I have to repeat this I'm sure you all heard this one of the news reports said that CASEY tissue should be sponsored by SHAM WOW that she seems to get using the same tissue and if she really is crying it should be soaked because the camera are always on her and you never see her get a new tissue
Bravo, JUDYE, good job ! We thought you might like privacy when getting an early morning waxing !☺
Truly am sorry to have missed our dynamic duo, but you may have seen how late I was up last night.
Good Morning, LORI and DANA ! Don't blame you for going back to bed. I would, too, except for the fact that Malcolm will be arriving and I don't want to be all groggy at that time.
MARGY, I know you aren't here at SPCC yet, but FYI when you are, last night I upgraded Java, so we'll see if it will stand for having the blog and the nest up at the same time.
JUDY, Can you tell me how to record a visit and post it - and tell me where ever I should post it? I would really appreciate it but remember I am not a high functioning techie like you!
I haven't even caught up on the blog yet. I just fed the cats and made some coffee. Nor, have I checked my email, but it sounds like you did some tuning on your computer!
And Malcolm is coming this morning. He will be such great company for you. You're gonna miss him when Seth gets home again.
LORI You won't believe how I do the video I just set up my camera on a tripod and record it from my camera and download it that way Paula has a program that she uses It called SNAGIT I googled it but haven't downloaded it yet I am always afraid to download new stuff so I just use my camera there are several snagit listed the FREE on is the one I was going to down load there are several to select not for sure which Paula has
Good Morning, Eagle Pals Hi Judy, Kay, Lori, DanaMo (come on back)
JudyE You should get a prize, excellent reporting of the Nestcapadies ☺ Like Lori, I set my alarm, for 4:51: about the same time Lori was planning to get up but kept hitting the snooze button and here I finally am now... Thanks JudyE - so glad you got what you came for this morning !
Oofta ! I just knocked over a glass of water---no where near the puter, but half of it spilled onto my ancient Texas I. calculator---hope it survives. So glad Seth was not here to witness that as I won't allow him to take glasses without lids beyond the kitchen ! Bad Grandmother.
Since "upgrading" to IE-8 I've not been able to get video at the Goshawk nest.:( Last night I read their warning: For video feed, Windows Media Player is required. So, I downloaded it, but still no go. Any ideas, Early Bird Buds ?
And here I thought you were so hi-tech, JUDYE! That's funny to record it from your video cam off the monitor! Great idea since it works for you. Genius!
Doing a little catch-up:
LORETTA, LYNN - I never promised you a rose garden! Just kidding. Loretta Lynn get it? Can one of you Estonia nest lovers please post the link for the Black Stork Nest? That sounds incredible!
SHIRLEY - Part of knowing yourself & being happy is knowing your limits. You can help Johnny/Jimmy in other way, and you already have. Had to laugh at your post about taking him home, but you knew better. Wise Woman!
MARGY, I shook it and shook it upside down, dried all I could. No battery, so I just turned it on and can still get 2+2 with it. I think I've had it for about 25 years---they just don't make em' like that anymore.☺ Say, speaking of TI, whatever happened to Ross Perot ? Is he still alive ?
I want to go out now and water pots and gardens, but hoping we get some rain. My grass looks like HE _ _ ! I won't even try watering that. It's really weeds anyway. You just can tell so much when it's green and mowed. That's something I miss about California - having a nice green lawn and sprinklers, though it's not very GREEN to have that anymore.
I'll pass along all your nice posts about KATE saving LUCKY the bulldog. They think he is only 8 months. Definitely getting him out of that shelter and to a vet saved his life twice. I post some bathing pics of him and more vulture pics this weekend.
Jo: I went to Swinging Bridge, where I have seen the Bald Eagle, one time... It is Sleep Creek where your dear great grandson Anthony saw the Eagles... I can't go there alone, need to find a traveling partner who would do the driving... rough road, would rather not take my vehicle up there
Oh, yes, SHIRLEY ! I second MARGY's emotion ! We're celebrating with you. The teaching profession is losing one of the best, but you deserve all that retirement has to offer !!!! Congratulations !!!!
Good report, Wanda... on the Crab Leg Event...I've Seen GG tear into those crab legs...did she bring her own little tool like she did when I went with you folks ?
ok, hope the calculator springs back to life for you, Kay...don't you just Groan, AAARGH, and WOOF when that kind of thing happens !
MARGY - SLEEP CREEK sounds like a place we need to go!
KAY - when it comes to viewing cams and knowing the programs, I believe PAULA is the expert. She has helped many and knows the fixes. I used to have problems a few years ago and I don't anymore. I won't even make a suggestion. PAULA is your girl for this.
appreciate the post from Judy (at 6:55 pm pre-split) about our PammySue, sorry she lost her dear friend, but happy that here sister got a good MRI report
also sorry to hear that Nilla's daughter broke her leg! Hope healing is upon her
Kay - I thought I saved Estonia, but I think either Loretta or Lynn will post that again for you
Strong wind at the nest. Wouldn't be surprised if some of our rolling thunderstorms are moving in on that area. The last one went through here early this morning. Forecast calls for more today, but clearing by tomorrow and expecting a gorgeos weather week coming up---main thing is a drop in humidity. The city is beginning it's Mosquito spraying Tuesday, way ahead of the norm. I think we're just looking at a changing weather pattern. As I recall winter arrived a month early last Fall, overstayed it's welcome and now Summer arrived a month early.
Thanks MARGY and LORI, for enlisting help for my various problems ! Looks like the Java upgrade did the trick, knock on wood ! No glitches today !
I'm off to read the newspapers, etc.. Expecting my houseguest within the hour. Didn't even ask what time, but the kids usually hit the road about 8. Hopefully Malcolm will have had a couple of good outings and I won't have to take him on a walk for a couple of hours after arrival.
OMG just saw the prettiest juvie here...came from the right and landed in the tree for a few minutes....then took off back to the right....then came flying back right in front of the house...was being chased by 2 seagulls...looked liked a fledgling juvie....was large and had juvie coloring underneath....just watched in awe...
I see Margy reported the goshawk nest was up....Kay if you just did IE* you may need to check settings to make sure it is using wmp as the default...I use that at home but not on my phone so can't help much on that today
Lori---here's t he link for black stork cam: Estonia
Black Stork Cam (LES) is a Lesser Spotted Eagle this year (nest takeover!) I csn't remember which of the nests really has black stork this year---and at the moment I can't get any of them to play except the Lesser spotted---just keep trying all of them. Have never seen anything on their bear cam!
JudyE----you sure must have been busy this AM with the visit commentary! Sorry you were alone for so long!!
Guess Margy is at work now. Is DanaMo still sleeping?
Ha, KAy----I skip most ads, too! But do like Geico if it's the gecko!
PAULA - Great for NUGZ! Bet he does feel lots better with the Pred. Has to make you smile to see him happy. WOOF!
LYNN - Thanks for Estonia link. I appreciate it. :)
WELCOME to MALCOLM who should be at KAY's now. WOOF!
NEST WEATHER FORECAST:

Tonight: Showers and thunderstorms likely, mainly before 9pm. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 66. Light south wind. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.
Bad storm apparently never materialized in the wee hours---no evidence of it and I slept through it if it did! NO CRAMPS to speak of...and I'm still alive!
Great news LYNN! Your pills worked but I think everyone will echo this - that you shouldn't use that "pharmacy" again. God Bless HODA!
MARGY, Margy. Your Feather's Blog pictures are incredible! I love the cows in the water. Can't believe you spotted the turtle swimming and the Red (wing or shoulder) Hawketts! You must have great eyes. Cow pic is too cute with the calf.
Know you are gone, MArgy, but when I commented on your May pics (with the pine) it says it will post when approved.....?????? The others didn't do that!
Heading out to mow before it rains. Will feed the vulture nest gang. Need to chop up and freeze their future entrees. Then off to pick up my birthday I-Pad that was ordered! YEAH!
PAULA - What a beautiful sight that juvie must have been. Your sighting reports are the inspiration of my weekends. Thanks!
Lynn I do believe you are right. We didn't get any rain during the night or early morning hours.
In reading back: Bless Kate's heart for saving that Lucky the bulldog.
Wanda so glad GG enjoyed herself with the crab legs.
JudyE thanks for all the comments about our eagles being in the nest. Funny "SHAM WOW" tissue lol
Kay see Malcolm is coming today. I know from past comments how much you enjoy him ( :
Lori you are higher tech than you think lady.
Margy I have been wanting to go to Swinging Bridge and Sleepy Creek. To try to see eagles.
Margy hoping you have a good day without a lot of surprises. Nice I'm already thinking of you and those two days you'll have off.
Yep "PAULA is the computer TECH"!!!
Sorry prayers for PammySue for the lost of her friend.
What Nilla's daughter broke her leg. Now what is going on in that family. Nilla's granddaughter broke her leg earlier in the month or the end of last month at her Dad's. More prayers for healing for that family.
Margy good instructions for calculator and battery to dry out. Can also use lightly hair dryer after removing battery.
Shirley is out the door for graduation of her class. Shirley is retired I do believe now. Hoping for a nice day for her and the graduation.
Have to check out Margy's pictures!! ( :
Paula I hear the excitement in your voice. So neat a juvie. You say 2 seagulls was chasing it. I bet you are in "awe". So happy Nugz is feeling better this morning.
Michael 56 hours...I'd be sleeping too.
I have seen on the live feed some small birds with blue. Can't catch whether they are bluebirds, inigos or what???? Maybe someone else can tell they are so fast.
I wanted to tell Lori and Megan plus everyone else.
Yesterday when I left to go to Lowes. I was driving on Rt. 901 not too far from home. Sitting on this fence post was a very LARGE bird. I slowed down and got to see yes Lori and Megan, "A BLACK VULTURE". They are not ugly like the turkey vultures.
Now I am looking for live webcam of black vultures. lol
Lynn it was past the pig farm on the right. Next to that is the open field. He was sitting on the fence post there. Watching the field. I thought it was pretty neat. Since Lori and Megan had been talking about them. Then I got to see one. They aren't ugly like the Turkey Vulture.
Now let me ask a question. Flying in the sky. How do you tell a juvie eagle from a black turkey vulture???? Information I got:"a black vulture only lives 5 years over 20 years in captivity. •Black Vultures can be distinguished from Turkey Vultures by white patches near their wing tips and by noting that their wings are held flat in flight". So how would you know whether it is a black vulture or a juvie eaglet-eagle???
Good morning - I was playing catch up and I think I just made it! Great job JudyE on this morning's nest events! I was actually awake at 5:00, went to the loo and thought about turning on the PC but my eyes weren't fully open so I flopped right back into bed. Shirley - remember to bring one of those Beach balls back with you for a souvenir of this Great Day of Freedom!
Kay I loved your comment: "The kinds of thunder that sounds like Angels are having a blowling tournament." Never heard that one before and I liked it lol
Hoda I would love to see you practicing with the Dragon Boat. Bet it is beautiful. It just sounds like it is. Being on the water is to me "such a spiritual happening".
MARGY love the pics the bird crossing the street DID he look both ways and Love the cows in the river taking a bath tooo cute I love cows I love their soft noses to pet

then try it again..if it is battery operated
The nest just went to 16:18 before timing out. No rhyme or reason to that function since the cam came back.

JudyE thanks for all the comments

Here we go again----Service Error 503!!
Kay, mosquito spraying to start in Martinsburg next week, too, but no such thing out here in the county. :(
HELLO SHARON!
You and THELMA taking good care of yourselves? Hugs to both of you.
Leaving now but wanted you two to know that I've been thinking good thoughts for you.
ARGH---just had a bird hit the window right here next to me---jumped a foot!! Guess I better look out and see if it's okay.
Whew---nothing there...guess he's okay!
No, Lori, I won't order from that place again, for sure!!
Lori remember your instructions for people mowing. (I think you gave them lol)...drink lots of water.
Filled the bird feeder. Made new juice this morning for hummingbirds. Put up my new hummingbird feeder. Now I'm watching to see what all comes.
Now where did everyone go??????
I wanted to tell Lori and Megan plus everyone else.
Yesterday when I left to go to Lowes. I was driving on Rt. 901 not too far from home. Sitting on this fence post was a very LARGE bird. I slowed down and got to see yes Lori and Megan, "A BLACK VULTURE". They are not ugly like the turkey vultures.
Now I am looking for live webcam of black vultures. lol
Cuckoo birds in the background at the Lesser Spotted Eagle nest!!! Funny!!! Don't think I've ever heard them outside of a clock before!!!
Lynn what is link for Lesser Spotted Eagle Nest??? ty
Dana, scroll up to the Estonia link---read my note.
Where on 901 did you see the black vulture?
Lynn it was past the pig farm on the right. Next to that is the open field. He was sitting on the fence post there. Watching the field. I thought it was pretty neat. Since Lori and Megan had been talking about them. Then I got to see one. They aren't ugly like the Turkey Vulture.
Now let me ask a question. Flying in the sky. How do you tell a juvie eagle from a black turkey vulture???? Information I got:"a black vulture only lives 5 years
over 20 years in captivity. •Black
Vultures can be distinguished from
Turkey Vultures by white patches near their wing tips and by noting that their wings are held flat in flight".
