Thanks Steve for the new thread and for the update. We have been wondering!!! Tired of watching other cams while "walking". Will be happy to have ours back!
Steve, thank you for the new thread, and for the update about the cam! I'm really looking forward to having it up and running again! Thanks to you and to Clayton for all you do for us!
Thelma, I'm sure your Birthday was not as happy as it should have been. That couldn't be helped, but I have a suggestion: Why not have a Birthday Week, or even a Birthday Month?! Hey, play it for all it's worth--you've earned the privilege!
Well, gotta run--or rather, gotta go walk. We're going to the Brea Mall to walk today. We've worked up to 4 times around the mall at this point, and have been averaging about 11,000+ steps per day. That's about 5 miles. Does wonders for my blood sugar, not to mention my waistline! Have a great day, everyone. I ♥ us!!!
JO I took the message to the Eagle Peeps, and posted on the live cam page I also sent a message via FB email to the Deb that does picture on the Eagle Cam page since I am still blocked from posting on it Silly reason I say about the concrete patch LOL But I did send her a message to post on the page wanting them to have the latest info on the cam (I got her name on the EagleCam page where she posted picture in the past Thought that would be a good way to tell them
Forgot to tell you all I saw our resident eagles last night at the park Jordyn and I had gone to Freedom Park after we had dinner and they were on the top of the tower I was so excited I see them all year on and off and when I do see them I am thrilled Some say they migrate up north but I have always disagreed with that being I see them on and off So I posted a pic on FB and Sue was so surprised she thought that they migrated also but they don't so now she is so excited also and will keep looking for them My pic are horrible since it was at 845 after sun went down but you still can see its the eagles
Jo, happy to know you are home safe and were enjoying your shortcake. Jealous.
Sandi, this was your last week at school? Summer has truly arrived.
Had lunch with a friend today. Nice to catch up. She's in her 60s and a former student.
Hoda, the RCMP tragedy has been on the news here with updates. Very sad for their families and fellow officers and friends. May the legal process begin.
Isla is still patiently incubating. Three of the five Kestrel babes have fledged. One of the RTH babes has fledged. Decorah still has three all looking longingly over the nest edge and the loons are on hatch watch.
The legal process has already started JUDIE. He is in custody. He will be given all the help he needs. His family is there for him and also his community even though he has breached a great trust. He will get a mental health assessment. He will be provided with a legal team. The evidence and the witnesses and his statements make this a no brainer...he is guilty as charged. We do not believe in the Capital Punishment in Canada THANK GOD. I do not want the State to commit murder on my behalf.I hope he gets rehabilitated in jail. He will be an old man by the time he gets out. He is only 24 years old, and he made some serious mistakes...yet he is our son and one of our citizens and we must all look at how we failed him... A bit heavy here right now.
My very favourite Yoga Retreat Centre across the lake from Nelson has had a fire and the Temple roof has been badly damaged...my heart is broken and I can not fine my breath.
A rather tough day all in all, yet there is beauty and grace and I went to Yoga and I went to two volunteer opportunities and moving one step at a time...
He comes from a family of seven children plus the parents. Attended Catholic Church regularly and was described as "sweet natured". His parents are devout Catholics and home schooled all of their children. He moved out of his family home 18 months ago.Justin was not known to police prior to this incident. OK no one recommended a mental health assessment today and he is remanded till July 10th... Since you all are getting coverage I will not write any more about him. We will bury our officers and support their families and children.
Getting on to say good night. It has been a long day and I am tired!!
We mowed and worked in the yard. After I cleaned up I fell asleep in my chair. Jack had a hard time waking me up. LOL I NEVER take a nap!
We ran some errands and then came home and prepared a special dinner. Yummy!
Tomorrow I celebrate my birthday....which was in January!! LOL church friends celebrate zero birthdays and we are running behind. LOL So, I have a brunch in the morning. Will open and laugh at cards as they are usually (actually the rule) making fun of aging. LOL Also, will receive $ that will go towards a project at church, my choice. I am thinking new outdoor rugs at the two main doors. They need replacing.
Need to get ready for bed. Jack is already sound aslee0 in his chair.
Wow - what a sunny Saturday morning it is - Yesterday and so far today the icy blue sky with fluffy white clouds is breathtaking. Makes you so thankful for the day.
Yesterday our resident doe walked across our yard - she is beautiful. The squirrels and birds are very happy to have us home - my kids did put feed out but they know I put lots and lots of refills! lol
Sharon made a comment about the cams being down and that we possibly could miss the first flights. Well, it could happen as Prez and Capt are now 10 weeks old. I'm just not sure where they are branching as there really aren't many branches. I'm sure they are wingercising and getting lots of air under those wings. Also with the cam angle we may have a hard time knowing when they leave due to the NHZ. I am just really hoping that the cam comes up on Monday. Flag day is a coming and that is when Spunky fledged - I just don't want to miss the event.
Good morning all. Beautiful dy here in western PA. I will try to stay indoors as something has been blooming the last couple of weeks that I seem to be sensitive to. Bah Humbug. Our eaglets hatched the same time as the ones in Pittsburgh, and that group is flapping and moving around a lot, but I don't think anyone has fleged. Hope our cam can be fixed. I am hoping there is nothing but good news from this group for the foreseeable future. We have been on a rather low curve for a while. I hope you have a wonderful day. Prayers for all.
I am happy to say that all the nest I checked That all the babes are in the nest and no fledge and they are about our eagles age some are younger PA nest has three all in nest and away and some wingersizing CRITTER cam all three are on the swing
DNR MN nest has two and both are up \\ the other DNR MN also has two and doing good and awake I guess a hawk as been threatening the nest today talk on the chat FT Vain CO both are up and looking out on the world WHITE ROCK has two little ones and they are doing good to and yes the crow is still bothering them I love the WR nest and it amazes me that it doesn't get as many hits as the others I like the counters on the cams some have over a million hits since onset of those cams but WR doesn't get has many hits Odd to me HODA I hope the cougar stays in the woods no mater which one it be LOL
I was just tinking about that spread sheet that the one gal made up I need to go see if I saved it in my favs just wanted to see if she has kept it current I think it may be on my desktop not lap top
I was just tinking about that spread sheet that the one gal made up I need to go see if I saved it in my favs just wanted to see if she has kept it current I think it may be on my desktop not lap top
Howdeeee! Just got home and got on the computer. Saw that about Dex and my heart is breaking for our Glo. Know the feeling all too well. Just hope Annie greets Dex in a friendly way...!
Had a wonderful morning with friends. Close friends for over 40 years. Feeling blessed indeed. It is wonderful to have such a group of friends who cry and laugh with you. We laughed and laughed this morning talking about things that happened when we were younger.
The loons have a loonlet. Scary few minutes as it was left unattended while parents went after some threat. There is an eagle in the area. Breathing now. Mom has returned. Second egg should hatch soon.
Well this tanned older woman is not interested in any young men... so it must be the four paw variety...
Today also news of two grizzlies sighted in town...
On the up side of things, the boil water advisory has been lifted. So as of today I do not have to boil my water to brush my teeth or to drink water and lemon.
GLO so sorry about DEX. What a good life you gave him.
Welcome home JO. I am sure the critters are thrilled to have you back.
JUDIE I much enjoy your posts.
PAULA should be home today, right?
Great job JACK. Thank you LOLLY I enjoyed the video on FB with the record player.
LYNNE2 A question from FB thought of you right away Sally Seyal ""Question for veterinary friends - can hookworms be "sniffed" and cause an infection? I am trying to convince some people that there has to be contact, not just sniffing Thank you.""
LYNNE2 she just posted this """Sally Seyal There is a neighbor says that dogs catch hookworm by sniffing poop. I say they have to at least touch it, its not airborne."" Just now · Like""'
Judy, yes they can get it by sniffing poop and even from sniffing the ground because usually when they are sniffing, some contact is made and the larvae will get on the skin and they lick their noses. So, it's not airborn, but in an infected spot, it can happen. The larvae can remain inactive on the ground for a LONG time. They can also get it through skin from walking in or laying on infected areas as well. SO CAN HUMANS!!!
and thanks for the answer I will pass it on I googled and and that is also what it said and can remain in ground for 5 years the eggs that is even if the poop is gone
hugs and blessings to all, but especially GLO right now....
very cool LYNNE2....snakes are wonderful in my book because they eat vermin. I don't "do" mice or rats. ewwwwww!
and HODA: a cougar AND bears???? oh my! wild kingdom up there!
hookworms? getting to be wild kingdom on here. where is marlin perkins?????
it was a good day. classes were good and I am very very tired this evening as I normally end at the end of a teaching day.
two of my other reiki masters showed up late in the level 2 class. I love it when they show up.
its been a busy day. I am thinking of you all. just tired. tell the sandman to distribute my share of sleepy dust to someone else, I shall not need it this night.
Janet, glad the day was good. I'll pin a note to the hall closet door telling Sandperson to adjust the sleepy dust distribution.
It would be lovely if the loons and babies stayed around for a little while but they will be gone in a day or two.
Seems I recall our vet. saying that we humans bring some type of worm larvae in on our shoes/clothing, transfers to carpet and animals can become infected. Forget the type of worm.
Hoda, I think you should write the Prime Minister requesting a tourist slogan for Nelson: Nelson, B.C. welcomes you to the land of Brownies, Grizzlies, Cougars, and the amazing Hoda. Have you returned to your flat? How's your friend Kristin?
Shirley, I am in withdrawal and need some Hunter stories.
May not want a snake for a pet but many are helpful. I like those.
Good Evening Eagle Buds. Sandperson left sleepy dust vthis afternoon and gave me a Panda nap until the horse race. I popped up and good old CA Chrome didn't make three :>( . Had an earlier dental appt. which went well, but was mentally taxing at his other office further away.(I wore my eagle shirt for strength!)
Prayers for Glo. Dex has had a long and well cared for life and brought much joy.
Before the sandperson returns, I must put some osprey pics in the nook. I asked permission of one of our new naturalists to use them, and he said of course. When I told him where they were going he said to mention his name~~~~he attended some classes at NCIC!!!! (Staff there might know him) He is Matthew Felperin and his pics must have been taken from the boat! Be back if Google lets me!
JUDIE I have respect for the Office of The Prime Minister but not for the current occupant...I make it a habit to only write to tell him how absolutely out of touch he is and how damaging his policies are for the environment. If he heard we had cougars and grizzlies and clean air and water he will want to sell them to China and pollute them...do not get me started.
JUDIE No still at the Lake House. My friends return Tuesday. I will sleep in my flat as of tomorrow and come here during day time to check on things and make sure the place is proper for them.
What a wonderful house sitter you have been, Hoda! You are a jewel!!
Glass of wine was much earlier and just now having a G&T, no idea why I stuttered! Just horrified at the loon calls, I guess. At first I was enjoying the calls, but then I realized they were stress calls and I got stressed. Stress causes stuttering!☺
Back again. Got the pictures in the Nook. So all who have hit the hay can see tomorrow. I hope all the people living on the water are having a wonderful time in Paradise!! Pleasant Feather Dreams ;>)
Goodorming my eagle friends on this beautiful Sunday morning.
So so sorry to read about Glo losing Dex.
Attended a community bull roast yesterday - as treasurer, I have been collecting the money for the past 4 weeks. 260 were expected, about 235 attended. The weather was perfect, the food was good as was the company.
Tennis for me this morning, then watching a tennis match where the young lady who has stayed at our house for the past 3 years is playing to make it into the main draw for the pro tournament here in Bethany that starts next weekend. Lena won both of her matches yesterday but has one more to win this morning to make it into the tournament. Fingers are crossed for her today.
good morning to all. rain has moved thru, but more on the way. I see this one is moving thru texas, lolly, are you getting rain????
classes were good yesterday but per the usual, I was wiped out. today class is easier. 10 to about 3. my computer and printer were on strike yesterday so I have to print certificates tonight and mail them tomorrow. no problem. this I can do.
hope you all have a lovely day. holding you close in my heart...
I would like to thank all of you for your thoughts and prayers for the loss of Buddy this week. It is really tough, as you all know. As I'm writing this I'm thinking I may have already thanked you all. Oh well, it doesn't matter, we can always us another hug, love and thanks. I'm just so glad some of you met him. I got a card from Magpie this week. She reminded me of when that was. I can't believe it was 2007.
Hi Thelma - great to hear from you over here. 2007 WOW! Good ole' Hot Dog Buddy at the Nest tree. ♥
I love the loon cam but prefer to watch with the speakers on. Lots of heart failure watching Little Looney all by himself in the water. Larry's Blog is such good reading.
Loretta I am going to your Nook to see the pics. I just know they will be great.
Good morning! Thank you, Thelma. Buddy, Annie, and Dex have all gone but what wonderful memories. Still can not get over how empty the house seems to be. I guess that is how it is when you have only one pet. We will adopt soon. Just hope I am up to adjusting to a kitty again. It has been a long time!
Yes, Janet, we received almost a half inch of rain shortly after we got up this morning. It fell all over my yard!!! LOL Bigger chance of rain this evening. Certainly hope for more. They say we need over 17 inches to break the drought. Do know that will not happen this summer, but if we could just get and inch every two weeks, I would be the happiest person on earth! I must say after the rain we have had recently our yard is looking fantastic. Come stroll around with me!!
Time to go eat a bite of breakfast and then off to church. Covered dish lunch today, have a cake ready to take.
OH home from work as if you didn't know and my feet are killing me I don't know what to do Those shoes I bought originally hurt my feet sort of busied the tops of my feet now they still hurt after I took them back and got several other pair I think I will wear my old shoes tomorrow and go from there
Yard work done for today. No nearly as extensive as Lollypaloozing but I'm tired.
Loonlette #2 has arrived. Dad has it securely in place. Mom and #1 are in the water. I may not want to watch much more as I have learned loonlettes are fierce competitors.
Paula, hope the day continued to be fun. So nice your osprey chicks hatched.
Jo, thank you for answering my question about Michael. Wishing him safe travels as always. Also, suspect you may be a contributor to the loon blog?
Good Evening Eagle Buds. This afternoon I changed the hummer food and then I realized I've hardly seen any (one at flowers) since they showed up first of May!? Maybe they just travelled on and didn't nest here?! Really surprising. Anybody seen any?
Pretended I was Lolly today. Still have more cleaning to make the house spotless for my friends. I am moved back to the flat. Happy to be home. Lots of gratitude to have it and also to have stayed here for three months. Off to yoga and some groceries for the flat. It threatened to rain all day but nothing yet... Watered the pots in the yard. The lawn mower and the gardener will be here tomorrow. They are good people and hard workers. A joy to have encountered them. The neighbours thanked me for being a good neighbour and said prayer wishes on the phone. On the whole a positive experience.
Someone asked about humming birds, Nature Nut I think, I saw some here even though I do not have a feeder. I hope they are well where you are. MEGAN always sees them too...I think she posted pictures.

"Be kinder than necessary, for everyone is fighting some kind of battle."
Heard from Laurel several times today. They now have wifi at the cabin in CO. So she posted on fb but also sent me several texts. Did not mention her arm and that is good. No news maybe good news.
Going to say good night. News comes on soon, want to watch it and the weather.
Night all! SED!
Oh, and made another cake tonight. Another luncheon tomorrow. This time the retired teachers organization! Nite!!
Well I hope you are all safe and sound back east. The weather sounds horrid. I am back at the flat, unpacked, laundry done, now wanting to do my spring cleaning since I did not do it while at the Lake house. I will stop there tomorrow to make sure all is proper. I am happy to be in my own place.
Sweet Dreams All. I think the Sandman must have gone to the Lake House.
Wanted to put another bag of garbage out in the bin tonight and thought better of it since I am back in Cougar and Grizzly neighbourhood.
Goodorming my eagle friends. Hoping the cam gets fixed today and the storms in WV didn't damage the nest. No rain here during the night, though it was in the forecast. Storms expected today - we will see.
Loretta, I am still seeing hummers at all 3 of my feeders but not as many as earlier. I suspect the females are nesting and are otherwise occupied so they're staying closer to home. Plus there are more flowers out now for them to get nectar from.
Lolly, glad Laurel made it to CO - hope she enjoys herself. Cook at a camp doesn't sound fun to me!
Paula, how is Larry feeling?
Wonder if Dana's school year is over yet?
Judy, what a shame you are having so much trouble with your new shoes! When you work a job that requires standing all day, that's a big deal.
Judy, I was wondering the same thing - has anyone at NCTC seen branching or flight from either of our eaglets. Also, I wonder if the cam that was pointed at the tree is able to be activated? We might actually get a better view of our eagles' comings and goings.
good Monday morning to all! it was a busy weekend...classes were good. met many lovely people. a couple really resonated within my spirit, I think we shall be in touch again and perhaps often.
what I have kept in my heart is this was my last class to teach....at least for a long while. my buddy amie is stepping in to teach the final 3 classes of the year.
I love my classes, but find myself not looking forward to them any more. while I am there and in the midst of it, I do enjoy myself, but I am needing a break. so I am helping my friend to get the things she needs to teach completely on her own and I will step back, at least for a while.
in my heart, even though it is hard, it is the right thing to do, but my heart is still a little sad over it. such mixed emotions. but I have to admit, mostly, it is a sigh of relief...
its raining yet again. and although I love the rain, was rather hoping to have some pool time and go out in the boat tomorrow. that doesn't look as if it will happen. hmmmm. I still have plenty to do, so it is fine. just not what I WANTED to do.
HODA: you appeared in my dream last night. I dreamed that we met. the thing I took away, aside from the joy of meeting you, was how beautiful you are...both in spirit (which we already know) and in physical form....just thoughtyou would like to know.
going on a new adventure today: something I've wanted to do for a while acupuncture. I am getting Chelsea to go with me. I am excited about this. I have heard nothing but positive results for people.
have a beautiful day my friends. I hope everyone has a lovely day....stay safe in this weather....(((hugs))))
Had a dream last night. I dreamed I was back teaching school. I couldn't get into my classroom because another teacher was teaching there. When I walked into the room, I realized that I had no plans for the day. Then I saw that the room had been rearranged and there were no desks for the students, just a lot of chairs. It got worse from there . . .
Going to spend a bit of time listening to an audiobook I have been listening to in the car. At least as soon as I figure out how to get it going in the computer.
Well, Lolly, I am happy you had some rain. I am NOT happy with Lollypaloozing the yard. lol Cannot imagine how you and Jack survive all the physical labor.
Hoda, glad you are back in your flat and thought not to put outside anything that might attract unfriendly critters. Will make sure the Sandperson has adjusted the GPS for you flat.
Jo, hope you return dancing and prancing on your toes.
Janet, happy you had a nice weekend but you do sound as if you have a little burnout. A break will do you good.
Loon family has gone its way. Isla is so sad to watch as she is still incubating. The 5 kestrel babes have fledged as have the hawks. Bears seem to be okay and doing bear stuff.
Hoping we will be able to see Prez and Capt. soon.
Have a request. For those who have experienced the pain/discomfort preceding hip replacement, if you don't mind, please describe symptoms for me. Thank you in advance.
JudyE, you might want to go to a place that can actually measure your feet (like the olden days of childhood). Feet change over time. You may need a different size/width.
Speaking of bears!--- Hubby spotted a yearling when he came off the I-70 ramp #49 as he headed home. Da bear ran into the weeds and there are fields down there. I just don't see how he is ever going to make it! :(
Ooooooo - Twinkle Toes is stuttering. And just what did you do at the Dr.'s office? Jo, glad you're home and seeing the bear would be so awesome. Maybe it won't try to cross the road.
Showered and reasonably clean. No longer smell of mulch, dirt, and anti-vegetable eaters.
Well, there are a lot of us stuttering. Hee hee hee!
I am a firm believer in keep moving, Judie and always have been a hard worker. Probably push myself too hard sometimes. Have been retired 14 years now and still feel guilty if I sit and read during the day. A lot of my friends are now line dancing. They have been pushing me to join, but my yard work comes first. I enjoy it so very much!!
Jack has contacted lawn service today to take care of it while we are gone next week. Leaving Monday, the 16th, and returning probably Wed the 25th. Need to get someone to water a couple of pots. Hope our neighbor girls will be home!
Home from work and also went to Shoe Carnival and exchanged for the exact shoes I had before but not the same color So lets see how this goes
The one salesman told me I should have stuck with the Asics shoes that I got in the first place and put up the the pain for a week or so because they are the best shoes and put your feet in the proper place and the express no pain no gain he says because all these years your feet are in the wrong shoe I do have the issue with the toe going over to the side and those shoe have a brace for that reason but NO NOT me I don't do pain for weeks He said it took him 3 weeks with pain
They had no issue with me bringing them back He told me that here in Fl especially with the elderly some peeps have been back up to 8 times exchanging I hope this will be my last time
I will give these shoes a try if they bother my feet I will take them back for a refund The funny thing each time I return the shoes I end up getting a credit because the shoes I am exchanging are cheaper that the ones I bought This time I got a 35 credit because they were on sale same price as the last one but on sale I thought I was doing a even exchange OBTW my left foot didn't hurt hardly at all today and my right just some but that was the foot that has always had the little toe issue of rolling over and that part does hurt big time and that was the reason I went to get new ones When I put these shoe on and walked around for a few min at the store my little toe didn't hurt so keep fingers and all your toes and legs crossed these will be better I really don't want to take them back
SANDI I just asked STEVE on facebook if he or anyone has seen any branching or fledgling yet I said we on the blog was curious that we had spoke of it this am
Oh I should have asked about the other cam also maybe really don't want to be pushy LOL
Just on facebook in regards to the NORFOLK nest EOA Eagle ON ""Norfolk Botanical Garden Eagle Alliance June 9, 2014 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: U.S. FISH AND WILDLIFE SERVICE WITHHELD IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT NORFOLK BOTANICAL GARDEN EAGLES Norfolk, Virginia – The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS) released portions of an internal document previously withheld from the public that shows the agency agreed with many of the claims being made by Eagle On Alliance (EOA) in litigation challenging the decision to remove the nests of the eagles at the Norfolk Botanical Garden. Portions of meeting notes taken during an Eagle Airport Programmatic Permits meeting of January 31, 2012 were withheld from the public record as “privileged” because according to the agency, the information was “staff deliberation about on-going policy discussion of projects and processes not involved in this litigation.” This clearly was not the case. Two months after EOA’s attorneys challenged the redacted information, the FWS has now released a document which shows that agency personnel stated that (1) “removing the nest won’t solve the problem,” (2) the “eagle pair in the area would keep other eagles away, so it was better to leave the nest, and have two eagles rather than take it down and have 15 eagles” and that (3) the FWS recognized that it was required by law to prepare an “Environmental Assessment” before approving the nest destruction - all points that EOA has made to the City of Norfolk, FWS and the Court in its various legal papers, but which FWS has denied. One of EOA’s main points has been that FWS should have done a detailed Environmental Assessment to determine the potential impacts of additional eagles moving into the area as a result of displacing the territorial pair before selecting a course of action. And yet, to date, nine nests have been removed from Norfolk Botanical Garden, the NBG eagles are still present in the garden and another transient bald eagle was killed at Norfolk International Airport in January of this year. Meanwhile, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service was withholding relevant information that clearly should have been released to EOA as part of the administrative record. This new information demonstrates that the knee-jerk reaction of removing the NBG eagles nests has not worked, will not work and other options should finally be considered – such as implementing an effective wildlife mitigation program on Norfolk International Airport property that would protect the flying public from ALL wildlife hazards, including the NBG eagles.
good afternoon to all. a quiet day here in Nashville.
Getting caught up on housework....but certainly not anything intense.
Chelsea and I did acupuncture today. I like the set up that they have. They have a very large room with comfy recliners, blankets (but we brought our own) and little eye covers. The music is soft, lighting low, and you can go to sleep and stay as long as you like.
The fees are $15 to $35. Period. You decide how much you will pay.
Chelsea was pretty anxious so we didn't stay very long.
I found it to be relaxing. I could have gone to sleep, but did not because I was worried about Chelsea. She did okay and finally settled down, but then she had a foot cramp.
I think I will go back. I rather liked it.
It did not hurt. A couple of the needles were uncomfortable going in but it was quick and once they were in,, I could not feel them at all. In fact, most of them I had no sensation as they went in.
More rain moving our way. Tornado watch west of us. *sigh* We have ha about 3 " of rain in 3 days. I love the rain, but some sunny days would be appreciated as well....
Hubby had to drive 1 1/2 hrs up west to a viewing and so I called son and dil to invite myself over to dinner. TACOS - hubby doesn't enjoy them but I love Tacos. Delicious... ♥

Judy, I would not accept the notion that you need to endure pain from your shoes. In my mind, that is just someone trying to sell you bad shoes.
Thanks for the update on the NBG eagles. I agree with Judie. It is a sad situation.
Thanks, Judie, for the updates on Ilsa. I do not always have time to keep up with all of the nests. It seems like I am always driving Hunter one place or another, and I am just glad that I can do it for him, grumpy teenager that he is.
Laurel posted that the gang of kids had gone to the movies. She was sitting on the deck and several deer came close. She was loving it. Last July a group of women at the house had a bear visit. That is what Laurel is really wanting! Here bear, bear, bear! That is for Laurel and for the Queen. Or is she just a wannabe!
Wonderful day today, did not turn on the AC. High of 79 and the humidity is going down. Whooo hoo!
Eyes are watering. Time to close them. Night all! SED!!
Goodorming my eagle friends - last school day with kids - YAY!! And it's field day, but it's cloudy and rain is in the forecast so field day may be inside.
Need to call the vet today for Bella - she was shaking her ears off and on last night. She must have something going on inside one of them.
we had a severe thunderstorm sweep thru just prior to bed time, but it wasn't bad. at least, it wasn't bad here....and that is fine. more rain and storms today however.
Olivia and Amelia played in the pool til 8 p.m. last night. they were indeed water logged! :) and they are BOTH still asleep. not surprising for Olivia, but Mia ususally pops out of bed about 6 to 7 a.m.
JUDIE: that's why I could try this acupuncture, the price is "right". Because they have more than 1 client at a time, quite literally, a room full of people in recliners....they keep their costs down. Everyone was respectful of the space....and you can stay as long as you like!
HODA: hmmmmm, that is something I never have thought about. interesting. I of course do look for meanings in dreams.....but that is a new one.
Will have to contemplate that.
No bears here in Nashville. Do not search here. lol.
I am getting a massage this morning, then I must finish the housework and prep for work for the rest of the week. This feels "more" like a day off than yesterday. yesterday, errands were my chore.
Hoping everyone has a lovely day. Light, love, healing and smiles to all! (((hugs)))
When I got up this am they were still sore on the top and now if I move a certain way i now it still hurts But doesn't hurt to walk in these shoes Now they are the same shoes I had before but with neon orange on the side and shoe laces I am buying gray and black laces I look down and see the neon and laugh to myself 64 years old don't like neon on their feet LOL
I still can feel my little toe that is always the issue with old shoes but its not hurting worse than yesterday lots better than yesterday So I think these two pairs will be keepers
Hi, Everyone, I've been busy again, and mostly MIA. Oh, my, SO sorry to hear that Dex has crossed the Rainbow Bridge, Glo! I know you gave him a wonderful life, but losing a fur baby is always such a heartbreak!!! Prayers & hugs!!
I guess that was QUITE a storm that passed through Shepherdstown over the weekend! Hope everyone is OK after that! It sure will be nice to have the live cam up and working again.
Judy, I'm glad you may have found the right shoes at last! I have all kinds of trouble getting a good fit too. Sometimes I try men's shoes. They tend to be made wider, and give my feet more "wiggle room." The hiking boots that I wear to go walking are men's size 9, I think. The size is on the inside of the tongue on a label, and it's worn off now. My baby toes tend to roll over to the side, because each one of them has been broken in the past. It helps to put a wide bandaid around each of them so I don't develop blisters. I really should start looking for some new shoes for walking soon, before the pair I have now gets too worn out.
Well, need to go get a bite of lunch. Ken went and met someone he used to work with for lunch today. Guess they had another layoff last Friday--40 more people! Ken's actually glad he's not still working there now. No fun waiting for the other shoe to drop, so to speak!
I'll be back later to say goodnight. Hope everyone is having a terrific day! I ♥ us!!!
Early dismissal today. He got home at about 1:00. Was supposed to mow the front lawn. Started watching TV, assuring me that he would do it later. I knew that it would be raining later, and that he had an appointment at 3:00.
Still no mowing done when we went to the appointment. He fussed that he needed to mow when I said I wanted to go to Wegman's. Clouds gathering, but I really wanted to pick up a few items at Wegman's.
Got home from Wegman's. Very cloudy, but not raining. Hunter returned to the TV. I reminded. Kathryn called and reminded.
Hunter watched some more TV. Insisted that it was raining, even though I could not tell. He said that it would be my fault if he got struck by lightning.
More TV.
Well, now it is pouring and the grass is still not mowed. I even tried to get him to start the mower so I could do the mowing, but he said that I might fall in the ditch and hurt myself. This child requires patience.
I will have to say that when Will was younger, I resorted to buying a key-start mower so that I could mow when I wanted to, but it has stopped working, and Will bought another one of those pull-start mowers that I simply cannot start.
I posted something on facebook asking STEVE about the eaglets Had anyone seen them on campus branching etc and He just answered me here is what he said only in regards to the cam not to the eagle but sounds good
Steven Chase June 10 at 5:59pm
sorry, I am on travel out west. The cam will hopefully be back online wednesday, the repair parts have come in
""Thanks bunches I relayed the message to the Blog and on the Momster Eaglet FB page You are the best Thank Clayton everyone involved in getting it back up and running We were just wondering if they had done any branching and Sandi mentioned on the blog Asking if the other cam was still in place the view of the tree would be great this time of the year to see the coming and goings Just curious !""
I just sent a email to everyone on my email list that the cam should be fixed tomorrow I am so excited just had to let the world know will put on FB also the eagle peeps and Live Eagle cam page and I email Deb from the Eagle Cam page that I have been blocked from and guess what I now know why I was blocked it wasn't the cement on the tree comment Here is her comment to me in email """Posted. It was because you called me someone else's name the Debbie from Hancock.""" This is what I sent her back ""Debi I am so sorry about mixing you all up being I don't know either of you personally just through the eagle cam Please forgive me for the error and is it possible to unblock me?? GOOD NEWS from Steven Chase June 10 at 5:59pm sorry, I am on travel out west. The cam will hopefully be back online wednesday, the repair parts have come in"" This way she gets the message on the cam since I can't post on it so we will see what she answers me with
ALSO from FB on the Maine eaglets and there is a cute picture of them with this comment """" """ Avian Haven (do you remember the eaglets from the Bangor nest? Avian Haven: Bangor rescued Eaglets update 6/10/14. Their mom was released successfully last week!!!. They are looking great!) BAEA 215, 216 Kenduskeag Avenue Eaglets The eaglets have a new larger nest where they have more room to move. It’s on a platform which has is now closer to the open doors into the adjacent flight cage. From here they can see several other eagles in the flight cage, who tend to hang out at the same end where the eaglets are. The two lead-poisoned birds – Dresden and Addison - are there, still recovering, plus the juvenile from Biddeford Pool.
Shirley, you are a patient grandmom. Snatch away the remote, unplug the television(s), and provide a bowl of gruel for dinner. Continue until grass has been mowed by grandson.
Thank you for the nest update JudyE. Much appreciated. Hope tomorrow is the magic day.
JUDIE hope the hip gets better pronto So good to hear MARGY is doing well thanks for the message JO and I always forget about Yahoo will have to remember it the next time
Security system is armed please be sure to use your code if out past curfew
Well I'm calling it a day SED ♥AOYP See ya in the am ☼ at Sycamore Sunrise Cyber Cafe Bless this Nest and all ♀ ♥ ♂ whom watch it at Sycamore Palace Healing thoughts for those in need
"Be kinder than necessary, for everyone is fighting some kind of battle."
Loved Sandi's video! What an awesome send off! Kids loved it! However, bet it is hard for the drivers to get them to calm down for a safe drive home.
Oh, Shirley, what a Hunter story. Off with the TV!!!
We are starting to get ready for our trip. Bought some food and items today. We get the trailer tomorrow. Jack has a few things he wants to do.
Looks like we might go to Dallas Saturday and spend the night. This will be our Father's Day celebration with Michael. That was we can get home and finish getting ready to leave Monday early. We will be with Laurel all week.
Judie....Hoda posted a story on fb but told us not to tell you. Guess what.....I'm telling. Seems that a bear broke into a house in Nelson and was found in the kitchen eating cookies. She "claims" it was NOT brownies. LOL
Okay...a sentence of mine makes no sense. Duh! Supposed to be we are spending the night Satureay so we can get home early Sunday to get ready to leave Monday.
Judie, so sorry you are having trouble with your hip. I sometimes have a hip ache but at present it is no problem. It is my elbows that hurt. I really think it is something I do while working in the yard that causes it.
Goodorming my eagle friends. Today is my very last work day for 10 weeks - hooray! Glad y'all liked the video Dan posted of our kids leaving at the end of the day yesterday. The vice principal (a female), one of the counselors, the PE teacher, the health teacher, and one of the social studies teachers (all male) had the water guns. Many teachers got squirted as well - a good time was had by all!
Judy, I hope your "news" really happens today. If it takes much longer to fix the cam, there may be no need to.
Jo, Baby Roberts is due on 6/22. Everyone is getting very anxious. BTW, Brian has informed us he probably will not be leaving the US again until next summer when all 3 of them go. He also informed us that he won't be going to Munich for his next post - things have changed.
Couldn't get poor Bella to the vet yesterday - they were booked. She's still shaking her ears - we go this afternoon.
Oh ho! So, Hoda is keeping secrets from Judie. Lolly is Judie's confidential informant. Ah, the blog world is a murky and mysterious place.
A bear with a paw in a cookie jar? More likely a brownie jar. Or, has Hoda had her hand in the "cookie" jar? Some brownies have been known to have hallucinatory effects. At least she had the sense to disguise herself as a bear.
Must return to the place known as Nelson to restore some Jufie order. Beware. Evil Jufie is making plans.
Perhaps the evil Jufie will visit my abode today and spirit away all TV remotes. Thanks to modern technology, the TVs do not work without the remotes.
Yes, I am Grandma, and sometimes put up with a lot of "stuff," but I did not raise 4 children without learning a thing or two. Sometimes I sit by and observe, but that does not mean I do not know what is going on. :)
Oh my, Shirley. No criticism intended. Just fun to think up tactical possibilities and imagine you just sitting and watching tv or blogging as Hunter frets. Apology offered.
Oh, no apology necessary. But I will need the services of the evil Jufie. Though I will not tell Hunter about her. He would truly think Grandma has lost her marbles.
Good morning to all ♥ Around 4am a storm awakened me but it was fast moving and the lightning and thunder didn't last too long.
The video of the closing day at your school Sandi was fun to watch. It created a desire I'm sure in the students to return again next year for the fun. lol
Da Bear eating baked goods in the Nelson resident's kitchen - WHOA! Even more enlightening in the article was How Not to Approach a Cougar! Wow - Hoda you best have read all of those instructions!

Good morning.
Thank you Steve for the fresh weekend thread and the update on the cam. We all sincerely appreciate what you and Clayton do to keep us happy.
Shirley, congrats on the feather. If you decide to bowl next fall, it should make a lovely good-luck talisman.
Still need to read back from last night's comments. Have an appt. at noon so will come back later.
Have a wonderful morning.
Good morning! Out to mow but wanted to say hi!
Thanks Steve for the new thread and for the update. We have been wondering!!! Tired of watching other cams while "walking". Will be happy to have ours back!
THANKS FOR THE NEW THREAD STEVE AND CAMERA INFO

Thank YOU Steve for the fresh new thread with the fantastic message about the cam.
Coming home today.. :(
I need to read old thread for any am comments
Have a good RED Friday

BIG BIRDS
Good Morning, Everyone,
Steve, thank you for the new thread, and for the update about the cam! I'm really looking forward to having it up and running again! Thanks to you and to Clayton for all you do for us!
Thelma, I'm sure your Birthday was not as happy as it should have been. That couldn't be helped, but I have a suggestion:
Why not have a Birthday Week, or even a Birthday Month?!
I ♥ us!!!
Thank you STEVE SHIRLEY CLAYTON.
Beauteous Day here.
Blessed Be.
I have a bad feeling we will miss the fledge. :(
Good morning my eagle budlets.
I LOVE US!
JO I took the message to the Eagle Peeps, and posted on the live cam page
I also sent a message via FB email to the Deb that does picture on the Eagle Cam page since I am still blocked from posting on it Silly reason I say about the concrete patch LOL But I did send her a message to post on the page wanting them to have the latest info on the cam (I got her name on the EagleCam page where she posted picture in the past Thought that would be a good way to tell them
Forgot to tell you all I saw our resident eagles last night at the park Jordyn and I had gone to Freedom Park after we had dinner and they were on the top of the tower I was so excited I see them all year on and off and when I do see them I am thrilled Some say they migrate up north but I have always disagreed with that being I see them on and off So I posted a pic on FB and Sue was so surprised she thought that they migrated also but they don't so now she is so excited also and will keep looking for them
My pic are horrible since it was at 845 after sun went down but you still can see its the eagles
I am home safe and sound eating my strawberry shortcake!
BBL
Hi all - welcome home, Jo!
Expecting company for the weekend - have been cleaning a bedroom & bathroom and putting sheets on the bed.
Later all!
Good evening.
Going to channel surf and enjoy my iced tea. BBL
Well good afternoon almost evening all.
He is likely looking at forty years in Jail. I hope he finds a way to spend them wisely...very sad for his parents and for his siblings.
Very sad story Hoda
Yes, Hoda, a very sad story. So pleased the young man will receive an evaluation and help.
Been a quiet evening for me. Watched some Cold Case.
Sandperson is fussy around in his closet and packing a satchel. Will be on the way soon.
Night light is on. Hope JudyE will set our alarm. Restful sleep for all.
Goodnight to all ♥
Watched some TV - talked to my kids -
now I am headed to la la land.
TTUT
SED & AOYP
Good night
God Bless Us All.
Night all! SED!!
Good Morning Eagle Buds
forgot to say goodnight after getting home from kids house
good morning to all. its been a busy week.
classes this weekend. will be busy with that, but am off Monday and Tuesday.
hope everyone has a lovely day and great weekend.
holding each of you close in my heart and thoughts.
Oh great!
Cougar spotted near my flat!
Good morning.
I hope it is smart enough to go back in the woods.
Last year we destroyed one in the same area.
Blessed Be.
Beautiful Day. Enjoy it everyone.
Good morning.
Hoda, are you referring to an animal Cougar or to an older woman looking for a younger man? Hmmmm, into the woods they go.
Janet, hope the classes are interesting.
May go to the Farmer's market this morning. Not much else on the agenda.
Sunny with a bright blue sky. Wishing the same for all of you this morning.
Good morning,
Watching the Maya Angelou service from Wake Forest this morning.
Back from purchasing some probably useless deer repellent.
Been watching the Decorah eaglets. They are close in time to Prez and Capt. All three are still in the nest. We may get lucky and see our two fledge.
HOWDY on lunch Not to many comment to get caught up on
Headin on over to FB and check out other eagle cams
I am happy to say that all the nest I checked That all the babes are in the nest and no fledge and they are about our eagles age some are younger
PA nest has three all in nest and away and some wingersizing
CRITTER cam all three are on the swing
DNR MN nest has two and both are up \\
the other DNR MN also has two and doing good and awake I guess a hawk as been threatening the nest today talk on the chat
FT Vain CO both are up and looking out on the world
WHITE ROCK has two little ones and they are doing good to and yes the crow is still bothering them I love the WR nest and it amazes me that it doesn't get as many hits as the others I like the counters on the cams some have over a million hits since onset of those cams but WR doesn't get has many hits Odd to me
HODA I hope the cougar stays in the woods no mater which one it be LOL
OH OH the PA nest I only see on I guess on a branch now
I was just tinking about that spread sheet that the one gal made up I need to go see if I saved it in my favs just wanted to see if she has kept it current I think it may be on my desktop not lap top
I was just tinking about that spread sheet that the one gal made up I need to go see if I saved it in my favs just wanted to see if she has kept it current I think it may be on my desktop not lap top
now two are in the pa nest but one still must be branching or hiding behind the tree trunk Will check in after work Later gator
the PA eaglet was just hiding behind the one standing on the rail LOL
FB Peeps - go to Glo's page. Dexter has crossed the Rainbow Bridge and is now with Daphine.
Sympathy for Glo having to say goodbye to Dex. She provided a long and loving life.
Lolly, so nice you had a fun morning with your friends.
BBL
I am going to take a nap.
LYNNE2 A question from FB thought of you right away
Sally Seyal
""Question for veterinary friends - can hookworms be "sniffed" and cause an infection? I am trying to convince some people that there has to be contact, not just sniffing
Thank you.""
Well, curse words! Wanted California Chrome to win the Triple Crown.
Thanks, Judie for letting us know about the loonett! Need to go check it out.
Bottom of the 8th and TCU is ahead 3-2. Goooo TCU!!!
LYNNE2 she just posted this """Sally Seyal There is a neighbor says that dogs catch hookworm by sniffing poop. I say they have to at least touch it, its not airborne.""
Just now · Like""'
Hope the deer repellent works, Judie.
So sorry about Dex, Glo. He was much loved and well cared for.
Little Loonie is peeking out from under Momma! So cute!
Hookworm is BAD.
Evening all! I was weeding around the kennel today and found a baby ratsnake!
WOW, what a week....Buddy, Annie, and now Dex have gone. There is that creep thing about happenings in threes.
WHAT DID YOU DO WITH THE SNAKE LYNNE2
and thanks for the answer I will pass it on I googled and and that is also what it said and can remain in ground for 5 years the eggs that is even if the poop is gone
good evening all.
hugs and blessings to all, but especially GLO right now....
very cool LYNNE2....snakes are wonderful in my book because they eat vermin.
I am thinking of you all. just tired. tell the sandman to distribute my share of sleepy dust to someone else, I shall not need it this night.
hugs and love to all
I have been seeing the little loon head sticking out from under mom's wing. Cute.
Little loon is out. Looks like there is a ruler in the nest. Little loonie is pecking it.
Evenin' all.
Left my cam on and suddenly I could hear the loon calling. The baby is in the water!
Good late evening to all ♥
Just returned from the dance recital and my ggd were fantastic - danced like the rhythm was born in them.
Michael came on home here for the night after the recital. I will now
play catch up with him.
Going to close down for the night.
Can't believe the still cam has been down since May 8 and tomorrow is June 8.
Everyone take care and sleep well.
SED and AOYP ♥
Oh, good! Baby Loonie managed to get back to the nest!! The calling has stopped. Whew!!
Oh, good! Baby Loonie managed to get back to the nest!! The calling has stopped. Whew!!
So, so, so cute! He traveled across the nest, occasionally touching beaks with momma an then dove under her. Glad to be home! LOL
Lolly's stuttering. Did YOU drink some of Shirley's wine, Lolly?
Yes, near had cardiac arrest with that chick in the water and Dad screeching for Mom. Hope it's in for the night.
Good night, Jo. So happy the recital was a success and enjoyable. Hi to Michael. Have I missed out - is he going to Haiti?
Feeling tired tonight. Going to watch the early news then head to the pillows.
Sandperson has made the requested adjustment, satchel is packed, leaving early tonight.
Night light is on. Restful sleep for all.
Good evening all.
Beautiful evening here.
Good night all
God Bless Us All.
Sleepy.
Stopping by to say good night.
Judie, I will try to put together some Hunter stories ASAP. :)
Good Morning Eagle Buds
Have a Great Sunday
Have a good day all.
good morning to all. rain has moved thru, but more on the way.
Good morning my eagle peeps.
Lolly I am so sorry for your loss of Annie this weeks. Prayers and hugs out to you and Jack.
Good Sunday Morning to all ♥
Hi Thelma - great to hear from you over here. 2007 WOW! Good ole' Hot Dog Buddy at the Nest tree. ♥
I love the loon cam but prefer to watch with the speakers on. Lots of heart failure watching Little Looney
all by himself in the water.
Have a great Sunday and I will see you later.
Morning all!
Busy busy here..8 guests with 3dogs...
Awesome weather ..fish are biting...kids been swimming ..
Good new on the cam..cannot wait.
Gave Glo my condolences on FB
WILL CATCH up later..have a lovely day whatever is on your dance card...
Oh the osprey chicks here hatched last weekend..Mama and Poppy O have been busy catching fish.
Good afternoon,
Been watching the loon cam today. Little loonie trying to get out of the water but having trouble finding the ramp he is supposed to use.
Good afternoon - we have had a few raindrops - maybe more later on.
We were shopping with Michael as he prepares to go to Haiti next week.
Stopped and ate a very early dinner at the Outback - later some strawberry shortcake for me.
Going over to the Loon Cam to see if that second egg has hatched.
Lil Loon is in the water they grow up to fast I think Mom is still on egg I guess
OH home from work as if you didn't know and my feet are killing me
I don't know what to do Those shoes I bought originally hurt my feet sort of busied the tops of my feet now they still hurt after I took them back and got several other pair I think I will wear my old shoes tomorrow and go from there
from the chat they had another hatch
Yard work done for today. No nearly as extensive as Lollypaloozing but I'm tired.
Loonlette #2 has arrived. Dad has it securely in place. Mom and #1 are in the water. I may not want to watch much more as I have learned loonlettes are fierce competitors.
Paula, hope the day continued to be fun. So nice your osprey chicks hatched.
Jo, thank you for answering my question about Michael. Wishing him safe travels as always. Also, suspect you may be a contributor to the loon blog?
Off to find some sustenance. BBL
6 tenths of an inch of rain this morning. No more, so far!
Watching TCU baseball, go FROGS!
Sat outside at 5:00 but too hot and humid! Yucko!
Good Evening Eagle Buds. This afternoon I changed the hummer food and then I realized I've hardly seen any (one at flowers) since they showed up first of May!? Maybe they just travelled on and didn't nest here?! Really surprising. Anybody seen any?
Gotta find some food.~~~

Hi everyone.
Very tired tonight. Lollypaloozing is hard work. Whew!
Loretta, have not seen a hummer yet this summer. Hope one or two will stop by to visit.
Saw the storm warning/tornado watch for the nest area. Raining here. Do wish the storm passes by the nest.
Loons and babies will likely be gone by tomorrow. A delight to watch them.
Do not like it when it is so quiet on here. Guess everyone has taken cover!! Hope so and prayers for safety!
We are expecting storms here sometime during the night as well. Certainly want rain, but forget the nasty stuff.
Prayers for our eagles, too!
Sandperson is lugging a large satchel down the stairs as I type. Now in the downstairs closet looking for rain gear.
Night light is on. Thank you JudyE for setting the alarm.
Restful sleep for all.
Nite!!
Good evening,
Hummingbirds--We had several earlier on, but I haven't seen any for a few days. Moved the feeder to see if that makes a difference.
No storms here today. I fed and watered the new plants in the front yard.
Rus came down for awhile and he and I went out to dinner in town--J. Bryan, a local restaurant.
Good to learn that Laurel's elbow seems better.
About ready to wind down for the night. I do hope no one had violent weather.
Oh my, just seeing news reports about the storm in Martinsburg. Wow.
SED, everyone. Take care.
Good night.
God Bless Us All.
Have a great day all.
Good Morning Eagle Buds
Hope everyone made it through last night storms in the nest area
and sure hope the cam gets fixed
wonder if STEVE or anyone has seen anything on the campus grounds
Hi from school.
Judy, I was wondering the same thing - has anyone at NCTC seen branching or flight from either of our eaglets. Also, I wonder if the cam that was pointed at the tree is able to be activated? We might actually get a better view of our eagles' comings and goings.
Kids are coming down the hall - later!
good Monday morning to all! it was a busy weekend...classes were good. met many lovely people. a couple really resonated within my spirit, I think we shall be in touch again and perhaps often.
what I have kept in my heart is this was my last class to teach....at least for a long while. my buddy amie is stepping in to teach the final 3 classes of the year.
Good morning,
Had a dream last night.
BBL. :)
Good morning! LOL Shirley! When I dream of teaching the classroom is out of control!! And, I am so frustrated!!! Bad dream!
One happy person here! Half inch of rain yesterday and over an inch this morning. So very thankful!!
It is 65, too! Yea! High in the 80's today.
Gotta get ready for luncheon. Later Gators!
I forgot to say Good Morning so now I will say Good AFTERNOON TO ALL ♥
I am headed to the foot dr and I will return to read comments and
chat with all of you
BBL
Good afternoon.
GOOD AFTERNOON EAGLE BUDS
BOOM BOOM POW big time storms and rain in the area now
and I see cam still not working
Loon family has gone its way. Isla is so sad to watch as she is still incubating. The 5 kestrel babes have fledged as have the hawks. Bears seem to be okay and doing bear stuff.
Hoping we will be able to see Prez and Capt. soon.
checkout GOOGLE
and wait for it it is animated to cute
Have a request. For those who have experienced the pain/discomfort preceding hip replacement, if you don't mind, please describe symptoms for me. Thank you in advance.

Okay, back again.
JudyE, you might want to go to a place that can actually measure your feet (like the olden days of childhood). Feet change over time. You may need a different size/width.
Twinkle Toes has returned.... ♥
Speaking of bears!--- Hubby spotted a yearling when he came off the I-70
ramp #49 as he headed home. Da bear
ran into the weeds and there are
fields down there.
Headed to put my feet up.
Shhhhh, do not tell the Queen your Hubby saw a bear. She will not believe you. She really thinks bears do no exist!
oh sure, someone ELSE, AGAIN, sees a bear. That's simply fabulous.
Hi all from work...looks like I may be without internet at home for the nest few days. Just wanted to check in now in case i cannot later!
oh sure, someone ELSE, AGAIN, sees a bear. That's simply fabulous.
Hi all from work...looks like I may be without internet at home for the nest few days. Just wanted to check in now in case i cannot later!
They had no issue with me bringing them back He told me that here in Fl especially with the elderly some peeps have been back up to 8 times exchanging I hope this will be my last time
JO good to know you had a good appt and LOLLY I think the queen is aware of the bear
LYNNE2 did you see the article I posted on facebook about the black bear chillin in a hammock in the Orlando area
Its 91° out now but to me it doesn't seem that hot
funny thing all that rain at work and I didn't even get a drop here at home 1 1/2 miles away or closer
I will give these shoes a try if they bother my feet I will take them back for a refund The funny thing each time I return the shoes I end up getting a credit because the shoes I am exchanging are cheaper that the ones I bought This time I got a 35 credit because they were on sale same price as the last one but on sale I thought I was doing a even exchange
OBTW my left foot didn't hurt hardly at all today and my right just some but that was the foot that has always had the little toe issue of rolling over and that part does hurt big time and that was the reason I went to get new ones When I put these shoe on and walked around for a few min at the store my little toe didn't hurt so keep fingers and all your toes and legs crossed these will be better I really don't want to take them back
so so sad another family today in Fl murder and suicide family of 5 children 3 of them ages 2-10 Just on the news So so sad
SANDI I just asked STEVE on facebook if he or anyone has seen any branching or fledgling yet I said we on the blog was curious that we had spoke of it this am
Oh I should have asked about the other cam also maybe really don't want to be pushy LOL
Just on facebook in regards to the NORFOLK nest EOA Eagle ON
""Norfolk Botanical Garden Eagle Alliance
June 9, 2014
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
U.S. FISH AND WILDLIFE SERVICE WITHHELD IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT
NORFOLK BOTANICAL GARDEN EAGLES
Norfolk, Virginia – The U.S.
Need to feed the furbabies.
hugs and love to all.
Hubby had to drive 1 1/2 hrs up west
to a viewing and so I called son and dil to invite myself over to dinner.
TACOS - hubby doesn't enjoy them but I love Tacos. Delicious... ♥

Okay, where's the party? Now Lynne2 is stuttering. What in creation are you ladies drinking? Well, I want some please and thank you. lol
Lolly, I love the end result of yard work but my arthritis makes the work very painful. I admire your energy.
Um, in case no one noticed, the QUEEN knows about the you-know-what. Seems a bit put out. Didn't stop Jo from enjoying the tacos.
JudyE, thanks for the NBG update on the eagle nest situation. Saddens me. Really sorry about the shoes and hope the new ones are better.

"Be kinder than necessary, for everyone is fighting some kind of battle."
Getting ready for sleep. I'll see you tomorrow. SED, everyone.
Humm, Judie, you seem to know more about the party than I do!
Time to say
Goodnight to all ♥
About that time!!
Night all! SED!!
Forgot...hey all you stutterers,
(oh that's a cool word!) do you think we should invite Judie to the party?
Goodorming my eagle friends - last school day with kids - YAY!! And it's field day, but it's cloudy and rain is in the forecast so field day may be inside.
Need to call the vet today for Bella - she was shaking her ears off and on last night. She must have something going on inside one of them.
Have a good day all.
Good Morning Eagle buds
JUDIE HODA has something to tell you in regards to BEARS LOL
SANDI my daughter dogs use to get sort of yeast infections in the ears causing shaking etc Big Dog deep ears Hope all is ok with Bella
Good morning SANDI and everyone.
Done well for the school year SANDI. BRAVO.
I think DANA is also finishing off this week.
Woke up at two JUDIE! What's with that?
Cooked a curry vegetable dish.
Cooked a Rhubarb Compot.
Yummer.
Having my tea and maybe a nap?
Dentist today. Cleaning.
JANET when someone comes to you in a dream it is an aspect of yourself.
Moon was beautiful last night.
Morning sunrise was breath taking. Birds chirping and my oh my the sky is stunning.
Enjoy the day everyone.
good beautiful morning. slept well last night.
we had a severe thunderstorm sweep thru just prior to bed time, but it wasn't bad. at least, it wasn't bad here....and that is fine. more rain and storms today however.
(((hugs)))
Good Tuesday morning to all ♥
Hoda - Back to the Flat! Home again.
I am headed in for my annual CT of my lungs to be sure they are cancer
free. Please say a prayer. I'll find out next Monday what the CT showed.
I miss watching the Loon Cam --
I get so distraught when I try both our cams and nothing is there. Come

Sandi, tell me again expected date of your becoming a grandparent Thanks
I had emailed Margy and she is ok.
She said ..... let the gang know I am fine and plodding along and appreciate the positive thoughts and caring ways!

When I got up this am they were still sore on the top and now if I move a certain way i now it still hurts
But doesn't hurt to walk in these shoes Now they are the same shoes I had before but with neon orange on the side and shoe laces I am buying gray and black laces I look down and see the neon and laugh to myself 64 years old don't like neon on their feet LOL
I still can feel my little toe that is always the issue with old shoes but its not hurting worse than yesterday lots better than yesterday So I think these two pairs will be keepers
Good late afternoon.
Went out foraging for car food and feline food and people food. Hot and humid in these parts.
Oh boy, Hunter will be out of school. Let the adventures begin. lol
Jo, glad the CT went smoothly. Positive thoughts and prayers for results.
Hoda, Sandperson got the wrong location for you. Went to a dragon boat but you weren't there. Came home an emotional wreck.
JudyE, good news about the shoes. I'm sure you are more comfortable now.
Well, Jo is such a strong influence I think I will put my feet up for a while.

Hi, Everyone,
I've been busy again, and mostly MIA.
I ♥ us!!!
Going out to see Bob Evans and see what I can find for dinner.

Hunter Story:

Avian Haven (do you remember the eaglets from the Bangor nest? Avian Haven: Bangor rescued Eaglets update 6/10/14. Their mom was released successfully last week!!!. They are looking great!)
BAEA 215, 216 Kenduskeag Avenue Eaglets
The eaglets have a new larger nest where they have more room to move.
That is a funny story SHIRLEY
you ought to start a book on him and give it to him one day
the email address for Kay kicked back at me yahoo acct and so did Sandra Osbourn
Dinner over. Kitchen order restored.

Judy next time you might try using the Eaglet_Momsters@YahooGroups.com
Don't see that FB eagle cam put your message up - I can try if you wish.

Good evening all. Hope the cam can be fixed tomorrow. The eagles here are nearly branching and they are the same age as ours.
SANDI, that was some send off you all gave the students. How fun. Do all of your students ride the bus?
Jo, praying for good results from your CT .
SED to all.
Coming in to say I am going out...
Judie - try a pillow under you knees if you can sleep on your back. Might
help. I hope you get some restful
sleep.
Hi Lynne and I know what you mean about the advanced stage that our
juvies (now) will be going through.
Goodnight to all and
SED with AOYP
I love us ♥
Howdy all!
Shirley, I think the next time Hunter wants you to do something, you should sit down and watch TV, say "later" and never get around to it.
Good suggestions Lolly and Judie.
I am going to call it quits tonight.
SED, everyone.
LOLLY how could ya!!!
And here I thought you were my friend!!!
Don't believe her JUDIE. No such posts.
LOLLY told a fib!!! Who ever thought a bear with hi hand in the cookie jar!!!
Goodnight and a God Bless
Sorry, Hoda, just had to do it! You know that saying do not tell Judie is like waving a red flag!!
Yes, we are friends! Heck, if we were not friends I would totally ignore you. LOL (Love you!)
Time for the pillow and (oh no!) have no sheets on the bed. Did bedding laundry today. Uh Oh!
Night all! SED!!

To your posts dismissed.
Thank you Officers and Gentlemen.
We'll take it from here.
We buried our RCMP Officers today
Have a good day all - I know I will!! :)
Good Morning Eagle Buds
good Wednesday morning.
Good morning.
Overcast and looking like it might rain today. Need to watch the news.
Hoda, may your constables rest in peace and their families know their
lives were well-lived.
Lolly, hope Fathers' day will be a good time and you will get some special Zack time before your trip.
Shirley, I think Lolly had an excellent suggestion. Just watch tv when Hunter needs you to do something. How fun that would be to watch.
Sandi, happy last day of school. I have an old sweatshirt that says: Three reasons to teach - June, July, August.
Jo, tried the pillow but kept turning on my side. I think the problem is arthritis.
Okay, just wanted to catch up. Off for coffee and newspaper. Maybe some more closet Lollypaloozing today. Almost done.
Good morning,
Perhaps the evil Jufie will visit my abode today and spirit away all TV remotes.
Sandi, hope Bella is okay.
Oh, no apology necessary. But I will need the services of the evil Jufie. Though I will not tell Hunter about her. He would truly think Grandma has lost her marbles.
Good morning to all ♥
Around 4am a storm awakened me but it was fast moving and the lightning and thunder didn't last too long.
The video of the closing day at your school Sandi was fun to watch. It
created a desire I'm sure in the students to return again next year for the fun. lol
Da Bear eating baked goods in the Nelson resident's kitchen - WHOA!
Even more enlightening in the article was How Not to Approach a Cougar! Wow - Hoda you best have read all of those instructions!
