Would be happy to have you, Judie. And Kathryn invited Paul. If he comes, he would make #11, but she has not heard back. He is one of the bunch of friends who get together with Kathryn on Sundays for lunch--the "Lunch Bunch."
Good Easter evening. Hope all has enjoyed the day with families. Thank you for the new Thread!! I am at work. Watching Shamrock and Clover and their lil beady eyes make me smile!!! Theya are just too darn cute!
Had a wonderful outing last evening. Had a Wine and Paint nite. Had SO much fun till I was leaving and lost my footing coming out the my friends garage. Of course I went down, twisted my ankle pretty good and landed on my left knee... Not the one I injured back last July... thank goodness. But my knee is bruised and swollen too and cause I am at work with my legs in sitting position, the swelling is making its way down my calf... and its only 430.... ugh! I may end up going to get my ankle xrayed. It hurts to twist it in any motion. Could not even get my foot into my boot. So I am in sneakers. I am such a clutz. Heck just put in a bed next to Mama Wanda and that way I can get PT. Maybe I can recoup at the beach too!!! I can bring my painting! :)
It is 4:30pm and all is quiet in our home again. For about 5 hrs 19 family members were here and the meal provided by all the adult children was wonderful. The desserts were coconut cake - lemon cheesecake - Peanut butter pie - and of course Chocolate peanut butter eggs and jelly beans. The ham, green beans, mac/cheese, potato salads, fruit salads, rolls and crab cakes made up the meal. Everyone got to take left overs home.
NOW is feet up time then later a very light dinner.
Carolyn I love the beach scene you painted! I saw your swollen knee and ankle on FB Yes, get an X-ray and prop your foot up at work! For heavens sake keep pressure off of it - you know the "NO FALL" rule of this group. Love you and heal fast or get a cot beside Wanda. Good Idea - she would love the company ♥
I am partial to beach themes, I wonder if other paint nites would be as much fun? NO fall rule...lol I fail at that one!! Thank you Momma Jo, If its not better by tomorrow or Tuesday I will most likely go and get xrays. I know they cant see much when its swollen.. so maybe the welling will be down some then. I would have called out today if I could, but really couldnt afford to today after taking yesterday off for the fun time. NO pressure on it unless I am walking and havent done too much of that either.
Your dinner sounded amazing! I miss big family get togethers the most.
Hope everyone had a Happy Easter, whether it was filled with family n' feasting or laid back and restful!
Thanks to Steve for the Holiday New Thread and to JUDIE for the call over!
CAROLYN, glad you had some good fun, but sorry the finale was a bummer. Do take care and do take the precaution of seeing a doc for x-rays, etc..
Thanks to the nest Reporters!
It was a grand and glorious Easter weekend here with sunny, mid-70's days yesterday and today. Enjoyed Seth's 24 hour visit, Saturday night's Contra Dance and a scrumptious lunch at Julie's today. She and Hugh took the dogs on a long walk, so Penny has been sleeping like a baby most of the time since we came home.
Prayers for all on our list and for any unspoken needs in our Momster family!
Good evening. Thanks for New Thread. I was pretty busy today. Not much time for Cam watching. Not much going on at nest now. Glad everybody had nice Easter. Have a peaceful night.
Not certain but if you NOT on FB try to this link-------FB peeps go to the Eaglet Momsters Page. This is an article about the NCTC eagles that will appear in the Hagerstown Herald Mail tomorrow. The reporter has placed it on FB - Steve and I looked it over and we are happy for the publicity BUT Steve said that Richard sometimes does get stuff wrong. I had gotten a phone call to be interviewed about the nest but I don't think I ever said I was the President of The Friends of NCTC - life time member yes - Steve sent email to their Liaison and explained the error. We also have 189 members in our Yahoo group. But Steve is thankful for publicity - so it reads well. Long Link!
No diet day.....is right! Had two, yep, count them.....two glasses of wine, besides all the good food.
Fritz family had returned home but had fun while they were here. Joey was telling us more about his trip to Ecquador. I think I told you wrong before. Mistranslation in communication! Lol
Boys were fun! In fact a great time and forgot to take pictures. Laurel did take one of Skippi curled on my chair. Had to tell Joey to put up the footrest. Skippi was on the floor looking up as if to say "Where is MY footrest?"
Happy tohavea new thread. Thanks, Steve. Off to read the article.
Good morning Shirley. Been watching Shamrock and Clover being fed. Jo - I enjoyed the article. You should be proud of all the effort and work you do on behalf of the Momsters and the Eagle Family. I feel if you had not led the effort for a New Cam I would not even be participating in this whole process - so I thank you. It's nice to see the Shepherdstown Nest getting some publicity. Hope everyone has a nice day. Shamrock and Clover growing fast.
Goodorming my eagle friends from Mexico City! Talk about different from Bethany Beach, DE! Brian and Lynnis live on the top floor of a highrise building with huge windows on 2 sides so the view is pretty spectacular.
Our flights went smoothly. Bian and Freyja were waiting for us at the airport. When we got to the apartment, Lynnis had hidden eggs for Freyja in the playground area for the building so Freyja had an egg hunt and we had a picnic outside. Freyja chatters away in a combination of English and Spanish - she is a happy, busy little girl.
I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter with family.
Carolyn, sorry about the ankle -sounds painful.
Thanks Steve for the new thread - I will read the news article about the nest after I post this.
Not sure what we will be doing today, tomorrow we will be going to see Aztec (I think) pyramids. The weather is supposed to be sunny and in the 70s here all week.
I got an email from Lisa that she didn't close the door to Janey's crate the first night, despite the fact that I told her not to allow Janey to wander. Janey got into their trash can and Lisa found the living room carpeted with trash. Janey ate a whole lot of pork fat that Lisa had wrapped in aluminum foil and threw away. I assume she ate some aluminum foil as well. So far, just some diarrhea during the day yesterday. I hope that's all.
Sandi, thanks for checking in. Glad the visit has begun with Freyja Fun. So sorry about Janey and hope she's okay by now.
Jo, need to read the article. Will do that later. As Jerry says, we owe you a huge debt of gratitude for all you do for NCTC and the blog. So very happy you and the family enjoyed Easter Sunday together.
Shirley, also glad you had a wonderful Easter. How does Kathryn like the Ferrari?
Carolyn, hie thee to a doctor just in case, please.
Lolly, work fast!
We are off to visit Westminster today to look at various apartments which are the same design as the cottage we preferred. Then having dinner with friends who moved their several months ago.
Good morning! Saw 39 this morning, but sunny and up to 55. Hope to talk Jack into spreading mulch today, but presently we are both moving slowly.
Can not imagine living in a high rise! Have fun, Sandi!
Had the cam up all day. Joey was sitting in my chair when he saw the eagle move. Oh....it is live! Lol. Jack is enjoying it more than before. So thankful for the new cam.
Not much on the agenda this week. Saturday we are having good friends over for a Trivial Pursuit party. We do this about once a year. Always a fun time.
Best thing on FB so far are pictures from Sandi of Frejya and her Easter basket. So very happy they are having family time. Hoping that Janey doesn't miss them too much.
The best thing for me is that I am going to the ZOO to see Prince Bei Bei and Princess Bao Bao. My granddaughter is taking me - I'll use my wheelchair and Michael will try to go with us as the 2 greats will be there. I am very excited and I love my Christine.
I agree the news article in the Herald Mail paper will bring some more viewers to the live feed - it will give us good publicity. Judy I'm sure I said Momsters/Dadsters. Jerry is the regular one for us!
Well I am off to get my day organized - perhaps an afternoon nap! lol Everyone have a good day - smile
JO, the article is quite good in spite of a bit of technical erring. I'm very happy with the designation Richard give you, we couldn't have a better President! The article did make note of that fact that we count some menfolk amongst our blogger family. Wow! A trip to the zoo to see the adorable Pandas! Hurray for Christine--we all love her for loving you so very much!
SANDI, I'm thrilled for you and Brian! For Freyja, too, as grand-parental love is like no other love in a child's life. Hope Janey is Aok by now!
JUDIE, enjoy the day at Westminster! May it produce the answers you're looking for.
We've gone from sunny in the 70's to gloomy in the 40's overnight. A very loud thunderstorm and copious amounts of rainfall disturbed sleep. An afternoon nap is in order.
Prayers for all in need, whether bi-ped or quad-ped!!!
Held hostage, well maybe. Tori is waiting for IV meds to be set up for delivery, have home health set up to stop in tomorrow(?) to show us how to administer meds. The next 8 weeks three times a day Tori will be fighting aggressively this bacteria her lungs have been hit with. yes it is curable and yes it will help her lung function so she can lead a normal life once again.
Now to set up a time and we can get Tori home, the doctors wont release her until there is a definite time tomorrow
Just got in again had to go get a nail repaired half the way down the nail it split OUCH they put porcelain on it yeah and didn't charge but I did give 5 as a tip Had to argue about that also so I pretended to twist his arms and he took it LOL
Cornell Red-tailed Hawk: "A wet and windy morning today. Ezra, the male, takes a moment to shake off rainwater and roll the eggs before settling back down to incubate."
I actually did pretty well yesterday, just kept telling myself its one day its one day. I didn't get grumpy til this morning...very little sleep of course, , no coffee, blood sugar low...yeah, not a fun morning. when I was trying to get ready, my hair fell over my face like snape's in harry potter and tom started cracking funnies and I said, no, not now. I know I look like snape, but I dont' have a sense of humor at this moment. or maybe it was I had his sense of humor. wasn't pretty either way.
we were home by 10:30 and I was back asleep.
tom was waking me up early after noon telling me I had to get up. I was disagreeable of course, BUT our young en gave him quite a scare.
he took her for her allergy shot and she passed out. clunked her noggin and had a gash right beside her left eye. our doc told him to take her to vandy for eval and stitches.....not sure why I had to be in on the decision....but I glanced at it and said yep take her. it won't take more than 1 or 2 stitches, but is very close to the eye.
ekg is fine. dehydrated....doc told her to drink more. I suspect she isn't eating enough either. you know teenagers....
so tom's had quite the day. they are currently waiting on plastic surgeon to come in and look at the wound as it is so close to the eye.
I am glad I opted to stay home as I would have not dealt well with sitting in the ER in my caffeine- deprived, drugged condition. lol.
my gal pals are in town. they are staying out at chris' son's house. he and his wife are now divorced (yes, less than a year ago we had a wedding)....won't go into details, but suffice it to say, she wasn't lonely .... anyway, so looking forward to our girls day out tomorrow.
Janet you have had a not so good feeling day but once you get to see your gal pals I think you will feel 100% better! Hope Livy's cut can heal without a battle wound. Happy Tom is getting her checked out.
okay, read back. JO: excited for you to see the pandas!!!!!! way cool.
hope CAROLYN is doing better. know SANDI is enjoying herself... everyone seems to have had a nice weekend. Livvy did get a couple of stitches. She passed out because of 1. dehydration and 2. not eating properly. she's a teenager you know. sheesh!
poor tom! he's had a rough day!
well as evening falls all is well at the roost. kind of cool that the eagles brought in a snake/eel. I am always amazed at the size of the fish they bring in! wish I could catch stuff like that!
looking forward to tomorrow. hope everyone has a great evening! hugs to all!
Yes, incident in DC was at the Capitol, but there was some concern at the White House as well. It seems that the gun the guy had was not even real, but I am wondering why it set off the metal detector if that is correct.
Jo, you will have to tell us all about the zoo. I haven't been there for a long time.
thank you for your concern. my day wasn't rough at all, really. I wasn't firing on all 8 cylinders this morning, certainly...lack of sleep, food, and waaay more Gatorade than I ever hope to drink for a while to come..... but after that, it was sleepy time for me.
livvy seems fine. 3 stitches. I think she will heal well. you know how it is with teenagers and not wanting to listen to mom regarding stuff in general. maybe now eating more properly and drinking enough fluids will have more importance????
gonna play some games, cruise fb for a bit. just winding down. hugs to all and sweet dream.s
That time of day to bring things to an end. Worked hard all afternoon in the yard. Got a lot done and plan to do the same tomorrow. We even took some plants out of the greenhouse! Oh, and need to get my hummingbird feeder out tomorrow. I thought about planting some things but think I will wait til next week. Get this next round of bad weather behind us!
About 15 minutes ago there was a lot of screaming from our eagles. Both parents on nest screaming their lungs out and an intruder circling. All quieted down after a few noisy minutes.
Good morning! Yes, apparently another bird flying around this morning. Lots of yelling by both of our Eagles. They were following whatever was flying around, but Belle never got up off the chicks!
Both in the nest again!
Going to head out again today. Potential for bad weather tonight, but biggest threat is tomorrow!
Sure sounds windy at the nest. Sunny and going into the low 80s today here. We are headed to explore the Pyramid of the Sun - at least I think that's the name.
Janet, what a lousy day you had yesterday - Surely today will be better.
My sister messaged me that Janey is not as mopey and there have been no more trash can incidents.
Judy - hold tight on this zoomed out - I haven't heard anything from Deb/Rob/Steve as to what the plan is. When and if I heard something I'll get right to you. Others like you are going to miss the close ups -
Hi, Everyone, Happy Belated Easter! Have been trying to get caught up here. Things have returned to normal since Courtney and her friend Lauren flew home to Texas on Saturday, the 19th. Emma still looks for them, though, when there's a noise outside.
Ken and I celebrated our 45th Anniversary on the 19th, and had a wonderful dinner of rib eye steak (We split a big one), baked potato (split it too), and zucchini squash. Delicious!
I'm thrilled to be able to watch the two bobbleheads, and love the names Shamrock and Clover!
Now to try to catch up--was glad to see Hoda's post here, but so sorry for the news of the avalanche, and sorry for the loss of life. Prayers for Daniel's soul, and for his family.
Prayers for Dana's dad, for Sandi, continued prayers for Tori and for Robyn. Lynne2, prayers for your situation (Eviction Notice!!), and hope for a much better place for you, Steve, and fur babies! Paula, healing prayers for Michael.
A Belated Happy Birthday for Bev! Hope you had a wonderful day!
Loretta, prayers for Baby Orange. Hope that dear kitty either found a forever home, or returns to you!
Jerry, hope Rhonda can stand to lose all that water weight, and is feeling better!
Lolly, sorry to hear of Jack's failed implant. Prayers that the next one is successful!
Prayers for continued healing for Wanda! Glad she's doing so well!
Judie, Belated Happy Gotcha Day for Jake & Jade! Could not be happier that they have settled in so well with you and Darth.
Jo, so glad that you're feeling well; healing prayers continue from this roost!
Healing prayers for Janet's Livvy, too!
Judy, that's great that your truck is now good to go! Do you get it back today?! What a relief!
Well, need to go eat some lunch. Will say so long for now, but hope to be back sometime tomorrow. Have a good rest-of-the-day, and a good night, everyone. I ♥ us!! Oh--Ken and Emma both say "Hi!"
the power steering pump is making noises was when I picked it up and I pointed it out to Mike he said run it and bring it back if it doesn't stop Here we go again I guess The pump is under warranty so back it goes.
Also want to relay a message from Wanda. She said to tell everyone she is doing fine, will start using a cane instead of a walker and will be discharged soon. Maybe early next week. I called her because I was going to be unable to visit her tomorrow like I planned. She thanked me and said she might not be there next week to visit. It was good to talk to her and hear she was getting along well.
Hi Andy. So nice you stopped by to visit and catch up. Guess your place seems very quiet after the girls departure. No doubt Emma got even more attention than usual.
Jerry, thank you for the update on Wanda. I am absolutely sure she was thrilled to chat with you. Bet she was surprised to hear your voice.
JMHO but I think the camera being zoomed out a bit is fine. It will be a very short time before the eaglets are toddling around and this view will be much appreciated. Thank you Jo for Steve's message.
Sorry your truck is still puny JudyE.
Betcha Sandi and crew had a fun time at the Sun Pyramid, especially knowing that Janey seems to have adjusted reasonably well.
Kay, Jake and Jude are very pleased. Raced to the kitchen and stared at their mini-mart as I unpacked their supply. They had destroyed one of their scratching posts so added that to my shopping list. Spoiled rotten they are.
Lolly, hope you got lots of outdoor work done before the weather changes.
Dinner is to be late tonight so headed to put my feet up.
Just came in. Once again got a lot done. We trimmed trees today.. Trying to get a wee bit more sun down to the lawn.
Presently 72 and has been cloudy all day.
New development in the tee shirt saga. Remember they sent a child's shirt, in my opinion. They claimed it was adult large. Their final statement said their shirts ran two sizes too small. Huh? How can you sell on line if sizes do not run true? Said they were sending a 2 X. Well, they did. Yes, it is a 2 X and way too big! So, tonight I email back telling them how foolish they are! I want my money back or an adult large! Take my word, it is a child's shirt.
I was watching today when they pulled the cam back. I like it!
Well I'm calling it a day SED AOYP See ya in the am ☼ at Sycamore Sunrise Cyber Cafe Bless this Nest and all ♀ ♂ whom watch it at Sycamore Palace Healing thoughts for those in need "Be kinder than necessary, for everyone is fighting some kind of battle"
Just talked to Walker Ford I told them I will drive the truck for a day or two just to see if the whine will go away. I doubt it and he said they will have to put a after market part in it He would rather not but since the Ford ones aren't working he will Fine with me I told him.
Yesterday was wonderful but a bit too much for me. Between the elevation here, climbing 247 steps in the dry heat to the top of the Pyramid of the Sun, getting dehydrated, and spending about 4 hours throughout the day in the back seat of a car, I was feeling pretty puny by the time we got home. I took Tylenol and Dramamene and I feel OK today.
I think we are taking Freyda ro the zoo today. Yesterday, she insisted on walking by herself, lost her footing on the bumpy cobblestones, and fell; she scraped her knee and bumped her forehead in 2 places. Some blood and 2 lumps on her head but no stitches. Hopefully she will stay in her stroller today.
Good morning! Poor baby bumping her head! Good for you, Sandi, making that long climb to the top of the pyramid! Makes me think of hiking in Colorado. Thin air takes it right out of you!
So far, no storms here! But, we have the whole day with the possibility! Think I am going to run errands, do a little house keeping chores, and still no rain venture outside.
Wow, on the video! Wish we knew what disturbed Belle during the day yesterday.
We were sitting outside watching our bluebirds when we heard the tornado sirens. No rain, thunder in the distance, we decided to come in when we saw lightening. Sure enough, tornado warning for our county. Still no rain.
Got a lot done in the yard once again. I work in one area and then I see something else that needs to be done in another area. It is ever ending but as long as it is not too strenuous, but enjoy it!
Storm has passed. It poured, almost an inch within 15 minutes, pea size hail, but that is all! So glad I worked on the yard today, will be too muddy to work tomorrow!
Sandi, sorry you had some down time but ever so glad you have recuperated. What an accomplishment to climb that pyramid. Ah, into every toddler's life there must be a bump and scrape along the way. I'm sure she was more than well-cared for with granny Sandi to the rescue.
Lolly, sorry about the nasty weather but nice you and Jack have accomplished so much.
JudyE, sorry about the truck.
I think today was Jo's day with Bei Bei. If so, I hope she had the best day ever.
Headed to my recliner. Feet up. Eye lids closed. Then the pillows.
While eating dinner the sun came out! Bet there was a rainbow as it was still raining lightly. I went out after it stopped. It was like a new day, bright and sunny as it got so dark.
DC babes are enjoying some sunshine and lots of wind and then I moved up the road to Shepherdstown and see the NCTC babes are enjoying sunshine while home alone. Hope little Shamrock and Clover are being watched from a tree branch.
Jo, bet your day at the zoo was terrific. It was a perfect day for an outing and to see the little prince, Bei Bei.
Easy agenda for me today. A little laundry and putting a lasagna together after I make some sauce.
What a beautiful sight. Shep, I think, standing guard while Shamrock and Clover assume the plotzed position in the windy, but mostly sunny nest.
SANDI, a cold, oh no! Hope it doesn't interfere with today's plans or with your enjoyment of the lovely Senorita Freyja.
JO, I just know your day at the Zoo was wonderful! Your loving family is much appreciated by all we Momsters who also love you so.
I need to do a little Krogering as I prepare for a visit from our Michiganders, Eileen and Bill. They'll arrive tomorrow evening and will be staying at Julie's so I don't have to plan on anything but Sunday breakfast.
LOLLY, I guess your storms found their way to Ohio, but it does take these "April" showers to bring on the flowers.
Good late morning to all! I'm still low on energy that I spent yesterday! So well worth it! After being out for 5 hours when I got home I was sound asleep for 3 hrs. I felt great but the fresh air did me in! My memories are going to last a long long time. ♥
Boy, it's a wonder that those bobbleheads haven't blown out of the nest! They are getting lunch right now. It seems they don't like to be tucked in during the day.
Taking a break. Have been cleaning, changing out clothes, now dusting. With house open need to dust frequently.
Yes, Kay, guess we need April showers to bring May flowers, however at this point thinking I need plants that bloom in a swamp or bog! Maybe I should go for growing rice!!😱😜
Jack is not home. I like cleaning when he is not around!
Shamrock is two weeks old! HB Shamrock!
Latest on t-shirt. They are refunding my money. So, I am left with a shirt too small for any family member and a 2XX shirt for Jacob to grow into! They still insist their shirts run two sizes too small. If that is the case, then why is the 2XX so huge? Also, how can they sell on line without telling customers the shirts run small? This whole situation has been so ridiculous!
Judy E, you just got truck back and had to take it back already? that stinks!! Jerry so glad you were able to talk with Momma Wanda! Lolly, I thank God no tornadoes!! I am about done with the wind here! IT wont take me to the beach so it can go away.
Knee is still so bruised, today it is tight feeling. Cant wait to get home and prop it up with ice. I have pics on FB. Ankle is still sore and swollen too. But walking is getting better. The Boyfriend says I dont sleep well and keep moving therefore he gets no sleep. Hmmmm I say it sounds like it might be time for him to go home!! No, sorry I didnt go to doctor. I have not the money for bills as I have Crap for insurance and a $5000 deductible. I am still paying on bills from my surgery two yrs ago and last yrs knee issue. SO, I will deal with pain for a bit.
Just got back from Jordyn gym and three cell towers got to see 5 eagles I think something may have happened to the juvie at Freedom park I haven't seen in over a week and to young to fledge I think I emailed Sue and asked her waiting she is out of town and is going to ask Barb I hope nothing is wrong That saucer I don't like no where to branch compared to the tower before Hope I am just a worry wart and maybe did fledge
Carolyn I saw your knee pic on FB looks like it hurts I hope you get better soon SANDI I hope you feel better soon also so sorry you got sick probable the germie air plane ride
KAY hope you had a good visit
JO I so enjoyed the pic of the zoo Looks like you all go a good view of the little one So nice compared to the internet view I bet
Live feed was down when I got home but its running ok now

Thank you Steve and a very happy Easter day to you and the family and the NCTC staff.
Quiet day here. Also gloomy and overcast but pleasant temp.
Lolly, enjoy the day with family and all the rewards of your culinary efforts.
Shirley, I would hop on down but ten would be enough, I think. Enjoy the family day.
Suzan, enjoy that Reuben!
Sandi is winging her way to see little Freyja. Hope she has a wonderful time.
Wishing everyone a most lovely day.
THANKS FOR THE NEW THREAD STEVE

Good afternoon,
Would be happy to have you, Judie. And Kathryn invited Paul. If he comes, he would make #11, but she has not heard back. He is one of the bunch of friends who get together with Kathryn on Sundays for lunch--the "Lunch Bunch."
Wishing everyone a very happy Easter Day.
Good Easter evening. Hope all has enjoyed the day with families. Thank you for the new Thread!!
I am at work.

Carolyn I love the beach scene you painted! I saw your swollen knee and ankle on FB
Yes, get an X-ray and prop your foot up at work! For heavens sake keep pressure off of it - you know the "NO FALL" rule of this group. Love you and heal fast or get a cot beside Wanda. Good Idea - she would love the company ♥
Thank you Steve for our Easter Day Thread
Thanks Judie for the call over.
Looks like it could rain here in my valley at any time
I am partial to beach themes, I wonder if other paint nites would be as much fun?
NO fall rule...lol I fail at that one!!
Thank you Momma Jo, If its not better by tomorrow or Tuesday I will most likely go and get xrays. I know they cant see much when its swollen.. so maybe the welling will be down some then. It was a grand and glorious Easter weekend here with sunny, mid-70's days yesterday and today. Enjoyed Seth's 24 hour visit, Saturday night's Contra Dance and a scrumptious lunch at Julie's today. awwwww what a nice article. I came for the eagles and stayed for the friendships I made.
Link worked great and what a nice article and they forgot our dadsters
Looks like I need Togo read the article!
No diet day.....is right! Had two, yep, count them.....two glasses of wine, besides all the good food.

Happy tohavea new thread. Thanks, Steve. Off to read the article.
Carolyn Had to get mom's quote in there!!!
Goodnight to all ♥
Awesome, Jo! Loved that our "motto" was in the article.!
Watched some Masterpiece TV tonight! Now time to head to the shower.
Have tomorrow and Tues to work in the yard then more severe storms coming Tuesday night! Groan.....
Night all! SED!
Good morning,
I see a very wet eagle on the nest this morning.
I hope that everyone had a good Easter and is ready to watch our eagle children today.
Take care of yourself, Carolyn. Sounds like you need to get checked out at the doctor's.
Now to read that article...
Have a greyt day everyone.
Good Morning Eagle Buds
I see a few rain drips on eagle back while sitting of the babes
Good morning.
Wishing everyone the very best day possible.
Have a great week!
Good Monday Morning To All !
Best thing on FB so far are pictures from Sandi of Frejya and her Easter basket. So
very happy they are having family time.
Well I am off to get my day organized - perhaps an afternoon nap! lol
Everyone have a good day - smile
Good Morning Eagle Buds!!!

Tori update
I notice no SOUND on the live feed??
great news on TORI JO thanks for the update
SOUND IS BACK with vengeance LOL
Lockdown at White House and Capitol. Reports of shots fired.
Not much info available at this time. Hoping it is a false alarm.
Report that someone tried to jump the fence at the White House.
Suspect shot and in custody. Woman injured. Seems to be an isolated incident.
SHIRLEY so happy it got resolved fast
The wind is so bad at the nest Poor eagle sort of crouched down
Yes, Judy, good that it was not worse. Channel 7 is saying a police officer was shot, but not injured seriously.
I get worried since I have two children working in the DC area.
SNAKED DELIVERED
Whole family in the nest.
Little ones bouncing around in the cup. Keep those babies safe, parents. the wind is crazy.
kids aren't hungry
one poofed I think Shep
snake is laying at 12
Little ones are lying down in the cup. Best place for them.
Belle saunters to the snake Talons on it
Really a snake? Oh yes, now I see it. A big one.
Snake just got moved. I hope it is dead. It is big. Not moving, that I see, and seems to be getting eaten.
that was pretty cool Belle hopped flew with snake in talons to the other side of nest got snip
little one out of cut went to Belle
Little one says, "Gimme some of that snake." Jumped right out of the cup.
Now they are under parent. Much better with all of this wind.
out of cup not cut LOL
heading out for a bit
Latest information about the shooting: No police officers injured.
Cornell Red-tailed Hawk: "A wet and windy morning today. Ezra, the male, takes a moment to shake off rainwater and roll the eggs before settling back down to incubate."
Cam link: http://cams.allaboutbirds.org/channel/16/Red-tailed_Hawks/
Lots of ruckus at the nest I wonder what is around
a good 5 min of eagle calling
still calling out Breaks my heart to hear that
Belle keeps looking around and calling calling out on alert
shame we can't call the guard house
Good thing the nest is sturdy and that sycamore tree is flexible. Ltys of calling out.
HI JERRY
I hate it when we don't know why she is hollering in alert
keeps watching as she calls out
in with fish and on alert
Both in sqwuaking
Shep in behind Belle she is still calling out
can't see what is in talons food of some kind
off both are off the nest
Both took off now.
nest is rocking with eaglets in cup I hear nothing since they both left
one is back
One back now.
No adults present in the nest. Babies in cup. Oh, good. One adult in.
Belle is on the edge at 3 loooking around no calling out This is so stressful
No adults present in the nest. Babies in cup. Oh, good. One adult in.
moved to the fish that was brought in on the otherside of the nest
seems all is good now I HOPE
JERRY what kind of fish is at 12 looks see through
Lets hope this is it and Shep chased off the intruder
Drama looks to be over. Maybe an intruder. Not sure.
Now that things are calm I am now leaving like I tried to when this all started
Not sure about the fish Judy.
The one still moving? It looks like an eel. I saw on the Facebook feed that someone mentioned an eel being brought in to nest.
Feeding time.
I didn't see the Facebook comment about the eel, Jerry. Judy and I thought it might be a snake, but maybe it is an eel.
I think the think at the top may be a eel at 12 do you see it SHIRLEY sort of see through and the snake is at the bottom of the nest
oh this is a fish just got turned
looks like a minnow real little compared to the whales
on tablet sitting at park
reception is bad only can do one thing so back to the camera while I wait for eagle at tower
I posted a couple of pictures of the snake/eel on my blog, Jerry.
Bad hair day for Belle?
good evening. Monday.
well, I made it thru the nasty 36 hours!
I am glad I opted to stay home as I would have not dealt well with sitting in the ER in my caffeine- deprived, drugged condition. lol.
my gal pals are in town. they are staying out at chris' son's house. he and his wife are now divorced (yes, less than a year ago we had a wedding)....won't go into details, but suffice it to say, she wasn't lonely .... anyway, so looking forward to our girls day out tomorrow.
going to read back now. :) hugs to all
Janet you have had a not so good feeling day but once you get to see your gal pals I think you will feel 100% better!
Good evening.
A very nice day at Westminster. Learned much from our friends and met more residents.
Janet, sorry you had such an awful day and do hope Olivia is doing well tonight.
Jo, so happy you were able to visit with Bei Bei. What a lovely day for you.
See there was a dust-up at the nest today. Glad all was resolved peacefully.
I believe the DC incident was at the Capitol not the White House. Suspect has been a problem in the past.
Tired so headed to the pillow in a few.
Wishing everyone a night of restful sleep.
Judie - Zoo date has not yet happened - Probably Wed
I am excited to get down there
Yes, incident in DC was at the Capitol, but there was some concern at the White House as well. It seems that the gun the guy had was not even real, but I am wondering why it set off the metal detector if that is correct.
Jo, you will have to tell us all about the zoo. I haven't been there for a long time.
Glad you got to visit Westminster, Judie. Maybe you'll be there sooner than you expect.
Oh my goodness, Janet. What a day you have had. I do hope Olivia recovers without any problems.
Watching DWTS with my good friend Allie Cat.
Good night, everyone. See you tomorrow.
Windy windy! I hope the winds calm !
Off to bed - Hope to see everyong in the morning!
Goodnight to all ♥
still awake. brain won't shut down.....
thank you for your concern. my day wasn't rough at all, really.
Night all! SED!
Good morning. I see a sleeping eagle in nest. Can still hear some wind. Have a great day. Jo - enjoy your zoo trip.
Good Morning EAGLE BUDS
SURPRISE SURPRISE
26 DAYS later
and
my
truck
IS READY JUST GOT THE CALL LOL
Good morning.
Agenda today is going to Pet Smart to restock the J&J Mini Mart. Maybe a load of laundry.
Nest quiet. Big activity is basking in the sunshine with eaglets having breakfast. Wind is still strong enough to sway the nest.
More excitement in DC this morning. Unattended backpack type bag found at the Capitol visitor center. Lots of uniforms and flashing lights.
Wishing everyone the very best day possible.
Good morning.
About 15 minutes ago there was a lot of screaming from our eagles. Both parents on nest screaming their lungs out and an intruder circling. All quieted down after a few noisy minutes.
Good morning to all ♥
Oh Happy Day Judy - Hope all is fixed !
Going in for my blood work - Joy!
Hoping all will enjoy their day - SMILE
morning all! yippee! JUDYE's truck is ready!!!! :) :) :)
everyone have a great day!
Good Morning Eagle Buds!!!
Love opening up to find a feeding in progress. Clover and Shamrock are soooo cute!
LYNNE1, thanks for the intruder alert. Glad Belle and Shep quickly dispatched "it" away and outta here.
JO, hope your blood is beautiful in every possible aspect!
JUDIE, I'm sure Jake n' Jude will be grateful for the restocking efforts. Lucky little guys!
Looks like our weather and the nest weather are pretty much the same. Love that sunshine!
Prayers for all in need!!!
♥♥♥♥♥♥♥
Now two parents in the nest, but the feeder isn't giving way to the returnee just yet.
Goodorming my eagle friends.
Have a greyt day all.
Looks like Deb got the zoom pulled back on the cam
gonna miss the close ups
Judy - hold tight on this zoomed out - I haven't heard anything from Deb/Rob/Steve as to what the plan is. When and if I heard something I'll get right to you. Others like you are going to miss the close ups -
Hi, Everyone,
Happy Belated Easter!
Good afternoon everyone. See one eagle in nest...looks like they are eating. Still windy but sunny.
ANDY 45 years CONGRATULATIONS
Taking truck back tomorrow
the power steering pump is making noises was when I picked it up and I pointed it out to Mike he said run it and bring it back if it doesn't stop
Here we go again I guess The pump is under warranty so back it goes.
Headin out for a make up gymnastic night for Jordyn
Steven Chase · Works at U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service
We zoomed back today around noon to allow a better view around the nest.
Hoping to see what the intruder is around the nest recently.
Good late afternoon.
Bye
I like it!
the nest is oh so pretty right now with the green on the ground Spring had sprung when we weren't looking
Dinner over. Scullery in order.
Prayers for all in need, especially Tori.
Wishing everyone a night of restful sleep.
Hi,
Getting sleepy. Today was busy with bowling and lunch out.
Glad to see that Wanda is doing so well and that everyone else seems to be doing fine.
SED. See you tomorrow.
Well I'm calling it a day

Nite all! SED!
Wow an owl just visited the nest ! Scared the daylight out of me!
Saw it on Deb S video
Belle was swift!
Not sure Si remember how to paste a blue link.
Here is Deb's YouTube video
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=D1o2G3YP4ys&feature=em-uploademail
Good morning Hoda. I will have to watch the video. I see Belle is awake now. I guess the owl was causing all the drama. Talk later and take care all.
Good morning.
Thank you Hoda for Deb's video. How's Dragon Boating?
Today is "do" day. Be back this afternoon.
Wishing everyone the best day possible.
Good Morning Eagle Buds
Just talked to Walker Ford I told them I will drive the truck for a day or two just to see if the whine will go away. I doubt it and he said they will have to put a after market part in it He would rather not but since the Ford ones aren't working he will Fine with me I told him.
Good morning,
Thanks for the link, Hoda. I need to check that out.
Good Morning Eagle Buds!!!
HODA, thanks for the video---that was a scary minute or two! Belle did a good job! Looks like a beautiful Spring day for our eagle family.
SANDI, I hope the Pyramid trip was satisfying and beauteous!
Hope it is for all of you as well!
Prayers for all in need!!!
♥♥♥♥♥♥♥
That is, I hope you're all having a beautiful Spring day, too.
Goodorming my eagle friends.
Jo, enjoy your zoo trip today!
Have a greyt day all!
Slept late this morning. I am running way behind!
Have a great day!
Shamrock is still out of the cup A bit ago adult flew out kids unattended started crawling out of cup Adult back and one is still out of cup
was so cute after adult flew out both eaglets stood straight up and did a bobbling of sorts like LETS PARTY LOL
Getting dark, still no rain. Do not want hail!
Thunder getting louder and closer!
Storm has passed. It poured, almost an inch within 15 minutes, pea size hail, but that is all! So glad I worked on the yard today, will be too muddy to work tomorrow!
Good evening all.
Wishing everyone a night of restful sleep.
While eating dinner the sun came out! Bet there was a rainbow as it was still raining lightly. I went out after it stopped. It was like a new day, bright and sunny as it got so dark.
Now going to put my feet up and read!
Just a quick good night. Rest well, everyone.
Good Morning Eagle Buds
Hope all is ok with everyone since no one as posted since last night
Good morning.
Wishing everyone a wonderful day.
Goodorming my eagle friends. Today is our last full day in Mexico. I think we are visiting a famous basilica and an artisans market.
I have developed an awful cold - hope that, with some cold medicine, I am able to keep p today.
Have a greyt day all.
Good morning!
Oh, Sandi, so sorry! That is not good when you want to love on your grand baby! Enjoying your pictures!
Sunshine today after the storms yesterday. 63 and just beautiful outside! Though very muddy! Staying in today and doing housecleaning chores!
Good Morning Eagle Buds!!!
Prayers for all in need!!!
♥♥♥♥♥♥♥
Good late morning to all! I'm still low on energy that I spent yesterday! So well worth it! After being out for 5 hours when I got home I was sound asleep for 3 hrs. I felt great but the fresh air did me in! My memories are going to last a long long time. ♥
Nothing on tap for today for sure..........
I think it will be more napping - lol
Hoping all is well and that no one has flooding !
TTUL
Good Evening!
Babes are alone with some big fish!
Momma Jo, glad you have some great memories of the Zoo and Bei Bei!! Now to get caught up!

Good morning,
I am up in my room while Brenda cleans my downstairs.
I see an adult eagle in a very windy nest. Little ones are visible in the cup on the other side of the nest. Traffic moving by on the street beyond.
Little ones are lying low in the cup. That looks like a good idea.
Well, I had to rush downstairs because the phone was ringing.
Now adult is in the egg cup. One little one is out. Not sure where the other one is.
Okay, y'all come on over to the fresh Friday thread Steve has provided.
