Shirley is your wireless mouse "backing up"? Like a truck driving backwards LOL
That was really dumb of them about the Insulin especially since it say's online that they can bring it.
Andy prayers that your foot will feel better after having it put up for awhile and some rest.
Oh Margy so sorry for your BIL situation. Glad his doctor admitted him and started the IV antibiotic treatment. Since this is something that re-occurs you would think the dumb hosital would have pulled his last admission record. Oh yes computers were down. Can't do much without those now a days. Good you and his other BIL was there to give out information. Prayers for his healing.
I see an eagle Belle was spotted in the nest this early AM. Thanks for the comments.
Morning Carol yes I have seen that on something else. I think when I was online playing Bingo. Don't know the reason for it though...sounds dumb to me.
Jim it is good to see you too. Sorry you are having computer problems. Seem like for you they come and go. You get them and fix them. Then they seem to return. grr
Dear God 31 Americcan troop killed. Prayers for there friends and families.
On Paula you'll get that close up shot yet!!!!
I looked on facebook don't see anyting on there earlier about Janet/Nilla's fathers funeral. I am worried about her. Prayers for her and the entire family.

Good Saturday Afternoon! I see some of you have gotten RAIN already. Don't know what we'll get~~~3 PM, isolated rain~~5 PM, scattered thunderstorms.DUH?
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, ROBYN Good travels and Health to you and Tori! ☺ ♥
Margy, sorry to hear your BIL is ill. Prayers for him. Very pleasant weather here right now--85°, a little breeze. Was rearranging flower pots on deck. My lovely blue petunias have bitten the dust after a couple new transplants added BOO. Only animal spotting aT Chelsea yesterday was our juvie red-shouldered hawk. He's been popping down on the cut grass strip next to field and flying up to the trees. We hear their squealy calls all spring and summer. Will have to check the wren house in front today. Hard to get a spiot that the parents will approve! BBL Have a great day & batten down the hatches
Yard is mowed, edged, etc. Then did a little more cleaning up. Irises needed cleaning up as well as some other areas. It really was not too bad. I have now bathed and washed my hair so I am clean and cooled off.
Lori, sorry for the not so fresh air on the plane. Not pleasant for sure!
Good Morning/Good Afternoon everyone. Back from paddling...a bit choppy and at times chaotic, but mostly fun to be on the boat.
LORI There are THREE agencies which do credit ratings. TWO kept the ratings for the USA AS AAA and only one downgraded...so it is not as serious as it sounds. The concern is long term debt, yet the two other agencies had cautious confidence if I remember correctly from what our news reported...
HAPPY BIRTHDAY ROBYN.
Prayers for MARGY's BIL...good on you for standing by him MARGY.
LYNN it is not worth the protest on the sweepstakes thing...They do it as they need to give priority to US citizens...its all Kosher, no problem.
heading off to yoga in a little while so I will see you all later.
WONDERFUL MISS BELLE was here today...I feel jealous and yet very happy that the morning group saw her. JUDYE and DANAMO way to go!!!
Thanks, Margy---missed your call over! Bringing over......
Hurray! Myrtle just appeared---from under the pallet, as usual. Rain almost always brings her out! Gave her some mater, and she's as happy as a turtle can be!!!
Wanda.....I think the rain just stopped.......did it truly stay on this side of North Mountain??? I'm sorry.....I would share if I could.
Lori in the Sky with Diamonds......oh, no---how awful for you and the other passengers.....ugh! Some people ain't got no couth!
Shirley, my darlin' girl----no such thing as "payback" on your part with everything you have done and are doing in this unexpected situation. I don't want to hear you even THINK such a thing!!!
All I have left to do is dust the bookshelves behind the TV! All antique books back in place, pictures rehung(after cleaning glass and frames!), and all vacuuming finished. Think it's lunch time!!!
Shirley, sorry---don't mean to butt in---just feeling very bad for you. So many changes and adjustments---not quite the way your retirement was meant to be! Love you, girlfriend.
Hot dogs in broiler---too wet to grill! Cleaning the leak spots off the carpet will have to wait until I get back from our little jaunt....I put things back in place on the deck, but will have to move it again in order to clean that carpet off.
Maybe I'll get the railing wiped down this afternoon....MAYBE.... :)
Hedgesville's (Lynn's) rain finally got to our neck of the woods, as you could see at the NEST. It was a good, soaking rain. Could have lasted longer, but it was enough that I don't have to water my deck plants, or the tub gardens. Squash have all died, due to the squash bugs. I didn't think they would bother to come into the tubs...but I was wrong:( Red, green and yellow peppers are doing well and tomatoes are delicious. They are not as prolific in the tub as they were in the ground, but enough for just the two of us. Cucumbers are still trying to recuperate after the groundhog attack a few weeks ago. We have a friend who has been supplying us with cucumbers that are so good (burpless). Sure do miss the squash...GG's has also succumbed to the squash bugs (very similar to the stink bug).
LORI asked which end of the camera Denise was on at the shoot, last evening...she was taking the photos. Yes, Lori, I love the name also. Use to babysit, occasionally for a little girl with the same name and loved it so much, decided then that I would name my baby that, if I ever had one. Well, it just so happened that I married a DENNIS, and Denise was so fitting, so that is how she got that name:)
Hoda, if that's the way they want to be about their contest, then they should just say "USA addresses only!" Glad you had a good paddle!!! And guess you are now deeply meditating in yoga class. :)
Hi Jo and Loretta! Rained here again for a little while, but stopped now. Still gloomy. Only 76°.
Wanda, I wondered what the D stood for in Gene's name!!! Cool that it worked out for your Denise name!! Carolyn was a combo name: he was Carroll, and I was Lynn....so......there you have it!
SHIRLEY so glad your co-worker has been found but sorry she is in the hospital. Plus no one will tell you which hospital so whoever was close to her at work could visit her. STRANGE!!!
Lynne-Hedgie glad you are getting thing back into shape at the house.
Hi, Thelma! Glad to know you've made it there. Have fun!!!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, ROBYN! Prayers for you and Tori continue. Have a fantastic day!
Prayers for your BIL, Dwain, Margy! Good thing you were there for him!
JudyE, prayers for your co-worker, Angela! So glad she was found! MTBR, I guess.
While I'm at it, I'm saying some prayers for our country's economy. We lost a couple thousand from our 401k's in the last couple of days. :o[
Lynn, are you still home? My foot is really hurting, and I'm not sure what's going on with it. Slightly swollen, not bruised, skin is extremely sensitive to touch, the whole arch hurts. Feels like a charlie horse. Any ideas? Have a Tuesday morning Dr. appt. If I go anywhere today, only the ER is available, not urgent care. Have been taking X/S Acetaminophen. Can't take NSAIDs--too sensitive to them. Have been elevating it as much as possible. Heat makes it hurt more. Ice helps some, but skin is SO sensitive, can't keep ice on it for long.
CHECK YOU EMAIL BOXES FOR JANET/NILL'S HOME ADDRESS. IF YOU SEE SOMEONE THAT I MISSED THAT KNEW HER AND I DIDN'T SEND AN EMAIL PLEASE FORWARD EMAIL ... THANK YOU
Hey, Soul Sisters ! Glad you've arrived safely in Pittsburgh. Let the fun begin ! ♥
Had a great morning here with Julie and Malcolm, we had lunch and then she went grossery shopping while Malcolm and I played. Tonight and tomorrow morning Seth will be here, more good times ahead !
Yippee Ti Yi Yeah ! Our regal Belle held court at the nest this a.m. ! Sorry I missed it, but you did a great play x play, JUDYE, with a little assist by DANAMO. Nice !
LYNN, so wonderful that ROBYN and TORI are in the company of good friends ! That serves to lighten things up a bit, I'm sure !
LORI, neat ! Flyin' high and giving us a holler ! Hmmm, I always heard "smellers the feller";o). Hope Pepe LePew got over it quickly !
JUDYE, thankful that you've all heard that Angela is alive and undoubtedly getting the help she needs !
I know we're all deeply saddened by the loss of 32 troop members in Afghanistan. Hope they are not all from one community---devastating blow regardless. When will it all end ?
WVgal DANA, thanks for the info on Nilla's father. Praying for her and family as they celebrate the promotion to heaven of a man who lived a good and long life. May he RIP. (Is there a story behind Janet's unique nickname ?)
Forgot to tell y'all----got the girls $367 worth of school clothes for $196 from Fashion Bug! We have lucked out with their sales for 3 or 4 years now. But this time we did it online rather than in person. If something doesn't fit, we can take it back to the store.
Great deal on the girls clothes, LYNN ! I used to go to a Fashion Bug in Bullhead City. They have fashionable clothing for all sizes and so nice you can just go to the store with anything that isn't quite right !
WVgal DANA, meant to ask if you'll be going to visitation and/or services for Nilla's father. Hope her mother is bearing up well--it can't be easy losing a mate of 63 years.
Dana, thanks.....thin I will try to hire SIL's bro to do the outside clean up....the foundation is covered with the "washing" junk...if it would hose off, I can do it, but if it has to be scrubbed.....NOT!
Thelma---as I put on FB: Don't get kidnapped by PIRATES!!
Andy, is your foot red at all??? Does it have any heat to it? Possibilities that come to mind: gout or cellulitis.....watch carefully for any red streaking that may go up foot into leg. If so, ER!!!!! Unfortuantely, Tylenol may ease the pain in a little but doesn't address the inflammation.....keep using the ice. ELEVATE---higher than your heart. Sure hope it resolves, but please don't ignore the symptoms. Praying that it might just be a stone bruise or something simple!!!
Unconfirmed reports are that the victims of the chopper shoot-down could all be Navy Seals.....that would be devastating to that elite group. Have CNN omn waiting to hear more.....prayers for their souls, their families and their unit(s).
ANDREA, Gene has had a bout with gout a time or two and the way you describe your discomfort, really sounds like gout. If so, you still must see your doctor (as you are planning) to get meds to help the pain and to make it disappear. Can't remember what Gene was given, but it worked pretty quickly. Tuesday is so far away when you are in pain:'(
Oh, no, Lynn. Kathryn will expect payback from the mother of the two kids she will be keeping tonight.
And that means she will ask her to watch Hunter for me. She is thinking about the day I have to go to Culpeper for a meeting of retirees concerning insurance, but I am wondering if she will be at school that day. She is a teacher.
What to do What to do I am caught up reading and I can't beleive it I am totally amazed no more to read what to do what to do Oh I said that I guess I should go do something then BBL
Oh I forgot to say that they did approve my vacation for 2weeks plus 2 I knew that they would Now I can't wait till then I just wish open house was still that time of the year that is what I had planned on doing on it also Oh well life sucks sometimes I guess Ok bye again just want to say they approved it Later
Well I am back and the blog seems quiet. We have an Air Show in Nelson this weekend and the little plans are making loops and dives and upside down flight patterns and it is all very noisy indeed...Only one weekend a year so I suppose even the Pilots Association needs to be supported...I find it a bit intimidating as they came down really low over the car as I was driving from where I had parked...yes I was parked near the airport which is next to the most expensive hotel in the area...normally it is very quiet there, we don't get much plane traffic here...one stretch of land to make a runway...Thaks for listening...They also seem to interfere with the cell phone tower as I lose the signal on the cell phone when they are up in the air...hurmmmpppphhhh!!! Much better now thank you...LOL
I still haven't done anything I have been on facebook One of my old high school classmates signed me up to a page Remember Vine Grove and I have been on there so now I do have to go and do something
We are getting sprinkles! If it's real rain, you'll hear a holler. Twice today I have seen Ms. Hummer Girl come to the red salvia flowers and Bad Boy has chased her away! Once she did get to sip at the feeder. Lynn, glad to read you're getting your house in order. What a lot of work. You probably need a Panda nap! I haven't seen any action at the one wren house. How could they have fledged w/out me seeing them?
The news had the Dragon Boat races on again tonight its been going on all week and tomorrow is the last day of the race 20 countries are involved they said
looks like it is still raining at the nest the leaves look wet BBL I hope they show up was so nice seeing Belle this am if was only when she landed and then went under the leaves but she did do a nice fly out at 10
Fro the 16th to the 20th there are the BC SENIOR GAMES happening in Nelson Castlegar and Trail...three communities hosting.I volunteered to work some venues and it is with the Dragon Boaters that I have been assigned...several races. I think the BC gov't wants the seniors to stay active and they have been very generous with funds...I will let you know how it goes.
Thanks JUDYE for the article. I was hoping to find out which countries are represented. I hope Canada is there with a team...if you hear if we are let me know please.
The Internet is wonderful!!! I googled the International Tampa Bay Dragon Boat races and found out Canada was represented. Good representation you all have there...Now I will want to know the results.Keep us posted JUDYE.
Jack and I just prepared another rolled flank steak for the freezer, that makes 5! We ate one last weekend when Laurel was here. You just would not believe how good they are and quite time consuming to prepare.
Had an incident this afternoon. Washed my hair after working in the yard. Used a new curling iron and burned my hair!!! Big ol chunk burned right off. (Does not show, thank goodness!) Returned the curling iron this afternoon, exchanged it for another. It got so terribly hot! Wow! I can still smell it...not pleasant and when I brushed my hair, OMG, the sink filled with burned hair. Well, did not "fill" but the sink was covered! LOL
Can not believe we have a Momster on one coast that does Dragon Boats and another Momster on the opposite coast where the Dragon Boat races are being held. Would certainly by fun to see!
Oh, and by the way, when you get rain, please refrain from telling me!! Only kidding, of course! But 6 inches, really Judy....SHARE!!
Thanks JUDYE I enjoyed the video and the chap is right about pulling the waterGood to see the Canadian Team with the flagalong with the USA and England flags. I understand the Chinese are fast... I will trade you hosting the Airshow for us hosting an Interntational Dragon Boat Races...any takers...???I did not think so!!!LOL!!!
LOLLY so sorry you had the experiences with the hot iron...Hair is amazing that it does not show the damage. The steaks sound delicious.
Hi, gang. Back again the same day. Not terribly happy with the kennel----it was clean, but smelled funky (they said they hadn't scooped the runs yet because of the rain) and there were MANY barking dogs. ure hope everyone settled down after they got Liesl in her cage. Sure hope she doesn't hate me......while I was filling out the paperwork, she did the biggest you-know-what I have ever seen such a little dog do..do..do!!
Needed to run into the $ store to get some make-up and saw a huge stock pot. $9. Christie had one for me but can't find it anyplace---thinks she put it in a yard sale! So now I have one! Hope for a cool day soon so I can make a BIG pot of soup!
Just grilled my steak in the rain with an umbrella up! I had gotten a longevity award from DirecTV---super price on an Omaha Steak package deal. Just had the filet mignon---excellent!!! Of course, would never pay THEIR full prices!
So cool about the Dragon Boats in Tampa! Still need to read the articles. And Hoda, you are a volunteer Queen!!!
It's been almost NINE hours with those planes buzzing about!!! UGH...I think of all the gas wasted and shake my head...it is not the cheapest commodity here either!!!
DanaMo, wish I had known you were interested in dog-sitting!!!! Of course, the "boys" may not have been too excited about having a little hotdog invade their territory!!!
MARGY-----are you at the hospital? Did you hear that DOug Copenhaver's son was killed in an awful wreck on Edwin Miller last night??? Bill just told me---of course, I saw all the memorial stuff on the road, as well as two people picking up debris in the weeds.
My plumber bro is here with his 2 boys...he is almost finished putting in the new water heater...kids are fishing...gonna have steak and taters on the grill
The GHO hung around most of the day...he finally took a little while ago
Just finished replacing light bulbs in the patio lights....the guys messing around out there with the hoses and kicking stuff around caused 4 to blow. Only had 3 replacements. Also discovered that side door on garage was unlocked.....so took care of that issue. Still raining lightly.
PICKING A 10 AND MOVING STICKS THEN HE LOOKS TO THE RIGHT THEN MOVES MORE STICKS HAS A ITCH ON CHEST PACK TO PICKING UP STICKS AND PUTTING THEM ELSEWHERE
He is facing noon and working on the twigs a bit more. Back to ten. He picks a large stick and fusses with it and soem little bird is darting around back and forth on the nest behind him
He moves to three position and is partly hidden by the leaves. Now he is at six hidden by the leaves. He is visible through the leaves, his body mostly
Oh, dear, Jack says this bird is preventing him from getting his dinner. He has already cooked bacon for bacon cheese burgers. Guess I am going to have to go make the meat patties. Grrrrrr!
I SET HERE LAUGHING THE VIDEO TURNED OUT AND YOU CAN HERE EVERYONE OF MY KEY CLICK WITH THIS CAMERA IT HAS NO MUTE THAT I CAN FIND DARN IT AND I DID GET THE LITTLE BIRD ON IT
I wonder if they will be back or maybe I am asking for to much ya think they came really early tonight also I wonder what makes them decide to come LORI mentioned something about this being a good weather day for them HEY LORI what did you mean by this mornin comment??? rainy

Wanda, glad the rain made it across 81!!!!
Tuesday is so far away when you are in pain:'(
Almost time to head out to take Liesl to the kennel.... :(
BBL! Guess I won't be spending money for a truck wash!
Liesl will be fine, Lynn! And, she will be so happy to see you when you return.
22 of the victims are Navy Seals. None were involved in the Bin Laden operation.
WOW did we have rain I just emptied my rain gauge if was flowing over 6" is what it holds that is from the past couple of days

Just checked. She will have a teacher workday then.
Hi, Hoda. Good that it is only one weekend a year.
Glad your vacation got approved, Judy.
I knew it would have been approved they can't deny us of our time off which is cool
Boy the blog is slow I agree Hoda I think everyone is talked out LOL This group never
I still haven't done anything I have been on facebook One of my old high school classmates signed me up to a page Remember Vine Grove and I have been on there so now I do have to go and do something
Hey LORETTA did you ever find out what that was that was in your pool??
The news had the Dragon Boat races on again tonight its been going on all week and tomorrow is the last day of the race 20 countries are involved they said

Wow, dragonboats in Pinellas Park!!! Had trouble getting page started, but it finally came on.
We're still waiting for monsoon!
HODA here is another link it does mention Canada Dragon Boat Races
this is a quote from the article
"They have a lot of dragon boat races in Toronto, but I have never seen any of them," she said. She came to give the Canadian team her support.
The Internet is wonderful!!! I googled the International Tampa Bay Dragon Boat races and found out Canada was represented. Good representation you all have there...Now I will want to know the results.Keep us posted JUDYE.
Fox DragonBoat a VIDEO with it
Jack and I just prepared another rolled flank steak for the freezer, that makes 5!
I LOVED LISTENING TO THE YOUNG MAN TALKING ABOUT HOW IT FEELS TO DRAG THE WATER WITH THE PADDLE TO COOL HODA THE VIDEO IS NICE

NOW HE IS PICKING AT THE RAIL AT 10
Would like for Belle to come back. Did not see her. Oh, movement...not a statue after all. LOL
His stillness makes him seem more mature somehow, a little bit more focused and a little bit more aware of his surroundings.
BACK TO STANDING AGAIN HE CROUCHES DOWN FOR SOME REASON AND LOOKS UP AT THE CAM BACK TO PICKING AT 10
Yes, this is Grand, Lynn and yes, several momsters here.☺
Just finished replacing light bulbs in the patio lights....the guys messing around out there with the hoses and kicking stuff around caused 4 to blow.
HE SURE IS BUSY NOW LOOKS TO BE EATING OR GETTING STUCK IN BEAK

Smaller Bird:
Yellow Billed Cuckoo !! I really think so
Am enjoying this !!!
ATTACKING A EAGLE WHAT THE HELL
He is facing noon and working on the twigs a bit more. Back to ten. He picks a large stick and fusses with it and soem little bird is darting around back and forth on the nest behind him
See the small bird flying past over and over......think it's trying to scare Truder?? !!!
I AM RECORDING IT ALMOST OUT MEMORY
How did he scratch the itch on his
back, Judy?????? With his beak or
with his talon?
Some small bird is really flying at Truder. Does not seem like a wise thing to do. Have not seen that before.
OUT OF MEMEORY WILL DOWNLOAD AND RESTART UNLESS HE LEAVES
He is aware it is there and looks up at it and does not seem to bother too much. He is maturing.
Its tail, has horizontal stripes across it...and a curved bill..yellowish, pretty sure
Yellow Billed Cuckoo.
THAT WAS ODD A BIRD ATTACKING HIM
Little bird probably thinks it is
his nest since the eagles have not been
around recently. Squatter's Rights.
HE MUST OF KNOW THAT I WAS DOWNLOAD CAM WENT UNDER THE LEAF
THAT KICKED BUTT I HOPE I GOT IT ON THE VIDEO I DIDN'T HAVE IT ON AT FIRST WHEN THE LITTLE ATTACKER SHOWED UP
He moves to three position and is partly hidden by the leaves. Now he is at six hidden by the leaves. He is visible through the leaves, his body mostly
Lolly, so sorry about your crispy locks. Geesh---defective equipment.....so glad that it's in a place it doesn't show. Oh yeah---terrible smell.
Now Truder is under the leaves, but as long as wind is blowing, he can't hide!!!
Gotta run out and get the trail cam before it gets dark. BBIAF.
i STILL CAN'T BELIEVE HE IS HERE LONG VISIT
LEAF GOT BLOWN ASIDE
WE SEE YOU TRUDER..
Oh, dear, Jack says this bird is preventing him from getting his dinner. He has already cooked bacon for bacon cheese burgers. Guess I am going to have to go make the meat patties. Grrrrrr!
HE IS ITCHING UNDER THE LEAF MAYBE HE HAS MITES
He turns around and his head is towards the nest and he looks behind him. Now scratching under the leaves.
