SHARON, you'll note I'm still calling him Truder, but like you I hope Shep will be his name. Some have said it sounds like a dog name, but I think that is rather silly. After all many a hooker has gone by the name of Belle and it matters not to us ! Don't ask how I know that. LOL

WVgal DANA, I have near 20/20 vision since my cataract surgeries in 2006 and I saw the black spot. It washed out in the sunlight and fog, but it's still there.
As I recall when Shep came up it was to honor Shepherstown and the fact that our male will hopefully be a Good Shepherd for the eaglets we hope he and our beautiful Belle will have. Pretty meaningful, I'd say !
I can clearly see the branch that had the offending leaves. They have fallen off. Maybe that's those leaves in the nest. Appropriate that they become part of the nest.
As far as the meaning of the name having anything to do with my choice, it doesn't. When I heard the name Shep, I had that instant peace and calmness in my heart that I have been searching for since we lost Lib. A definite "God thing" for me personally.
The spot doesn't show in JUDY's avatar, but a frame or two ahead of that one it was the eagle in the foreground who had the spot. He'd turned away when Judy caught that one.
Seems to be that time of the day again for me to hit the road I will see all of you at lunch I wanted to shop today but not for sure if I will do at lunch if I do I won't be home I hate shopping after work I just want to get out of there I hate shopping there all together because I can never just shop without dozens of questions from either customers or associates No respect I say I may just bring a shirt to throw over that way I won't be dressed as work But the associate will still ask questions
Well, it's been a satisfying morning. Thanks to those of you who got pics to share ! Going into lurk mode so I can check e-mail and newspapers. HAGD all !
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! I've been sitting on the other page for half an hour thinking what happened to the saying "We came for the eagles and stayed for the friends" thinking everyone had fledged when the eagles left! LOL!
Back to share a poem I saved some time ago. The adorable little UPS man reminded me of it.
Poem: "Why I Have A Crush On You, UPS Man" by Alice N. Persons.
Why I Have A Crush On You, UPS Man
you bring me all the things I order are never in a bad mood always have a jaunty wave as you drive away look good in your brown shorts we have an ideal uncomplicated relationship you're like a cute boyfriend with great legs who always brings the perfect present (why, it's just what I've always wanted!) and then is considerate enough to go away oh, UPS Man, let's hop in your clean brown truck and elope ! ditch your job, I'll ditch mine let's hit the road for Brownsville and tempt each other with all the luscious brown foods — roast beef, dark chocolate, brownies, Guinness, homemade pumpernickel, molasses cookies I'll make you my mama's bourbon pecan pie we'll give all the packages to kind looking strangers live in a cozy wood cabin with a brown dog or two and a black and brown tabby I'm serious, UPS Man. Let's do it. Where do I sign?
LORI, just in case SHIRLEY has gone on to take care of chores. Look at her blog of pics to see the bowling ball. You'll see why I dubbed her Cyclone Shirley !
WOW!!!! Daughter is going to have to get "snow tires" "radials won't do it". She could only do 20 mph with everyone passing her going 40mph. One guy followed her with high beams on. When she started to spin out he realized she could only do 20 mph and dimmed his lights.
I lost a whole long post to the stoopid blogger cop....wanting me to sign up as a new blogger and create a new password. Criminy. Managed to work around it all but lost my post.
You all realize that the birds have in all likelihood been making their morning and evening visits all along.....wonder if they KNOW that we weren't watching??? LOL!
See I missed the show from Belle and her Mate. Glad ya'll were around to comment on it. Guess I'd better get to the cam before the time changes, cause I'll never see them after that!
WVgal DANA, it is my DIL who has radials on her Fit. I'm positive they don't have snowtires on either of their vehicles. She was reduced to 35 all the way from Philly to their NJ home. Theirs is a stick shift and I don't know if that figures in or not. Beth has been driving for about 34 years and all but about 10 years of it in heavy duty snow country. Many things could factor in.
Man, I cannot get caught up with you all! Glad that the visit gave plenty of ops for pic!
I had 5 men here all at once!! Charlie and Donald, their other brother Wes, some friend of theirs---all messing with tearing down the old deer feeder and getting the wood-splitter going....and Bill came to adjust the new flood lights he put up last week to replace the broken sockets.
Cool UPS poem, Kay!!! Would you believe that not only did I have the same guy for 20 yrs., but it also turned out that he #1: was from down home and #2: he married thr receptionist at my dentists office!
And I remember the time after a 3' snow, state road had just opened up a pig path...he walked in over a mile to bring a package to my next door neighbor!
DanaMo...so osorry about the bomb that Andrew dropped. I think some tough love is in order!! Absolutely NO quitting the job until he has another one in his pocket....and if not in school, MUST be working....or hit the road, Jack! No free-loader adults allowed when you still have all the others to get through school!
Both Eagles appeared and a lot of Momsters were waiting and watching for them. What an exhilarating feeling when they came into the nest. I can feel it in you comments!! Took me about an hour to read all your comments from this morning! I am so very thankful for our Eagle Couple and even more thankful for those of you that were there this morning.
Okay all you loveable dogs and their humans...your tugs are in the mail with your name on it. Ask your mommy to keep an eye on the mail for you. Well, Lynne, I didn't know Puddles name at the time, so hers is addressed to you. It's not your fault, Puddles. Brother Cat is an attention hog.
If I missed anyone PLEASE let me know. I can whip one up in no time. ♥
Well, drat, the same thing happened to me, Lynn! Lost my long comment! I will start over!
Good morning! Took me forever to read all the comments. I had seen on fb that the eagles had been in the nest, so I read every comment waiting with excitment for the eagles to be spotted. lol
Glad things are hopping at your house today, Lynn. We are waiting for the ATT U-Verse man. Every since we went with them our phones sound horrible. Have never had any success with fixing the problem. They told us we needed new phones.??? Well, we finally did get new phones last week and the problem is still there. Now, they are sending someone out. Grrr!
EXCELLENT EAGLE REPORT. I could feel your excitement...Thanks for posting to all who saw them.
Good morning/ good afternoon to one and all.
27 degrees here this morning and my car looks like it is seriously frozen...LOL
ENJOY the day...it started well with seeing the eagles and reading about them. Thanks all.
DANAMO sorry you are worried about Andrew...I hope it figures out soon and that he understands he needs something to do and not just hang around the house...Thinkingof him and you today...
65 right now and heading up into the 70's and then the front comes through this evening. They forecast down into the 30's for Friday morning. Time to move plants into the greenhouse.
More work on the addresses again today. I do not like sitting there typing in all of that but I have procrastinated long enough. lol
LOL, Lori----nothing Chippendalish about this group!! Bill is certainly the best, but also the oldest!! He has now decided that his head is losing too much heat----he was wearing a fedora! That's a first! Asked him if I was to start calling him Mr. Sinatra!
Wood is all split and stacked! Tarp is over the largest pile that is out in the open. Just pray that I will have the strength to manage it after surgery.
Hoda I know you mentioned that Linda said she was going to be busy for a few days BUT I wish she could check in with us soon.
DanaMo - I have lived through all of the commotions of 5 children but there isn't any one answer. It will work out & my advice is to Offer it Up and ask for guidance. It may not work out the way you wish but for Andrew, I pray he finds answers for himself and Starts to Talk! Perhaps one of his siblings can get more out of him.
Daughter does great driving in snow. When she lived around here she even had her 944 Porsche out in snow and it did great.
She knows to not use the brake to gear down. Keeps you from sliding.
DanaMo that is so great about how your Dad is coming along. Recovery prayers are still going on.
My UPS man I found out his Mother-In_Law lived just up the street. When she decided not to eat anymore and wanted to die so she could be with her husband. He and his wife moved her to their house. Their daughter, husband and child was living with them. So they took over their grandmothers house up the street here. They had a yard sale-I seem a Big Screen tv and seen the price and decided that was for Ed and me. I had gone out with his cousin to drive around to yard sales. Coming back I seen Ed walking down from around that area were the tv was. When I got home he said I got something I want to show you and I think you are going to say buy it. So I walked up the street to that house with Ed. I seen the guy and said, "Oh your our UPS guy". My husband talked to me on the side about the tv. I said, "Yes". He told the guy, "You just sold a tv". The UPS guy said, "No I didn't sir". Ed said, "Why not". UPS guy said, "Because I already sold it to her pointing at me". lol I knew Ed wanted that Big Screen!! So he and his wife just rolled it down the road rolled it up the ramp and into the living room and he hooked it up to everything and got it going for us. Price $350.00 with inside surround sound. Yes I still have it and it works great!! ( :
I find out later on that the girl that moved in next to me that has the two boys. The one I babysit the dog at her house. I found out that was her grandmother that lived up there where they were having the yard sale. Plus she was just divorced from one of my fathers relatives lol small world... Oh the lady did die from starvation. That is what the doctor put down on the death certificate.
Mema Jo Sound like Easton I and II need to have some BIG JAIL time!!!!!! Now that is what you do call "father like son-son like father".
LynnI think you are going to have plenty of help after your surgery. I don't think you will be bringing in the wood.
I had been giving it some thought but with Mother being sick off and on. I have been spending more time in there. Plus taking her places she needs to go. So I felt I would not be home for long times during some days. Maybe more than few. So I was praying you would find someone. That would love that puppy♥
Off to be active with my day...see you all later this afternoon/evening probably your time...car needs defrosting first...LOL...thank heavens for warm toasty coats..."North Face" is what I am wearing this year...
Oh, thank you so much. It is so nice to be here for a visit.
Contemplating signing up for an Evelyn Wood speed reading course.
Seems Kay is continuing to improve, DanaMo's dad is doing well enough to renew vows, the eagles made a visit, Lynn has taken up with a Chippendale that wears a fedora and has split and stacked her wood, Shirley has taken up with a cyclone, DanaMo has a problem wannabe adult, Lori's gotten dinged up from mailing out tugs (those boats can be very difficult to mail - did she try UPS?), and Lynn is going to be just five minutes away for surgery.
I've missed you all. Finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. Darth is doing well and driving again. Police class tonight. Wannabe adults in the morning. Then a few days to catch up.
LYNN, Wow ! 5 men at your service--impressive ! What a great UPS guy you had and what a small world this really is. Liesl undoubtedly loves the trainer---nice to know she'll be expected to behave so your hard work will not be compromised !!!!
LOLLY, good luck with the phones and thanks for your sweet words to me. The avatar is great and certainly easy on our eyes, fair lady !
HODA, 27° ! Big ugh. Hope we don't see that temp around here anytime soon.
JUDIE, it's wonderful good to "see" you. You may need another mental health day when this week is over. Glad Darth is doing so much better !
I just talked to Barb. She's doing well and will go home tomorrow. Speech a bit slurred due to pain killer, but with it enough to say thanks for all the prayers ! I second that emotion !!!!
LOL....I saw an ugly UPS guy last week at the beach!!!
Hurray, Judie! SO glad you stopped in! And great news that Darth is able to drive, so you no longer have to play chaueffer!!
Yes, Dana, Maxine's yard is fenced. She has three dogs herself. And she will contantly re-in force the lessons learned!! Lots of plusses to having her keep Liesl.....but right, she MUST give her back!!!! Thanks for all generous thoughts of helping.
Kay, can't believe that you aren't getting ANY of this crazy WINTER weather in fall!! Lucky you. It was 29 here again this AM.....so Hoda in Canada and those of us here in the mid-Atlantic area are pretty much on a par for now.....strange, huh??
Kay, it's amazing that Barb doesn't have to go thru' rehab. My Mom was SO angry--they didn't tell her ahead of time that she HAD to go to a rehab unit for 10 days. Will be curious to see what they do here when Wanda has hers done.
VERY Good yoga class and I ran my errands and now all caught up with the blog.
SOOOOOOOOOO HAPPY to see Judie checked in and Darth is driving.
It has warmed up considerably and I am vry happy the snow tires are on as the snow keeps coming down the mountain....I do have to find out what this song was about, every time my mind thinks the snow is coming down the mountain I say this is a song, so google here I come...
LYNN, are your Mom & Sis having low temps yet ? Strange weather patterns all over the country. Barb will have some out patient therapy soon. Two years ago her hubby had both knees done--same deal, right home from the hospital. A friend here had 1st knee replacement a year ago, went to rehab facility for a week, then home. It still bothers her a lot. She had the 2nd done two months ago, went right home and it's doing better than the first ???!!! I'm lunching with her at Buffalo Wings next Weds. First time for both of us--is there anything besides the Pickle we should be sure to order ?
Lynn so glad you are happy with who is keeping Liesl. Yes you will miss her. Though you know she can't jump up on you. Plus you will know she will be well taken care of.
Good evening my friends! How is everyone? Been watching the Decorah cam all day and of course our cam. Still working against my will, cuz it has been that kind of day! Praying for an evening visit from our eagles. There is no cam like home cam but I love that Decorah cam. Dad brought in a rabbit earlier today (YUK!) and Mom a fish. They call them mom and dad, no names. Been on the chat with them some but too hard to keep up with.
Eagle at Decorah now, cleaning up after lunch I think. There are a bunch of mice that come to the nest in the early morning before daylight, funniest thing ever. The people on the chat called them the cleaning crew. LOL!!
I got some Almonds to snack on tonight. Next time I go to that store I'll have to pick up more. Hope they will have them. 2 packs for $1.00 1.5oz bags roasted and shelled from California.
Been working on cleaning out my picture file.....putting some in folders and deleting others. What a job!! Got about half-way done. Now it's time for something to eat!!
LOL, Kay.....will tell you my preference: the dry rub salt and vinegar boneless wings along with the pickles!!!
Hey, maybe rehab is TOO soon after surgery??? But Mom never had any trouble, so guess not. Individual results, I guess. Or maybe living in a warm climate??? She was in FL then.
They've had some cold temps outside St. Louis, too, Kay. But no snow!!
In from working in the yard. Jack and I moved plants into the greenhouse and then I mowed/mulched leaves. Very pleasant out! Front coming through and to get into the 30's tonight but tomorrow night frost and possible freeze. Yuk!
Lynn, I am so happy for you that Liesl has a great place to go while you are in the hospital. I know that is a big relief to you. (((hugs)))
oh dear, I might have tossed my cookies this morning had I tuned it at breakfast to read of ketchup covered pancakes and yogurt a la pickles....
Glad to see that Sharon has put the Glouck away finally though....and my my, Lynn had a house full of men this morning, including one impersonating Sinatra, and Kay was writing poetry to her UPS man in shorts, while Cyclone was preparing to swing her golden ball.
Yes even though Mother changed her doctors appointment from Fri till this coming Tuesday. I don't think this time she is going to be all better when she goes to him.
I try to help her as much as I can. Even did some shopping for her. When I called her at home she would tell me what she needed. I would go up and down the isles and get it. She said that helped her so much. AND DO YOU KNOW SHE WANTED TO GIVE ME MONEY FOR DOING IT!!!!!! I love her so much. She and I have laughed at the craziest things.
Well I have to admit I was hoping that I could see them tonight...I do not think so though...I will try again tomorrow. You all saw them this morning and that was good.
WV DANA to see them in the AM means around 4:00 in the morning for me...I will see if my sleep cycle gets me there...too early though...I do not think I will be up but you never know...
Wow---an "extremely promising new development" for cystic fibrosis! An old BF lost his grandson at 12 to it.....a year after having a lung transplant. What great news!
I tell you all ... I am loosing things around this house like crazy. I can't find my Steeler watch. Now I made sure I took off my braclet from Colorado before I went out to give out candy. Now I can't find it!!!! I want my braclet please God. I'll be my 85 to be 86 in May Mother. "I think someone is coming in this house!! It can't be you (meaning me) you don't have a key. I think I have a robber and he hides somewhere until I lay something down. Then he takes it. He some how knows how to get in and out of this house."
OMG---a child abducted by a man in a ski mask.....three children in a corn field taking pics of a fire and this guy appeared and snatched one of the little boys. This is in Jefferson Co. near S'town.
LYNNE 2 no heat in the temperatures reported back east and I am now worried about you and Steve...Do you have woodstove? Do you have electric heaters? You are on the internet so you do have electricity. I think I want to phone LINDA tonight to find out how she is doing...
So much for the infrared light....what a joke. I'm giving up----even if they show up now, we won't be able to see much. I'm going to the sofa and get my knee up.
OH LYNN I know how you feel, it must mean that there is not much of a light from the moon, it is the last quarter. I am glad you arer looking after your knee and am very pleased for you and LIESL that you managed to arrange a good place for her while you are doing the surgery...you are so very efficient, if I was closer I would have been happy to help...
oh Lynn, we have 2 space heaters that we have been using. Not ideal but at least it's something. Lolly, in order to withhold rent for no heat (and heat IS required by law) I'd have to petition the MD. Attorney General's office for a hearing in order to put the rent money into escrow until the heat issue is resolved. If we did that, I would expect a retaliatory eviction. And at the very least, my Landlord's father in law, Ken, my FORMER landlord that Steve has been working for while searching for a real job, would surely NOT have him working any more. There is really nothing we can do with no other place to go to live at the moment. And they know we need them more than they need us.
We were supposed to have had heat by Saturday evening, but we didn't, and he worked most of the day Sunday trying to get it hooked up. THere was much banging and swearing, no comment as to what the progress is, and no work done since then.
A large amount of oil was spilled onto our parking area as well during the moving out of the big tank. I didn't realize it, and on Sunday after dark, when Steve came home, I went out to greet him, came back in and walked across the carpet, the BEIGE carpet, and to my horror I had stepped in the spilled oil and now there is oil all over the carpet.
The following day, Steve mentioned this to Jamie (Ken's daughter, Kyle's wife). She said....are you ready.....Well, that's why you should take your shoes off before you enter the house. WTF??? NOT, oh geez, I'm so sorry he left a mess and we'll get the spill cleaned up. Oh no, nothing like that. It became OUR fault that there are oil foot prints in the rug. Go figure.
she said under no circumstances are we to try to clean the oil from the carpet. She will contact us as to what to do about cleaning it once she calls the carpet company that installed it to see what they recommend. She doesn't want the carpet ruined. LOL LOL LOL!!! I'll GUARANTEE you they didn't pay more than $1.98 a square foot for this cheap crap carpet that after just over 2 years already is worn down to the pad in the most walked on area!!!!!
Lynne2 I wished your Mil and Fil would go ahead and move. Get a place where they have an apartment attached to it. Cause they will need you and Steve's help. That would give you two a good place to live. I have prayed they would go ahead and put it on the market
I know I can't vote for the eagle but on the O/C he has been called Ben for over a month and I really like it Ben and Belle has a nice ring to it Like the Liberty Bell. Sorry I haven't been around I had the chance to take an unexpected trip to Baltimore only had two hours to pack and just got back this eve. I hope everyone is fine and sweet eagle dreams, I am so pooped. Glad to be home. Chat soon
Lynne, this whole mess goes from absurd to just plain criminal! Or maybe it's the other way around. What a bunch of morons they all are. Wish one of us could win a lottery!
Hi Onewith! Wow, you were pretty dern close to me if you were in B'more! Glad to have you back!
All name suggestions are welcome. I think Ben and Belle does have a certain "ring" to it, what with Ben Franklin being such an American icon, but....he did NOT want the eagle to be our national bird, he instead wanted the Wild Turkey!
There have been, I think, over 30 different names suggested so far! LOL! This will be interesting!
Lynn, they are just very wealthy people who clearly believe that they are doing us a favor with everything. For all that they have, however, they are just not KIND. And I feel sorry for them.
SHE even made a point of telling Steve that when the old big tank we were sharing with the guy up in the apartment was drained, Kyle put half of that oil in our new tank, and half in his, and told us we would have FREE oil to use for about a month. FREE??? Oil is included in our rent up til now, there has been no new delivery since March...that oil has been bought and paid for. DUH! She also made a point of telling us that while we would now be paying for our own oil, that our rent will not go up just yet. HUH? Our rent DID go up as the payment now doesn't include oil...ergo, more profit for them! They really think we are SO STUPID!!! That's the comical part! SO we just go along and don't point out the errors....
Hoda, we've had good strong sunshine for 2-3 days and most of the leaves are gone. If the solar cells were any good, they should hold enough power to keep the light on for at least 6 hrs. :(
Wow that is weird I am also doing pictures I am transferring all to disc What a PIA big time with me having issues I thought be best am transferring and deleting as I go along I only had 94.4GB left out of 288GB so time to clean house I think I have never deleted any at all since 2007 getting this puter I have burned on to disc and gave to Angie but thought I just would do all over and be safe and just have a clean only up-to-date pictures I think about it I rarely looks at the old I have enough on wall with out looking in puter
777 message wow as you can tell by my above I am only two hours behind reading
on a brighter note....I got to do something yesterday that I had been hoping to figure out a way to do for a while now...
There is this house I pass on the way to work every day. Little, very pretty stone house with an amazing garden and a little greenhouse too! They have the most beautiful things growing and it's such a pleasure to see! I always wanted to tell them how much I enjoyed the beauty of their hard work, but didn't want to just go ring the doorbell out of the clear blue sky. I know it's an elderly couple that live there. Anyway, on the way home yesterday, there was a little sign at the end of the driveway that said Free Shasta Daisies, and there were 3 pots sitting there. So I pulled in, and was happy to see the woman coming to greet me! I took one of the pots (they are cut back for the season, perennials) and then we chatted for a few minutes. Her name is Linda, but everyone calls her Lynn! I told her how much I enjoyed the flowers and thanked her for their hard work. She mentioned how badly many of their flowers and veggies were destroyed by Stinkbugs. Anyway, I was able to thank her, AND get a new plant for next season! She said she often puts things out and to stop by again if I saw anything out there!
that does seem an unusual time, Lynn. Maybe there are out of towners coming in tomorrow that they wanted to accommodate? Or maybe so folks could work a half day if they couldn't take a whole day off?
Jo----I take it that Criminal Minds either wasn't on last week or was a repeat, right? it didn't record, and when I looked online, there was no episode listed for last week....hope I didn't miss it!
LYNN, since you hadn't mentioned the knee for a while I hoped it was pain free. Bummer. Now it's second in line for attention, I know.:(
LYNNE, sweet story about stopping for the daisies ! It must have done the lady, Lynn, a lot of good to visit with you, too ! I won't even tell you what I think of your landlord---it would send my B/P soaring ! You and Steve have a lot more patience than I could muster up.
well, Kay, it's not like we have a choice right now but to deal with what we are handed. I just keep telling myself that the Lord works in mysterious ways....

Colonel Beau Boomerang
I'm guessing that is Belle. Not sure.
I grab a pic of her just now
Good morning.
Split just happened.
Sure nice to see our eagles this morning.
In truly believing that God is in charge and there are no coincidences, just Godincidences, I think God gave me this time away from seeing them for some healing. I don't want to break out the Glock anymore!
Beauteous.
Poof Belle.
now I can get ready
Poof, gone! What a treat!!!!
I have gotten a lot of pics
gone
Ahhh, so nice. Now to pack Hunter's lunch.
SEE hOW NICE THIS WORKS OUT ME WORKING 830 to 530 If I was working my reg hours I would have missed the visit
SHARON, you'll note I'm still calling him Truder, but like you I hope Shep will be his name. Some have said it sounds like a dog name, but I think that is rather silly. After all many a hooker has gone by the name of Belle and it matters not to us ! Don't ask how I know that. LOL
What I was typing before the eagles came in was: If you click on my name, go to my blog that says "Out and About" you will see my recent pictures. That club has been raising monies and is going to place more jars around. For the 2 girls that were badly burnt in the fire on Boyd Ave. Martinsburg on Sept. 23rd Isabella Nell age 12 and Kali Basler age 13. Both are in Johns Hopkins. WVgal DANA, I have near 20/20 vision since my cataract surgeries in 2006 and I saw the black spot. It washed out in the sunlight and fog, but it's still there.
I still need to look at all the names. Think about the reason an other name besides Shep would fit our new male eagle.
I put 5 pictures in album
Oh good Kay I will try enlarging my pictures. That is going to take awhile lol because I got so many.
By the picture JudyE has as her avatar do you know which one had the black spot?
JUDYE did you click on my blog "Out and About"???????
As I recall when Shep came up it was to honor Shepherstown and the fact that our male will hopefully be a Good Shepherd for the eaglets we hope he and our beautiful Belle will have. Pretty meaningful, I'd say !
I LOVE YOUR AVATAR SISSY LOVE THE SUNSET SOOOOOO PRETTY
I can clearly see the branch that had the offending leaves. They have fallen off. Maybe that's those leaves in the nest. Appropriate that they become part of the nest.
As far as the meaning of the name having anything to do with my choice, it doesn't. When I heard the name Shep, I had that instant peace and calmness in my heart that I have been searching for since we lost Lib. A definite "God thing" for me personally.
The spot doesn't show in JUDY's avatar, but a frame or two ahead of that one it was the eagle in the foreground who had the spot. He'd turned away when Judy caught that one.
Right on, SHARON, follow your heart !
JUDY, do you get a significant discount as an employee ? Guess that would make it worth the aggravation.
JudyE's 2nd picture she posted in the album shows the black spot.
Anyone else going to post pics in the album before I get started. I'd like to wait and give you all a chance.
LOL!
Sorry, Lori. Guess you were busy when we split.
Hunter is on the bus and headed to school. I do have some chores to do, but want to go try out my new bowling ball sometime today.
Sure did.
See Them.
..
Earlier, when they arrived...
Saw them both...
Wow, Wow
☺
back to work here...'later xo
Back to share a poem I saved some time ago. The adorable little UPS man reminded me of it.
Poem: "Why I Have A Crush On You, UPS Man" by Alice N. Persons.
Why I Have A Crush On You, UPS Man
you bring me all the things I order
are never in a bad mood
always have a jaunty wave as you drive away
look good in your brown shorts
we have an ideal uncomplicated relationship
you're like a cute boyfriend with great legs
who always brings the perfect present
(why, it's just what I've always wanted!)
and then is considerate enough to go away
oh, UPS Man, let's hop in your clean brown truck and elope !
ditch your job, I'll ditch mine
let's hit the road for Brownsville
and tempt each other
with all the luscious brown foods —
roast beef, dark chocolate,
brownies, Guinness, homemade pumpernickel, molasses cookies
I'll make you my mama's bourbon pecan pie
we'll give all the packages to kind looking strangers
live in a cozy wood cabin
with a brown dog or two
and a black and brown tabby
I'm serious, UPS Man. Let's do it.
Where do I sign?
Pretty funny, Kay! My UPS man is pretty hunky. :)
SHIRLEY, what color is your new ball?
LORI, just in case SHIRLEY has gone on to take care of chores. Look at her blog of pics to see the bowling ball. You'll see why I dubbed her Cyclone Shirley !
Swirly shades of brown, gold and black, Lori. Pics on FB and on my blog.
Guess a picture is worth .....
That's awesome, Shirley!
Sorry, I guess I forgot to look at the picture when you posted it. Feeling dinged out today.
Oh, I hope you feel better soon, Lori.
Thank you, Shirley. I feel fine, my head just isn't cooperating.
WOW!!!! Daughter is going to have to get "snow tires" "radials won't do it". She could only do 20 mph with everyone passing her going 40mph. One guy followed her with high beams on. When she started to spin out he realized she could only do 20 mph and dimmed his lights.
Her tires are good radials. Kay I thought you said your daughter had radials on and did great in snow. Are you sure they weren't snow tires??
I lost a whole long post to the stoopid blogger cop....wanting me to sign up as a new blogger and create a new password. Criminy. Managed to work around it all but lost my post.
Morning all.
Cold one here!!! Hate it.
You all realize that the birds have in all likelihood been making their morning and evening visits all along.....wonder if they KNOW that we weren't watching??? LOL!
I sure do wish we could get a setup like Decorah. Steve?
Morning, all!
Kay, I still love KRAPdashian!!!! What a great name!
DanaMo...bet you all are so excited about the weekend activities. SO very glad your Dad is doing so well!
Yep, the light machine for Seasonal Affective Disorder would probably help you a lot!
I MISSED IT!!! BOO HOO
Good Fantastic Eagle Sighting Morning!
Arrests in Wild Pony shooting finally
Okay all you loveable dogs and their humans...your tugs are in the mail with your name on it. Ask your mommy to keep an eye on the mail for you. Well, Lynne, I didn't know Puddles name at the time, so hers is addressed to you. It's not your fault, Puddles. Brother Cat is an attention hog.
If I missed anyone PLEASE let me know. I can whip one up in no time. ♥
Lynn, sounds like Chippendale's of WV over there!
Well, drat, the same thing happened to me, Lynn! Lost my long comment! I will start over!
Good morning! Took me forever to read all the comments. I had seen on fb that the eagles had been in the nest, so I read every comment waiting with excitment for the eagles to be spotted. lol
And, what a morning group it was. Fantastic!
DanaMo, yes, sounds like it is tough love time! Time to make him sit down and TALK. If he is going to live at home it is time to be responsible!!
Kay, loved your poem! Next time we get a delivery and I see the UPS man, I am going to laugh!
Oh, how I would love to be with the morning group to watch the early morning nest visits, but it is just way too early for me!
Grrr!
Kay, meant to say something yesterday. So, happy you are feeling so much better. It is truly wonderful to be feeling good! Bless you! (((hugs)))
I do not like sitting there typing in all of that but I have procrastinated long enough. lol
Howdy, Hoda! Good to see you on here. Have been talking to myself. However, my coffee is finished and time to start my day.
Today I am thankful to be me and to be in great health. Thank you, Lord!
Have a great day! (((Hugs)))
Eating lunch with Jenny
BBILW
Hi, Lolly!
LOL, Lori----nothing Chippendalish about this group!! Bill is certainly the best, but also the oldest!! He has now decided that his head is losing too much heat----he was wearing a fedora! That's a first! Asked him if I was to start calling him Mr. Sinatra!
And Jo and Hoda, too!!!
Wood is all split and stacked! Tarp is over the largest pile that is out in the open. Just pray that I will have the strength to manage it after surgery.
Hoda I know you mentioned that Linda said she was going to be busy for a few days BUT I wish she could check in with
us soon.
DanaMo - I have lived through all of the commotions of 5 children but there
isn't any one answer. It will work out & my advice is to Offer it Up and ask for guidance. It may not work out the way you wish but for Andrew, I
pray he finds answers for himself and Starts to Talk! Perhaps one of his siblings can get more out of him.
WhooHoo! Trainer can and WILL keep Liesl while I'm in the hospital!!!!! Relief!
I'll say Whoo Hoo...
yay for you Lynn, and Liesl
Now make sure the trainer promises to give her back !!!
Raschida's first car was a Porsche a 944.
Daughter does great driving in snow. When she lived around here she even had her 944 Porsche out in
snow and it did great.
She knows to not use the brake to
gear down. Keeps you from sliding.
DanaMo that is so great about how
your Dad is coming along. Recovery
prayers are still going on.
My UPS man I found out his Mother-In_Law lived just up the street. When she decided not to eat anymore and wanted to die so she could be with her husband. He
and his wife moved her to their house. Their daughter, husband and child was living with them. So they took over their grandmothers
house up the street here. They had a yard sale-I seem a Big Screen tv and seen the price and decided
that was for Ed and me. I had gone out with his cousin to drive around to yard sales. Coming back I seen Ed walking down from around that area were the tv was. When I got home he said I got something I want to show you and I think
you are going to say buy it.
Lynn does trainer have a fenced yard?
I had been giving it some thought but with Mother being sick off and on. I have been spending more time in there. Plus taking her places she needs to go. So I felt I would not be home for long times during some days. Maybe more than few. So I was praying you would find someone. That would love that puppy♥
Off to be active with my day...see you all later this afternoon/evening probably your time...car needs defrosting first...LOL...thank heavens for warm toasty coats..."North Face" is what I am wearing this year...
Thanks Jo. I know, but when you are in it, it is so hard! I just want him to be successful (whatever the definition of that is for him) and happy!
Home for lunch Time changes this weekned don;'t forget and that means up earlier for sunrise
I love watching the shadows on the nest
I got a Judy story Ya wanna laugh
I went to the freezer last nite for ice cubes
and when I got there
They were all evaporated It has been over a month since I used them all four trays empty due to evaporating LOL
Have you ever noticed there are no BAD LOOKIN UPS MEN
Knock knock! May I come in, please?
I'll be back this weekend♥
Hi there, Judie! You have been missed! Thanks for checking in!
Good News from Lynn for Liesl's sleep overs.
Great to hear from you Judie. Miss you on here - you always keep me up to date on things. Glad Darth is driving.
Love you two ♥ ♥
Hi Judie!!
Good to see you on here again, and to know that you are almost through the pile of work.
Just got back from bowling practice. I may try to go again tomorrow.
So glad you found someone to keep Liesl, Lynn.
JUDYE, I beg to differ, the UPS man on my route is nice, but homely as a mud fence !
Lori - What was the organization that Kate belongs to for the bulldogs. Did
they do well with selling the tuggies?
Christie has come and gone.....Liesl should be worn out from all the activity here today!
Glad to hear that Barb is doing so well, Kay.
Famous last words.....Liesl is running through the house in circles with one of her tugs!!!
jEY jEY jUDIE! nICE TO SEE YA!
Lynn, glad Liesl will have a temporary home away from home...is your consult next week?
Getting ready to head out, going to get fabric for dining rooms chairs for/with DIL...
Happy evening eagle viewing ☺
Yes, Paula....next Weds.
I am heading out shortly to meet up with Alexis and her dad. I am probably
going to miss the visit but I know you
will all make comments.
I am just so so happy about the way
things are coming into place for you Lynn. Now I am wanting the consultation
to be all that you desire. ♥
Yes had my knee replacement left hosital on Friday and began therapy on Monday.
LOL!!
Yes Sharon I have been on Decorah chat. They do go fast on there. That is a good cam though. They won't name them. They tell you
they aren't pets. lol
I got some Almonds to snack on tonight. Next time I go to that store I'll have to pick up more. Hope they will have them. 2 packs for $1.00 1.5oz bags roasted and shelled from California.
I love the American Flag on the back of the pack and says made in USA. ( :
Been working on cleaning out my picture file.....putting some in folders and deleting others. What a job!! Got about half-way done. Now it's time for something to eat!!
Lynn, I keep saying I am going to do that on my computer and on Facebook but just ain't got around to it yet!!
My cam keeps going black and I have to refresh....twice now in 4 minutes. Wonder what that's all about?? :(
Sissy, too bad you are running behind today!!! Get 'er done!!
Ugh, Dana---I hate almonds.
No worry about Liesl JUMPING....and I will have her home with me as soon as I come home!!!
(((hugs)))
Light on!
Night light just came on...where are you eagles?
oh dear, I might have tossed my cookies this morning had I tuned it at breakfast to read of ketchup covered pancakes and yogurt a la pickles....
Glad to see that Sharon has put the Glouck away finally though....and my my, Lynn had a house full of men this morning, including one impersonating Sinatra, and Kay was writing poetry to her UPS man in shorts, while Cyclone was preparing to swing her golden ball.
Can't leave you women alone for a minute!
Sorry about your mom DanaWV and prayers for her, and Prayers for DanaMo and her Andrew as well.
Lynn, I'm so glad you have someone trustworthy to care for little Liesl for you!! I know that is a tremendous load off your mind.
Hi Lynne so happy to see you coming in with us gals. ( :
Yes those receipes this morning were NOT ones for me to save LOL
I'm hurting too bad to have men around hee hee
Home from work was out side talking to neighbor Darn blogger cop ate my last message try again I said I see no visit I see Black and White nest
nite lite on early tonight???
Yes even though Mother changed her doctors appointment from Fri till this coming Tuesday. I don't think this time she is going to be all better when she goes to him.
I try to help her as much as I can. Even did some shopping for her. When I called her at home she would tell me what she needed. I would go up and down the isles and get it. She said that helped her so much. AND DO YOU KNOW SHE WANTED TO GIVE ME MONEY FOR DOING IT!!!!!! I love her so much. She and I have laughed at the craziest things.
WOW LOLLY you get that cold in TX
and KAY I also want to say I am so pleased about you being gone all day the other day GREAT news
is it too dark for a visit now?
ok last nite when I was trying to change my AVATAR they showed up let see if it works again going now but LM
Well so much for that idea Avatar changed and I am so thankful I have a charge card I got to use to go on vacation and meet the best bunch of Peeps
It's pretty dark in Frederick...I'd have a hard time flying through trees, branches and leaves. :)
Ahhhh, JudyE, you're wonderful! Thanks. We thought you were pretty great, too.
Well I have to admit I was hoping that I could see them tonight...I do not think so though...I will try again tomorrow. You all saw them this morning and that was good.
Hello Hoda! Yes, a beautifully long visit with both this morning. Very special.
JudyE I told you that you was just like I thought you was going to be. All bubblie and happy kind of person. I love meeting you ( :
Hey, Lynne! Good you are here!!
How's life?
Judy, it is very dark----so light not early!!
BBL
Hoda hope you will get to see the eagles tomorrow in the AM. It was good seeing them. We all have been craving to see our nest and eagles.
hee hee I took too many pictures lol
I very much enjoyed reading about it LORI good reporting...THANKS
It will be wonderful to finally get a good name for the male.
WV DANA to see them in the AM means around 4:00 in the morning for me...I will see if my sleep cycle gets me there...too early though...I do not think I will be up but you never know...
Yes, Judy, we get that cold. It comes right down off the Rockies, straight at us! I am in north TX, does not get that cold in south Texas.
Wow---an "extremely promising new development" for cystic fibrosis! An old BF lost his grandson at 12 to it.....a year after having a lung transplant. What great news!
The nest is getting dark and still no eagles.
He some how knows how to get in and out of this house."
oh Lynn, life is GRAND. We still have no heat.
OMG---a child abducted by a man in a ski mask.....three children in a corn field taking pics of a fire and this guy appeared and snatched one of the little boys. This is in Jefferson Co. near S'town.
Fire is an orchard barn fire.
Lynne.......how are you keeping warm????? I am so worried about you.
St. Anthony, please help Dana find her stuff.
I will tell you the same thing I tell my kids, Dana: it didn't get up and walk away!!!!!
Lynne, do not think you owe the landlord rent when he does not take care of the heat!
Time to go prepare some din din!
Go figure.
but wait, it gets better.....
she said under no circumstances are we to try to clean the oil from the carpet. She will contact us as to what to do about cleaning it once she calls the carpet company that installed it to see what they recommend. She doesn't want the carpet ruined. LOL LOL LOL!!! I'll GUARANTEE you they didn't pay more than $1.98 a square foot for this cheap crap carpet that after just over 2 years already is worn down to the pad in the most walked on area!!!!!
oh but I guess if we took our shoes off before entering the house, the carpet wouldn't wear out as fast either.....
Lynne, I surely hope you get heat soon. That is just not right.
Lynne2 I wished your Mil and Fil would go ahead and move. Get a place where they have an apartment attached to it. Cause they will need you and Steve's help. That would give you two a good place to live. I have prayed they would go ahead and put it on the market
Oh, dear----Tournament of Champions on Jeopardy...the teacher from Ocracoke didn't do goot at all. He's out on the first round. :(
That should be GOOD, of course.....duh!
they won't put it up this time of year Dana. Won't go up on the market til spring.
It's better for us if they keep thinking we are stupid!
I am catching up on Desperate Housewives
oh YES, thank GOD for the sun over the last few days....we open the drapes in the big south window in the living room and it warms it up nicely!
HODA just getting to your 4am comment take extra Tylenol PM tonight and set the alarm LOL
Robyn and Tori are home from Hopkins!!!!
Well guys I want to get caught up on some shows before CM starts BBL
Hello Onewith,
Welcome back. We are considering a long list of names.
I think several of us have a problem with the fact that Ben Franklin did not want the eagle to be our national bird. But it does go well with Belle.
Lynne, stupid is as stupid does: it's THEM, not you!!!! If they think you are stupid, they need to look in the mirror!!!
Sorry, but I just don't feel Ben AT ALL. No ring in it to me, and doesn't have any significant meaning IMHO.
John's memorial service is tomorrow afternoon. 4pm. Unusual time, isn't it?
Trying to get my manicure done....geesh---it's been 10 days!
Lynn have you heard anymore about the kidnapped boy?????????
on a brighter note....I got to do something yesterday that I had been hoping to figure out a way to do for a while now...
Hedgie/Lynn-So glad you got things worked out.
And BTW I love your avatar. I think I will go do that!
Good night everyone. Almost time for Criminal Minds and an Amstel Light.
that does seem an unusual time, Lynn.
Have I mentioned that my knee is no better at all??? Injection had no real impact......so guessing that it really is a tear. ARGH!
No, Dana.....nothing new about the abduction. They often take those things to a private channel.
ooh NO Lynn....not good news about your knee. So sorry. But the knee will have to wait!
Oh, Lynn, so sorry about your knee.
SPLIT COMING UP RIGHT ABOUT NOW !
XO ☺
MAKE THAT RIGHT NOW !!
HELLO EAGLE PALS..
well, Kay, it's not like we have a choice right now but to deal with what we are handed. I just keep telling myself that the Lord works in mysterious ways....
so I have 200 posts to read
What a nice story about the people living in the pretty stone house. Lynne. I am so happy that you got to meet this lady.
