I posted on my blog pictures of my family in Egypt when they signed the marriage contract and then another picture of my niece and her new husband, even though they do not live together till the 10th of February when the wedding takes place...They look happy, I wish them well.I think she is too skinny though, hardly eats anything I am told!!!

Both Michael and Laurel's weddings were fun. Laurel was married at our church here then the reception was at a hotel in Fort Worth. Michael got married at a big church in Dallas and the reception was at the top on a skyscraper in Dallas. They had a bus hired to take the wedding party and the parents to the reception. Fun! We paid for his rehearsal dinner and it was almost as much as Laurel's reception. Yikes!
Played with the kids...the we watched the night at the museum...smithsonisn version. Gianni wanted to go to bed soon after it started and the popcorn was all gone...and the boys fell asleep soon after...we had fun

Then mid afternoon Laurel will get here, then late afternoon Michael and family will get here. So excited! Michael and family are spending the night, so I will not be around much. It is way late and I must go upstairs. I spent a long time on the phone with Susan this evening. She dropped something on her toe at work today. She said that she felt like she had to keep going, but eventually had to go the an emergency center because she was in pain. Has been advised to stay home tomorrow.
Well, it's quite an unusual evening here tonight! Our old TV kicked the bucket, apparently. Kubby turned it off (it's usually on nearly 24/7!), and now it won't go back on. That means I need to call an electrician out to install new 3-prong wall plugs in the living room and office. The Geek Squad wouldn't install the new flat-screened LED TV I got Kubby for Christmas, because we don't have a 3-prong plug in the living room. Gotta look up an electrician on Angie's List or something tomorrow. It's so quiet here, it's kinda spooky! Good thing our DVR will still tape stuff for us. Boy, first the car, now the TV! (No, I'm NOT going to ask, "What next?"!) Need a new plug in the office for the laptop, too. May as well make the housecall worthwhile.

MARGY, enjoyed the little "misunderstandings" that occur on your job ! Spending 15 years on a hotel/casino switchboard was similar in some ways, including the fact that we were 911 for the guests. Then we had to make the "real" 911 call when necessary. We operators felt we should write a book, but never did.

Has anyone done any reading about the NBG nest - Lynne2 commented about something being up last night. Based on what I read on FB, it appears that the female that the male was "with" a few weeks ago (the one they thought was found on the grounds dead) has made a reappearance at the nest! Talk about confusion! I think I'm hearing faint eagle calls - anyone else think so? I've heard them twice.
JUDY, I've talked with my mom about getting a cat for company since she can no longer walk a dog. It's the up-on-the-counter thing that she says she can't stand!
Both of the last 2 times, the HP was in the cup area, which is much softer. That probably explains why Belle takes a tumble - hard to keep her footing in that soft flugg with a how many pound eagle on her back!
Bandit has had a good week. He did go after Bella once but I was in the room (I never leave him in a room alone anymore since he's become so grouchy) and stepped between them and scooped Bella up. But he has been OK with Denny, Kevin, and me. No snarling or growling. I even went back to brushing his teeth, which I had stopped doing b/c I was leery of getting that close to his mouth! The plan is to get a urine sample Sunday night for Denny to take to the vet Monday morning, and once the results of the urinalysis are back, to take him in for a visit and a chat with the vet.

Good night to those turning in. I will be up for a wee bit longer. In the morning we are heading to Denton to see a basketball game, eating lunch with Laurel and boys and hopefully bringing two boys home with us. Then mid afternoon Laurel will get here, then late afternoon Michael and family will get here. So excited! Michael and family are spending the night, so I will not be around much. Belle will present us with an egg at that time....I am sure.

It is way late and I must go upstairs. I spent a long time on the phone with Susan this evening. She dropped something on her toe at work today. She said that she felt like she had to keep going, but eventually had to go the an emergency center because she was in pain. Has been advised to stay home tomorrow.

Well, it's quite an unusual evening here tonight! Our old TV kicked the bucket, apparently. Kubby turned it off (it's usually on nearly 24/7!), and now it won't go back on. That means I need to call an electrician out to install new 3-prong wall plugs in the living room and office. The Geek Squad wouldn't install the new flat-screened LED TV I got Kubby for Christmas, because we don't have a 3-prong plug in the living room. Gotta look up an electrician on Angie's List or something tomorrow. It's so quiet here, it's kinda spooky! Good thing our DVR will still tape stuff for us. Boy, first the car, now the TV! (No, I'm NOT going to ask, "What next?"!) Need a new plug in the office for the laptop, too. May as well make the housecall worthwhile.

Well, think I'll call it a night here. Gotta get busy and find an electrician online. May be back much later tonight. MARGY, enjoyed the little "misunderstandings" that occur on your job ! Spending 15 years on a hotel/casino switchboard was similar in some ways, including the fact that we were 911 for the guests. Then we had to make the "real" 911 call when necessary. We operators felt we should write a book, but never did.
I just got caught up, too, Kay! Hope you didn't think I left you. :)
I've got the nest sound (and humm) up loud, plus the fan on the laptop running, as well as the fan on the thing that's supposed to keep the laptop cool! Sounds like a factory!
If Belle doesn't spend the night in the nest at all this night/morning, she's only more likely to spend the night tonight!
That's my positive spin on the MT nest for now.

We lector tomorrow so 9 am mass for us. Should be pretty laid back weekend.
Then we are going to the Knights of Columbus for a Super Bowl gathering.

Has anyone done any reading about the NBG nest - Lynne2 commented about something being up last night. Based on what I read on FB, it appears that the female that the male was "with" a few weeks ago (the one they thought was found on the grounds dead) has made a reappearance at the nest! Talk about confusion! I think I'm hearing faint eagle calls - anyone else think so? I've heard them twice.

Here's the link, but it opens up with chirping sounds, which are not "live sounds" and makes a lot of clicking noises

JUDY, I've talked with my mom about getting a cat for company since she can no longer walk a dog. It's the up-on-the-counter thing that she says she can't stand!

Both of the last 2 times, the HP was in the cup area, which is much softer. That probably explains why Belle takes a tumble - hard to keep her footing in that soft flugg with a how many pound eagle on her back!

Bandit has had a good week. He did go after Bella once but I was in the room (I never leave him in a room alone anymore since he's become so grouchy) and stepped between them and scooped Bella up. But he has been OK with Denny, Kevin, and me. No snarling or growling. I even went back to brushing his teeth, which I had stopped doing b/c I was leery of getting that close to his mouth! The plan is to get a urine sample Sunday night for Denny to take to the vet Monday morning, and once the results of the urinalysis are back, to take him in for a visit and a chat with the vet.
DARN! I hate when I accidentally refresh the cam instead of the blog! lol
