Between the Pope at Ground Zero, John Boehner news, and. Vet visit for Lizzie, I haven't had much time to watch the people action at the nest. Thanks to all who posted pictures on FB. The new view is wonderful.
It's so interesting to "see" the depth of the nest even though we are not near it. The nest looks fragile in some ways and sturdy in others. Fascinating to have this perspective. How different what I see since first finding the cam almost eight years ago. And was ecstatic to watch it then!
I have been looking for ducky and don't see him at all maybe in the nest somewhere or thrown out last time I saw was at bottom of nest and would be at top of nest now at 11
Hi all from school. LOVE the new cam view - wish I could have seen some of the action!! I'll have to check Facebook when I get home (can't access it here at school). Like Paula, I hope they leave the still cam on the old view and the new cam on the new view.
Nail app after school - it was supposed to be yesterday but, when I showed up, my apt had been deleted and my girl was not there.
there is one camera only - if you see both cams now the views are the same. IT will be working to get the HD on the still cam. I have no idea what all the buttons are for except volume, full screen - Steve will need to educate us about them. There is night vision - guess we will see that this evening - I hope.
My live feed has been up all afternoon and is still going.
Lynne1 - Deb and Debi have both recorded all of this. Watch for Deb's video under the live feed cam. I will try to put the urls on here when the girls have them up. Like you said - too much important news going on at any one time.
FB has a comparison picture of 2006 nest and the 2015 nest - Eagle Eyed Sharon has it on her page and I shared it over to mine. WILD !

Keepers were able to weigh the panda cub yesterday and he’s 2.95 pounds of adorable! The 4.5 week-old cub is now larger than both his siblings were at the same age. Bao Bao was about 2 pounds and Tai Shan was 2.6 pounds. He had a veterinary exam Sept. 17, and he’s 31 centimeters long from his head to the tip of his tail. He is able to push himself up on his 10 centimeter-long front legs and sometimes scoots around the den. He’s not walking yet, though. But, he can hear now! Keepers noticed that he reacted to the noise of a door opening on Saturday. His eyes won’t open for another few weeks.
Bei Bei’s name, chosen by First Lady of the United States Michelle Obama and First Lady of the People’s Republic of China Peng Liyuan, means “precious, treasure” and is complementary to his big sister’s name, Bao Bao.
Hi all - home from my nail appointment; just sitting here waiting for my first look at one of our eagles with the new live cam. The image is just so clear, even of the ground below the nest.
View of the nest is beyond amazing. How happy and grateful we have such a wonderful opportunity for the upcoming season. Heartfelt thanks to NCTC and all who contributed to this updated camera access.
Nest looks lovely in the night light.
I think Mei's cub was named way in advance of 100 days and naming was moved up because of the visit of the Chinese president and his wife. The cub is only about 5 weeks old. Can hear but cannot yet see.
In addition to the nest activity and improvements, I hope everyone had a wonderful day.
We have had a great day. We hiked a little. The went into town to mostly window shop. Did buy a little.
This even we went into the park to watch the elk. The elk rut is in full swing and they put on an awesome show this evening. We took chairs and a snack to watch the show. Imagine the road around a meadow lined with cars and hundreds of people out to watch the elk. We saw harems, bugling, and one fight where we heard the clang of antlers. There was also chasing. Saw bull elk wallowing in muck to make themselves more attractive. Lol. Saw them struggling to keep their harems. What a show!
good evening to one and all. I wasn't able to see all the live action today, but loved reading about it and seeing the pix.
so happy and excited about the up and coming eagle season! won't be long now!
its been a very busy day and I am tired. I will be retiring to dent the pillows shortly.
I had an 8:30 apt to get a massage from the new therapist. I need to work with her on a couple of things...so i'm putting her on my table next week and kind of walk her thru a few things. nothing major. just doing things the "massage envy" way. she's an excellent therapist!
then I jumped off of the table and drove across town to the orthopedic apt . good news. the doctor agreed with my doctor, the MRI was "age appropriate" ...with no injuries, no muscle tears, no bulging disks.
the problem seems to be more in my cervical spine, but again good news. the vertebrae are "nice and straight"( thank you chiro!) BUT I do have arthritis in my cervical vertebrae. and, of course, I do have some nerve impingement.
so lots of good news. an answer and a treatment plan. Physical Therapy. and if that doesn't give me enough "relief" then I am to go back and see the spine specialist and he can give me other options.
so I feel a lot better about things.....I am also going to start some natural anti-inflams to hopefully improve the situation as well.
after that, I ran back across town, back to work to give 1 massage.
since I've been home, I really haven't done much. I baked tom's bday cake. his bday is next week, but we will celebrate tomorrow evening. another German buttercream cake.
we went out to Tom and Chee for dinner. the serve tomato soup and grilled cheese sandwiches. my sandwich was a grilled cheese had roast beef and horse radish sauce on it....tom's had turkey, potato chips, onions and tomato chunks. we each buy a diff sandwich and then I take half of his and he takes half o f mine so we get to try diff things. it was wonderful!
we have had some rain today. hoping for more.
glad everyone had a good day. will check in tomorrow at some point....have to work....and then dinner out to celebrate Tom's upcoming bday!
Howdy eagle buds Night owl just got home was at Angie helping her finish up the first fund raiser of the year we started at 10 after Jordyn was put to bed The school has 350 kids and they raised a little over 27 thousand dollars Amazing to me We had to put space aliens on necklace for the kids up to 12 and they are fashioned after star wars Plus gives more volunteer hours for the school Angie gets plenty with being Prez of PTO
Jordyn was coughing and I told Angie that I don't think we should go to Adventure Island with her coughing sounded so croupie to me Angie called to see if they had a appt for tomorrow and No so we went to the Peds night clinic Nice that they have that Jordyn has a sinus infection No runny noise at all drainage in throat making cough so they have her antibiotic to take and odd they didn't put a flavor in it I told Angie to call to see if she can put some kind of flavor in it Odd all the times my kids got it It was always flavored
I doubt if I get up early to see and take snips of eagles for the am visit Love the glow of the nest at night Gonna be nice when its that time of the year for little ones SWEET
THANKS FOR THE PEOPLE THAT MADE IT POSSIBLE and STEVE =
There are two more parks that I found that I may go to one tomorrow
Well I'm calling it a day SED ♥AOYP See ya in the am ☼ at Sycamore Sunrise Cyber Cafe Bless this Nest and all ♀ ♥ ♂ whom watch it at Sycamore Palace Healing thoughts for those in need

It sure is nice to be able to see the nest at 6am. It's also good news that they fixed the infrared and left the old cam up in the tree as a back-up. Nest looks and sounds MT.
Lolly, sounds like you and Jack have had a great trip in spite of day 1. How has Skippi been in the trailer?
Lynne2, have the pigs gone to their new home? Any updates on the donkeys?
Lynne1, how are the kittens doing in their new home?
I wonder how Allie and Cheeto are getting along at Shirley's place?
Judy, have you heard anything about approval for your vacation in December?
Judie, how goes the big clean-out? Have you read about the KonMari method of decluttering your life?
Cleaning the upstairs is on my agenda. We were supposed to have friends come from Baltimore for this weekend but, with the weather forecast of rain and wind all weekend, they decided to reschedule.
Both doing some calling out. It appears that we still have a "no head zone." Right now I'm not able to see the head of either eagle since they are both staning right at the top edge of the nest.
Color has arrived at the nest and I am getting my first look at our eagles with the new cam. On full screen, the clarity is wonderful - you can almost count their feathers. More calling out and both are still standing at the very top of the nest so I can't see their heads.
Good morning all. I caught some of the best action around 7 this morning. The cam seemed to be still on the iPad, so I went to laptop and caught the poof. Sure is a lot of buffering. Is that due to my end? I have a new computer and a a new modem, older router. On my iPad I can't get any of the adjustment type symbols that are a cross the bottom of the screen. Anyway, I hope the royal pair some back soon. And I hope for a lovely weekend for all of you.
Lynne, I have a lot of buffering as well. Thought maybe due to older computer combined with "out in the boondocks" internet but maybe not since you are having it too.
GREAT owl listening last night! Baby owl was screeching away and for the first time since last winter, a parent was hooting too! While baby was further away, parent was calling every 10 seconds, give or take, and baby approx every 5 seconds. As he made his way closer to parent, parent also moved toward baby. Then the calls of both became VERY frequent until eventually the were together and then moved further away to the other side of the tree line!
good morning! I jus tpeeked in at the nest too...sooooooooooooooooooooooooo pretty and clear!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
questions from the inquiring mind: 1. how long have Belle and Shep used this nest (I know it was Lib for a while) 2. how big is the nest....this really good look has me curious how large and how "deep"
please and thank you for answers.
heading to do my do and put my face on. work today! gonna rock it!
Janet, I think this will be the ninth season or maybe the tenth! It's very unusual for a pair to use a nest this long so I hold my breath every year! Especially this season since we have the new camera!
Not sure what the exact measurements are...typically they are between 5-6ft in circumference and can weigh up to 2 tons or more! They add to it every year, approx 1-2 feet of new stuff, so that times 9-10 years is a very deep nest!
Janet, the first year there was a camera at the nest was 2006 but I don't know how long the eagles may have been using it before then.
I copied and pasted this from underneath the map on the NCTC site: "The eagle nest is on the west side of the National Conservation Training Center campus, about 100 feet high in a large sycamore tree, and is about 6 feet across and 5 feet deep, and weights several hundred pounds. It is made of branches and large sticks with a softer grass and leaf lining."
Lyyne1 & 2, I did not have a lot of buffering on my laptop - no interruptions to the live feed as well. I haven't tried viewing from my iPad since I like to split the screen so I can type and watch at the same time.
Amazing definition of the nest. I also have lots of buffering. I think it is because the new camera is providing soooo much detail and our computers, depending on band width, are saying wait a minute I need to catch up. Belle with Liberty followed by Shep have used that nest since some time prior to 2007, if memory is correct.
Will Google KonMari.
Dreary day. Need to get out though. Will do some foraging.
Good morning everyone. Gosh the nest is beautiful. I am glad our pair has green thumbs lol. It really shows us the color definition on our nest. I am off to photograph Disability Dogs this morning. Gorgeous weather here. I love fall for it's beauty in so many ways.
SANDI, glad you were up early and able to tell us about Belle and Shep doing some housekeeping. I'm sure they were watching yesterdays events from a distance and glad to get their digs back under their control! (Human feelings, I know)
Yesterday was mind boggling for me---the nest cam activity---the Pope's schedule---my granddaughter winging her way toward London for a year at Courtauld Institute of Art---thinking of my dear dad who was born 101 years ago on the 25th---Ohio reaction to Boehner's retirement......
Looking forward to enjoying a much more relaxed day today and hoping all of you will have Saturday filled with things you enjoy!
Good morning to all ♥ Crispy cool, weather - Today is forecast to be Cooler than yesterday.
I love our new cam - however; like most I am also having a lot of buffering - It could also be due to everyone viewing - pictures Judy captured this morning and also on FB the Eagle Cam pictures are fantastic! I hope the can pan out a little so we don't have a "No Head Zone" up at the noon position.
Foraging, dry cleaner done. Bought some new socks. Now need to find sandals.
A no-head zone would be wonderful, Jo. Yes, we need our Steve.
Glo, hope the photo session went beautifully. Bet it did! How are the critters doing?
Lynn2, an owl would be fun to listen to at night. I think the hawk is still hanging around in the trees.
Kay, certainly hope today has been quieter for you. Safe travels for your niece and may she have a most successful year of study and accomplishments. My father would be 117. Gosh that seems a bit on the elderly side.
Jo, thank you for forwarding the cooler weather over the mountain. Today was perfect for me.
Sandi, hope you had a nice day without school work.
Question: has anyone had any experience with Diltiazem (beta blocker)?
Going to take another look at the nest then feet going up for a few. Then to the scullery. BLT tonight.
Judie Yes I always enjoy my time with the Disability Dogs and their people both trainers and handlers. It's a pretty unique experience. All my critters are doing good. Took Patches to Petsmart and the Marina this afternoon. Just a beautiful day. My home is not getting much of my time these days. Patches doesn't care lol. Loving our new cam. I don't hear much if any sound tough Is it that quiet a day. I do see the leaves move. We need eagles to come in and let us know if sound is on r I need hearign aids.
good afternoon to all home from work! Thank you for the responses and info SANDI and LYNNE2. I knew that thing was indeed very large, but wow. Wow! Wow!! Busy day at work it was raining, so we were booked. Getting ready to walk the boys and then get ready to go out to dinner. Kids and gkids will be over! Check in later!
We head home tomorrow. We went into downtown Estes Park for the Autumn Gold celebration, but was not impressed. Side walks were crowded, traffic awful! We came back to the trailer and have had a great afternoon watching football and being lazy. May drive into the park late this evening to listen to the elk.
Yepper they came to see us and it was on the still cam first because the live feed was buffering. I got 3 shots but 2 are in the No Head Zone------- :(
Praying for a Safe journey home Lolly & Jack and I do mean safe.
Live feed sounds as though eagles are roosting on the new cam ! lol.
Glo, so glad you had a good day and very glad that Patches joined you for the afternoon outing. Home Smome - critter time is a very good thing. I increased the volume on my computer and I also did not get any sound. Odd as the wind was blowing a bit.
Jo, not much of interest to me on tv tonight. Will watch First 48.
Wishing everyone a night of restful sleep -- unless one is listening to owls.
Good evening eagle buds just got home a bit ago after a nice dinner with Angie and Jordyn sort of at Red Lobster She has a sinus infection has a cough the cough syrup makes her sleepy so she slept after she ate her biscuit and cheese sticks and then crashed before her main course came Carl is at the Gator game so we made a gals night out of it Back to work tomorrow
as far as my vacation being approved they can wait till the bitter end to approve it our schedules are made 3weeks in advance I did tell one AsstMgr about it we will wait I really don't think they will approve it being its the BLACKED OUT month of Christmas but I am not going to worry about I have a plan in mind remember
went to two nature parks today for walking fell in love with the second and the owls they have got to pet one that was sitting next to me as it ate its mice got to see dolphins also its on the intercoastal waterway NICE just not long enough for walking but can walk it more that once I ended having to wait for AAA to show up locked my keys in truck at the second park but was nice that I got to interact with the owls there They walk around with them on their arms hawks also I will be going back to that place its just up the road for Angie house in Largo How I haven't know about it gets me I google nature parks and have found several so I am a happy camper Owl eating his lunch with us
its is also another place I can volunteer at and they are getting a bald eagle

"Be kinder than necessary, for everyone is fighting some kind of battle"
Getting on to say goodnight! We thought to go to the park late this evening. Traffic was bumper to bumper coming out but we went in anyway. Did not see much in the way of elk, too dark. The moon however was beautiful shiining on the moraine. Then we too joined the long line of traffic headed out!
Came home and prepared a great dinner. Football game today was exhausting but we won!
Shirley, how was the trip? What was the best part? Did you enjoy your traveling companions? Did your animals tell you how much they missed you when you got home? How are Allie and Cheeto getting along?
Lolly, safe travels home.
Got the laundry done yesterday but not the upstairs cleaning so that is today's chore.
Bai Bai is totally alone at the moment and is doing a solo sleep. Cute.
Bears still safe. Still raining in Scotland. Berry nest wet. Our nest lovely.
Shirley, how was the trip? What was the best part? Did you enjoy your traveling companions? Did your animals tell you ow much they missed you when you got home? How are Allie and Cheeto getting along? How is Hunter? Did Hunter behave while you were away? Is Kathryn still within the range of sanity? Finally, how is Luna? Sandi and I want to know and so does Kay, please.
Off to finish my coffee and peruse the newspaper. This may be a do-nothing day.
was quite the busy day and late night we went to LOGANS for tom's bday dinner. Niki was the only one not present as she had to work. But there was a lovely dinner with plenty of animated conversation. I love that Michael is starting to reconnect with Chelsea. They've been a bit separated for years as Chelsea has chosen to be "more grown " up....married, house, kids and Micahel has been the party boy. now Michael is coming around, having political opinions, social opinions, etc, and joining in the "more adult" world and......wow it made for such a great evening.
They stayed fairly late and then Niki (who got off work at 9) came home and joined in. I had to unwind with some chammonmile tea after they left....so it was late before I went to bed, but I wouldn't change a thing!
We have had some lovely rains. Today my friend Callie is coming over to work on our banner for PPD. I want to paint some rocks too. My eagle should be finished later today, and yes, I will share.
Tom and Michael are at the Titans game downtown. There is a drum circle later, that I MIGHT go to , depending on weather.
Not a lot else going on . Just happy, content sitting here with coffee and a dog in my lap and a smile in my heart. Love and hugs to each of you on this beautiful day! Namaste and blessed be!
I am resting comfortably in my own bed at home this morning. It was a wonderful trip, but it is very nice to relax and take it easy today. I do have pictures and stories to share. It will take awhile to organize things. I just may hang out in my pajamas all day.
I see that we have had visits to the nest from the royal pair.
Good afternoon to all ♥ I have been at our cams - Hope the buffering on the OD cam soon can be corrected. Lovely visit and it was a good long one. The HD is so real!
Janet - so happy that when I mentioned an Eagle Rock that you took me up on it. I am anxious to see a picture of it......... ♥
Very windy her today and a bit chilly but no rain which had been in the forecast
I may need to go and purchase some Mums - so many different colors - grandson works at Nursery and that is where I will go.
Happy to have Shirley home - I am sure she is still up in the clouds about her trip! I wonder if she will enjoy Cheeto, the new kitten and I bet Allie was in her lap pronto!
Will try to answer your questions, Judie. I had very limited time to get online. I did try to get on the blog, but I could not find the end of the list of posts. I tried posting one comment, but then it kind of got lost. I am pretty sure it posted, but my phone did not bring it up, and I didn't have my laptop.
I kept my phone on airplane mode most of the time, so I could use it as a timepiece and a camera while avoiding connecting to the towers and incurring expenses.
Yes, Cheeto and Allie have both greeted me. Cheeto gave me a funny look that said, "Who are you and why are you here?" He seems to have decided that I must be okay since everyone else has accepted me.
It turns out that Allie and Cheeto already knew each other. They were housemates in the kitty rescue place where Kathryn found them. Kathryn said that Allie hissed a bit at first when Cheeto arrived, but that Cheeto just purred. Now they are happy companions.
I think I may be coming down with a cold. I think Julie might have the same problem. I have asked Kathryn to go out and get me some Zicam. It seems to have helped me before.
WELCOME HOME SHIRLEY and like all the other waiting to hear about your adventures
1201 punch time
I found out today I have NO Asst Mgr I am sort of limbo since the job title they gave me doesn't really exist 2009 but its still in there for peeps like me I guess I looked at the 3rd week schedule and I wasn't again schedule so I asked my CoMgr who is my asst and she said NONE LOL she told me to just get oone of the mgr to put me in so I asked Carmen again to put me in and also told her I have put iin for Wed for a dentist appt so once again I am fixed till the next schedule I will just have to remind them I guess
I see we had a late morning visit by the royal couple so nice that they are coming to the nest after the installation Hey also did you know two other nest had camera maintenance the same day we did was on FB
Did they visit at sunrise I will have to go to FB to see if EagleCam posted anything
SHIRLEY that is the only thing about air planes they are full of germs There was a report on the news in regards to that The air vents, tray tables and arm rest are the worst But the bathroom doors are good because that is the area that is cleaned often We remembered that when we travel to wipe the area mentioned down with a wipe \So hope you get over it fast
Goodness only knows where I might have picked up a cold virus or whatever. Kathryn asked if I want the Zicam immediately or if I can wait until she finishes with lunch, etc. I told her I would appreciate it immediately, so she is off to the store. I think she is expecting to be a little late meeting her lunch buddies, but I need TLC today.
Wahoo, so nice to have you back home, Shirley! We're all looking forward to your trip narrative and pictures! Happy news re:Cheeto's great fit with all members of the family--bipeds and quadrupeds alike.
LOLLY, wishing you and Jack safe travel as you head for home!
JO, have a good time Mum-ifying!
JANET, family times are such good times, especially when adults act like adults and kids will be kids!!!
JUDIE, I'm joining you in a do nothing day! Only necessities will be tended to. Ain't it grand? Thanks to you and SANDI for posing all the right questions to SHIRLEY---inquiring minds want to know!
JUDY, you used the time Wisely til' AAA responded to your call!
Love all the panda, bear and nest reports! Thanks to those of you who supplied them.
What did I enjoy the most? Well, I had a good time at the Moulin Rouge, scandalous as that might sound. It was a fun show with plenty of excitement, including a scantily clad young woman who jumped into a tank full of swimming pythons. At one point, we thought we might have a roller skater flung off the stage and onto our table. We did have excellent seating--our table touched the stage.
I also enjoyed the Eiffel Tower, though we ran into a challenge in getting to go up to the second level. When we first went there, it had been evacuated. The story we heard was that some young men had tried to climb up on the tower, which caused the closing. We re-scheduled our visit for Friday, our last day in France. It is a very crowded place, and we were constantly reminded of the presence of pickpockets, but I got some good pictures.
We spent a night at Le Mont Saint Michel. It was a place I did not know about, and I would recommend it as a great place to visit. Valerie, Julie, and I did not climb the numerous steps up to the abbey there, but we had fun visiting the shops and interesting places at the base. It was terribly windy when we were there. It's definitely a place I would like to visit again. I believe the abbey was built in AD 900. It was interesting to visit places that have been around for so long. I could go into more detail, but you can also find info online.
Shirley all of your pictures on FB were really wonderful - You got some really good photos.. I'm sure you will have an album before your finished. The Normandy Beaches was a favorite place to visit for my daughter and hubby and son. There guide was the finest for information she said.
Praying that cold just disappears! Relax - glad your are home! Do tell - what did you bring home to Hunter ???
I brought Hunter a t-shirt from Normandy. I picked up some post cards, etc., as well, and thought that he would like some of the euro coins I have. I bought a number of souvenirs--just small things--and I have not entirely decided who will get them. I did not have room in my suitcase for anything very large. I did not take my biggest suitcase because I wanted to be sure I would not have problems with size/weight limitations. And, I just didn't want to haul around something so big. I was somewhat amused that Val thought my suitcase was "enormous." It weighed a bit over 30 pounds, and the limit was 50.
Home from a busy but nice morning at church. I was going to try to mow this afternoon but it is cloudy and humid. I would survive I guess but hmmm. I have so many other much more fun things to do inside. I am trying to teach Patches to use some artificial grass which I plan to put on my back deck come winter. I think it would be a "Godsend" for her and I on those cold icy mornings. To my surprise I hauled it out to a favorite spot in the real grass last night and she used it. This morning I scooted it up to the patio area and she used it again. I will leave it there for a few days. We have some rain in the forecast next week. She is not a fan of wet so the plan is to put it on the deck that day and let her see she doesn't have to stroll around in the rain in wet grass and hoping it registers for her. My poor girl I have sort of half changed the rules a little BUT she seems to be "going" with it pretty darn good.
Dinner was early and now it is finished. I think I have a new PBS show starting tonight... 9/8c on MASTERPIECE on PBS.. 'Indian Summers'. Judie hope you are going to watch too.
Don't forget this evening the ****Supermoon Lunar Eclipse Facts*** This will be the first time since 1982 we have had a supermoon eclipse. The next will be in 2033. Partial begins at 9:07 pm
I just love the sounds of the live feed without the winds I hear crickets wouldn't that be great to sleep with
Just got home from Angie house I had to pick up the chicken rice with broccoli and cauliflower that Carl made was so good Angie gave most of it to me said she and Carl didn't want any more She is taking some to work to give to the guys there is no way I could have ate in all in a couple of days My house is stinky big time but did it hit the spot LOL
Loved hearing your story of your trip SHIRLEY and on the suitcase issue when we went to Cancun you should have seen us we weight our cases in line and se hurriedly put some stuff in other cases to equally the weight out I had lots of their stuff They bought lots of souvenirs like etched glass wear for the bar and other stuff me not did buy Jordyn stuff so that contributed to their weight issue also I think I only got a pain of flip flops for myself
GLO love the idea of the grass good thinking ahead of time
JANET waiting with baited breath to see the eagle rock You may have to may many and we will buy them
We got a tad over a inch of rain Started right before I got off work
Hope to see the moon tonight with the clouds being there ours says 1015 to 11 something was on the news and not positive I am sure Paul put on FB will check it out in a bit
Sad news at SWFL nest. OZ has been re injured. Crow is on the way to get him now. It is a miracle that he was seen and found. Thats pretty much all we "know" now. That nest is very dramatic and kind of crazy this year..
Glo, what an amazing little Patches you have. Good winter weather plan. So sorry about OZ. Hopefully, a recovery will be possible.
Shirley, so happy to have you home again. Stories as you have time. Just enjoy being home and having some truly wonderful memories.
JudyE, do you really want to sleep with crickets? Maybe a Florida thing.
Jo, I am headed to watch Westminster and then will try Indian Summers. Most likely, my eyelids will fall down asleep before the programs are over. Overcast here so may not be able to see the Blood Moon.
Off to my recliner. Wishing everyone a night of restful sleep.
Judie She is pretty neat little dog. Still is pretty leary of other humans until she sees them several times and all goes well. She hasn't had to deal with ice and nsow ever so tat does lie ahead. It will be much easier on her and I if we can get this and I think we have a good chance.
Our fierce Raptor Ozzie from SWFL Nest has been located. He was found down on a farm not far from nest injured. This is unfolding as we speak. Thanks to Heather Halle for confining him to her porch. He is safe now and CROW is on their way.

My friend Callie came over and we made our banner for our event in 2 weeks. I did a little house work, made dinner and here I am. Now, for a nice quiet evening………………………
STRONGHUNTER: welcome home and feel better quickly!!! JUDYE: I like crickets as long as they are OUTSIDE> I remember many a nights in mom and dad’s where one would get in and be in the baseboard or something and that little thing would make the MOST noise!!!! I checked out the nest cam awhile ago. Nice to see that we will be able to observe night activities. Wonder if we will have spider issues.
Hope that Ozzie is going to be okay.
Still trying how I will load all of those pictures on my computer. I need to be able to see them on a larger screen than my phone before I decide what to post. Having a few issues with transferring.
Kathryn says that Cheeto likes to walk around carrying an item in his mouth. He just jumped onto my bed with a small piece of paper in his mouth. He seems to be playing with it. Interesting . . .
Thanks to all the eagle angels that Ozzie was found - He had not been seen for 6 days and also the M15 hasn't been seen for 4 days. I knew in my 'gut' that somethings was wrong. CROW will fix him up again and I also hope that M15 is alive and probably injured near by.
Yes Ozzie and most likely M15 have had a long and very difficult week. My guess is there are or atleast will be folks scouring the territory trying to find M15 tomorrow. Prayers for our wildlife. It is a beautiful albeit pretty tough kind of life. Most leave it all to their Creator and just only know to pray for their safety and or lack of suffering. That is only way I can find peace with it at times.
On a positive not patches used her artificial grass on the patio again tonight. Even if she will only go there in winter it will be easier than shoveling a path through the snow. Patio is a little sheltered from the north wind and a smooth surface to shovel off a small spot . Still hoping she will now transfer her acceptance of this grass to the back deck. Stay tuned.
It was her birthday also today what a neat present to be able to help Ozzie she said he was drinking water in the pond like no tomorrow and went to fly and got stuck in barbwire and didn't fight when they picked him up with a blanket the pic look like he was just waiting for a taxi on her porch
I must get off the computer and get to bed its after 11

Goodorming my eagle friends. No cable or internet service here this morning so I am on my phone. I'm using another sick day today - I could really get used to 3 day weekends! :)
I was able to watch the eclipse last night - what a beautiful sight!
Brian Lynnis & Freyja moved into their permanent apt over the weekend. Their personal belongings arrive tomorrow so they can finally get settled in.
Thanks Glo for your above comment - I am just signing on and information of Ozzie was my main concern. Happy CROW made the announcement and I'll check future comments from them about his condition. I also pray for someone to find M15. It must have been a horrific battle. Times like these I think about our Liberty with a sad heart !
We have rain in our forecast this entire week. Hop0efully we get a little peek at the sun. Oct is coming and we could probably get an Indian Summer week or two.
HERE'S HOPING FOR A FRESH NEW THREAD SOME TIME TODAY ♥
Me too MeMa Jo I am glad he is where he needs to be. I am thinking we are learning many of our adult older eagles may find this kind of ending if they live out their lives naturally. None of us will know for sure but eagle cams are sure teaching the height and depth of life in a wild eagle's nest.
I agree with you, Glo. There is a sub adult pestering Harriet at her nest. It must be that time of an eagles' year to hunt for a mate. Just like our Shep did - better now then waiting until a peep hatches.
Yesterday there was some suspicious actions at our own nest. When both were in the nest it seemed they were on alert and then one other time Shep really started squawking and flew out. I pray we don't have drama at our nest this season.
Good grief. So much happening. Patches is easily learning to use artificial grass, Cheeto comes to play dates with his own toys, JudyE missed the cricket point but Janet and Lynne1 got it (listening to versus sleeping with), Shirley has a cold and I hope she feels better today, Janet had a serious case of stuttering, Ozzie has been found and hope he will make a complete recovery, hoping M15 is either okay or not suffering, Sandi had good news from Brian & Co., Jo, I also gave up on Indian Summers/please send some rain my way.
Not much on the agenda today. Maybe some reading. Missed the eclipse because of clouds. Today is blue sky and sunshine.
Still trying to catch up on everything. I am checking out the live cam. Seeing lots of buffering, but the resolution is good. No eagles in sight at the moment.
Will try to get some pictures over here or on email for those of you not no FB. I am also trying to catch up on all of my Scrabble and Words With Friends games. It is taking awhile.
Sitting on my bed with Cheeto snuggled nearby. He spent the night snuggling with me and purring. A very sweet kitty. I think Allie is not far away. And Luna is next to the bed. I think the animals are happy I am here.
Thanks to those reporting on Ozzie. Life in the wild is no picnic. Can you imagine what is going on out there where there are no cams?
SHIRLEY, love your travel stories and am so glad your household menagerie has welcomed you home so lovingly!
"RED" BILL, have a Happy Birthday and many more!! Hope you'll visit with us more when nesting season resumes early next year.
SANDI, what a happy day for Brian, Lynnis, Freyja and the pets! I know it eases your mind to know they can now settle in.
No one in Columbus was able to see the eclipse due to cloud cover, but the pics on line are spectacularly beautiful.
My nearest and dearest neighbors are moving from their small condo to a lovely "new" home today. They're young and hoping to start a family. A new neighbor is in my future and such is life in condoland.

Yep, Shirley. I'd say the critters are happy to have you home. Enjoy. Oh, Jo suggested I try using Frank's FB account to see your pictures. It worked and I saw your picture of the Eiffel Tower but could not see any others you put there.

Ozzie is still currently being examined by CROW hospital staff but here are a few details that we can share. He has wounds on his back and near his hip most likely received while fighting for his nest a few days ago. He has a broken toe that has already started to heal but this is a concern because he needs to hunt for food and defend himself. X-rays of Ozzie will be taken later this afternoon and we will post more updates as they come in.
Thank you for looking at my rocks and complimenting them. I am working on more today…well, in a little bit. I am currently taking a break! So glad they found Ozzie……poor guy. Hope they find the other one….they called him FV for Frankie Vallie, correct? SANDI: so glad the kids have a new place and stuff will be there soon. Artificial grass….hmmmm what a good idea……will want to learn more as Beano and Dax are infinitely “too delicate” to go out in the wet and cold, lol. I’m going to get Dax a coat for the winter….the sweater did not cut it for him… JUDIE: we saw just the tinest bit of the eclipse last night, but we too had clouds. RED: Happy Birthday!!!! SHIRLEY: loved your pix on FB. I am so glad you were able to go and have a great time! Anyway….Livvy has 4 fewer teeth in her mouth now. The surgery went well, quick. Got her home, some milkshake in the belly, some meds and she is now snoozing. I’m going to go and change her icepack in a few min. Not a lot else is going on around here. Its pretty quiet, the way I like it. Will check in later, yall. Hugs.

Right on, PAULA! I think what we currently see is the perfect orientation for both cams.
all we need is now for Belle and Shep to show up HERE EAGLES here eagle Lets all say it over and over
I will be leaving a 230 to pick up Jordyn at school and then come back here till maybe 6 then to her house for dinner will take tablet with me
Between the Pope at Ground Zero, John Boehner news, and. Vet visit for Lizzie, I haven't had much time to watch the people action at the nest. Thanks to all who posted pictures on FB. The new view is wonderful.

still cam is up not the live the spinning cool looking circle
and its back had me worried LOL
it that a road on the right in the field looks like tire tracks
they seem to be moving the view is different
It's so interesting to "see" the depth of the nest even though we are not near it. The nest looks fragile in some ways and sturdy in others. Fascinating to have this perspective. How different what I see since first finding the cam almost eight years ago. And was ecstatic to watch it then!
now its back again they are playing with the zoom and pan and tilt I guess
it went out on me and I just clicked the replay in the top left corner anyone else have the issue it going out just now
I have been looking for ducky and don't see him at all maybe in the nest somewhere or thrown out last time I saw was at bottom of nest and would be at top of nest now at 11
our nest as a EGG shape to it smaller on top than bottom
Mine went out a couple of times...missed the zooming and panning..ha ha got a recaptcha at the bottom with pie pictures
Later.
there is one camera only - if you see both cams now the views are the same.
IT will be working to get the HD on the still cam. I have no idea what all the buttons are for except volume, full screen - Steve will need to educate us about them. There is night vision - guess we will see that this evening - I hope.
back from getting Jordyn and YES I see both still and live feed are the same ODD that it was different when they were working on it
My live feed has been up all afternoon and is still going.
Lynne1 - Deb and Debi have both recorded all of this. Watch for Deb's video under the

Thanks Paula - I published before reading your comments :)

Hi all - home from my nail appointment; just sitting here waiting for my first look at one of our eagles with the new live cam. The image is just so clear, even of the ground below the nest.
There is no doubt a great county love song waiting to be written about our love affair with this nest...think I'll work on that!
I really cannot believe it's already been 100 days since the stick of butter arrived...WOW!
Watching to see if eagles come in
Watching to see if Night light comes on
Someone said she hears them
I hear our eagles but don't see them.
Night vision is awesome
Good evening.
Headed to the recliner. Restful sleep for all.
Have to say the night vision is awesome!!
SED!
btw....the eagle rock is almost done.....
Howdy eagle buds Night owl just got home was at Angie helping her finish up the first fund raiser of the year we started at 10 after Jordyn was put to bed The school has 350 kids and they raised a little over 27 thousand dollars Amazing to me We had to put space aliens on necklace for the kids up to 12 and they are fashioned after star wars Plus gives more volunteer hours for the school
Angie gets plenty with being Prez of PTO
Jordyn was coughing and I told Angie that I don't think we should go to Adventure Island with her coughing sounded so croupie to me Angie called to see if they had a appt for tomorrow and No so we went to the Peds night clinic Nice that they have that Jordyn has a sinus infection No runny noise at all drainage in throat making cough so they have her antibiotic to take and odd they didn't put a flavor in it
I told Angie to call to see if she can put some kind of flavor in it Odd all the times my kids got it It was always flavored
Nice the night vision and I hear crickets
I doubt if I get up early to see and take snips of eagles for the am visit Love the glow of the nest at night Gonna be nice when its that time of the year for little ones SWEET
THANKS FOR THE PEOPLE THAT MADE IT POSSIBLE and STEVE =
There are two more parks that I found that I may go to one tomorrow

Have agreat day all.
EAGLE IN!
And now 2 eagles! Both at the very top of the nest, both digging in the grass.
Goit woke up with eagle calling LOL
Shep left and then returned with a stick. Both are still very attentive to the sky around them.
Shep left and returned with a big stick that both eagles are working with.
Oh my word - I cannot tell you how beautiful the resolution is on this camera! I just want to stay on full screen, but then I can't type!
Poof Belle, then Shep. The large stick was left laying across the middle of the nest.
poof notice still is ahaed of live feed I guess cause was running all night and buffering did it
back to bed I am sleepy I did get snips and they are in the EM fb will do album later nite
Good morning!
I jus tpeeked in at the nest too...sooooooooooooooooooooooooo pretty and clear!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
questions from the inquiring mind:
1. how long have Belle and Shep used this nest (I know it was Lib for a while)
2. how big is the nest....this really good look has me curious how large and how "deep"
please and thank you for answers.
heading to do my do and put my face on. work today! gonna rock it!
have a wonderful day! love to all!
Good morning.
Wishing everyone the best day possible.
Good morning everyone. Gosh the nest is beautiful. I am glad our pair has green thumbs lol. It really shows us the color definition on our nest. I am off to photograph Disability Dogs this morning. Gorgeous weather here. I love fall for it's beauty in so many ways.
Good Morning Eagle Buds!!!
Prayers for all in need!!!

Good morning to all ♥ Crispy cool, weather - Today is forecast to be Cooler than yesterday.
I love our new cam - however; like most I am also having a lot of buffering - It could also be due to everyone viewing - pictures Judy captured this morning and also on FB the
Eagle Cam pictures are fantastic! I hope the can pan out a little so we don't have a "No Head Zone" up at the noon position.
I am going to be very happy Monday morning when Steve returns and gives us a fresh new thread !
Good late afternoon.
I actually do hear something now this afternoon on the cam. Maybe it was really that quiet a day. Time for tea and to feed Patches.
good afternoon to all home from work!
Hi all - have been sitting here watching the live cam and lost the picture. When I refreshed the page, there was an eagle in the nest.
Now poof!
I saw the eagle, too! Has been a long time since that happened!
Live feed sounds as though eagles are roosting on the new cam ! lol.
yes Lolly...S A F E trip home!
I really hope the owls are back tonight! If I had one of those fancy phones I make an audio of the fun!
Dinner over. Scullery in order.
Lolly, safe travels home.

Headed to bed now. Nite all! SED!

was quite the busy day and late night we went to LOGANS for tom's bday dinner.
Eagles have been visiting for some time - Not sure what happened to my Eagle Alert
Good morning!
WELCOME HOME SHIRLEY
and like all the other waiting to hear about your adventures
SHIRLEY that is the only thing about air planes they are full of germs There was a report on the news in regards to that The air vents, tray tables and arm rest are the worst But the bathroom doors are good because that is the area that is cleaned often We remembered that when we travel to wipe the area mentioned down with a wipe
\So hope you get over it fast
Heading to FB
My G key keeps popping off on my laptop got to keep a eye on it
Goodness only knows where I might have picked up a cold virus or whatever. Kathryn asked if I want the Zicam immediately or if I can wait until she finishes with lunch, etc. I told her I would appreciate it immediately, so she is off to the store. I think she is expecting to be a little late meeting her lunch buddies, but I need TLC today.
Guided tours are great, but it was very nice to decide on my own when I would wake up this morning.
Good Morning Eagle Buds!!!
Prayers for all in need!!!

I was impressed with the visit to the Normandy beaches and the museum and cemetery there. I learned quite a bit.
This morning's visit
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RS3lcuHO1MA&feature=youtu.b
Shirley all of your pictures on FB were really wonderful - You got some really good photos.. I'm sure you will have an album before your finished.
The Normandy Beaches was a favorite place to visit for my daughter and hubby and son.
There guide was the finest for information she said.
Praying that cold just disappears! Relax - glad your are home!
Do tell - what did you bring home to Hunter ???
Hi Jo,
I brought Hunter a t-shirt from Normandy.
Haven't given any gifts to anyone yet. I need to sort things out first.
Don't forget this evening the ****Supermoon Lunar Eclipse Facts***
This will be the first time since 1982 we have had a supermoon eclipse. The next will be in 2033. Partial begins at 9:07 pm
Eagles should be at nest around 7:00 - hope you get to see them.
Going to sign off and go to finish some computer items
Goodnight to all and SED & AOYP

Sad news at SWFL nest. OZ has been re injured. Crow is on the way to get him now. It is a miracle that he was seen and found. Thats pretty much all we "know" now. That nest is very dramatic and kind of crazy this year..
Good evening.
I think the crickets are a soothing sound and I think it may be part of those sleep machines and I use to love hearing them in KY
my delete I see GLO let you all know about OZZIE being injured again My heart goes out to the eaglet he wanted his nest back so bad
Our fierce Raptor Ozzie from SWFL Nest has been located. He was found down on a farm not far from nest injured. This is unfolding as we speak. Thanks to Heather Halle for confining him to her porch. He is safe now and CROW is on their way.
THIS IS WHAT WAS ON FB
I like hearing the crickets. And I will be watching Indian Summers. Like Judie, I hope I can stay awake. SED to all
good evening to all
STRONGHUNTER: welcome home and feel better quickly!!!
JUDYE: I like crickets as long as they are OUTSIDE> I remember many a nights in mom and dad’s where one would get in and be in the baseboard or something and that little thing would make the MOST noise!!!!
MEMA JO: of course I took you seriously! An eagle rock only made sense!
Its been a busy day here. Tom and Michael went to the Titans/colts game downtown. I didn’t get to see them off…..they left about 9 a.m. I stayed in bed a bit longer. I like one day a week where I can just wake up when I am good and ready.
My friend Callie came over and we made our banner for our event in 2 weeks. I did a little house work, made dinner and here I am.
Now, for a nice quiet evening………………………

I checked out the nest cam awhile ago. Nice to see that we will be able to observe night activities. Wonder if we will have spider issues.
Hope that Ozzie is going to be okay.
Still trying how I will load all of those pictures on my computer. I need to be able to see them on a larger screen than my phone before I decide what to post. Having a few issues with transferring.
Kathryn says that Cheeto likes to walk around carrying an item in his mouth. He just jumped onto my bed with a small piece of paper in his mouth. He seems to be playing with it. Interesting . . .

This is the link to the most recent pix of the additional rocks I have completed.
Thanks to all the eagle angels that Ozzie was found - He had not been seen for 6 days and also the M15 hasn't been seen for 4 days. I knew in my 'gut' that somethings was wrong. CROW will fix him up again and I also hope that M15 is alive and probably injured near by.
Very nice pictures, Janet.
So I am guessing that the two eagles got into a fight.
Stay tuned.
Once again IT isn't official yet that it is Ozzie
We need a statement from CROW when they see him and confirm his band number
GLO - artificial grass sounds like a winner!
Janet - FB page I saw the rocks - Eagle one is great and so are the rest
Judie - I did not continue to watch Indian Summer - to deep for my enjoyment.
the gal that found him took a picture of the band and says it is him
It was her birthday also today what a neat present to be able to help Ozzie she said he was drinking water in the pond like no tomorrow and went to fly and got stuck in barbwire and didn't fight when they picked him up with a blanket the pic look like he was just waiting for a taxi on her porch
I must get off the computer and get to bed its after 11
Well I'm calling it a day

Good Morning Eagle Buds
Hearing something sound like fluffy of feathers
no eagle sighting so far and I will be leaving in a few min Good lunch for someone else if the wake up and tune in
Goodorming my eagle friends.
Have a great day.
There is now a confirmation from Crow that the eagle is Ozzie. No further updates yet. Stay tuned.
Good Monday morning to all ♥
Thanks Glo for your above comment - I am just signing on and information of Ozzie was my main concern. Happy CROW made the announcement and I'll check future comments from them about his condition. I also pray for someone to find M15. It must have been a
horrific battle.
When both were in the nest it seemed they were on alert and then one other time Shep really started squawking
and flew out. I pray we don't have drama at our nest this season.
Good morning.
Wishing everyone the best day possible.
Happy Birthday
to an original Dadster
Red aka Bill Wigley !
Enjoy your day and the new year ahead
Good morning,
Still trying to catch up on everything.
Happy birthday Bill!!
Good Morning Eagle Buds!!!
Prayers for all in need!!!

Good Report from Robyn and Tori:
Back from UMMC, good report long way to go, one day at a time.

Good afternoon to all.
I’m going to get Dax a coat for the winter….the sweater did not cut it for him…
JUDIE: we saw just the tinest bit of the eclipse last night, but we too had clouds.
Hugs.
