Rest i Peace dear JO we will miss you this is my favorite poem
A Letter From Heaven - Ruth Ann Mahaffey To my dearest family, some things Id like to say. But first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay. I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above. Here, theres no more tears of sadness; Here is just eternal love.
Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight. Remember that I am with you every morning, noon and night. That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through. God picked me up and hugged me and He said, I welcome you. Its good to have you back again, you were missed while you were gone. As for your dearest family, They'll be here later on.
I need you here so badly, you are part of my plan. There is so much that we can do, to help our mortal man. God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do. And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you. And when you lie in bed at night the days chores put to flight. God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.
When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years. Because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears. But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain. Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain. I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned. If I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is over. I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before. There are rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb; But together we can do it by taking one day at a time. It was always my philosophy and Id like it for you too; That as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.
If you can help somebody who is in sorrow and pain; Then you can say to God at night....My day was not in vain. And now I am contented... that my life was worthwhile. Knowing as I passed along the way I made somebody smile. So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low; Just lend a hand to pick them up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street and you've got me on your mind; I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind. And when its time for you to go...from that body to be free. Remember you're not going...you're coming here to me.
((((Momsters))))) The fight is over and the celebration has begun for those who have gone before. Peace love and prayers for those left behind who will miss her so very much. God Bless you all.
Thanks Steve for a new thread and thanks Judy for the call over.
Today is such a sad day. While I am glad that Jo is no longer suffering, my thoughts now are for Ed and the entire Lennox family as they struggle to accept a world without Jo in it.
I haven't been on this blog in ages, but I so felt the need to be here. God, it is so hard to believe our precious Mema Jo is gone. I love us and I am so grateful for the friendships I have made here. I came for the eagles but I stayed for the friendships I have made. :(
MeMa Jo loved this Blog and all of the Bloggers. She would want us all here together remembering and loving this special place in all of our hearts: in honor of her. This is home.
Oh my. I haven't checked in over here in awhile, and the news about our friend Jo is devastating. I'm honored to say I had the pleasure of meeting her in person a couple of times. Her spirit is soaring with the eagles now.
I too am here. My heart goes out to the Lennox family. My heart hurts yet is comforted knowing she is not longer hurting and that she was received by many loving arms.
My new avatar is one that reminds me of Jo. As Lydia posted on the private FB group, whenever I see cardinals, they remind me of Jo because they were favorites at her feeders. The pair in my avatar were on my back deck this past winter. I took photos of them and posted them on Jo's Facebook.
I got this message a little while ago regarding Jo's funeral/memorial service: "Funeral is on the 30th. I know they're having it later because they're hoping some of her eagle friends can come and they're pretty spread out. The arrangements themselves had all been made in advance, it was just picking the day and time. I'll let you know when I hear more. I know it will be a Catholic mass and that the arrangements were made through Thompson's Funeral Home in Middletown."
I get tears seeing folks all coming in to post their love and loss in the group and in honor of Mema Jo. I see her smiling down. "See there they are together, My Momsters" Up until she no longer had strength she came here, and when it was time for Jenny to step in, it was here that she came.
IT was mentioned on the FB message I think it was SHAR that someone needs to go to the YAhoo email the MOMSTERS group and let the 187 listed on there know
changing my avatar to the day I meet JO
someone on that day made a video and for the world of me I don't know who it was LORI, LORETTA were also doing pic that day
Was in Dallas with Jack and the boys. Knew there were messages so took a peek.
Mema Jo was so very special to all of us. What a lady she was! She enjoyed life, loved her Eagles and this group. She handled her sickness with such dignity and she left this place with more dignity. She is so admired and we have learned much from her. Prayers now for her family as they face the future. Hugs to each of you.
Who ordered the eagle flowers for Lynn? What florist created it? We need to do the same for Jo.
Another sad day in the annals of Momster history, but a victorious day for Jo as she has received the ultimate promotion. We have another Angel looking over us and our dear eagle family. I'm sure she's pleased that so many have returned to share their thoughts. God bless the Lennox family as well as everyone who knew our dear MEME JO!
There aren't enough adjectives in our vocabulary to adequately describe JO. She had a way of making each of us feel respected, loved, special. I'm quite sure each member of the Lennox family felt he or she to be her "favorite". That's the kind of person she was! Rest in peace, Jo.
Well said, LOLLY. Jo was a classy lady to the end. There are not many people on this planet that no one ever has a bad thought about - and Jo was one of those. Such class and always a great example of kindness and positive energy.
I am so very sorry to hear that we have lost our Jo, but happy that she now is soaring high with the eagles in heaven; no more hurting or treatments. She was the nicest person anyone would want to know; so kind, caring and helpful in any way she could. My heart goes out to her husband and family. May God help them through this sad time. So glad she could transition in the beautiful room at Hospice that she wanted, surrounded by her family. She was one special lady and was so loved by us all. Until we all meet again in heaven, I will always remember her in the breeze that blows, the birds that sing, the waves on the beach. She will always be around us. God bless you Jo.
So sad about Jo. I posted my favorite song which seems so appropriate. He will raise you up on eagles wings Bear you on the breath of dawn, Make you to shine like the sun And hold you in the palm of His hand.
I have been requested to share the following information to include the email correspondence between Friends of NCTC and myself this morning. I made a donation in Jo's memory yesterday to both Friends of NCTC (eagle cam) and to the Smithsonian Zoo. I believe Jo would appreciate those remembrances. If any of you have a picture of Jo or some words to share, please email Friends of NCTC at info@friendsofnctc.org Below
Judith,
We noticed your donation was in memory of Jo Lennox. We are so sorry and saddened to hear this must indicate her passing. We hope she passed peacefully. Jo was so supportive of the eagles and the eagle cam program and she volunteered her time so generously despite her illness.
Thank you for your donation in Jo’s memory. We would like to honor her by including an In Memory of Jo Lennox section on our eagle cam page. Do you have details that you would like to see included about Jo? Would you be able to send her photo?
Sincerely,
Beth Alegret
I suggest waiting to put anything on the eagle cam page.
Our dearest friend and matriarch of the eagle momsters blog was transferred yesterday, at her request, from her home to Kline Hospice. While my donation in her memory is a wee bit premature, I will be away from home and wanted to make sure Jo is remembered by those who work so hard to support the eagles and their Sycamore Palace.
I do not know how to contact Steve Chase but as he is our blog master, hopefully he is aware of Jo's imminent death. Jo's daughter posted Jo's transfer to Kline on the blog yesterday and her comments on FB last night leave no doubt that her passing is imminent. This is a time of great sadness for all those Jo befriended and those of us who considered her a family member. I have not received word of her death but believe the time is very near. If any of you read our blog, or can talk with Steve Chase, you will know when to use the eagle cam page. God bless Jo and may her spirit soar with the eagles.
Thank you so much for letting me know the donation has been received.
Sincerely,

I went on the momsters email on fb and asked WANDA
I was referring to the EAGLE that GENE had
Was it Margy? Or maybe Jo that arranged for the eagle for Gene?
