Hay Hay Beagle!

Lynn, hope they don't change mine soon :( They keep saying it's a comin'

Hoda, Nick has been following me all over the house! Been sitting here instead of doing my stuff, cause he finally settled down and is resting!

Judie said...

Paula, Nick is really quite the handsome young man as evident in his pictures. He is definitely a keeper and so glad he rescued you.

Shirley, positive news for Kathryn and hoping for quick relief. Nice that Hunter got to visit his new school. Hopefully he will warm up to the idea of working with another student. Likely good for both, as you said.

Margy, so glad you and James the Wise had so much fun. He is one very, very fortunate young man.

The issue of a finger gesture causing a mistrial is "beyond my scope of expertise." Only thought is that seeing the gesture might be perceived as prejudicing the jury = mistrial. Do not know the legal foundation.

Going to head for the pillows soon as I do believe I heard the sandperson whispering something about the day being adjourned until sunrise.

The night light is on for everyone and I believe many of us will sleep better for a day of positive events. Restful sleep for all.

stronghunter said...

Good night, Judie. Rest well.

stronghunter said...

Nick has a beautiful smile.

paula eagleholic said...

Good night, JudyE and Judie.

Shirley, hope Kathryn can get some relief soon...glad to know it's muscular.

paula eagleholic said...

Ok, gotta go get some stuff done!

hedgie said...

Oohhh----coyote in parking lot of a shopping center in Charles Town!!! Run, coyote, run. Cops are on the way.
Was it JudyE who mentioned that they have coyotes? So do we!!

stronghunter said...

Will says there are coyotes near his apartment in Fredericksburg.

Kay said...

LYNN, look for Stationary under
Applications, almost at the bottom of the far left column. I hope JUDIE does tell us how The Flipper could have caused a mistrial. The judge told him the taxpayers had invested a lot of money in this trial and he could have squandered it all with his gesture. I think Judge Perry used it as an opportunity to put others on warning. It's so close to the end and to have it screwed up by some idiot spectator would be horrible !

stronghunter said...

Just saw the "flipper" incident. Oh my. Stupid. So nice to see a victory for the concept of respect.

stronghunter said...

Kay,

I messaged Virginia on FB. Will see what she has to say.

NatureNut said...

Yay! Just saw more Nick pics from Lynn to Paula! How great he is going to B---H, too!!Love Kay's poem.
Margy, how wonderful you got to "play" with James! Early B'Day Party??

Kay said...

Oops, I hadn't read JUDIE's last post carefully enough and see she doesn't know the legal precedent for what the judge was indicating. I'm going to do some Googling in an attempt to find out.

However, you may well have the answer via some other avenue before I get er' done. It's time for me to hit the hay.

Seems like we have more prayers of thanks than anything else to be added for this day. Thanks:

For bringing PAULA and Nick together.

For giving Norfolk Daddy a prospective new mate.

For Sharon's hospital discharge and the hope given by new meds.

For a good specialist for SHIRLEY's daughter and the possiblity of cure without surgery.

And I'm sure I've missed some ! So prayers for all in need and for all the good things the day has brought !

Have a good night and hope to see some of you bright n' early in the morning !

♥L♥I♥B♥E♥R♥T♥Y !!!!!!!

stronghunter said...

Thanks, Kay. Kathryn will appreciate your kind thoughts for her.

paula eagleholic said...

Ya'll will love this....

Eagle Commberical

stronghunter said...

Happy to see that Sharon is home. Now she can sleep.

stronghunter said...

Funny, Paula.

paula eagleholic said...

supposed to say commercial, LOL

run coyote run!

Anyone remember when we heard one on the cam? I have it on youtube...somewhere...

stronghunter said...

You wonder how they put a commercial like that together.

stronghunter said...

Run coyote!!!

stronghunter said...

Susan recorded a fox call near her apartment in Fairfax just a few days ago.

BEagle said...

I was going to ask if y'all had seen the AT&T commercial with the Bald Eagle.

I love it!!!

BEagle said...

Run coyote!!

BEagle said...

Hay Paula.....I went searching for a picture of Nick. He is a sweetie!!

BEagle said...

I am so glad that Eagle Eye is okay.

It's okay, I take a couple BP meds too!

My stress test was fine, I need to lose a few is all.

magpie said...

seems to me, Paula
you and Megan heard that coyote
and some of us have heard foxes

Hedgie -
any chance a system restore would take you back to where you would want to be with Yahoo?
When the new formatty thing showed up here, I believe I hit a button that said No Thanks Ask Me Later...
just a thought

magpie said...

Loretta
that is correct ☺

Oh wow I was so excited about seeing the Commbercial! Wasn't sure what we were going to be in for...

think I will go check out the Commercial now ...

magpie said...

Shirley
before I go to that link:
I read with interest about Hunter registering at the new school
AND their interest in you, and also their interest in Hunter friending up with a child in need
I look forward to hearing how this develops....
very special idea

magpie said...

Oh that was hilarious!
Thanks Paula ☺

ROFLMBO
almost getting too old to pick the old "B" up...

magpie said...

Good to see you BEagle...been missing you
glad your meds to the trick...
and that your Stress is Fine!
Let's keep it that way !
xo

stronghunter said...

The "helping Aunt Sandy" was Kathryn's idea, Margy. Then Sandy came up with the "buddy" idea. I would love to see Hunter do this.

The new boy next door is a special education student. Kathryn has been encouraging Hunter to play with him. They haven't played often, but I do like to see Kathryn encourage Hunter this way.

This boy doesn't go to Hunter's school. So far, His parents have kept him in his previous school.

magpie said...

Yes indeedy, wonderful to read that Sharon is home....now, will her four dogs and Thelma's Buddy really let her sleep? They will try to be all over her with doggy kisses and wet noses !

But at least she can take that birdy bath when SHE feels like it, not at 5 am like this morning !

hedgie said...

Thanks, Kay---found the stationary link....it is WAY down there...and I think it was on the other side before, wasn;t it??!!!
I goofed and sent a trial run to Shirley instead of you!! Already shut it down, so....THANKS!!!

BEagle said...

It took me a minute....the old "B."
: D

Thanks Margie. That's why I study the opposite of stress....peace!

magpie said...

Lynn
Canada Day is July 1

hedgie said...

And goodnight, Kay,

magpie said...

well we always used the term Fanny in our household, BEagle...
but if I typed ROFLMFO
I would have confused everyone

glad you caught it !

Yah, peace...nothing like it,
definitely worth the price of working towards that
Hope you are looking forward to your Three-Day Week-end! Now THAT is Independence...from the alarm clock and traffic if nothing else

magpie said...

I know Wanda posts late...sure hoping to hear good things about the Captain, GG, and especially Her today...

either way: Jo, love to you and best wishes for a great holiday !

magpie said...

I know I have had to skim a lot of posts in the last 48 hours but think I absorbed most of it in one way or another...sure do care, have read with interest...
and enjoy the family things here, always

Night Bandit is definitely lurking!
And the sandman has left Annandale and snuck over here to Martinsburg !
Judie....thanks! ☺
oh, want to hear how your anti-aphid treatments have been working

Hoda said...

Doesn't this look BEAUTIFUL?

May My Dreams Come True

Judie said...

PNB cookies: 1 cup granulated sugar, 1 cup peanut butter, 1 egg, 1 tsp vanilla. Mix all together and shape into balls (use 1/2 TBS as guide). Press to flatten a bit. Sprinkle with sea salt. Will spread out some but not much. Bake 350º 10 minutes. Remove from oven and let sit about 3 minutes before transferring to cooling rack or they tend to fall apart. Makes about 18 cookies. Chocolate chips, peanuts can be added.

stronghunter said...

Time for me to say good night and head upstairs. The gutter guy comes at 7:30. I kind of wish I had not agreed to it.

stronghunter said...

Oh, thanks, Judie. Yummm.

Judie said...

Hoda, sure is beautiful. Just right to warm the heart and the hands and feet. Enjoy!

Judie said...

Goodnight, Shirley. I'm sure you will be satisfied with the gutter work.

paula eagleholic said...

Sounds great, Judie...and a small recipe too!

Well folks, the excitement of the day has worn this "B" out (thanks Margy:)...and I think Nick is ready for bed too.

Gonna hit it for tonight....

(((Hugs all the way around♥)))

paula eagleholic said...

Oh Yes Hoda, enjoy! Hope it comes true!

Judie said...

Okay, the sandperson has returned to Annandale. Stubborn cuss. Thought I sent him to Martinsburg but oh no, he had to come back. So, now headed to the pillows again. Be back in the morning.

Hoda said...

Lynn, Margy is right Canada Day is the first of July, tomorrow. We used to call it Dominion Day till 1982, from 1867 Confederation Days. Now since 1983 we celebrate Canada Day instead. We repatriated the Constitution in 1982, which meant the Canadian Parliament Bills did not have to be approved by Westminister Hall in London, England before they became law.It was a coming of age for Canada. The Prime Minister then was Pierre Elliott Trudeau. So in fifteen minutes I will wish you all a Happy Canada Day according to eastern daylight time.

BEagle said...

Gosh. What I wouldn't do for a home made pnb cookie. Slurp.

I could always make some for my next binge allowance.

magpie said...

He's a Yo-Yo Judie
Just call him Truder when you see him...☺

Neat Hoda...very neat...
You'll be like us !

Good Night to all heading for those pillows, with Best Wishes for especially Sweeeeet Sleep

Hoda said...

Goodnight to all who have gone to bed. God Bless and sweet dreams.

Margy secretly I will be very happy if it was sunny all these days in a row even if the temperatures stayed in the seventies. I will be very surprised if we make the 90 degree...I am sometimes so very jealous of you guys and your temperatures...but it would be good to go out in sandals and no jacket.

Ms Bookworm said...

Hi, Gang,
Getting here later than I had hoped.
Got LOTS of transcription done today, no doubt thanks to Shirley's help! ;o]

Paula, I am SOOOOOO happy for you and for Nick!!! It's wonderful that he likes to ride in the car! Perfect! Bet you both enjoy the coming weekend!

Lynn, I bet Liesl was glad to see you. She's probably wondering who you've been petting!

YIPPEE!!! Sharon will be home for the holiday weekend! Don't worry about having 2 BP meds--I do, and I'm surviving! Glad the tests were all OK!
Thank GOD! Prayers continue for you, just in case you need them! Love ya, lady! You're the one who got me into Medical Transcription!

WV Dana, looks like you ARE "CO Dana" for a while! Good for you--hope you have a fantastic visit with your daughter.

Very happy to hear that the NBG dad has found a new sweetie! He deserves to be happy!

Ms Bookworm said...

Oh--Emma says to say "Howdy" and "Welcome to the blog" to Nick!

Judie, I did get all the transcription done! Turned in over 200 hours worth, done over the last 3 weeks. Phew!!! I'm taking a couple of days off to recuperate!

Lynn, I'm not real happy with the new Yahoo mail format, either. I say, if it's not broken, DON'T "fix" it! Oh, well--guess there's not much we can do. :o[

Hoda said...

OK JUDIE, I just heard about the case against Dominique Strauss Kahn is in the process of collapse even though they have DNA evidence...New Bail hearing tomorrow...will he be able to sue for defamation of character? The French papers are having a field day...

Hoda said...

Andy have you gopt any views on the Dominique Strauss Kahn case? Papers in France have gone balistic with the news that the case is in the process of collapsing.

Hoda said...

got, not gopt...sorry

Ms Bookworm said...

Omigosh, Judie! I just found your PB Cookie recipe!! THANK YOU! Will have to make some. Me cookie monster!

Hey, BEagle! Great to see you here!

Paula, LOVE your new avatar! Nick is indeed a handsome fellow! Sweet of you to stay close so he can get rested up. Say, who rescued who here?
Bet that Boo and Nugz are smiling down on both of you!

Ms Bookworm said...

Hoda, I don't know much about the case, since I've been so busy with school work.
Judie, what do you think about it? I would think that DNA evidence would be difficult to disprove, but not impossible.

Hoda said...

Ok I will say Goodnight and God Bless to all. See you in the morning God Willing.

Hoda said...

Thanks Andy, They are not trying to disprove the DNA evidence, yet the Prosecuter got in touch with the defence to say taht there are major credibilty issues and the papers in France are crying foul.

I am proud of you for the many hours of trascripts that you handed in. You deserve the rest. Good night and God Bless

Ms Bookworm said...

Well, I love having the time to chat a bit, but I'm really tired, and my eyes don't want to focus any more!

Making sure the porch light is on to guide the way. Enabling both security systems. Saying prayers for everyone, and every creature. (By the way, I found a pretty box to use as a prayer box. Will have to try to take a picture of it!) MTBR...

Have only the very sweetest dreams, everyone, and I will talk to you tomorrow.

By the way, have a happy Canada Day tomorrow, Hoda!

And Margy, let me wish you an early
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! If it's half as special as you are, it should be SPECTACULAR!!!!!

OK, gang, I'm calling it a day. God bless, and goodnight! Love all of you!

HE'S BACK TO PICKING STICKS OUT OF THE PIT. HE'S EXCAVATING.

Good morning!

Yes, I am up and getting ready, Margy. But it is very quiet upstairs. I just went to check on Kathryn. She's sleeping in a bit. Yesterday got to her.

But I must finish my coffee and get ready for the gutter guy. He will be here soon. Not sure what I think of him. Kind of think I might not tell him what the other bid is until he makes a bid himself.

Happy Canada Day, Hoda!!

Flash is all concerned about the noises the gutter guy is making. I just hope he does not start barking.

Costume Lady said...

GOOD MORNING...
SHIRLEY, if the gutter guy starts barking, I would tell him to leave!:)

stronghunter said...

No barking from the gutter guy yet, Wanda. Yeah, that would concern me.

Flash has decided that if I am not worried about the noises, he won't worry either. He has settled down on his bed.

The gutter guy is going to fix the vinyl siding, too.

Happy Birthday Margy.

grannyblt said...

Morning all. I've been nothing but a lurker here for the past few eeks.

grannyblt said...

And obviously make lots of typos when I do resurface...LOL

Kay said...

Does creeping in here before 9am still keep me in good standing with the Early Birds ? Hope so ! Sorry to have missed Truder's visit and such antics as the Linda Blair twist ! Slept in big time.

stronghunter said...

Typos not a problem, grannyblt. We are happy to see you.

stronghunter said...

Happy Canada Day, Hoda!!

My new profile picture is of my dog Maggie, a brindle boxer. We rescued her in 1985 and she was with us until 1995. I still miss her.

Kay said...

Wow, MARGY, you've inspired some pretty creative birthday messages ! Well deserved, too. I'm going to chime in and ditto all those messages. Hope you and NILLA both have birthdays that are as special as you each are !

♫♫HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU BOTH !♪♫♫♪

Enjoyed all the peanut butter cookie talk and think JUDIE's recipe sounds right good ! Here is my recipe for Quick, Easy, No Bake P-Nut Butter Cookies:

Open peanut butter jar.

Insert 1 TBSP

Scoop out 1 overflowing portion of peanut butter.

Put spoon up to mouth and devour.

Note: One of two eating methods may be used. The Lick and Savor or the Piggy One Bite.

Serves 1.

JUDYE - when is your birthday - this month? You must tell.

Morning KAY! That's my kind of baking.

bye out the door to see monkeys I can't get a answer on the phone there so I guess we will just drive up to see if they are open hard to tell on radar what is going on there

Trial in an indefinite recess. Defense has an objection.

stronghunter said...

Gutter guy doing another repair. He found some flashings that have deteriorated. I said okay--replace them. I do not take strolls on the rooftop to inspect these things. Another $40.00. Okay.

Lori O. said...

LOL - Shirley!

stronghunter said...

The masking tape I used on the loose siding has pulled some paint off the window trim. I will need to buy some paint and fix that myself. I can paint.

Lori O. said...

Finishing up here to go home soon! Finally. Been a long, long day.

Have a great day everyone, you know, safe, happy, healthy....

HAPPY Birthday MARGY ♥

BBAW-crocodile!

stronghunter said...

Lori,

You write commercials? I was surprised when I read that. I do not recall seeing on-air people doing any of the writing. Interesting.

stronghunter said...

Tee-hee, Kay. I like your peanut recipe.

Gutter guy is now blowing stuff off the porch. George is the interested one now. Maybe he is plotting an escape.

stronghunter said...

Work completed. Ended up costing me $190.00. Not bad.

stronghunter said...

Sounds like the "indefinite recess" could end quickly.

stronghunter said...

Have to go to dentist soon for permanent fillings for the work done before. Hunter is not thrilled. He spent a long time waiting at Kathryn's doctor yesterday.

I have a good book to take along for myself. Hunter could take a good book or magazine himself. We will see.

Kay said...

SHIRLEY, I like your gutter talk ! I know you'll be so happy to have gutters and vinyl siding in good repair again.

DANAMO, You have a lovely House and Garden Kitchen. The new look with dark cabinets and stunning counter tops is wonderful !

PAULA, 1st night with Nick a good one and he's all settled in ! You've lucked on to one fine dog there !

JUDYE, is "15" your response to Lori's question about your birthdate ? My dear mother's birthday was the 15th of July. It's still a special day for me. She would be turning 92 years old this year. Hard for me to believe I lost her 46 years ago. I've missed her so much !

PA-LYNN, I'd like to join the ranks of later risers for good. No good reason for a retired gal to be up at the crack of dawn. I was always a nighttime person, working a late swing shift for years. In attempting to adjust to a day time schedule that would put me in sync with most around me I went too far !

HODA, hope you'll have a glorious Canada Day ! O' Canada, we love you---you are a good neighbor !

Kay said...

Hmmm, sounds like Baez may be rethinking his tactics. He should be very wary of angering Judge Perry further. He's already in contempt of court and will be facing the music on that once the trial is over. I can't imagine anyone watching this trial and saying, "if I'm ever in trouble Baez is my man". His career is in jeopardy, I think.

stronghunter said...

Not a good idea to anger the judge.

hedgie said...

Good morning, Momsters and Dadsters.

Saying another HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Margy and Nilla, and Happy CANADA Day to Hoda. And a sweet memory day for Judy on her late Mom's birthday. (((HUGS)))

Hi, Lynne1~~~how are you? How is your dear Mom doing? Now all we need to complete the PA gang is for Diann to pop in! Or Lynne2 to complete the Lynn/e gang!!

Judie said...

Good morning, everyone.

Need to begin my book so settle in with another cup of coffee.

Paula, Nick seems to know he's home. Sure hope you both have a wonderful get-to-know-me better day and a fun-filled weekend.

Margy, happy birthday to you girl. Just think, if you were 35 you would not be having all these adventures with James the Wise. This is a good time of life for you. Enjoy the day and the year to come.

Nilla, happy birthday to you also. I hope you will have a lovely day and year to come.

Chapter 1

hedgie said...

Official announcement....July is National Ice Cream Month. I think this means that the government is giving us permission to eat ALL the I/C we want. Do I hear a round of applause???

hedgie said...

I found on FB when JudyE's b-day is! I sent her an email asking if she wants it published on the List!!!

JudeE...enjoy your outing with Jordyn again!

Glad that there was an eagle presence in the nest, and that you early birds were there to see it!!

hedgie said...

Paula, so cool that you had a bed partner!! ;)

Sure don't know how you creative people do these fancy greeting and celebration posts!!!! Cool!

Judie said...

Hoda, Happy Canada Day. Very interesting history. I did not realize Canada was still subject to English oversight until so recently. Don't know about the Strauss situation. I do psyc not law but do think he can sue for false arrest. Issue is with the credibility of the accuser and I have not been paying attention -- murder trumps sex -- Ms. Anthony has my attention. I'll check the newspaper in a few.

Sharon, glad you are home. Please take it easy and enjoy some rest and relaxation.

Hope Gene gets a good report from the doctor this morning. Should be improving by now.

Chapter 2

Judie said...

Andy, so happy you got the transcription done even if Shirley did have to help you. Just think about the difference in your comments from one year ago. You used to be thankful for a few days between classes and exams and now you're thankful for a few days off between transcriptions. I miss seeing those "A" reports.

DanaMo, I really like the fireworks. Couldn't imagine how you did that. Really nice. See Paula has some expertise with that as well.

JudyE, enjoy the day with Jordyn whatever you two end up doing. Have fun.

Kay, you have outdone me for easy PNB cookies. However, I must say that after I put the cookies in the oven I sneak a tablespoon of "cookie" just for fun.

Shirley, good to have the gutter work finished and for not so much money. Also nice that the critters didn't get all crazy with anxiety. Hope all goes well at the dentist and that Hunter isn't too bored.

Headed for more coffee and newspaper and trial. BBL

Chapter 3

Judie said...

The sound of applause s defeafening and I just bought some CHOCOLATE ice cream. Yippee!

bye

hedgie said...

Liesl is being a real pai this morning....attempting to chew on furniture.....I tripped over her trying to distract her and I think I broke my toe. ARGH!!!! I have her on the leash right now and she is tryimg to chew it. THis is reminiscent of some not too long ago BAD times. Going to play ball again.

BTW--in case anyone is wondering.....court is in recess until further notice while defense wastes the court's time on more procedural arguments!

hedgie said...

LOL, Kay, I also eat PB the way you describe!!!! I also use it that way to give pills to dogs!

Your boxer was a lovely dog, Lynne1! Know you miss her.

Shirley, sounds like you got a good bargain on today's work. Good luck at the dentist.

Kay, my Mom just turned 92. My Dad also would have been 92 this past March, but he's been gone simce '70----41 yrs. Sorry you lost your Mom at such a young age, too.

hedgie said...

I suspect that the French guy's case is going to turn out to be consensual....DNA evidence still there, but irrelevant if she initiated or agreed. They said her credibility was in question, so......

Oh, yes, the pundits all agree that Baez, in addition to being in trouble with the court, and maybe the bar, will probably never get another criminal case---if he even has a license once all is said and done.

hedgie said...

In typical doxie fashion, Liesl is laying in the sun---out on the deck! Seems perfectly content.

hedgie said...

Interesting factoid: if Baez succeeds in getting a mistrial, he will probably seal the fate of his client: in 98% of retrials the prosecution wins!

hedgie said...

Wanda---check your emails!!!!

JudyEddy said...

Just got back from seeing the monkeys It rained on us all the way up there and just was spinking when we got there and then it stoped Our lucky day I say She is down for a nap

Kay said...

LYNN, oh, no, not a broken toe ! That smarts and you can't do much but tape and endure the pain. Hope Liesl is now over her little bad girl spell. I've searched and searched without finding an answer to the Flipper question. All sources agree with Judge Perry that the kid put the whole trial in jeopardy. I'm just guessing that such a gesture toward either defense or prosecution, if seen by a juror, could cause him/her to think of the Flippee in a negative way ????? Have you heard anything in the commentary today that sheds light on this ?

JudyEddy said...

Oh no not a broken toe I am attempting to read the blog well I am doing backwards this may not be a good idea may have to do it the right way little confusiong this was

JudyEddy said...

Gonna start watching the trail again

JudyEddy said...

I guess they juror are going to be made that they are not going to be home for the 4th

JudyEddy said...

I think I just may take a nap I can always watch the trial and all the rain made me sleepy

JudyEddy said...

That would be a yes on that LYNN I heard the email chime in and there was no junk mail and I just found it in my regular email
