Had a good night at Angies last night we watch the movie Girls night out Have to tell you something about the movie The one mom was locked in the closet when the dad came home and guess what she was doing on her lap top Watching a eagle cam was the Southeast cam with babies in it and there was another scene with another mom watching the cam and there was conversation about how relaxing it is to watch and how they seem to know what they are doing compared to humans LOL
I ribbed Angie about it being they mentioned us eagleaddicts on the movies several times
Sissy, Tom and I went to Johnson City, TN, yesterday to my aunt's funeral. We just had visitation at the funeral home and then a graveside service at the cemetery. She looked awful. I probably would have chosen her not to be open but it wasn't my decision. It was great seeing all my cousins, a lot of whom I haven't seen in years.
Thanks to STEVE for the new thread and to JUDY for her beautiful and well deserved feather!
JUDY, was the name of the movie Girls Night Out? Sounds like a good one for we Eagle Fans!
JO, so glad you feel up to picnic prep and like the others, I think the docs plan going forward is wonderful good!
SHAR, so glad you folks were able to have a reunion with your cousins, though what brought you together was a sad occasion. May your aunt rest in peace.
SHIRLEY, keeping Hunter in my thoughts. Sounds like football practice is off the agenda for today, easing up your busy sked just a tad.
SANDI, fingers crossed that "favorite teacher" has finally cooked her goose. If she's not out the door over the latest infraction at least it may take some wind out of her sails.
Same ol', same ol' in this neck of the woods and that's okay!
Congratulations to JudyE on her newest feather. Was the woman in the closet an Eagle Whisperer? Did she look like Jo?
Shirley, sleep study is scheduled for 9/25. Was not successful in finding tye-died lavender silk jammies. May have to resort to using a sheet to create a toga.
Hope Hunter is feeling better by now.
Shar, sorry about the open casket but nice you were able to see family.
Going to put my feet up for a few and contemplate Jo slicing tomatoes for tomorrow.
so, dr. k called. sable does indeed have lymphoma. I told Dr. K that after much thought and consideration, and after putting myself in sable's place, no chemotherapy. I asked myself,at her age, what would I want? the answer, love me, feed me lots of goodies, love me some more, talk a lot to me, and keep me comfortable as long as you can ...and this is what I shall do.
I just read that the average prognosis for non treatment is abut 4 t 6 weeks.
I wll discuss this in a bit when I go see Dr. K. to pick up Sable's meds.
On the brighter side, my oldest daughter seems to feel a little better today. not a lot, but fever is much lower and she can function.
I need to go change clothes and run up to the vet's. will catch up with you all later.
for the moment, walking in sadness, but also with great gratitude. blessed be.
Janet, I'm so sorry about Sable but I absolutely agree with your decision. Enjoy your time with her.
Shirley, I hope Hunter feels better quickly.
My BFF was in school bright and early today - acting like everything was peachy. However, I heard from folks who were in the building yesterday after school that she was seen leaving the conference room sobbing, with her mascara running all down her face, with the teacher's union president (who is a teacher in our building) behind her. Her meeting was with the principal and the director of personnel for the school district. No idea about the end result but she is definitely in some real hot water. More importantly, she has solidified in the mind of the new principal that she is trouble - he has had 4 incidents involving her in the first 2 weeks of school.
Jo, the work on our driveway started on Monday and has been going on all week. Pavers and edge stones to border the gardens are done. Next step is to haul in new blue stone for the driveways and grade it to get water to run AWAY from the house. Will post some photos soon - it looks terrific!
OK, heading outside to get rid of the stone dust that is covering ALL of my bushes and annuals. Later!
Sorry to hear about your dog's prognosis, Janet. I think you are doing the right thing. My neighbor's cat is walking toward the rainbow bridge also. So hard to see a loved pet get to that point.
SED to all
And Happy Birthday celebration to Miracle Michael.
Gray and cool here in Bethany this morning - forecast is for rain. I'm supposed to play tennis at 9am - I hope someone signed up for an indoor court. Then it's off to shop for stone for the driveway - sounds exciting, doesn't it? When the house was built, the builder used blue stone but, now that we're having work done to the driveway, I would prefer to have tan/brown stone to match the house and the new pavers. So stone shopping we go.
Prayers for the needs of everyone on the blog and their 2-legged and 4-legged family members.

Hi,
Congratulations on the lovely feather, Judy!
Thanks for the new thread, Steve.
Well, Hunter is now at home. School nurse called Kathryn and I picked him up. He seems better now, but he did take some pain medicine. We will see.

That should have been Congrats to JUDY on the feather, of course!
Hunter says he wants to go to practice, but not put on his pads or do anything strenuous. Kathryn gets to make that call. I will leave it to her.
