Steve is the man who runs the pro shop. I was told that he is the one to talk to when one wishes to purchase a ball. That is the info on Steve. He was very helpful and gave me a few bowling pointers.

Wahoo ! I brought you luck by staying away today. Still cam up, our eagles visit, the leafy limb is gone, LYNN gets an appointment to arrange her surgery, SHIRLEY gets a new bowling ball n' bag....
I spent the day running around town--haircut, gas fill up @40 a gallon off with Kroger Rewards Card, Trader Joe's, Meijers for a new coffee pot and grosseries, the pharmacy. Got home about 5, paid no attention to the answering machine and was changing into my comfies when the doorbell rang. It was sil, Hugh, sent by Julie to check on me because I'd not been on line or answering the phone ! She'd left messages both places inviting me over for a dinner roasted of chicken and root veggies, salad...
Of course I put my clothes back on in a hurry and hied myself off to their house. Julie is not yet used to my feeling so good and couldn't imagine me not being home all day !
LOL, LYNN, you were looking for me, too. Didn't mean to set off alarms, but I am getting back to my old habits again and certainly like feeling so good !
Glad I made it back in time to say, Happy Birthday to you, Dear Andy ! All Saints Day seems appropriate for you and my darling granddaughter, Dana Kay, who turned 21 today ! Two special women who deserved a very special day !♥♥♥♥♥♥♥

I heard from my sister Carol in Windsor Connecticut. The power will be off there for another 5 to 7 days!!! She had to leave the house and is staying with her son at a friend's house and her husband went to check on their house in Maine...I am so glad you all have electricity...

Night light is on.
It is considerably colder now than it has been today.It is on its way to 27 degrees F. BRRRR!!! I have the heat on and expect that I will have to scrape frost off of the wind shield again tomorrow...Today there was a need to do so. We have laws against idling the cars so we would not create pollution, so starting it to let the windshield defrost is not really an option that will work this winter...
LOLLY are you close to the area that is getting dust storms...CBS has some awful pictures...winds are strong...stay safe.
I have been in on the other computer. Working on my address book. This is going to be a long slow process. It is learning as I go. Grrrr! Hope I like this program. Have not tried to print anything yet.
We had a lot of wind today but no dust storm. Did not hear that on the news, will have to listen at 10.Certainly do not need dust!! Ever since my sinus infection or whatever I had, I have had a lot of drainage. Yuck! tmi

Aric messaged me last night that his food account is running low. First message for money/food. I remember the same thing happened with Andrew first semester. It's so hard to judge which food plan to get. I went with the middle of the road and he's coming up short. Will need to send groceries back with him and add money to the account. Glad I have it right now to give him!

DANAMO, I'm glad you can send Aric what he needs to survive, too ! It's comforting to know he's eating well. Read a report yesterday which says the Freshman 15 is a myth and that relatively few students gain that kind of weight. My Eileen did. She went hog wild over soft serve topped with peanut butter, for one thing. By second semester at Denison U. she'd realized what was happening and trimmed right down.

Yes, Andrew didn't spend nearly as much second semester after I upped his plan, and at the Mount you didn't get refunds so he ended up spending it on candy to bring home to siblings, nice and all, but a waste all the same. Aric says he is eating 3 meals a day, but he is exercising more because of the beautiful facility they have there so I guess he is burning calories.
D-MO, I'll ask Kate. She bought one for me and her sister.
hummm...found several on Amazon. Recommendations on brand?
I even see light bulbs. Maybe I should buy those and change all the bulbs in the house!
They are great in the house because it's much truer light, not as yellow as those tubes that hum. :)

Have to brag on my granddog, Malcolm. Yesterday the vet deemed him "very healthy" as she updated all his shots and gave him a pedicure. It takes a muzzle and about 3 people to hold him down and give him treats for that pedi ! He is not the same rather pathetic dog we picked up at the animal shelter 10 months ago ! He and Seth may join me for dinner tonight if plans Julie and Hugh are making pan out. Tomorrow is a Malcolm from 10 to 5 and Seth from 2:30 to 5 day for me. Yippee !

I liked the way the did the meals at East Carolina when I was there. You could buy meal tickets or just pay as you went. There was no price difference, so I just paid as I went along so that I could eat elsewhere whenever I wanted to.

I still have some of my Redskin things. We have a case and I have it set up now. 3 layers (1) when Ed and me first met has his Steeler knit blanket and my Redskin knit blanket and the vanity plate I had made with Steelers written down in their colors and helmet then in middle National Football emblem then the Redsin's written down in their color and their helmet. (2nd level of case) The Terrible towel and a pillow with steeler and something esle steelers. Snyder brought out Redskins and I was losing them. (3rd level is a little stuff steeler bear Ed brought me back from Latrobe Pa. Sixth ring Terrible town and a few other Steeler things. Tried after he passed to set the case up as are life was with football.
He was a great guy if both would be playing he would switch the tv back and forth. Cause he knew even after I changed to Steelers before they had won the sixth ring. I still enjoyed the Redskins.

Defrosting windshields---When I was a young teacher living in an apartment with my friends, we had neighbors from Cuba--a young doctor and his family.
I think he was not accustomed to the frost on the windshield, and he went out each morning and sloshed hot water on it.
My roommate commented that if she had done that, the windshield would surely have cracked, but he got away with it every morning.

I figure on waiting until the warmth of the sun removes the frost this morning. But the time will come when that does not work.
I really want to be able to put my car in the garage later on this winter. I have had that luxury ever since I came to this house.

Ketchup on pancakes never heard of that one Lori. I did know a friend of my brothers. When they were young and he would come to the house. He always wanted bread with just ketchup on it.
I just tried a new to me Yogurt by weight watchers picked it up because of flavor "Amaretto Cheesecake" IT IS GOOD!
Need to pack Hunter's lunch in a bit. Speaking of yogurt, I think there is some in the refrigerator I can pack for him.
I usually wait until about 7:45 or 8:00 so that the little frozen thingies I put in there keep it cold until time for him to eat.
That boy! If I put in something hot in a thermos, he does not eat it. But he eats things like cherry tomatoes, etc., so I guess that is okay.

He wants to quit his job. Apparently he wanted to do it today. To "focus" on going back to school. He wasn't happy with my reply that he can do that, in December, because he can't go back to school until next semester. Nothing starts in November. He turned and went back to bed. No discussion. He is so hard to deal with because he won't talk. I left him a note. I said I would be willing to take tomorrow off school(work) to sit down with him and formulate a plan. I would love for him to go back to school, but it can't be just a get up in the morning, quit work and do nothing until he can start taking classes.
He is so hard to reason with because he turns off and walks away. He won't talk. I've tried to get him to "write" to me what he's thinking. I can't get anything out of him, but 30 sec. statements. Bombs!
He was much younger, then. But I think he would still do it, Lori.
He loves pickles. If I buy a jar, I probably won't get any. His mom loves them, too.
Now I will have this on my mind all day! And he knows it. He plays me. I love him, my kids are my life, why does he do this. Because he doesn't know what he wants. He just knows he isn't happy. For all I know something happened at work and instead of telling me what happened he wants to quit. I don't know that, but I don't know anything because he doesn't talk to us.

Truder's black spot barely shows, may just be due to the lighting, but may be due to maturation. What a kick to see them both !
