Thanks Steve for a fresh new page and thanks Wanda for the call over.
Water came within 3 inches of overflowing our canal this morning! I was holding my breath! This was the last high tide that we had to worry about with this storm so we are safe!
I am looking all over the place and I don't see MY FEATHER!
Just want to wish a lot of luck to SHIRLEY & SANDI on the repairs of their roosts. It must surely be driving you both crazy. I think we will ALL feel a lot better when you have everything done and back in order. We are troubled when our friends are troubled!
Must go now and see if I can find my FEATHER! This will be my second one,if I can find it:)
I do think it is time to dis-own Lynne!!! Did you see that she included herself on my fb comment to her? She did that without letting us know more. Grrrrrr!
Our son's air compressor that he had stored here while they went to Africa that got wet still works!

Very expensive pressure washer that Denny took to a lawn mower repair place has been serviced and is A-OK!

Denny has decided to redo our workshop and foyer first, before any of his clients. We have decided to replace the drywall that was cut out with AZEK, which is a composite material that comes in sheets and can be screwed right to the studs. In the workshop and closets, we'll leave the AZEK white and Denny will just put a trim strip up to cover the seam where the drywall and AZEK meet. In the foyer, we''ll cut the drywall out to 3' high, paint the AZEK an accent color, and put a chair rail to cover the seam where the drywall and AZEK meet. That way, if we ever flood again, the AZEK can be unscrewed, wet insulation removed, new insulation installed, and the AZEK can be reused. Since we have to rebuild, we might as well do it smarter this time!
Denny figures that he can use our repair as a model to show his other clients who had similar damage, so he wants ours done to take photos and to be able to bring clients to the house to see the finished product. So, I won't be waiting all winter until everyone else's house gets done before ours gets done! =)
Good evening eagle buds I find a new thread when I sign on to the computer and wow 33 and these 12 comments thats the most comments we have had in a while must go read to see whats going on

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY, JO AND ED! And congratulations!!!
Jo, I'll be thinking of you and saying some prayers tomorrow for your Dr. appt.!
Sandi, glad that some of the equipment that got wet still works! Sounds like Denny has a good plan in place for your home repairs!
Shirley, really glad to hear that repairs have started on your place! Your Hunter story is a crack-up! I think you need to write a book someday.
It's pretty dreary weather here today--light rain this morning, a bit windy, and cloudy. I love it! It's only about 64 outside, too. Very welcome, after a high of 91 last weekend!
Well, need to keep busy with the work I have to do. Will check in either later tonight, or tomorrow morning. Hope everyone is doing OK with the storm back east. Prayers continue from this roost. HAGD, everyone! Emma says "Woof!" ♥♥Missing Lynn♥♥ ♥♥Carolyn & Christie♥♥ I ♥ us!!!
Andy I totally missed your birthday, here and also by snail mail... when I get behind in snailmailing it is serious for me, and I am Waaaay behind in snailmailing. So Belated Happy Birthday Greetings to you !! xoxox ☺ ♥
I can open up Michael's caringbridge site but have great difficulty typing a comment right now...just a computer thing at the moment.... but I am up on the latest, and surely adding my prayers for all needs on the horizon, and very happy to read of Michael's progress...
Posting this here but not on FB so don't refer to it over there. The news "appears" to be really good for my dad. We won't know anything for sure until the CT scan on the 27th which is why I don't want it on FB.doctor can no loner feel any swelling at all. There is a good chance that this means that the tumor has shrunk and that is why the kidney is now able to drain, hence the decrease in swelling. Thanks for your continued prayers, I know that God hears them and has a plan for all of us.
Great news DANAMO on your dad and hope the out come is great and no longer has to to treatments I am watching the eagle at Sequoyah and she or he has a inverted v like Belle
I didn't make the cut for the WV Operation Wildflower Roadsides in Bloom calendar contest for 2013, but got a lovely rejection letter and a list of the winners.... one from our area...Kearneysville in Jefferson County, the Grand Prize Cover winner at that ! and 12 others from all other parts of the state... "Maybe Next Year" for me
MARGY that would be great if you could see them and off course we are jealous if you do but will be happy that you get to see them fingers crossed you can eke out some time Cool Beans ♥
Good afternoon/evening all! Upstairs is all dusted and vacuumed and 3 bathrooms are squeaky clean!!
Judy, woodworking equipment creates a lot of dust when you use it. Without a dust collection system, all that dust goes on the floor or gets on everything in the workshop. A dust collection system has hoses that connect to each piece of equipment. When you turn it on, the dust from sawing wood is sucked through the hoses and collects in a large bag. When the bag is full, you just put it out with the trash.
Shirley, loved your pics on FB - I'm delighted that the work has started on your house!!
Dana, what incredible news about your dad!! You must be so elated!! Prayers and positive energy continue that he will keep making good progress. He has such a positive attitude himself, and I'm convinced that goes a long way in a person's recuperation.
Talked to Mom - she is getting around enough to fix food for herself, got a good night's sleep in her own bed, has taken a shower, and is not in any pain.
I was sorry to read that Michael doesn't qualify to be moved to a nursing home but I suspect part of the reason is that he has made such good, steady progress. I hope the family can put some supports in place for him by the time he goes home on the 16th.
I've got to update, my fine eagle momsters and dadsters, about my brother-in-law. He has completed his first round of radiation and chemotherapy. Now he will surgery and another round of radiation and chemo.
Thank you all so much for your thoughts and prayers.
This was on the new funny a 3 year old took a leak in his yard and mom gets 2500 dollar ticket but now they changed thier mind ticker after 3 year old pees in front yard
Hi all! Getting ready to eat a quick supper and then head to church for a meeting.
Sandi....so excited for you that Denny is repairing your place first. Sounds good...and makes sense. Saw that you answered Judy's question about the dust collection. Jack has that in his shop and was getting ready to answer her question.
Really windy today and the pecans were falling fast. We collected several hundred that the wind blew down. These are the pecans from the very tip top of our trees.
Happy to read of the updates on Sandi's Mom, and T-Bird's brother in law Keeping those prayers going, ladies !
Enjoy your quiet solitary stay at home, Shirley.... I have a little old-fashioned bridge book (the card-playing kind of bridge) to send along to you... I believe it is from the 50's - of my Dad's.
SANDI thanks for explaining that to me They say you learn something new almost every day so I learned something new today I never knew about good concept
57° just got home and the out side smell like fire places big time I don't have my heat on not cold enough yet
Sandi, sounds great on the repairs and it makes sense! Larry has a dust collector in his shop, too.
Happy Anniversary to Jo and Ed!!!
Margy, good to see you here today!
Shirley's house is a bangin'...YAY!
DanaMo, good news on your Dad. Hope the CT says so as well.
Nice to see Suzan, too!
Went to see Larry last night, he's been at the beach for a week!
Have to go get my son's truck tonight. I am going to load up all the debris in the yard into the truck and haul it away. Think it will be quicker than trying to burn it all. Will try and get rid of some other junk while I have the truck.
Oh, didn't tell ya'll that John and Ajay got a puppy! The kids, especially Cohen, really have been bugging them for a dog. They got a beagle from the pound. His name is Griffin (Think RG3). Her Mom got the brother. 10 weeks old, I'll get to see him next week, heading up their for Cohen's birthday...can't believe that boy is going to be 7!!
Oh, Margy. We were flooded during Hurricane Floyd in 1999. It was a long haul getting back to a normal. Sorry I was not more clear. Did not mean to mislead.
It sounds like most everyone is on the way up from so many troubles. Has anyone heard from Lynne2? Miss reading her posts. I have a facebook page but am terrible about going over there.
Getting late again! Been on phone w/daughter & emailing her pics. She called yesterday and today w/her new work phone. It's the one to talk to & tell it who you want to call! But not perfect in the car because you have to push a button to turn on the "voice lady".
Good to hear from NCSuzan. Glad everything is OK down there! Sandi and Shirley, so glad your home repairs are coming together. And Sandi, glad your Mom seems to be doing OK.
Good news about DanaMo's Dad and Thelma's BIL. Prayers continue, and especially for Michael to find a "finishing" place or nurse and for Jo's appt. tomorrow.

GREAT news DANAMo and THELMA on yur family cancer patients! More prayers!
JO, sorry your appointment was cancelled. Hope you're not anxious having to wait a little longer. Prayers continue! Glad you had such a nice night out on your anniversary. ♥
MARGY, so good to see you on. I know you've said how busy you've been lately. Hope all is going well.
SANDI, sounds like you're well on your way to a normal house again. You're so blessed that Denny is a contractor!
SHIRLEY, YAY on the rebuilding!!! Bang away, just get 'er done, huh!
JUDYE. Thanks so much for all the nest reports! I love checking them out when you've alerted there's birds there!
Running behind this morning - what's new??? Time to get ready for Red Friday. Love, light, hugs, and prayers for all!
Good morning! Thelma sounds like good news for your BIL. My dad is almost finished his first round and chemo then we will see what comes next. God is good! ☺ I hope and pray that surgery goes well. Sandi-I hope things continue to move along at your house.
Dress down day today for us. Jeans and a sweatshirt! Yay! I think I will wear my Warrior Canine Connection sweatshirt. Can't wait to find out if there will be a winter litter of labs.
Good Friday morning Lori, Thelma, and all my eagle firneds! Hmmm - firneds?? Fingers aren't hitting the keys too well this AM. Ah, and good morning Dana as well!
Easy day for me - teacher inservcie day so no kids. Meeting this morning and a chance to do some catching up this afternoon.
Prayers continue for Dana's dad, Thelma's brother in law, Michael, and Jo. Jo, sorry to hear about another delay on your doctor's appt.
Thinking of each of you this morning; hoping light and love for each of you and a smile to grace your faces.
Chilly this morning; going to warm up today and tomorrow. :) Be a nice break. I hope to accomplish a lot this weekend, we shall see what happens!
I did book myself a massage for tomorrow --- a 90 min with one of my favorite therapists Its been a long week and I will enjoy the reprieve.
Olivia had a bad day at school yesterday. :( She got into the car and started crying. Another girl (middle school sucks people) pushed her. This child and my child apparently do not get along. This happens. Its life. I get it. But when she lays a hand on my child....that is the line. So we marched right back into the school and tackled it right then. The Dean was there, and several of her teachers and I think we have it handled. I will say one thing, this school has a zero tolerance for that sort of behavior. I am glad. SO hopefully today will be a better day.
There are some kids who would immediately fight back and go right into an altercation. Olivia is much like me in that respect. We do tell her to stand up for herself and not take crap.... but that is so difficult. She is just not that sort of assertive person. She took hapkido for about 18 months when she was 6 years old and can a couple of maneuvers to defend herself if necessary, but i just don't know.
That's an early morning alarm clock for sure, T-Bird... hope you can catch a Panda Nap later on....maybe you are doing that now !
I have yet to set the clocks back here at the apartment... so I am not even really sure what time it is, but I realize I have an extra hour to play with ☺ there's not much real hurry to reset them as I am off work this week, and on my own schedule...
My friend, Sandy Wilhelm, who was diagnosed this year with lung cancer, is now in remission. No signs of cancer in her body!! The chemo, however, has affected her kidneys and they are functioning below 20% so she has to go to a nephrologist to see what can be done about that. BUT - GOD IS GOOD ALL THE TIME!!!!!!!!

Sandi...know you were worried with this last high tide. You said the rain had stopped, how about the wind?
Once again, beautiful weather here, though we need rain.
Hard to imagine bad weather in other places.

Some good news!
Both shop vacs that got wet still work!
Our son's air compressor that he had stored here while they went to Africa that got wet still works!
Dust collection system that got water in the motor still works!
Very expensive pressure washer that Denny took to a lawn mower repair place has been serviced and is A-OK!
Guys came and sprayed mildewcide this morning. Hoping to get the floor sealer on today as well.

Gotta scoot...bbl
I wish all of you health and peace.
Prayers continue, and especially for Michael to find a "finishing" place or nurse and for Jo's appt. tomorrow.
If I don't get back, Pleasant Feather Dreams ;>)

Make it a great day all!
Good morning to all.
Did I tell you I really dislike middle school????
Well, here's to a better day ya'll. HUGS
Oh, Janet, that kind of stuff makes me so sad and troubled...I do hope the problem is fixed, RIGHT NOW.
Enjoy your day also.
xoxox (( Hugs )) ♥
That's an early morning alarm clock for sure, T-Bird...
hope you can catch a Panda Nap later on....maybe you are doing that now !
I have yet to set the clocks back here at the apartment...
so I am not even really sure what time it is, but I realize I have an extra hour to play with ☺
there's not much real hurry to reset them as I am off work this week, and on my own schedule...
But I do have to run along, have some chores to do, elsewhere...
another way to procrastinate about the debris field here at the apartment...
Best Wishes for a Good, Better, BEST day for all
(( RED FRIDAY HUGS ))
xoxo ♥
WONDERFUL NEWS TO REPORT:
My friend, Sandy Wilhelm, who was diagnosed this year with lung cancer, is now in remission. No signs of cancer in her body!! The chemo, however, has affected her kidneys and they are functioning below 20% so she has to go to a nephrologist to see what can be done about that. BUT - GOD IS GOOD ALL THE TIME!!!!!!!!
Yes, it is wonderful news, Sharon...
Thanks for bringing this to share with us
xo ♥
Best wishes for further good outcomes
xoxo ttfn xox ☺ ♥
