Ordered pizza for tonight. I had lots of leftovers for myself from last night's dinner, but Will is here playing games with Hunter, so I figured everyone would like pizza and some chicken wings.
They said three days for the next hatch....don't think it will be that long! 2nd hatch was about 5:30 this morning....thought it was a bit later.... LOL....they act as if this is the only nest, pair, eggs, hatches anywhere!!!! Bet they would be surprised to know how many there are that have cams!!!
The Laird wasn't as much of a gentleman as I'd remembered,, he didn't as much land in the nest as land onto Isla,, did the deed and flew off,, bit if a shock really at 7,50 am in the morning,,,
So far I think we have counted, at least 30 times already,, they can go to 160 before eggs are laid,,, PHEW !!!"
Mema Jo and Paula and everyone I think if whatever name is used for the intruder. If for the Season 2012 the intruder is the one Belle chooses to have eggs and eaglets. We should wait till then and then we should "THEN DO A POLL VOTE" like we did to name Liberty and Belle. That way the new people are included in "voing in the poll for the name of Belle's new man". That might seem a long time off to properly give him a name. We need to wait to make sure that is who Belle chooses. I would enjoy the new people being involved too in the "POLL VOTE TO NAME BELLE'S NEW MAN.
Hi Hey just wanted you all to know the little eaglet did not wander at Decorah. I was watching and you bet it was pretty upsetting so I went walking with DEX again; thinking about all the option that the adult eagle had . Dex seems to be getting lots of walks this eagle season.
WOW Glo!! That was amazing. I had to watch the beginning several times before I realized it was the eaglet furtherest away from him when he reached down in the cup that actually opened its mough and grabbed onto his feathers on the side of his head. When Dad pulled his head up, the eaglet was still latched on, hence it was tossed out to the right.
@Stronghunter-saw a great comic concerning kids and grades. The first picture is set in like 1975 of a parent yelling at child for getting bad grades. Then the second frame is 2011, the parent is yelling at the teacher for the child getting a bad grade. Unfortunately this is what we teach our kids today. Blame others, take no responsibility.
Have heard some strange stories. One teacher, who had been at a private school, said that a parent scolded her because the kid was not getting homework done. According to the parent, it was the teacher's responsibility to make sure homework was done. This is for real. I heard it directly from the teacher.
Glad the Decorah babe is safely tucked in. The nest was a spot on the Channel 9 news earlier. Filmed before the escapee escaped.
Shirley, sorry about the fight situation. I guess one of the reasons I prefer college is that, by law, I am not allowed to discuss a student with the parent(s)without the student signing a waiver. Don't think I could hold my comments if I were in your situation.
Linda, welcome to the world of eagles to include all the ups and downs and human heart palpitations.
Margy, so happy you had some time outdoors today. How's it going with the noisy toddler person upstairs?
I just watched Glo's video and Daddy didn't do anything. #1 eaglet grabbed dad. Watch real close. He grabs and holds on. I was so amazed watching mom putting her baby back. That was just awesome.
We run up against it with dual enrollment students. The college does not want us to discuss grades with the parents. The high school expects us to. I hope to be out of the game before that one gets settled.
Friday, I told a class that I was worried about some of them because I was concerned that they might not make it.
A couple of kids remarked that I could get fired because I am not supposed to say that. Someone else said that their chemistry teacher says the same thing all the time.
Honestly, I did not name names or look at anyone, just tried to raise their level of concern as a group since they wanted to talk about the fight instead of listening to the lesson.
This group of juniors managed to drive several teachers away when they were in middle school. One of my friends ended up teaching a group of them when they were in 6th grade. She said she never wanted to see them again, not even when they became juniors. I don't know if she has encountered some of them. Probably so.
No escapee at Decorah see video link posted about hour ago.
Shirley Dad was reaching down for food and I think bobblehead was in a hurry to grab it so new little brother wouldn't get it and instead got ahold of near Dad's eye, he is really a little bobbly still too. Dad of course felt but didn't really see what was happening exactly. I bet it actually HURT. Anyway in an attempt to remove whatever landed near his eye he shook his head and yep little one had a tight grip, only it was on Dad not the food.
Enjoy your evening folks I have weather to keep an eye on here. Sorry I can't comment on NCTC nest happenings. I just really really don't want to go there BUT I am glad for all of you who are getting well through all of this to some degree.
I might get this comment removed actually but "wishing for the cam to work get fixed etc etc" has been going on for years. I don't know what the real problem is but its not a new one. I think the intentions have always been good cam wise but there is a missing piece here and its not going away. It needs to be found.
skies are darkening. Need to turn on weather so Dex and I have a clue how to spend our evening.
I am wondering if that mark is going to go away. We all thought in the beginning that it was feathers not yet turned white. He might not look the same if we wait that long. Maybe around Sept if he is still here - give him a name officially
Was reading back a bit and read some of your school stories, Shirley.
What a shame that parents don't teach their kids morals and manners anymore. The more this society pushes God out, the worse things get. That is my opinion!
I just got on this 'puter to see what kind of storm is brewing outside. We have very bright lightning and thunder, but no rain. I can't believe what the temp tomorrow is going to be...84°? Hope that is right...we need our garden to dry out!
LOL the thunder AND the kid or whatever upstairs that sounds like a bowling ball ... Often, too often ! Heard it when I got home this morning at 4:30! might have to make a visit pretty soon about that
going to be offloading some pictures be back later
Missing Susan, and thinking of her and Grey and Grey's mother...how things are going this week-end...maybe just some special family time together (( Hugs ♥ ))
I promised I would get you some "hard copies" of the dinner visit on your anniversary, Susan, I have not forgotten ! I also need to upload them for others to see...like Wanda has done
Turning over in my mind what I need to be doing tomorrow. I will be finishing up a Frankenstein movie with the seniors and getting ready for Shakespeare and Macbeth.
Juniors are working on posters on Edgar Allan Poe and getting ready for a test on Poe and his works.
Judie - I'm learning and enjoying most of this. I sure do get upset as you all do when there are scares or tragedies in the nest! Glad the eaglet in Decorah is ok!
Paula - Glad you're back safe!
Sharon - I know your vote for a name for Truder = JERK!!!
Sorry so many are having such bad weather. It's moving up to our area late tonight and tomorrow.
So, Hedgie, you are a Nascar fan, too ! I never like to see Harvick come out on top. Sorry Jr. didn't win today !
Wvgal_Dana, thank you for your consideration for newbies when thinking of the possibility of a poll for renaming Truder in the future. I'm sure we'd all like to think our vote will be important, too, if it comes to that. We aren't all new to eagle watching or even to watching Belle and Liberty, we just didn't find your fine group until recently.
Leona, I'm constantly in awe of your talent. You did a great job in outlining challenges you set for yourself ! I love the background you chose for the segment, too.
Thanks for the Decorah video links...I had to LOL when the eaglet landed outside the cup...didn't phase that chick one bit...and then Dad fed him over there! Oh and they were on CBS news, Huh.
Lynn, thanks for the link to Scott's pics....I hadn't found him on FB yet....
And thanks Scott for your link as well! They turned out great!
PALYNN, it is really neat to hear them chirp for food, isn't it? ☺☺☺
Good evening! Well, I am glad some of you are getting rain. Please send it my way.
Had a hard time getting the cam up but finally succeeded.
Glo, loved the video of Decorah. Thanks for sharing. I went outside while he was out of the egg cup. Decided I did not need that drama! I saw where Mom was really restless, but thought she was going to swipe him out of the nest when she turned her back to him.
It is hard enough to raise kids when you have hands to yank them back to where they belong; it has to be really tough when you don't have hands. Mom Decorah did okay. Just took a little while.
evening all....SO tired, just got home from babysitting. Storming here and all I want to do is get my much needed shower and get to bed, but Lynne don't play in plumbing during a storm so I'll have to wait a bit.
Daisy is hiding under the kitchen table, poor thing.
Just a preview of worse storms to come....looks like many of us will be in the line of fire throughout the day tomorrow, form the south, midwest and into the east late in the evening. SO keep your eyes to teh skies....
Small world, Stronghunter ! I moved to Columbus in 1966 and left in 1980, returning to AZ once the kids were grown. We first lived in an apt. community across from Graceland on North High Street, until purchasing a home in Upper Arlington. When my husband died in 2007 I returned to Columbus to be near the kids and in a familiar place. I now live in Clintonville, not far from that orignal location.
Has it been that long since we have heard from Andy? It has been so busy and confusing on here that I've had some problems keeping up.
I got amused with someone on the OC forum who said that he/she was watching when one of the eagles shook its head and with the cam issues it looked like a three-headed eagle. The person thought maybe there had been an alien invasion or something that had caused all of the issues. It was pretty silly, but caused me to chuckle.
Thanks Magpie ! I hope to be up and at em' with the early birds tomorrow. Can't promise I won't sleep in after the big weekend, however. I'm feeling mighty tired !
We lived in Williamsburg Square apartments when they were brand spanking new. I think things have changed a lot there since we left.
I taught in Pickerington. We moved to a house in New Albany right before our first child was born and left in 1980 so that my husband could take a job in the Washington, DC, area.
Wow..just watched Glo's video...of the baby being re-arranged around in the Decorah nest...awesome! Mom was sooooo gentle getting that baby back in underneath Thanks Glo !
Yes, Stonghunter, things have changed a lot since 80'. I visited frequently over those years because one daughter stayed here. So I watched the changes taking place--the growth and developement, until the last year or two have been amazing. New Albany is now THE place to be. It got a big boost last week with the news that Bob Evans is moving it's headquarters there. Columbus is reeling from that !
When we left there, there was talk about the changes that were to come, but it was a very small sleepy little town. We lived in the only subdivision there, and people considered us the fancy newcomers.
I have heard about the giant changes that have taken place since we left.
Yes, I'm right at the northern edge of Clintonville, just south of Worthington. I'm on the west side of High, a block from the Olentangy and in a wooded area. In spite of living that close in I see deer almost daily and we have racoons, possom and all sorts of little forest creatures running around, mostly at night. I've seen deer within about 100 feet of High Street and fear for their safety !
You aren't kidding, the prices have gone sky high. I could not afford to live in New Albany or UA today ! My daughter, Julie, lives in Clintonville too, just 3 miles south of me. I have everything I need within that few miles, shopping, library, church and Whetstone Park for good walking. I enjoy it far more than I ever enjoyed UA !
I feel that I did accomplish a little bit this afternoon. Cleaned up some messes George made upstairs. I don't know if he is marking his territory near the room Lucky is in or what, but it was not pleasant.
Yes, I have done some research. That place is full of multimillion dollar mansions.
I worked as a substitute teacher at the high school there. It was a tiny school then. It looks like a private school now. One fancy place for a public school. Really.
They hang around the area and occasionally stop by the nest. The eaglets do not leave immediately. We get to see them return to the nest throughout the summer, or at least for awhile.
Yeah, I've read that how long they take to fledge and that the parents still feed them for a while longer as they learn to hunt for themselves, but, I'm trying to figure out this behavior.
I know everyone else is. I was just wondering.....
I spent some time in the April album arranging pics in correct date/time sequence. Just a word about the titles placed on your pics. We don't need 2011-just
month/date/time 4/1 3:33pm
You can always get that info if they are from the Still Cam but you can't if from the Live Feed.
Keep the pics coming albums are great to look through especially with a slideshow view.
I probably shouldn't be on here, but.....will take a chance.....we are having the eeriest, weirdest, scariest electrical storm I have EVER seen....everything is a dead calm----no wind, no rain....but the lightening is wicked as can be, and the thunder is very strange. And it has been going on since I logged off. Big sky-wide light-ups with distant quiet thunder, and then evil streaks surrounding us that I swear are ground to cloud lightening...no noise at all.
bulk of the storm is over us Lynne, VERY ODD lightning. Thunder, rain. It's been one cell after another coming down from the north/northwest. and yeah the thunder sounds creepy. I'm on my battery now but it won't last.....Really just want to take my shower and go to bed!
Hedgie - over here on our side of the mountain the weather is the same as yours. We have had some rain but mostly lightning. With that said - I am hanging it up.
Good Night Friends Prayers for all Hugs for all ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
Kay, if Jr. can't win, I'm okay with Harvick... After all, he was the appointed replacement for my main man, The Intimidator! And thank goodness they both beat out bratty Kyle Busch!!! Our regulars already know, but I'll repeat for you....I'm retired from General Motors....Dale, Sr. came to our plant on 2 occasions for big celebrations...and I talked to him. Our division (Parts) was the Goodwrench sponsor. Losing him was a most traumatic experience.
Checvking in & probably checking out soon!!! Busy day, thwen din din, Panda nap, etc. Have been lurking off & on. Altho it was a busy day for Paula, what a wonderful place to do chores!!!Sounded just beautiful.Love hearing about Market Day & Margy got daffodils from Megan??!! Also read about Baby Escapee at Decorah!! & back home in bowl. Scott, beautiful eagle pics & were these close to home?? Not fb member, so couldn't leave comment there. Day off Mon., so you know what that means~~~Dr. appt., of course! Was hoping to see what happens w/3rd Decorah egg.Gotta see BWE & O more often. Those eagle chicks may be about size of those in nest at Park. We think they're close in time frame, but can't see them at Park.Have to watch out soon for emerging leaves blocking the nest, too! Need someone to come over w/glider & video cam!!! Wasn't on here a little earlier as we also had some blinding lightening, thunder, etc. Rain wasn't too long, & not cold out. I thought we were done for today!! DUH
no Linda, worked outside and inside and the babysat messy kids....I REALLY need a shower first and won't take one during this storm. OR any storm! Keeps looking on the radar like it's almost over, but outside the lightning just keeps getting worse.
Oh, I certainly don't blame you there. I don't like that lightening.
Was caught in a tornado when I was about 9 years old in LA and I'm not sure I've ever totally recovered. We lost the whole second story of our house while we were on the way down the stairs.

Full bellies...........they just passed out! Too cute........
Ordered pizza for tonight. I had lots of leftovers for myself from last night's dinner, but Will is here playing games with Hunter, so I figured everyone would like pizza and some chicken wings.
Yes it is!
I have noticed the one on the nest call out just before a nest exchange as if they are saying, "Break time!"
I see we just split.
Sounds great..........I'm on my way!! Love those chicken wings!
Don't know, Linda. Maybe she is telling Dad to get some more food.
Gotta do some chores here.
Did they finish off that rabbit?
I'm the last to know what they're doing. After all, I'm really new at this nest watching. But I sure enjoy watching and learning.
Okay, back to work for me, too.
Now that there is no danger in the nest, I can get back to work!!
Decorah nest coming up on CBS Evening news!!!! Hurry!!!
Saw the nest on the CBS thanks for the heads up I recorded on my dvr also
They said three days for the next hatch....don't think it will be that long! 2nd hatch was about 5:30 this morning....thought it was a bit later....
LOL....they act as if this is the only nest, pair, eggs, hatches anywhere!!!! Bet they would be surprised to know how many there are that have cams!!!
I got to see it thanks for the call to see the news. ( :
Need some strong hands......having trouble slicing the rest of this roast.........ouch!
I didn't realize it was so late..........It's dinner time and you're making me hungry Lynn!! Shirley, too! Guess I better get going on dinner myself!
LOL-----part of Chrissy's most recent email:
"Well it's been one Dickens of a day,,,,
The Laird wasn't as much of a gentleman as I'd remembered,, he didn't as much land in the nest as land onto Isla,, did the deed and flew off,, bit if a shock really at 7,50 am in the morning,,,
So far I think we have counted, at least 30 times already,, they can go to 160 before eggs are laid,,, PHEW !!!"
Sounds like they will be plum wore out before she even lays one egg, Lynn.
Mema Jo and Paula and everyone I think if whatever name is used for the intruder. If for the Season 2012 the intruder is the one Belle chooses to have eggs and eaglets. Decorah how did little one end up out there
alcola nest feeding time also at WVA nest so cute and the Decor nest

AMAZING capture. Thanks!
Good thing that the nest rails were there, or it could have been much worse, Glo. I guess the little guy was just trying to get food.
Headed back upstairs to finish cleaning up a mess there.
Good idea, WV Dana.
Thank you Shirley. I think it would be a happy and wonderful time for everyone that blogs ( :

Good eatin at the Decorah first he brought a black bird and now a fish
WVDana-I think that is a great idea. I wish we would see Belle return with Liberty, but if not Trudy needs a proper name.
Glo-Thanks for that link that was just too cute!
Don't know which one it is but the one eating at Decorah... Does anyone know what happened for it to have a feather out of place on its back.

I guess the parent figured if he/she was spending all of that money for the kid's education, they should not have to do anything else.
quite a choice rabbit, fish or black bird these birds won't go hungry
I just watched Glo's video and Daddy didn't do anything. #1 eaglet grabbed dad. Watch real close. He grabs and holds on.

EAGLE ON NEST
Turd bird in nest.
This group of juniors managed to drive several teachers away when they were in middle school. One of my friends ended up teaching a group of them when they were in 6th grade. She said she never wanted to see them again, not even when they became juniors. I don't know if she has encountered some of them. Probably so.

Dinner's ready.....
Then I'm watching the Academy of Country Music Awards on CBS tonight!!
Anyone else watching?
I'll check in with my laptop.
TTFN
We do need to study this guy so we cab remember him. We may be seeing a lot more of him. I guess we need to be more respectful.
here comes belle
2 in nest now
Another eagle. Belle?
Jerk and Belle in the near.
Two blobs in nest.....if you didn't KNOW they were eagles, you wouldn't even know they are birds most of the time.....blurry blobs.
It would be easier to study them if the pic were better. I hope the cam is fixed soon. I have still cam and live one both going.
No escapee at Decorah see video link posted about hour ago.
Shirley Dad was reaching down for food and I think bobblehead was in a hurry to grab it so new little brother wouldn't get it and instead got ahold of near Dad's eye, he is really a little bobbly still too. Live cam blue screen now.
poof gone turd
And poof one.
I think it's Belle still there.
Just fortunate little one didn't get thrown out of the nest.
I forgot to use bold oops
Looks like Belle.
Just think, Shirley, if the parents are paying $50,000+. Now that breeds entitlement.
Watched the Decorah video. Thanks so much Glo. Amazing. So happy the little one is safe.
Going to elevate ankle. Have therapy in the morning then going to the school house for a while.
BBL
Now Rudy is back.
turd back
And two again!
Yeah, Judie. Hand out the cash and all of the responsibility.
Have a good evening, Glo. Be safe. I think I saw something about severe weather out your way.
poof gone
Prayers, Glo. Keep safe.
Belle gone turd still
Gone Turd Bird
Rudy poofed too.
Got some good pics from 7:46 on....
Night light is on.
Jo Go to my comment on this thread at 6:35pm please.
Loved the video, Glo...commented on your FB page. Typical dad ineptness with a new babe....and tender mama making it all better!
Thundering here. If I see lightening or it sounds closer, will need to shut down...
Deleted and reposted. Too many typos
Enjoy your evening folks I have weather to keep an eye on here. Sorry I can't comment on NCTC nest happenings. I just really really don't want to go there BUT I am glad for all of you who are getting well through all of this to some degree.

Shutting down for now. BYE!
Maybe someone can answer this for me. On the hummingbirds. Do they only lay eggs once a year or do they do more.
Stay safe, Lynn.
Check out my 30 Day Photo Challenge on my blog.
My 30 Day Photo Challenge>
Good night eagle alcoholics
God Bless this nest and all whom watch it Peace Out!!
Some real challenges in there, Leona.
Night light works on the live cam but not on the still one?
Love the picture of your little girl.
Thanks stronghunter
Leona - Hummers - seem to lay eggs
constantly. Once she has her young ones fledge - she's making a new nest.
What a beautiful song by SugarLand on Acadamy of Country Music Awards. That girl has an amazing set of pipes!!
And Steven Tyler with Carrie Underwood - That was a rockin' good time!!
Dana I agree to a poll vote for the new male.
I am wondering if that mark is going to go away. We all thought in the
beginning that it was feathers not yet turned white. He might not look the same if we wait that long. Maybe around
Sept if he is still here - give him a name officially
Was reading back a bit and read some of your school stories, Shirley.

Leona. I think the hummers lay 4-5 clothes a year. Seems like we'd see them everywhere!
LOL
the thunder
AND
the kid or whatever upstairs that sounds like a bowling ball ...
Often, too often ! Heard it when I got home this morning at 4:30!
might have to make a visit pretty soon about that
to answer your question Judie
missed the nest visits, was doing a computer scan..
will look forward to your pictures Jo ☺
good to see the Sycamore Palace again on your avatar...nest looks awesome in person doesn't it !
going to be offloading some pictures
be back later
Missing Susan, and thinking of her and Grey and Grey's mother...how things are going this week-end...maybe just some special family time together (( Hugs ♥ ))
Well there you are Susan!
Sorry I missed you, I was blizting through posts !
Hello !!
I promised I would get you some "hard copies" of the dinner visit on your anniversary, Susan, I have not forgotten !
I also need to upload them for others to see...like Wanda has done
and Hello Wanda and everyone else
and so long Wanda and everyone else
be back before bedtime
xoxo
Storming here. Thunder boomers and lightning all around. Shutting down.
The night light is set for 11pm. Andy will set the security when she comes in.
Restful sleep for all.
Mema Jo so Phoebe won't use the same nest.
wax
Well, almost wax. I tried.
Good night, Judie.
Margy, hope you have a quiet night at home. Maybe you need to confiscate the bowling balls.
Linda, I teach English 11 and 12.
It sounds like hummingbirds should be everywhere, but then they are fragile little things.
Evening, all!
Home safe and sound! Must be storming at the nest...looks like lightening!
WOw that one was really bright...
sure hope they get the live feed fixed soon!
Turning over in my mind what I need to be doing tomorrow. I will be finishing up a Frankenstein movie with the seniors and getting ready for Shakespeare and Macbeth.
Juniors are working on posters on Edgar Allan Poe and getting ready for a test on Poe and his works.
Keeping my fingers crossed that lightning does not do damage to the camera.
I think we are supposed to be getting some rain soon if not already. It was in Culpeper the last time I checked.
Aha, see no rain yet per Wanda....
I ran into rain from Baltimore home...and could see lightening, but always in the distance....can hear thunder here now
I get to go on a field trip on Friday.
We go to Arundel Mills Shopping Center in Hanover, MD. I will spend the day traveling.
It is a trip to Medieval Times for some of the seniors. Have been on this trip several times now.
Interesting the way the lightning shows up on this cam.
I keep hearing something strange here. I think it must be a snoring dog, but I am not sure.
Not hearing any sound of thunder at the nest.

Shirley, I would have made a smart a** remark to that parent about the D+ grade, like you can check grades online, idiot!
I loved it when they started doing that with my kids....could keep on their butts about assignments!
Welcome Home Paula !
Can't wait to see YOUR Eagle pics
Hi Kay,
I noticed you are in Columbus. A couple of us have that connection.
I lived there from 1967-1980. Started out in the Reynoldsburg area, then moved to New Albany when it was a little country town.
Thanks Kay IM... Some of the challenge has been hard to come up with a picture. Took me forever to find tomorrows picture. :)
Paula, did you get some good pictures of the eagles and ospre?
Whoops. just saw that lightening at the nest.
Shirley
you write a book
won't have to worry about retirement income
it will be a best seller !
Judie mentioned Andy setting the security system...it has been several days since Andy paid us a visit ! Andy where are you?
I know what you mean, Paula.
She just wanted to put me down. I just want to make the kid behave. I got an idea of why he is the way he is.
wow that is pretty cool, the nest, the lightning...
Kay
Happy the week-end went nicely for you and the family
It is hard enough to raise kids when you have hands to yank them back to where they belong; it has to be really tough when you don't have hands. Mom Decorah did okay. Just took a little while.
Lynn
Thanks for revised Cheat Sheet...lots of work,
appreciate that !
Yes, Paula, it was so neat to hear the baby eaglets chirping for their food!!
I'm realing loving this!
evening all....SO tired, just got home from babysitting.
WVsUSAn You did it - You get the
blooper prize today...........
hummers lay 4-5 clothes a year
Gotta get me some around here.....
Love Ya Gal
My picture at Decorah is frozen right now. I see one on the nest and dark feathers in the left bottom corner.
We lived in Williamsburg Square apartments when they were brand spanking new. I think things have changed a lot there since we left.
I taught in Pickerington. We moved to a house in New Albany right before our first child was born and left in 1980 so that my husband could take a job in the Washington, DC, area.
Wait, it isn't frozen. I just saw the feathers on the Mom moving.
What are those feathers? Are they from the black bird I heard was broght into the nest this evening?
Wow..just watched Glo's video...of the baby being re-arranged around in the Decorah nest...awesome!
Mom was sooooo gentle getting that baby back in underneath
Thanks Glo !
JO that is hilarious!
Nuttin' wrong with your eyes...it went right over our heads!
Susan's comment...
LOL of the day !!
You are right in town, Kay. I spent most of my time on the east side of town--Westerville, New Albany, Reynoldsburg, Pickerington.
just roll back to 8:55 pm post from Susan and have yourselves a laugh !
Megan said they would and she was right!
My daffodils...all opened up and fanned out in the vase like a ring of yellow butterflies !
When we left there, there was talk about the changes that were to come, but it was a very small sleepy little town. We lived in the only subdivision there, and people considered us the fancy newcomers.
I have heard about the giant changes that have taken place since we left.
When we lived there, Upper Arlington was the place to be.
Too bad we didn't hold onto that house in New Albany. I must have multiplied many times in value.
Newcomers beware! Typos on here can get you int all kinds of difficulty. You will not be allowed to forget. They become part of our history.
How nice, Kay, but, yes, I would worry about deer that close to High Street.
Yup, trying to do some beach pics...
Can't wait to see your pictures. Paula.
Amen to that! LOL Now I have typed some weird things, mostly typos, but Susan's head was somewhere else! LOL
I feel that I did accomplish a little bit this afternoon. Cleaned up some messes George made upstairs. I don't know if he is marking his territory near the room Lucky is in or what, but it was not pleasant.
This newbie done had her typo moment. :)
Wow! Can not believe how the nest is lighting up with that storm!
So, I'm wondering......how long do you think this nest activity with Belle and Truder will continue?
Yes, I have done some research. That place is full of multimillion dollar mansions.
I worked as a substitute teacher at the high school there. It was a tiny school then. It looks like a private school now. One fancy place for a public school. Really.
Linda, I don't know. I do not expect anyone knows.
Some on here have seen other intruder incidents, though.
People on here are usually watching little ones being tended to at this time of the year.
That is what we like to see.

Don't they usually leave the nest once they're done breeding and their eaglets have fledged?
Sorry about the stutter.
They hang around the area and occasionally stop by the nest. The eaglets do not leave immediately. We get to see them return to the nest throughout the summer, or at least for awhile.
The youngsters will come back and have tantrums until the parents deliver fish. The parents help them learn to fish.
Yeah, I've read that how long they take to fledge and that the parents still feed them for a while longer as they learn to hunt for themselves, but, I'm trying to figure out this behavior.
I know everyone else is. I was just wondering.....
Linda, I think trying to make that prediction is about like most of us trying to predict the weather. No way to out guess Mother Nature !
Well, I'm calling it a day in hopes I can join Lori, DanaMo, Magpie and other early birds for that first visit of the day.
Have a good night everybody !
I bet those tantrums are interesting..
I guess the nest islike their dinner table and expect after they fledge, foowilod should still be there when they return to eat!!
Good Night KayIM!! Sleep well!
I spent some time in the April album arranging pics in correct date/time sequence.
Just a word about the titles placed on your pics. We don't need 2011-just
month/date/time
4/1 3:33pm
Be careful, Lynn!!
Palmer Returns!
This is how a teenaged eagle behaves when it wants something from its parent.
Yes, do be careful, Lynn.
bulk of the storm is over us Lynne, VERY ODD lightning. Thunder, rain. It's been one cell after another coming down from the north/northwest. and yeah the thunder sounds creepy. I'm on my battery now but it won't last.....Really just want to take my shower and go to bed!
looks like the nest stronger cell is at us now....and it appears to be the last one....I hope.
Gotcha Jo!
Thanks so much for all your work on the albums
Lynn - does indeed sound very eerie out your way, guess I should check the skies here
Hedgie - over here on our side of the
mountain the weather is the same as yours. We have had some rain but mostly lightning.
With that said - I am hanging it up.
Good Night Friends
Prayers for all
Hugs for all ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

I'll go my best to be part of the BRAT PACK in the morning, before worktime

They have to learn to fight for their food.
and you night owls, watch out for the 400 SPLIT - not too far away from now
I really must stop and go to sleep. Five thirty will come very soon.
Good night and God bless.
Look out for those storms.
Kay, if Jr. can't win, I'm okay with Harvick...
Thanks for the video Shirley. Just like a kid whinning for dinner, right?
Margy, Jo, Lynne2 and those in the storms. Stay safe, God Bless and Good Night♥♥♥
DUH
Me too.......Althought I don't have to get at that awful hour!!
Sleep well and God Bless Eagle Pals!!
Prayers for all,
Linda ♥♥♥
love the coltsfoot Margy!
soooo much lightning here....UGH. Poor Daisy.
Good night to those turning in. Wish I was!
Geeeze, I sure can't type tonight!! I guess I should look before I post!
Stay safe, sleep well and God Bless one and all!
Lynne2.....thought you were turning in....
How are those knees doing?
no Linda, worked outside and inside and the babysat messy kids....I REALLY need a shower first and won't take one during this storm. OR any storm! Keeps looking on the radar like it's almost over, but outside the lightning just keeps getting worse.
Knees feel pretty good today! And hopefully even better tomorrow!
OK, got the bird pictures up....
working on the house pictures next...
http://paulasprints.blogspot.com/
Oh, there's a link under the pics too if you want to see them larger.
Was there an eagle in the nest tonight?
Oh, I certainly don't blame you there. I don't like that lightening.
Was caught in a tornado when I was about 9 years old in LA and I'm not sure I've ever totally recovered. We lost the whole second story of our house while we were on the way down the stairs.
Four young kids home alone, too!
