Andy, I'm sure that the relative with the rotator cuff surgery is suffering a good bit. Prayers for him. I remember how bad it was for my Bill ---he had both done---not at the same time! One was much worse because they had to insert "brads" to re-attach the muscle to. I did some really intense caregiving with that one!

Based upon the comments made by biologists at NBG about their new female, it looks like our male is the same age....probably just turned 5 this past spring...so he would be 6 this coming spring.

Liberty and Patriot, the eagle pair at Turtle Bay are building a new nest..they are not sure if they will be able to get a cam on them this year.

PAULA everytime there is a loss of an cam it is a sad story...it is the same like Hornby Island up here...not sure if they will have a cam this year, if they have settled their quarrel...
She has moved to the centre of the nest and looking towrds seven position and moves on to six.
They have been in the nest for more than an hour. Either both or one of them.
Hmmmm...the first new cousin-in-law baby I met when I joined ex's family committed suicide a couple of days ago at age 42. He and his girlfriend had a fight.....what a waste.
Sad Paula about Turtle Bay probably won't be able to have a cam with nesting already started. Happy though that the eagles have a better tree and stayed in the area. Next season they can put up a cam so we can watch Turtle Bay.

Sorry to hear that LYNN. I see suicide attempts as a call for help and his carried through. tragic really that he could not deal with the split in another way.
Hoda, Hornby is the nest and cam on ??Dave's?? property, right? If that's the one I'm thinking of, I wouldn't blame him one bit for taking it offline. That whole situation was just plain wrong.
It is not Dave Hancocks property but it is the one we talked about in the spring.

Good Morning Everyone!
Sorry I missed the eagle show. We had our own show here this morning.I awoke to sirens, but Fubby was outside and said there had been a gunfire exchange down and across the street, sounding like it came from developement down there.They blocked the entrance there & many police, some ambulances and firetruck went in. Ambulance came out & police eventually started leaving. Fubby spoke to one detective who said policeman had been shot, but would be OK. The perp didn't survive. No other details.

LYNN, how sad it is when someone decides suicide is their only option. God bless his family as they now struggle with his decision and may God forgive him and put his soul at rest.

Happy to hear NBG Daddy has found a young mate to his liking ! Hope he can train her to avoid the airport runway. He is a very nurturing male and she's one lucky young adult eagle !

I slept for two and a half hours and feel a need for a good cup of tea.
I will head off to yoga and errands and then maybe a walk in the park to get the cobwebs out of my head.
