GOOD MORNING EAGLE BUDDIES!!---As STEVEN SAYS!!!----"SPRING FORWARD"----It's a SUNNY BRISK MORNING---here in WV---"HOME OF BELLE & LIBERTY!!!---temp 25°---expecting to reach 40s----LIVE FEED!!!-----A GLORIOUS DAY TO ENJOY LIFE!!!!
Good Morning, everyone! Loving this sunshine this morning, and hope to get outside for a bit today. I'm sooooo ready for Spring, and I'm sure Belle and Lady BWE are, also. Well, off to read the blog from last night. bbl
Good Day everyone, I see that Belle made it through all the wind and rain yesterday. the flamingo cam at the national zoo has a bright sun bouncing off the pond. what a nice day.
GOOD SUNDAY A.M. EVERYONE East Coast time is 9:07a.m., that ia if you SPRUNG FoRWARD LAST NIGHT......I agree with AJ's solution, uninstall the Real Player and reinstall it again....that usually is my solution to everything
Good morning eagle watchers! Nice to see it's sunny, after that wind and rain yesterday.
I'm racing against the clock here trying to get my trashed, bruised and devastated house in shape for my ds's visit in a few hours... I had a house full of company yesterday and most of them were kids. Where's my house elf when I need him? KREACHER! LOL!
MORNIN' HELEN!!---I guess we must fly down & help GEULA clean her house!!!---That 'LAZY-BUT CUTE' DONKEY she hangs out with isn't going to help her!!!!
Sunny, It's in WV just up the river fron the NCTC site. If you Google it they have great directions and maps to get you there. They have 3 great trails, one takes you down to the river with benches to rest along the way.
Thanks, donnie. How could I not know about this??? When I go to NCTC, I see signs for 'wildlife viewing'. Is that where it is? I think I would head there today, but it's probably a little muddy.
GOOD EAGLE WATCHING MORNING TO NORMA, MEGAN, SUNNY, DONNIE, MITS,GUELA, AND EVERYONE ELSE WHO WILL BE ON TODAY. As you all said, it is a bright and beautiful sunny day here today. Glad to see our nest is still in one piece after that wind. Just looked in at the right time to see the switch, but not the eggs. Maybe today will be the day!
Donnie which trail leads to where benches are along the way? We have been there last year. It was too late to take the trail. Also didn't know there where benches. Oxygen he needs to rest.
GOODMORNING TO YOU TOO DANA. I missed you on here. Glad to see you. NORMA, I am also seeing how often our eagles take care of their nest. It is sooooooo good to be able to watch live this year. THANK YOU STEVEN AND YOUR COHORTS!!!!! THIS IS GREAT!!!!
Church first NORMA, then whatever. I didn't mind the bad weather; only concerned for our nest. Whem I am down at the beach, I can't really tell what the weather is up here, only by listening to you all. I felt it this weekend and hoped for the best for our nest.
I always take the Kingfisher trail. They have three (I think) bencheson that trail. The dan Fisher trail and the south trail seen to be a bit long for me to manage. I have trouble walking and can also use oxygen along the way. I just take it slow and make many "nature stops" along the way. the best bench is down by the river. It's up on the hill and you have a great view right now without the leaves on the trees.
MEGAN---That is what is written every time about the CA OWLS!!---But when you read the TX OWLS--(who have 8 eggs)--they say the owls continue copulating through the incubation & rearing of the eaglets!!---- GO FIGURE!
MORNIN' DANA---I haven't read yesterdays blog yet!!!---Every time I watch the DONKEYS---(i wish they could have LIVE FEED)---Now I think I am getting greedy!! ho!
Thanks Donnie hubby and I will have to try it when weather is alittle warmer. Then it depends on how bad the trail is. I don't do well (back problems) with walking on uneven areas like ie: grassy areas, stones, etc. How long does it take you to walk that trail? Since you go slow.
Hello, was taking a shower, going up to see the grandbabies in a little while, hubby has not seen them in about 4 weeks....D-I-L has gone part time now and will only be working for 2 days a week, she has a nanny for those days, but any time she needs someone to watch the girls, the family will take over for her, which is why my sisters and I will be there on Thursday...:):):)!
Dana, It take me about 1 1/2 hour to make the Kingfisher trail. You can take longer. There are a few spots that have a slight incline. a few spots that have some rock. You can see where they have taken hammers to break up the rock and make it flat, so you don't trip. I know it's got to be muddy back there now.
Helen, We pulled it off even tho it was at Cameron Stadium, Duke's home court. We were ahead for most of the game, but Duke pulled it up and then it was neck and neck. So now we finished number 1 in our ACC division. It has been a long time cooming. We about lost a whole team a couple of years or so ago when they left for the NBA early. Hey, any team can be beaten on any given day. There is no guarantees. We will probably play them in our ACC tournament and they could beat the pants off us. The rivalry is very strong between these two teams.
HELEN, it was nice of the DUKIES to take time out in memory of the UNC Student Government's President that was killed the other day. Her death was a shocker for all, I guess. Hopefully her killer will be found.
I'm with you DANA. MITS will be thrilled to be able to spend time with the girls, and so she should be. Can't wait to hear all about their adventures. :)
THANKS HELEN!!---I don't know how I missed CONGRATULATING CANDY!!!--WOW!!--WHAT A WIN!!---What time was it over???---OH MY---You will be smiling for a YEAR!!---ho!--
THANKS O'WISE HELEN!!---I have been checking that site off & on!---Saw an adult FALCON there last week!!----I so ENJOY that site!!---Does get MESSY LOOKING sometimes!! ho!
My body is still saying Good Morning even thought my clock is saying Lunch! Full House again - I love it even though it takes awhile to read it all! It may be cold but that sun is just beautiful!
Good Morning . I havent read yet so I hope all is well. Just crawled out of bed. The dew is still on the ground but the sun will soon take care of that.
I am going to go and get dress. Heidi wants breakfast. She needs to go to the groomer. She looks like a rag-a-muffen. Poor baby. We had problems with the mail man again yesterday. boy she sure hates him. Everyone else is ok but not him!
I am going to have to have one of the boys come over here tody. I am so frustrated with this computer I could scream. Now it wont let me send photos. rats!
Hello all! Looks like BWE babies have a blanket now! I hope we get a chick for my Bday present on Monday! Tee Hee Tried to upload pics for osprey story, but Google is doing them out of order again. Will try later. Real is still UNreal. Maybe will reinstall later. DUH!
I have only been checking out our eagle today so far Dana. I love our live feed! It's windy up in the nest. Have you checked out CC1 - Are both eaglets in that nest now???
Paula, Saw your PRP pics--great stuff! I've known Greg for 20+ years. At the osprey cam nest last summer, the mother disappeared one night, probably due to a predator. When Greg checked the nest later, the 2 chicks had perished due to exposure. He made a leanto cover over 1/2 the nest, placed an extra foster chick there, and male bird fed it until it fledged. The male does not normally cover/protect the chicks, but brings food and perches nearby. This is probably the returning male in my pics if I ever get them on!
Nature - Greg told us that story...we call that the Tiki hut nest! I tried to view it after that, but couldn't ever get it to come up on the page...I hope that works better this year!
Does anyone know the rules on how to play Shanghi card game. We know you use 11 cards to start. Aces Jokers and Duces count 20 pts. we think Jokes do? King to 8 count 10 pts 7 to 3 counts 5 pts.
We think you can only buy 3 during each game.
We know you use 2 decks. Not sure we think there are 10 different runs not sure how they go?
Help would be appreciated? Yes looked online didn't find this way of playing. Many ways of playing Shanghi. Hope someone can help ( :
Good afternoon! It's a beautiful day here in So. Cali! It's 74 degrees today at 12:10 pm.
Donnie..looked at your pics..they are beautiful! And your dog, Molly, is adorable!
Paula...your pics are awesome! How lucky you are to be able to do that kind of stuff! Was talking about the ospreys at breakfast this morning and my bro-in-law said he saw a couple the other day on his way to work...they were at Miramar Naval Station! What a nut! He was talking about jets! I wanted to slap him LOL!
Jo...are those blue words in your post (Egg check, wiggle wiggle, etc) supposed to link to pics? Cause they aren't linking for me.
The beautiful eagles #10 and #26 have survived the winds AT PH on the Channel Islands. Since they have audio, also, I had to turn down the volume as it got LOUD! LOL! Thought the nest was going to become "Rockabye Baby..on the tree top..when the wind blows the eagles nest will rock"!! YIKES! But all is well today :-)
I got up earlier, took care of some business off and on-line... got the live feed open, read the comments from late Saturday in the blog...
Never made it over here before I decided I needed a little more sleep ... probably compensating for the kids partying out by the pool at least till 3 a.m.
And here I am now. Just looked outside, and it's becoming a beautiful, sunny So Cal day.
...Oh yeah, I got most of my clocks and watches reset. Still have a couple of battery driven wall clocks to do. Probably isn't morning anymore, even here.
NBG nest looks so lonely :->( Guess no one's ready to lay eggs again. Finally got my Osprey Story posted here. Had to attach pics "in reverse order" and add text later! DUH again-Clogged Blogger. Enjoy! Gotta get off 'puter for awhile--
Hi, Karen, are you the one whose sister lives in Huntington Beach??
I grew up in the outskirts of Del Mar and my sister still lives a few miles south of you.
Used to know Oceanside very well, and it was a little on the plain side and small. But now O.C. and Carlsbad both have grown and been beautified to such a degree (the towns from Leucadia to Del Mar along the coast too) it's like a short vacation to the Riviera just driving through them. :~D
My College Kid is on a bus to Albany, NY today to watch his college team, the Rider Broncs, compete in the MAC tournament. They are in the semi finals also. They took 2 busses of kids up today. They are playing Marist at 8pm tonight. Hopefully I can watch the game on MASN tonight!
Dana - Dianna - #69 has not been seen on the nest very much. There is speculation that the 3-some may be going their separate ways, ie, Maybe Dianna has found another eagle!
Heidi...they didn't have any black cherry so you are safe LOL!
Jim..yes, things have really changed here. They are trying to get rid of the poor image they used to have with all the "ladies" on the streets LOL! Have really cleaned things up! No, my sis lives close by in Vista. I grew up going to the beach in Huntington Beach with my cousins who lived up that way in La Mirada, tho.
Well, I have returned from my weekend in Bedford. I am grateful I haven't missed a hatching. My sister watched all weekend and reported to me when I talked to her. Anyway, it is good to be back home. HELLO EVERYBODY!
Actually, Wray is the dominant female at the WE nest...I really hope it would continue, though. I love to see their interaction...but if she has perhaps found another male, that is good too!!
My son just called from Albany - he is watching the game before his. Loyola (Baltimore) is winning against Siena but the game has just gotten really close

How are you all, did we get a hatch yet??

Karen you have mail
Hi, Karen, are you the one whose sister lives in Huntington Beach??
I grew up in the outskirts of Del Mar and my sister still lives a few miles south of you.
Used to know Oceanside very well, and it was a little on the plain side and small. But now O.C. and Carlsbad both have grown and been beautified to such a degree (the towns from Leucadia to Del Mar along the coast too) it's like a short vacation to the Riviera just driving through them. :~D

Mt St Mary's is crushing Robert Morris! They are going to go to the NEC finals!!
If they win the NEC finals, they will probably get a bid to the NCAA tournament!!!
83-55 Mounts crushes the #1 SEED!!!!
My internet is working really crappy today! Restarted computer and everything! UGH!
But my NCTC feed is working great!! :):)
Eagle very loudly just flew into Maine nest and calling
BWE is feeding chicks again.
[:~)]
Jim
Oh, thanks Dana, every time I pull the Maine cam up the nest is MT.
Paula, what do you think is happening at WE between the two females and #01??
[:~)]
Jim
Eagle still at Maine site on a branch and still calling
Why Jimwhat is going on there?
Megan do you have Maine up now?
Paula, my internet has been crappy for 2 days. Now half my cable channels are out. ARGHHHH
Don't know Jim.
Dana - Dianna - #69 has not been seen on the nest very much. There is speculation that the 3-some may be going their separate ways, ie, Maybe Dianna has found another eagle!
Incoming just landed our nest!
Both eagles our nest. yes, Dana
Belle has returned, Lib just backed up out of the bowl and took off to the right!
Eagle just flew away at Me site.
I couldn't see any eggs on that switch, Belle was blocking the view!!
I need 2 computers! One to keep the cams up all the time and one to be able to post here without missing anything! LOL!
I know, she's so big, when she comes towards them from behind, you can't see the eggs at all. I'm sitting here trying to peak around her-
Well how interesting Paula...I hope she has been spotted and is ok....that would be neat if she had her very own fellow...then chicks awwww
Could "Love Be In The Air" from love boat lol
Earlier in the season, I "thought" I detected Dianna trying to act like she is dominant, AND she seemed to try to bully #01 and push him off the nest.
Perhaps, Wray had to re-stabilize the situation ... remember when Dianna would try to land, but Wray would take out after her and drive her off?
There ARE more eagles available now, even for an older babe like Dianna, so maybe that is what's happening.

Feeding at Tesoro
Has anyone found a way to adjust the Real Player so the live feed show better detail or color??
[:~)]
Jim
Well, I have returned from my weekend in Bedford. I am grateful I haven't missed a hatching. My sister watched all weekend and reported to me when I talked to her. Anyway, it is good to be back home. HELLO EVERYBODY!
Jim, I think this is the only color we have for right now.
Welcome home Eagle eye! Hello Jim:)
Eagle in nest at NBG and squirrel moving around underneath
Babies at Tesoro are almost as big as the parent! LOL!
Actually, Wray is the dominant female at the WE nest...I really hope it would continue, though. I love to see their interaction...but if she has perhaps found another male, that is good too!!
Well, it's 77° and sunny out, and I look like a cloistered mushroom...think I'd better get outside amongst the rays for a while.
Talk to you all later. [:~)]
Jim
Babies at Tesoro are "fixing" the nest LOL! Moving a stick around.
Welcome back Sharon....How is Thelma?
Thelma is doing good. She is loving her new job, loving her new house, new town. It is so peaceful and quiet there.
My son just called from Albany - he is watching the game before his. Loyola (Baltimore) is winning against Siena but the game has just gotten really close
