So glad you are able to make it to Martinsburg, Judie. I will be on Hunter watch today. Had to retrieve his phone from the school today. Not supposed to text during class.
Judie I am sorry that Margy got called in to work and will miss the 1:00 funeral. Thank you for being there and letting us know later about the service. I am just very thankful that GG peacefully passed on to a better place.
Oh ... as we say, Bummerini, and the Terrible Awful has occurred....as Judie mentioned, I got the snag to work noon to 5! Well, it is my turn I guess...many have gotten these calls this week....
BUT, I shall report to where the family is gathering afterwards and hope to share in their wonderful fellowship... I know Judie is our Girl Friday here, perfect choice to be there for this loving detail....
THANKS FOR THE NEW FRIDAY THREAD, STEVE.....
Take care call, getting ready for work AND family gathering...RED it is, RED Friday...
Glad to see our cam up/running today Judy - others say also it was a quick in and out visit by one of our eagles this morning. You didn't miss anything.
As the dear young lady who works at the car shop where I had my oil change / winterizing this morning said..when this call came in... "Well, maybe you can help save someone's life today."
That's the Spirit !! that's "what we do." [at 9-1-1, my workplace...]
God Bless Her !! ...and God Bless Us, Every One...
heading out soon...
Good Morning Friday Morning Armchair Quarterbacks !!
Nest Update 11/02/14: We updated our Eagle Cam Gallery with photos showing our eagle adults visiting the nest. If this nesting season proceeds as normal, we would expect to see eggs around mid January.
My bird inventory has grown significantly in the past few days. For a long time it was on titmice, chickadees, mourning doves and a cardinal pair.
Now it is my cardinal pair (always know it is the same ones because she has only 1 eye), titmice (one with a brown chest), chickadees, mourning doves, song sparrows, house sparrows, blue jays, dark-eyed juncos, white-throated sparrows, gold finches, Carolina wrens, but not a partridge in a pear tree.
Hi all - catching up and checking the box on this new thread. So glad the weekend is here.
Big town council meeting this evening that Denny and I will be attending. Property owners association meeting tomorrow morning to set a budget for 2015. tennis on Sunday morning. But no school work to do over this weekend - yay!
I will check in tomorrow morning early. Have been thinking a lot about Wanda and her girls today.
she has open gym this evening 630-830 and Miss I need my rest so I can go is taking a nap we insisted and she doesn't argue -on the two days a week she goes she is absolutely pooped at the end and that is just a hour and she crashes as soon as she get home after dinner so funny how she still likes naps She says she feels better after one MOST kids would fight instead of napping
The service for GG was so very nice. Pastor Eddie talked of death as a new awakening and GG looked lovely.
Wanda and family were sad, of course. However, they are all so strong and dignified in times of sadness.
Margy can report on the gathering at GG's home. I did not stay as traffic is horrendous and darkness arrives early now. As Wanda said, once past the four-way stop, there are no Sheetz stores to save me.
I told Wanda that all the momsters and dadsters were there with her in their hearts. She asked that I let you all know she is doing well.
Hi all! Busy day here! Went to Arlington to buy new Christmas tree for church. Asked and received a 10% discount so was able to purchase bags for storage. Went to write a check and they said they do not accept checks. Well, I charmed them into accepting a check written on an account from church, lol. It is a beautiful tree! A friend met us at church to unload the box. Very heavy! It is a 12 ft tree!
Came home and worked in the yard. I filled 6 or 7 garbage bags with pulled up dead flowers. Then used the leaf blower to finish the clean up. It was cold working, 41 with a much colder chill factor!
Good evening all. Glad Margy and Judie got to see Wanda. I had to work over last night until almost 8:00 and would have had to go in work clothes, etc. If Wanda is still doing Soup Kitchen I will try to head down to see here. Also, thanks for all the kind words and comments regarding my son's work apps. I guess my main concern is not wanting to mis-lead. The head of the Adult Ed said to say he has a High School credential...too bad the apps don't have a line for that option. He can live with us and I can give a food , shelter and comfort just not much financial support. Enough rambling...two days in a row for me might lead to bad weather or something.:-) Take care and be safe. Tomorrow is last day of boss's vacation...always a good day for me...after a not so good week.
good Friday evening! its been a busy day. work was a little slow...I had a full schedule when I left work yesterday, got there and had 2 on the books????? so after the first one, I made a pot of coffee and drank a big cup. had a 10 a.m. massage. 11 a.m. lunch time. drink more coffee. massage from noon to 1:30 (I picked another up)...and then headed home.
got a lot done, did basic straightening up so I can be lazy after work tomorrow. that's the plan!
they were brining the roads on my way home this afternoon. supposedly we are getting a nasty wintery mix tomorrow night and sunday night. we shall see.
dinner is done now (left overs) and its time to get out a book or maybe some cross stich. all critters are warm and comfy....dax in my lap, beano by my side, and sable near us on the floor. the girls are in their kennel napping after dinner....
Thank you Judie for being able to attend GG's service. I'm sure the family appreciated your presence and thank you for your words to them that we all were there in spirit. Pastor Eddie has a wonderful way with words - His service for Gene was exceptional and I'm thinking it was the same for GG.
Alas, I was too late to meet up with the family late this afternoon, driveway at the gathering place, was empty of cars....yet, I am happy that everyone could get back to their own Roosts in a timely fashion....
Thank You, Judie, for being our "Momsters AND Dadsters" today at the Funeral...I know you carried us all with you...and I know from your report...that it was a lovely service...
WV Jerry: the next soup kitchen will be the Tuesday of Thanksgiving Week....I sincerely hope to be there...so maybe I'll see you also ! Best Wishes on all things going on in your life, with family, and work...and busy busy busy..... "Things have a way of working out..." - especially for "Good People" like you ! xo ♥
Sharon: I'm a little out of touch with all things "Double E-S" * but...I am in your corner! and hoping for good health and happiness all the way around !!

Shirley: I've been Grammar-girling it lately..that friend of mine I mentioned that is writing a book, we have to research hyphens and other things like that! I always think of YOU during these times....
ttfn Eagle Pals...Wishing you ALL the very best Friday Night....
Security system is armed please be sure to use your code if out past curfew
Well I'm calling it a day SED ♥AOYP See ya in the am ☼ at Sycamore Sunrise Cyber Cafe Bless this Nest and all ♀ ♥ ♂ whom watch it at Sycamore Palace Healing thoughts for those in need
"Be kinder than necessary, for everyone is fighting some kind of battle."
About that time to say good nite! Jack and I watched a little TV from PBS this evening. Fire is keeping us toasty!
Jack is now shelling pecans. He cracks them with his electric cracker. Then he puts them into a box he built. It is divided and one side holds cracked pecan and the other side the shells. He fills bowls and then bags them for the freezer. So far...... 3 one gallon freezer bags! This just may be the biggest crop ever! Our biggest ever was 42 one gallon bags. Time will tell!
Going to work in the yard again tomorrow. Possible wintry mix Sunday. Monday we have our first basketball game to go .
Thinking of Wanda this evening. She must be emotionally exhausted. Lot of adjusting to do,
Goodorming my eagle friends - 28 degrees here in Bethany Beach. Nest is currently MT.
Jo, at last night's meeting I kept thinking about Michael in Haiti. There was lots of raising of voices and finger pointing over an ordinance the council is trying to change. At one point, I nudged Denny and wrote on my meeting agenda, "FIRST WORLD PROBLEMS!!" There are people in other countries living in tar paper shacks with no windows and no running water and we had a room full of upper middle class people arguing over regulations governing the building of our beach houses - good grief! I was silent (hard to believe, right?)
This morning's meeting will consist of many of the same people who belong to the property owners association. Not sure I even want to see those people again, but as the treasurer of the association, this is "my big meeting" as we'll be establishing a budget for 2015, so I have to be there. Yawn.
Stay warm and have agreat day! Margy, it's so good to see you posting again!
Up early on this crisp Saturday. Sun is awake so I guess I need to be also.
If anyone else watches the Cheetah cubs, take a look today. They are moving to a new enclosure and will not be available to us.
Sandi, I understand how you feel about the people you mentioned. So many are unable to experience empathy and compassion for others. So many become increasingly insulated and isolated with self-interests.
Going to tackle the kitchen today. Specifically, the oven door. Then I can turn on the self-clean. Always do this when weather gets cold. Then maybe tidy up the laundry room. That will be my day of self-interest.
Going to look in on the nest, then coffee, then the scullery.
Michael message me that he will be home late tonight. One time his flight didn't get in until almost midnight. He has transportation within the group - I hope? lol
JUDIE, you were a wonderful Good Will Ambassador at GG's service and I thank you! Thanks for reminding me of the chore I save for winter, too. Not that a self cleaning oven represents a huge chore ☺--I do love that modern convenience!
MARGY, love seeing you back here again. Your positive outlook on life is positively inspiring!
JO, prayers for Michael as he flies in from Haiti! Our Hugh is in the air, too. Flying back in from Ireland and bringing a cold back with him. I'll keep my distance!
SANDI, you and JUDIE have covered the topic of "meetings" and "First World Problems" well and I second all e-motions.
Freezing cold here, too. 30° at this moment and not destined to go much higher.
Good morning! Yes, Sandi, I just do not understand some people! Thank goodness we do not have a HOA! I can understand keeping a lawn neat, but some times HOA's just get wild! Have heard horrendous tales! And, people can get so ugly!
Hope to work in the yard some today but TCU has a big game today at two, so that will kill most of the afternoon!
I am sure Michael has had a wonderful trip! So awesome that he is feeling up to these trips.
Saw on fb that the Texas Llano Eagles are back and in yet another new nest. Thank goodness that our Eagles return to the same nest!
Today is a good day for a run. GGD, Christine this early am is running in the HCA Virginia 8k or 5K - the Half Marathon. It's one of these entries and with friends. Anxious to see her cross that Finish Line.
ok Christine ran the Half Marathon She thinks her time was per mile 3:14. She said it was so cold 27! They gave them blankets at the end of the race and Pizza - she said she was starving. Really proud of her.
Cannot wait for the sound of leaf blowers to be done for the year. Driving me crazy.
Hoda, could you please slow down for about five minutes so I can type? You are making me jittery with all your energy. Have fun!
Congratulations to Christine. Don't know about running in the cold but the pizza sounds good. lol
Safe travels for Miracle Michael. Hugs for his safe return and for his contribution to those in need.
First World Problems. Well, seems we have some third world problems in our First World. Things like poverty, hunger, disease, homelessness, etc. JMHO
Ah Kay, the self-clean is wondrous. However, I do scrub counter tops, light switches, stove, canisters, etc. All day job but only twice yearly. No Lollypaloozing for me.
Judie, I am "devastated". I watched the cheetahs this morning and saw nothing about a move and right now they are on. Where is this news. I will miss this family. Hope they are going to a larger area where they can run until they poop out!
Margy, so good to see you. Thank you and Judie for representing those of us who could not be there for Wanda and her family. Hope everything in your life is wonderful.
Looks like Michael has been blessed with safe travels. That is good news.
It's cool here in central NC. Fifties now but was in the twenties last night. The kitties gave off lots of good warmth!
Scullery duties are over until time to put chicken on the grill.
So happy to know Michael is safely back and on his way to home base and his loving family and friends. Now I know what I heard -- a sigh of relief from somewhere in a valley.
Suzan, I saw the Cheetah notice at the still picture this morning (mid right side of computer screen). My guess is that a larger enclosure is necessary, a place to chase prey (which I would not want to see), is part of the program. Mama Meg should watch after the babes until she becomes ready to mate again when this litter is about 22 months. Probably do not have the funds/equipment for the larger area.
Headed to put my feet up again. Maybe read some of today's newspaper.
Angie took Jordyn and a friend and her mom to Tampa International Mall they had Santa with a Frozen theme I shared on my facebook page it says may not be seen by all blah blah blah Let me know if you can see them if not I can just right click to my computer and post Jordyn wore one of my early Christmas present a dress Frozen naturally LOL Angie wanted to buy a Christmas dress and I talked her in to the dress since it's a frozen theme made sense and she did look up past events and most had the frozen stuff on Plus buy a dress and only get worn once better this way
Steak, potato, and a bottle of wine tonight! Wahoo! Have not been eating steak nor drinking much wine this fall. Down 14 pounds because of cutting back. But sometimes a girls gotta eat what a girls gotta eat!
TCU pulled it off, but barely! Whew! That was scary!
Did not work outside today and now it is misty. 44 so no problem for the roads. Snow still predicted for tomorrow afternoon and evening.
Macie, little girl next door has turned 13! Big party going on and the neighborhood is rocking! We do not mind it at all, but laughing and wondering what the peculiar neighbor on the other side of them is thinking.
Well there you have it, a busy kind of a day amongst Us Momsters {and the lurking Dadsters out there !]
JudyE- you seem to have a pretty good track record seeing these Eagles. You go, girl....
Lolly: sounds Good - Nice Meal ! Bet you burn up the twice the amount of calories you consume with all your activity !
Welcome Home - soon! for Miracle Michael....It's good to think of the wondrous things he does on these Mission trips, his Fellowship skills are Phenomenal! and Congratulations to his daughter Christine! Those sound like super good run times for her !!
speaking of Pizza....Pizza Hut has pretty much totally revamped their menu and presentations.... Some mighty fine choices ... they were falling behind some of the other Pizza places...I think they will be catching up, Pronto! Some new items include: different sauces you can have drizzled onto your pizza...like Balsamic Vinegar...wow, I had some of that today on a Vegetarian pizza...Yummers !
and don't forgot we have some powerful Meteor showers coming up... best views would be in the middle to early morning times of Monday Nov 17 and Tues Nov 18 - the Leonids, always a pretty good show!
good evening all. its been a good day. sounds like everyone has been busy.
work was great. fully booked.
I came home and tom said let's eat out. we went to buffalo wild wings. then bee-bopped over to target. I picked up a few things for the gkids for the holidays.
Goodorming Judy and all my eagle friends. I see color at the nest but no eagles.
Bought my first Christmas gift yesterday - an LL Bean child's snow sled with a seat and a red padded cushion for Miss Freyja. We will also be giving her Denny's old rocking chair, once Denny has tightened the arms and runners and I have painted it. Most of our Christmas gifts this year are the type that fit into an envelope so shopping is minimal.
Tennis for me at 9am. After that, a lazy day. Have agreat day everyone!
Good morning. Beautiful Day here. Ski Coaches Clinic today...all day and then yoga... I love us. Glad everyone seems to be doing Alright. Welcome home to MICHAEL.
Goodness Gracious, Hoda ! There is just a little over six [6!] hours turnaround time for you....!! Whew, bottle up how you do this and distribute to all Momsters and Dadsters in need !! Put me on the List !!!
I've been visiting with Jenny here this morning. She worked all week so I AM happy to see her and chat. Only 23 more days and she could be a grandmother. AND I could have my 13th great grand ♥
I have talked with Michael and he will probably come out today to visit. He said he slept until 9:30 - also that the flights were good except for the 5 hr layover at Ft Lauderdale air port. Not too many eating places! Judie - who were you thinking of as far as back in WV...? Of course Michael is Frederick MD. I think it was a typo! lol
Checking in after sweeping the deck, getting the snow shovel out of storage---all is ready for tonight's snowfall. Bah humbug!
Happy to see Miracle Michael back home and the Jenny has been visiting with our dear JO today!
Julie brought Noodles fare over for dinner last night and then went to the airport to retrieve her dear Hubby. Seth stayed on campus for the weekend--big football game--but he called last night. Otterbein lost to Northern Ohio, but he had a lot of fun anyway. Yeah!
SANDI, Freyja is one lucky little girl! I'm at that "envelope gifts" stage of life, too. By Christmas my grands will all be over 20 years of age and cold hard cash is their favorite gift. My three kids receive magazine subscriptions per their request, so I stay out of the busy shops and malls for the duration!
HODA, I agree with MARGY, wish you could bottle up a potion of HODA's High Energy elixir. I'd buy it by the caseload!
JUDY and JUDIE, thanks for the heads up on a number of interesting nests!
The most exciting thought is that once the FL eagles start the season then coming up the coast MD will only be about a month or more behind. Whoo Hoo The season has begun!
Hi, Everyone, Trying to stay caught up here. Sis-in-law & Bro-in-law are in Las Vegas this weekend. Their daughter-in-law Tiffany's mom has passed away after a short battle with pancreatic cancer, and the funeral was yesterday, in Vegas.
Hoda, prayers for Peggy and Jeremy, and for Thich Nhat Hahn. Don't know how you manage to do all that you do! Wears me out just reading about it! God bless your health!
Jo, you've been in my prayers as usual, and I'm glad your radiation treatments are over.
Been praying for and thinking about Wanda and the whole Wright family.
Margy, thank you for your awesome report from GG's viewing. So good to see you back here, too! Judie, thank you for your report, too!
Good to hear from Jerry! Prayers that Dean will find the perfect job.
Lolly, prayers for little Deacon. Please keep us posted. So excited for you and Jack about your Tuscany trip!
Shar, prayers for you. Hope they have clear CT views, and can figure out the best way to help you!
Lynne2, SO sorry about your horrible work week! (((HUGS)))!!
Most of the Momsters seem to be having cold, rainy, icy, or snowy weather. Ken & Emma & I are having extremely dry, windy weather--the Santa Ana winds have returned. It was pretty chilly this morning, with a low of 52 and winds of about 30 mph, with much stronger gusts. Ken has a sinus headache today, and Emma is kind of jumpy because of the wind. We now have leaves from the 3 big Ficus trees all over our patio and front yard, about 4 inches deep! Most of the leaves are green ones, so the wind has literally torn them off the trees. We have a high wind warning until noon tomorrow, and a red flag fire warning for much of our area until 8 pm tomorrow, due to low humidity and high winds. Will keep you posted.
Hope everyone has a nice afternoon/evening. I ♥ us!!
it is 78° now was 82° hard to believe in a few days we will have YOU ALL's cold front Can you keep it please I could say that HODA has left the freezer open Will be here Tues that will be our 40° lo day then on the rebound after the front goes through
Dinner done now I need to do dishes I just love the steaming bags chicken done in 3min couscous and peas
I forgot to say that the cam is STUCK again I noticed it a t lunch but didn't say anything because limited IE on lunch bummer no visit tonight Why does it get stuck I wonder This is a PIA
Deck the halls! Tis the season....etc! We have put up our tree!! It is not decorated! We put it up so Miss Skippita will get used to it before we decorate it. She goes to the vet for boarding Thurs and we leave Friday for CO. We will be home Sunday after thanksgiving and we will decorate the tree then.
So far she loved the bag but seems to be leaving it alone. We shall see!
Home! Safe and sound Kitties are great and purring up a storm. I am hungry and tired, May try to post a photo from the big camera later this evening to give you a clue of what I really did experience. For now Laundry kitties food and maybe even a nap.
Here locally was on the news that a house that was sort of deserted owners living in hotel while over 100 cats took over their house They have captured 112 so far in 4 days and there are more so they will continue to set traps until they are sure They have arrested the couple and they are in jail still YEAH The cats are in the walls, attic I guess hole in walls in cabinets . They are going in with gas mask because of the smell So sad that someone would neglect them They did say they would stop buy throw food in the window and water I sure wish there were stiffer sentences for these crimes
Lolly, enjoy the vacation. I'm sure Skippy will miss you.
JudyE, how tragically sad for the defenseless animals. May there be mercy and caregivers for them all.
Yes Jo, I got so carried away I forgot where Michael Lives. No wonder my car steering wheel wants to take the Frederick exit on the way to WV. lol. Hugs to all.
Am headed to the pillows early tonight. Have a cardiology appt. tomorrow.
Sandperson is packed and will be departing at 11pm. Is packing kitty food for those in FL when stopping by JudyE's area.
well my jello-menopausal brain...and I...made a big boo boo today!
I booked a continuing ed class for myself, (required) back in august. paid for it. good to go ...right?
I thought about the class a couple weeks ago. discussed it with a colleague.
then last week thinking gonna be a busy weekend....work, class, biopsy on Monday.
time marches on. work. home. home school. thinking about biopsy. tired. decide to be lazy today. took a LOOOONNNGGGG nap after was woke up waaaayyyy earlier than I wanted to be....
get up. shower. about 3 pm it hits me. uh oh.
I FORGOT TO GO TO THE CLASS!!!!
it completely slipped my mind. must be done by dec 31. so I have a bit of time. see if I can get in on another one.
sheesh! headslap!
nothing I can do aobut it now, just find another class!
Well, Laurel posted that it snowed in Denton. Maybe there has been a trace here. Really have not seen it but just walked outside and there is a sprinkling on snow on the top of the chiminea.
We have been enjoying a nice cozy fire this evening. Keeps the den very warm but the bathroom is like going to an outhouse. Yikes! 29 now so sure that some roads may be yucky!
Judie, I hate the idea of leaving Skippi. I try not to think about it. Poor baby! She loves to run and play. Annie I could leave as I knew she slept most of the time. Hoping they will let me leave her bed and a couple of toys with her. She still loves my old mink collar. We never know where it is going to end up. She drags it everywhere. Jack calls it her rat.
She has pretty much ignored the tree this evening. Yea! May not be able to decorate the bottom of the tree. LOL
Hi, Everyone, I had fallen asleep in my chair with Miss Emma after dinner, but a really strong wind gust woke us up. The news on TV says we'll have more wind tomorrow until evening. Hangin' in there!
Glad to see that Miracle Michael is stateside, and that Glo made it home OK. Looking forward to some pictures!
JudyE, that hoarding situation sounds like a real nightmare! Hope for the best for those poor furbabies!
Well, need to try to get some sleep. Sent Ken to bed earlier with some Sudafed and Tylenol to try to fix his sinus headache. The humidity had been fairly high, then it plummeted when the winds started. Hope Ken's better after a good night's sleep. Have SED, everyone. God bless, and goodnight. I ♥ us!!
I'm hanging out in the recliner for now. My knee is making it a bit difficult to get around right now. I may have to make a call to the doctor and see about getting a different medication. He mentioned knee replacement as a last resort. Oh my.
I did bowl several practice games yesterday, but I think I will skip practice today as I do want to be able to bowl tomorrow.
Wonder if the knee problems might be partially weather-related? I do not know.
Oh my, Janet. I can sympathize with your forgetting to go to a class. I have been known to forget taking Hunter to stuff from time to time. I tell Kathryn she needs to remind me.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU' HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU HAPPY BIRTHDAY DEAR HODA HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU!
been up a few. everyone has had breakfast. it was snowing earlier, now I see blue skies in the north. just a nice dusting of pretty white snow. took pix. never know, this might be it!
feeling anxious about this dr appt. be glad when its done.
♪♫ HAPPY BIRTHDAY DEAR HODA ♪♫ May you enjoy an even more amazing day than usual.
Welcome home Glo.
Cold dreary rainy overcast gray sky day here.
Must venture out for a cardiology visit - follow up from last week's adventure. No real change as no intervention was deemed necessary. Have prescriptions. Will discuss side-effects today which can be debilitating.
Andy, hope the weather improves and Kubby's headache is 'gone with the wind'
Janet, thanks for the laugh and welcome to my world. Have a calendar and a day-minder. Know a teacher (not Shirley) who was enjoying dinner with her family when she was called to find out whey she wasn't in class.
Shirley, woman we know had knee replacement and she and hubby went to Ireland for their anniversary a few months later. She climbed 500+ castle steps. A new knee might be a blessing.
Okay, need to get ready to go out. So ridiculous. Doctor is 10 minutes away. Must allow an hour to find a parking space. STUUUUUUUUUPID!
♫♪♫ HAPPY BIRTHDAY DEAR HODA, HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU ♪♪♪
This is a day of remembrance for me as I recall Nov. 17th birthday joys shared with hubby, Stan--sister, Karen--and BFF, Ellen. RIP dear ones!
First significant snowfall of the year here with about 2 inches on the ground and more coming. Way too early, but Mother Nature doesn't seem to think so.
JUDIE, hope the doctor gives you a big thumbs up today and that you're beginning to experience renewed energy.
JUDY, enjoyed seeing Jordyn and Chloe in their Christmas finery! She's lost her baby look and is quite the young lady now! The cat story is a nightmare--I am amazed at how often similar stories play themselves out with both cats and dogs in this area. Cannot understand the mentality of people who apparently start out with a love of animals, but lose control of all sensibility.
I must try on some of my duds today and make decisions as to what to take to NJ. Think the sensible thing to do is color code with blacks and greys predominant and plan on layers. Have to go to the basement for my large suitcase as Lee is sending me home with a hand me down Bose CD and radio set. Yeah!
Snow in Ohio--It is early, Kay. I remember making the adjustment when I moved there from the South. Down here, a bit of snow means lots of people stay home and wait for it to melt. Not so much in Ohio. Enjoy your trip.
500 steps! Wow, Judie. That parking situation does sound stupid. Down here, it is more of a situation with traffic on the streets. Route 3 is infamous for traffic jams in the Fredericksburg area.
🎉🎊🎉🎊🎈🎉🎊🎈🎊Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday dear Hoda, Happy Birthday to you! 🎈🎊🎉🎈🎊🎉🎈🎊🎉
Good morning all! Saw 24 but up to 35 now and bright sunshine!
Heading to Denton later for basketball game. Also picking up the keys to our cabin in CO!
Sandi, Laurel and family are going to CO, too! They have to board dogs! They leave PC in the house with tons of food and litter. They may have neighbor check on him. It is expensive to board, but she will be fine. We had a kennel we loved but that business closed down due to a divorce. ANNIE did well at the vets as she was so old and he knew what to do if necessary! Maybe they will play with Skippi!
Need to get a move on. Going to make lasagna to take to Laurel's.
hi all. am home. had lunch, now coffee. apt went well. dr concludes:
I am very definitely post menopausal. biopsy was uncomfortable but not intolerable. results back at a later date. am trying to find a way to alleviate symptons. upping some meds I am already on. if that does not work, will try something else.
HAPPY, HAPPY BIRTHDAY, HODA!!! Hope you're having a spectacular day!
The winds here have slowed down somewhat, but it will be tonight before they are completely gone. Saw on the news that somewhere up in the Los Angeles area a big tree fell on someone's parked car. Thankfully, no one got hurt.
Ken is better today. He has gone to the bank to get a receipt for our house payment he made on Saturday. Their computer system was down that day, so they took our check and payment slip, and said we could pick up a receipt today. He also needs to go to the main post office and try to pick up a box they say they tried to deliver yesterday. When we looked it up online, they show that they tried to deliver it to a wrong address. The Amazon order shows the correct address, but USPS has apparently goofed up. This ought to be interesting. MTBR...
Wow, we have so many leaves piled up where our gate to the back yard is, the gate won't open! Our gardeners will be hating life when they attempt to clean it all up tomorrow!
Judie, I have exactly the same situation with my doctor. Ten minutes away, but not enough parking spaces. I often park down the block at a city park and hoof it to the doctor's office. Takes a lot less time. Hope your new meds are starting to do what they're meant to do, without any side-effects.
Well, need to vacuum the entry hall and living room. We don't have dust bunnies here, we have dust "puppies"--enough to make another Emma! Will check back in later. Have a good afternoon, everyone. I ♥ us!!
right now we getting liquid sunshine rain rain rain and naturally the cold front has brought us sever warning tornado etc gonna check radar to jump in the shower in between bands of storms
Jo? Jo? Wait! Wait for me. Taking Michael to dinner? Are you going to Dutch's? Oh woe is me. Please enjoy the time with Miracle Michael and have a great dinner.
Had a nice visit with the nurse practitioner. She explained and drew pictures of the plaque buildup areas. She agreed with me that the medications prescribed are a bit too high in dosage amounts and one is likely not going to work for me because of side-effects. So, some minor changes. She assured me the cardiologist would not be pi__ed off. Will try one med for 30 days to check for tolerance/side-effects.
Janet, glad the biopsy is done. Results will at least help you know where you are and what is needed for relief.
Lolly, never boarded my cats. Always let them stay in their own environment. Had a trusted neighbor visit for food/water, play time etc.
Okay, decided to splurge tonight. Please do not tell my cardiologist. Preparing shrimp and cheese grits (ala Bobby Flay). So, this is a once-a-year treat dictated by cold gloomy weather.
Hi Andy. Happy Kubby is feeling better. Wish you would keep the wind over your way. Expected high wind gusts with January type cold for us tomorrow.
Kay, are you supposed to get more snow? Agree with Shirley. This is a bit early even for Ohio.
They say 52% of the US has snow which is way way early at Christmas it is normal 33% Just on the weather as I sit here waiting for our eagles to show up
JUDYE: the biopsy of the endometrial tissue was not to determine if I post menopausal, the blood work did that. the biopsy was to rule out any disease processes.....as was the ultrasounds. so far everything looks completely normal and as long as everything stays stopped, no hysterectomy. but if it starts up again, then it goes.
cold tonight. down into the teens. right now in the upper 20's.
brrrrrrrrr
glad to be in tonight.
hugs to all. probably calling it an early night tonight.
It's getting late and everyone must be hunkered down against the cold & wind.!!!!zzzz Our outside temp said 45° awhile ago & that's not real cold, but the wind was awful. Think I'll have to get out my Panda hat for the Park in AM!!!
First, good healthy wishes for Judie and Janet!!!Sounds like things are under control!
Had a little more than a 24 hour visit with our daughter. Great to see her. She had some 'puter work to do on her laptop for her England trip that began Sun. about 6 PM. Don't think I mentioned that the VERY friendly orange and white cat that appeared out of nowhere was brought into the house Fri. PM by Fubby! He loves it,is a lap sitter, but the other two are not real happy. The Vet checked him here for an ID chip, and there wasn't one. Don't know how he got here?
Yes, it is TOO early to be this cold and it's TOO early to be November!!!!
Take care, be well and Pleasant Feather Dreams ;>)
Congratulations Loretta on you new family member - OJ. What a lucky kitty to find two such loving and caring people to adopt. Very glad you had some time with Sherry.
Hoping Jo had a terrific dinner out with Mr. Jo and Miracle Michael.
Headed for the pillows in a few. Will be puttering around in the morning then off to Occoquan to finalize placement on the wait list.
Sandperson is packed and ready to depart. Jufie is so excited about Lolly and Jack being away - pecan feast is about to begin.
Judie & Janet, glad the doctor appointments went well.
Loretta, how wonderful - a new kitty has adopted you!
I had a dentist appointment yesterday after school for a cleaning. Didn't go as planned. I have a filling that is "leaking" and needs to be replaced. Also, the hygienist wasn't happy with my gums so back to the periodontist I go for my next cleaning.
Today is another meeting with the Mom who is suing the district. She continues to insist that her daughter qualifies for services that she doesn't. Since we won't provide them, the district's attorney says she will be taking the district to court. I just wish the mom would see that she is her daughter's problem! Sigh!
It's cold out there this morning. Knee is a little better, but I still need to get it checked out.
When I looked outside this morning, I saw that Will had parked in the driveway behind me. So I got him to take Hunter to school. Hunter is still not convinced it is cold enough to wear a jacket. Makes me shiver to think about it.
Cold, cold out there this morning. Wind chill in the single digits. Wm, my cat, is very unhappy that I won't let him outside. He reluctantly used the litter box this morning. . Shirley, my Alaskan grandchildren are the same about coats--don't think they need them yet! Of course it isn't as cold there as it is here! And as of yesterday, they had no snow on the ground, while we have a few inches. Oh well, what can we do?

Thanks for the new thread, Steve, and for the call-over, GB and Judie.
So glad you are able to make it to Martinsburg, Judie. I will be on Hunter watch today. Had to retrieve his phone from the school today. Not supposed to text during class.

Oh ... as we say, Bummerini, and the Terrible Awful has occurred....as Judie mentioned, I got the snag to work noon to 5!
Well, it is my turn I guess...many have gotten these calls this week....

Good morning Margy. ♥
Steve - you surprised me with a fresh new thread. Thank You!
Thanks Judie and grannyblt for getting to be #1 and #2 commentators!
As the dear young lady who works at the car shop where I had my oil change / winterizing this morning said..when this call came in...

Blackwater News on Eaghle page:
Nest Update 11/02/14:
We updated our Eagle Cam Gallery with photos showing our eagle adults visiting the nest. If this nesting season proceeds as normal, we would expect to see eggs around mid January.
Didn't mean to mis-spell Eagle....
Hi Sharon - Happy about your medical test yesterday.
Thanks Mema Jo, me too.
And downy woodpeckers and a red-bellied woodpecker.
And nutchatches, squirrels.
Later.
HOWDY Eagle buds
at Angies house
she has open gym this evening 630-830 and Miss I need my rest so I can go is taking a nap we insisted and she doesn't argue -on the two days a week she goes she is absolutely pooped at the end and that is just a hour and she crashes as soon as she get home after dinner
so funny how she still likes naps She says she feels better after one MOST kids would fight instead of napping
Good early evening everyone.
She asked that I let you all know she is doing well.
looks like we are stood up
Thank you JUDIE for GG's report
SHAR are you having surgery? When? I missed it.
Blue skies and sun is out today.
Good yoga class in AM.
Going to evening yoga and then the theatre.
Good night
God Bless Us All.
Do appreciate your attendance at the service, Judie.
Tomorrow is last day of boss's vacation...always a good day for me...after a not so good week.
good Friday evening! its been a busy day. work was a little slow...I had a full schedule when I left work yesterday, got there and had 2 on the books????? so after the first one, I made a pot of coffee and drank a big cup. had a 10 a.m. massage. 11 a.m. lunch time. drink more coffee. massage from noon to 1:30 (I picked another up)...and then headed home.
got a lot done, did basic straightening up so I can be lazy after work tomorrow. that's the plan!
they were brining the roads on my way home this afternoon. supposedly we are getting a nasty wintery mix tomorrow night and sunday night. we shall see.
dinner is done now (left overs) and its time to get out a book or maybe some cross stich. all critters are warm and comfy....dax in my lap, beano by my side, and sable near us on the floor. the girls are in their kennel napping after dinner....
life is good.
blessed be.
Thank you Judie for being able to attend GG's service. I'm sure the family appreciated your presence
and thank you for your words to them that we all were there in spirit. Pastor Eddie has a wonderful way with words - His service for Gene was exceptional and I'm thinking it was the same for GG.
Good Evening, Eagle Pals....

Lot of adjusting to do,
Night all! Love and hugs! SED!
Good Morning Eagle Buds
53° here in sunny F: gonna go to 49° tonight
Nest is pitch black at this time
and of course MT in the darkness from what I see
the nest is just now peaking in the darkness I can see the branches
colors on a MT nest now
Goodorming my eagle friends - 28 degrees here in Bethany Beach.
Good morning.
Wishing everyone a lovely morning.
good morning to all. off to work in a bit.
chilly this morning. 23 at the moment. but the sun is out.
hope everyone slept well. have a wonderful day! hugs and love to all

Michael message me that he will be home late tonight. One time his flight didn't get in until almost midnight. He has transportation within the group - I hope? lol
Good Morning Eagle Buds!!!
Miss Penny thinks it's time for an outing.....
Love and Prayers for all!!!
♥♥♥♥♥♥♥
Good morning all.
Safe midnight landing to MICHAEL.
You are correct SANDI! UGH!
First World Problems negate the survival problems of many First World People!!!
Off to yoga, sauna, book launch volunteering: Humans Of Nelson.
Then to ski coaches clinic in Castlegar
Enjoy the day
Love and Light to us all.
See you tomorrow
Today is a good day for a run. GGD, Christine this early am is running in the HCA Virginia 8k or 5K - the Half Marathon. It's one of these entries and with friends.
Anxious to see her cross that Finish
Line.
Good on her JO!
Proud of your GGD.
Let us know when she crosses the finish line.
I feel the same about all of our a Grands.
God Bless the Youth
ok Christine ran the Half Marathon
She thinks her time was per mile 3:14. She said it was so cold 27!
They gave them blankets at the end of the race and Pizza - she said she was starving. Really proud of her.
The race - that was meant to say
Granddaughter Christine - NOT GGD
Good afternoon.
Putting my fee up for a few.
Michael just messaged me:
I am in Florida now. 6:30 flight to Reagan
He is stateside - whoo hoo!
Thinking of Glo on her way home from her Trip of a Lifetime!
Excuse me! It is 45º here. No wonder I gad to close the window!
Haha. Not gad but had.
Afternoon all.
BBL

Angie took Jordyn and a friend and her mom to Tampa International Mall they had Santa with a Frozen theme I shared on my facebook page it says may not be seen by all blah blah blah Let me know if you can see them if not I can just right click to my computer and post Jordyn wore one of my early Christmas present a dress Frozen naturally LOL
Angie wanted to buy a Christmas dress and I talked her in to the dress since it's a frozen theme made sense and she did look up past events and most had the frozen stuff on Plus buy a dress and only get worn once better this way
I noticed when I shared Angie pic it comes up with a message that all may not be able to see since Angie has it set as her friends

Tues our lo is gonna be 40° is this what I get for bragging on my nice weather LOL
So cool that Bill Elliot son at 18 won the Nationwide series youngest ever

Hello Eagle Pals !!
speaking of Pizza....Pizza Hut has pretty much totally revamped their menu and presentations....

Balsamic Vinegar...wow, I had some of that today on a Vegetarian pizza...Yummers !
Evening all.
JudyE, glad Jordyn and her entourage had a fun time. Guess Frozen is the big movie this right now.
Jo, I took off in a hurry but just could not get to the valley in time for homemade chicken soup. Drat! Maybe next time. lol
Going to send Sandperson on the way early tonight. Satchel is packed and a hot water bottle has been included.
Night light at 11pm. Restful sleep for all.

HODA woe you were up late hope you get some sounds like needed rest from a long day

MARGY I only get to see the eagles cause we know they show up at sundown and sunrise so I just am at the puter those times
Have agreat day everyone!
good morning to all.
wet day here in Nashville. wet and cold. they SAY dusting of snow over night. ithink they are teasing me.

Will finish my coffee and begin preparations to make myself less scary before I venture out to forage for sustenance.
Hoda, please make an effort to do something. Your slow-paced life is just too exhausting. Have you put away the sandals yet?
Ah holiday shopping. Not something we need to do any longer.

I've been visiting with Jenny here this morning. She worked all week so
I AM happy to see her and chat. Only 23 more days and she could be a
grandmother.
I think it was a typo! lol
Good morning! A damp morning. Wish is was heavy rain and not damp. So, what else is new? Lol.
Heading to church soon so need to eat and leave! Will be back later!
Have a great day! Margy!!! So great to see you back on here! Does my heart good!💝

Good Afternoon, Eagle Buds!!!
Love and Prayers for all !!!

Hi, Everyone,
Trying to stay caught up here.
I ♥ us!!

Here locally was on the news that a house that was sort of deserted owners living in hotel while over 100 cats took over their house They have captured 112 so far in 4 days and there are more so they will continue to set traps until they are sure They have arrested the couple and they are in jail still YEAH
The cats are in the walls, attic I guess hole in walls in cabinets .
They are going in with gas mask because of the smell So sad that someone would neglect them They did say they would stop buy throw food in the window and water I sure wish there were stiffer sentences for these crimes
JO thanks for emailing NCTC

Good evening all.
Restful sleep for all.

LOL
Time for bed. Night all! SED!!
Hi, Everyone,
I had fallen asleep in my chair with Miss Emma after dinner, but a really strong wind gust woke us up.
I ♥ us!!
Goodorming my eagle friends.
Happy birthday, Hoda!! Enjoy your day (not that you don't seem to enjoy every day!)
Welcome home to Glo and Michael.
Judie, hope you get good news at your doctor appointment today. Do you notice any difference in your energy level?
Lolly, couldn't Laurel and Joey keep Skippi while you're gone? WE have never boarded our dogs anywhere except with a relative.
Have agreat day all.

Good morning,
Cool and rainy here this morning.
Supposed to get cold tomorrow.
Happy birthday, Hoda!!!
Judy, those poor kitties.
So nice to see Margy's posts. We have missed you dear friend.
Enjoy your Thanksgiving trip, Lolly. Might be plenty snowy in Colorado now. I think that's where you are headed.
Oh my, Janet. I can sympathize with your forgetting to go to a class. I have been known to forget taking Hunter to stuff from time to time. I tell Kathryn she needs to remind me.
Nice to know that Michael is home again. Such good work he does.
Andy, I love to picture you with Emma on your lap. I do hope that Ken is feeling better now.
I think I missed Judie's post about an appointment today, but I hope all goes well.

been up a few. everyone has had breakfast. it was snowing earlier, now I see blue skies in the north. just a nice dusting of pretty white snow. took pix. never know, this might be it!

later ya'll. have a great day.
Hope your appointment goes well, Janet. Will be thinking of you.

Janet, will think of you at your appointment.
Also, Cheetah cubs are to be moved on Wednesday.

Yeah!
Love and Prayers for All !!!
♥♥♥♥♥♥♥
Snow in Ohio--It is early, Kay. I remember making the adjustment when I moved there from the South. Down here, a bit of snow means lots of people stay home and wait for it to melt. Not so much in Ohio. Enjoy your trip.
500 steps! Wow, Judie. That parking situation does sound stupid. Down here, it is more of a situation with traffic on the streets. Route 3 is infamous for traffic jams in the Fredericksburg area.
God Morning to All ♥
I slept later then usual this morning
I feel refreshed but no place to go. 39° and rain - I really don't like wet leaves.
Thinking of Janet and Judie and their dr appointments. Praying for good reports from both gals.
I am so not ready for snow except for the beauty of the snowfall. Mesmerizes you. KAY good thing you got your shovel out yesterday.
Shirley, get that knee checked out.
Good luck bowling - maybe you can stand at the line and roll that ball down the alley!
Andy please don't blow away in those high winds. I can imagine that Emma doesn't like that sound!
Hoda - yes I was up late but Lolly was up later - lol

I think it would be hard to resist playing with Skippi, especially if you love animals enough to work at a kennel.
People at my vet's used to sing to George-- "George of the Jungle."

hi all. am home. had lunch, now coffee. apt went well. dr concludes:
I am very definitely post menopausal. biopsy was uncomfortable but not intolerable. results back at a later date. am trying to find a way to alleviate symptons. upping some meds I am already on. if that does not work, will try something else.
hope miss judie is doing well.

I ♥ us!!

Good early evening to all.
Jo? Jo?
Speaking of food - off to the scullery.

I had a dentist appointment yesterday after school for a cleaning. Didn't go as planned. I have a filling that is "leaking" and needs to be replaced. Also, the hygienist wasn't happy with my gums so back to the periodontist I go for my next cleaning.
Today is another meeting with the Mom who is suing the district. She continues to insist that her daughter qualifies for services that she doesn't. Good morning,
It's cold out there this morning. Knee is a little better, but I still need to get it checked out.
When I looked outside this morning, I saw that Will had parked in the driveway behind me. So I got him to take Hunter to school. Hunter is still not convinced it is cold enough to wear a jacket. Makes me shiver to think about it.
Good morning eagle buds
Cold, cold out there this morning. Wind chill in the single digits. Wm, my cat, is very unhappy that I won't let him outside. He reluctantly used the litter box this morning. . Shirley, my Alaskan grandchildren are the same about coats--don't think they need them yet! Of course it isn't as cold there as it is here! And as of yesterday, they had no snow on the ground, while we have a few inches. Oh well, what can we do?
