Dropping in quickly to wish everyone a nice Red Friday! Poor Ken had to go to work today--woof!
Quick weather report for here in Anaheim: Overcast this morning, 69 degrees so far (going up to 80 (?)), with 73% humidity. No breeze so far. Hope our afternoon breeze kicks in at about 3 pm, which would cool things down nicely.
Margy, I LOVE your red, white & blue nails!! Very stylish! Looks like GG's get-together was a resounding success! Wanda, thanks for the pictures!
Can't wait for a post from Judie this afternoon after the guests have left for the airport.
Hoda, hope the weather cools off where you are, pronto! Have been keeping you in prayer, and your family.
Well, I need to try to give Emma a bit of a haircut today. She is absolutely frightened to death of clippers, so have to use thinning shears for nearly everything. It's not easy--like trying to hit a moving target! Hopefully, she'll decide to cooperate. Will post an update later.
Hope everyone has a nice day today, and hope the eagles show up at the nest! I ♥ us!!!
HELLO Just got the bills made out Boy do I dislike that chore so much now just have to run up to the PO and put in drop box
Angie called and wanted me to go to Chucky Cheese with her and Jordyn I said no thanks I don't like that place I don't mind beer drinking but I don't think it should be at a childs party place Took Angie there when she was little and didn't like what I saw there parents drinking and then leaving with their children in tow made me sick then and rather not go
Rolling along, in Monroe, LA. My tush is numb, are we there yet? I'm hungry! Jack drove 3 hrs, then I drove 2, now back to Jack. Laurel will get her turn. :)
FREE AT LAST, FREE AT LAST, THANK THE ALMIGHTY, FREE AT LAST! (:
Cannot even begin so I won't. The nightmare is over and a return to our quiet life and MT house is underway. Grace decided to venture out of hiding but Audrey is still hiding. Sheets/towels in the laundry and headed to my reading chair with the newspaper.
Wanda, distant cousins of Darth. He met one as a teenager. Live in WY and NB. Invited themselves. Had no interest in "seeing" the National treasures. In the house everyday for 5 days.
So very happy to see Wanda came through the door to share her 4th with us. Yes, Miss GG introduced me to SS and we shared a lovely conversation together. Didn't take long to figure out how our Wanda got to be the super lady she is. I'm sure Lynne was happy with the G&T remembrance.
Lolly seems to be headed south with a numb tush and Emma is about to be sheared while Lori takes a nap. It's all good.
JudyE, so sorry about the eagle. Cannot imagine why. Very sad. Agree about alcohol at a children's eatery.
Okay, headed to a quiet reading spot. Amazing how bright the sunshine is now.
You really did earn a metal of Valor Judie Valor: strength of mind or spirit that enables a person to encounter danger with firmness : personal bravery That says it all!
Hello my Wonderful Eagle Pals... Expressing a HUGE sigh of relief for Judie and Darth.... !!!
I had a wonderful time last night at GG's with Wanda, Gene, GG, Carolyn, her daughter Jenn, Denise, Brandon, and assorted young friends and relatives.... Good Friendship, Fellowship, Food, and Fireworks! Weather was about as perfect as it could be too
I need to read back farther and I will in a little bit...
stitches are out....some possible slight infection at the surgery site...so antibiotics for 10 days... I'll be off a little longer from work therefore, and will continue to treat Lefty with respect....
guess it's just "one of those things" that sometimes happens...
and I will go ahead and type less "just in case" but I can read FINE!
Look forward to the prior posts but I have a few things to tend to here at My Roost.... xoxox (( HUGS )) and Thanks for all the Encouragement and Well wishes....always... HAPPY RED FRIDAY... GOD BLESS OUR MILITARY...EVERY DAY
Thanks to all for propping me up. Thanks, Jo. I've got the bestest friends ever.
Margy, so sorry about the infection. Just take some extra care and be ever so gentle. BUT you get to stay home a bit longer for much needed time for yourself. Really happy you and everyone had a wonderful time at Miss GG's.
Guess what? I don't have to cook tonight. Serving leftovers (:
Looked twice this afternoon but have not seen an eagle or juvie. Lucky JudyE.
YAY JUDIE is Free house guests are gone and now to get a therapist for the kitties!!!
MARGY glad the stitches are out. Sorry about the possible infection and glad you will take it easy and not rush to work and that you will keep intouch by reading...do not over do the typing.
You are welcome SANDI.
LORI what DID you decide to do?? I too laughed at your wording..
Sorry about the eagle JUDYE some people are not too friendly I guess.
SHIRLEY glad there was an arrest. Sorry about losing the neighbours and I hope the ones who move in in the new house are also good people...
WANDA sounds like a terrific 4th of July picnic. I can not wait to taste your salad when I come for one of our eagle reunions in the future. Thank you for the photos of MARGY'S RED WHITE AND BLUE. Also her necklace...
Raining here now and thank God it is low 70's!!! Far more civilized I would say!!! At least I can walk and breathe and I am a very happy camper.
My sister has had the tube that was causing her pain removed. She is eating cream of wheat and yogurt and drinking orange juice...no leakage any where... Also very very very exciting news: SHE WENT HOME FROM THE HOSPITAL TODAY!!! 9 days after such major surgery!!! Blessed Be.
Judie, just can not imagine not wanting to get out and see things! Very strange! Yep, tush is numb but headed east not south. Headed to Douglasville, on west side of Atlanta. Mississippi River seemed to be the dividing line as we have had rain ever since. 193 miles to go! Approx 800 total. We hate motels so just drive all at once!
LOLLY there is no problem with the rain, just remember that!!! The earth is scorched...we need rain!!!LOL!!! I know you were talking about back east and they have had their fair share...stay well and keep posting...
Yes I would very much like us to gather around our eagles...I think of all the food and the laughs and the sharing and the meeting and the celebration of all of us...those who have led the way and those who are still here...a reunion would be a good idea...so if we all remember to stay healthy and no falling between now and then I am game...
Cooler weather and I have my appetite back!!! feels good...had a good salad with avocado and tomatoes and red onion... I think I will have a cup of tea...
The Sycamour Palace is empty... Windy there and the skies are a gentle blue...
tight before I lost power another eagle juvie flew to the attic then poof my power went out and came back on to find just one juvie in attic and OH I did have a snip and lost it off course
We are minutes away from Jane's, Jack's sister. Going to say good nite! Not raining now, but will probably have more this weekend. Oh well nice and cool. 70
Boy am I tired of riding...oh, that would be LOLLY, silly me! I'll bet she will be holding a baby G-Niece sometime tomorrow:) On the other hand, BEV and TOM are on their way home and she says the trip home was not nearly as exciting as the trip TO the beach...sorry, Bev, it is what it is:( But, I know you had a GREAT time!
GG was still excited about the picnic when we visited today. She said everyone was so very nice and seemed to be having a fun time (and they were). She went to bed around 8-8:30pm and I hated that she missed the BEAUTIFUL fireworks...but, she told me the noise woke her up and she watched EVERYONE of them from the bedroom!:) CAROLYN brought a wonderful grape salad...grapes in a mixture of Light Sour Cream and Light Cream Cheese. I set a dish of it in the fridge for GG and she told me she got up about midnight and ate it. She said she had never eaten anything like that and...IT WAS DELICIOUS! THANK YOU CAROLYN, we loved it too!
Well I'm calling it a day SED ♥AOYP See ya in the am ☼ at Sycamore Sunrise Cyber Cafe Bless this Nest and all ♀ ♥ ♂ whom watch it at Sycamore Palace Healing thoughts for those in need
"Be kinder than necessary, for everyone is fighting some kind of battle."
Sandperson is packing a satchel and will be on the way soon.
Hoda, so pleased to read the progress made by your American sister. Will continue to send positive thoughts for continued speedy recovery.
Shirley, glad you had a nice visit with your neighbor and to know that Pepsi will be with her family. Also, hoping Susan is settled down from a very scary experience.
Like Jo, thought of Paula yesterday and today. Hoping she will have good news.
Don't know what happened to Sandi but hope she's okay now.
Oh, did try to catch up on the bears. Seems DNR is, in fact, going to try to stop the bear research. Disheartening. Isla's babe is nearly as big as she and not too many weeks before migration begins.
It is time to try to catch a few minutes of news (first time this week)and then try to get some sleep. Beyond exhausted. Weary now.
Got my phone call today about the job...it's for another phone interview next Tuesday with the regional director, who is on the west coast in Vancouver, WA.
Went to Assateague and Chincoteague today...spent the day on the beach.
MAGPIE: take care of that hand, let it heal!!!! sending you healing thoughts and love
HODA: so glad your sister has gone home! :D amazing what docs can do sometimes....
gal pals arrived, but are now asleep. they are tired from the drive. chris has her son here and nancy has her grandson here.....
it is still raining. thankfully not a constant rain, but have another couple of inches on the way...before the end of the weekend we will likely have 5+ inches of rain. walking on the lawn is like walking on a sponge, squish squish squish.
its been a good day. :) so much to be thankful for....and one of those things high on my list, my eagle family. SED to all!
Have a restful sleep JUDIE...So very happy you have your own routine back and I hope the kitties are also soon settled.
PAULA very good to see you on here we were all wondering. I loved your photos on FB of the horses. Glad that there is a further interview from the regional chap due for TUESDAY. Keeping you in the LIGHT.
Glad to hear that by now LOLLY JACK and family are off the road and that BEV too should soon be home by now according to her last post on FB.
Heart warming story WANDA about GG and CAROLYN'S Grape salad...yummers.
The clouds here have gone and maybe they will come back after we paddle tomorrow. Some rain but not much really...I hope it was enough for the lightning strikes to be douced. It is cool.
HODA, is your American sister a true sister or a sister such as we Momsters are sisters? At any rate, glad she is out of the hospital and on the road to recovery.
JUDIE, I'll bet you sleep like a baby tonight...hope so, anyway! Have your Girls settled down yet or do you think you will have to find a CAT WHISPERER?
PAULA,I don't know what the job is that you are being interviewed for, but I think it would be fantastic for you to live full-time at your PARADISE. Is that the plan?
Such good news...Hoda's sister, Janet's Gal Pal Visit, Judie having her good old routine back, Lolly almost at her destination and Bev home from vacation safely (and I use safely loosely. She is in BIG DOO DOO with Sharon!!!), Paula getting a second interview, GG having a great time and Margy joining in on the fun!
Continued prayers for Hoda and her family, here and in Egypt, for Margy's hand, Sandi's foot.
Not happy about the shot dead eagle OR the Dr. Lynn bear situation. Big doo doo on both of those matters.
While I'm thinking about her, MEGAN needs us to be thinking good thoughts and wishes for her. She has a virus of sorts in her ear (I think that is what she said on facebook) and was throwing up in the doctor's office. He told her it would take a long time to shake this:( Forgive me if she has been on here and told you of this problem...just concerned for her to be feeling this way and needing to take care of her flowers and ready herself for Market~
You did mention that Wanda...VERY exciting for GG! No doubt they'll build a second nest and raise another clutch...and will likely be back next year, too!!
WANDA my American sister is the 2nd daughter of my American family. I have known them and lived with them for years on end since 1966. A sister is a sister...we are not related by birth but by love and experience and support and history and compassion and forgivness and faith and prayer...she is my sister.
Margy, sorry about the slight infection, I'm sure the antibiotics will knock it out quickly.
I see Lolly is on the road with Jack and Laurel and Joseph and Jacob...glad Jack got to go :) I see they drove in the car as well.
Judie, glad you have your house back for you and Darth and the kitties!
Glad to hear our juvies are still visiting...I haven't had any time to watch.
Hoda, wonderful news about your American sister. Glad to hear she is eating!!
Happy Belated Anniversary to Bev and Tom!
JudyE, thanks for the link for EOA. Eagle On!!
Sandi, hope the calf is feeling better!
I am loosing track of the days of the week! Didn't realize it was Friday until late in the day...which was good, because I didn't worry about the job phone call all day :) Was too busy having fun at the beach at Assateague. Very nice, clean beach, restrooms, etc. Had a great time.
Neighbor down here had a fantastic set of fireworks on the 4th!!
Hoda - Lynne said that about Bev and Sharon. I suppose it would be a way of saying that Sharon didn't get to go to the beach with Bev/Tom and that Andrew & Kelsey did. They are Sisters and they are Fine ♥
hmmm, answer...: no, my wrist not all wrapped up... after the two wks of Neosporin and small bandage, now is steri strips and no Neosporin...keep it dry, take the pills, don't overuse it...so on like that...
OK, so Judie is happy that her guests have left and Janet is happy that her guests have arrived!! I have thoroughly enjoyed our guests but, after 2 weeks of company, I'm really getting to the point of wanting my house back. It has been a wonderful visit with everyone, but there is stuff everywhere and the dog hair is so thick you have to wade through it (5 dogs, keep in mind)!
Leg is doing OK - doing nothing but sitting on the beach in the sun is pretty therapeutic!!
Paula, congrats on the follow-up interview - fingers crossed that you get the job!
Lolly, enjoy your family visit!
Hoda, amazing that your sister is doing so well and is home from the hospital! Prayers continue for her!
Prayers also for Megan to get rid of the virus in her ear - I have never heard of that before!
Another hot, sunny day is in store here in Bethany. I need to take a break from the beach - got too much sun yesterday. Have been out to water my annuals in pots (thought I would do that early while it's cooler) and came back in all sweaty - 80 degrees outside already!
Have a great day all - I'm happy to see that our eagles are still hanging around the nest.
good morning. you guessed it. its raining. there will surely come a day when i miss this rain, but (not complaining) it isn't today.... squish squish squish....
gal pals have taken son (jaimie) back to the dad. they will be back in a bit. older son and girl friend will be over this afternoon. after i clean up the deck, i think we will grill. the deck is covered, so with all this rain, the heelers have been on the deck to play as playing in the house, a small house, is waaaayyyyy too busy.
tom has put in a whole house water filtration system. our water was tasting terrible! we bought a water cooler a year ago, but the delivery water is expensive and even though you can buy water at the stores, lugging those 5 gal containers is not something i can do. so now we should be able to fill them at the house and have nice cold filtered water.
not a lot else going on. the weeks go quickly don't they? in just over a month i will be flying to michigan! i am excited about that!
hope everyone has a lovely day. will check in later.....light, love, healing and smiles to each of you. :) I hold you in my heart and thought.
First, not happy to know that Megan is unwell. Not a good time of year but mostly concerned about her health. Will send a card.
Wanda, I slept like a rock and I slept like a baby so I guess I slept like a baby rock. Feeling better this morning. Grace and Audrey are "out of the closet" and re-adjusting.
Paula, so nice you had a fun day at both Assateague and Chincoteague. Even more nice is the follow-up interview. Hope it's what you want and get an offer you can accept.
Janet, have fun with your gal pals.
Who is GG building a nest with to have another clutch? Wow! Must really be an amazing grape salad!
Sandi, so feel your pain at having so many visitors for two weeks. I also must tend to the outdoor flowers/herbs today.
First, I plan to escape for an hour or so to go to the farmer's market. Mostly looking for tomatoes but sun is shining and I need some time outside the house. Laundry will be awaiting my return.
Okay, off to market. Wishing everyone a wonderful morning.
Ditto! Hope Megan will get the relief and rest she needs for her ear ailment.....rest..probably not a work in Megan's vocabulary... (( Healing Hugs across the Potomac ))
A married couple from Wanda and Gene's Church....and Soup Kitchen and Clothes Closet ministry attended the picnic the other night.... that was really neat....and they helped Gene out a lot before all the rest of us got there.... it was very nice to see these folks whom I had met before at the SK/KK on a few occasions :) xo
Happy Hot Afternoon, Eagle Pals.... got an invite to a family picnic (my late brother in law's kin) so I think I'll go grab some free food and see some folks I haven't seen in awhile...
Wondering...how florargirl Megan is.. and if she will be able to make Market Sunday morning....I would really like to hear she would just stay home and rest and heal....
Nice to see OHIO Sunshine Kay, and to hear for all that are here today... thinking of the ones I am NOT seeing also, last time I checked the nest was empty
OOPS I got bite and I used spray must have missed the back of my arms Will finish tomorrow to stinkin hot out and looks like rain I got 90% of the pine needle dropping lots of dirt up there again but no trees growing this year like last year I dislike that tree so much and now its worse since it forked on the top
Here it is my turn to say JUVIE STILL IN THE ATTIC! Rather cool that we are in July and we can still say that...
Good Dragon Boating this morning... A work out and a half I would say. It was calm on the lake and we paddled hard...We have a racing team in Lethbridge Alberta and they seem to be in the middle of the pack...improving all the time with their time.
LORI I am glad you power washed the deck...relax now I hope.
SANDI I am also glad to see some healing happening on the beach...it is all good and we make the best with what we have got.
Do not see a posting from PAULA and know DANA is back home for a short time...this one works hard and plays hard.
After the Dragon Boat experience this morning. I dbrought the car back and dried the gear and took my bicycle out and headed to the market and it was hippie land for sure today...I was looking for fresh vegetables and found lots of arts and crafts and drums playing and baked goods and soaps and yes the weed too!!!. Did not buy anything as what I wanted were local vegetables...I will go to the co-op tomorrow...
No JUDYE I did not know it is 88 at the nest...Is Florida having an unseasonably cool weather? Hotter at the nest than your place? What races are you talkig about JUDYE.
We have learnt a lot from this camera is true JUDYE...wonderful to have it. It confirmed a lot of what we knew and it has given us a broader view of the goings on and I too say THANK YOU STEVE and NCTC and CREW...
HODA I use to be a bigger fan than I am now I was really really bad wouldn't miss a race now if its on and I am home I watch it I use to have a Nascar room with thousands or car in it I took to flea market and sold it all
I have been to Daytona three times and other races also when it was cheaper LOL highway robbery now for a ticket LOL My seats use to be 35 now they want over a hundred for same seat
Sky above the Sycamore Palace is lovely right now.
Margy, have fun at the family gathering.
There's our Hoda off to market today to enjoy all the local delights. Were there brownies, Hoda? Sadly, my market visit only resulted in some lovely tomatoes.
Hi to Kay and JudyE and Jo. Wonder what Shirley's done with her tools?
Okay, early night here. Finished laundry and visitor cleanup. Will watch a few minutes of t.v. and then off to slumberland.
Sandperson will begin rounds at 11pm. See you all tomorrow. Restful sleep for all.
WOW am I exhausted. Just came in at dark from pressure washing the deck and the house today. I did take an hour break for an early dinner when it was really hot, then went back out to try to finish up the house, and the pressure washer kinda went on the fritz when I changed faucets. Odd. My neighbor is going to come over in the morning and check it out.
Glad everyone had a good day and our Juvies are still around!!!
Lynne. I can not access the blog! My computer must need to go to the shop. I can use my iPhone but when the blog is high numbers past 201 I can not get it on iPhone. Please let them know. Good night and God Bless when desk top problem is solved I will post again. Thank you.
Prayers of healing for Margy's hand! Hope it improves quickly!
Prayers too for Megan. Hoping to hear of much improvement!
Hoda, so thrilled to hear that your American sister is home from the hospital, and doing so well! God is good.
It's good to hear that Audrey and Grace are getting back to their normal routine, too.
Haven't made a lot of progress with Emma's haircut. Got most of her face done, and am working on her ears. She's feeling fairly frisky, so it's hard to work on her without cutting her. Those thinning shears are scary sharp! I've cut myself with them, and it was NOT pleasant! She is a work in progress, and may be for a while, but eventually the job will be done.
Going to go veg in front of the TV for a while. It's a bit cooler here today, but the humidity is still high. If you're not in front of a fan, you're sticky.
Prayers for all have been said. The porch light is on. Both security systems are enabled. Sleep well, with SED. God bless, and goodnight. I love all of you! ♥♥Lynn♥♥ ♥♥Carolyn & Christy♥♥ I ♥ us!!!
I can use web version on iPhone to read and even post!!! Ha ha ha ! I am so pleased with my self!!! JUDIE they did not need brownies in Hippie Land they were inhaling unlike an ex president I heard of!
PAULA has not checked in but she is with family and it is the weekend so we would not have heard about job interview.
LOLLY has some good pictures of her family visit on FB.
I signed up to have your posts emailed to me. Thank you SANDI and JUDYE for speaking of it frequently. You have an easier time and can keep track without logging on. I will however visit once or twice a day to just check in. I like it when there are solutions to my problems.
Good Sunday morning my eagle friends! Beautiful sky at the nest with a juvie perched high in the tree. I agree that this camera view has been such a delight!
Hot hot and more hot here in Bethany yesterday and again today. Tried to work in the garden - TOO hot. The only doable things yesterday involved getting wet!!! Same forecast for today. Guess I'll go to the beach but will need to find some SPF100 for my bottom lip!
Prayers continue for Hoda's sister and for Megan, and for Lori's dad and Dana's dad that they are doing well.
Brian and Lynnis and their 2 dogs leave this afternoon. It has been wonderful seeing them.
Uh oh, just got the twirly arrow on the camera and, when I refresh the page, I get the "This item is currently unavailable" message.
good morn to all! been up a bit...it is quiet right now. enjoying my coffee and some SHHHHHH ***** sunshine ******** i'm afraid if i say it too loudly i will scare it away!
my gal pals are enroute to memphis to see graceland. they will return this evening. gives me a chance to clean house, bath my 4 furbutts (dogs) and get ready for work tomorrow.
we had the crew here last night! my kids and family, so chels & chris plus 3 kids, michael, ashley, us and olivia, plus nancy and chris, chris' oldest son and his girl (michael's age) and nancy has her grandson, dillon here who is 6. we grilled burgers and dogs, had beans and chips and all sorts of cookout style food, and i had made up some home made french vanilla ice cream with fresh fruit for toppings, such as cantaloupe, watermelon, strawberries, black berries, blue berries, raspberries and the hershey's syrup, or caramel syrup and of course, a can of sprinkles for young at hearts! all was very yummy.
even better i had good help cleaning up!
everyone left around 10 and we watched a good portion of the race. nasty couple of wrecks on the last lap there...
the rain thankfully stopped about noon and although i think we might have had a shower over night....at the moment it is dry and partly sunny. i actually see dry patches on the pavement. we've had close to 4" of rain since thursday. i had to suck water out of the downstairs the other day. i t hasn't flooded in a while. but because we live on the downslope of a hill, the ground water and the water running down the hill will invade teh downstairs sometimes when the ground is saturated. it hasn't happened in a long while...but we have a shop vac and fans.
anyway, enough chatter. hope everyone has a lovely day! :)
Late last night, I wrote a long comment about happenings in my day and it posted, but disappeared a short while later...so, I wrote another abbreviated comment, just to say good night, now I see that, too, has disappeared. Trying, once again, to post, we'll see if this stays put!
Good Sunday Morning Still so very hot! I won't be going to market today - I wanted to go if only to check on Megan. Jenny is here today so I have some company to enjoy!
No plans for the day! I really am wishing for some rain and some cooler temps
WANDA, I had that problem with posts disappearing a few years ago, and it was all connected to my account (google) being hacked, like what happened to you. I'm so sorry as I know how frustrating it is. URGH!
HODA, glad you found a way to get on the blog and you're happy with the email posts being sent to you. Once I'm employed again, after school, I'd love to get an iphone. Are you making any trips in to Hippie Land today? Love that! It must be so socially colorful!
LOLLY, great pics from your trip! Are you staying there the whole week? Thinking of Annie at camp.
PAULA, hope your having fun with family and holding back great news about your interview!!!
SANDI, It's hot and hotter here, too. Wish I was closer to the beach. Would love to retire near you!
JO, hope you are planning a great, relaxing day with family.
JANET, glad you get some quiet time today. Enjoy!
JUDIE, you too...with the quiet time. Finally! Enjoy it. Have you decided if you're going to go back and teach next school year, or retire?
JUDYE, did you get your carport cleaned out yesterday?
MARGY, How is your infection, or possible infection in your hand doing?
My neighbor came over this morning to check out the pressure washer and he thinks it's kaput...perhaps need to buy another one. We'll split it with him since we borrow it so much. He's a very nice mechanic so we make sure to treat him very well. :)
Going to be another super duper hot and humid day today. Think I'll try to find something to do inside.
Going to the new Noodles and Co. for dinner tonight.
Hope everyone has a great, relaxing Sunday. Love you all!
JO so glad you are staying in from the heat. I hope you get rain soon. I hope MEGAN is also having fewer symptoms. It will be a while before she is completely better.!!!! Sorry to say that!!!
LORI I had the same question about retirement when I read JUDIE'S post . I think it was the donating books to the library that did it for me. iPhones are often on sale and they have amazing packages. I would not have been able to afford it other wise. Keep your ears open for a sale.
wowser triple nickels - 555 - on the post before this. I had a dream last overnight that I discovered a brand fresh thread...and on the down side another dream..someone had torn up my garden and stolen the trellises for my James New England Asters... BOTH WERE ONLY DREAMS !!!
I did go to market today, not knowing if Megan was going to be there or not... She is home....said still no 100% but doing better...and trying to take it easy....
So I spent some of my Birthday money gift on Whole Grain bread, some super marmalades/preserves, fancy cheese, and one marigold plant and plunked a few $$ into the musician's box....
Spoke with a fellow vendor... we all miss Megan but hope that these next few days will find her getting the rest of the 100% wellness
As far as I can tell....the hand/infection is not getting worse....so I guess it is getting better....being on the dot with when I can take the next antibiotic pill....
"this too shall pass"
Meanwhile having some extra quiet in my days is very welcomed
So thanks again everyone... I know all the wellness wishes, prayers and super duper cards have helped A LOT !
Later on I will probably go see James the Wise Kidster..but first a little break
Sorry Lori about the Pressure Washer...sounds like you and your mechanic neighbor have a good plan.. Guess Sunday was just "meant to be a day of Rest" for YOU.
Very happy to hear from you MARGY. Glad hand infection is not getting worse. Fun way to spend Birthday Money. Glad of the report on MEGAN too. Hope she feels symptom free soon but experience tells me two to three months before she is totally free. I hope I am wrong. Careful with the driving MEGAN I had to give it up several times a few days at a time!!! Blessed Be.

Good Morning!
Dropping in quickly to wish everyone a nice Red Friday! Poor Ken had to go to work today--woof!

ANGIE just called from Chucky Chesse they no longer sell beer there Thats a good thing
JUDIE must be doing a celebratory dance of being alone at this time
Wow, Judie must have had the 'OUTLAWS FROM HELL'. Who are they and who asked them to visit or did they invite themselves?
eagle soaring in front of cam

there is another larger bird flying from the distance to the left

BBL
You really did earn a metal of Valor Judie
Valor: strength of mind or spirit that enables a person to encounter danger with firmness : personal bravery
That says it all!
Have a good "rest of the day"
Hello my Wonderful Eagle Pals...
Expressing a HUGE sigh of relief
for Judie and Darth....
!!!
I had a wonderful time last night at
GG's with Wanda, Gene, GG, Carolyn,
her daughter Jenn, Denise, Brandon,
and assorted young friends and relatives....
Good Friendship, Fellowship,
Food, and Fireworks! Weather was
about as perfect as it could be too
I need to read back farther and I will in a little bit...
stitches are out....some possible
slight infection at the surgery site...so antibiotics for 10 days...
I'll be off a little longer from work therefore, and will continue
to treat Lefty with respect....
guess it's just "one of those things" that sometimes happens...
and I will go ahead and type less
"just in case" but I can read
FINE!
Look forward to the prior posts
but I have a few things to tend to
here at My Roost....
xoxox (( HUGS ))
and Thanks for all the Encouragement
and Well wishes....always...
HAPPY RED FRIDAY...
GOD BLESS OUR MILITARY...EVERY DAY
I think that is a adult in the attic I see white tail and head
Eagle still in the attic and I still think a adult
I ALSO THINK IT IS AN ADULT,
JUDYE
Thanks to all for propping me up. Thanks, Jo. I've got the bestest friends ever.
Margy, so sorry about the infection. Just take some extra care and be ever so gentle. BUT you get to stay home a bit longer for much needed time for yourself. Really happy you and everyone had a wonderful time at Miss GG's.
Guess what? I don't have to cook tonight. Serving leftovers (:
Looked twice this afternoon but have not seen an eagle or juvie. Lucky JudyE.
BBL
eagle soaring in distance just now
i wanted to get a snip but too late
WOW NICE way over a hour now and the adult still in in attic
just did a wing stretch and got to see that white tail
poop shoot and I got a snip LOL
POOF to the left
I got snip of poof sort of and put on fb will put in EM album also naturally OK LM and TV NEWS time
YAY JUDIE is Free house guests are gone and now to get a therapist for the kitties!!!
Hoda, so happy for your sister!
Also, happy for you with the break in the weather! Heating back up at home. Sigh.....
HALLELUJAH HODA ABOUT YOUR AMERICAN SISTER !!
LOLLY, YOU ARE MORE THAN 75% TOWARDS YOUR DESTINATION :)
I like to hear Hoda talk about meeting up for a get together in the future
Pouring rain again! No justice in the world, Hoda!
Howdy, Margy! Glad your stitches are out but sorry about the infection!
GOOD TO HEAR YOU HAVE YOUR APPETITE BACK, HODA...
YOU HAVE THE MOST DELICIOUS MEALS AND SNACKS...
ALL THE FOOD LAST NIGHT WAS WAY PAST DELICIOUS
...I was so careful, I am little disappointed I did not get an A+ this morning...but Wellness is in store...one step at a time.
JudyE
very sorry to see your post about the eagle in
Polk Co
Lovin' the July 4th Avatars...
Wanda's of Jayden is priceless !
Sandi...sorry about your sore calf....sounds like you were right ON the treatment for sure...
Lynn would be pleased !

Oh, hope to see a Paula update
tonight also...
Eagle in the attic
looks like a juvie
another eagle just flew in to the tree area and now back around
lost power one more time
tight before I lost power another eagle juvie flew to the attic then poof my power went out and came back on to find just one juvie in attic and OH I did have a snip and lost it off course
eagle is no longer there in attic
Pink sky at the Sycamour Palace. I see no Royal Residents.
MARGY be patient and yes health improves...possible infection if looked after should not be too much of a challenge.
the top of the sky is now pink and the bottom is blue soooo pretty
Yes JUDYE it was very pretty...
We are minutes away from Jane's, Jack's sister. Going to say good nite! Not raining now, but will probably have more this weekend. Oh well nice and cool. 70
SED!!!
I am checking in for the evening before checking out for the night!
I am happy for all that is being discussed this evening... Sounds like all is well or will be very soon.
Not sure when we will hear from Paula - I hope when we do there will be good news concerning employment.
Margy - did the dr bandage your left arm again or just leave it open and give you the antibiotic?
Is it ok enough for you to drive?
Boy am I tired of riding...oh, that would be LOLLY, silly me! I'll bet she will be holding a baby G-Niece sometime tomorrow:)
On the other hand, BEV and TOM are on their way home and she says the trip home was not nearly as exciting as the trip TO the beach...sorry, Bev, it is what it is:( But, I know you had a GREAT time!
GG was still excited about the picnic when we visited today. She said everyone was so very nice and seemed to be having a fun time (and they were). She went to bed around 8-8:30pm and I hated that she missed the BEAUTIFUL fireworks...but, she told me the noise woke her up and she watched EVERYONE of them from the bedroom!:)
CAROLYN brought a wonderful grape salad...grapes in a mixture of Light Sour Cream and Light Cream Cheese. I set a dish of it in the fridge for GG and she told me she got up about midnight and ate it. She said she had never eaten anything like that and...IT WAS DELICIOUS! THANK YOU CAROLYN, we loved it too!
Well I'm calling it a day

Healing thoughts for
those in need
Weary now.
Restful sleep for all and goodnight hugs.
Evening, all!
Gotta read back...
Got my phone call today about the job...it's for another phone interview next Tuesday with the regional director, who is on the west coast in Vancouver, WA.
Went to Assateague and Chincoteague today...spent the day on the beach.
Will comment more when I am caught up.
Welcome back, Wanda.
good evening....
It is cool.
Enjoy your time with your GAL PALS JANET...thank you for my sister yes it is amazing.
Thank you JUDIE for the positive thoughts for my sister. It is amazing what the medical profession is capable of doing.
Is that the plan?
evening all!
He told her it would take a long time to shake this:(
Forgive me if she has been on here and told you of this problem...just concerned for her to be feeling this way and needing to take care of her flowers and ready herself for Market~
Glad you are having a good day PAULA.
JANET why is BEV in trouble with SHAR? What am I missing?
Hoda - Lynne said that about Bev and Sharon. I suppose it would be a way of saying that Sharon didn't get to go to the beach with Bev/Tom and that Andrew & Kelsey did. They are Sisters and they are Fine ♥
Hoda, you have to go check out the funny banter on Bev's last FB post!
Lynne2
is that another Charley Harper??
got two episodes of COLD CASE under my belt...
hmmm, answer...: no,
my wrist not all wrapped up...
after the two wks of Neosporin and small bandage, now is steri strips
and no Neosporin...keep it dry, take the pills, don't overuse it...so on like that...
sounds perfect, Paula,
how you spent your day
Wanda...great, the GG & family tales...
I've missed this
REST WELL...
LOLLY & FAMILY...
G'NITE PRECIOUS PALS....
GOD BLESS US,
EVERY ONE XOXO
Thank you JO and thank you LYNNE.
I did go to FB. Thank you both.
Goodnight.

GOOD MOrning eagle buds I see a juvie in the attic
Good morning Judy and all my eagle friends! Happy Saturday!
Hi everyone....just popping in. I'm a wet mess right now as I'm outside pressure washing the deck!
Haven't read back yet.
Hope everyone has a great day. Supposed to be 94 here today!
good morning. you guessed it. its raining. there will surely come a day when i miss this rain, but (not complaining) it isn't today.... squish squish squish....
gal pals have taken son (jaimie) back to the dad. they will be back in a bit. older son and girl friend will be over this afternoon. after i clean up the deck, i think we will grill. the deck is covered, so with all this rain, the heelers have been on the deck to play as playing in the house, a small house, is waaaayyyyy too busy.
tom has put in a whole house water filtration system. our water was tasting terrible! we bought a water cooler a year ago, but the delivery water is expensive and even though you can buy water at the stores, lugging those 5 gal containers is not something i can do. so now we should be able to fill them at the house and have nice cold filtered water.
not a lot else going on. the weeks go quickly don't they? in just over a month i will be flying to michigan! i am excited about that!
hope everyone has a lovely day. will check in later.....light, love, healing and smiles to each of you. :) I hold you in my heart and thought.
Good morning!
Good Morning Eagle Pals...
Ditto! Hope Megan will get the relief and rest she needs for her
ear ailment.....rest..probably not a work in Megan's vocabulary...

Good morning!
Headed to north Georgia mountains for the day. Niece Linda and hubby have home on a river. Going for the day!

Good Afternoon Eagle Buds !
Still enjoying this birthday/holiday week in between constant pop up showers. Full sunshine not expected til' late next week.
So happy to find that:
SANDI's leg is better and she'll soon have her house back, dog hair and all !
JUDIE has her house and sanity back !
WANDA and GENE hosted their annual event with style n' grace !
LOLLY et al are having a good time in Georgia !
LORI now has a clean deck !!!!
So sorry to hear that:
MARGY has a bit of infection in the hand and MEGAN is suffering with such an unusual virus ! Prayers for them and for all in need !

Happy Hot Afternoon, Eagle Pals....

so I think I'll go grab some free food and see some folks I haven't seen in awhile...
Wondering...how florargirl Megan is..

Home from work and I see a MT attic and nest :-(
LORI I am going to join you in the all wet crowd I am heading out to clean the carport off that darn pine tree has it full again of dropping
Just came in the house for a cool down break and I see a eagle in the attic
OOPS I got bite and I used spray must have missed the back of my arms Will finish tomorrow to stinkin hot out and looks like rain I got 90% of the pine needle dropping lots of dirt up there again but no trees growing this year like last year I dislike that tree so much and now its worse since it forked on the top
wind is picking up at the nest pretty blue sky and white puffy clouds completes the picture with the eagle of course Gonna watch the news LM
Juvie still in attic
JUVIE is still in attic and I am heading to shower
out of shower and juvie is still in attic nice long visit
LOLLY and family are with family on retreat...rather awesome the setting you described LOLLY.
JUDIE I am glad you have your house back...take some time off to just relax...
Just because I can say it:
JUVIE STILL IN THE ATTIC!!!
I think it is Shammrock not Hedgie.
Anyone else?
YEP I also think it is Shammrock HODA smaller
I love that we can say
JUVIE IS STILL IN THE ATTIC
HODA did you know that it is 88°
at the nest wow warmer that I am at 85°
races is about to start
The wind is picking up at the Palace...
just think about it without this camera we really wouldn't see them as much
THANKS FOR THE VIEW STEVE
No JUDYE I did not know it is 88 at the nest...Is Florida having an unseasonably cool weather? Hotter at the nest than your place? What races are you talkig about JUDYE.
We have learnt a lot from this camera is true JUDYE...wonderful to have it. It confirmed a lot of what we knew and it has given us a broader view of the goings on and I too say THANK YOU STEVE and NCTC and CREW...

Must have just circled the place
POOF to the right and down
Took to wing again and banked to the right...
I know LYNN liked to watch NASCAR JUDYE and CAROLYN does too...I did not know you also liked to watch it...
NEST temp is 86 and I am 84 now
Sky above the Sycamore Palace is lovely right now.
Good Evening everyone!!!
Going to hit the hay very soon.
Love you all. SED. AOYP
HODA, your trip to the farmer's market aka hippie-land, sounds so fun! I love NELSON!
Sweet dreams all.
Good Late Night, Eagle Pals...

Hi all....I have a message from our Hoda.
Lynne. I can not access the blog! My computer must need to go to the shop. I can use my iPhone but when the blog is high numbers past 201 I can not get it on iPhone. Please let them know. Good night and God Bless when desk top problem is solved I will post again. Thank you.
Good night to All
Thanks Lynne for relaying Hoda's goodnight

Good Evening!
It's taken me a while to get caught up here!

Coming in to say good night. SED everyone.
Hope you are feeling better, Megan.
Hope the infection clears up quickly, Margy.
Happy that you have your peaceful home back, Judie.
Love your Emma avatar, Andy.
Hippie-land, Hoda? How interesting.
Thank you LYNNE for bringing my message over.
JUDYE you have so many interests...
Goodnight
God Bless.
Have a great day all!!

good morn to all! been up a bit...it is quiet right now. enjoying my coffee and some SHHHHHH ***** sunshine ******** i'm afraid if i say it too loudly i will scare it away!
my gal pals are enroute to memphis to see graceland. they will return this evening. gives me a chance to clean house, bath my 4 furbutts (dogs) and get ready for work tomorrow.
we had the crew here last night! my kids and family, so chels & chris plus 3 kids, michael, ashley, us and olivia, plus nancy and chris, chris' oldest son and his girl (michael's age) and nancy has her grandson, dillon here who is 6. we grilled burgers and dogs, had beans and chips and all sorts of cookout style food, and i had made up some home made french vanilla ice cream with fresh fruit for toppings, such as cantaloupe, watermelon, strawberries, black berries, blue berries, raspberries and the hershey's syrup, or caramel syrup and of course, a can of sprinkles for young at hearts! all was very yummy.
even better i had good help cleaning up!
everyone left around 10 and we watched a good portion of the race. nasty couple of wrecks on the last lap there...
the rain thankfully stopped about noon and although i think we might have had a shower over night....at the moment it is dry and partly sunny. i actually see dry patches on the pavement. we've had close to 4" of rain since thursday. i had to suck water out of the downstairs the other day. i t hasn't flooded in a while. but because we live on the downslope of a hill, the ground water and the water running down the hill will invade teh downstairs sometimes when the ground is saturated. it hasn't happened in a long while...but we have a shop vac and fans.
anyway, enough chatter. hope everyone has a lovely day! :)
Good morning,
Hoping all is well at the Sycamore Palace, but I can't see anything there for now.
Sounds busy at your place JANET. Glad you have signs of the yellow disc!!!
I hope so too SHIRLEY
Good morning everyone.
Ah, the quiet. I really enjoy quiet.
No view of the nest this morning. That camera has really been terrific and hope it can be available again next year.
Headed for some coffee, newspaper, and then to finish a recommendation letter should have sent off last week.
Next big task is to restore my teaching materials to my office and pack up books to donate to the library.
Have a wonderful morning!
GOOD MORNING ☼
Late last night, I wrote a long comment about happenings in my day and it posted, but disappeared a short while later...so, I wrote another abbreviated comment, just to say good night, now I see that, too, has disappeared. Trying, once again, to post, we'll see if this stays put!
Have a Blessed Sunday~♥~
Good Sunday Morning
Still so very hot! I won't be going to market today - I wanted to go if only to check on Megan.
Jenny is here today so I have some company to enjoy!
No plans for the day!
I really am wishing for some rain and some cooler temps
Good morning to all in eagleland!
Keep your ears open for a sale.
wowser triple nickels - 555 -
on the post before this.
I had a dream last overnight
that I discovered a brand fresh thread...and on the down side
another dream..someone had torn up
my garden and stolen the trellises for my James New England Asters...
BOTH WERE ONLY DREAMS !!!
Hello Eagle Pals !
I did go to market today,
not knowing if Megan was going to be there or not...
She is home....said still no 100% but doing better...and trying to take it easy....
So I spent some of my Birthday
money gift on Whole Grain bread,
some super marmalades/preserves,
fancy cheese, and one marigold plant
and plunked a few $$ into the
musician's box....
Spoke with a fellow vendor...
we all miss Megan but hope that these next few days will find her
getting the rest of the 100% wellness
xo
As far as I can tell....the hand/infection is not getting worse....so I guess it is getting better....being on the dot with when I can take the next antibiotic
pill....
"this too shall pass"
Meanwhile having some extra quiet in my days is very welcomed
So thanks again everyone...
I know all the wellness wishes, prayers and super duper cards
have helped A LOT !
Later on I will probably go see
James the Wise Kidster..but first
a little break
Sorry Lori about the Pressure Washer...sounds like you and your
mechanic neighbor have a good plan..
Guess Sunday was just "meant to be a day of Rest" for YOU.
HODA
Glad you were able to
"finagle" and "bamboozle" your way
through not being able to get to the blog...
"Where there is a will there is Way"
ttfn now Pals...
Best Wishes to ALL for a very very good day....
xoxo
Very happy to hear from you MARGY. Glad hand infection is not getting worse. Fun way to spend Birthday Money. Glad of the report on MEGAN too. Hope she feels symptom free soon but experience tells me two to three months before she is totally free. I hope I am wrong. Careful with the driving MEGAN I had to give it up several times a few days at a time!!! Blessed Be.
