I am off the the store, the squirrels broke one of my bird feeders. It was just a cheap plastic ones, I think the cold and the squirrels snapped it.
Dave, we had that cold yesterday, today we are already up to 32. Hope it goes away for you quickly.

RED...if you are one here, I need some advice (again). The counter spy is still running, but nothing is changing. The numbers are staying the same and nothing new has happened. At this point, nothing but chocolate chip cookies are flying through the top of the screen. Should I turn it off, or let it keep running? It has been about 3 or more hours.
Hi Miss Norma...I am having 'puter problems, so I must tend to that. If it doesn't stop scanning soon, I will be eating crab legs while it is still going and going and going :)
Wanda, It sounds like it is hung. Should not take more than one hour to run the first time. I would stop it and try again.

The Norfolk eagle (08-0887) will undergo another dremeling in two to three weeks to further correct the curvature in the beak. During our daily rounds yesterday, we decided to move a Red-shouldered Hawk from our large flight pen to a smaller one. This move had a snowball effect on other patients; the Norfolk eagle is now back in the medium-sized flight pen he was in one month ago.
The bird continues to eat with great enthusiasm from the rat, mice, and fish delicacies we provide. His weight currently stands at 3.6 kg (7.9lbs) and he continues to stay in good health.
Was...an eagle.

Norfolk News!!
The Va. Dept. of Game and Inland Fisheries has given the OK to relocate the cam and IR light to the original nest on Wednesday Dec. 10 (no rain please!) A few problems to work out before we go live on WVEC but getting there.
Our volunteer tree climbing experts Tim Nuckols from Nuckols Tree Care and Chad from ODU are volunteering their time for the big move. Joe Flanagan from WVEC plans do do a TV spot again about the relocation. I hope some eagle papparizzi can make it. Duane said he will be there. Shelly???
The time is tentatively set for 10:00 but may change for Joe Flanagan's schedule and it will take a while for the three climbs. Reese Lukei and Steve Living (DGIF) will be there.
The eagles were around for a short while this morning working on the nest.
You gotta take a look at the two Panda sites.
It's Mom and son cuddling and sleeping at Atlanta.
And I think it's Bai Yun sleeping on the ground at SD; and while she's trying to do that, flies are bothering her ears.
I've never seen a Panda move its ears before, but she's waving them around like semaphore flags!

RED...I'm back and (whispering)..shh..I think counterspy did the trick. I have to get ready to take my Mom for Crab Legs, so I can't test my new, cleaned out 'puter right now. I'll try it out tonight. Thank You, Thank You!!!! Shhhhh. (don't want to jinx it) :)
Awww the puppy tribute was sweet indeed. Its the hard part time as those cute and cuddlies all adjust to a new life and us to life without them. I am glad they kept one and hope some of the other owners will say yes to the web cam offers.

After shutting down my browser for the umpteenth time today, I uninstalled Adobe Flash player and reinstalled it. I sure hope it helps. Our cam kept freezing and the only way I could get it started again was to start over. It seems to be working and the picture is clearer.

I had 9, now I have 10, Paula.
The Sharp-shinned hawk just made another attempt at food. This time he left empty taloned. I was watching the birds and, poof, all gone. I finally found the hawk in the pine tree, then it swooped after a bird and missed, perched for a minute on the lamp post and left.
Must have been a shadow Dana. Moon is not even close to full.
Well, I am sure sorry to have missed all the Eagle fun at OUR Nest today, but look forward to what some of you have saved.

Has anyone got good South skies for Our Celestial Trio? Is it not amazing how the positions have changed this week. Moon is no surprise, but the two planets, so cool.

I would not think email would slow it down unless you have limited disk space. Do you know how much disk space you have remaining?

Margy, You might want to try Counterspy too. The free download is the full blown version they just limit the days you can use it without buying it. I think the full price is $19.95 for the first year and then its even cheaper. And PC magazine says it's the best one on the market.

Also Microsoft Internet Explorer version 7 had problems. If anyone is using it I would go back to version 6.

The Capt. was sitting right here with us watching our Royal Pair.
He doesn't very often get to do that.
I saw two different kinds of boats at Finney's this morning, and a great little bird that looked like a Evening Grosbeak.
And THAT was a Blackpowder rifle at NCTC !!!
So I don't think I would be near that nest if I was an Eagle.
The Captain might find it interesting to hear some of that, Wanda...

Every time I see those two in the nest...I want to get in the car and drive down there and see them FOR REAL! It is just a magnificient experience to see them, there really live.
She's been gone for 18 months. Her son cannot wait to see her...
