Good rainy morning to you Jo. I'll try to call up some warmer air from the Outer Banks to ward off that snow/sleet. Maybe Iris could send us up from Florida> We just have tokeep those eggs warm. It didn't say not to much accumulation, so that sounds good.
Thanks for the reminder NORMA. I had forgotten it for the moment. I'l; be trying to keep my eyes open tonight for the 9pm basketball game the Tar Heels have against our big rivals Duke tonight. Thank goodness Josh's church service starts around 11am tomorrow, wo we can sleep in a little in the am :)

Wasn't that the coolest? I was watching last night when that happened. So cool when you can see their every move. It was like she tiptoed away from the eggs for a minute to grab a bite to eat. And that fish didn't last long!
Well it looks like we are getting ready to head out here, so guess I had better get myself moving. It would be nice to check back in later and see that Guela had a chick presented to her for her birthday. Keep your eyes peeled and have a good day. BBL
Tried to write myself an email to post pictures, but after trying to insert 1st pic, did not see it on window. In fact writing window was totally covered. Duh?! Will try later. Gotta do some chores sometime :-)
I will be posting links for NCTC videos there as often as I possibly can, hopefully every day.
If you would like to join the Eaglet_Momsters Yahoo Group, just send an email to pccompton@yahoo.com, or click on the link below to go to the group site, and ask for an invitation. It's that simple! Everyone is welcome to join, there is plenty of room in the nest!
Has anyone been watching the CC1 cam, either late last nite or early this morning? There is only one chick in the nest..and some people are worried that one could have been blown out in the high winds, and not have fledged...
Good morning :-) Just had the changing of the guard at PH. So cool to watch them! BWE sure got a lot of rain! Poor eagles sure working overtime to keep those babies dry!
Yesterday I heard sea lions on the cam at PH! LOL!
Now A line of showers extending from western Maryland southeast to Greene County will move quickly east about 40 mph and is expected to reach a Frederick Maryland and Orange Virginia line by 3 PM. A brief thunderstorm is also possible with the strongest showers. Winds are expected to gusts over 45 mph behind this line.
Gotten really dark here, and the wind is picking up,radar shows it'll be raining in Shepherdstwon sson, a heavy band of showers at first, then lighter rain. It's 46°now,so at least it's not snow.
Yeah, well I was gonna holler out the window that Jim said the live feed was up, but I didn't know if you'd hear me. I did send an eamil thru momsters to try to let others know.
VERY windy at PH!! Tree was a-rockin bad! And sounds like thunder...either that or heavy surf. I can't watch Norfolk because it sways way too much and I get motion sick LOL!
Ok, very strong line of showers just passed by the nest. Looks like that's it for now. Sky tightening back up. Still windy, and it's going to be that way for a while, last gust was 22 mph.

A VERY HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO OUR FRIEND FROM ACROSS THE SEAS, GEULA!! [:~D]
Jim
Norma, small birds and squirrels often use the lower deck in large nests for their own nests.
I see what you're talking about at Norfolk, but everything is blowing wildly at the moment... I think one of them looks like the skinny squirrel.
[:~)]
Jim
Hi Norma, it's not sunny, but it is bright out! Just 66 degrees which the natives consider chilly!
My friend says it is 45 degrees in PA. That's not too bad for March.
Hope the Live Cam gets back up!

lol, loved the Midnight Snack video, Paula....
Loved your video too GLO. It brought tears of joy to my eyes, being able to see our wonderful bird in action. Just beautiful.
Did I read that Jim's hummer out there is starting another nest already? Boy they sure don't waste any time if that is correct.
Wasn't that the coolest? I was watching last night when that happened. So cool when you can see their every move. It was like she tiptoed away from the eggs for a minute to grab a bite to eat. And that fish didn't last long!
glad to see she is eating.....
To me, these videos are like poetry in motion. Beautiful, beautiful!

Has anyone else had troubles with the blog??
Earlier I refreshed it, and it just sat there and spun it's reload wheels...tried some tricks, didn't help.
Finally, I took a short nap...
Woke up and the blog is working fine!!?? ...and so am I.
[:~)]
Jim
maybe Goggle did not pay its bills.
Yes, Stella, I just tried to open the live feed, and it looked like it would work, but in the end it couldn't locate the necessary files.....
No live feed right now.
[:~)]
Jim
It looks like the Norfolk cam is down too, but at least there was a pic of the female working in the nest ... then I refreshed.
[:~)]
Jim
Sun is finally out here too...hoping the rest of that rain misses us...

Tried live feed again..
Works now.

Jim
Well, thank you very much jim live feed is up for me:)
Gotten really dark here, and the wind is picking up,radar shows it'll be raining in Shepherdstwon sson, a heavy band of showers at first, then lighter rain. It's 46°now,so at least it's not snow.
THANKS TO WHOEVER GOT THE LIVE-FEED UP AND RUNNING:0
I was looking at Maine earlier, and everything looked fine...beautiful nest, no snow, blue-ish sky, but there are no eagles in sight, or site.
Then I cranked the sound up. Sounds like heavy rain to me. Could explain no eagles in the nest.
[:~)]
Jim
Pic stuck on egg turning our nest
Nice view of all 3 eggs, tucking them up underneath body and getting comfy...
OUR EAGLE WAS JUST UP AND FLUFFING AROUND THE EGG CUP, MUST KNOW SHOWERS ARE ON THE WAY

Raining hard now, wind is starting to blow. Gust of about 21 mph in shepherdstown
Has anyone "upgraded video controls" in their Real Player, and if so, what do you get and how does it work??
[:~)]
Jim
Gee, maybe I am not happy the Live feed came up just now??? It is really windy there. Never saw so much SWAY at NCTC!!! Hang in the Lib and Belle!
Jim,
Thank you, thank you, thank you. You are wonderful. Finally get to see mama and eggs. Thanks again.
she is really hunkered down over those eggs. It's really pouring here now.
Not here, Jim...but I've been thinking about it...
Wow- major thunder and lightning here now.
VERY windy at PH!! Tree was a-rockin bad! And sounds like thunder...either that or heavy surf. I can't watch Norfolk because it sways way too much and I get motion sick LOL!
Thundering here now also...gonna go take a peek outside
Not too windy yet... Remember when Spunky had to hang on for dear life to keep from getting blown out of the nest in the night??
[:~)]
Jim
She's just about out of the heavy rain, thundering loudly, dog is freaking out here. Wind gusting from 15 to 26 mph.
Oh yeah, it's here now. Lightening, thunder, winds, sheets of rain!
Jim, we were all just rewatching that video the other day...
Ok, very strong line of showers just passed by the nest. Looks like that's it for now. Sky tightening back up. Still windy, and it's going to be that way for a while, last gust was 22 mph.
Eagle hanging on at BWO
Well, I've got to take care of business here.
Have fun, talk to you later.
[:~)]
Jim
eagle gone at BWO
Wow, it was 46° right before that line of storms came thru, now it's 36°.
Eagles head is up and looking around...maybe the worst has past!
I think Belle wants lib to come take that stick off her so she doesn't have to get up.
Still 57° here
COME ON OVER
NEW THREAD FROM STEVE
Yea, she was just picking at it...sort of like a Y branch...but thin at least
