Good morning! Slept late and I am really slow moving this morn.
Laurel ridiculed me for having my Christmas decorations still up. She did it with a twinkle in her eye. On the other hand, I have decided to leave them up. Then will not have to decorate in 11 months. lol
I have so much to do here in my house that I do not know where to start. I know, time to pick up my kindle and start on a new book and just ignore the house!!!
Slept til nine this morn. Felt good! And, of course, missed all the eagle action this morn. I have been going so hard with this move that I have not remembered to bring the cam up first thing in the morn. Gotta do better!

Update:
the last of my summer annuals have been thrown out and the pots put away (I had 5 geraniums and a pot of dragon-wing begonias that were still green and flowering until this week's low temps);
3 loads of laundry washed and dried; hanging stuff hanging but other stuff not folded (that can wait til Sunday night when we're watching TV);
3 bathrooms cleaned;
upstairs dusted and vacuumed;
3 wiener dogs have been out to pee and poop.
I need a nap - forgot to turn the alarm off last night so I've been up since 5:45am. 45 minutes to re-energize and I should be able to tackle the IEP I have to write.

New live feed is fantastic. Nest looks so clear and especially beauteous when Belle and Shep are there.
Took the day off to fight my way through the grossery store. Was mentally annoyed by all the "elders" who block aisles checking lists and coupons and using their carts to trap others in the toilet paper/Depends aisle. Then realized I was looking in a mirror.
Shrimp on the grill tonight. Ribs for the 'Skins game tomorrow.
Sure would be cool if Challenger could do a fly-over for a Redskins game. How better could it get than Challenger and a big fat "Skins win."

Both of our cameras are working perfectly this A.M. I'm happy to say.

Hi Margy!! We are just home from running errands! Have accomplished a little today, but certainly did not push it.
Did not go to Denton, did not go to the boys first basketball games and both won!!! This is Jacob's first year and he scored two baskets. Woopeeeee! Jacob had math homework over the holidays. I saw that he got it done on Thursday. He did it so cheerfully and took correction cheerfully. So proud of him....I see hope for that boy!! Joseph I know is on the right track...now to be sure Jacob is there. :)

She is also cooking her first meal in the new house. Yea!
They still have a ton to move. Laurel has emtied the house, but Joey still has all the "stuff" in the garage to move as well as all the "stuff" he has on the walls in his office. If only he had helped pack before this move!!!!!

My nieces and I joked, we think their brothers thought things would just Fly Off the Shelves and land where they belonged....NOT!

Jack and I are considering hiring a piano mover. The thing is there are two pianos!! Years ago we gave Laurel our piano for the boys. Michael is our piano player but he married a grand piano. lol Then Joey got his mother's piano which is in poor condition.
We encouraged him to sell it to no avail. We will pay to move one but not both. They do NOT need two!!
We lost a piano to exposure to the elements, Lolly, it was heartbreaking...it had to go to the dump :(
It was kept in a farm outbuilding that had leaks and critters
But I played chopsticks on it with great vigor before it hit the road

I've had a great day wth Isaac...lots of good play time! He is doing extremely well. Stats running strong and he seems to be tolerating the increased g-feed rate quite well. They are slowly transitioning him to bolus feeds and right now he is continuous feeds for 20 hrs then 4 hrs off. He was weaned another step on his pain meds today without any withdrawal symptoms & he is off all diuretics...PROGRESS!! To top it all of, we had a heat wave here today...30 degree weather...who neeeds a jacket for that?? I managed with a warm fleece even with the long walk to the train :-)

Actually what took place with Kay's computer is this:
her son in law went over her computer with a fine toothed comb and changed her server from Explorer to Firefox.
I think Kay is just waiting to get back together with her son in law about it....I just threw out system restore without really thinking it through....guess I might have mixed apples with oranges.
I betcha Kay will be back with us SOON

Alaska Tsunami Warnings came in to coastal BC last night before I went to bed. It is all good no tsunami...I am in the interior so not at all affected.I feel for the coastal people however. Thank you LORI and SHIRLEY.
SANDI I DO NOT like the sound of YEMEN!!! Yes he needs to learn Arabic but tell him even Arabs do not trust the Yemenis!!! The Tribal folks in particular they change their alegience to the highest bidder. NONE of the Romantic Poetry and being in Tribal Desert land. Tell him to always be on the look out and to watch over his shoulder regardless of how friendly they seem to be!!!

Sorry I needed to let you know...this is not a good assignement...
JUDIE I do not know if it is the lot of an immigrant but governments rule as a general rule tend to confuse me and scare me!!! It is important that I see them as human beings and the lessons come to me of late that they are just that. I became scared about not remembering the dates and in yoga pracrice all of Christmas week the women I practiced next to were from the Government office that I have to see to get help and submit my forms. I find that when I understand that they are only rules and they are really trying to help people I become less afraid...It is like fitting pieces of the puzzle that is my life. I also acknowledge that there are people who are less than honest with the governement and that is the culture that the workers have to take into consideration. I work with honest and I work with seeing human beings just like me trying to do their best in a situation...instead of bringing forth my fear I try to bring forth the best in me and in them and then it gets all resolved.
I will be well prepared. I will make a chart/ a time line and use it to fill the forms and take my documents with me and accept their help and feel gratitude for their being there doing their jobs. So much easier for those of you born here, but so much full of fortune to have immigrated and been accepted here and lived forty years of my life learning and searching and my potential is possible to realize...I am a very fortunate woman...

Snowing here.Had a terrific day. Very happy with my trekking poles as I walked in the snow today and did not feel lippery at all. Irish and Scottish music fiddle and sometimes harp too...very good concert.
The visit with my friend was good she is an author and she wants to get her fifth book published and is working on creating fictional story...fun to hear her talk about character development...good insights.
Walked back and it was dark and the town is still decorated looked very pretty n the snow...people were friendly and cars were driving carefully and considerate of pedestrians.
WOW Belle spent the night in the nest!!! Awesome...

well i am up late and waxing sentimental. i've been on this blog for a year + now.... and thinking about how each of you have become a part of my daily life.... and how thankful i am that i accepted judy's invite that day....
took the kids (amelia and olivia) to the ice rink tonight. who knew it was so popular on a saturday night! must have been 300+ kids there, college age kids....some younger....

Really wanted to sleep a little later this morning. But by 5:30, I was so sick of Denny's snoring that I wanted to suffocate him with my pillow. When I came downstairs, thinking I might go back to sleep on the sofa, I noticed the laundry room door was open (I keep it closed b/c one of my granddogs loves to use that room as his bathroom.) Sure enough, there were 2 different kinds of messes to clean up on the floor - not the way I wanted to start my day!!

Hoda, I'm not happy with Yemen as an assignment either, but I wasn't given a vote. He has already been in Pakistan, Iraq, and Afghanistan which didn't make me happy either. I can only do what any mother would do and pray that he stays safe.

Denny and i will be going to the eagle nest this afternoon - supposed to be a sunny day and in the upper 40s. I won't see eagles like Glo sees eagles on her outings, but just seeing 2 will make my heart happy!
The pics Denny took the last time we went were all blurry - some setting got changed on Denny's camera. He has fixed it now. Sure wish he had a lens like Lori's or Glo's, since we are across the water from the nest. The dock that we found to sit on would be a perfect place to set up a tripod. Won't say a word to Denny about that b/c he would buy the lens and the tripod in a heartbeat! =)

My brother-in-law and Sis continue to need prayers. They are try to get used to his ostomy bag. It has been really hard. The doc told him he lost 19 lbs. in 30 days. He will start his chemo. and radiation soon.

Good morning everyone. I gather from quickly scanning back you all are havign a cow this morning :-) oh and last night too. Hmmm left over "moonshine"? Guess I'd better turn on the cam. I will be making a Glo's Glimpses for blogger today. It's overall been a great start to the eagle season here and well also grabbed a cute one of Dex in our first snowfall near Christmas. If you are on fb you may have seen it but for others well lets just say there is still some puppy in my guy :-) HAGD everyone.
