I like your idea of honoring Linda with Billy's photo today. The photo gallery shows a man with a zest for life and unbounded love for wife and family. Thinking of the whole family as they celebrate that live well lived today.
♫♫♪Happy Birthday Mr. President♪♪♫ ! 3 years ago you had black hair, today it's really quite gray. Go figure. It is said that a President ages 2 years for every year in office. Prayers for you as you attempt to lead a broken Washington and a fractured nation.
LORETTA n' LYNN, in Columbus the 94th Aero Squadron is located between the runways of the Port Columbus Airport and offers a dramatic view of the arriving and departing air traffic. The old country 1917 French Farmhouse is full of military memorabilia and aviation relics depicting the times of the WWI and WWII era. The interior of the restaurant is cozy and romantic with huge stone fireplaces, wood paneling, and beamed ceilings.
The themed restaurant has been a tradition in central Ohio for nearly 30 years. Enjoy an award-winning dining experience featuring the best in prime rib, steaks, fresh seafood, pasta and chicken specialties.
Come see me and we'll go have some of that Wisconsin Cheese Beer Soup ! Hmmmm good !
LOLLY, can't wait to hear how the hunt for the marauding armadillo went. Glad you don't have ants to contend with there. When my son lived in College Station there was a continuous battle against fire ants. They had a beautiful backyard for their toddlers to play in, but had to scour for signs of ants constantly.
LORI, you got wax while getting ready for work today. Good timing before your trip to Orlando--you'll look great poolside in that cute little bikini ! {{{{{{{LORI}}}}}}}
Yes,thanks for pointing out that wax timing tip! Don't know that I'll be poolside in anything other than shorts.
I've found out I'm going to SeaWorld Saturday, and golfing 9 holes at some cool course (forget the name) on Sunday morning. This is all a promotion for Visit Orlando. I believe they're putting us up at the Hyatt there. Should be a lot of fun. These are the same folks who put on the Waldorf Astoria Orlando trip in January...and it was awesome!
Hey, there you are ! I've been waiting for you. Don't know but what the sandman will revisit me before long. Also don't know what this computer will do once I bring the nest cam up. So far it's showing no sign of being sluggish. My fingers are crossed ! Tell me when good daylight hits the nest and I'll bring it up then, okay ?
So glad to hear the Orlando trip is purely for pleasure and so glad that company is treating you well. Good business, huh ?
LYNN, I'm another one who wishes she were close enough to take care of the adorable Liesl while you're away. I know you'll find someone good. How about her foster family ?
I'm so glad you were able to get it yesterday. Wish they had said at first that that it was on the tree trunk itself! I was looking for some shape in the leaves.
Not sure where the gingerbread man is, has anyone said? DANG & JUDYE is sleeping in today for her day with Jordyn.
I think Judy said it was on the same branch, below Barkman and visible when the wind blows the leaves aside. I wasn't looking in the leaves, but right where he is and it just took forever to realize what they were talking about. I also scoured the nest itself and the smaller branch at the 3 o'clock side of the nest.
The Gingerbread man, that is. Oh, yeh, I forgot to look for the bobblehead dog. Will do, today. I wish our lovely birds would visit so we could switch our emphasis to them and their welfare ! They really don't have any good reason to be there right now, but it sure would be nice to see them !

Good morning all! I'm late, late, late. Going back to school might be an issue in a couple of weeks. I've gotten used to this summer routine.
Caught one of those little guys in my pool again this morning. He is now waiting restfully in a container for me to take him to the Extension office to see if I can find what kind of creature is swimming in my pool.

Lori, Thank you for sharing the link to be able to put up dear Bill's picture, I just did not get to do it this morning... a lovely, beautiful tribute...

When Mom was here in '09 for her 90th b-day celebration, we went home for a day of cemetery visits....and we got to the Squadron and found it closed. SO DISAPPOINTING. A cop was in the parking lot and he told us about the flood. Then also found the info online. :( Just can't believe that they haven't renovated and re-opened. BOO!
I will never catch up before I have to leave. Will do my best at some point during this busy day. Hope everyone has a good day---or as Thelma says: MAKES a good day! TTYL!
Lori-I talked to her just a few minutes ago. She is hurting this morning. The doctor will be in later, his PA saw her this morning and assured her the pain was normal and to keep walking as much as possible. She has a sore throat this morning from the breathing tube and because they operated near her esophagus. The PA let her know her sore throat will last a while.
LYNN, when KAY can handle more guests, lets hurry and get up there! I'll drive!
You know I would take Leisl this weekend but I'm out of town. Don't you have a grandkid, maybe borrow one of Wanda's,( LOL), that could just stay at your house with her.
Getting ready to hit the road. Prayers for LINDA and entire family continue, as do prayers for THELMA's sister, Beth. Prayers for Jack's neck and Sharon's friend Karen who wants to quit smoking, and that KAY gets some rest today after spending the morning without sleep. Blessings for all in need, big and small. You are a very, very special group...FAMILY!
LORI, what a special, loviing person you are! Suggesting that we all use Billy's photo as our avatars today was so wonderful. LINDA will know how much we are thinking of her today and the days ahead~
My dear friends.. I got a phone call at 5:30am this morning that my father died while on Vacation.. He an my step mother had been on a bus trip to Maine and stopped in NYC.. she found him in bathroom.. On my way to Hagerstown to be with sisters.. Please pray for my family...
OMG this is a day of bad news....I won't even post the FB article I just found, but suffice it to say there is a very bad man killing kittens in Baltimore.
Prayers for defenseless kittens, VT folks, Nilla and Family....
Folks, FYI....I am on a group in Facebook that is really cool...THe Great Backyard Bird Count. Yesterday, I THOUGHT I was sending invitations to some of you, but I actually added you to the group. So sorry about that....But maybe check it out, it's pretty cool!
These animal abuse stories really 'rile me up' (I think that is the word I want to use) Like Judie says, and I believe her, that animal abuse is a sign of 'serial killers' or at least BAD BAD people!
Jo, you are so right. The story I read was disturbing beyond belief and I wanted to vomit. Lord give me strength to handle knowing there are such horrible people in the world.
BTW....Brother Cat went with me to work for a check up and his depo shot on Tuesday. Although his hair has not grown back in the shaved placed, the fact that he is not worsening symptomatically after his initial symptoms, and she still cannot palpate any masses in the abdomen, the likelyhood of cancer is more reduced now! Not off the table, but much less likely!
♥♥Just wanted to let you know a little birdie told me that the Momsters sent flowers to Linda, at the funeral home of her brother. The "Anonymous Momster" sent them on behalf of all of us ♥♥♥
I am still working on getting a fence in. Then I will think about trees.
I have a dogwood, a crepe myrtle, a tiny evergreen of some kind that Hunter planted, and a very small maple that I might move. Those are the trees in my backyard right now.
I have read that dogwoods prefer to live in the shade of other trees, so I might plant something to shade my dogwood.
Actually, I do not think I ever said on here that I was going to plant any more trees. I just said that I would like to put the fence in so that I include a maple tree already growing in the back. But planting more trees is a good thought. I would probably wait until the weather cools a bit, though.
Need to put drops in Luna's eye and make sure Hunter's football stuff is in good shape. Kathryn came home very tired last night and overslept this morning.
Hoda I am catching up on comments and seen yours from yesterday. I hope that you had many happy memories to give you comfort. ((HUGS))
Lynne2 pretty sunflower avatar and I do see the bee.
Thelma I am so happy the doctor said "no surprises". Prayers now for Beth's healing.
Shirley sorry for the times Flash has the limping problem. I just other than meds must be all the vet can do for him. Bless his heart. How old is he?
Andy praises 1st for Marq that he is alive. Prayers for his headache, bruises, stitches and sure sounds like he is banged up all over his body. Wow and poor Jen's experience with that empty bed. Bless her heart-sure that was a shock. Glad a nurse got to her. Although still a shock. No I hope Marq didn't go to work today (Thursday).
Thanks Hoda for the update on NX. Glad they are keeping her a little longer.
Lolly Jack is continuing in my prayers.
Lynne2 your joke was a really good one!! lol
JudyE had seen the robin one before. Was good seeing nature at work again. Thanks.
I thought I better print this. Then finish reading Wed's comments.
I've heard that about Dogwoods too Shirley. But the 3 monster old ones out front here are and always have been in direct sun. Maybe there are hybrid varieties that do well in sun! But I still vote for a Redbud!
Have been to church and watered the garden. Lots of activity there today. Another man was there watering on the other side of the church. Also, cakes were delivered for a wedding tomorrow. Grooms cake is Godzilla. Too funny!
Jack did not find an armadillo last night and there was no digging in the yard. Did he choose a night when the armadillo did not come? Or, did he keep away the armadillo? Hmmmm????
However, he did see a screech owl in one of the birdbaths. He said it was splashing away. Yea!!!! Good to know they are enjoying the water!
COOL! A screech owl! Margy just heard her very first one! I am amazed she hasn't ever heard one before! We hear them occasionally...most notably on Halloween 2 years ago in the tree right outside the bedroom window!
Jack called once and now he is just waiting for them to call. It is his decision. No call while we were at church. He is leaving for lunch with friends this morning. They will probably call while he is gone. Hopefully they will talk with me if they do.
Some years ago there was apparently a whole nest of young screech owls visiting one of our birdbaths. We got pictures. I need to search through the slides to show you. Jack set up a camera on a tripod and waited. He got some great shots.
LORI and HODA I had a nice underwater to so many feet camera that is the one that just broke It took great video and picture as everyone has seen the results on my blog It is a Olympus x560wp 10mp-3x zoom you can google it to see where you can buy it I know it was about 75 when I bought it last year Jordyn is down for a nap when went to the park and I just started reading the blog so I'm at 222 am mark and lots to read so here I go and I want to say thank you for answering my where do you work at I knew for sure of a few and was guess the others and so far I was right about your jobs that have said them to this point on the blog Ok I'm gonna go put on a load of laundry and start reading

LOLLY, sorry Jack didn't accomplish the goal last night. I'll bet the armadillo(s) had beady little eyes trained on him the whole time ! Will this be a nightly mission until the deed is done ?
LYNNE, thanks for posting the story about Bloomington, MN's dangerous criminal ! If a man will feed birds, there is no telling what else he'll do, is there ? LOL That town is sick !

Wow
Finney One land nest, completely empty
the fledging ospreys and the parents return often, but this morning, all empty
Good Morning DanaMo !
Let us know what Extension Agency says about the critter
Enjoy the time you have left of the summer as much as possible...
Almost all the nests are empty now. Yesterday I caught the Hornby eaglets at home and lunching with Dad, but most of the time the next is empty.
Kind of nice that we still have the cam now showing NX and KS and their antics. I don't like the empty nest period of the year. :(
Hello DANAMO! What was in your pool this morning? Did you find out if the other thing was as we had guessed a baby groundhog?
Wish JUDYE could check in!
Well, you know me, 7 a.m. rolls around and I'm ready to move on to e-mail, newspapers or back to bed !

Good morning Hedgie and Jim.
First time I personally have seen the fledgling back on the TH nest. She's there right now.
[:~D] Jim
Good Morning All!
Special thoughts and prayers for Linda and family on this day.
OMG....just found this on FB
From Nilla....
My dear friends.. I got a phone call at 5:30am this morning that my father died while on Vacation.. He an my step mother had been on a bus trip to Maine and stopped in NYC.. she found him in bathroom.. On my way to Hagerstown to be with sisters.. Please pray for my family...
Good morning,
Lockdown at VA Tech this morning.
Possible weapon on campus.
Prayers for Nilla's family.
Kay, I remember driving by Port Columbus on my way into the city from New Albany. So close to low-flying planes. I would try to avoid them.
Prayers to Nilla and her family.
So sorry about that....But maybe check it out, it's pretty cool!
and along the lines of stupid prosecutions like growing veggies in your front yard, or helping a baby bird....I bring you
Man prosecuted for feeding birds in his yard
Great Backyard Bird Count--that sounds like fun. One of my fellow workers at CCHS always participated, Lynne.
Good Morning - Prayers for Janet aka
Nilla and her family during this time
with the loss of her dad.
Praying that Linda's family can also
find comfort in our thoughts and prayers
for them.
Link doesn't work, Lynne.
Happy Birthday Barb - Wishing you
a special day!
Barb has been a Momster since 2009.
Lynn - this isn't Iris' cousin. Barb is
a friend from the falcons in Harrisburg
She is on FB
These animal abuse stories really 'rile
me up' (I think that is the word I want
to use) Like Judie says, and I believe
her, that animal abuse is a sign of
'serial killers' or at least BAD BAD
people!
It's a cool page Shirl, mostly pictures of what folks are seeing in there yard!
Trying link again...
Man prosecuted for feeding birds in his yard
IRIS!!!! Are you lurking????
please wish BARB a HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!
Robyn and Tori are leaving for Denver tomorrow...GODSPEED and PRAYERS!
Jo, you are so right. The story I read was disturbing beyond belief and I wanted to vomit. Lord give me strength to handle knowing there are such horrible people in the world.
Thanks for the new link, Lynne. It works now.
Shirley, have you decided on a tree yet??
I'll catch you all on the flip side. Make a great day.
Barb Willard isn't Iris' cousin that we know from her attending our dinners -
And where has Iris been for such a long
time - Miss her
Morning, all!
♥♥Just wanted to let you know a little birdie told me that the Momsters sent flowers to Linda, at the funeral home of her brother. The "Anonymous Momster" sent them on behalf of all of us ♥♥♥
Thank you, Anonymous Momster!
Good report, Lynne.
Good Morning Eagle Friends and Lurkers.
Hoda I am catching up on comments and seen yours from yesterday. I hope that you had many happy memories to give you comfort. ((HUGS))
Lynne2 pretty sunflower avatar
and I do see the bee.
Thelma I am so happy the doctor
said "no surprises". Prayers
now for Beth's healing.
Shirley sorry for the times
Flash has the limping problem.
I just other than meds must
be all the vet can do for him.
Bless his heart. How old is he?
Andy praises 1st for Marq that
he is alive. Prayers for his
headache, bruises, stitches and
sure sounds like he is banged
up all over his body. Wow and
poor Jen's experience with that
empty bed. Bless her heart-sure
that was a shock. Glad a nurse
got to her. Although still a
shock. No I hope Marq didn't
go to work today (Thursday).
Thanks Hoda for the update on NX.
Glad they are keeping her a little
longer.
Lolly Jack is continuing in my prayers.
Lynne2 your joke was a really good one!! lol
JudyE had seen the robin one before. Was good seeing nature at work again. Thanks.
I thought I better print this. Then finish reading Wed's comments.
Good morning! Off to change my avatar!
Good morning! Thank you, Lori, for this great idea. Thinking of Linda and her family today.
Also, wow! Thanks to the anonymous donor for the flowers. Another great idea and greatly appreciated.
I've heard that about Dogwoods too Shirley. But the 3 monster old ones out front here are and always have been in direct sun. Maybe there are hybrid varieties that do well in sun! But I still vote for a Redbud!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU, BARB!
Can't even begin to tell you how much I love this wonderful group of the most beautiful human beings. You are all amazing in so many ways.
Off to nap now, but someone had to tell YOU how special you are ... each of you. So happy to have you in my life. Thanks for the smiles you give me. ♥
Prayers for LINDA, Janet and Beth then a nap. BBL.
OOOPS, Jo, I thought it WAS her cousin! Thanks for the tip!
AWWWWWW....thank you anonymous donor of flowers! SO very sweet!
Have been to church and watered the garden. Lots of activity there today. Another man was there watering on the other side of the church. Also, cakes were delivered for a wedding tomorrow. Grooms cake is Godzilla. Too funny!
Wonder where Iris is right now...haven't heard from her in a while?
I've got to get ready to head to work....sure hope I have time to log on later and see if Jack's MRI report is in, how Marq is doing.
Rest well Lori! We love you too!
TTFN
Not Iris's cousin? Well, Happy Day to her anyway:)
sent Iris and email this morning to Gmail addy, but it came back undeliverable. No recent activity on her FB page either....
Wish you had a cam at that bird bath, Lolly...that would have been awesome to see!
COOL! A screech owl! Margy just heard her very first one! I am amazed she hasn't ever heard one before! We hear them occasionally...most notably on Halloween 2 years ago in the tree right outside the bedroom window!
Really, I have to go now...
Flash us only three, DanaWV.
Wanda, I stole your avatar! hee hee! Just right clicked on it. Thanks for framing it!☺
I am hungry. Need to go eat some breakfast. Yep, have not eaten. We hurried to church and then I wanted to finish my coffee when we returned.
That is perfectly alright, Lolly...what's mine is yours:)
Hi Sharon I agree with Jo,
