PAULA, sometime tomorrow will be just fine for the closing of the poll. You had such a satisfying and productive day. Get some good rest !
LYNN, I know your girls are going to take good care of you and your comfort food needs. We are so blessed to have such devoted daughters ! Love hearing about Freddie ! So the old warnings about getting warts from toads must be an old wives tale, eh ?
SHIRLEY, you and I made it through the split and you got WAX ! Congrats ! Bingo must be very popular in your area with no seats to be had. I guess your fingers are all better if you could heft the bowling ball ! Good !
HODA, you have a busy Sunday coming up. Hope sleep comes easily for you tonight !
Okay, I really am bowing out now. ZZZZZZZ.........
I too hope that I sleep soundly tonight...I will wait up another hour before I head to bed so I do not wake up too early in the morning...I had some protein and will do some yoga poses if I can not sleep. If I start the blog I will get hooked and not be able to get to sleep like what happened last night...so exciting to learn so much and it is a joy that I got so much help too...THANK YOU ONCE MORE to LYNN, JO, PAULA and the encouragement emails that I received. They made my day today....so much gratitude to you all.I can ot leave out Belle and her mate who were very captivating this morning...good show.I drank plenty water today tooand so I should be rested when it is time to go to bed...
I will sign off and do some yoga poses with legs up the wall and some breath work to let go of the day...Sleep tight and see you all in the morning I hope.
What a wonderful, loving, kind, Godly, active group of Momsters we have here. Just read through the posts from last night and can't believe WANDA did 12 turkeys! Bless you beautiful lady!
Lynn, we must be related, two type A Pepsi loving girls! But, my Freddie is a cat...love toads though. Rescue a lot of them from basement window frames outside.
PAULA, so excited about the polling. Thanks again for your work. Pictures of the chairs? What kind of fabric did you use? What a great way to make everything look new again.
Kay, how was your Seth and Malcolm night? ((Big HUG))
Hoping for a visit this morning...FloBear and Dalai are hoping for some food now. BBIALW
Good morning Lori. Right now I am the door master....letting the dogs in and out, and in and out. They do this every morning. Driving me nuts, ringing the bells.
WOW 46 degrees is not bad for Monte camping out on the trail. Could have been a lot worse. Of course that's easy for me to say coming from my warm bed! ☺
Thanks Lori any ideas on who is left in the nest? The head is so bright with the light I really have a hard time seeing if there are any spots left. I thought this was Belle, but your much more in the know than I am.
I just posted a pic on my blog of what we think is Belle showing the "V" in the front of her neck, so we can get some confirmation. We're like the blind leading the blind. Sorry to those depending on our ID skills, because they are lacking. LOL
Yes, Thelma we had both for a while. Male entered first then Belle joined him, then he left. That is if I have identified them correctly. If you think this is Belle that my report is correct.
Morning early risers. So nice to see there was a visit. Hunters are out the door, DIL & gr son still in bed. My turn in the bathroom. Hope everyone has a great day! Take care, stay safe, enjoy :o)
Sounds like a Wonderful Thanksgiving Dinner gathering this morning at Wanda and Gene's Church. Bravo to all the Providers!
and Best Wishes to Everyone for a Good Day.....guess there will be some football game watching in your futures
ttfn See you much much later on Going to see Lori, to meet my "new-old" computer, meet FloBear, Dalai, and the rest of the menagerie at Lori's Roost xox ♥
Margy, how exciting you get to to to Lori's roost and meet the gang today!
Uh, DanaMo, aka SCOOP....are cinnamon rolls are the list of things you are allowed to eat??? TAKE YOU MEDS AND VITAMINS!
Saw something I've not seen at my feeder this morning while in the Nature Room. Birds all over the feeders and the ground and WHOOOSH right over my head a Cooper's Hawk dive bombed! He missed and didn't get anything. He must have been sitting on the roof waiting. I'm PRETTY sure it's a Cooper's...have seen him several times flying around. I think he missed because under the feeders, there are 2 bird baths, 2 decorative logs, and some potted plants. Too many obstacles for a direct hit I think.
Owe - little one has gotten up with an earache. To be expected I guess, already had a head cold. He & Mom are off to find something to help with the ache until they get home.
Loved Lynne's poultry in motion joke, ad good one, Lori: breakmess instead of breakfast!!! I remember those days well with my 3 SharPei---also rather jowly dogs and sloppy eaters!
Oh, Dear, CarolAnne---poor little guy. How old is he?? Tylenol, a warm dry cloth to the ear....is he on a decongestant of any kind? They no longer treat earaches as aggressively as they used to, saying they usually resolve on their own. Can't say that I agree with that approach much. I've seen--and had--the painful consequences!
Safe trip to Lori's, Margy!!! Now just make sure that you get it hooked up and operating ASAP. And that "new" printer, too!!!
CaroleAnne, sorry about the little one's ear ache. So they are hunting this morning? What are they hunting? I am fixin' to make a venison meatloaf later! YUMMMY!!
Sometimes I wish I could hunt, but I just don't have it in me. But there is comfort in knowing that (in most cases) the deer was doing exactly what God intended for it to do right up to the moment it was dropped. Farm animals, on the other hand......UGH.
When I was having my tangent about the wasted deer with their heads cut off left laying around, Steve said that those kinds of hunters would never donate the deer to the needy because it's costly to have them processed. But since then, I have found that most processors will work with food banks, and process the deer for little or not cost as their way of helping.
Paula, do you think the Tundra Swans will come to your Paradise? If you missed my post from last night....word is that they are on the move, and many seen on a lake in Wisconson (HEY, CaroleAnn...have you seen or heard any??). I was wondering if any of your neighbors mentioned about them.
Grandson is 3 1/2 and a real trooper. Its true, they don't medicate for many things anymore. DIL & gr son are back w/decongestant & children's aspirin.
It is bowhunting season until Thurs. Then Sat. rifle season starts. They are not "allowed" to hunt the deer around here, especially the ones that come into the yard. They drive far into the woods to hunt.
Lots & lots of geese leaving the lake in the dawn hours - no tundra swans :o(
Lynne, I meant to comment on your comment about the tundra swans. I will have to ask some neighbors next weekend and see if they have ever seen any of them. That would be way cool.
Even though I am going to winterize my place in a couple of weeks, my neighbor friends SueEllen and George invited me to stay with them at the beach over the winter...they are really nice people!
Just googled about tundra swan sightings in Wisconsin. Seems they are closer to home than here, in the Horicon Marsh. Had slipped my mind about the abundance of migrating birds there. Will have to see if we can make a roadtrip & get some photos.
Paula, not only is your beach paradise all you could ask for, you have fantastic neighbors. Hope you take them up on their offer as often as possible. Also good to know caring people are around to keep an eye on your place.
Well I am hoping this post without one word on a line and messing up.
Margy have a safe trip. Lori I am saying Hi to you through Margy (:
Those who got to watch Grey's on Thursday. Wasn't it a great show!!
Blue Bloods was excellent on Friday. Wow had me on the edge of seat.
Paula I meant to comment on Friday about Nick getting your pillow. That was so so sweet....awww he did not chew it ... just wanted the smell of Mommy to lay his sweet head on. That was so dear (:
CarolAnne that post at 756am on Saturday to your Dad. Was simply beautiful...made me think of my Dad as I read it. Thank you ♥
Hoda you sure are getting the picture taking down pat. Good for you !! (: Hope the concert is everything you expect it to be. ENJOY!
Andy prayers for healing for your brother-in-law.
Loretta read about the shoot out by your posting. Sad about policeman being shot. Hope he will be ok...praying he will be. Sad thing for the perps family.
Oh Lynne (grannyblt) wonderful what a great feeling you must have had seeing 4 young eagles. Your sister-in-law sure was a lucky lady too. One in her backyard.
Nice Lynn 8 pt.buck. Bet he was pretty.
Ouch CarolAnne sorry he has an earache. Glad they are back with some treatment. Hoping it helps the little guy ( : ^j^
Paula SueEllen and George you have mentioned before. They do sound like really wonderful neighbors. Isn't it nice to have folks like that?
Thank you Paula for all the work you have done and are doing for the voting. So good to know that our male eagle will be getting a name. No matter which name he gets they are all good ones. ty HUGS
Yes, we "do" venison many ways. have bacon made, hot sticks, jerky, sausage, tenderloins. The guys spent last evening cutting up and packaging an 8 pointer son got on his land just before they headed up here. Now he can only hunt doe. They used the entrails to entice coyotes (left a trail cam out there to see what showed up). Can't wait to see whats on the chip when they get back in.
CaroleAnn, hope you see some SWANS!!! Do you 'prepare' the meant before cooking it? My friend Gail's hubby is doing his part to "feed the needy" and he gives us a lot of his venison. I usually cook the roasts in the crock pot and don't do anything before hand. But I made chops once and they were lousy! I've hear soaking in salt water, beer, milk, all kinds of crazy things. Steve likes the meatloaf but not the roast so much because of the somewhat "gamey" taste. I have a loin roast in the freezer now...any thoughts?
Paula, didn't realize you'd be wintering at Paradise for the winter :( but I guess that is the practical thing to do. OMG...LOL, just had a funny thought....my In-Law could rent your place for the winter!! Just kidding of course, but geeeeezzzzie Louise I sure wish they were not staying on the mountain this winter.....praying for their safety and for the mildest winter Terra Alta has ever had.
Lynne2 I don't usually do anything special beforehand. have found the taste varies between deer. Guess because they never seem to get really big, old deer the meat is usually tender & good tasting. Will ask Mom, who has been cooking game meat for 60 plus years for any suggestions.
Lynne, I will winterize this winter...it has oil heat, and I don't feel comfortable leaving that running without someone being there. I plan on replacing it next year so I can still go down next winter!
Still bow season here, too, until the 21st. Then we'll start hearing all the gun shots. I did see someone checking in a kill at the local gas station Weds. AM---UGH!!!!!
I sure hope you got a picture on trail cam Lynn! I saw a beautiful big rack buck on the side of the road on my way home the other evening. It was just about dark, and he was just standing there. I stopped the car to look at him (no one was coming up behind me) and he was staring back, and then he just moved off back into the woods. Had the camera but it would have been to dark to get a good shot.
Lynne, I just used a cheap cooking wine/sangria. I think I probably threw in some parsley, garlic, pepper...and I baked it in the marinade and basted during cooking as well.
Hedgie - the aspirn was just my shorthand. DIL is very careful about those types of things. This gr. son is very special. Took much $$ and special treatments to enable his existence.
Lynn, sure wish you could have Liesl stay with you until tomorrow, but on the other hand, I think it will put your mind at ease to hear from the sitter that she is doing well before you go to surgery Tuesday. And I'm sure she will do well. She's such a happy little girl! She'll miss you though! How long do you think it will be after you come home that she can join you again?
CarolAnne I like venison humbergers yummy and bologna.
I just put a call into my hephew. You all made me hungry for some venison. He is going to fix me up. He said he will see I get some burgers and he is doing a sweet bologna, then a spicey bologna and other different types of things too. I told him I just wanted some burgers and sweet bologna. Oh yummy!!
Lynn glad you reminded CarolAnne NOT TO DO CHILDRENS ASPIRIN only use acetaminopen or ibuprofen. I had FORGOTTEN ALL ABOUT REYE'S. Oh Lynn THANK YOU !!!!!! (:
Just got off the phone with my GF...her husband was diagnosed about 2 months ago with prostrate cancer, which is very treatable at the stage he is in. However, they did also find a spot on his kidney...He's going in for surgery at Hershey sometime in the next couple of weeks. They say this is very treatable as well, actually doing it on an outpatient basis...so I would really appreciate your prayers for Buddy. Debbie's husband prior to Buddy died of lung cancer.
Just a quick good morning. Gotta get ready for church. Sweet Potatoes are in the oven. Would love to join in on the morning chat but alas.....I can not!
Good Late Morning everyone! Great reporting on our visit this morning, Scoop and Lori! Your pic Lori says it it Belle. I am very excited to get the votes tallied and have a name for our male.
I just sent in a comment to America's Got Talent. Asking about the rumor of Howard Stern replacing Piers Morgan. I'll let you know if they write me back.
Paula, most definitely prayers for Buddy and Debbie. Hope everything is very successful!!
Well.....is Grossman the lesser of the two evils??? Either way, I think we are screwed this season....both are big disappointments.....and of course the injuries haven't helped the line, either. Started out with such high hopes that this would be a great year. :(
Okay, CarolAnne!! Whew----glad to hear that you all are on top of things!! We had good friends whose daughter was close to my Carolyn's age---she passed away at 6 from Reye's. A very sad time for all.
DanaMo---my Myrtle is wild....but has returned every spring/summer for many years. Comes when called, and LOVES maters and cantaloupe! You can see pics of her on my blog.....June 2010 and Oct. 2009.
Lynne,, with Maxine's work schedule, it was just easier to take Liesl today. She won't get home from work until 6 tomorrow evening, and that means runnning all the way acorss town in rush-hour traffic in the NOW darkness.... :( Hoping that Carolyn will go pick her up after she gets off work Friday.
Way to go Liesl. I guess the tugs aren't puppy proof! Big dogs love them like the Flying Labs and the Bullies. Chloe is getting her's this coming week and I just know she is going to love it
Did anyone hear of an accident on I-81 last night. Left Mother's to go North from Dry Run Rd. onto I-81. Those STUPID people where coming up my ramp that you go onto I-81. They akmost crashed into me!!!!!
Good morning. Wonderful deep sound sleep. DANAMO thanks for the EAGLE REPORT this morning. GREAT JOB. PAULA thanks for the poll and for the wishes of a good concert. I will let you all know when I come back. I am on my way to do yoga nd groceries. Then I will go cook for the Grans African DInner and then the concert. WIll check in later tongiht. Love you all...{{{{{HUGS}}}}} Safe trip MARGY....I like it that LORI is sharing...♥ ENJOY YOUR DAY EVERYONE...BBL
Hmm, that was an interesting phone call...just got a call from the beach....the lady who owns the lot next door is going to put the lot up for sale and wanted to know which real estate company sold my my property...and I've never met her....she must have looked me up online...
Sorry this is late: Regard tenderizing venison - Mom says she always soaked venison, all game actually, in 2 - 3T vineager with enough water to cover meat. Soaked for a few hours or overnight. Removed gamey taste and did a good job of tenderizing too. My bro said " or use pickle juice - same effect". Happy eats everyone.
and Paula, hot sticks are short sticks of very spicy venison - about finger thick and 5-6" long. Good football watching snack, usually washed down with beer.
Almost done the windows on the ends of the sunroom...not wasting towels and Windex. Just using a wet wrag----rain will just mess them up anyway, but at least I'm getting the summer dirt off. Going to have to devise a way to do the back side...too high to even reach on a ladder. Think I will use the wands to the the ceiling dusting tool and stick handle of the fiber-cloth car wash mop in the end and try to do it that way. I'll probably get soaked!!
Had a wonderful visit with Margy. How blessed we are to have such a sweet Momster/Sister. Dalai got a little too excited and ended up jumping FloBear, so bad girl ended up in the crate. But, Margy did get to meet the bullies, FB and Dal, and kitties Bobby, LeRoy, Batman and Freddy. Parker, Burry, Briar and Andy didn't know not to fear our wonderful visitor and spend the time under the bed. Cats are kooky. :) We'll be able to say goodbye to Margy's dinosaur soon. YAY! Thanks for coming over Margy. It was a very special time.
Glad that you and Margy had some special time together, Lori! She is truly a wonderful person!! Of course, you are as well!
Job done....my mind is eased. It's not perfect, but at least it's clean and the water spots look better than all the dirt did!!!! My invention worked well and I didn't get soaked at all.
Hope Everyone is having a happy, sunny Sunday!! A little bit windy here, but in 60°s. Konked out last night, not watching Terps, who were way too slow! Oh well. Got a couple more 'puter sites for shopping and should go to work for couple hours, But.....
HURRAY LYNNE!!!!!!! It's about time...and gee, if it was done that quickly, why didn't he get it fixed LONG before now????? What a jerk. How much oil do you have and how long does it last?
HAPPY HAPPY Lynne2 has HEAT HEAT HEAT!!!! Lynne2 check different places even oil company. They can tell you where to go for the program to get oil free. I don't know if it is just 1 tank full. Or if it is more.
Shar---bet your soup is yummy!! I have a can of Progresso veggie, but will save it for a cold night. Maybe Carolyn will make a pot when she's here next weekend!
DIL decided to Scotchguard the chair fabric, so we should get them done this week! She can use the plastic on the kitchen chairs if she decides to redo them...
Paula would it be good for you to buy the lot. So no one could build close to you. Nor have a neighbor that builds and isn't a good neighbor. Maybe check to see what she wants for the lot?
Dana, we are obligated to buy heat from a specific company as they hold the service contract on the unit. It is also the company that the former landlord Ken, and Klye and Jamie use. Because so much is puchased by them for all of the rentals and personal homes, they get it a a less expensive price.
Yeah, isn't that funny that it was able to be turned on so fast and WHY wasn't it done before he left?
Not sure how much oil is still there...last week he told us enough for about 3 weeks, today he said we'd need to make arrangements right away for delivery.
Well, Lynne, maybe the oil company will just give you SOME and not a whole tankful. But DO check in to the "home-heating assistance fund." Hopefully, you will be considered qualified.
Hallelujah, LYNNE ! So happy the heat is on, at last ! Loved your very punny, "Poultry in Motion" !
LYNN, you were half right last night. Seth was with me. He doesn't always bring Malcolm. 1. I think he likes to get away from the walking and other responsibilities now and then. 2. I think he is sometimes a wee bit jealous because Malcolm loves me so much and opts to sleep on my bed ! Julie and Hugh weren't going out last night so Malcolm had company all evening. I've kicked my prayers into overtime and high gear as you count down toward heading for the hospital. Your place is going to be spiffy clean and easily warmed up when you return. Smart gal !
PAULA, prayers for Buddy and for Debbie. She's already been through enought ! Thanks again for your work on the vote !
DANAMO, you are no longer a Cub Reporter ! Great job and glad LORI got in on some of the visit, too !
Thrilled to know MARGY is heading home after a nice visit with LORI and the menagerie. Hope that "new" computer solves lots of problems !
HODA, how I'd love to be in on the Judy Collins concert ! Enjoy !!!!!
LYNNE2 STICK THE END OF A BROOM HANDLE DOWN IN THE TANK. THEN LOOK AT WHERE IT WOULD BE ON THE TANK. IF SHOWS TOO LOW....YOU DON'T WANT TO PULL OFF THE BOTTOM. THAT WILL MEAN GET DIRT IN THE VALVE AND YOU WILL HAVE TO PAY TO FIX IT. YOU ALSO DON'T WANT TO RUN IT EMPTY BECAUSE YOU WILL HAVE TO GET THEM TO START IT AGAIN PAYING.
IF YOU ARE HOME WHEN THEY COME TO PUT OIL IN TANK. TURN THE HEAT BACK SO THE FURNANCE IS OFF. THAT WAY AS THE OIL GOES IT AS IT IS TURNING UP THE DIRT ON THE BOTTOM IT DOESN'T FOUL UP THE HEARTING SYSTEM WHERE IT WON'T WORK. WAIT TILL AFTER OIL IS IN TANK AND LET DIRT SETTLE BACK TO BOTTOM. THEN TURN YOU HEAT ON OR UP
Change of avatar. Max is joined by cousin, Seth (17) and sister, Dana Kay who turned 21 earlier this month. She's a Junior at the U of MI, with a double major, Linguistics and Spanish. She recently announced she wants to be a Speech Therapist. Eileen has been divorced for 10 or 11 years and has done a great job of bringing Max and Dana through a tough situation ! Don't have to say much about Julie's dear Seth, as you all know him well.
Liesl knows something is up...I just packed her bag.... waiting for Maxine to call saying that she's leaving work.
Lynne, you haven't mentioned SB's in a long time. What's happening with them? Shhhh. I think they are GONE here. I have only seen one (dead) in over three weeks!!!!
We are home and full of turkey dinner. Watching Cowboy football. Jack is really irritated as it did not record. Still having problems. Grrrr So, he missed the first half of the game.
We are heading to Dallas in a couple of hours.
So, glad Margy and Lori got together. More fun!
Oh, and I voted. My problem is we will not have internet for the week we are in CO. I will not know the name of the eagle!!!
Kay, sounds like you are a wee bit proud of your family!!! OF COURSE you are.....great pic! Love to hear folks brag about their kids!!! Wonder what they would think if they knew that we do it???
I can understand Seth asserting a bit of independence.....a dog can be as much of a responsibility as a sibling---and "big" ones always get tired of/irritated by the younger ones.

«Oldest ‹Older 201 – 400 of 889 Newer› Newest»I am too tired to make any sense this evening, so I will say good night.
Night light is on, but Judie may reset it if she stops by. She is the official night light person.
Rest well. I will see you tomorrow.
I hope everyone gets through the split.

Tired of the news - Loved my Hallmark movie and hope to tape some Christmas
ones as my other shows are on at the same time.
DanaMo - Myrtle is Lynn's pet Turtle
I got through without even knowing it!
just one more thought for the day...
A chicken crossing the road is
POULTRY IN MOTION.
:)
SHIRLEY, you and I made it through the split and you got WAX ! Congrats ! Bingo must be very popular in your area with no seats to be had. I guess your fingers are all better if you could heft the bowling ball ! Good !

God Bless.
Not Google, but Blogger ate that one!
Let's try again...
That was my delete. Blogger made me sign in, didn't realize it had signed me out!
Good morning.
Duh, Blogger is Google, just caught that.
BBIALW
Good Morning Dana MO!
R.E.M? Looks like a spot on the top of it's head?
Not so sure haven't been at this long enough.
Didn't see where he/she flew in from. I hope some experts are with me. Lori....
EAGLE AT THE CENTER OF THE NEST LOOKING AROUND
NOT SURE WHO IT IS POSSIBLE SPOT ON TOP OF THE HEAD
A LOT OF MOVING AROUND IN THE CENTER OF THE NEST, BUT IT DOESN'T APPEAR ANY WORK IS BEING DONE. KEEPS LOOKING BACK
APPEARS TO BE WAITING
FEELING MORE CONFIDENT THAT IT IS REM WILL TRY TO GET A PIC OF HEAD SO FAR NO LUCK
SECOND EAGLE ARRIVES. I THINK I WAS RIGHT, THIS EAGLE APPEARS BIGGER. FLEW IN FROM THE 3:00 SPOT
NOW WORK ON THE NEST BEGINS, WAITING FOR THE BOSS I GUESS. LOOKED LIKE SOME BEAKING TOO
WORKING ON THE RAIL, BELLE IN THE CENTER. HARD TO TELL THE HEADS BECAUSE THE LIGHT IS REFLECTING OFF THE WHITE.
I can't believe I am here alone. Lori I hope you are watching with me and just not posting. I don't like being the lone reporter.
REM FLEW OFF IN THE 3:00 DIRECTION
BELLE LOOKING OUT AT THE 3:00 SPOT, LOOKING FOR REM?
STANDING ON RAIL AT THE 4:00 SPOT LOOKING OUT
I don't really like the slow mo of the still cam. Wish the live cam was back up. Do we have any word on that?
JUST STANDING AND WATCHING OUT OF THE NEST AT THE 4
You're doing a great job, D-MO!
NOT MUCH ACTION JUST STANDING ON THE RAIL LOOKING OUT, HARDLY MOVING.
Sorry, had to clean up the animal break-mess. Didn't see it come in. You really are going GREAT!
Thanks Lori any ideas on who is left in the nest? The head is so bright with the light I really have a hard time seeing if there are any spots left. I thought this was Belle, but your much more in the know than I am.
Who broke what?
Shouldn't we be getting color soon?
I was going to ask you which one was left in the nest.
No one broke anything - it's just a mess to clean up after feeding everyone.
Look I'm typing without tags. Will try this again. Must say Sharon's suggestion worked.
I always think it's Belle doing this statue in the nest behavior. Sure wish we could clearly see the head.
Well if I was right from the beginning then this is Belle. But if I was wrong...
...then obviously it would be the REM
SSICON = STILL STANDING IN CENTER OF NEST
Just think, today we will know which of the names are the finalists and what his name might be. So exciting.
COLOR!
LOOKS LIKE BELLE WITH THE "V" IN THE FRONT OF HER WHITE NECK FEATHERS.
STILL LOOKING OUT
Oh how I long for the live cam
I hope so because then it would mean my report has been correct. ☺
LONG VISIT, NICE!
I just posted a pic on my blog of what we think is Belle showing the "V" in the front of her neck, so we can get some confirmation.
We're like the blind leading the blind. Sorry to those depending on our ID skills, because they are lacking. LOL
No change. SSICON!
YES THIS NEWBIE IS NOT TOO SURE OF HER REPORTING SKILLS WHERE ARE THE EXPERTS? SLEEPING? ☺
YOU are doing fabulous, DanaMO! A great job.
I DO SEE THE V NOW SO MAYBE I WAS CORRECT
Good morning eagle momsters and dadsters.
Morning Thelma
Good morning, Thelma! It's a small group this morning. Always, so glad you're here. Scratches for Buddy and Lillian!
CAN SEE THE TALONS NOW, BUT I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO LOOK FOR
Is it Belle visiting this morning? I do think so.
Have we had them both this morning?
Margy is coming over to pick up her new/used computer this morning! It's defragged and ready to go.
I sure will Lori.
Yes, Thelma we had both for a while. Male entered first then Belle joined him, then he left. That is if I have identified them correctly. If you think this is Belle that my report is correct.
Thelma, I posted a pic on my blog where you can see her inverted "V" neck feathers. So we are looking for confirmation that it's Belle. :)
And, everyone said POOF!
POOF
6:11-7:02
What a reporter, D-Mo, I'll call you SCOOP!
REPEAT PERFORMANCE, WOW CAUGHT ME OFF GUARD!
Morning early risers.
So nice to see there was a visit.
Hunters are out the door, DIL & gr son still in bed. My turn in the bathroom. Hope everyone has a great day! Take care, stay safe, enjoy :o)
Hi CarolAnne. We have eagle in the nest!
POOF :(
Guess she came back to see if she locked the nest? LOL!
Lori, I don't know if I missed it before but I love your avatar.
DanaMo, Stronghunter, Kay too. Everyone has such nice looking avatars.
Holler if we have another visit. : )
Looks like we are done for the morning. I better go get a shower before Annemarie and Andrew get up! Cinnamon rolls are in the oven.
Thanks Thelma, that's my parents and my hubby from the Anniversary Party last weekend.
Good Morning Eagle Pals....
Great Reporting Lori and DanaMo!
I caught the very end of just the Lone Eagle visit....
I AM getting ready to head to Frederick soon as Lori mentioned...
This is my "Grateful to have NormaByrd in our Lives" avatar...she liked, among Pandas and Eagles....
Flamingos!
Sure miss her too, like we all do here....

Magpie,
Godspeed on your travels today.

MARGY you have email with a directions clarification.
That's a lot of hugs, CarolAnne!
Thank you.
Thanks Thelma - avatar is FloBear & his Mommy.
Got It Lori !
Thanks...you can see I am running just a wee bit late...
See you "in about an hour"
Thanks CarolAnne...
enjoy your family time ♥
See ya' Later Eagle Pals....
Morning all!
Good Sunday morning!
Jo, thanks for telling DanaMo who Myrtle is---I missed her question!
I had a lovely big 8 pt. buck out here this morning---HE was big, but rack was thin and short---so I guess a young dude!
Good Morning!
I forgot to wish Hoda a great time at the concert....I know how much she is looking forward to it! Hope you have a great time, Hoda!
Wow, I slept in today :)
Did you get a picture of the buck Lynn?
Paula, thanks for the poll results/semi-finals... and the extra time you put in to do it. :)
this may sound nutty, but I don't think I would want to eat venison from a deer I "knew", like ones here. Rather it be a strange deer.
I second that Paula! Thank you very much!
OK folks, the old polls are closed and the new one is up
Here are the finalists!
Beau
Carson
Freedom
Potomac
Rebel
Shep
Shepherd
Sky
Spirit
Trooper
Have fun voting!
CarolAnne, hope the hunters are successful and the little one feels better soon. Do you like venison? I love it.
Lori, I'll snap a pic or two of the new chair seats...fabric looks really nice on them...DIL's choice.
Bet Margy has arrived by now...how cool...and how generous you are Lori!
Well I am hoping this post without one word on a line and messing up.
Margy have a safe trip. Lori I am
saying Hi to you through Margy (:
Those who got to watch Grey's
on Thursday. Wasn't it a great
show!!
Blue Bloods was excellent on
Friday. Wow had me on the
edge of seat.
Paula I meant to comment on Friday
about Nick getting your pillow.
That was so so sweet....awww he
did not chew it ... just wanted
the smell of Mommy to lay his
sweet head on. That was so dear (:
CarolAnne that post at 756am
on Saturday to your Dad. Was
simply beautiful...made me
think of my Dad as I read it.
Thank you ♥
Hoda you sure are getting the
picture taking down pat. Good
for you !! (: Hope the concert
is everything you expect it to be.
ENJOY!
Andy prayers for healing for
your brother-in-law.
Loretta read about the shoot
out by your posting. Sad about
policeman being shot. Hope he
will be ok...praying he will be.
Sad thing for the perps family.
Oh Lynne (grannyblt) wonderful
what a great feeling you must
have had seeing 4 young eagles.
Your sister-in-law sure was a
lucky lady too. One in her
backyard.
Nice Lynn 8 pt.buck. Bet he was
pretty.
Ouch CarolAnne sorry he has an
earache. Glad they are back with
some treatment. Hoping it helps
the little guy ( : ^j^
Paula SueEllen and George you
have mentioned before. They do
sound like really wonderful
neighbors. Isn't it nice
to have folks like that?
Thank you Paula for all the work
you have done and are doing for
the voting. So good to know that
our male eagle will be getting
a name. No matter which name he
gets they are all good ones. ty
HUGS
Lynne, I have marinated the chops and roasts in some wine with onions, mushrooms and spices before...it really tenderizes the meat.
CarolAnne, what are hot sticks?
I like the sausage made with pepper jack cheese!
Lynne2
I don't usually do anything special beforehand. have found the taste varies between deer. Guess because they never seem to get really big, old deer the meat is usually tender & good tasting. Will ask Mom, who has been cooking game meat for 60 plus years for any suggestions.
Mom is on the way over to have me load some more books on her Kindle. Good day to all.
Lynne, I will winterize this winter...it has oil heat, and I don't feel comfortable leaving that running without someone being there. I plan on replacing it next year so I can still go down next winter!
Lynne, I'm sure the trail cam got a shot of the buck!!
Thanks for the poll work, Paula!!!
CAROLANNE-----please NIX the children's aspirin......acetaminophen or ibuprofen only, please. Remember Reye's!!!!
that would be great CaroleAnne! Thanks!
Paula, what kind of wine and spices and for how long before cooking? Do you fry or back teh chops?
I think I marinated it for a couple of hours.
Or overnite would do as well.
Bet Margy is being smother in Bulldog kiss slobber right about now!
Thanks for getting the vote up and running, Paula. We appreciate your efforts.
My turtle is Myrtle too! But he lives in a tank.
Hey Lynne, they benched Beck, Grossman is starting today...about time.
CarolAnne I like venison humbergers yummy and bologna.
I just put a call into my hephew.
You all made me hungry for some
venison.
See you later this afternoon!
Have a great Sunday! I will vote later, too!
Paula starting prayers now for Buddy and his wife Debbie ^j^ ^j^
Good Late Morning everyone! Great reporting on our visit this morning, Scoop and Lori! Your pic Lori says it it Belle. I am very excited to get the votes tallied and have a name for our
male.
No plans at this time for today.
Hoping that Carolyn will go pick her up after she gets off work Friday.
Heading outside...
LOL, Lori---Liesl just chewed the tug attached to the teething ring in half!!!! Little rip!!
I eat and really like good not too spicy deer bologna. OF course Frostburg
Bologna is the Bestest!
I never had hunters in my family so I
can't comment too much.
Way to go Liesl. I guess the tugs aren't puppy proof! Big dogs love them
like the Flying Labs and the Bullies.
Chloe is getting her's this coming week
and I just know she is going to love it
Lynn is the teething ring in half or the tug?
Love you all...{{{{{HUGS}}}}}
Safe trip MARGY....I like it that LORI is sharing...♥
ENJOY YOUR DAY EVERYONE...BBL
Hmm, that was an interesting phone call...just got a call from the beach....the lady who owns the lot next door is going to put the lot up for sale and wanted to know which real estate company sold my my property...and I've never met her....she must have looked me up online...
I'm surprised Nick hasn't chewed his tug up yet!
No, the teething ring is fine!!!
Bad wreck on 81 around 7:30.....shut down the whole thing for a Life Flight chopper to land .
Have fun, Hoda!!! Wish I was there to see the concert, too.
Paula....why don't YOU buy the lot????
I think I would like those hot sticks, CarolAnne, and I can eat the jerky but I don't care for venison otherwise.
Talking about eats - I have been reading the newspaper and forget it's
lunch time......
BBILW
Had a wonderful visit with Margy. How blessed we are to have such a sweet Momster/Sister. Dalai got a little too excited and ended up jumping FloBear, so bad girl ended up in the crate. But, Margy did get to meet the bullies, FB and Dal, and kitties Bobby, LeRoy, Batman and Freddy. Parker, Burry, Briar and Andy didn't know not to fear our wonderful visitor and spend the time under the bed. Cats are kooky. :)
We'll be able to say goodbye to Margy's dinosaur soon. YAY!
Thanks for coming over Margy. It was a very special time.
Game time. GO SKINS!
Have a good day! ☺
WOW, gotta see Skins!
BBL
Glad our Sweet Margy was able to meet with our Sweet Lori and Lori's gang. (:
So far Redskins are behind 7. Come on Skins get her together and get a touch down!!!!
When did they make the decision to switch QB back to Grossman?
Thank you, DanaWV! That was nice.
Steve just soaks his vension in salt water-cold overnight.
Paula what does she have on the property. A mobile or a house?
Lynn glad you didn't get all wet. Don't need you to catch a cold before surgery.♥
Good afternoon my eagle budlets. I have voted!! Wonder what name I voted for! LOL!
I made vegetable soup today and I must say it was scrumptious!
Gog afternoon!!
Nice interception.
Grossman still stinks.
lol Lynn if he would win this game would you say "he still stinks"?? lol
Had to settle for a field goal....need TD's!!!! 7-3, Dolphins.
THE HEAT IS ON! THE HEAT IS ON!!!!
Kyle got back from his camping weekend at noon and the heat is now running!
All I have to do now is figure out how to pay for oil.........
Lori, decision was apparently made this morning to put Grossman back in. Thelma posted it, and then I saw it on FB, too.
and a GOG afternoon to you, Shirley!
Thanks Lynn!
Yeah for Lynne - the heat is on!!!! It's about freaking time! Hope you're warm and toasty!
Clouds have rolled in, wind has picked up and l---es are falling again. :(
HURRAY LYNNE!!!!!!! It's about time...and gee, if it was done that quickly, why didn't he get it fixed LONG before now????? What a jerk. How much oil do you have and how long does it last?
In for a break...
HAPPY HAPPY Lynne2 has HEAT HEAT HEAT!!!! Lynne2 check different places even oil company. They can tell you where to go for the program to get oil free. I don't know if it is just 1 tank full. Or if it is more.
Lynn, it is nice to get all that summer dirt off....loved the view at the beach when I took the screens out and did the windows...WOW
Lori, I posted that about the Skins QB right as I heard it.
Sharon, I have NO idea what name you voted for, LOL
DanaWV, the lot is just a lot, no house.
OMG Lynne has heat! Wonderful!
Lori and Margy, glad you had a nice visit!
It's not as warm as yesterday, but not bad...just need a sweatshirt.
Thanks, Wanda, those hot sticks sound great!
And yup, vinegar is a good tenderizer as well....such as in italian dressing!
Shar---bet your soup is yummy!! I have a can of Progresso veggie, but will save it for a cold night.
Maybe Carolyn will make a pot when she's here next weekend!
D--N, he's intercepted again.... grrrrr.
DIL decided to Scotchguard the chair fabric, so we should get them done this week! She can use the plastic on the kitchen chairs if she decides to redo them...
I like crab meat in my veggie soup, LOL
Paula would it be good for you to buy the lot. So no one could build close to you. Nor have a neighbor that builds and isn't a good neighbor. Maybe check to see what she wants for the lot?
Yay, so glad that you have heat, Lynne.
Prayers for Debbie and Buddy, Paula.
Thank you for all of your work on the voting, Paula. I agree with DanaWV--a list of good names to choose from.
Score is 10-6 Dolphins, but we are within the red zone with a first down! Let's SCORE!
Enjoy !!!!!
ANOTHER field goal. Grrrrr.....10-9.
NOT A LINKLYNNE2 HEAT ABOUT THE HEATING PROGRAM-IF APPROVED YOU CAN TAKE THE PAPER TO WHERE HE HAS SET UP TO BUY HEATING OIL
Don't have to say much about Julie's dear Seth, as you all know him well.
thanks for the tips Dana. I'll give the oil company a call tomorrow and see what can be done. I know they offer monthly payment plans.
13-9 Dolphins.
Another possession with no result....
In the red zone again.....can they DO it?????
Intercepted AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Bring back BECK!
Watching the race...then off to the auction at 5:00. Hope the quilt brings in lots of money.
