Going to be a muggy day here. I need to go pick up some prescriptions but hesitating about going out! Haha. Off to read some news and check on the cubbies.

Oh yes. Lynne. So happy about your trip to the doc. Yes, at times we need to make serious decisions about quantity vs. quality. I agree with you.

NCSuzan said...

Oh, finally. The cam stays on! Peaceful juvies resting at the 10 spot. Strange not to see any feetsies!

OH OH i FOR GOT TO CHECK THE BOX

NCSuzan said...

I have to correct my statement on the eagles. I thought that they were snuggled together but just right now I saw a hint of feetsies on the rail. They are a hoot!

Thank you Jo. Hope your trip out is comfortable also.

Good morning to all.

Thank you Steve for the fresh Thursday thread.

Suzan, congratulations on the beauteous new feather. Your pitiful wail of isolation has been heard. You no longer need to talk to yourself. If that continues, let me know. There are medications. lol

Jo, say hi to Dracula. Hope that visit is followed by an ice cream cone - especially in this weather.

Lynne2, sure hope you begin to feel better on a regular basis and all tests are negative.

Eaglets are plotzed at opposite parts of the nest. Maybe just trying to stay cool.

Osprey triplets look strong. Eating breakfast.

Beautiful close up of the loon this morning.

Okay, my plan is to try to make myself less scary for the public and venture out again today to forage for food. This will be a more significant test of walking.

Wishing everyone a wonderful day.

I have returned from Dracula - no ice cream but COFFEE tasted great. It was a quick in and out.

I forgot to say Thank You Steve for the fresh new thread

Good Morning Eagle Buds!!!

Thanks to STEVE for the brand spanking new thread and to SUZAN, whose latest feather is quite beauteous!

LYNNE2, great interaction with doc---we know our bods better than they do much of the time. Nothing ventured, nothing gained is a wise ol' saying. One can always backtrack if necessary.

JUDIE, fingers crossed as you do yet another test today! Shopping is always a pain in the patoot as far as I'm concerned, but I hope you find it pain free today and henceforth!

JO, glad your blood draw was quick, easy and paved the way for COFFEE!!!

Oh, JUDY, my Tucson High School Class of 55' was the largest in the country that year. We'd been on double sessions for a couple of years--allowing me to have a good part time job as a Jr. and Sr.. 1000+ and we took up much of the football field for our lengthy outdoor ceremony. The very next year a new high school was added to the system and by 1960 there were four or five. They caught up with Tucson's rapid post-war growth fast! Nowadays 200 seems to be average---3 out of 5 grands were in that category---the two NJ grands went to a small school with only about 100 grads. Cooper's, Highland Park, NJ, 2013, was the greatest as a storm loomed about midway through so the speeches were pulled and we just had time for diploma's to be handed out before the outdoor ceremony broke up and we all ran for cover! Thanks be to God for much needed rainfall!☺

SHAR, thinking of dear Becky as she copes with her grief. Losing a pet family member is one of life's sad, sad experiences.

Our eaglets are spending a lot of time almost out of cam view. Too bad we'll miss most of their branching and their fledges. Good reason to contribute toward the cam improvements. I suspect all we, now few regulars here, have done what we can do and imagine our FB contingency has as well. Hope the word gets out to some new Eagle Fans and soon!

Prayers for all in need whether for health issues, travel safety, good fortune.....

♥♥♥♥♥♥♥

Good afternoon eagle peeps. Cam freezes on me but I saw the eaglets briefly.Still groggy from no coffee this morning and a very restless night. Rushed from hospital to hairdresser.with 5 minutes to spare. Home for a late morning nap. This day may be a washout for any physical work being done. Hope everyone has a great day.

stronghunter said...

Good afternoon,

Boy is it a hot, muggy day. I actually got some stuff out of the garage today. Now, I just hope the trash guys take it all away.

Will be taking Hunter to baseball practice this evening.

So sorry about your loss, Sharon. Our fur children are very special.

adult in with food was claimed and is being guarded now adult went to cam

Barbara said...

Now that was funny... One of the parents came in -- maybe with a fish -- and was greeted by huge flapping and whining. Parent left quickly amidst the noise. Now I can't tell if one young-un is hiding food, or if it is Ducky. The other kid is not very interested. They both kept whining for awhile.

JudyEddy said...

adult back with more and it was taken again adult gone

Mema Jo said...

That noise was like PLOOP I had to laugh when the adult poofed just as quickly
as the one eaglet claimed the food by mantling
over it.

JudyEddy said...

the one is eating the fish

JudyEddy said...

almost a fight going on a fish still was successful

Hi all - home from the vet with Jenni. Nothing serious at all, just a little gastrointestinal upset. Got some meds and some probiotic to sprinkle on her food - she should be as good as new in a few days.

Thanks Steve for the new thread.

Today is a hot, muggy one here in Bethany as well.

Finished state testing today. Had my last after school department meeting yesterday. I didn't even bring any books or school work home with me this afternoon!I am getting soooo excited - more excited than a normal end-of-the year b/c I will never have to do the things I have come to dislike so much ever again, even when I return to school in the fall!! I will have to remind myself not to gloat!!

Didn't make it to the grocery store last night, so guess what's on this evening's agenda?

Later!

stronghunter said...

I can feel your excitement, Sandi.

I am just happy that the trash truck came. I was worried that I missed the pick-up after all that work in today's heat. I don't know what happened to the plan my kids had to load up the U-Haul with trash, but it didn't happen.

Hello from work!

Lynne2 said...

Not as bad as I thought it was going to be...YAY!

Eagle-Eyed Shar said...

There has been 2 fish deliveries in the last little bit. Donald and Daffy are eating pretty good now.

Judie said...

Good evening everyone.

Lynne, guess I missed the "hospital" reason but happy you were done and out in time to get your "do" done.

Lynne2, glad the day was not so bad for you.

Shirley, I am ecstatic about the garage getting larger and larger. Just think, maybe come winter you will be able to have a home for your chariot. Hope Hunter's team wins the game.

Eaglets are making progress. One looks to be almost on a branch and the other looks as if serious curiosity has set in.

It was a long day for me. Good news: no pain. Long day because every place I went there was some sort of misadventure so late home. Darth needed food immediately to get to a meeting. Scullery is now in order. Grosseries in their appointed cubbies.

Off to put my feet up. May try to watch some tv. Never even looked at today's news.

Sandperson is lurking outside the hall closet. Will pack and be on the way early.

Restful sleep for all.

Sad new one of the eaglet died in the biologists arms today after brought down for banding Catalina nest

Lynne2 said...

That is really sad Judy, I saw that on FB.

I'm very interested in the assessment that the banders will make on Dorothy the falcon's baby tomorrow....

I don' t know what is up with the Lightning Bugs...we have VERY few this year so far.

Mema Jo said...

I have two overnite guests - ggd Samantha and Elizabeth. We caught a glimpse of a
young deer down in the yard at dusk. It thrilled us all !

No plans for tomorrow or the weekend for that matter. Then I start out next week with
dental cleaning and the 6 months check up on my blood work. My upkeep is never ending

Everyone have peaceful sleep and pleasant dreams.......

Goodnight to all ♥

Goodorming my eagle friends - TGIF!! Only 2 more Fridays in my school year, this one and next! :)

Cloudy and humid with showers for the next couple of days - not good for folks headed to the beach for the weekend.

Welcome home Lolly - has Skippi stopped purring yet??

Jo, enjoy your day with the girls!

Have agreat day all.

Good morning,

Sandi, I can tell. You taste the freedom.

Birds are chirping outdoors. Morning has come.

Judie said...

Good morning.

♪♫ HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO OUR LORI ♪♫ May you have an amazing day and may the year ahead bring a home sale and completed home renovations and a nursing position you love.

Eaglets are again contemplating the world outside the nest.
Very sorry about the loss at Catalina.

Sandi, do try to keep your sadness to yourself. Your entire attitude about ending the school year is depressing. Um, in reality, I think your blog friends are just as excited as you are to be done with the school year. We will, I think, miss the stories.

Jo, hope the sleep-over was a great mess of fun.

Janet, so glad the birthday was a success.

Lightning bugs? Sure hope those are not dying off. Don't usually see them around here until seriously hot weather - July sometime.

Okay, off for coffee and newspaper. Wishing everyone the best possible day.
