Thanks for the link Lynn. Very interesting place and glad the Rebels will be given good care.
The dumpster left late yesterday afternoon and today got 43T of driveway stone. Our guys (except Jim, he's working today) and the neighbor are still working on putting the stone in the joint alleyway and each one's driveways. They will sleep like babies tonight. HOpe they get done before the storms. The Susquehanna Valley is under a tornado watch until 10 PM.
Hope all the momsters & dadsters south of us are safe from the impending storms.
oh she did, no doubt. But I think in the beginning, she was ill prepared by the family for what she would face, and that things being what they were then, it was like a "forced" situation for Chas. He was in love with someone else who was NOT qualified to be his bride. It all changed everything....Kate and Will have LIVED together, and she isn't even ROYAL! I think Diana was maybe loved too much, and Chas hated too much.
Our Momster, Chrissy, lives in England. She and I had quite the chat about the Royal Family and it's goings ons. (wow is that bad English or what) There were many things going on that never made the press here. I sure wish Kate and Wills the very best!
I am home. I know about the warnings. The storm passed by here; it's a bit north. Kathryn is on the road in the general area, though. I called her and suggested she call the sitter.
I have already put the cats in the basement, but the dogs and I are hanging out upstairs. No way could I herd two cats who hate each other and a blind dog downstairs quickly enough if it becomes necessary.
Lynne2 I loved Diana. Think she did a wonderful job instilling in her boys a caring for the poor and the common folk. Kate seems to be so much more at ease than Diana was when she married. I guess she's older and also had the time and training to get used to her role. I wish them both well. The boys really seem to be a wonderful reflection of Diana.
I loved Diana too. I never had a favorable opinion of Charles, or Camille. I think William and Kate are a lovely couple, and I pray their marriage is a blessed one.
She did many good things. And brought the public closer to the Monarchy. She was a bit naughty, too! I really liked her a lot. And I think she had a good deal of time with her boys to instill many good things. But, yes, they were raised by dad and the rest of the Royals after her death....and given all that happened, I think they have been VERY careful with the boys!
Leona, that was the same link I had posted! How's the ankle feeling today??
Yep, Glo, James River....which runs past Jamestown (the first permanent English settlement by colonists in 1607). The water area known as Hampton Roads is one of the world's biggest natural harbors (more accurately a roadstead or "roads"), and incorporates the mouths of the Elizabeth River and James River with several smaller rivers and itself empties into the Chesapeake Bay near its mouth leading to the Atlantic Ocean. So they will be close to their home territory even if not right at the NBG. Along the James is where survey planes saw the nest with 4 eaglets in it!
Cool Hedgie History just wasn't my thing back then. I had no clue why I would even want to know LOL. Sounds like a wonderful area for their release indeed.
DanaMo - you have to stick around - or I would come and hunt you down and bring you back! Only becasue we love you!!! And, there are not many of us Early Birders.
WV Dana - the 5:00 prayer for was Red and his family in the middle of the worst tornado activity ever reported there. BTW: I am SO HAPPY you're home!
Well!!! I did not mean to start the Charles and Diana argument as to who did whom wrong...neither was faithful and enough said. I am very pleased that the boys turned out so well and they seem headed in the right direction...The Brits will pay for the security for the wedding and Her Majesty and His Royal Highness Prince Charles pick up the rest of the tab along with the Middletons who are also contributing.
In Canada we will See Prince William and Catherine this summer and we get to pick up the tab for the whole trip...
Lynne2 I mainly do a daily Hatha Yoga practice. I go to the yoga studio for my Hatha practice for an hour and a half each day...It brings focus to my day.
Did you hear what Prince Harry said? That he didn't dare drink before he does the toast. Is he implying that he can't hold his liquor??
Yes, Megan...that kind of expense does not sit well with many commoners. I thought that Chrissy had a peeve about such, but from what Lynne says, maybe she got over it!
Interesting, Norfolk male just returned to nest, looked puzzled, he used his talon to spike the leftover fish that he didn't finish earlier. Looked around for a few mintues, then put fish in his beak and flew off.
Hi all ! Back during another lull in the storm activity.
Lori, you said you might not have many "listeners" Friday morning. Please fill me in on what you do !
Lynn and Leona, thanks for the link telling about the arrival of the eaglets and the state of the art, Mayoesque physicals.
I'm most impressed with all the comments made by Ed Clark, very informative, showed sensitivy to our emotions and clearly has the best interests of both the eaglets and Norfolk Daddy in mind. It's hard for us not to ascribe human emotions to the eagles we love and watch, but he makes a good case for not doing so. Thinking back to previous years, it has amazed me just how quickly eagle parents disassociate themselves with their eaglets. Once they've fledged and had some hunting/scavenging lessons the parents really shy away from contact. By the next nesting season they will run off any juvie who dares to enter the territory again. That tells me that this adult male will soon start a new life, find a new mate and hopefully "convince" her that NBG is a great place to live. It's a shame they don't get it when it comes to avoiding airports and runways, however. I saw a few posts on the NBG chat line yesterday where viewers were blaming man, techology, lack of consideration by the airport, etc.. Did Ed Clark say anything to defend the port, the airline, the pilot ? They can hardly be blamed when eagles choose to build nests near them !
I think Prince Harry was implying that Grand Maman was going to be there and he was to watch and not say anything that might be offensive to her...I understand there is a party at the Palace till six in the morning and Prince Hary is organizing it...
Pa Eagle from Norfolk was just at the nest looking around and saw the two fish not eaten. He flew off with one of them, I think wondering where the chicks are...
Couldn't read this blog or look at any eagle cam today at work since I couldn't trust myself to not cry. Feeling a bit better now - seeing the pictures of the eaglets, and just now seeing the male on the nest. Certainly wish our nest here would have been filled with growing eaglets. As we've all agreed, it's been quite a year. My love and "expertise" as been with another animal as far from an eagle as is possible to get. Yet, I have learned quickly to love these magnificent creatures. And yes, I'll be up at 6:00 watching the royal wedding. Another reason to cry perhaps?? :)
I just pulled my gaffe. Thought I had put dinner in oven (honey BBQ wings). Was watching clock...went to turn them, and there they were still on the counter. DUH!
I'd love to read Ed Clark's comments. I'm afraid I haven't had the opportunity to follow as closely lately to the blog. What eagles is Mr Clark speaking of and where can I find his comments?
I meant to say thank you so much to those of you who posted Ed Clark's comments this afternoon. I wasn't able to read them in real time and relied completely on your fine reportage !
I remember when I was a kid (between 7 and 13 because that's when we were in the house I am thinking of) Mom got out the mop to dust under the beds so we could shelter under them....no basement. Daddy stood on the porch scanning the skies, watching for the tornado....he saw it, but it was far away.....if I remember correctly, it hit Ft. Belvoir. We didn't have to dive under the beds!!
We had a tornado hit here about two weeks ago. They are still picking up all the pieces. And I think it's rained every single day in April. We used to get rain - now we get horrible lighting storms and hail. Very strange weather.
Lynne2, you ask "who's going to be here Friday morning ?". I will probably be up with the early birds and my 1st priority will be the SSCC and any visit by our Queen Belle and her consort. I wouldn't have gotten up so early for the Royals, but will no doubt tune in since I'm up anyway. I wouldn't have taped it either. So, I guess I'm interested only if it's convenient and not because I have any great fascination with the royal family. Guess they're great for tourism and publicity.
Kay - I'm not sure about the why I got involved with elephants. I've studied them, read, wrote, volunteered, cried, rejoiced...I love the matriarchal society, their empathy and communication. I never allowed my children to go to a circus (which I know may sound strange to some) and have tried to raise them to love animals and respect them. I watch the elephants on a cam from Nashville.
Kay IM Ed Clark said its hard to move an airport. Eagles like them as they are usually away from populated areas and little rodents crawl around etc etc. Often they are also near water. He admits its an issue they are looking at. They have been brainstorming ideas to distract the birds away from runways and continue to look at the problem but "Birds don't seem to be paying any attention to them".
Pamela, thanks for the explanation ! I've known several people who collect "elephants", but have not run across any as avidly interested as you are. Here in Columbus we are so proud of the elephant population and their productivity at our zoo---the zoo Jack Hanna made famous or vice versa !
Glo, thanks for the report on Ed's airport remarks. It all makes sense !
Haven't been on the blog since Sunday afternoon, and I have a lot to catch up on!
So sad to hear the eagle who was found and brought to the vet didn't make it. I am guessing those internal injuries were pretty bad.
And I'm just heartbroken about the female NBG eagle hit by the plane and seeing that her eaglets were removed from the nest today.
Mentioning that the eaglets will triple in size over the next month certainly makes it understandable that the Dad couldn't adequetely feed all three on his own in the near future.
When you see one of the eaglets being held by a person, for those who have never seen one in the flesh, it puts their size into perspective, doesn't it? Cams don't do eagle size justice!!
Leona thanks for that link - Those little rebels are going to be living the good life until they get out on their own.
We went into Frederick to eat and wow the rains were really coming down and with the winds it was sideways. Hung out in the restaurant until it was clear enough to get to the car. We travel 5 miles westward and there wasn't a drop!
Thanks for the link to the video of the exam, Lynn. They're sure getting big. Such a sad turn of events. But hopefully they will grow, thrive and fledge!!
Lynn, thanks for the Exam video ! This is a great chance for those professionals to further their studies of eagles. Not one anyone would have wished for, but when opportunity knocks.....
BELLE STILL ALONE ON THE NEST - 27 MINUTES NOW. HASN'T MOVED FROM THE MIDDLE OF THE NEST SINCE SHE FLEW IN. FACING THE 12:00 POSITION - LOOKING AROUND.....
Lynne, can you hear thunder? Can you put Daisy in a small room with music??? Our first doxie when I was a kid was so frightened of storms....we had to have O2 on hand to give her. She actually had a heart attack and died in my dad's arms during a storm. :(
Lynn, I'm aware of their work and experience, but also know they must relish each chance to learn more and to hone the skills they work so hard for. God Bless them !
One of our neighbors dogs, Marly, climbs the fence when there is thunder. I was working in the front yard yesterday and she joined me twice. I pet her, love her, and take her home, she is a very sweet dog but sure does not like thunder.
Hey everyone. Tried to catch up on blog but too much going on LOL! Hope everyone from home MD/PA is safe!! I grew up in Fairfield, PA but spent much time down toward DC and lived in Montgomery County before moving here. I consider that whole area home :)
I've been keeping up on the NBG eaglets today and am saddened that so many people are criticising the decisions made in the best interest of the babies. I think people think with their hearts and don't see the true circumstances all the time. I'm so sad for the papa eagle who must be pretty confused at this point. I'm sure he'll be ok though and maybe come back next year with a new bride.........maybe we can hook him up with Belle!!!! Has that been suggested already??
Lolly, a friend posted a pic of a puppy for adoption at a nearby rescue....I applied....and it looks like I just MIGHT be the chosen furever home. She's a 4 mo. old mini-doxie, rare Piebald coloring. Weighs 4# now....max should be about 8#. Cute as a button!!!
Lynne2 and Lynn - My dog is horrible during storms or even rain these days. He was caught outside in a storm once and hasn't been the same since.
I spent two hours in the middle of the night with him. It was the only room other than the basement that had no windows. I turn on the exhaust fan to muffle the thunder and he can't see the lightening. I worry he is going to have a heart attack during a storm, too. He's a border collie and he's 10 now. I fear the older he gets, the riskier it is.
Christine, I was DC-borne and bred, but spent 7-21 in VA suburbs before moving to WV when I married. It still is and always will be home to me! Infact, my last home there was only about a mile from where Judie now lives.
They often wrap the tails of expectant mares. Less clean-up to do....fewer flies attracted. Wish I could get that cam to play....but it won't. :(
Ed Clark stopped back into moderated chat briefly again this evening. I don't think anyone has posted this. Blog is long and very busy today. Anyway here it is:
"For the scores of people who have made contributions online or by phone, a special thanks. We have a crew coming in tomorrow morning to start the installation of a webcam on the babies. It may take a couple of days, but we are committed to getting it up and running as soon as possible. I truly understand the loss that this group feels, and we'll do everything possible to get you reconnected with your birds. Finally, I just want to say that the last 36 hours have been deeply painful in many ways, yet inspiring and hopeful in others. Thank you all for your concern and for your support. I will try to monitor some of the questions and provide answers as time allows. Rest easy tonight knowing that the babies are safe, content, and destined for a success, even though the path is not the one any of us would have chosen. Ed Clark, WCV "
Be safe everyone. Weather worries me out there so much right now.
Looks like she's telling him she has a "headache"! LOL
I was actually born at Holy Cross in Silver Spring, MD. Mom and Dad went to Wheaton High school so that whole area was very familiar to me! Oh, and Grandma taught at Diamond elementary in Gaithersburg.
Mr. Truder poofed! Belle still sitting in the egg cup. I am beginning to wonder??
Wow, did you see that? Truder returned with a stick and about landed on Belle. She took it away from him and placed it. LOL They are running all over each other!
I am happy to announce, that the Red-Shouldered Hawk at Swinging Bridge is roosting in the nest... and I found ONE Jack-in-the Pulpit, the "same one" - that I dedicated to my friend with a brain tumor last year, in the very same spot ! ♥

I hope Shirley is not still driving.
Lord let her and her family reach safety.

Hoda, what kind of yoga do you practice?
Hoda, also need to add that Prince Charles did his share of wrong, too!
Lynne2 is Chrissy excited about the marriage?
I am home. I know about the warnings. The storm passed by here; it's a bit north. Kathryn is on the road in the general area, though. I called her and suggested she call the sitter.

that little filly is crashed out on the straw without a care in the world!
I've heard that Brits are more excited about the marriage than the wedding.
Yes Chirssy is VERY excited! I am hoping she'll come on and blog during the ceremony. Not really eagle related, of course.....LOL!
Hi Paula. A fellow bleeding heart lover.
The Brits better love the wedding, it's costing them over 20 million dollars...
yes Liz, I think that's true!
Chas did a BAD thing. However, had he not been so pressured into marrying and marrying the right sort of woman.....
Okay, what's the link to the foal cam?
I loved Diana too. I never had a favorable opinion of Charles, or Camille. I think William and Kate are a lovely couple, and I pray their marriage is a blessed one.
I agree, Maria!
PANana....love them!
Foal Cam
If she was naughty....she learned from Charles.
no doubt Liz!!
Maria, maybe you'll get some inspiration from the little filly!
(in case you haven't done so, you REALLY have to check out her art!)
All the storms we are having here may be in the nest area tomorrow or before.
OK so who is going to be here Friday morning??!!
Yes Red-there are storms popping up now, but I think the bigger ones will come in the morning tomorrow, at least that's what they are saying.
Can I just say how sorry I am that I don't have any valium for poor Daisy....
Kathryn is almost home now. She has picked up Hunter.
Leona, that was the same link I had posted! How's the ankle feeling today??
Yep, Glo, James River....which runs past Jamestown (the first permanent English settlement by colonists in 1607). aw, I wish I was all sound asleep in a pile of sweet smellin' straw!
Need to feed animals....
Praying for safe travels for the Shirley.
Keep your eyes to the skies, the storms are popping up now.
The royal wedding . . . I can't manage it I am afraid. I did see the wedding of Charles and Dianna.
Diann, I got 18 tons a few weeks ago! Dumptruck did a really good job of spreading. SIL didn't need to do too much raking.
Tornado WARNING now for Franklin Co., PA. Hope that isn;t where a ny of our PA momsters are.
We are on watch here, Diann until late this evening.
Thanks, Lynne. They are home now.
Shirley's county has now cleared the warnings....
LOL, Paula, yep, a very long commute to Waynesboro!!
Cool Hedgie History just wasn't my thing back then. I had no clue why I would even want to know LOL. Sounds like a wonderful area for their release indeed.

yeah DanaMo....stay with us please!!!!
I hope all who are experiencing the tornado warnings are safe and may it pass without too much damage.
More and more warnings in northern VA----Judie.....are you home??
Now watch throughout area is extended until 10am tomorrow.

what kind of animal Pamela?
Tornado near Triangle Va....
http://www.ustream.tv/channel/eagle-cam just look at the size of the feet on these Duke Farm kids!
Belvoir. We didn't have to dive under the beds!!
tornado WARNING, I meant to say
LOL - Elephants! How's that for being rather removed from eagles
Pamela, you have to tell us more ! Elephants ? Why ? Where ? Intrigueing !!!!
We had a tornado hit here about two weeks ago. They are still picking up all the pieces. And I think it's rained every single day in April. We used to get rain - now we get horrible lighting storms and hail. Very strange weather.
That's funny Lynn! My dad used to sit on the porch and say, "if it gets quiet and still, we'll go to the basement"
ELEPHANTS!!!!!! Talk to us Pamela!
They are showing the tornado coverage in Birmingham. Sirens going off. Saying conditions going downhill rapidly.
My WOOD THRUSH is singing his evening song outside!
When is Margy supposed to get home?
Lynne2, you ask "who's going to be here Friday morning ?". I will probably be up with the early birds and my 1st priority will be the SSCC and any visit by our Queen Belle and her consort. Maria, Ed Clark was chatting live on NBG discussion (right side of cam). Several posted some of his comments here.....read back through blog.
Kay - I'm not sure about the why I got involved with elephants. I've studied them, read, wrote, volunteered, cried, rejoiced...I love the matriarchal society, their empathy and communication. oh LYNNELLEN, you have MAIL!!!!!
He was talking about the NBG eagles, that are now at WCV.
Pamela, is that the rescue that...uh, shoot. Tippy Hedron started?
Kay IM Ed Clark said its hard to move an airport. Eagles like them as they are usually away from populated areas and little rodents crawl around etc etc. Often they are also near water. Tornado warning for Prince George's Co.....very close to where my friend Joan lives....
Oh, oh....now Loretta is in the line of fire......wonder if she's home??
whew, looks to be going just north of her
Need to go take shower before lightning starts....LORETTA, JUDIE where are you??? RED???
Pamela, thanks for the explanation ! I've known several people who collect "elephants", but have not run across any as avidly interested as you are. Here in Columbus we are so proud of the elephant population and their productivity at our zoo---the zoo Jack Hanna made famous or vice versa !

Lots of sad nest stories this year.
Lynn, LOL on the dinner delay ! That was a "Margy Moment" !
Kathryn works in Triangle. She just came from there. She's concerned because those images of rotation were right where the shop is.
Been lurking and trying to watch were the bad weathers areas on tv are.
Hope everyone stays safe.
Closing down back and legs hurting.

Been trying to find a minute to boot the computer between wind and rain, etc.
Please everyone stay in and stay safe. Take precautions if you have ANY doubt. ♥

Hope Loretta is safely home and in the basement!! Dangerous conditions in her area now.
thank GOD Kathryn got out of work when she did.
And I'm glad that she's gracing us alone!!
Have not read the blog. Just saw Belle in the nest and came to the current posts.
More weather coming from the southwest.
WOO HOO LYNN!
An auto body shop is not where you want to be in a tornado. Remember the movie Twister? Her shop does not have a pit to hide in.
Shirley, so happy to know Kathryn is safe.
Here are pics in the greater DC area.
Tornado pics
Loretta lives near Forestville?
Lynn, thanks for the Exam video ! This is a great chance for those professionals to further their studies of eagles. Not one anyone would have wished for, but when opportunity knocks.....
BELLE STILL ALONE ON THE NEST - 27 MINUTES NOW. HASN'T MOVED FROM THE MIDDLE OF THE NEST SINCE SHE FLEW IN. FACING THE 12:00 POSITION - LOOKING AROUND.....
WCV posted on FB:
We'll be doing our absolute best to update everyone on the progress of the Norfolk Botanical Garden Eaglets. Please stay tuned!
Amen to that!
No Jeopardy tonight......constant weather coverage...
poor Daisy has herself shoved up against the kitchen door....strong cell over us now....
Yikes, Lynn ! Even the pictures scare the heck out of me.
Yes, Loretta is in Forestville, Shirley.
Kay, they have lots of experience with eagles at WCV. They are a class act down there!
Mits is on zoo duty....sure hope she gets home okay.
Lynne----it is heading your way....is Steve home yet? Do you have a basement??
Lynn, I saw something the other day that made me think I had missed a post. Are you actively looking for a dog now?
Ok, I would have sworn the momma horse had her tail shaved this morning? Was it wrapped or something?
Here's the full text of Ed Clark's conversation today:
Ed Clark remarks
TORNADO WARNING....ME!!!!!
Oh, and her name is Sissy!
Oh my what a beautiful eagle in our nest
Lynne2 and Lynn - My dog is horrible during storms or even rain these days. He was caught outside in a storm once and hasn't been the same since.
I spent two hours in the middle of the night with him. It was the only room other than the basement that had no windows. I turn on the exhaust fan to muffle the thunder and he can't see the lightening. I worry he is going to have a heart attack during a storm, too. He's a border collie and he's 10 now. I fear the older he gets, the riskier it is.
What kind of a dog do you have, Lynne2?
There's Judie!!!! Relieved to know you are home, gal!!!
BBL - Going to try and eat some dinner.
Had oral surgery today and I'm HURTING!!
certainly looks like Belle to me...
sound, no sound, sound, no sound
Hello Eagle Pals xox
I'm not the only one watching am I
Oh Okay I see she has been there awhile, had to read backwards a bit
Belle's calling out, she sounds upset
LOL Hedgie puppy smiles coming your way.
Oops, wrong camera...that was Decorah.......sorry
Christine, I was DC-borne and bred, but spent 7-21 in VA suburbs before moving to WV when I married.
It still is and always will be home to me! Infact, my last home there was only about a mile from where Judie now lives.
They often wrap the tails of expectant mares. Less clean-up to do....fewer flies attracted.
Wish I could get that cam to play....but it won't. :(
I'm going to OZ.....been nice to know ya!
Oh, Linda....sorry your mouth hurts. No fun. Eat soft!
Unfortunately, every episode of that extreme fright truly does weaken a dog's heart...so sad.
LOL Christine, I was wondering what was wrong with my hearing !
haven't read backwards....
will catch up after awhile
What happened to the female eagle at the WVEC nest?
I hesitate to even say this...
but she wouldn't be thinking about laying an egg...would she ?
About ready to batten down the hatches again.
Also thanks hedgie, for posting a link to Ed Clark's comments.
The female at NBG got killed yesterday morning by an airplane. :(
Maria
Norfolk Female Parent Eagle -
she was struck and killed by an aircraft, early Tuesday morning, returning to the nest with a fish for the babies
Now, about that horse's tail?? Was it taped? I would love to have a doxie puppy. Mine are all old and decrepit like me!
I have been wondering about the times a female eagle is fertile.
Maria
I think you can find what you need to know here :
Norfolk Va Eagle Cam
He's back
Well, here is Truder
Oh how heartbreaking! So sad. Glad to hear that they intervined with the chicks and hopefully all of them will survive.
I come back to puter to see that Truder has arrived.
Saw Truder arrive. They are not exactly "friendly" with each other.
Oh, Lynn, I am so excited for you. I do hope this works out for you.
Well, olook at that! Belle sitting in the egg cup!
Maria, I had answered you earlier about what happened yesterday.
Belle laying down ODD HUH
Looks like she's telling him she has a "headache"! LOL
I was actually born at Holy Cross in Silver Spring, MD. Mom and Dad went to Wheaton High school so that whole area was very familiar to me! Oh, and Grandma taught at Diamond elementary in Gaithersburg.
POOF TBIRD
And Good-Bye Truder out at the 4 or 5
He left and came right back.
attack I got that on film belle turned over sort of
belle not happy with him
Mr. Truder poofed! Belle still sitting in the egg cup. I am beginning to wonder??
Wow, did you see that? Truder returned with a stick and about landed on Belle. She took it away from him and placed it. LOL They are running all over each other!
I have sound on their cam, just wind though. She does not look happy with him. I wonder if he took a fish earlier or something.
OH I see he returned, big surprise
My Stick! says Belle
Dam fight or what
Fighting over where to put the stick
Give him hell
LOL Get him Belle!!!!
Belle is wrangling a stick quite vigorously....he tries to help...and she goes after him.
Truder is getting a lesson in nestorations.
POOF BELLEthanks for the nice visit
Poof Belle
What the hell was all that fighting lover quarrel
Good grief! Wonder if they're married or something! lol
Belle got MAD and poofed! Way to go Belle!!!
He seems frustrated LOL
And now he undoes what she did with the stick in question.

Oh, Glo, thanks for posting that new message from Ed Clark. Way cool that there will be a cam on them quickly!!!! Wonderful news.

Truder back.
He's BACK
he forgot he left the stick out of place LOL
Trying to look industrious.
New severe thunderstorm warning here. The alarm has gone off so many times I have lost count.
And light is on.
Hate to leave when there is action in the nest, but din din is ready.
Oh, well, color is gone anyway. LOL
Yes, I also enjoyed reading the comments about NBG. Fantastic that funds have been pouring in and a cam in being installed.
poof
Gone again
Bet that's it for tonight.
I am happy to announce,
that the Red-Shouldered Hawk at Swinging Bridge is roosting in the nest...
and I found ONE Jack-in-the Pulpit, the "same one" - that I dedicated to my friend with a brain tumor last year,
in the very same spot ! ♥
Almost split time.
Watch for the SPLIT
Oh, someone asked what Lori does....was it Kay??? She's a radio broadcaster.
Lori on the radio
Well if I am going to try to read backwards I better get on the stick....
Thanks Lynn-Hedgie for getting the word,(to me at work) albeit sad news, that the Norfolk Babies were removed from the nest

L♥ve to all in the meantime
Wow, this thread is getting l-o-n-g!
Margy, glad you got some nature time after your rough day.
