain started again and now am as a bad as I was before the injection. I mean, it's bad can barely walk much of the time sore. Left message yesterday morning for the ortho doc. He didn't call so I called again today and they told me he'd have to call me on Monday since he was in surgery all day today. I replied that that was REALLY not acceptable. Still no call.
SO.....I don't know what will happen next. I will toodle along as best I can. I have a cane to use now. Big shopping trips to Walmart may mean a go-cart now. GGRRRRRRR!!!!
WOW Lolly....90 yesterday!!!! WOOT! I'm not sure we are going to get any snow here this year. It COULD happen in March but the chances go down each day. Nothing in the 7 day forecast but temps in the 50s and 60s!!
Still, I feel bad for the state and county plow drivers who count on snow for overtime pay, and the independent plow drivers who simply count on the snow period to get through winter.
Judy hope the daddy daughter dance is going well this evening!
Just got a DING on my phone that says there is possible severe weather on tap for tomorrow in these parts. My goodness!
nest weather not going to be too pretty this weekend.....
Saturday A slight chance of showers before 10am, then showers and possibly a thunderstorm between 10am and 4pm, then a chance of showers after 4pm. Temperature rising to near 65 by 11am, then falling to around 50 during the remainder of the day. Breezy, with a south wind 8 to 13 mph becoming west 15 to 20 mph in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 29 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.
Saturday Night A chance of showers before 7pm. Partly cloudy, with a low around 32. Breezy, with a west wind 14 to 21 mph, with gusts as high as 33 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
Sunday Sunny, with a high near 46. West wind 11 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 23 mph.
Sunday Night Partly cloudy, with a low around 31. Light and variable wind.
Thank you for the weather report Lynne. Keep us updated as to the Apt. Sorry about the hip. Healing prayers. I can hardly believe it that our Hunter is a volunteer fire fighter! Does he still go with no jacket in winter. Where did the time go? You were just walking him to the bus station!!! Lovely day here. Some blue skies and relatively good weather. Snow the weekend. Two Centimeters. House sat and tried to organize questions to ask the Internist on Monday. Will house sit again tomorrow.
I was gonna say good evening eagle budlets but it's morning well you get my drift lol
The dance was great. Nice turn out. But had too much food left over. Split it with who was left at the end and gave one aluminum pan to the DJ He is super good. We have used him at other functions. So you know what I will be eating for couple of days. There are two kinds of pasta Alfredo sauce with chicken and penne pasta and the other one was red sauce. Hated we had to throw the bread away no one wanted it. Well some did for bird feeding and I told them that it is not good to feed to wildlife. Also threw to the salad a way nobody wanted it either
I too almost 400 pictures and another mom was taking some also don't know how many she took. Pretty cool Angie ordered a couple cardboard cutouts to stand behind one's the face in it so we have pictures of all of the dads and kids in those and the other one is a sea horse pulling a seashell big cardboard cutout so we took pictures of that Angie puts the pictures in a Dropbox program and the parents can just take what they want. She just started doing that with the last event mother son night. The school also uses them or some of hem on the monitor in the office
So funny at these events taking pictures of watching the precious moments between dads and daughters got me teary-eyed thinking that will be a memory that they'll have forever so hopefully we captured a lot of good moments for them.
The party ended at 9 then with clean up and hanging out in the parking lot for a while didn't get home until almost 11:30 and here it's 12 21 and still awake
It's dry at the nest right now but I can hear the wind already. I'm guessing just 2 eggs for this year since it's now the 25th? We currently have 1 eagle in the nest.
Lynne, I am so sorry about your new housing woes. Is the awful upstairs neighbor gone from the old place? I'm also sorry to hear about the pain in your hip.
Hoda, you're in my thoughts and prayers. Good for you for writing down as many questions as you can before you get to the doctor's office.
Working at the greyhound booth at a home show both days of this weekend. It should be a fun event. Ellie has settled into the family so nicely. Never thought I would have 4 dogs but...
Oh, Lynne, so sorry about the pain and housing problems. Hope you are able to work things out quickly.
On Hunter and jackets--I have bought him two Under Armour hoodies and he usually wears one of them. That is usually enough with the warm weather we have been having--sometimes he does not even need them.
Hoping the weather does not get too cold tonight. I think we are supposed to drop into the low 30's. Goodness. We are not used to that.
Good Saturday morning to all. Beautiful day at the nest, but as SANDI said, there is wind starting to blow. :(
LYNN Sounds like you have a real flake you are renting from, and maybe you are lucky that you have to find a place to go to. Hope you are sure that you will like where you used to live and that horrible neighbor is gone from there. Thanks for the weather report for the nest. I hope that they come through it like the trooopers or the "tough old birds" they are. They'll have Jo watching over them.
SHIRLEY So sorry to hear you are having trouble with your right hip. I can sympathize. I am starting and have been put on Celebrex which seems to help me with my knees and hips so far. Tried to get off it tho, and boy, I was right back to I started. Soooo am taking Celebrex again. :( My heart goes out to you when you get no call back from your doctor. That just isn't right to leave you with your pain.
JUDY It really sounds like the father/daughter dance went well. Like you said, it is a wonderful memory for all to keep in their hearts. You sure had a late but joyous night to remember.
HODA Hoping you have an informative visit with your doctor on Monday. It is smart of you to write down your questions. I always take a pad and pen with me, as I forget what I want to ask and also what I am told. Will be thinking of you and praying for a good outcome from your appointment.
SANDI You are doing a wonderful thing for the greyhounds. I have a friend in Richmond that fosters, helps find fosters, adopts, and just about does anything she can for the greyhounds. She enjoys all aspects of the program. If I wasn't allergic, I would love to have a dog.
Well sun is shining here and looks like another warmish day here:high 70's. Rain coming in later today with highs tomorrow only in the 50's. I will take it over the snow. I just hope our nest fares well.
Have to head into town to the library and the drug store. Still all quiet at the nest as I check out. One eagle on the nest cup and can hear other birds singing in the background.
Good afternoon. I have not been able to see Live Cam since two eggs were laid. Have been able to watch some today finally. Saw where an intruder was chased off. Also my friend invited me to play golf Monday at Richland Golf Course. This course was known as Hollow Creek and is in Middletown Maryland. I remember my last trip to Middletown was a sad one. Also remember Jo mentioning to me after playing there a couple years ago that she lived near one of the golf holes. Talk later and take care all.
Hello again. I don't know how many times I've tried to post from this iPad and not been able to, but all seems well now.im afraid I need to replace this one, but I'm not going to until I have to.
So glad we have two eggs. I am able to check in on the nest, but haven't seen the eggs yet, just screen captures on Facebook. I agree about delaying naming until we have healthy chick.
Hoda, sorry to hear about your friend. I guess it is just the time of my life, but I have lost several people in the last few months. No really close friends or family, but since I've been in OK, I've missed 4 funerals.
My time here in OK is coming to an end. I have really enjoyed the SUNNY winter. The locals say it has been very mild, but there was an ice storm and snow a couple of times. I will really miss my daughter and grandchildren. Grandson will be going to college in the fall and granddaughter has just started a new job along with her high school duties. I will be storing my things and making the decision about moving here when I get back to PA. I am having a hard time downsizing my books. I donated about 300(?) when I left Tx, but still have about that many remaining. I know that most of them I'll never read again, but it is like pulling teeth to part with them.
I hope you find a suitable place to live, Lynne2, and hopefully you won't have stairs to contend with. I also hope Steve's job is working out for him.
I'd better get back to the packing for storage process, while keeping an eye on the Giraffe calf to be born cam.❤️
So good to read all the posts today. Shep did super well with the intruder. My I remember when we called him the intruder and what a fight Belle put up. Lib did not return.
HODA I get almost a daily reminder of Shep with the FB On This Day feature. I see pictures of him when we called him so many names SPOT,and Boomerang and others and his spot on his head that's how we knew he was a young one! The cool part of the pictures is the nest and the camera angles and the changes LOVIN our new PTZ one the NHZ remember that! OH and the leaves that were taking over our view! And the man in the trunk! LOL And if you recall at first we thought he was a she the day of the fight in the nest and we lost Paddy O Joy We got that wrong lol he the turned out to be a good one!
We are hopefully going to look at a place owned by our former landlord tomorrow or Monday. There are steps but they are indoors not out which is still annoying but better than outside. Steve's job is going pretty well. Good luck trying to figure out about all those books....and whether or not to move.
Had a whopper of a storm this afternoon. Poor Daisy. I fell asleep on the sofa so I didn't get the Thundershirt on in time.
Sorry to report my hip seems to be getting even worse. Almost fell today. Will be calling the Dr every hour on the hour come Monday. My friend Karen brought me a cane to use and while I feel silly, it does help. I went to Walmart this morning and it took me over an hour to do 20 minutes worth of shopping. Nest time I go with my bad hip I'll just use one of the motor carts. No point in trying to be brave at this stage of the game!
Have fun on the links Monday Jerry!
Hoda, best wishes for a good Dr visit Monday. I agree w/ others....good to write things down. Keep us posted when you can.
Candy....as you can see it's me with the hip, not Shirley. I cannot take NSAID drugs because I am on Eliquis for my AFib. Something needs to be done. Cant take narcotics forever..... Hey how is Jim?
I did do some Hippies today....that's the pun my friend Laura come up with for when I put frozen bag of peas on my hip. LOL! Now I'm off to let it sit under a hot shower for a bit.
Shirely, when Hunter informed you he was a volunteer firefighter, IS he? I thougth it was just a funny Hunter thing because I though he was too young but now I'm not so sure!
If I don't see you later, I'll see you tomorrow. Prayers for all!
Yes Judy I remember those early days! Good God! Our Royal Palace is swaying! I hope it is still vertical by the AM! Good night every one. God Bless us All.
Very windy at the nest today. Let us hope there will be no more intruders.
Temps begin to rebound tomorrow, pretty nice early and midweek coming up! Well, a couple of slight chances of showers here and there.
Today Partly sunny, with a high near 47. West wind 11 to 16 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph.
Tonight Increasing clouds, with a low around 29. West wind around 5 mph becoming light and variable in the evening.
Monday A slight chance of showers after 1pm. Cloudy, with a high near 55. Light south wind becoming southwest 5 to 9 mph in the morning. Chance of precipitation is 20% . Monday Night A chance of showers, mainly after 1am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 40. South wind around 6 mph becoming calm after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
Tuesday A chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 65. Light south wind increasing to 6 to 11 mph in the morning. Chance of precipitation is 50%.
Tuesday Night A chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 52. Chance of precipitation is 40%.
Wednesday Showers likely. Cloudy, with a high near 72. Chance of precipitation is 70%.
Seriously that intruder needs to be gone! Back again. Tension. Stress. Talons. Eggs in tact still. Eagles seem alright. Wished that juvie intruder to be gone.
Good Sunday morning all! All is quiet on our nest at this time. Wind is still there. :( I see LYNN1 is back. Glad to see you.
JERRY Good luck with your golf on Monday. It is a very nice way to enjoy the outdoors and relax with friends. My husband goes with his friends once in awhile, but I have never tried it; couldn't see the flag to know where to hit it. :)
HODA Still thinking of you and your doctors appointment tomorrow. I do home everything comes out ok. AND Yes, hopefully the intruder will move on and leave our eagle nest in peace. I wonder if the intruder is one of Belle's young eaglets?
JUDYE Keep the pictures coming for us that can't be on here all the time. I just know how to get on, but never learned any of the fancy stuff you all do. I am still in the dark ages. :)
Lynn2 Sorry about getting your hip connected to Shirley's body. :) You just get yourself to that doctors office if you need to go there and sit until they see you. And yes, by all means, use that cane, frozen peas and hot water; whatever helps until you get there. Praying for some good news for you on Monday! <3 Thanks for the weather report on our nest.
LOLLY I envy you with your beautiful yard. We are just now getting daffodils and some other things up.
Eagle up and egg turning going on. Looks like a little cleaning out of egg cup also and now back down to keeping them nice and warm. Has anyone ever been on here to see and fish being brought in by either eagle? Arranging the flugg around the cup edge.
Nest is still nice and quiet with one eagle on egg cup. Heading out to get my church clothes off and get comfy. A lot cooler here on the OBX today. You all have a great day!
Hello all! Just checking in. Have been very busy but am keeping up with nest activities. Glad to see others checking in, too. Back to chores and lurk mode. Prayers for all those in need.
Thank you all for your support. Good day here. Awesome Library Board and Staff Christmas Luncheon today. No we are not too early. December is crazy busy for everyone. So we postponed it till the eve of the Tibetan New Year... So happy New Year one and all as per the Tibetan Tradition...
Patti, SO good to see you! Please keep in touch....
I have decided to get the steak knife and amputate my hip.
Internet was out for a while but all quiet, our bird is all tucked in for the hopefully drama free night.
HODA will be thinking of you tomorrow!
We are going to see the apartments tomorrow!!
Candy, I was wondering the very same thing about the 'turder. It's always a possibility! Life it tough out in the world....all the kids want to come back to momma and daddy at some point!
Actually, I 'm going to do some HIPPeas and then turn in. I will see you all on the morrow. Prayers for all!
Good Monday morning to all you late sleepers. :) One eagle in nest in the egg cup and all is peaceful. No wind yet :) and birds are singing in the background.
PATTI Welcome back to the blogg. I do mostly lurking too, but do like to keep up with our wonderful people on here.
HODA Sending good vibes your way for your visit to the doctor today.
LYNN2 I am with Hoda. So glad you chose the Peas for your bad hip and didn't use the knife. Now get on that phone or take yourself in there and don't give them a chance to not call you back. Sending good vibes your way too. Even tho you have to look at the apartment, please get something for your leg!
Two eagles now in nest. Maybe it is time to change the guard and egg roll. Yep. Nest sitter on the post and poof and other eagle taking over the nest cup.
We have a sunny day, but much colder day today here. We are having some trees cut down in our yard before they fall down in the next bad storm. They were here bright and early this am. That was good, as I have to grocery shop today and visit the drug store. So as everything is so peaceful and our 2 eggs are being taken care of, I guess I'll be on my way. You all have a wonderful day!
Good morning eagle budlets it's a beautiful day hot sticky sweaty just got back from a walk I think I'm going to start doing my walk at night. Not to many shade trees along the sidewalks where I live. At the park there are but trying to do walking in the hood. Save gas for one One on eggie naturally!
Hey they have a camera on Peace the eaglet that was rescued in FL
The flight pen has two cams one on each end. Cam 2 at the end about three feet from the floor on the right is the nest hard to see at times. But some times can see good all depends on the shadows
Lynne, Lynne, Lynne! So sorry about the hip! Girl you are too young to be having these problems! Get thee to a doctor fast!
Think I am headed out to work in the yard. We had so many acorns this past Fall and now they are starting to sprout. What a mess! So, going to rake acorns and pull trees! Lol
Well, it's still not working right. Somehow, I've managed to set up a second blogger profile and can't find the first one. This type of thing drives me crazy! I like to think I'm pretty computer literate but Google has me baffled. But enough whining!
We're in for a rain/snow storm tonight and tomorrow, the wind is howling! I'm off to watch the 48 Hours from Saturday night. Pauley Perrette is discussing stalking and what she's doing to help change the laws. I just love her! But hate what she and who knows how many others have been through.
Lynne2, I'm also glad you chose HipPeas over amputation.
Lolly, the acorns that sprout here have a tap root like you wouldn't believe! I sure hope you were more successful than I am with the ones here.
AZ PATTI here is the link to your old blog maybe you can figure it out from there I went back a couple of months and found your post clicked on it maybe you can figure out how to get back on the blog from there. your old profile with the bird
After 5 phone calls, 5 messages, on on hold time of TEN MINUTES, I finally upset the employees of the Dr's office enough to be assured the Dr would call me today. The one and only 2 minute time frame during which I stepped outside with Puddy and forgot to put my phone in my pocket, well, I guess I don't have to say that THAT is when he called.
It was a pretty generic message in he only said that he was going to have a consult with his partner who specialized in hip arthritis to see what can be done and that would take place tomorrow. He also told me in the mean time to go ahead and take 800mg of ibuprofen 3 times a day. UH.....I AM ON A BLOOD THINNER???? OMG!!!
I cheated today anyhow and took 2 aleve this AM and 2 this evening. The pain is still get ting worse and it's a solid 12 on a 1 to 10 scale. I almost went down twice today. For many hours I could barely move at all. I cannot remember ever having anything hurt so badly. You know Lolly, I have very bad knees, a bad back...now this. You are absolutely correct that I am too young for such major issues. Starting to make me wonder if something, some underlying issue is exacerbating these things....Now, don't YOU hurt your back yanking up oak seedlings....Patti is correct, those roots can be deep and strong.
So we also went to see the apartments that our former landlord has for rent but before we got in the door she was updating us on laundry room, no smoking and no pets. Come again? NO PETS. In my excitement, and because we rented from them before at another location with the dogs, and because she had met our dogs many times, I never brought it up, and she never thought to mention it to me on the phone either, having forgotten about them. O M G.
Overall, this day has sucked. I have been in tears a lot and was feeling quite sorry for myself for a while. Time to pull up the Big Girl Panties and deal with it all. LOL!
Hope Hoda checks in soon.
Patti, stay safe in the storm!
Judy, sounds like evening walks are a better idea for sure. Hard to imagine with such beautiful spring like weather here for so long that it will not be long at all before we have high temps and humidity once again,. YUK!
Well, off to FB to check in and then to bed.Steve graciously offered to do the GROSSery shopping when he is finished work in the AM. I never ask him to do it because he has a tough shift overnight and usually I will go ahead and do it. Hmmmmm....I can see there might be some major Mrs Soper Spoiling going on. Do I REALLY want to be pain free sooner than later?? LOL!!!
Prayers for all, will try to check in from work tomorrow!
Lynne! Hips seem to be an issue! Ha! I now have osteoporosis! Come again? Yep! He put me on medication. Worried my hip would break! Again say what? And he confirmed my heart palpitations. I have high blood pressure. I had to buy a blood pressure machine because I could not start two new meds at the same time. How will I know which is doing what? So I take my pressure twice a day and if I do not bring it down to 140/80 he will be very concerned! Oh and I have to go to the hospital and allow them to hook me up with an IV with radiation! They need to see the offending section of my parathyroid. My mind was saying not likely will I allow that to happen when he said and make sure you avoid going anywhere near the US border as they will likely get very upset with my radiation. I will trigger their machines! "Fukushima anyone" he said! We all burst out laughing!!! Sorry about the dogs and the flat and the missed conversation with the doctor and the pain... I am blessed with all of your friendship. I was late getting home, because after I saw him he sent me to the hospital for tests and then I had to go shop for a blood pressure monitor. I will say good night. God Bless us all.
Thank you Judy. I told him what I eat. He had no problem with that. Both doctors want me to eat more. They like what I eat, but want me to have more of it. Thank you for your support
Both in the nest. It looks like Belle has a stick right across Shep's back. He keeps trying to move it and then looks at her. She said "yeah, whatever, be glad I brought it to the nest." :)
Beautiful day little on warm side but can't do anything about that. Winter isn't a word we know in FL this year just a handful of day this year
LYNNE2 I also agree with our active skiing, dragon boat yoga queen HODA should not be sick she eats well and takes care of her temple.. Maybe it's inherited
All seem quite at the nest. Odd last night she was restless or something was upsetting her. Nothing on FB in regards to it!

Camera has changed did you notice. No more ant and leaf and black frame on it also can't do RR and buffer bar gone along with the Fullscreen and live button. Work in progress I assume.
Lynne and everyone, it is not about fair! It has nothing to do with fair or unfair. It is what it is. When something I like is going on I never ask, " why me". It therefore follows when something I do not like is going on, the only question is, " why not me".
I listen and I learn and I cope. I continue to look well after myself. I am in the process of understanding what it all means. I am glad we laughed at the Specialist yesterday about the problems I would have if I tried to cross the border after being radiated! That was hilarious! Modern medicine has its place and I am grateful I live in a place where I can access it. I might just have to ask you to befriend the new " glow in the dark me"! I checked with my family in Egypt. Yes hereditary. Most showed symptoms in their forties. I am gaining on 69 so I have nothing to complain about. I can change the scenario on osteoporosis. I have choices about all the rest. So taking it all in. No drama. No woe is me. It is as it is and for now it is like that! I love Us. ❤❤❤
Watching the news. Was thinking of that evening walking. No sun out now but it's still 82° wait till 7 after news maybe it will go further down. It's dusky not completely dark
Evenin' all! While I think someone on here has said this before, I want to be like Hoda when I grow up! :-)
Lynne2, hope your day has been bearable. Do you get any relief by changing positions? I sure do hope it's not a 12 every single minute.
JudyE, I tried going back to my first profile, too, and couldn't figure it out. I might try again this weekend. I'm usually pretty brain dead after work, and thinking and working on the computer is the last thing I want to do, after doing that all day long. I am certainly open to any other suggestions.
Wishing Jerry a very Happy Birthday!!
Hi Suzan, Janet and Shar!
Hope Lolly didn't get pulled down while trying to pull up those oak trees!
Have a wonderful evening, all! SED and prayers for those in need.
Pouring here, and at Belle's house where she is making an outstanding Mumbrella!
I understand Hoda. I will look at it as ... wow, if Hoda wasn't already in such great shape then she might really be in trouble!"!
Had in depth conversation with Dr today, finally. The steroid effect has come and gone and the relief I had, although brief, is all I am going to get.
MRI/Rads show a small cyst on upper ball of hip, no big deal, and then the "on x-ray mild" arthritis and little bone spurs. He explained, as I pretty much knew, that mild on rads can still mean very bad pain, and joints that appear to be a mess in some people are not troublesome at all.
he and his partner also looked at rads that showed my hips from 18 months ago and they were perfectly fine. He wasn't kidding about how fast they can deteriorate.
So given the pain level, the fast deterioration, ertc. he said that no doubt that I will need a hip replacement at some point. We will keep monitoring the pain levels, and rads as needed based on the pain and plan from that. He is putting me on a milder pain med, and I told him that even though I'm not supposed to take NSAID drugs because of the blood thinner, that I was going to take it anyway. I nicely explained that at this level of pain I simply cannot function. He went over in detail what to watch for should there be internal bleeding.
He also said that I could literally wake up tomorrow morning pain free and have that last for a day a week or a month because arthritis is funny that way. But I am not to confuse that with being cured, or thinking it's the steroid helping. That ship has sailed.
Should the pain continue to get worse as it has been, the soonest they can replace is 6 months from now because otherwise, the risk of infection due to immune response being inhibited by the steroid. If the pain can be controlled, there is no way they will consider replacement at my age unless all else fails.
I felt much better after talking to him. I now know what is going on and why, we have a new medication plan..... Oh, he said I can walk run stretch to my heart's content...figuratively speaking of course because obviously my actives, especially now, are very limited! LOL! But I am allowed to do what I can til it hurts and I cannot make thees things worse by walking, stretching, etc.
It was SO beautiful outside this AM! When Steve got home, we through some kibbles out in the yard so the dogs could forage. We sat at the table in the sun and listened to the "mornigng chorus" of birds for a while before I had to get ready for work.
Gotta get to bed before I do a face plant in to the keyboard1
More sever weather possible in the parts tomorrow,.....
JANET Stay safe with the weather coming your way So sad with the damage left behind so hope it doesn't get as bad. Anyone in the way of the storm please report in later
Just got done doing my bike Heading out for a bit Gotta stop in at WMT to see if my coffee has come in yet! Ran in to some of my ole pals and two noticed my weight loss yeah
Heard a fox in our backyard during the night. Skippi heard it, too! Strange call to hear twice in the night!
As the acorn pulling...sometimes I get it all and sometimes not. Some tress are already 5-6 inches tall, others are just sprouting. It is going to be a battle.
Lynne, Lynne, Lynne! Keeping you in prayer for health as well as a place to live.
Worked in my herb garden yesterday. Winter was hard on my Thyme and Oregano, so planted those new. Also planted new rosemary. Had to pull up teeny oaks there, too.
Tori, HAPPY BIRTHDAY! An extremely well deserved day indeed!
AZ Patti, Hi! Good to see you back for the events! I'm a major lurker but always watch the nest!
Hoda, thank you for the words. Is your family well and secure? How are the twins? Never seen any more pics of them! Know you will take care of yourself. Will be interesting to see what foods you add to your diet!
Lynne2, you are one of the strongest women I know.
Wow when I walked in the nest had a storm swaying in the wind looked foggy the weatherman had said it was weaking so hope it continues to Looks wet but not bad now
Careful with raccoons Judy. They are hard to evict. They are rabbid also.
I have decided not to start on the osteoporosis medication till I speak with my doctor. I am not convinced I am 5.4 as he said. I think I am 5.3 at most! Food changes will only likely be combinations of food and when I eat them... Pretty much what I eat is approved by the heart and stroke foundation. Thank you all for the questions because they help me find the answer...I research or I phone family... I love us.
Evenin' all! JudyE, I agree with Hoda. Be extra cautious of the raccoon, they can be very mean and nasty creatures.
Lolly, I wish you luck with the oak trees and getting a critter cam so we can all enjoy the fox. :-)
Lynne2 and Hoda, patience is indeed called for. Lynne, I find my arthritis "flares up" more in the winter. Maybe when warmer weather decides to roll in, you'll find some relief.
Off to evening chores. SED and prayers for all in need.
awoke this morning to my phone ringing. I have a local news/weather alert on my phone. severe tstorm @ 6:30 this a.m. the worst went south of us towards Franklin, Watertown. There were 2 confirmed tornado touch downs. Lots of damage, but no reported deaths/injuries as of this time. Ugh. I do not like this type of weather!
The rest of the day has been good. I fell up the stairs on Sunday, landing on my left forearm....thankfully mostly on the fleshy part. The only thought I had in my head, other than darn! seriously hurt! was well, if I broke it, at least AFLAC will cover me because this happened at home.
Thankfully that was not the case. because of the way I landed, it is just bruised. But it messed with my left shoulder again and the chiropractor had her work cut out for her!!!
All is well though. I am a tough middle aged bird!
So many have it so much worse than I!
HODA: you will get thru this. I know you will. Continue strong, my friend. LYNNE2: You have a good attitude with this. I know several people (one person doing it again Monday for the 2nd hip) that have had hip replacements and most are glad they had the procedure. I know, for me, surgery is a last option at any time, but if a person has enough pain, it is worth the risks.
Last night I went with a friend of mine to Royal Range and we went to the Nashville Pistols, which is a women's shooting club. About 20 women were there. The point is to educate women and give us a safe, non judgmental environment in which to practice shooting a fire arm.
I went to try a different type of weapon last night. And to practice. Did I tell you I can barely hit the broad side of a barn? lol. With some coaching last night, I did much better!
My friend and I had a good time. It is an empowering experience to learn this skill.
I hope everyone is doing well. Have a restful, lovely evening!
When I first got my gun in Ohio my first time using it I shocks the heck out of Tom. I hit every target point on! Now that was many moons ago! ' It was a Ruger 22 hollow point was used in it. That gun is no longer! Sold it!
The Eagles 🦅🦅 have been amazing in this storm. What troopers. I hope Ma Belle does well tonight. She has been on for a very long time today. Her Mumbrella is better than Shep's me thinks. She is bigger for one...
oh me oh my . 1000 lashes with the wet noodle. I didn't remember the no fall rule. I was too busy going ouch ouch ouch.
JUDYE: Tom is wanting me to have a semi automatic instead of the revolver that I currently have. 22s are not encouraged any more because if a person is on drugs etc it will not "neutralize" the situation, more like a bee sting. so I am looking at a ..380. I shot a 9 mil last night. snappy little thing. I was concerned about loading the ammo. I did okay.
I promise to observe the no fall rule more carefully.
Was on the news with all the media on the eagle cam in Ft Meyer and the never gonna give birth to that giraffe live cam. They had it on. It's been on since Aug. Pretty cool!
Just got back was shopping for our troops Jordyns school is collecting donation to send so I went out and spent about 50 in snacks and odd foods for them. Had lunch with Angie while I was out and went to the park. Yep lots of wingersizing going on at the cell tower. Adult was in so got pic of all three in the nest. Shame both adults weren't there. Would have been a sweet pic family of four
Hello Eagle 🦅 Momlets. I measured myself. I am 162.3/4 inches. That makes me 5.2 The doctor calculated osteoporosis because he guessed I was 5.4! I am not accepting that diagnosis! I see my own doctor on the 7th. She can measure me!!! I am monitoring my BP. Good texts with Lolly. Very informative. Snow here again today. Watching the Eagles and am glad there is no drama.
Nancy the Dragon Boater who is in the process of dying is still with us. Her young son, I think 18 or 19 at most, is organizing her funeral. He wrote us today asking that we prepare finger foods for the reception. I found it upsetting! What a thing for a young man to have to do!!! I am sad. Yes of course the Dragons will take charge of the food. Sad all the same that he asked. He gets seizures and she is do worried for him. God help him!
Evenin' all! Hoda, I'm so sorry about your friend. Do you think maybe her son is at a loss for what to do or how to help his mom? I'm sure he's very scared about how life will be after his mom passes. Prayers for sure.
Janet, So glad your arm isn't broken! I had a Walther PPK or PPK/S many, many, many moons ago which is probably why I can't remember which. I tried several automatics but that one surely fit my smallish hand the best. I also have a friend who is a certified firearms instructor here in AZ. She has a facebook page, https://www.facebook.com/AZ-Angel-Wings-LLC-1691464527733899/ (sorry I'm having a senior moment and can't remember how to do a link). I'm sure she would be a good resource for questions and would be more than happy to help.
Did the cam go off today? It started for me at work this morning but died and I couldn't get it back. The Berry nest was also black but SWFEC was running just fine. I did have the still cam up but every other time it refreshed, it was a black screen. I thought maybe it had something to do with bad weather. Maybe that was it since there are some notes about a mumbrella.
Off to chores. Everyone have a wonderful evening. SED and prayers for all in need.
good evening all. busy day; but about over. just finished 30 min on the elliptical for a total of 208 cal. burned. woot woot
PATTI; thank you for the info. every little bit is helpful for me. it is indeed a process.
busy day at work. got on the books and had a massage tonight. he did some incredible trigger point work, which I needed. there was a a lot of breathing to get thru it.
and, lol, best of all he gave me some of my own medicine. tough talk about self care.
it was chilly this morning, but supposed to be cooler tomorrow, then another warm up.
looking forward to sleeping in a bit this weekend!
HODA: for years I was told I was 5 ft 8 " this was my accepted truth. last year a nurse measured me. 5 ft 6 " ????????????????????????????????????????????????????? major confusion in my brain. I had a separate nurse measure me at another time. yup. 5ft 6.
errors can indeed be made. I refuse to think @ 53 years old I have shrunk 2". get checked again.
i'm so glad lolly has been helping you.
JUDYE: good for you. if the deadline weren't so soon Ithink I could have sent some magazines. More notice next time if you can please and thank you.
Evenin' all! Man, I am whuuupped. Very long week at work. Nothing bad, just very busy. I'm glad for the weekend, too.
We're going tomorrow to buy tickets to a concert at our local casino. It's a Bon Jovi tribute band. Gotta say I'm pretty excited! Haven't been to a concert in years. Many, many years. And it's on St. Patrick's Day, too. Might have to get just a little bit crazy. :-)
Glad the cam is back up. Didn't even have time today at work to check in.

Hellooooo all! Beautiful busy day yesterday! Grandparents day at Zach's school, great but emotionally draining. The went went and walked the Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Gardens. After that met Michael and Zach for dinner, then to Michael's apt for a visit and Jack installed a towel holder, actually a wine/towel rack in the bathroom. No wine will not be stored there....only towels.. LOL

Good evening everyone. A great expression of gratitude to a Lolly, Wanda, Lynne and Shar. It has been an interesting few days. " we don't want you to stroke out" ... I am now taking my blood pressure medication. The Hospital phoned and said that my parathyroid hormone has increased even more. Dr wanted my test done now. I go tomorrow for an IV Radiation test. Grateful a nurse friend is travelling to the hospital two towns away. My osteoporosis diagnosis stands. I am not 5.4 as the Specialist guessed. I am 5.2. We measured. The diagnosis is based on the bone scan. So I will start my medication after I become the group's "Glow in the Dark Girl"!!! I might just wait till Monday. I did promise to start. Lolly was very kind and supportive when I was having a fit. Honestly I am very blessed. Skied today. Hoping to ski Thursday. Tomorrow I have a date with some Glow in the Dark Medicine. Friday I might just dye my hair some florescent colour!!! Ha ha ha
My hip is TRASHED. Cannot walk w/o cane, pain is HORRIBLE. Just cannot seem to get Dr to call me back. Good morning! Oh, Lynne, so very sorry about your hip. Specific prayers for that hip!
Also, prayers for our very own glow in the dark Hoda! So very glad she is on the BP meds!!!
I myself will go in the dark come Friday. Having a foot problem, nothing severe but bothersome. X ray did not show problem so getting an injection of glow in the dark material and then a bone scan. More fun!
Beautiful day here, presently 64 and sunshine but gloomy days ahead for the next 5 days or so.
Larkspur and columbine now blooming! Still holding off moving plants out of the greenhouse. We could have another frost. So tempting though and nurseries have such pretty plants!
No call from the Dr again today. At 4pm I called and when I was on hold for 15 minutes, I picked up Steve's cell and called from there, too. when they picked up and asked me if I could hold, I pointed out that I was already on hold on another line there for the past 15 minutes and that NO, I was NOT interested in holding any more.
He had nothing to say except that if I felt that the pain was SO bad that he'd refer me to pain management clinic. But he made a point of saying once again that he just didn't understand where all the pain was coming from because it surely doesn't look THAT bad on the MRI or rads. And then...oh yes I did...I asked him if he thought I was lying to him about it. Tomorrow I will be looking for a new hip Dr. If it's too much trouble for this guy to call me back then I can certainly relieve him of the burden. I'll send the office manager a lovely letter, too.
Hope your bone scan can detect the problem in your foot Lolly.
I feel for you wanting to get those flowers out of the greenhouse! We, too, are supposed to have some "weather" this weekend that includes a wintery mix, wind and cold. UGH! We sure have been spoiled! Glad I've had some time to sit out in the sun for a bit each day this week! Tomorrow is going to be warm as well but I am working bell to bell tomorrow so I won't have any time for such luxuries!
Last night I sat out for a while listening to Wood Frogs singing their little hearts out. This morning I heard a Barred Owl...have heard him a few times, he must live around here!
Heading to bed soon, long day, and no doubt a painful one tomorrow. Need to cover my very sick coworkers morning shift in addition to my PM shift.
Good night, prayers for all....and thanks for yours!
oh my how could I forget...my in-laws made a last minute trip to Balto yesterday and came to visit this AM before Steve had to go to bed! So good to see my MIL....it's been since just before Christmas! She wanted to Steve for his birthday which is on Saturday.
good Thursday morning. holding each of you close in my heart and thoughts for your highest and greatest good. comfort, healing, light, and love coming your way.
fairly busy week here. work has been good. our friends Russell and sarah came over last night. we had dinner and chatted. it was nice....but on a school night! lol. it is one of the few days Russell has off and so we made it happen!
glad to be off this weekend....74 and sunny today, thunderstorms in the a.m. and then snow showers possible on Saturday. good day to stay in, read, paint, and just be.
Good morning! Headed to a luncheon today. Cloudy and not as pretty today as yesterday.
Yes, Lynne, time to find a new doctor. Get the results of your tests from the inconsiderate, unprofessional doctor!
Did take two miniature roses out of the greenhouse yesterday. Figure if a freeze is coming they can easily be taken care of,but I seriously doubt we will have anymore bad weather.
Good morning all Yesterday was a big day. It is now behind me and now a story. Difficult day. I am grateful for all the support. I am grateful for western medicine. And I am grateful they can actually test the physiology and not just the structures inside of me. Amazing rather. To be able to do that I had to go through a process I experienced as very invasive. They injected the radiation straight in my vein. No IV. I appreciate your love and your support and your prayers. Thank you.
Evenin' all! Holy cow! I miss one day and find out we've had all sorts of medical nightmares. I'm so very grateful that steps are being taken to rectify what we can. I will say, in our little 'burb, doctors leave a lot to be desired. We have left more than one not so much for the doc but for the front office staff. Customer service is a dying art, I'm afraid.
We, too, are having great weather for a few more days. And then I'm afraid it's going to cool off again. Hoping to get out in the sunshine this weekend. Still too much chance of a freeze to dig in the dirt but I surely can get things ready for when the time comes!
Looked in on the nest on and off all day. All seems well. Shirley says today is balmy tomorrow is snowy. Loretta's birthday is Saturday. It has been a long time since she posted. I hope she checks in periodically. Happy Birthday Loretta.🎉🎈🎊👏💐

Good to "see" you Janet. Welcome home Sandi...was checking out your pictures on FB while you were gone. Freyja certainly has grown! The dogs are going to be SO eggcited to see you again!!!
Lynne....not sure I like being "grabbed"! 😜 And, the feather seems strange in your crown!
OUCH that grab sort of hurt
THANKS for the new second egg thread STEVE crossing talons for a third
Congratulations on the feather LYNNE2
I heard hp no one in nest must been in tree
Oh my didn't mean to be so grabby!
Hey ya all recall the PA nest that the tree fell over. Good new they are incubating another egg built the next PDQ was on FB
Nest not next.
There are some pics of the nest in Pittsburgh...not so great but you can see it! Doesn't it make you wonder if Belle and Lib have a back-up nest nearby??
NOT Lib. Shep. Sorry
Today a very adorable little girl named Nora came in with her mommy and a dog and she was wearing tights with eagles all over them!
getting ready to leave work and head home, catch ya on the flip side!
aww LYNNE2 SWEET a future eagleholic or eagleaddict
The other day a friend of mine posted on FB her 7yr old reading to his younger sister a book all about eagles. I did comment on it.

eagle on the nest is calm, awake and looking over the kingdom!
Would be, not would've...
you all sure have taken the brunt of bad winter Hoda. I'm so sorry about your friend from Dragon Boat. Will pray for a peaceful transition. So sad...
Thank you Lynne.
Yes I have been wishing her the same thing.
Blessed Be.

Good morning eagle budlets
One eggsittin
good morning all.
Grrr
While I was out taking Angie to work. A idiot light came on on dashboard the drawing of a engine
So will have to get that checked out!
I got the manual out nothing informative there just to get checked out
So I guess a trip tomorrow to Ford
JANET I love Aldi's for fruits.wmt seem to go bad sooner I think from being delivered on a not refreg truck!jmho
Wmt is so much cheaper on everything look at the 2.60 difference in the one item alone!
I love Publix bakery bread I am hooked on seeded rye
and they always have their Salads buy one get one. Have you tried their Pear Gorgonzola salad and the Strawberry one¿. Love them!
So I go for specific items at each store! But mostly wmt and I get 10% off with discount card
HODA I also miss Hunter stories!
I wonder if he is wearing a coat this winter. But with winter being milder maybe not
It's a on and of rainy day here
No walking maybe later
Think I will run out for a bit
Both cams are out for me. Eve the still. Anyone else 110 still is stuck I see they are having internet issue. Steve posted that the other day but it seemed not to have affected me or others. Maybe sporadic
Still cam is now working
Late changing of the guard just happened. Belle arrived late. But he got up
Yes Camera is out heretoo. Steve is very frustrated with their internet provider. Service has not been up to standards, I read.
My KRD friend does not think she will see next week. She only wants her family around her and this I well understand. I feel very sad about the whole thing.
Judy I hope your truck fix is not expensive.
Hope Belle and the eggs and Shep are doing well.
Not a good time to be without the cam.
Both cams are now working
For now I should say
Not for me Judy. Cam not working.
Odd HODA I just posted two pic one from each cam on the EM page
It was doin that the other day. To where Steve apologized for it being out for them but I could get it. Intermittent
Keep trying
On the third try, I got sound and then a pixilated picture...
Yep Intermittent.
Thank you Judy for the pictures...
Good morning eagle budlets
HODA I pray for a peaceful transition for your friend
LYNNE2 Hope all goes good for you so man hurdles you have
Sitting at Ford vgonna drop it they have a full garage it seems. So the shuttle will take me home rather would like to wait at home instead of lobby
Good morning everyone. Just watched the changing of the guards. I think it is Shep in there now. Reckon we will have a 3rd egg?
Have a great day!
Howdy eagle momlets
Well they blew smoke in my truck to look for diagnose but only found a loose gas cap!
No charge for that sweet. Just Incase the light comes back on then they will have to drop gas pan to see why it shows that area. So now waiting for shuttle at 3.
But my pump in he washer fluid bit the big one. So that is being fixed. I need my wiper wash fixed in dusty FL
I teased Mike about blowing smoke. Lol
good evening to all. getting ready to start fixing dinner in a few, but popping in to say hey.
clearly, I too have missed a bunch.
hugs and love to all.
Terrific.
Somehow it is not notifying me!!!
How you feeling Janet? OMG...Poor Nikki!
See you all on the morrow!
I am indeed looking forward to the eagle season. this is a wonderful time. the circle of life. it continues....
blessed be.
testing
Hello,
I finally seem to have gotten back on my account. Some time ago, Hunter used my computer for some school work, and I could not get it to let me sign off his account and back onto mine.
I will now try to post this.
Okay!
And welcome back
Just got home from Angie
Loaded my truck tomorrow is daddy daughter dance I am picking Angie up at work going to decorate the auditorium theme is under the sea! Will be taking pic also besides enjoying the kiddos. They are having a DJ and a photo booth. Angie ordered neat back drops for pic you know the kind that has a hole in it for your face.
The place is Plato high school it's a huge compared to the schools cafeteria at her school we have used before I think about 155 will be in attendance
Will be dinner also
yes, still awake....ugh.
Glad you got the computer figured out Shirley!
Please thank Hunter for his service for us. I am just ROFLMBO with that one! Hope Luna is really OK.
Glad you are hopefully safe from the creeping crud Janet!
Sounds like that dance is going to be quite magical Judy!
REALLY going to bed now.
Eagle up and egg rolling and back down on the egg cup again.
So great to see sun on our eagle!
just on the news: dale hollow lake had 2 eaglet hatches.
evening all!
Split it with who was left at the end and gave one aluminum pan to the DJ
He is super good.
Pretty cool Angie ordered a couple cardboard cutouts to stand behind one's the face in it so we have pictures of all of the dads and kids in those and the other one is a sea horse pulling a seashell big cardboard cutout so we took pictures of that
Angie puts the pictures in a Dropbox program and the parents can just take what they want.
Good morning eagle friends.
Have a greyt day all!
Good morning,
Oh, Lynne, so sorry about the pain and housing problems.
Have a good day, everyone.
Keep an eagle eye out today folks.
Shep fought off an intruder...
Actual fight.
Oh Good morning!
Have a great day!
HODA Good morning to you. There was trouble at our nest? Hopefully that was the last. Belle and Shep don't need that now.
Good morning eagle budlets
Saw the pic of the fight on FB. Wow good job Shep
Hello
The cool part of the pictures is the nest and the camera angles and the changes
LOVIN our new PTZ one
the NHZ remember that! OH and the leaves that were taking over our view! And the man in the trunk! LOL
And if you recall at first we thought he was a she the day of the fight in the nest and we lost Paddy O Joy
We got that wrong lol he the turned out to be a good one!
Good to see you Lynne1
I also need to get a new computer just keep putting it off. Wishing I could get Vista
Lol. Don't like change!
Hi Lynne1!
Good morning all!

2 in the nest. I'm having buffering issues.
Good morning eagle budlets
One on eggie at present
LYNNE2 I normally have buffer issues. I keep up the still just for that reason
Test
I am relieved and very pleased that HIPpeas won over steak knife and hip amputation.
Thank God!
Good night all.
Good morning eagle budlets
it's a beautiful day
hot sticky sweaty just got back from a walk I think I'm going to start doing my walk at night.
Not to many shade trees along the sidewalks where I live. At the park there are but trying to do walking in the hood. Save gas for one
One on eggie naturally!
Hey they have a camera on Peace the eaglet that was rescued in FL
peace in pen with adult Bob
The flight pen has two cams one on each end. Cam 2 at the end about three feet from the floor on the right is the nest hard to see at times. But some times can see good all depends on the shadows
82° now 84° predicted high today. Low 66° tonight
Heading out just had a egg roll and saw the two pearly whites
Good morning! Yep! Still morning here!
Lol
Have a great day!
Another test
Still didn't work right. More tinkering, then I'll be back.
SED and prayers for all in need.
Belle chattered for a second
AZ PATTI here is the link to your old blog maybe you can figure it out from there
I went back a couple of months and found your post clicked on it maybe you can figure out how to get back on the blog from there.
your old profile with the bird
https://www.blogger.com/profile/05380115349837779471
Wasn't positive the link was gonna work. That is why it's also there
Still can do link
Belle chattering again
Evening all! Just checking in before bed.
Get the cheese, I'ma gonna whine.....
HODA Did he talk to you about diet change to help lower it. But I just can't imagine you not eating healthy!
Belle just chirped again was brief
I hope you and LYNNE2 get healed soon
LYNNE2 so sorry about the apt
Happy Birthday 🎉 🎈🎊🦅👍 Jerry.
Thank you Judy. I told him what I eat. He had no problem with that.
Both doctors want me to eat more.
They like what I eat, but want me to have more of it.
Thank you for your support
good morning to all.
light, love, hugs and blessings to one and all in need.
HAGD
Both in the nest. It looks like Belle has a stick right across Shep's back. He keeps trying to move it and then looks at her. She said "yeah, whatever, be glad I brought it to the nest." :)
Good morning, getting ready for work.
HODA, that's SO not fair! You take such good care of yourself!
Will check in at work as time allows.
Good morning eagle budlets
Beautiful day little on warm side but can't do anything about that. Winter isn't a word we know in FL this year just a handful of day this year
LYNNE2 I also agree with our active skiing, dragon boat yoga queen HODA should not be sick she eats well and takes care of her temple.. Maybe it's inherited
All seem quite at the nest.
Odd last night she was restless or something was upsetting her. Nothing on FB in regards to it!

Sincere wishes and much happiness for you today, Jerry!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hoda and Lynne2.....Thinking of you both and hoping good health finds you quickly!
Watching the nest!
Camera has changed did you notice. No more ant and leaf and black frame on it also can't do RR and buffer bar gone along with the Fullscreen and live button. Work in progress I assume.
All seems well in the realm.
Shep in.
Little Birds chirping.
Calmer winds, almost none.
Nice day...
I love Us. ❤❤❤
Good evening eagle momlets
Walk was nice did 42 min 4609 steps. Was not bad no sun but was still 81 at 7 when I went.
Belle is going a mumbrella.
Raining on her nest.
She is such a trooper.
Doing not going!
checking in late tonight!
Hoda if you don' t mind my asking, what meds have they put you on?
And your heart palpitations, are they calling it A-Fib (atreial fribrilation)
I have a BP monitor too.
Happy Birthday Tori.
What an adventure you have been on.
Good on ya girl!
Keep on truckin'
It was SO beautiful outside this AM! When Steve got home, we through some kibbles out in the yard so the dogs could forage. We sat at the table in the sun and listened to the "mornigng chorus" of birds for a while before I had to get ready for work.
Gotta get to bed before I do a face plant in to the keyboard1
More sever weather possible in the parts tomorrow,.....
Good morning eagle budlets
JANET Stay safe with the weather coming your way
So sad with the damage left behind so hope it doesn't get as bad. Anyone in the way of the storm please report in later
Just got done doing my bike
Heading out for a bit
Gotta stop in at WMT to see if my coffee has come in yet! Ran in to some of my ole pals and two noticed my weight loss yeah
Good morning!
Wow when I walked in the nest had a storm swaying in the wind looked foggy the weatherman had said it was weaking so hope it continues to
Looks wet but not bad now
I got SIX cans off coffee
Not running out again
LOLLY you need to get a critter cam like WANDA had. I always enjoyed her pics she got
I have a raccoon and a possum the racoons is huge.
Scared me one night. Ken leaves cat food and it was eating when I stumbled across it
Careful with raccoons Judy.
I love us.
Eggs alone n for about 5 minutes now adult has been in and out I saw the camera shake so I think someone's up in the tree
Back
Evenin' all!
SED and prayers for all in need.
good evening to all.
awoke this morning to my phone ringing.
No worry I don't mess with wildlife
SIS there you go breaking the no falling rule
When I first got my gun in Ohio my first time using it
I shocks the heck out of Tom.
I hit every target point on!
Now that was many moons ago! '
It was a Ruger 22 hollow point was used in it.
That gun is no longer! Sold it!
Yes Janet!
No falling rule applies to you too.
I did okay.
I promise to observe the no fall rule more carefully.
hugs to all
There is a new osprey camera in my area of St Petersburg
osprey nest achieva bank installed a saucer
Was on the news with all the media on the eagle cam in Ft Meyer and the never gonna give birth to that giraffe live cam. They had it on. It's been on since Aug. Pretty cool!
Good morning all.
Our Eagles 🦅 🦅 survived the storm.
Hope all is well with all of you...
Snowing here.
Enjoy the day.
Good afternoon eagle budlets
Just got back was shopping for our troops
Jordyns school is collecting donation to send so I went out and spent about 50 in snacks and odd foods for them.
That makes me 5.2
The doctor calculated osteoporosis because he guessed I was 5.4!

I had a separate nurse measure me at another time.
yup.

get checked again.
i'm so glad lolly has been helping you.
JUDYE: good for you. if the deadline weren't so soon Ithink I could have sent some magazines. More notice next time if you can please and thank you.
calling it a night. sweet eagle dreams!

JANET....OMG! Sorry about your shoulder but very glad you didn't break that arm!!!!!
Hoda, I agree that your DB friend's son is in a very sad situation. I will pray that he can handle all of this...
Judy, it sure does seem like the giraffe is never going to have that baby! I have given up watching at this point!
Must get to bed now. Good night and prayers for all.
Eagle up and flying off calling to mate. No one on nest,
Eagle to the rescue, as a parent just came to nest and sat on egg cup.
Belle must have been starving. Shep brought in I think a fish and she was devouring it fast.
Wishing everyone a wonderful weekend full of whatever floats your boat!!

LOL
Cloudy cool day today, but yesterday was beautiful!
Wish we had a blog where we could post pics to be seen here. Would share!
Time....past time to hear from Margy!
Lynne, so sorry about your hip. Not good! Hugs!
I am 5'8 1/2"...... tall but short in the family! LOL. Have not lost any height since age 14. Jack has lost height. Told him I am going to be taller than him soon!😱😁
Nothing on the agenda today. Yay!!! Have a great day!

Very cold here today with the wind. but also very sunny. While Steve was napping I sat outside with a cup of moch and enjoyed it, and played with Daisy, for about an hour. It felt great! Warmer weather on the way Monday but tomorrow should be nicer with very little wind.

Good morning! Yep, still just barely morning here.
We're under a wind advisory until 11:00pm tonight so it will be an inside day here. Might have to finish up the jigsaw puzzle I'm working - two chairs, on a beach, facing the sunset, sailboat anchored offshore, wine glasses on table in between the chairs. Now if I could just make that a reality! :-)

Ha ha ha
Love you Hoda. You have lots of folks who love you and here to support you through anything.

Let me get this out of the way first.
My hip is TRASHED. Cannot walk w/o cane, pain is HORRIBLE. Just cannot seem to get Dr to call me back. OK...

Time to get a move on!
Hoda wanted me to let everyone know that she is home, okay and her day has been very stressful.
good Thursday morning. holding each of you close in my heart and thoughts for your highest and greatest good. comfort, healing, light, and love coming your way.
fairly busy week here. work has been good.
our friends Russell and sarah came over last night. we had dinner and chatted. it was nice....but on a school night! lol. it is one of the few days Russell has off and so we made it happen!
glad to be off this weekend....74 and sunny today, thunderstorms in the a.m. and then snow showers possible on Saturday. good day to stay in, read, paint, and just be.

Beautiful day here 72 here gonna be 80
Hope everyone has a great day
SHAR thanks for bringing HODA info over
LYNNE2 hope you can find a Dr that listens.
Time to start getting ready. Have a good day!
Good morning all
Yesterday was a big day.
Thank you.
Picture of the roses 🌹 Lolly
SED and prayers for one and all! (((HUGS)))
