Welcome to the cool crisp weather this morning - I call it great hiking weather should I be so lucky.

PEPSI has been saved - Shirley so happy he allowed you to pet him and he even purred for you. Hope the weather holds up and that he sticks around.

Steve Thanks you for the new thread and hope you have seen Judy's still cam pick with both our eagles in the nest. I guess it is House cleaning time.

No plans for my Monday - tomorrow is dental cleaning......

Thanks to STEVE for the nice new thread and happy to see JO has a nice new feather in her collection !

Thanks for the offer, LORI ! You can come here anytime though you won't have to go head to head with my docs !☺ Today Hugh is leaving work at noon and will be taking me and Julie to our doctor appts., and also getting Seth after school. With a super SIL like that, I've got it made ! I'm so looking forward to this appt. with the neurosurgeon since the pain is now severe again.:o(

SHIRLEY, Pepsi is one lucky cat with you and a bunch of neighbors looking out for him ! So happy to hear you are home ! Part of that hotel experience was a nightmare !

JUDYE, thanks for the Yahoo album update. It's delightful to see our regal eagles ! Shep's spot is as prominent as ever, I see.

Will try to report in later with medical update---no promises ! I may wait til' tomorrow.

Love and prayers for all ! ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥

Stopped in to say Hi and good afternoon. It's not afternoon here but i sure did miss the morning. I have been up since 3 am with Dex. He took the last of his one month script and we decided to see if he is better now or in fact will need to be on t the rest of his life. Let's just say he needs his meds and I will pick them up in about an hour. Prayers for Kay and Sharon and their Drs appts TODAY. I am trusting Sharon to get on the stick and get there and I know Kay is looking forward to her appt. I can not imagine at all why the pain has returned in severity. Pepsi needs a "new home". Just sayin. OK will wish all of you a good rest of the day. I was thrilled to see Belle and Shep in their nest. Shep is now almost 2 years older than when we became aware of him. I think his spot is permanent which indeed does help us to KNOW it's him.

I'd say West Virginia Day but I think much of the country is getting this beautiful weather

Happy Monday to Everyone. Had dental appt. today also.
Was so great to see JudyE's pics yesterday of our eagles!Thx for nabbing them! Today my still cam is just rainbows.
Hope Kay gets some help with her problems!
I have seen Ms. Shar on here, but didn't hear about any DR. appt???!!!
Wanda, glad you have found a way to help GG! Dr. Wanda!☺

I don't want to have to start everyone off again steadily with an addition to the prayer list, but our friend Danny from Annapolis who had the heart valve surgery last summer has a potential blood problem. We just learned that he has had spiking WBC for quite awhile. White count goes up and down, but never as low as normal. He's had numerous tests, MRI, is now seeing oncologist. Next test will be bone marrow & it will be about a month til results. So that may be when we need to pray.Would be thankful for a few "good news" prayers in advance. His wife, Jeanne, my Godfather's daughter, must be beside herself but has kept all this a secret from our group of friends since June!

Lolly said...

Oh, jack knows his hearing is bad. He laughed too.

Dex has his meds refilled now. He has slept much of the day which he has needed to do. i took a nap. He ate his supper and we are going to go for a walk. He will rally on the medicine. it works wonders for him actually. I was hoping he could get off but alas we will fill it now for as long as he lives. He only makes it a few hours without it and he is a sick little guy :-9. He will be playful by tomorrow atleast I am hoping he will. I too am stopping by to see info from Kay and Sharon.

NCSuzan said...

Good late afternoon everyone! Is this weather not just perfect?

JudyE, I may be able to help you with your computer issue. Are you using IE8? Do you have to install Flash all the time? Then you need to upgrade to IE9. It uses HTML5 which is not supported in the older browser. Just go to Microsoft.com, then go to downloads.

So many things going on here. Shirley, what an experience. So glad you and your family are home.

I want to list everyone but know that I keep a list and everyone is in my thoughts and prayers.

Please take care of yourselves.

JudyEddy said...

SUZ I tried the IE9 and didn't like its layout of the favorites and the tool bar I went ahead and let the ASK be installed I just x it from the tool bar I don't need another search engine and the radio doesn't get my local police and stuff so I just disabled the tool bar it also came with the weather channel so I took a update on it after Abode tried and got it anyway so I will just keep it disabled so there show them LOL

NCSuzan said...

That's ok Judy. Hope it works for you.

More meows and purrs. He got in my lap this time. I noticed that I get a little itchy from patting him. I have heard you can be allergic to a cat different from your own. Oh, well. I have plenty of Bendryl.

Boy, Margy! We could help fix you up to be a bird by Halloween! You could get correct color sweat suit & attach feathers to it!Or just do a top w/wings and wear tights! ☺
Shirley, you're a saint for taking care of Pepsi. Talked to my daughter tonight and her hubby in Wales just put a deposit on a kitten from a lady breeder in the town where they're staying! Thank goodness they can't pick it up until Dec. as they go on vacation TH.

Remember the bottle of vodka I got LORI you ask for pictures well when Vickie got it done Well that got me to thinking over the past years I have been asking Vickie for pic and have never gotten them HMMM I have decided to do this basked my self I just got back from Walmart being I don't have to be to work till 10 and bought the stuff I probably over did it big time and guess what we don't sell baskets anymore of the shredding of plastic wrap for them so I bought tuelling from the new fabric depts that is why we don't sell the others something had to go to make room for sewing and fabric also artificial flowers are gone
OK here is what I go a bag of pretzels, box of club crackers and can of Kraft cheese, 6pk of OJ a 6pk of cranberry juice, a can of peanuts and two really cool tall glasses a huge basket and a bail of straw to put under it and the tuelling is purple and a roll of ribbon I am going to go put it together and will post pic I took a pic of everything in basket but not with it wrapped So I need to go and do the shower that I haven't because I have been at Wmt shopping and finish the basket

YAY JO got the feather.

LOLLY and JACK are making good time...I wonder if they will see a bear this time...

A cool day here and a very good practice of yoga. I did a lot of house cleaning and did some cooking too. Autumn is certainly in the air and it is a joy to not have the very hot temperatures. I agree with SANDI on that point...

SHIRLEY you are an angel for looking after PEPSI...now I wonder why the owner is not doing something about him???I feel sorry for the little fellow.

I hope DEX improves with his meds GLO...

We are at Raton Pass for the night. We drove approx 570 miles today. That is a lot, but we are in the mountains. If we had stopped earlier it would be more like desert and the middle of nowhere! Raton Pass is in the north east corner of New Mexico. In a few more miles we will be in Colorado.

We will drive straight north now and through Denver. Maybe get to Cheyenne, Wyoming tomorrow night. We are in bear and mountain lion country. No garbage outside.

Prepared a great dinner tonight of Italian Sausage and peppers over Parmesan Cheese grits. yummy!

SHARON, so glad you went to the ER! Keep up posted on the results. Hope the ZPac does wonders!

LOLLY, wooohooo! 570 miles in one day is a lot. I remember from when I drove from CA to MD!

Busy day today. After work Loo & I are going to DC to do a project for 9/11 Service Day at an apartment building that needs some work...then home to get ready for second sleep test tonight, well, it's actually the fitting of the mask and testing the air amount needed.

Don't have much time to comment on all I've read, but I love you all and hope you had SED!

Good early morning to the early birds, SANDI, DANAMO, MARGY, JUDYE and all!

Good beautiful Tuesday morning my eagle friends! 52 degrees in Bethany - could hear the ocean when I fell asleep last night with the sliding door open - wonderful sleeping weather!! High of 73 today!

Glad to hear that Shar will live, Shirley is taking care of Pepsi (hmmm, another cat in her future???) and Lolly and Jack are making good time on their trip.

Judy, what a generous thing you're doing with the basket!

Looks like a busy week - I'm getting a new special ed. student today, another new one tomorrow, and another on Thursday - all boys! That makes my caseload 16 with only 4 of them girls! Plus, 10 of them are identified as "intense" meaning their disabilities require intense services in the classroom. Gonna be a challenging school year!!

Have a good day all!

The anniversary of one of the most somber days in the USA is here once again. Those who were born that year are almost teenagers. I find myself wondering what we have learned as a country and are passing on to them. We say we will never forget yet it is up to us to teach what it is we want them to remember. God Bless the families of all who were lost and along with Magpie I too want to add "special thoughts of endless appreciation for all our Emergency Responders, Fire Fighters, Ambulance Personnel, Law Enforcement, the Military, Veterans...and all the families....the list of those who protect our country, our liberty, our safety....is endless

Thank You to all of these and more"

Today is a day that all those who suffered a lose on 9/11 are in my thoughts and prayers.

oh dear thanks Glo....I think I have to wait until I get to my personal computer but I will surely watch it...

and Good Morning T-
Bird and Buddy...

Please give our regards to Sharon....and that we are wishing her a speedy recovery !

I don't know if Sharon has checked in but she went to the emergency room yesterday. Finally action was taken. They cut the infection, dead skin out, and gave her another antibiotic to take with the one she is already taking. They numbed the spot when they did it. Needless to say when the numbness left she was/is feeling some pain. She will take some medicine for that today. I'm so thankful that something was actually done. She was finally led into the solution. Let's pray it worked. Her cold is getting better too.

T-Bird said...

Glo-those "4 legged critters" sure are something special.

magpie said...

Thanks, T...always good to get the additional news about Sharon

and Glo: I did NOT wait, I watched the video here...had to keep the volume low, but will watch later and NOT keep volume low
Truly touching and inspiring.
Thank you....again Hope Dex is better today and that you got some good sleep

Snow on the peaks to our left.

Happy Trails to you and Jack!

I remember the first time I ever saw the snow-covered peaks of the Rockies and it was so amazing!

OH LOLLY I am singing that you keep the snow in Colorado for a bit longer please!!! I like MARGIE love the road and the spaces and the majesty of the mountains...I remember the drives through the Oklahoma pan handle and then into New Mexico or up to Colorado...Dad used to not like the panhandle part too much...your comment about your experience of the panhandle reminded me of that...
